"Telling you. He's right and everybody else is wrong. I'm just simply it's it's okay to ask questions. We're not allowed to do that now. We have to accept the storyline that the only possible thing you can do. Get the vaccine, And if you don't get the vaccine, then you're gonna die. It's it panic. Porn is ruling the day. Why is it wrong to ask questions? If we're going to follow the science and I think it's important we do that. You know if I ended up with Covid, my doctor said the first sniffle you get you call me and we're gonna get you taken care of. I trust the man. I don't know that much about this, but I'll trust the doctors on this, not people who are not doctors. That would be the national press who ridicule those who don't do things their way. Mm. Today's automotive update is brought to you by Freeman, Toyota and now Ed Wallace. Renault was the first automaker to push the European Union to move back the ban on internal combustion engines from 2035 to 2040. So now the end date for gasoline and diesel powered cars is back in play. The Ford Motor Company is higher. Doug Field, formerly head of Apples project for either an electric car, or, more likely a software division for use and electric cars, prior to Apple Field, worked at Tesla and at Ford. He'll be there. New. Chief Advanced technology officer. However. Still, Lantus has hired Christine Fue el, formerly a Ford marketing executive. She is going to be put in charge of the Chrysler brand, and while we will assume she's very bright She also doesn't seem to have real experience in running a car division. That mobile is going to launch the robot taxis in Germany and Israel next year with an eye to operating them across Europe by mid decade. Yeah, we'll see. Finally, for.

"And he never had another hit. That story coming up from Ed Wallace with the moment in rock and roll history at 7 55. Well, the big story in Texas this morning is that, uh, that much talked about that much argued about The voting bill that sent Democrats scurrying to Washington, D. C. Where they say for weeks. Is about to be signed into law and joining us now live from Tyler, Texas, where it will all happen is Clayton Neville. Morning, Clayton. Dave. Good morning. Yeah, 11 o'clock this morning. Governor Abbott is going to be in Tyler with Senator Brian Hughes, who represents the Tyler area. That's why the ceremonial signing is here in Tyler. Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick will be here as well. And representative Murderer who has his name on this legislation will be here to this is a bill. As you said, that has had a lot of pushback from Democrats. They broke forum over it for months. This was passed, though, during the second legislative session, and today, Governor Abbott will put him Signature on it, Dave this bill or this law in just a few hours. What it will do is limit access to mail in ballots in Texas. It bans 24 hour and drive in voting. Republicans say that it's really the next step and restoring election integrity. Well, Democrats say it discriminates against communities of color. And people with disabilities. Nonetheless, though, it's going to be signed here in a few hours in Tyler, Texas, when will this go into effect? Yes. So this is obviously a ceremonial. You know the governor? I'm sure before he gets here, Health officially put his signature on it and then It will be law in Texas now. This isn't really going to matter much until elections actually start rolling around, but that's coming up here pretty quick. So next time you go to the polls, these will be in effect. Do you know if you heard anything about any Democrats who plan to show up in protest and make a stink of this, or is it all quiet on that front? I haven't been looking out for it so far this morning, and we will see, Um maybe another benefit to having it in Tyler, Texas, is you You may not have it as much as that, right? I know exactly what you're saying. Yeah, in another in another city like Dallas or Houston or El Paso or something like that San Antonio But this is a big deal. You know, this is something that people were outraged about and supported. But a lot of pushback did come from other states to across the United States because Florida and Georgia have enacted, um, similar laws to advance where critics say it restricts access to voting. So this is something that the whole world and whole nation has been looking on. I wouldn't be shocked if there's pushback, but I haven't heard anything about it for this particular sighting. I'm picturing picture and governor Abbott with a map of Texas in his office, and all right, guys, where can we Put the pan that'll have the fewest protest areas. Yeah, this would be the spot. Well, I don't know. Maybe, but it was certainly I think it's a these text is one of the more conservative areas in here. Rural communities. All right, thank you very much. Clayton Neville is SAR report. What a what a gorgeous morning to be able to just kinda hang out in Tyler, Texas. I mean, you can do a lot worse than that, for for a daily assignment. Remember the guy During the capital riots. They got they got. He's got, like the the buffalo Horns, and his face was all painted shirtless, but he's got like the weird headdress thing. Yeah, they referred to him as Cunanan shaman. Yep. Well. He He's disappointed that Donald Trump didn't pardon him when he was still present. Course he is. His defence lawyer said. The man pleaded guilty after taking part in the January 6th unrest. Jacob Chance. Lee is his real name. He's been held without bond since his arrest. And on Friday he entered a guilty plea to obstructing an official proceeding. This. This is the same guy who, when he was arrested. He was saying he needs a special diet, right? Yeah. Who was a well? His mom was fighting for him saying you can't keep him in jail. He needs his. Whatever its fruit by the foot. I don't know. Whatever was So he's he's a little bit of a nutcase. He's uh he's been he was, uh yeah, And while he was in detention, he underwent mental exams. Was diagnosed by prison officials with transient schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression and anxiety. I should not have used the word in that case, but because that's not right, but yeah, he does have some problems and, uh well, he could. He could be sentenced up to 20 years in prison. Yeah, that's wild. And he this guy was at a lot of events. It wasn't just the capital right? Like you saw him at a lot of high profile protests and demonstrations in anything that Really encapsulated President Trump at the time. It was always he was always like, right place right time for him. I don't think it's gonna get me 20 years in this because even the prosecutors acknowledged that he was not a planner or organizer. No, he like most of them, you know blindly followed this idea which I'm sorry. It was complete nonsense this Q and on conspiracy it was. It was a bunch of people who wanted to get behind a movement because they needed something to get behind. And and it really none of them. Orchestrated it. I mean, that doesn't mean they're not guilty. Somebody something wrong? I would guess that somebody orchestrated it. But it might have been somebody just trying to make, uh Donald Trump. Look bad. And his followers in general look bad. Did you finish the HBO documentary on Cue in on yet? Yes. That's really, really something. It wasn't the payoff at the end. Really great. Yeah. Yeah, I'm in that anyway, Watkins or whatever you wanna call him. He he told reporters, or I'm sorry. This is, uh, Chancellor. Yeah. Chance Chancellor cord, cooperated with the investigation and did inform on a group that he saw stealing classified materials. So he probably get get off with a little bit of, uh, you know, a prescription to go get some treatment. Right? 7 45 right now. K l I f It's traffic.

