"The court in my view Thank you Thank you mister president All right you've been listening to President Biden wrapping up there at The White House talking about a lot and lucky for us we've got our own Bloomberg sound on host Joe Matthew covering all things from Washington including the president and those comments from our 99 one studio in D.C. Let's get to it What jumped out for you Well look this was supposed to be an event about the budget We talked about unrealized gains all day again Knowing that everyone had one thing they wanted to talk about and the minute he turned it over to questions They wanted to hear about Chris Rock and Will Smith That's correct He's kidding Finally to the Oscars They told us about halfway through the morning Hey he's going to take questions Which normally they don't say So they're going out of their way to do that and he walks in with a list like he did This was all choreographed in advance They didn't think the walk back I guess was strong enough over the weekend But how about it Joe Biden just told the world I'm not walking anything back And that by the way that could be well kind of The thing is yes he says I was expressing my outrage he shouldn't be able to remain in power but that doesn't mean the United States is on their way to take him out He says he was talking to the Russian people There were a lot of clarifying comments from that Absolutely Sure but I mean look he's called him a pariah He's called him a butcher It's called him a war criminal all in the last week Do you think that any of those three would equate to someone who deserves to run their own country So technically the president really didn't say anything new on Saturday night It's just the way he said it that got everyone freaked out Well speaking of freaked out it sounds like NATO allies and folks over in Europe are pretty freaked out But I do wonder is President Biden may be the fall guy for being tougher in this situation because it's easier for the U.S. to do so than European leaders Well look you're sounding a little more like some of those who think he said this on purpose that he planned to say it as opposed to ad libbing it It brings us back to the tear down this wall speech and I remember speaking with Ed Rollins Ronald Reagan's political adviser at the time was said it was in the speech the State Department wanted it out It was removed from the speech because it would be too incendiary for him to say that Ronald Reagan told Ed Rollins in the car I'm putting it back in And without it being in the script he set it up there of course And it became one of the most famous presidential speeches of all time I'm not suggesting that this will be but sometimes presidents like to give a little jab in the ribs when they're up there Yeah How do they comments like this and then also the focus on comments like this here in the U.S. how does that play internationally How does it potentially play in Russia Not great look As far as Russia goes that is kind of its own thing And if the president says he was speaking directly to the Russian people well I guess we'd have to ask them how they feel about this But we know that there was concern in Europe even Emmanuel Macron even said out loud This stuff by the way the butcher comment too does not help us when we sit down to talk about a ceasefire But on the other side of that coin are we sitting down with war criminals and should they be trusted in negotiations There are no answers to these questions So I can't help but feel too that the president was shaped by the last few days that he spent over in Europe How could it not be Well and he said that too you know he was like he's an emotional guy Drop him in the middle of a refugee camp for the day And have him look at the images that we're seeing coming out of the cities in Ukraine And yes absolutely It's actually almost amazing to me that he didn't say more than that I'll never forget when he came to Boston on the anniversary of the marathon Yelling out loud You own the finish like he likes doing that although it's interesting he whispered twice today He likes doing that too It's quite a range in this He does like the supreme right He really does for emphasis Strangely Then we all start whispering and say why are we whispering We do that on air 'cause it's attention It's true Well let's think big picture here We're more than a month into this conflict It's hard to believe that Russia's invasion of Ukraine happened more than a month ago It really is As the president wrapped up his European trip a lot of the focus of course has been on the comments the 9 words And of course we saw that from the press corps today But what else do we need to be watching in terms of progress here Well I think getting some of the aid that has you know we just went through an enormous amount of exercise here trying to get money and materials to Ukraine We need to get it through the pipe now There's a lot of stuff between the U.S. between Europe and Ukraine that needs to be delivered and it will probably go a long way to helping Ukraine kind of figure out where it's going here and whether this is in fact going to be a long-term standoff because this is incredibly deadly what's going on right now They did double down on their ask for fighter jets Maybe that's something that gets loosened up although The Pentagon doesn't seem to think so The Russians.

