"Opened a wait list for its beta app on android and ios and will compete with transfer wire. Pay send and people among others all right. Let's talk a little bit about drones and robots living together. Let's do it. Israel's perceptible makes unmanned aerial vehicles for remote work inspection and monitoring basically they fly over empty worksites to collect data and look for issues. It's one of the few drone companies that mixed the whole stack of software and hardware including computer vision navigation analytics it develops most of its own hardware but it does acquire chips from nvidia but percent. Oh is partnering up with a robot and you might have seen it around the internet if not in person. Perceptive spiro drones will integrate with boston dynamics spot robots spot is that famous four legged robot that you might see frightening people on in youtube videos and maybe you depending on where you live in the real world it can handle rugged terrain and recover from falls and stumbles for some reason freaks. People out the partnership will see spot. Robots handle high resolution imaging and thermal vision on the ground to see things like that seed things at this barrel. Jones can't see spot is expected to find things like hot spots on machines or electrical conductors water and steam links around plants and equipment with degraded performance. Yeah so these are usually not abandoned worksites but that need to be left unoccupied For certain periods of time So this is both security but but also just maintenance You know if a leak springs and there's no one around to see it you you benefit from one of these drones spot in it so you can send somebody out there to fix it Or any of these other things that you mentioned having spot involved is interesting because it can see some things on the ground that drone can't and potentially although this isn't part of the immediate plans you could maybe fix it up to do some minor maintenance itself you know maybe plug a plug a leak or turn off a lever or something like that so i think this is interesting especially because perceptive has gotten within the the industrial iot space a lot of credit for the apple model where they have the whole stack but it shows that there are still willing to partner outside of their expertise. Their expertise is in the air and the partner in with boston dynamics on the ground. Yeah i mean. I i the the idea that something could happen at a plant that isn't heavily manned by humans and at least you know even if the humans have to eventually come in and fix whatever's broken to just get more information about what are we dealing with here you know. They're hazardous materials. You know what are we getting ourselves into. It makes a ton of sense. And i don't know why people don't like the spot robots. I think they're really cute. It's the uncanny valley thing. it's the way that they move. Just freaks people out because they you perceive that they not real but right they moved so much like a an organic being But yeah. I think that this is great. Timing as well because there are so many construction Projects that have been put off due to our current circumstances. And so yeah there. There's going to be there's going to be a great name for this. Yeah for sure And and and i think there's obviously the the reaction of i fear this taking my job. I hear her robots and drones teaming up together to be too smart. But this is the future and and in my perspective. What this does is. It makes it more efficient. To run these complex situations whether they're construction sites are or whether they're industrial installations which leaves more money to apply to safety leaves more money to to customer service and the cynics will say but they won't do that they'll cash it out and in some cases you may be right but the smart companies will use that money to improve their business because in the long run. "And shockingly enough, I have some gaming news for you. Jason deviated you would I know I saw this and I thought this was interesting Microsoft. The xbox maker has signed a deal to buy xanax media. One of the largest independent games publishers operation may not recognize that name in and of itself but the studios it owns, you will recognize even I recognize them and I'm not a gamer includes Ed software which made doom and quake probably the last two games ever played. Arcane Studios, which is dishonored and pray tango game works the evil within and the sette the Sita Bethesda Bethesda that's also hospital right and a place in Maryland. Yes please. Maryland. There you go. Which did the elder scrolls and fallout they're going to pay seven point five, billion dollars in an all cash deal. Oh, that's good for them. Idea was obviously you know one of the premier places back in the day with Wolfenstein and all those guys, and of course, quake and quake three arena and rocket arena my personal favorite so. Yeah just slurping people up right now fire sale getting while the getting's good since nobody's going to work. That's right. Yeah. And this one this one came in through our friend Chris Lockhead sent this over yesterday Amadou. Epidemic Amazon's epidemic debate in Amazon details low bandwidth sidewalk neighborhood network coming to echo entitled devices soon. Now. We talked about this when it first came out and we're like, does anybody really need this and apparently Amazon thinks they do. and. So there, this is the whole Mesh Network where everybody's echoes and you know ladies and the tubes and things like that will create a Mesh Network in your neighborhood. So you can walk down the street with your dog with its little. You know little tile collar and if it if little Fido gets away, you can find it using the neighbors access points right and Yeah. Ask for this said no one ever know. It'd be one thing if it wasn't a low bandwidth network and if we're blanketing entire neighborhoods so perhaps less the the more disadvantaged of US could actually then get a free access to the Internet, but that's not what this is. Yeah I. This is just strange. Thing it's strange I mean you know it's it's a t to Jason. It's kind of meat. I'm sure the engineers were like let's see if we can do this because this would be cool. But I can't imagine much usage for it. Yeah, I mean I don't know if I'm missing the whole point of it, but it doesn't seem like it's required or I mean I I get I get what they're trying to do with. You know okay. I can bounce from neighbor to neighbor. So that little devices always online no matter where it goes or picks up where the spots are but yeah. Is. This something that we really need I don't see it. It's is really just a facilitate more tracking of little devices that we've talked about nauseam that we're tired of being tracked by little devices everywhere. This just facilitates more of it..