"Huh. Was a throwaway song from a studio session, But it came from some musical stars. That story is coming up with Ed Wallace with a moment Rockwell history. 7 55 7 41 Right now. The Plano Independent School districts is holding an emergency meeting this morning, getting underway in just a few minutes to decide whether or not to require Masks on Plano campuses. Clayton Neville is there in Plano? Clayton? What's going on? We'll tell you what, Dave, We just heard a life chance here a few moments ago. We've got dozens and dozens of people really on both sides of the debate out here and the argument from some his choice. Now the others are that masks or the safest idea so plain osd at eight o'clock this morning will hold An emergency meeting to discuss masks possibility of perhaps the mass requirement. We know that a lot of school districts in the Dallas area or in defiance of the governor's order now the legal system has delayed a lot of that. So we're just waiting for that to play out. But here in Plano parents on both sides of the issue, they brought their signs. They brought their voices. And they're going to be heard with the public comment portion of this meeting a little bit later on today. I would imagine this could go a portion of the day with all the people who were wanting to comment. Yeah, you know, there have been several announcements in the 30 minutes that I've been here for people that have said if you want to speak, you better get in there now. So yeah, that that sign up list is filling up. I'm looking right now in the crowd. I just kind of walked to the back of it to get an idea. And I would guess none of 50 60 people, but 50 60 parents lined up outside of the I s the board meeting before this emergency meeting. It's not not typical here in Plano, so certainly a lot of activity Waking up this morning at Plano. I sc. Well, that's what's not typical is having a board meeting on Monday morning, a week after school starts. Why? Why now? Yeah, and eight A.m.. And you know, we'll probably find out more on that in the meeting for the exact reasons for the emergency session. But from a lot of the parents I've spoken with, they feel like there is some pressure because other districts like Richardson SD, which neighbors Plano, Dallas, I s D and several others across Texas have been issuing these requirements. The pressure is building. You know, there's there's certainly those who are expressing their opinions about no mass requirements. But I'm looking at about 2025 people who are Pushing masks right now, too, so The district is getting in on both sides. Any idea how the board members stand on this issue? Well, you know, they haven't put a requirement in place now, so they have opted in the past not to do this. However, Plano ISD has strongly encouraged mask wearing but they have been against mandates. At this point, the question will be. How much does that pressure or how much does rising cases impact their decision? Today? You can hear the crowd certain to kind of Chance again. It's what do we want? We want choice. That's what they're chanting now. Amy behind us. What does that mean? Choice. What? Which position are they taking? They're taking the position of no mass requirements. They want the parents to choose whether or not their Children were masks. All right. Thanks. Clayton. Sounds like it's gonna be very interesting. Very unusual. Gathering there in Plano this morning. Coming up on K. L I f There's a blood transfusion controversy. Over vaccinations will explain that coming up next but first right now, traffic on the 57 45 years Bill Jackson. And and after two years, there is an out if one of them wants out. Gates Foundation CEO Mark Sussman on Wednesday, said quote They have agreed that if after two years either one of them decides they can't continue to work together, Melinda will resign as co chair and trustee. And would receive personal resources from bill for her philanthropic work. They are not tied to the foundation's endowment. The New York Times boiled it down and said. Mark Zuckerberg is going to build his own city. And that what? Elon Musk is doing this? Yeah. Zuckerberg City? No, That's not what they're going to call it. We're gonna call it Willow Park or something. Bland like that, and we're just going to happen in Menlo Park, California, which is in Um, uh, Silicon Valley Silicon Valley. Thank you. Um, and it's going to be 15 on 59 acres. It will feature 1729 apartments, including about 320 that are affordable housing. What does it mean the other 1400 Not affordable, exactly. Up to 120 units designed for senior housing. You don't have to work for Zuckerberg or Facebook to, uh to buy or rent a home there, but, uh Uh, you know, they're gonna have supermarket supermarket like it would be kind of like celebration. Florida. I don't know. Why have you ever been celebration? Florida? What is that? It's a Disney community. And it had and it was one of the first communities to have all the houses with the front porch is, you know, kind of like, um What's that? Leave it to Beaver days. Well, I don't know You go to the community, and it feels kind of Weird kind of throwback. Kind of like Stepford wife Fish. Oh, no, seriously, are their streets that go in front of the houses or the streets all go around the back side and the houses all face together in this big green expanse. We're playing around the house is but I I like these these communities that, uh You know that typically have high rise apartments and condos and so forth. But they've got everything. Excuse development right down, you know, right down the street. It's convenient. That's very that's very cool. You know what today is? Today is July 8th 1981. Uh, no, no, it's not. July. 8th 2021. "Hey, Dallas forward. Well, for whatever reason, they denied what their song meant For years. That story coming up from Ed Wallace with a moment in rock and roll history at 7 55 right now, at 7 41 at K L. F. Scott subway here in for David Amy this morning, Nicole deals in the producers bruhth putting this show altogether. And Nicole is a mother. She's got a 17 year old right, 17 in high school, and I wanted to calls opinion on this story because I don't know if she's mother of the year or if she's just playing stupid. This woman we're talking about. Her name is Casey Garcia. She's 30 years old, and she lives in San Bellisario, Texas, which is just outside El Paso. Now she was very unhappy with the whole virtual learning hybrid model because she would complain that her kid would go to school her daughter and come back and the daughter would say the teachers aren't really paying attention to us. They're paying attention to the online kits. Making sure all the virtual learning kids have their stuff in order and there there and checking in and all that stuff. So Casey Garcia decided to take matters into her own hands. Literally. She decided to dress up like her daughter. Put on hoodie, a big old black face mask. She even went and got, uh, like a bronzer like she got tan to match her daughter's skin complexion. My gosh, Her daughter's 13 mind you in middle school, and she's how old 30 Oh, Mhm. There's not a lot of 30 year olds. I know that look like seventh graders. My God, but she decided to prove a point. She dressed up as her daughter and went to school. The middle school is Garcia Enriquez Middle School in Santa Lazzari. Oh, and it worked. She got through all seven periods of the day. Not one teacher noticed, nor the principle Oh, my God. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my God. Now I pose the question. Is she mother of the year or idiot of the week because she was arrested criminal trespassing charges because she posted all this on YouTube to make a point saying, like Our schools aren't paying the bleep attention to our kids because the teachers are focused on virtual learning. They don't know what's happening right under their noses right? A 30 year old is in seven classes. And a teacher had no idea some of those teachers. She's probably older than, uh, Here's my reaction. Okay, hold on standing ovation. Yes, Nicola standing up right now. Oh, my God. She is Mother of the year, First of all kudos to her because she believed her daughter. She's coming home saying, Oh, gosh, Mom, you know you're paying taxes, whatever. They're not teaching us anything there, But you're not paying attention to 13 year olds worried about taxes, But message received. Thank you. That's the Nicole deals anyway. But she believed her daughter and she took it to the next level. Who would go this far? Oh, my God. I love this story. It's absolutely hilarious. She did the right thing. The school should be completely embarrassed. Hello? That's true. They should be embarrassed. Then they should They should. They should shine a light on a lot of parents. If you're listening to this in the school your kiddos go to still so doing the hybrid thing. Ask them how much they're able to get away with. You think kids that virtual learning from home were able to get away with some stuff? Hello? Oh, my God. Wow! 17 years difference between her daughter and her and she was able to mask herself, she said. We need better security years at our schools. I didn't do this to get views. I didn't do this to get likes. I didn't do this. So people in El Paso never wanted to talk to me again. She did this to prove a point. The point was proven. Definitely proven. She probably ate lunch in the teacher's lounge. You said she had to eat the little horrible square pizza as they get in the cafeteria. If you forgot your lunch, you get that peanut butter and jelly sandwich Woman. Yeah, my God, That's better than the prison lunch. She'll get 7 45 at Kale. I have morning news at Kale. I have dot com. Let.