"Right great Jared good stuff All right let's do a macro minute here at 1102 Wall Street time We can do that with Katie greifeld markets reporter for Bloomberg when he got Katie Again this is loosely macro I'm gonna talk to you about exchange traded notes because there was a fascinating announcement from Barclays today The bank said that it's launched more than 15 billion more notes over the course of about a year than it had registered for And it didn't explicitly mention two ETNs but on March 14th we had seen in S&P 500 vix short term futures ETN and a crude oil ETN basically halt And so you tie that back together and it starts to make a lot more sense about what's going on and because of this Barclays is expecting to take a hit of nearly $600 million which is just amazing but what's more amazing to me is that this vix note in particular ticker vxx it's still trading in secondary markets It's trading at a nearly 24% premium to its net asset value right now And it just goes to show that strength treated notes they're not ETFs and you can see weird things like this happen Who buys exchange traded notes Is that a retail product So it's not supposed to be a retail product but retail traders do buy it and it's very risky Yeah I was going to say people who don't read Eric belt units as research Has a red light in the Bloomberg intelligence traffic I know to stop them Eric has taught me well there It does have a red light Why are you so focused on ETFs On ETFs Yeah Well part of the reason I love them The second part of the reason is that we anchor a great show together We co anchor an ETF focused show Really Yeah Every Monday at 1 p.m. Okay that would be on Bloomberg television On Bloomberg TV but also on Bloomberg dot com As I was hitchhiking with Bill this weekend Okay Bill is the home improvement guy who picked me up Thank you Goodness On the side of the 22 Yeah yeah He said what do you do And I told him you know where I work and Stephanie said I would watch you but I don't have cable Wow And I said Bill Bill No one has cable Come on man You can just watch on Bloomberg dot com And you can watch Katie's quick take show on Bloomberg dot com as well You can Yeah Bloomberg dot com slash QT slash live coming up at 12 p.m. With mister Tim Steiner is that Tim stenson All right very good Thank you so much We appreciate that All right I need to get down to Joe Matthew He's down in Washington D.C. for Bloomberg news he's on Washington correspondent and host of Bloomberg sound on You can get that weekdays 5 p.m. Wall Street time Joe did a president mean to say regime change in Russia Great question Now that we've had a couple of days to think about this I just keep going back to the tear down this wall speech Because it was famously not in the speech I remember talking to Ed Rollins about this who was president Reagan's political adviser at the time he was in the car with him on the way to that address The State Department had pulled that line out because they thought it would be too inflammatory Ronald Reagan got up the podium he put it back in as you heard Sure Now realizing this was good But was Joe Biden thinking about that It was that type of thing on his mind we knew and we talked about this together last week before he went to visit the refugee camp that he's an emotional guys frequently driven by what he sees and it was only hours earlier that he was dealing with this in Warsaw meeting with refugees holding babies in his own arms the day after he shared pizza with the troops and he just decided to go for it I'm pretty actually pretty interested to see the cleanup act that continues now two days later Vladimir Putin I suspect wouldn't have had to clean up what he was saying here but this is a White House that's deeply concerned about escalating this war So here we are You can't also forget I feel like every one who's talked about this kind of dismisses the fact that he called Putin a butcher Earlier And so you can't say we're not calling for regime change We're perfectly happy that there's a butcher running Russia right I think it's more about who's going to do it right As he said no I'm not we are not the ones who are forwarding regime change That's up to the Russian people But yes to your point you call them a pariah You call them a butcher and you called him a war criminal Those are three disqualifying that's kind of clear where we are on this But that's also curious to me why as Donald Trump is using F words at the podium at a rally on Saturday night why this became such a major story I thought Trump didn't swear Oh I've got the video for you my friend Wow I thought big old tea totaler and didn't in any case you know this I love the way this Biden story goes up against Stephanie baker's piece on Mikhail Friedman the Russian billionaire the Russian oligarch who's been hit so hard with sanctions The idea that he.

"Term also on smackdown on friday. Becky lynch and bianca belair their contract citing going gonna be a wrestling each other. And they're going with it. Rich bianca's baby face becky as a heel. It seems genuinely becky is is in on this. She's not not questioning the booking. She's enthusiastically trying to make happen. The crowd reaction. She wants to happen. And what was it big shot backs. Is that what she called herself. Yes yeah it's not just that phrase. But the way she said and her demeanor and her arrogance self-satisfied swagger There's i think she might pull this off and it won't work. If uncle belair wasn't stepping up her game as a baby face in finding. I think that sweet spot to stand opposite of becky and turn even becky fans against becky in favor of her. I thought last week was a big win for both of them. Oh gotta make sure i'm corrected. It's big time. Beck's that makes most. Yes that sounds right thank you. What are they getting that. Yep yup and yet you're right. I think the the the bianca promos since she's really built yourself back up in the one thing again and it goes back. I think folks have to think about it this way or i shouldn't say that many times folks need to consider the fact that a lot of these wrestlers in this generation of wrestling are for each other as much as they are developing their character and getting to the top so with a person like becky lynch working with similar bailey before her injury. In talking to steve austin and being okay with being selfish but at the same time trying to help out your fellow woman. Becky isn't going to go in the back. And if there's a piece of information any next time cut me off here instead of here. She's not going to retain that information and not tell bianca for the sole purpose of keeping her spot. She is going to want to be the best beyond that she could be. Because that makes becky mbeki in expecting more money and so yeah but having said that bianca needed to step up to the plate next swing. And she's doing that and you can see it in her body language when they interview. You can see that she's going away slowly. I don't know if it's direction from producing or if it's her asserting yourself from doing the typical body language when they talk next the hard camera you have to frame your body near the camera as opposed to talking to the human being in front of you