"Welcome to the. podcast this week we have the California Pariah Job Charlie James The fatman Stevens ride in who the hell is. This Preston. And the guy, yeah the old guy that never seems to get named the the your. Sucks John It's Ryan who the fuck. Is that. And the. Your words John and it was going to say the Murtaugh to our rigs, the old Guy Robert Charney. Yeah. No. WHO's Robert? Only the DMV calls. And and your wife. I. Heard. I've heard that a couple of that does happen and apparently Ryan's not doing the puff puff pass correctly. That's him off. Right. Yeah. Another one for me run say. I heard the bubbles known knowledge. So the most interesting new. Fucking John was an Easter egg for the listeners. We have listeners I guess we. We have to because I know them personally and I bugged living rap out of one of them to listen every week. I do I. I. Actually emailer it's like hey. The shows up. Have you listened? Have you almost every day? Through that individual I, been thoroughly apologized on behalf of all. She says she likes the show. So I'm not quite sure you know if it's if she's doing puff puff pass, we listen which by the way probably is a really bad idea to to be even remotely inebriated and listen to us talk soup most interesting piece of news I have seen all day. Exploding anything political Microsoft has announced a seven point five billion. That's billion with a B. deal to acquire Xeni Max media. The parent company of Bethesda Works and it's many studios. Those studios include Bethesda game. Studios ED software and behind some the biggest video game franchises of all time doom fallout elder scrolls and many more. This is a massive this. Tally. This could potentially make. Elder Scrolls xbox exclusive, which I think would be a very bad idea personally now. Is this really not like a conglomerate move I mean that's kind of what it seems to me is like just. John said, I, mean this kind of shuts down. Any gaming wars ever I've the pick up with. that. Franchise of Video Games. Looking at it right now. So here's some of the Games. They have. It's elder scrolls fallout Wolfenstein doom dishonored and pray pray originally was an xbox exclusive. I don't know what is the last release I have no idea dooms on. BLACKFORD is one of my favorite favorite games that you know not just A. Normal but open world style. Dishonored pretty bad, ass. So I'll be completely honest. I would be really surprised if they close platform D- Any of these games just because Microsoft's Microsoft's not stupid you may however I could see Microsoft making him first party priority basically saying xbox gets at first and then after say six months or so many periods of time. Playstation gets now the biggest question is. big into PC as well. So I'm wondering what they're going to be doing with the PC. Rights of Microsoft is still obviously very big and be they released most of their games PC per true. True. So I, don't think they would lean away from that but they don't need you because they're also looking glamour when it comes to the PC's but but as far as the console wars go I'm thinking that they might. You know I, I don't think they're gonNA make an exclusive at least. Yes. I think that might be something that's sort of a future plan down down the road but not going to outright ban half of the fucking people or more even play playstation from playing arguably the biggest game especially for. Elder Scrolls and the fallout series. aside from Bethesda, you have like maybe ea especially with the as sports and activision are are going to be your. Your other top tier triple AAA title giving studios. I mean, Microsoft essentially took a third of the of the triple AAA title fucking throughout I. Think One of the things you might run up to exist deal hasn't gone through it actually says on Gamespot article. It's important to note that the deal hasn't officially gone through yet although the process may be more formality than anything else. So I still think you have the government to worry about but since the government has been in one of these giant checkmark, approve all major shit I like they did the Disney Disney World come on what are we talking? And they did the comcast universal deal. So this possibly already done deal but I this is pretty big. I mean it's Bethesda soft works game studio ID Software Xamax Online Studios Arcane, Michelle, Games, Tango Works Alpha Dog and Roadhouse studios do you think this was their big move from shutting down lion's heads studios which they own Microsoft? And then shut it down. The when acquire Bethesda to make up for that loss revenues I think I think the light the lines had just wasn't producing enough honestly able was awesome but it's one game. It's one game the pink I think what it was is it just that wasn't producing enough that was content that was actually worth their overhead. Now that they have this with multiple overhead, they could shift the line had the lionhead studios stuff over to Bethesda or whoever and it may be. It's be worth the the initial investment. Let's face it Microsoft for the most part was caught. NAPPING when these all all these gaming things going on actually if you go back to the Internet, they completely missed it by two years and you know so they're not known for for being. On the cutting edge when it comes to things like this. So this falls just it. It just sounds just like typical Microsoft. And in all honesty, I. think originally, when Xbox came in I thought they came into the perfect time. They came out when contender son was waning playstation was king and they came out with the xbox the original xbox handout hands down more powerful than the playstation two I. Think they came in good. I. Think the problem is. Is they're still besides the three sixty they've never really been the console king and now that weren't playstation. Playstation has has definitely geared