"Got Mama CASS Elliott. It was the food. The stories coming up from Ed Wallace with a moment rock'n'roll history at 7 55. You're talking about shortages because of the pandemic. Here's a shortage that is not because of the pandemic, although it probably has made things a little bit worse, according to Bloomberg News, the headline yesterday Fried chicken craze is causing us to run low on poultry and not just wings. Everything the entire bird this cause it seems like every fast food joint is coming up with the chicken sandwich these days. How many times have we talked about it? Here is a stretch of road that we used to live on in Frisco that had their own Preston. That it was like I think we counted. Caroline and I counted seven chicken restaurants over the course of two miles. Oh, yeah. Nuggets and tenders and wings and Patties and Pains and on and Chick fil A and all these other places and the demand, according to David Gibbs, CEO of Yum Brands who owns KFC said demand for the new sandwiches have been so strong that coupled with the general tightening and chicken supply, our main challenge has been keeping up with that demand. I think people think it's hell fear, but then again, you then you're frying it So there goes that right? Often you eat chicken, Which is why I eat chicken a lot. Yeah. I I love just like a grilled chicken salad. It's like my favorite We chicken probably three times a week. Seymour occasionally so I'd like to buy the thin slice chicken. Oh, yeah, that's that's great. What you can do it if you want to, You know, save a couple of pennies and do a little bit of work yourself is just a slice of A breast down the middle. Oh, I thought you were gonna say Have a chicken out back? No, no, no, that's a little more than just a little bit of that. Sure. Can you see me in that? No, I just can't see me in that site. Slice the breast breast down the middle. You know lengthwise, it's too much work and then pounded Yeah, that's too much for you See what I mean? It's just much easier to buy the thin, sliced one. Okay? The global chip shortage is going from bad to worse. We're talking about Elektronik chips. Yeah, like you used for your phone, Your apple iPhone and your car. This is causing some plants to shut down like BMW had to pause production of his plants in Germany in England, cause they couldn't get the chips to make the cars. It's interesting. I wonder if the price of cars will go up. This is a court. This is according to, uh, this is due to the panda. Yeah, right and shortage of people who are at work and that sort of thing. Same kind of problem. Now we're going back to paper products. Oh, yes. Oh, yes, toilet paper, too. Well, it zipped. The price is going to rise. But I've already noticed that paper towels so expensive now, Have you noticed that? No, I don't notice prices. When I buy stuff at the store, it's because I needed I don't What difference does it make? I have to pay the price. Whatever it is. I noticed prices just cause I mean, if your kid sometimes I will compare products on the shelves and look at the you know, per item price or something like it's really hard to find paper towels now. For under, like 7 99. And he used to be you could get him for like 5 99. You can get those real skinny. Want the real thin ones that rip apart? They don't tear down the middle and no, no, I don't The ones we have here. Procter and Gamble is raising prices on things like paper towels and Pampers and Tampax. This all a price rises. You know what? I'm coming in September? Yeah. You know what I hate when they repackage something, And they say new look lower Price and It's like half the quantity, right? That's the new Look. It's a lot smaller, ridiculous. The Cowboys picked a guy to join the team and Scott sideways going to join us here. Toe. Tell us a little bit about Micah Parsons and the rest of the draft first day. That was last night. He'll be along here in five minutes right now at 7 45 traffic.

And now Ed Wallace, the prime It's formed in 1959, and in December, 1960 recorded their first song for Talma Records. It flopped. So did their second song. In fact, the prime It's recorded nine songs and four years and their best didn't even make the top 75. 1964 Lamont Dozier and his song writing Buddies of Motown felt they had a surefire hit, but Gladys Horton of the Marvel, let's hated it, telling Dozer No way I'm gonna sing junk like that. And no one else at Motown wanted to sing the song either. So does your Force Motown's weakest group to record it. They did under protest because they hated it, too. "Motown knew it was a hit song, but no one wanted to record it. That story's coming up from Ed Wallace with a moment rock'n'roll history at 7 55. Right now. It is 7 40. It's 20 minutes before eight o'clock we've been watching the last couple of days. Democrats absolutely losing their minds. And I don't mean that Hard to say, I don't mean it judge mentally but I mean, they're really being hysterical in this saying this so called trial, which is not in fact a trial and I don't think we can say it too often that this is a political process. The second impeachment of Donald Trump it not just because it's Donald Trump or it's because it's happening this year. It's because that's the way it was intended. That's according to David Cole, who has our constitutional expert and friend on these matters. Is David on the line with us yet. No. Okay, one of the things we might be able to talk with him about. If not today, in the near future, is that you, David? That's me. All right. Good. Glad to have you with us. All right now, Never mind that I was sorry about that. That's quite all right. We're all spread all over town here. Amy and I are both in our homes. And Scott is trying Tonto keep everything coordinated by throwing up. Signals smoke signals and waving flags anyway, Eh? So what have you seen so far? This process and what's your reaction to it? Your comments. Air will take it is it's political. It's done by politicians. It's for me is someone who's around a lot of trials of lawsuits. It's really something to see the jurors. The senators on both sides go back after the day and speak to the lawyers and helped him get ready for the next day. That would be, you know, criminal, you know, then a core proceeding, but here it's par for the course it's allowed. It's encouraged. And so it's sort of a remarkable thing to see that it reminds you that it is political. Both sides are playing to their strength. The Democrats strength is what happened on January 6. That was terrible. We feel awful about what happened to our Capitol building. Decide they're going to hear today talks about a couple of Legal arguments that don't make a good video, but that have power to the Republican side of the house. And then they're gonna have to make a vote once they hear that, but they're a little bit like two ships. They don't have a lot of clash between the two sides, and the arguments are important to them. Questions that I have. Does it appear that they changed any minds. I wouldn't think so. And what is Trump's team need to do starting today? Yeah, it probably not. I mean, these these senators are very sophisticated politicians, They know exactly what their constituencies expected them. And I, There might have been a couple of people trying to figure out what the best side would be the toe move with, But I doubt that was more than a couple of people with that many as for today, the old adage in trial work isn't for winning. Sit down. And that the defense side the Trump side should be winning because they have enough Republican senators that seem to be going their way to avoid two thirds. They should talk for a little bit. They should make their arguments. They should sit down and try to get out of Dodge. David. I don't know if everybody else was able to hear everything You said. I heard very little of what you said because of a Some some bad technical problems there. Let me ask you one more question and see and see how it goes. S O. Each side has 16 hours to argue its case. The Republicans took a full 16 hours to get up and say the same thing over and over again and in different words. I mean, what else could they do? And now it's the Trump defense team. What can they possibly do for 16 hours? Will they use all that time? And will we be seeing other senators standing up to defend the former president? Yeah. Hopefully I'm coming through this time. They should. They should not use 16 hours. They should make their two or three constitutional points like clearly make them decisively without a lot of wandering around like we saw the first day and sit down 23 hours, tops. On Ben, Turn it over to the centers for their questions and their vote. So when do you think the vote's gonna happen is gonna happen today? You're gonna happen Sunday because I know they're taking Saturday off for the Jewish Sabbath. Don't it will be today because even a couple hours with breaks and whatnot, attempts toe takes longer than you might think in. The centers do have an opportunity to ask questions. That's probably not swaying any minds, But it is important because it's the public is watching this and senators want people to know how they view the issues. I would expect that to take today. Perhaps even longer. If they're a lot of questions, then the vote will take place at some point when the Senate reconvenes. And after that happens, we will be back on the line with you. Thank you very much. David have a great day and a good weekend. Thank you. Take care of advice. David Cole, Constitutional lawyer from Lynn, Pinker, Hearst and Schreibman in Dallas. Coming up. He sold that go to the parkway and build that beautiful policy built out there. And I I said, I understood you that, McNatt says. I put it on Lee on the stores for like, six months before they bought him. He's in. I bought it from guy name Ed Wallace. Wow. What a zoo riveting. No, it was cosmic. Yeah, but literally my embarrassment. Woz. I