and by having those conversations in the confrontations. It's making it more palpable as opposed gesture traditional a. We're gonna take turns talking beller air as a pillar of wwe. I've been going up and down on since she was called franklin back to annex t days. I'm higher on that possibility today than i was. Then i have been at any time. Like an and i think what you just said about. Becky helping her being someone who can help bring her along is really valuable. She's not going to get that from every top woman and wwe right now But i think belair is going to get it from becky And that's going to help her in. I don't know if there's a perfect analogy of you know someone who already made it to the top like becky has although not for a super sustained period of time being a huge difference maker. She's still got something to prove. She's not downshifting into legend status. Lynn leaning back in her chair. I mean she's still got something to prove to but the two of them together. I think more than you charlotte or ripley. Or anyone. Else for that matter into they. Be the to kind of generational opposites. I thought i'm not ruling out. Ripley becomes the belair top rival but for now because becky is back and she does have a lot to prove. That has taken over for what i wrote about leading into wrestlemania as a possibility. Yeah and as they build to it. It's gonna be a really interesting thing to say because by that point you're gonna clearly have bailey back and so what did bailey do. Where does she move in those circles. And i'm assuming because of the the the draft than all the other stuff they gotta do to even out the network appeasement. There's gonna be some changes to whom whomever's on smackdown and raw currently so. Yeah i keep those do on there or honestly let the chase. Keep going to october in separate them and make it a reverse becky's chasing after charlotte leading the wrestlemainia with rhonda. I think that would be a really good thing for her. And the only thing. The only caveat i would have is for love. God don't put her with charlotte. That's that's the mission. She's not ready to take right now. Because received re rea- ripley's got a fractured carcass. After and i don't think bianca need another step back. No and i mean. I hate to say it but i just i don't think charlotte from what i'm hearing is in a position to be particularly generous or helpful to young talent. That's unfortunately not her kurt reputation and i think that you know it's damage could be done in a way that that i think belair is worth protecting from. But i don't know yeah that's a whole other. That's a whole other situation that having to deal with right now behind the scenes. But let's let's ed rollins also on super smackdown tomorrow night a big match that they're bringing back. I think they did a nice job. Reheating it i like seth imitating emulating edges. Move in in sort of a creepy. What's he up to. Scenario and edge continues to intense notes. It's a little polarizing in terms how people feel about edge jensen thing they're both kind of polarizing figures in terms of how people feel that they're doing us performers but i think it's a good kind of saturday nights main event type formula from the eighties. Where you give it away on network television the match that his near the end but you think you can get one more rating out of it. And i think they've done a good job doing that. I guess they can carried onto extreme rules if they want but eventually they're going to go their separate ways. Yeah i i like the stalker. Ish fact set and the best thing that happened to. Seth was edge coming back for this run because he got rid of the cult leader stuff but now he's found a flow is just being creepy And not just frustrating. And the other thing with john morrison being johnny drip drip. God help me. Getting rid of the The drip part of his persona. 'cause if i heard that one more time i was gonna pull what little hair i have my head out because it's just If there's one thing that we can do is over use a word. They have those list of words. You can't use. But then when you use my god you're going to swing that hammer as many times. As need an extra of positivity in your wrestling podcasts. we'll come join me out for over..

"And yet they are. The biden administration has problems beyond f. Gives you the problem for the bite. Administration is that we've crossed over into competencies and so afghanistan is now kind of defining everything else. Afghanistan itself is setting the tone for the rest of the by administration they did not competently withdraw from afghanistan. They did not competently withdrawal or deal with the virus they have not competently dealt with the budget situation. Not competently really dealt with anything lately and it's having spillover effects on joe biden Significant negative effects on his administration. And here's the thing. The midterms are coming. The midterms are coming and because the midterms are coming the democrats should be starting to disagree with joe biden back in nineteen ninety george h w bush president of the united states. He got elected in nineteen thousand. Nine hundred eighty eight with very famous line at the one thousand nine hundred eighty eight republican convention read my lips no new taxes and then at the end of nineteen eighty nine. George h w bush raised taxes. Ed rollins joe. The pollster ed rollins pretty famous guy at rollins. Ed rollins at the time was the executive director of the national republican committee. The in our cc. Ed rollins middle out to the republicans. The house representatives. You've got to fight your president. You have got to fight your side. You must fight george. H w bush. You was vocally. Condemned this if you want to win. And here's the thing that happened. The republicans who condemned george h w bush won reelection in one thousand nine hundred ninety the republicans who stood shoulder to shoulder with him and definitive. They lost as we head into the midterm elections if the democrats want to preserve any semblance of power in washington. Dc they better stand up to their own guy because they're not and it's going to have a spillover effect down. Ballot is gonna have a spillover effect on them this historic the nine hundred ninety. The republicans ran against the incumbent. Republican president george h w bush and they were able to mitigate their losses. The party of the white house tends to lose. They lost but they mitigated damage. The ones who are most vocal against him were the ones who held onto power. The democrats should probably remember that. It's going to be interesting to see if some of the swing state. Democrats suing district. Democrats stand up to him. Some of our but not a whole lot of them. We'll see where it goes. Y'all before i get a commercial break. I gotta introduce you to a new product that i've been using and i really like. It is innovative in that. It's quiet and that it's heater and it's it's air. "Just let's go to smackdown for last friday. The final hype for summer slam. What it's still crazy. How much has happened last. Like eight days of wrestling so We had in An edge promo at the start to build up his match with seth any thoughts on that thought. It