towards were for hardcore gaming and Microsoft has their xbox which is. You know we're we're going to be everything to all people. All right they were trying to. Yeah, I mean they. They were trying to be a you piece of hardware. The did everything for those that weren't into computers. Hey I could get this plane APP and get on the Internet. Email people play a game. That's what the new xbox is. is still kind of like I mean I don't I don't think it has ability to surf the Internet like I think the one does so it's an appliance so the reality is it's an appliance and enrichment is a gaming system exactly and that's why they always sort of one the cons awards as far Sony not play a lot you know but I mean look it's they came into Microsoft came into the game late and spin managed to make themselves You know are I mean in some people's minds? The dog I mean I've always been an xbox. Guy. I, know the three of us. Always you know very much commiserated over like an xbox because you know, hey, I buy American now dammit Aside. Microsoft purchases Bethesda Softworks in industry-changing acquisition

"Microsoft has announced a seven point five billion. I mean, Microsoft essentially took a third of the of the triple AAA title fucking throughout

"It all right so we talked about big runs and Kamar Jackson kind of disappointing performance. And now we're GONNA get into the Sunday games The first game of that day they happened to be the weirdest game of the group. It was Texans versus the chiefs and the Texans came out the gates. Hot in him by hot are means scorching. They scored twenty one unanswered points in the first quarter and people thought the game was done like social. The media was set afire to twitter. Twitter was on football. Twitter was on fire and or worried. Because they're like oh no not a Texans accents Tennessee. AFC shape it's just basically the crowd for the AFC. There's a lot of good jobs going going on for that. It was a you know. Can they flex this game exactly. Can we make this like the what o'clock we have like a one o'clock regional this game to London. It's not London so there's a lot of jokes within Patrick Mahomes ed software the jokes and they scored seven. I'm the answer to that. Is that who talk about a flame thrower like this cheese team that we saw last year that when they were there they were on all clicking that there was nothing you could do absolutely absolutely physically nothing and this is what we. This is what I kind of expected because I didn't think the Texans were that good in the playoffs play offs and I think they've been skating by ever since and this is one of those times where I don't think they were allowed to skate by no more. Because they didn't really have a good run endgame going they didn't have the Schon hasn't looked the best. He's at spidey moments outside of him turning it on and being like phenomenal. I'm no he wasn't always phenomenal all the time. De'andre Hopkins had some weird some weird miscues and he's been having a little bit more of them in the playoffs. That first half of the bills game was weird. And now it's Kinda hard to just be good all the time in the playoffs. And you can't just come out slow arose. You'll get you'll come back to haunt you and not say they came out slowly scored twenty one answer points but those points weren't really a product of them like driving down the field and making real legitimate drives more so you know place. Yeah big plays. The chiefs came out a bit flustered. And Patrick. Mahomes really didn't touch the ball for like take me two minutes in the first quarter and then also just the fact that receivers out balls in the first two possessions. Yeah that too. So there's a lot of flu he stuff going. On missile then the universe righted itself and all of a sudden cheese. Look like they're the best team in the NFL. Because I don't know if there's a team that can really the stop that offense when it decides to say enough is enough you probably have to score to beat them. But I see your point obviously obviously remember. I said when we were talking talking about the MAR and how they're not built to come from behind I always said the one thing about the city is that they want to throw the ball. They WANNA throw it fifty times five hundred yards seven touchdowns and so even when you're on them it's not over because you know how explosive that offenses and you know that really you're not taking them out of their game plan because their game basically is to pass the ball so you're basically letting them give an excuse to them to just say okay. Screw the running game altogether and just just throw it all over the place. That's why even twenty four. Nothing was early. Twenty four nothing. It wasn't like it was a third quarter twenty four and it was like okay. This is because I believe at least like I said when I asked him the first and this would appeal. And that's win. The avalanche came and then the chiefs started. They started making mistakes. Bill Bill Ryan made a very questionable coaching season going for that. Fake punt don't know why but Questionable decision and they started ripping off. Don Nobody could guard Travis Kelsey out their homes was on fire Defense play better after that. Only one more score. I believe after that twenty four nothing start start and basically they dug. It said they like the best team in the NFL. This is the reason why I think Kansas City. It looks like they have everything in front of them to winning. You have the best offense and probably one of the better not one of the top but when the better defenses and because of the improvement and they even have their best defensive lineman because the best one was hurt this week in practice so then plaguing the week if he can get back next week that just makes them that much tougher and and I just think that really overall you know they They just they just