have heard nothing but incredible things about him for 45 years. It's not like Hardy hadn't been on the show for 20 years and all sudden, Here's Dave Marie. It's because he's energy supply. Sam. Dave. I said I, Ed Wallace, Dave. He goes Dave Moritz. Wow. What? There was a point. His Cadillac story had a good reputation. Right, Frank into very good. That's right. Yep, that's great. Everybody said he was just a great guy still is right. So my point is now you guys have to resurrect it. Absolutely. Yeah. So you're going to move the store? We are not not at first focuses his own Collins just north of 30. Probably third quarter 2022 is when the story gets moved. Will takes us back to your explaining to me where you're moving it to, uh I know where it is, because it's gonna be Collins and 20, Collins and 20. And it's just we found five acres that happened to sit in GM financials parking lot. When you told me it was next to GM Financial? I said just west of the water burger, huh? That's because the jack in the box there doesn't do that much business, folks. Yeah, but they got a Starbucks in the water burger. So I mean, what more do you need A have sonny catty corner across the street. That's a shame. I should know all this stuff, right? But they also have highly mas to their during Lancaster's across the corner classic Buick GMC on, but I looked there. I drove it again. I saw the acreage just like you don't even need a phone. You don't need anything for Jim, a financial You can tie your credit APS to rock and throw it. You run to the window drones it just climb over. Drop him. Send him back. It would be great. Yeah. You don't need a drone. That's a perfectly good waste of 35 Ft of armed 10. But we are gonna build another store and we're gonna move into South Arlington correct on one of the great ironies of doing this is there Wasn't that one that long ago 20 years ago. All the manufacturers said we need to leave South Arlington because it's dead. Right Right now. That's where they because we did a study and we said, Look, Think of this is an open point. Do we go to North Fort Worth? We go to Mansfield or do we go to South Arlington and GM cattle? I came back after doing a market study and said South Arlington is the place to be. That's where the hell out of me. GM told me that there are partner we trust him on this one. See if this rings a bell? Oh, no. Here we go. The factory people are very nice. They're not necessarily your friend, huh? I've heard that before. I know you have because you got it from the same place. I got it absolutely again, folks. That's not picking on factory people. They have an agenda. Their job is to keep factories running 100%. And sometimes that Clyde's with dealers, and you're trying to just do solid business because they want you to buy more. In order to the factory to run it, 100%. It is simply the nature of the beast. But that being said you're going to go to South Arlington, which is Absolutely exploded. Correct for dealerships and everything else. In fact, Mark was telling me they're about to do the complete redesign on the mosque store again. Are they? Really? Yeah, they're going to the new design that mas is sad. And I said, Mark, It doesn't seem like that many years ago. Randy had me out here because you remodeled it to this. Yeah, the one. I guess. Jason just did it on the West side of Fort Worth. So that is the new and Myrtle's Burlison. Looks good. Jason did a great job. That is not what it looks so cool about it. Have you been inside? I have not been inside is the coolest design. To a small platform dealership. I think I've ever seen is like walking into your dead by car. Oh, wow. This name it's need. It's comfortable. It's cozy. It's like just nothing. What? You would think an inside of a dealership look like but You just finished remodeling Cadillac store on the West side of town too, didn't you? We did. I noticed. We have the new face up new faces up. Everything is done. This is a joke sometime a few weeks.

"From Ed Wallace with a moment of rock and roll history at seven 55 I have thought just a couple minutes ago. You what had a thought. No. Really. Yeah. That happens Occasionally. Every once in a while. It's like a belt. You know, it goes off in my brain. What was that? That I was thinking that, um uh, that if the Oxford English Dictionary Has determined. I'll never get over this, you know, has determined that literally and figuratively mean the same thing. They said. That's OK. Usually you use them interchangeably. Yeah, that could be the solution to our pronoun problem. Well, I just talk about this. I could say to somebody I could go home and say, Yeah, Yeah, I was talking to Amy this morning, and he said Because we're just going to exchange he and she, his and her interchangeably, and that way nobody has any problem with it, so maybe they will someday. But I think we're I think where Long moving toward that, you know. Yes, in in in in other social, cultural and personal, I wonder if the AP stylebook will change. And say it's okay. To do that in broadcast. Copy. The AP stylebook is pretty conservative. I don't know a zoo matter of fact, that was part of the discussion It was having with somebody that we used to work with you. But about the Oxford comma. Yes, not a fan of the Oxford comma. You're not no How about you? I never discussed it actually. Kind of like it when you when you list things Say three things. I went to this. I went to the movies with Caroline, Amy and Scott. Yeah, I'm I put it in. I'm sorry in the drama before and are we gonna argue? No, I'm just going to say that it to me. It's like Punctuation is supposed to be there for clarity. It's not there to gum things up. I just looks nice there. Oh, it looks nice. Okay? I feel like the sentences naked without it over punctual. It's like I can't stop double spacing in between sentences now see, that's something that most people never even heard of. My kids single space, and I'm always like no double space, and they're like no single space. I was never taught to double space really never thought that I was always taught to double space school or in J School. In typing class. Really? Yes. Well, you had a bird brain for a teacher. She was a nice nice older life might have been nice, but she was a birdbrain. She said. I did so well in typing one she take typing to why do you need typing into this? Not just exactly the same thing faster. You learn. You learn other things. I guess another thing I don't know. I never took it. You know what I never learned Typing is how to use the numbered keys. Without looking without looking. Yeah. Really? Yeah. They're gonna look down on him. You are hunting pecker? No, I know I type pretty well, actually. Yeah, when I when I was when I went to the air Force, All right, Remember this? Yeah. They gave us a typing test, and I I came up with around 32 words a minute or something like that. You know, after deducting the mistakes on and they said, Okay, So here's the deal, Everybody gonna take a typing class That's gonna last two weeks. Unless you can pass the test again and get up to 40 words a minute or whatever it was For that test. I typed 60. Wow, because I had the incentive to do. So. What a dumb conversation. I apologize. Just one of those mornings or a di Aggressions just seemed to come. Naturally. I guess I guess all right. A lot of people have lost their sense of smell. With covert 19. We've heard about this, but we were always assured that it's just a temporary thing. But not apparently not Always. Yeah. Now they're saying that anywhere between 5 to 10% of folks. Who lose their sense of smell and taste may not get it back. And the longer it takes The more the possibility it will never come back. Although There are there are cases with other With other afflictions because this whole covert thing is still new. But there are been cases where people have lost their sense of taste and smell because of a different kind of virus, and they can come back six months or even years later. Imagine not being able to smell anything. Probably be all right with that taste anything but no See, But taste is so closely related to smell. It could be dangerous, though. The smell. Look if there's a gas leak or a fire or to smell food going back. Yeah, yeah, you know, I mean, what do you do now? They say studies suggest up to 80% of people who have covered 19 symptoms experience. Smell or taste dysfunction. How about that? Going up on Kate. Another reason to get your shot. And where that mask over your nose. You're getting a shot soon, right? When? On the sister Thursday this Thursday, you tell us how that goes coming up. "Make you know. Last time I got to drop it in front of Doris Day and I dropped it like a little girl and we had to push it on through. But you're just seeing him wince when you did the part. And now the man who said by the way, that was that was John Kenneth Galbraith, who said that? I like that the famed No. I'm not sure you did get here. We're kind of squinting when he said Good morning, Everybody. This Ed Wallace, Welcome to wheels for this Saturday morning, Joining us in studio today back Fairly quickly, uh, they gain minor Good morning. Good morning, general manager of Freeman, Toyota and Freeman Nonda and his trusted sidekick and Freeman Honda. Jeff Cole, who's back among the living Now that's right. Yes. Oh, come on, get into the microphone. Good morning. You were supposed to be here a few weeks ago. Which is why Dane was here. And then you had to be quarantined. That's correct. So you could tell how what we think of quarantines around Cale. I f yes can yell. Yeah. We just ask the audience to stay away that Z good. But now I wanted to get you here because we're At the end of January. So we're starting a brand new year and in your case, Jeff, you had it as tough as anybody last year in certain periods. For lack of inventory because of the pandemic. Yeah, we were down 40 50 cars on the lot. It