was fantastic. I thought it was so much more effective than what they've been doing with ed rollins in terms of hammering home the importance of the match and i thought it was one of the best Today pros longtime edges Which is very good on the mike when when he's called to to do so then ramos stereo j. lucille one-on-one j. wentz twelve minutes They they seemed to not do a lot with With rain dominic Call saddam's trying to help his dad but it just didn't work out tonight and so there were still laying the groundwork for something and i thought somebody would happen at summer slam to pay that often. It felt like between friday and saturday not sunday. Mvp a they either dimple the trigger. Never planned to what so. I'm still not quite sure what to make. Out of out of the dominant stuff. I didn't sense that they were about to pull the trigger. I think it's sort of a longer story. I mean these are after all a father and a son like you would. You would expect more than just a over interference on smackdown to caused the break-up of a father and a son so hopefully they'll have more excuse when that happens The metro sign a long line of matches during the two teams With the story being trying to cheat and then getting caught and right loosen the not. Kevin owens barron corbin. Corbin wins by d. Q in three minutes mcafee said there is a six foot six trash bag on the run with something. He doesn't own and Big was upset that his money. The bank got stolen anyway. Any thoughts on all that short mash bad. Finish a killer. Braxton interviewed then champion. Bianca beller any thoughts on that. I thought it was good. Good good shirt followed by bianca. By the way you know after the after summer sam. You'd asked me where they're going to head next laid out to potential scenario one with bianca going keel and funeral with becky and the other with bianca and becky both being facing sasha a he'll and i didn't even the idea that back you would be turning Just because it's such an obviously stupid idea trying to turn the most popular restaurant the entire company after she were transferred giving birth. Look even if it was back idea. They should have just said no. That's about idea. Sorry becky lord knows the teller. No-one enough things as it is Biggest boy as far as scenarios that are dangerous for bianca like trying to have her feud with becky his back supposed to be turning heel is not a good spot for bianca. Bel air so we'll see how this turns out with five days to reflect on it is this. Is there something opt from an optics standpoint or even beyond just optics about having bianca lose that way as an african american woman in in bringing back memories of how listener treated kofi and some other situations regarding triple eight. Yeah yeah and some others that. I don't think coco viewer and rick. Martel story angry about that. I mean is that something they should have at least been cognizant of do you think they were and they relished in in in there just waiting for opportunities to to pull the rug out from under minorities who they have invested heavily in for months like. I don't say that mockingly. I mean it sounds mocking case by case. But yeah your thoughts on it. Five days later the optics and the reality of it. My my mind is not changed. I think it was a very silly thing to do. And i i don't think it militias. I think there's just you know like that's how vince doesn't a lot of things. There are very few people that he views a stars. In order for someone to start they generally have to stop for a long period of time and when he gets one of these people that he considers a star because there are so few of them. He's very quick to just have them run over anybody else that he's been building up that he doesn't think of as a star and you. That's what i did there. Which is part of the reason. He has a few stars. So if that was totally storm in bianca place who got the winner wrestlemainia and becky came back. Same decisions made and for the same reasons. Of course. I mean the question would be whether he would care more in the place of well. I guess you could say well. The argument would be that he would give more of a chance to a white star. But i don't think so you know. I don't think he thinks along along those lines. I think I think it's harder for people to become a star. Depending upon the way they look and vincent lands Mindset because he has sort of very narrow a narrow focus in that regard but You know i i don't. I don't think necessarily that that tony song would have been any more likely to be perceived that way. Yeah yup natalia versus shots antiguan on italian tomato. One this one. No no shots your thoughts on that time when you watched it to be you just kind of accept that there's little long term planning direction but this feels like it's being booked by someone like find out amnesia where we've now seen shots antiguan beaten italian to meena in three different non title matches which lasted two minutes and fifty eight seconds three minutes and fourteen seconds and three minutes and twenty seconds respectively. I mean what is happening here. How i mean how does this. How do you not have quality. Control like wired the challenges. Be the champions in the exact same time over and over and over again like what is happening. I hope that's rhetorical. Because i don't know they're filling tv time. Todd i'm trying to get to summer. Slamming they they do not have another way that they meaning vince. Mcmahon don't have another way to do things that they're that they're in the groove undoing in it results in this. Here's my answer to rhetorical all right. So remember to Seth mocked edges promo from earlier. your thoughts on performance here. I thought he was fine. The segment was just a backdrop for the edge dropping liquid on rollins which i thought was on the side but at least it did fit into volunteering. All these unique suits. She'll wearing a bunch of unique suit. Something bad should happen. The suits so that did happen In the context of professional. Okay if you know in everyday life you see someone in an unusual suit. We need to find some sort of liquid to to dump on them. It's tempting though. yeah. I think so. Yeah all right mattis for notice. Otis wins in in three minutes thoughts. Continue to put us in this time over mont us and we'll see if anything comes up but You know they've been doing it for a little while. Yeah shinsegei nakimora rick boobs against cruise and keys boobs and not worry when this one and four minutes and mcafee is very excited seems i. It seems like They're they're the cruises run getting a push on. Tv is coming coming to an end but sometimes you can draw too many conclusions from the way that would be kinda flippantly books and things your take on that. Yeah i mean. I definitely think it's possible to draw two conclusions but that was certainly the conclusion either. So you know. Yeah they They seem to be flagging pretty clearly with boobs. Who you know has been presented at this point. It's not even really even being wrestler Beating apollo mini after nakimora. It felt like they were flagging. Fans that they d- pushing apollo crews bianca. Bel air zilina. Vega your ereck susan carmella. Yeah got i had a typo here too..