look like they're just the it really feels like a less. You know you're going to go get Tennessee next week. It it really just feels like it's GonNa stop them thinking they're going to get the super bowl in and hopefully if it preferably people probably forty an artist because you that'd be a great match up you know the four points do so and it'll be interesting to see who ends up winning that game. But I think that the you know the chiefs just like dominant teams in the League. And also you know on Houston side. A lot of people don't like Bill O'Brien. They nothing coach their teams very inconsistent. Which showed yesterday great the trash? It's just a very inconsistent team literally almost every game. You don't know what you're getting it from so a lot of people were kind of like I kind of want him to be fired but they keep so. You don't really have a reason to fire him but you kinda also there's limitations with with the team. They have to get things fixed. Obviously there secondary's a big issue. The secondary was was shredded yesterday. But the secondary's been issued the whole time You know obviously you have to get the better too because you know obviously you. Don't what the Shana taking all that punching. Even absolutely they play is bad as it usually did. The chiefs did a good job in the back in because I saw all a couple of plays with Sean had to run around a lot because he was waiting for someone to become open because they really were locking everybody down and You know this is. This is the preferable outcome obviously of your TV companies. Because you don't want Texans and titans as your game so they'll be like okay. Yes we have something that we can actually dig into market and people are going to tune into and this also if if you ought to know a rematch of earlier earlier. This year when Tennessee and Kansas City play Tennessee one blocking the field goal in the last second. So Tennessee actually has a window chances this year so they probably can come out of this knowing. Okay we can beat these guys but I know the city obviously same thing they were then too so I believe that this is going to be a very interesting using match up next week but like I say I mean you guys take aggressive Houston France the season they had You know they just came up short they know they know what holes that you need to fix. You need to fix you'd back in you fix your off the line and we'll see you look like next year and you're gonNA conference where I mean. Obviously I guess Tennessee's because just every year with the colts and and and who who's who's the I forgot who the other team is. I just shows you how remain raise every year so but yeah and like I say caves looks like one of the most dominant teams I think in the NFL because remember they scorn bunches. Never forget last year New England both games they only scored nine points in in the first half and they ended the game with like forty forty five so they could score budgets because ability demons song and now we got to see what exactly what does what does Derrick Henry have left in the tank for this game because they played last time they played in the regular season and the Tennessee lost by three points and this was when they weren't at the I don't feel like they're playing the best football with airplane pretty good and I just don't if Chris Jones isn't able to play oh man he's easily because because I mean you don't they're going to do during the running everybody knows what he's GonNa do that does run it and play action. There's no you this is like why it's so frightening to wash there. Can we do what he does. We know what they're going to do. We know what the Tennessee offense is. Predicated on is just kidding. If you can't stop it with an eight-man box everybody pressed up at the line. What the Patriots did better defense than the chiefs are? What are you supposed to do in my i? I don't really see the cheese being able to stop this like any other defense. Hasn't been able to stop this this. They've taken out two of the better defensive teams in. AFC in the chiefs have gotten better. But let's let's not pretend that the teams don't have a problem stopping the run game when it's when they're really good at it. That's not something that the chiefs are a really good at doing a have been all season long and they've really improved in their passing. Defense but rushing. Defense is still an issue especially with no Chris Jones with Chris. Jones doesn't play. Oh boy what's there's going to be like a bedding line of where they're not he's going for one one eighty again. That's like over on your one eighty. I can't can't see that any other way and there's going to be interesting. Because if he can control the clock by he I mean Derrick Henry control the clock and keep Patrick mahomes off the field and in four point. Top of that that is going going to tighten super bowl. Would I be able to be the most unexpected thing I've ever seen. The whole state of Tennessee. Go Watch. Yeah they will be like. Yeah Saturday Tennessee. Titans maybe going right next to the job mirant posted they say yeah. We're coming up this year. You know how the Photoshop Lamar Jackson and a riding rich on those those prominent African American yeah. Yeah Yeah Yeah. Yeah they're going to replace Lamar Derrick Henry of the. Oh Yeah. "Star experience starts being exactly glad that so you WanNa tell them what it's about is actually there's a a massive scale episode on Airbnb re toughness thing so he talks about how in the beginning with AIRBNB which is also why C company they wanted to focus on how do we give our users in eleven star experience and so we did the same thing so we in the beginning it was it was cool. It was helpful we got good feedback but as as we kept getting more and more feedback now like we consistently get really high stars and so we wanted to give them an eleven star