was a big deal. I big deal. Did one of your ads would Dane when I said, how's the inventory and it the Toyota store? You actually weren't fairly good shape simply because of the sheer volume you guys did begin with, right? But at one point I think you said Jeffs downed about 50 with 30 coming. Yes, and work. Sure. When the 30 we're going to get there Um I can buy that. But your inventory situation has now turned around. Oh, it's much, much better. We've got 130 150 cars on the ground, and we've got another 100 or so incoming. You know, the cool thing about that is by the middle of February, Danes could be calling you going. Why do we have 200 cars and stock? So So? Um, yeah, no matter no matter where you're at, it's the wrong place to be in in the car business and the truth. But again, I want to start off the conversation because we've seen a lot of factories go off flying forward is having to slow their Chicago plan again. So we're gonna get slow on explorers going into spring market. Volkswagen's heads issues they had to close the Corvette plant again. Ultimately, the micro chip situation is still pounding the automobile industry here there and someplace else on a fairly nonstop basis. I I know that a couple weeks ago We had to slow San Antonio for the tundra. That's right. Just when you needed Tundras, because December was huge. It was sold out. I mean, literally sold out of Tundras in December, had less than five on the ground. That's an amazing story. But looking at that and going forward from here in 30 days, we're gonna be what we consider back in the spring market again and overall in the most popular vehicles, we maybe sometimes a short as we were As last summer. Yeah, one or two short, too short, exactly at all times. Yeah, that's not necessarily where we like to be. Oh, no, I mean, we We'd like to have a 45 day supply, of course, and what That means is If you sell 100 a month, you want 250 out there on the lot at all times to sail That gives you a good round figure. Um okay. You're You're using much smaller figures that I'm used to you using for Freeman Toyota? You know, if you want to sell 500 cars a month, that means you need For 715, but that's not true day. It's not true. You can. You can turn your inventory as they're coming in. The main thing is being able to have good arrival times. That you can count on because most folks will wait a week or so to get exactly what they want. Um the problem comes in is when they tell you it's coming next week, and then it gets pushed back three weeks with no explanation. Yes, well, I think we've all dealt with this over the And then when the car business came back, he came back with a with a power that Even we did not anticipate not even close. That's right. We reopen the dealerships May 1st and every county they weren't close and all of them They weren't closed in Colin or out were terrible is or Parker County, but when we reopen them, it was like Katy Bar the door. People wanted to buy. Cars and they did. Yes, they did particularly used cars for three months and 3 3.5 months in a row. Most unbelievable. Run up scene in the 33 years. I've been in the car business. I don't think that's gonna end by the way. Yeah, I don't think so, either. And it was still there. I've got a story. I'm gonna do here a little bit that This might be the end of mass transit is we know it. Because some of the bus lines like in New Jersey, and all that they've gone from 7000 passengers, the private bus lines 7000 passengers a day two under 700. They just had to shut the bus line down and is more more businesses say working at home is good with us. That negates the need for mass transit, but it demands people have private car ownership. And I'm wondering how much of our used car business was just that day. Well You know, That's a great question. Um And it certainly has opened up to that. You know, we've been and I've talked off there if you would have told us that we were gonna be in a pandemic. That several businesses will be closed down for months. Um, inventory was gonna be tight. Used car inventory was gonna be tight. And yet, you're gonna have record sales. Yeah, that just doesn't just didn't add up. And yet we did, But again, it wasn't just what we did in the car business I have never seen. I've been around since December. 73 were the public actually came in and pitched in because they understood cars were short. They were more amenable. They were more if you might even call it sympathetic to the fact that we're short of cars and that Natural friction that often happens in the car buying process seems to have disappeared. It's moved out for sure. Absolutely. I think it was the public that made that happen even more so maybe than we did. I believe so, Yeah. When Jeffrey, I assume that was your experience because again last summer, you were really short of cars. Oh, yeah. So you had to have customers saying, Okay, That's great. I'll pick one up that's coming in and a month or whatever the case we had several Yeah. Say several, but we had a bunch of cars that were just waiting to get there so I could Get him ready and get him registered with Honda. I mean, it was there was a lot right. Dame would ask me several times that we Fred stirred everything with Honda Will their incoming still So you know, that happened several times? No, no again When I was with Honda everybody was on an allocation back in those days, so if they wanted Red Honda Accord sedan, which has just come out Here's the waiting list..

"It's the data show right here on 5. 70 K l i f Well, you don't remember her songs. Jester one movie appearance. That story's coming up from Ed Wallace with a moment in rock'n'roll history at 7 55. It is 7 41 right now it has been busy, busy busy time at the Capitol. In Austin. Uh, well, first of all, because the Texas legislature was gaveled into action. Last week. Yes, but also because they're preparing for the possibility of protests across the country prior to the inauguration of Joe Biden and Clayton Nevil spent a lot of time out there this weekend in Austin. He joins us live now with what he saw. Good morning, Clayton. Amy Dave. Good morning. Yeah, the Texas State Capitol is closed, and the Texas legislators will not be back inside the Capitol in until at least Thursday of this week, and that's because of security concerns over the inauguration in Washington. There were reports last week. That there could be protests leading up to inauguration day at all 50 Capitol buildings across the country and so Texas obviously, of being one of the biggest states in the country, and being a place where there have been armed protest regularly in the past, they decided that they would go ahead and close the Texas State Capitol building. So it was closed and the security is unlike anything I've ever seen before. Yesterday they were guard members, state troopers. Impairs everywhere. You looked lined up across the state Capitol buildings, and they were armed protesters there yesterday. Not as many as they may have anticipated about two dozen armed protesters there yesterday, but everything luckily was peaceful. We gather from from some of your reports that some of those protesters seem to have just kind of taken opportunity taken advantage of the opportunity because they know there's gonna be a lot of attention. They're at the capital for the inauguration, but they were protesting things that have nothing to do with the inauguration or politics. Per se, right? Yeah, there were a couple of groups there. One of them was organized by a guy named Benjamin. Hockey is actually from the Dallas Fort Worth area, and he told me that the plan was Never to protest the election and the protests or the rally. He corrected me when I said protest the rallies that they had had nothing to do with the breach of the U. S Capitol building, either. In fact, he said that this rally was actually planned in October. Now they have the decision whether they should go on with it or if they should postpone, and they decided as several groups that they would go ahead with this and the basic Premise behind this rally was to push for gun rights in Texas and to make sure that legislators don't take any of those gun rights away. One thing that they're pushing for is constitutional. Kerry, which means basically that you don't have to have a license to carry that something that these groups are pushing for us. Well, there wanted to make sure that proposed regulations on licenses and things like that. Don't don't pass so That was the purpose of this rally. But again any time you have armed protesters, organizing rallies just weeks after the breach of the U. S capitol and ahead of the inauguration that prompted authorities to go ahead and close the capital and take precautions. Yeah, definitely cause for concern. How much security did you see around? Was it visible or was ah lot of it hidden No, it was extremely visible, and I think that that had a lot to do with that was part of the purpose is well is to kind of be a deterrent again. They were troopers lined up in pairs across the Capitol grounds. The windows were completely boarded up. There were police line do not cross signs all around the Capitol building, and I talked to a lot of people who weren't aware that the capital was closed, who were coming to two rich from out of town and they were turned away, So there was some disappointment there, But most of the people I spoke with We're understanding of it. But again Austin as a whole pretty quiet for you, will you would typically expect during the legislative session yesterday was a gorgeous day in Austin. But there really weren't that many people out lot of buildings boarded up because of possible protests. And then the Corona virus pandemic as well. Doesn't help, too. So it was kind of an eerie scene in Austin this weekend. All right, thanks very much. There's Clayton level. Down there over the weekend at 7 45 right now, it K l I f coming up on.