"Lot of meetings. He knows how all this stuff works. Let's see if we can figure it out. Ed Rollins, how you doing? I'm doing very well. Thank you. So let's say you were going to leave Afghanistan. I would think. Get all the civilians out first. Have the military leave last. How does it get botched up? What happens in the room? Don't these general even even Well, Even Jim Jones, who is the national Security advisor, General Jones under President Barack Obama, who said this is very painful to watch. Uh he said we normally do is we get the civilians and families out. Then you get the U. S government personnel that's required the last people reviews generally, the military Providing the security if they want the evacuation. We did this just the opposite. Those are his words. I totally agree with them. The bottom line with Biden is buying has always thought he's the smartest guy in the world as it hasn't ever been. He he talked about on the campaign of creating a foreign policy for the middle class. The greater focus on how actions of bridal effective records at home that is not with foreign policies. Foreign policies text the United States' interest protect us domestically. This was a complicated issue that he's reversed a lot of what what Trump did. He's had six months to prepare for this, uh, we knew. Certainly he always talked about getting out of there. So you'd think it had a plan. There's no plan. The first thing he did is he cut off the electricity for the biggest air base there. Without warning, the Afghan army and the commander who's coming in there they were leaving. We're cutting and running. Uh, you know, it's it's sort of. And the one thing the United States can do very well as we can get. We can start wars. We just can't end. The lessons are don't go anywhere without a plan to get home safely. And he clearly doesn't didn't have that. So you know, he can blame it on Trump. You can blame it on anybody who wants to blame it on. But the bottom line is this is his responsibility. This is his military. This is his government today, and and he's always had this policy of on the smartest got I can walk in, and I'm such a big personality. I can deal with anybody. Well, obviously you can't and this is a disaster and the long term consequences to this both among our allies and ask the American people. So our enemies China, Russia, Iran watching this, uh, seeing this kind of weakness, seeing this kind of inept military leaders, What are they going to do? Are they going to try to do something? That judgment will be the same as yours and mine, which is which were too weak. And don't forget Pakistan, the most unsafe country in the world that has basically been But a lot of these these terrorists survive there and an immediate neighborhood, so they're one of the biggest benefit. Plus we left them all the weapons. We left billions of dollars worth of weapons. Uh, we didn't think about destroying, we can think about putting on the old air bases. And destroying them. There was no plan. We just basically, here's the keys. Here's the keys to the planes and tanks and what have you and we're gone. So I would say to you, Afghanistan is Extremely dangerous today, Uh, not just to the people that are going to be punished by having to have a relationship with us, but as as oral power We basically have shown that we're not oil power anymore. We've shown great weakness, and I went on a weak country with the best military in the world. We just don't look at pipe. Hey, Ed Rollins. You're an expert in optics in the White House, projecting the right image if you were there right now, I mean, what could the White House do now to clean up the image they have Well, I gotta get this thing done quick. I mean, First of all, the imagery has been terrible. I mean, bullet from I'm going to cut off my vacation to Delaware Beach and go to Camp David, and he sits around a conference table all by himself. Uh, for two days. Uh, you know, then, and that picture is like, okay, Okay. Was he listening to? He should've had his whole team there. Should have been listening. Uh, you know, my sense is he doesn't know what to do. He looks like a deer in the headlight and the people that he has around him the foreign policy arena, particularly the secretary of state, and what have you are people who have been his staffers forever, So it's not like they can walk in and say, Mr President, Look at this option. They know what he was What is about processes because they've helped him develop it over the years and I have to tell you blanket and others who on the shows this weekend. Looked like deers in the headlights. I mean, they just had no concept gave no confidence. Uh And so I think the search extent are are are are non allies that the world basically sees us as weak. Russia, Pakistan. China, uh, certainly have to be enhanced by this experience and certainly detrimental to us. And I think we've also damaged extraordinary military. Yeah, It's better if you have one dumb guy, but Millie Austin, Jake Sullivan blink and they all look like idiots. So what do you do? You can't fire all of them Kenya? No, but you can basically fire the president. You know, he may have to wait and they have to wait two or three years. Do it, But, uh, you know, and I think is dropping Polling numbers indicates that, uh He's not passing the big test and the more exposure he gets going on. Every time it was out there to say this is what we're going to do it. It's a different story, and it's not. It's not no well thought through. Getting pronounce the names of the people that he's he's going on. So I I think I think it's been as damaging any president. I've seen to that They have page to Kennedy and the Iran Contra to Reagan, huh? So, Yeah, it is. It is Vietnam. It is Vietnam all over again. I mean, it's the Saigon exit strategy, and it's and we still have. We still have the death squads and all the rest of it's going to come. It's it's like the story is not going to get better stories. Yeah. Carter looked pretty bad with those helicopters crashing in around. But it wasn't that year three of his presidency. This is in the first eight months. How could how do you keep going for three years? What could happen in three days to the oppression of this guy as a leader, which is obviously what you know. I mean, he got elected because it wasn't Trump and there was some defection among some former Trump supporters. At