experience so now that we've done that we wanted the same thing on the boot who campsite and really build this two sided experience so that the boot camp see not just the value in someone gets enrolled but all the things that are happening beforehand Dan all the value they're getting all the insight that they could be having to to manage their funds to help with retention to help with outcomes to save money save time and releasing appraisers Azzam and we're getting and we all growing together because at the end of the day like this future work thing this workforce development is the economic issue of our times when you cannot solve problems without people in talent and so we feel very strongly and passionately about this and so my time is over the next three months or the next few months it's going to be really focused focus on <hes> making sure that hoops have that type of type of experience as well. When I was in college? I was always looking for people to start side projects with. I couldn't find anybody so I I ended up working on projects by myself and then when I started working in the software industry I started to look for people who I could start a business with and once again. I couldn't find anyone so I started a business myself and that's the podcast you're listening to but since then then I've found people to work with on my hobbies and in my businesses and working with other people is much more rewarding within working alone. That's why I started find collapse. Find collapses a place to find collaborators and build projects on find collapse dot com you can create new projects or join projects that are already going. "We are all all three of US pretty familiar with the burgeoning ed software media landscape or software media technology media landscape. Give me your perspective on the software media landscape as somebody as to people who and also teamer who cannot be with us today you guys you've built a podcast and you kind of leveraged your different media channels into your business so I think you built distribution Russian before you built the product that you were building distribution force. You deeply understand the district. The importance of the distribution channel describe the software for media landscape as you see it today I will give my perspective I think before giving my perspective about the media landscape I think you know when you think about big billion dollar companies. There is no billion dollar tech business that has documented their story from the beginning to end all right so so we have actually been documenting our story from the beginning and we'll continue documenting our story throughout in elevating the people that are users incur Karma and the reason why we do that is it also also kind of hold ourselves accountable when somebody tweets saying that I'm going to become a software engineer this year you Kinda like are putting that energy out into the universe and it's kind like pushing you in that direction and you know I think that <hes> if you look at media before software took over it was controlled controlled by a few players right the T._v.. Stations the radio stations whoever is in charge of the media companies what software has done is created citizen is in journalism where was actually happening on the ground can be verified versus what's being said on the television which is good but at the same time on on the flip side because there's so many people that are tweeting on social media or talking on social media you can get proven guilty when you're innocent and you can get get proven innocent when you're guilty right because it's hard to verify facts if U._C._l._A.. Re tweet through a lot of likes that actually becomes justification defecation of truth and that's a problem so it's good to have the voice of people on the ground but at the same time we gotta be there's a silver silver lining so you've got to watch out for both what we've realized when it comes to people's whose intentions are good wanting to solve problems they do they allocate a lot OUGHTA dollars lottery resources a lot of focus talks a lot of events towards solving homelessness or food or health whatever but very rarely do who the actually have the individual that they're trying to support in the room which is crazy to me. I'll tell you my perspective because if you think about technologists you're supposed to be talking to users users right and so for us is very important for the worker voice or whoever's problem that you want to solve to be in the room and I think media allows us to not just talk about them but give them a platform because a lot of these individuals even when they do become successful they have to deal the barriers eight years of entry to get oppress journalist to cover them and things like that so what we do with breaking startups and career Commas we established career contributor relationships with major publications so we don't just write stories about ourselves the other people that want to write their stories they can amplify their voice through our media network and you and I we taught during the pre chat about the power of networks right so you have a fantastic podcast we started a pack as other people have podcast in our niche and yet we're different but we're similar kind of like the avengers right. There's like everybody has like so if we come together. There's a lot of power in that because us if I know that your community is strongest representing people's voices and my community strong representing people's voices together the iron man you could be ironman of cool with that. I'm I'm cool with that you know and so that's essentially how I think media. How do you think about me I mean I don't really have any strong macro views but I do? I go rubens nick sentiment nowadays a lot of people kind of they're kind of fall into the hustle porn like mentality like these