More than he got last time around President Trump. Unbelievable. It's right in front of us. When that many people got to vote, you've got high passion on both sides. Big time. And I think that was the root of the problems. Very happen. Let's go to Todd and Midlothian. Hey, Todd. Good afternoon, Mr Wallace. Hide on the sir. I'm hanging out. Now that you mention it. I'm hanging out with you, too. Hey, look, I just wanted to call you, sir. And thank you because you kind of saved me from myself. I'm may have lost right wing conservative type of guy. Never since the legend happened. It's been quite upset for me. Why, and I'm I've been. I've been listening to you regularly, and your wisdom has really helped me felt digest what's going on and specifically your last week. Secondhand news at this Paul a great perspective of what we're going through and couple that with the articles that you posted not been fascinated specifically, like the US rides at the Capitol and everything read what's going on? That wasn't you there was it No. And but I will say, sir, on Lee by the grace of God, because Recognized hand bad in me, if that makes sense, and you know, it's just you. You kind of bought broad perspective in the piece about what's going on. And you know, like the guy with the dog park. You know, we just need to live our lives. But you know, I could see where I could buy into the rage. I really could let me remind everybody what I said last week. And part of it's very simple, I said, because I cannot tell you how many people wrote me. Emails on that secondhand news. And they wanted to get right exactly what I said. And for the first time ever, I actually sent the script out. I said when I used to lecture political science majors, I said, if you believe in the rule of law and a slow, intelligent, cautious changed our economic society. Those air conservative values and everybody should have them. They're great if you don't like government waste and mismanagement, those air libertarian values They're great to have to But if you just like your fellow Americans, and you have empathy for people in trouble, those air liberal values and people actually have that also, in fact, It was our upbringing and church. So the average person out there 85% of the public have those three traits in them of varying degrees. Conservative libertarian and liberal. It's on Lee at election time They tell us it's black versus white, red versus blue, and in fact, that's the big lie of all elections. Because we're all those things. That's what makes us Americans. But don't apologize for who you are. Believe may if you've listened my show, you know I could get pretty Testy myself on some real stupidity being done. I just was never one to go in protest. You know, not just wasn't may and let me tell you something. I'll also admit, most time. We're pretty helpless because I've been complaining about stuff for 27 years on air. Most of it ain't getting done. Well, I just I just thought there's real wisdom. When that morning that I just wanna let you know. Start at least one person. You helped him out. Well, thanks, Todd. But let me tell you something. I only said that and you said That's me, too. So you already had it in you. That's all it wasp. You already had it in you. Only different note. I will be seen BJ Maintain. Probably February March timeframe. Yeah. Good new vehicle. So I am expecting my Ed Wallace 9% discount. So make sure you send the ground I have. I have never said that on air. In fact, you've never heard me say, go in and ask for the Ed Wallace. Deal. Gino. Why? Well, because then I'd be as cheesy as everybody else and radio going. Oh, yeah. Tell him Ed sent you well, but I already know E. Don't mind Brother Act if you give me nice that this cult achingly give it. Let me tell you sometimes when you meet me J. I'm always amazed how he is often. The one I get the most e mails on and how he works the hours he works. Is absolutely breathtaking to may. Even I went out. I was in the business on my best years. I couldn't hold a candle to BJ's work ethic well at 51 that this makes me tired, So I'm looking forward to it, But they're the reason I'm going over there. But you know, I'll be seeing him when I get some stuff lined up. February March time framed Give vehicle and all that and more to it as rehearsal beliefs don't ever give him up. We have to have we have to have people of all different opinions to make this great experiment in America work. And Mr Walls. I'm not upset people who have police. I don't agree with. I mean, I'm happy for them to have the police. It's just I could see where I could buy into the tribalism, the rage and all that and listen to you and specifically your secondhand news last week. Somehow it just spoke to me there, but I've been reading various articles. You post on your website there. Hang it, Zeke, Lowly bringing me to a perspective tour. I can Conduct jest this me like You know what? My family's time. We're gonna be all right, you know, And it's just we're sworn live, like, all right, but I'm God. You brought him to the perspective I've always known. In the car business. You never know who your next customer is gonna be when they come in. And I guarantee you in the car business. You treat everybody the same. Most everybody's got a better story than you do. Most people just wonderful people. You know, one out of six. Yeah, they ought to be taking out behind the shed and beat once a day. Just keep him right. Five out of six Americans are solid people. There are And that's only perspective. I have we keep acting the trying to pick Vigen us. Were you in sympathy with writers or against it? Well, very few people are in sympathy with riders. They went too far, right? Yes, sir. But that doesn't mean that we're not upset about some of things The government does. Like I said, libertarianism, waste and mismanagement. This good trait to have. I just wouldn't have done it the way they did it in the capital. But that's just make Yes, sir. However, however, this one personally thank you for your very kind to say that Todd it was unnecessary because all I did was point out who you already are. That's what you realize you're good person. Have a good weekend, buddy. How you too, sir. Thank you, sir. But okay, let's go to rustle one Tyler. He Good afternoon head. Hey, what you doing, Russell? Well, us running to the grocery store and listening to you. Which ones? Uh, which one's giving you the most pleasure right now because I'm thinking of the grocery store. Now, actually you I'm disappointed. So, uh I don't want to create Texas. So you understand my thought process I called you about a month ago. I'd live in Tyler and work in Dallas, Of course, Canada, So I got too many dead miles ahead of me to think. And about two weeks ago, three weeks ago, we talked about black boxes in the vehicles about, uh, insurance and accidents and driving habits and I were I remember when I changed insurance about two years ago. They sent me a little deal to plug into the car and the truck. I told my wife don't burn out in the when you're driving to work in the morning and don't run red light spells are watching you for a month and etcetera. Well this week. We had the anniversary date of the Amber alert. Yes. So I'm thinking and I don't know how palace to get there. First of all, I am not Pro government meaning the less government the better that Z just the way I am. Actually, I'm a big believer in the smarter the government, the better, right well. Well, and what are the forecast for 2021? We'll get to that in the charts. And what else we're gonna cover. How does this this week? Change the outlook for, um for markets. Well. I've got a couple of I got a couple of numbers go to the Trader's Almanac for that, right? Like the first day they say the first six days of trading forecast the here and that right? Yes, now. That can get you into trouble because it doesn't always work right? It's about two thirds effective for for trends. The Dow Up about 1%, the S and P about 1.5 Russell 2000 Small stock index was up 6%. Medical was up 3% for the week. That's pretty good week. Okay? Because You know, I think I had to do the audition in January. They want to make sure that I wouldn't get embarrassed on. Okay. So when the program started, all right. Ah, lot of the format. Um, I I did not like what I was hearing. Especially on the weekends right there, Except for Ed Wallace. He's one of the best is really so, um, and you can't get news. You know, on the weekends like you go to CNBC. And they're doing reruns about, you know, bizarre estates and like that, And and so when you're in your car on the weekends, you know, do stuff to get any good news content. Right? So I just said well Financial news. And that turned into the market reports and what I noticed is it was great because clients would listen. Say what the heck is going on right? Washington takes a hard dramatic left turn this week. Chaos and the Dow just dances at 31,000. So we'll get to, you know, we get to dissect that, but a lot of the programs were