this point in time, as you see now and balls, Trump would beat them today. They made an election today again, Trump would beat him. But even more important, this President's on right You don't drop 8 10 points and then a week 10 days, plus everything he has ahead of him. He's got gigantic challenges ahead of on the Congress. He has his own infrastructure bill, which is okay. It's a trillion dollars its roots. But then he has Bernie Sanders, chairman of the Budget Committee, has $3.7 trillion social program. It's a social infrastructure. It's Clean air. It's all of us have stuff is so expensive and and certainly not proven that my Spence my sense is all he can do at this point time to spend money, spend my spend money we don't have, and I think, to a certain extent that does not project leadership. Well, that's pretty close to the important point. Ed Rollins runs Great America pac dot com, and what they're doing is trying to, uh, put the House the Senate back in the hands of Republicans in the midterms next year. So if you want to help its great America pac dot com, So what does all this mean? Will they will the Republicans take back the House and the Senate? Well, certainly we've we've gained immeasurably this week by the lack of the president's, uh, ability to lead so my senses was going to be very close to the Senate. The house we don't have any kind of making that happen. I would say today if the election again was next week, when, when both of them going away, I'm coming. This president can at this point in time. Convince the American public I've got the ideas I need to be the leader. I need the Congress to help me. Let me change subjects. Governor Cuomo is supposed to leave. We hope he does at midnight tonight. Does he have any political future?.

"House. In the East Atlantic beach right on the beach, and we had the house right next door to him on the beach and such a nice guy, You know, I go over there to invite me all would bring my acoustic guitar. We just sit around and play and sing and have some Cocktails and, you know total lot of stories. A lot of them one always hockey stories, but he was such a really nice guy. You see him walking to the neighborhood. He spoke to everybody all the time. Never had a bad thing to say about anybody else. Thanks for calling great stuff. Yeah, He was a great, uh, great guy. His wife, Judy, Uh, a wonderful wife. So this couple everybody in New York Love them. We lost Roger Bear suddenly over the weekend legendary Hall of Famer. Let's go to Dave in Tampa, Florida, Dave, how you doing? Yeah. Good morning Market stay from Tampa and New Jersey. Um, how about you throwing that end? New Jersey. Just say Tampa. It sounds better. It sounds nicer. Well, I agree with the last caller about Roger Beer. He was a great guy and a big loss for us. And I changing the subject back. Um, I normally totally agreed with Michael Goodwin and actually would do as well. But I disagreed today. I don't think Joe Biden made that decision to close background. I think he needs a strong drug cocktail to even stand on his feet for more than 15 minutes. In my opinion, I think Biden is in control of Quist dummy. And I know that supposedly, uh Obama runs the committee. But Obama is busy planning parties and looking for the right tent and what to have on the buffet at Martha. So he's not paying any attention. But you who do you blame the most the generals I blame whoever is advising Biden. I think the media should start asking Who has their arms up heightens but making his lips move because all right, that's a good question. Thanks for calling me out. Like I said, this, you forget this January six commission Somebody broke a window. 1000. People went through the hallways and it was a little trespassing incident the capital freely. There's nothing to investigate. Let's investigate this. Let's find out who made the stupid decisions. To leave the civilians have the military go first, and then later you go back and try to rescue the civilians instead of the civilians, leaving first, who made the decision to leave 600,000 weapons plus a full airbase sitting there for the Taliban to take Who made all these stupid decisions. Somebody's got to get to the bottom of this and these generals, that's the other problem. They all look so stupid. Blinken Lloyd, Austin, Millie Jake Sullivan. It looks so dumb, all of them that it protects each of them because the other three look just as bad. So you don't know who to fire. There's so many problems. Let's go to Chris in Manhattan. Chris, what's going on? Good morning mark. First of all I agree with the previous quarter. Who says that Biden is really not to blame for any of this because he has no idea what's going on. But there's two things I want to say. The first we can agree that Biden is on has benefited financially from both China and Russia in the past, no matter what happens. Who who benefits by closing our pipeline and opening up the Russians. Pipeline. It doesn't help anything environmentally. It just hurts. America makes us Oh, no, no, no, but obviously obviously it helps Russia. We were the We were totally independent energy was we didn't have to buy anything from Russia. We had this Biden decision close Our pipeline let Russia opened. There's a make of fortune obviously had something to do with his relationship with Russia. Remember Hunter Biden got a $3 million deposit in his bank account from the mayor of Moscow's family. I mean, the mayor of Moscow, your figure has got to be pretty plugged into the Russian government there. To Putin. So a $3 million deposit into hundreds bank account. Now we know from hunters, emails in which he admits All of this money is shared with Joe and the rest of the family. And it pays for all the jobs, stuff and everything so Joe participates in this $3 million. So and that's the one we found out about this $3 million deposit. Who knows what other uh, gratuities were paid to the Biden family? So that might answer that, and we know China made a massive payment. 100, Biden's company. It was it a billion dollars, something like that. To be spread around so You can corrupt we could live with usually a corrupt politicians. Not that stupid, but he's corrupt and the dumbest guy in the world and he's president. Ed Rollins is the dean of political commentators, and he served in a number of white houses. We'll talk to him next and ask him how the hell did this happen?.