people on instagram working hard or people people tweeting about how hard they work even know why you tweeting. If you're working hard it's oxymoron behavior on instagram and working hard. I think that is an oxymoron but I think the same thing with twitter too if you're putting out these threads on advice to entrepreneurs or venture capitalists all that stuff like y you on twitter shooting helping founders or building your company so I think that's kind of like I think we look to take advice from people because it sounds good. The sound buys ah resonate with us but in terms of actual impact on our life we don't question that I think I wish more people did that but what I'm really like bullish and optimistic on as kind of would Ruben Timour and I did we started documenting our journey. I think documenting versus creating is been the biggest shift and I would attribute most of our success access to documenting a journey because a lot of people get obsessed with like I'm going to create this amazing five minute video and I'm GonNa put it out. There and I'm GonNa get a thousands thousands of us the next day and we all know that doesn't work and what we did. We're just we're GONNA feature people that we find interesting. We're going to document their stories. During the same process we're going to be fully transparent about our thoughts. Our actions who started like recording our journey starting with a podcast you could actually see like snapchat instagram stories from maybe twenty fifteen or sixteen just when we were starting out we documented the whole Y.. combinator journey actually she getting rejected from Y combinator in April and then getting accepted again in December and so we're being fully transparent with people because hey you could be fascinated with elon musk but Komo like to be realistic. You know 'cause like just completely out there. We want to show folks that hey we were just regular. People like you who worked really hard and we weren't undoing because we wanted to impress someone with our abilities. We were just saying hey we're not special. We're not different than you are but look. There's all these opportunities for taking the dollar bill. There's milliard bills on the sidewalks. We've been picking it up. y'All should be doing the same thing and that's yeah. That's how we've been doing it and similar to that like everything about the media landscape right a lot of people they WANNA be superstars. COULD THEY WANNA be famous. They want to make a lot of money right but we started podcasts or a youtube channel or whatever just to be famous. That's not going to be what's going to allow you to pick up the million dollar. Check on Siwa. You gotta figure out like what's is unique about you. What we are all like iron man has a superpower? All these people have different superstars storm has power over rain. Everybody has different superstars and so like I figure out what your niche is that you're going to cover that you're going to support but also realize that once you pick a niche you can learn a lot of things that you know so through through our podcast when we don't know things we interview other people that know more about it than us and through interviewing them we learn we get an education but our listeners listeners also get an education I think super super powerful and super super valuable because if you think about who actually has the power and who actually like a lot the people think of some money the people that have the power are the people have attention right having attention of certain audiences demand different types of dollar mouse. If you want a dollar just like what people think it's a rapid says representation of value to whoever's giving you that money right so as you're thinking about the community in the niche that that you're focused on my if you pick something that's unique to you that only five people are going to listen to then. Maybe you're not gonNA have a big market there but if you think about like all these people that that are trying to find a job and don't know where to go this out of college that need a niche in like don't have the money for need to figure all these different things. That's probably a big market so like talk about it and there's literally like millions and millions of ideas like this don't worry if people think is weird. Everything is insane until it becomes obvious so guys thanks for the show aspects.

"That's there's a consequence to to these two decisions and that is it takes longer to make games because games were getting more complex you're no longer in an era where one or two people could launch a triple a title game you had avid a group of people working on it the games were so much more complex that it was taking groups of experienced programmers longer to make games especially by restricting the size of the development team so if you keep the development team the same while the games get more and more complex guess what it means everything takes longer to produce when it software announced in two thousand that their next game was going to be doomed three they didn't have an idea the time nor did the fans that would take more than three years for that game to come out which meant that when it finally did launch in two thousand four there had been five years between games from ed software quake three arena in nineteen ninety nine did doom three and two thousand four yikes while working on the game is software did something that they had not done before they began to license out their actual game intellectual property to other game studios not apathy meal that's who they used to work with but the other game studios general so they allowed other developers to create games in franchises that they had themselves designed to the first of those was return to castle wolfenstein which was developed by gray matter interactive unnerved software.