call ins, okay? So I was going to follow that format. I've only taken one call and other than an interview, right, right. This is what made me decide. If I'm gonna have somebody on the program. They have to be a neck spurt and an expert that adds value for us as a Zbigniew leader as an analyst. Right? Um, those air that was the devotion and here's where it came from. So I had this high powered C p A on I'm all excited. First guest, okay? We're going through really The high end of tax law on tax law changes right to get to that subject. Briefly. We're about see corporate taxes go from 21% to 28% is what Goldman said. And tax everybody that makes over 400 whole lot because they're evil. Right? Those are the two policy changes. Goldman forecasts. Um, in this case, um The first guest was the C E P A. And we wanted a high level conversation. Right? So we're going over the tax law changes at the time 20 years ago. And techniques for lowering your taxes causes in the fourth quarter sometime, and so we decided to take a call right Lady calls and says Do I need to file a return if I only made three grant? Mm this last year. And You know. So the C p A is like, Well, yeah, they might not even care. E mean, you know what I mean? She had a genuine question, and that was good. What it made me determine is it's not worth it, right? Yeah. If you're gonna have somebody on you want to have somebody that adds value right off the bat. And just if you're listening to this point of fact It is ah, Khelil not to file Okay, you have to file it's not he leave. He can't pay. You could work. Some of the I R s That's not illegal, but it's illegal to actually not file. Okay, so that was it was okay. So 20 years later, we answer the first question. Okay? And then the first long play interview was was a guy that ran the world's largest aluminum recycler. Removing okay and he had prepared like 200 pages of aluminum smelting. Briefing. Yeah, and read the thing. He read it. He read it. It took us all night to add it. I've never edited another interview. Umm I just noted, interrupt if it's not going too good direction. If me is a businessman, if if I'm if I don't like it, I'm going somewhere else. Right? And so that was that was a key, All right. So Washington takes a dramatic left. Turn, right. We saw that. Yep. Okay. And policy changes. We don't know yet. We do know from Goldman. At $4 Trillion infrastructure package because they're going to get the investment banking business that right? That's gonna be huge. Now what that does it, You know the U. S debt approaching 30 trillion The balance sheet of the Fed essentially will double by the time they get done with this. And then that that sets the stage for 2022. Yeah. Goldman's phrase was they're unlikely to do anything to disrupt the current recovery. Until 2022 s so later in the year, it's gonna be important to stay tuned and one of the things that you know, in terms of the safety waiting. We're gonna adjust that. The dangers ahead during the year. That being said. I've made the case for 20% potential year old statement. But you know that's the backdrop. I think right now for 2021, particularly the first half. Is actually very favorable. Very You know, a lot of stimulus that we we already had the additional 17 to 20% money supply increase. We got vaccines on the way. Um, you have pent up demand. All that stuff says Hey, we're likely to have a pretty good 2021. What does it look like going into 2022? Yep. Is a different story. I talked to four octogenarians that have already been vaccinated this week. Clients. All right, right and Also talked to some people in their seventies and they're wondering how to get it. And Papa Dean, he went and got it it Market street pharmacy and play. No, hey, already got his. So there'll be a line out the door, right? Right. So that's anyway. But that Z good news. Even though we're in the midst of 130,000 people a day getting admitted to the hospital, um the flu season usually picks it 60,000 just to put it in context.

This week's program titled The January Effect, I'm Spencer McCowen President McGowan Group, joined by co host Alex to lean, head of client development of McGowan Group Asset Management. A team of nine. The team that cares and having navigated the pandemic, looking forward to the year ahead. But the January effect tells us something will explain what the January effect is and what the impact was from this week. What perform best in the first week of trading. We'll get to that. Alex, what else we got? Yeah. What does that tell us? What are the most likely policy changes? And potential tax law changes. They're coming with the new administration. Well, and what are the forecast for 2021? We'll get to that in the charts. And what else we're gonna cover. How does this this week? Change the outlook for, um for markets. Well, I've got a couple of I got a couple of numbers go to the Trader's Almanac for that, right. Like the first, they say the first six days of trading forecast the year and that right? Yes. Now that can get you into trouble because it doesn't always work right? It's about two thirds effective for for trends. The Dow Up about 1%, the S and P about 1.5. Russell 2000 Small stock index was up. 6% medical was up 3% for the week. That's pretty good week. If you do that, every week for 52 weeks, then it's pretty good. Um, pipelines up 8% for the week. And West Texas Intermediate crude 51 50 a big week there. Ah, Saudi cutback of a million and production per day. The good news is three U. S. Is actually capable of delivering Maura with the differential I got to say about that is is I don't think I could drive 55. Right. Oh, okay. No. Van Halen Reference. Yeah, that was Nixon invented that by the way for the 55. Yeah, to save on fuel. Yeah, And then he made us all companies sell oil at six a barrel when the world price was 30. I want to interject here just for a second. That was that was over regulation. This is this is the What the The beginning of 2021. You've been on the air for how long? Oh, February next month will mark that. That will be 20 years, 20 years. So we're starting our 21st. Year of network radio. Congratulations. Hey, thank you so much. We'll declare the anniversary now. Okay? Because You know, I think I had to do the audition in January. They want to make sure that I wouldn't get embarrassed on. Okay. So when the program started, all right. Ah, lot of the format. Um I did not like what I was hearing. Especially on the weekends right there, Except for Ed Wallace. He's one of the best There is really so, um and you can't get news. You know, on the weekends like you go to CNBC, and they're doing reruns about, you know, bizarre estates and act like that. "Was the audience hated Bob Dylan's new sound in 1965, and that's not what happened. The stories coming up from Ed Wallace with a moment rock'n'roll history at 7 55. It's 7 40 K. L I f on a Friday morning happy Friday, Scott said, waiting for Dave, along with Amy shot dropping the Canceling in the upset attitude, sorts President Trump It's coming from pretty much everywhere now, including The Wall Street Journal, who has been on President Trump's side a lot and I've criticized them before, but They've written positive things about the president in the past. In an editorial came out yesterday, they said, it's pretty much the impeachment or resignation would be the cleanest solution. Yeah, the editorial goes on to say, since it would immediately turn presidential duties over to Vice President Mike Pence, it's probably the best option. And they said Trump incited a crowd to attack. Congress waited too long to try to stop the mob and tried to get President elect Joe Biden's electoral victory thrown out. This was an assault on the constitutional process of transferring power after an election. Yeah, they say it's impeachable, and I'm not shocked. Because it's gotten to a point where most of the injuries were. It's just like the black lives matter stuff and that you're seeing companies come out and start to say we don't conduct why did how about the guy locally? The West Lake attorney right. He was let go from his insurance company because he posted something on his instagram of him being at That that rally and I don't know that he took part in an either violence. But it doesn't matter. But he was still there and he was still associated with it Doesn't matter. We did this story four years ago to went after the 2016 election. There were people walking on the streets protesting President Trump and people were getting fired from their jobs like you have. The First Amendment doesn't protect you from Consequences. You're allowed to speak your mind. You're allowed to peacefully protest. You're allowed to go to Washington, D C and hold up a sign saying the election was rigged. We have every right to do that. What if your company sees it, and the company says We don't like that. Look for the company. They have every right to fire you. It's just like we found out that Facebook and Twitter and other social media have the right to ban you. If