"It's not impossible if you have a good candidate to go out and advocate uh And I think this particular election was about law and order as it should be. Uh And I think that, uh, Eric was very, very successful as a former police captain. Making that very much is, uh, his background drop were most progressive. Don't want and don't want to don't want to run on that. I wanted to fund the police and all the rest of those things. You can't have defending the police when people shooting up Times Square. People don't feel safe in the city, so Joe Biden, making that crime speech last week is that because they did a Democrats did their own studies and found out that defund the police has totally turned off the voters. Oh, absolutely, You know, it's it's you know, my sense is that is You know, it was not particularly effective speech because he's not very effective Speaker anymore. Um, but I think the reality is that all at all the rhetoric of two a year ago. You know, people want people want to fill seats. They don't want to go out. Worried about going to the parks worry about people being robbed in stores. Uh, you know this. This city is not the worst city but certainly a city that we've seen a big change in two years and four years and certainly it's got to be the number one priority and it's not. It's not fixed. You know you're going to have a kind of a short term mayor again. Uh, so my sense is that, uh, you know, obviously what White House does polling all the time, So they pretty much or Where the public isn't the public wants law and order again. Ed Rollins. Let me ask this. I watched a guy like Chuck Schumer. He's the biggest, most powerful figure in the Democratic Party. And he's trembling, terrified of this little AOC who's been there two seconds. Have you ever seen anything like that? Before with some little novice can scare these big giants up? Not really, You know, but I'll say this. She obviously endorsed runner up for the mayor. She endorsed the winning attorney just returning candidate she does have an organization where Schumer has historically has been a national figure does not have an organization in the back of his head. He keeps thinking someday she may run against me. Are made run for mayor or whatever. I don't think she'll be successful, and she can hold her district for as long as she wants. But the reality is that completely anywhere beyond that shockingly elected governors. We like to go, Senator. I don't think it's gonna be elected bear so, but she's She's a threat, and they they are They all run scared. And, uh, you know, Schumer just do his job is not very effective job at that. So I'd say we're out of time. But, uh, you want to get involved in 2024 take back the house. I mean 2020 to take back the house. The Senate Great America pac dot com. How's it? Look, We have a good chance of taking both. You know the bottom line. There's there's 10 Senate races that it doesn't matter. We have to win back the Arizona and the and the Georgia race. Uh, which we log school. You're down two year terms, because there, Phil Fillon's We won those two back. We're back in the majority, and we've got another Several little. We've got opportunities in the house. Where 56 seats, Uh, gain that we've basically been a majority. We're gonna pick a couple of my reapportionment. So yes, there's a tremendous opportunity for us to win the house and send it back. Well, if you want to help, Just go to Ed Rollins will make sure you get the right candidates. "How you doing? Mark. Are you exciting time? Very good. Yeah. Hey, we were just talking about the what they're doing in Georgia. These voting laws. Now the Democrats trying to sue them, arrest them for these voting laws. At the time when Georgia seemed pretty standard, What's the problem? They are standard. You know, the reality is there's a lot of overreaction from the election. Uh, you know, the critical thing here is everybody has to be equally eligible. Uh, if you're 18 you know the idea that you have to show some kind of evidence that proves that you're Who you say you are is not is not outrageous. Many states said that absentee ballots obviously played a very critical role was the last election. I think it will continue to do so early voting will play another critical role, and I think just certain extent, it's just it's a question of you know, a lot of it was reaction to the virus a lot of reaction to them. To what occurred in the last election. I think people and these legislatures want to want to set the rules very straight and very critical. Uh, because obviously, you know, we've had two back to back presidential elections, which Trump won by 71,000 votes in three states to give him the presidency. He lost the second election by 41,000 votes. So you know the reality is those those you're close when you're talking about hundreds of millions of people. Yeah. Listen, obviously I can understand absentee ballots. You're in the military, you're overseas. But is this a good idea to have these mail in ballots for anybody wants him and have weeks of voting. That doesn't sound right. Does it? No, it doesn't. You know the reality is that you should should have an excuse. Why not to be able to vote? I would hate to see us get to a point where no one wants to go on the election day because election days are very critical. And it's been so much a part of our democracy. But I think the key thing here is that people like the convenience of the absentee ballot. And, uh, you know, certainly a temptation from mischief. I'm not arguing that there's a lot of mystic last time. Certainly, accusations of some But the reality here is you need to have and the law is simple enough that everybody can understand them and everybody. We have a fair chance to Pope. Yeah. Hey, Ed Rollins, your your absolute expert on voting. Do you understand this ranked choice voting? Nobody. So I think it's I think the most absurd thing of all, uh, you know the reality. Don't go vote for the person you want to be mayor, and