they don't like what you're saying, And this is such an interesting conversation. This has been the most interesting conversation of just humanity. Me in the last 5 10 years because just saying the Senate's out loud still blows my mind Facebook and Twitter silenced the president of the United States. They literally for 24 hours. Yeah, they blocked his account We don't hear from the president could have. He could have released something from the White House and so he couldn't use the official. Shore White House handle POTUS, but it was just bizarre. I mean, it was almost like, like just a different world. When we stint see tweets from the president. Because they banned him Now Facebook is going to continue to ban him An instagram. I don't think he uses Instagram. Facebook owns Instagram, too. So it's the same company essentially, but they're not gonna let him be on their platforms until the end of his term. So for another two weeks or so, Twitter you see him coming out on Pinterest now joined Pinterest. Thought, releasing like ways to maggot your bathroom President Trump, but But it's just an interesting conversation to me because as Facebook and Twitter and Google have they become free space like is it is beginning on Facebook and Googling something the equivalent of you and I talking right now. Like Shut it, could you You couldn't tell a TNT couldn't come out and say we're canceling President Trump's phone bill because we don't like what he said right? So why? It's still a private company, though just like a private company can decide that We don't want you to work for us anymore because you were at the mag a rally. I'm with you. I'm with you. Private company can do its own thing, but hasn't made it to the point when it's also the public space Now, you know, banning free speech, Right? Your right to express yourself. Like the fact that we use the words Google and Facebook, But this is the media bit. But isn't the media doing that, too? With the president Because a lot of Ah lot of the networks have not been carrying his speeches because they don't like what he's saying. Or they don't agree with what he's saying. Or they say it's false speech, right? I'm with you there. There are a lot of people, mostly Democrats, I believe, saying that wasn't the fairness doctrine. That requires media outlets. I need to do more research on this, but I believe it's called the fairness doctor, and that requires media to present both sides both sides well during an election. There are certain rules like when you're within certain, um, parameters of an election like a certain amount of months or days like then, if I was doing an interview with someone who is running for election, I would need to make sure that I reached out to that person's opponents. Yeah, we're like, Yeah, like we had Congressman Michael Burgess on you. Running for election if his opponents wanted on. They had every right legally to be on within 10 days. We have to give them you know, an equal opportunity T get on as well. But this is the kind of thing that makes me question, though whether or not Facebook should be suspect to some regulations because Facebook's gone so far they're taking down photos and videos, but they're deciding what to do, Willie Meal You know, there's there's not Okay, this, this person said this and we don't like it, so we're taking down, But this person said that and that's okay. Well, who decides that That's okay. And the other one isn't Right. You know, there were no rules for that, and that that's that's why bring up the question should there be because Facebook has Facebook gotten too big for its own britches and same with Google? Well, I think the Republicans were really pushing for more standards. But now that you know they lost control of Congress who knows what's gonna happen? Yeah, zits fascinate. I think we'll have the same conversation in five years and will be justice up in the aerobatic. I wonder how Joe Biden is going to use the social media networks. I think I'll probably use it exactly like he's been using it like very Celik, maybe one or two. But is he going to keep his own account? Or is he going to use the POTUS account of what is he going to do? As the POTUS accounts going to reset to zero As soon as he takes office. They're gonna be no subscribers. Right? Everyone's going to be deleted. So.

"Well, it was a case of one Morrison stealing from another Morrison. That's not nice. That story's coming up from Ed Wallace with the moment rock'n'roll history of 7 55. And I haven't had much of a chance to talk. You were gone last week having a nice state staycation. Yes, thanks. Stan Wilson had a staycation last week You were holding down the fort. Yeah. Yeah, but I haven't had a chance to talk to you about something that we've talked about off the air couple of times, and that is Trying to keep a clean email box. Oh, yeah, Just a horrible I am so excited. Did you clean out all your emails? I did. I got a I bought a program. All right. That does it for you. Yes. Well, how does it know what you need? And what you know, you tell it, It breaks things down, you know, and Cleared out 80,000. Well, that's just ridiculous. Well, I couldn't help it. You know, I get So many every day. The best part about this Is this your work, email or your approach my personal email. So you don't clean it out every night like I have 1281. It's really too high for me. I really should just way too high. But this program unsubscribed Yuto all the garbage get without. You know, it's like, where did this come from? And you get so many of those a day. So I'm just I'm very pleased and subscribe to Betty Crocker. I Well, I don't think so. Actually, I don't remember. Well, who knows? I may have. I'm sure I probably I probably dumped some e mails that, you know. Three years from now. I'm gonna go. I needed that. Yeah. But that's the way it goes. I'm just climbed. I'm very pleased by that. Well, that's good. 7 42 right now, Kale. I have House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and representative Jim McGovern. Chairman of the Rules Committee have unveiled some proposed changes for the House of Representatives. And what they want to be more diverse. Yes. They want to be more diverse by making everybody the same, so they're changing pronouns and familial relationships to be gender neutral. You can't make this stuff up, so I can't use Father or mother. Not if you're in the House of representatives, or you work for the house, will be replaced by parent brother and sister are about siblings. Husband and wife are now spouse. Center daughter are just child or Children. Mentions here, nephew and aunt. But it doesn't say how you gonna change that? My gosh. And then it could. It gets very confusing with the stepmother and stepson, stepdaughter and stepbrother. Oh, my goodness. Sibling in law, Step parent. At some point you just refer to everybody as a person, right? Just got a blanket referral so well, that person told this person who is that person is that person related to you? Yes, that person is, But how about those people? Yeah. It's just ridiculous. You're going to need a scorecard to keep track of everybody there. Also changing semen to seafarers. That's probably a good thing. Just because, you know voted stupid, dirty jokes the chairman to chair what or chairwoman to just chair Well, that makes sense. I mean well, but is what he's chair of the what's wrong with Specifying a person is as a person may not identify as a man or woman will find that it's their problem to figure out how they want to be. Referred, you know. Chair person does a chair person then you know people, people who claim to be None. But no, I'm trying to remember non binary. Gender neutral. Mixed Whatever. That's fine. They want all they want all this respect and acceptance, and I'm fine with that. There's a member of my family. Who is one of those It was non binary. Yes and I, but I am and and That's fine. It's your life. It's you. You have a right to be respected, no matter what, but the rest of us have a right to communicate with each other. Representative Emanuel Cleaver. Took it a step further. And I think this was sort of like a tongue in cheek. Like you said a ton and tongue in cheek kind of thing. Yeah, I think so. He altered the traditional ending of the opening prayer. And take a listen to what he said. We asked him in the name of the monotheistic that Right and God, known by many names, but many different faiths. Hey, man. A woman. And that is how he said, didn't say you know a certain God and you brought up the question of why did they even do prayers? I mean, I guess we kind of need to pray for Lawmakers in Washington to get something done. I am absolutely fine with prayers in in Congress or in Korean, in courts and so forth, but they're so hot to bother about getting prayer out of schools. Why did they still do it there? Oh, Ah, yes, it's a new year, but it's the same old world in which we live. It's 7 45 Kayla old Cowboys to We're gonna check with state plan coming up next, but first traffic on the fives.