that's your choice. Uh, And the fact that someone who came in second or third or whatever, Uh and if they don't get historically, if they don't get 50% your run off of the top two candidates go off the second round. Uh, I think progressives would certainly choose that today. But the reality is the rank voting, which goes on for weeks. You imagine what would happen if we had a presidential election with Frank voting? Uh, you know, it's only two parties. But there could be three or four other candidates. Uh, that could create count, You know, chaos. You know, my sense is what we want to do is want to get to a point where we have an election day when the election day is complete. We know very quickly who the who The winners are and this thing is going on. Only the Lord doesn't long going to go on. And then you have. The city has one rules, and the state has another rule. So you're going to have to district Attorney and you know that quicker than you know who the mayor is. So, uh, I know you think back to the seventies. Without computers. They had the election results at nine o'clock that night, 10 o'clock at night. How was that done with all those millions of voting? Well, you know, I'm an old man, and I grew up. I grew up in the old days. Computers and what have you and you know, in yellow pads, he went out to that knocked on doors. You know who your voters were, and you turn them out on election day. And you know who voted and you counted votes. Uh, Quickly and accurately, and, uh, you know, now we have too many, too many other elements of the modern society ins. It's not making things easier as I'm making things simpler, and it's not certainly making people believe more confident. So Uh, the biggest tragedy of this election, I think is again It was a very close election by the likelihood of the next presidential election. Probably close again is you've had such an undercutting Of the of the integrity of the election that you know. A substantial portion of Republicans think that Trump won Accurately or inaccurately my senses. Trump did not win, but it was close. But people don't have confidence in the voting system anymore, so the longer it takes to count more accurate and accurate. The projections are and plus you have too many polls. You have all these polls have certainly turned out to be two elections in a role inaccurate, ever poll today that's got young Giuliani leading You know Two other significant candidates. Uh, no tourists. No one knows with that polls accurate and not my sense of looking at it. It's not and certainly could be confusion with his father. But you know, it gets out there gets a big story creates confusion makes people think the process last Yeah. Ed Rollins. They always say Republican can't win in New York City Republican can't win in New York State, but it's really all about turnout. What does that mean? Turnout? What do you have to do? If you're a candidate to get turn out? What do you actually have to do? We have to make sure that your voters vote. The difficulty with New York is that, uh, this election There was a lot of the mayor's race. There's a lot of money spent on a television. Historically, television doesn't play a bigger role is kind of Who has the unions? Who is the organizations who can turn out their vote. Um and and you know the Republicans, obviously at number 7 to 1. So to say that the likelihood of Republicans not winning here we had a long siege in which we had Giuliani for eight years. We have done work for 12 years. So in the 20 year period where you had Republican mayors, uh Whatever. Bloomberg ended up being an independent to Republican. I guess the Democratic him successful, but you know, it's not..

Ed Rollins Trump 12 years New York State Giuliani 41,000 votes Mark eight years three Frank 50% Georgia Republican Democratic New York City Pope Democrats three states 71,000 votes second election

"How you doing? How are things exciting Time? Good. Yeah. Listen, you've seen every cycle every different thing. Come and go. But this is different, though. Something different is going on. We've seen the liberal president and Congress get two left. But this is like out of control. Left wing on steroids. Have you ever seen any period like this? A bit of a woman. I wasn't around Dong F d. R E was born. I was I was born when he was born when he was at the end of his term, But I often thought this was going to be Obama's third term. What it really is the fifth term of FDR. There's never been the spending Never the programs ever offered up by president like like President Biden Nest when you're talking about $6 Trillion and new spending. Uh, in which you basically even the infrastructure program, which obviously there's some sympathy for, uh, you need you need 16 years of projected revenue to pay for eight years of the program is just absurd. I mean, I think it's uh you know, I think we need some spending believe, certainly don't need anyone. You're the $6 Trillion, and I think that, in essence is rolling the dice. It's everything Bernie Sanders could want. There's not a single complaint from any AOC. You're Bernie Sanders or any of the most progressive players, so Biden is carrying the ball for them. You know, Usually the ventriloquist is a very shy guy. But when he talks through the dummy, he's bold, he says everything so you think this is Obama and this is what he kind of always wanted to do, but didn't have the dirt nerve to do it in his own name, so he's gonna do it through Biden. Well, I think the reality was a president Obama was a very skilled man in the sense of his oratory skills. He didn't like the combat, though he didn't like the political combat and When he ran into trouble. He basically kind of backed away from it was warm and intellectuals and, you know, talked about this favorite time every night was when he had finished with his day and go read for three or four hours in his library. President's Gotta be trench warfare, and Joe Biden has been transformed fair for a long time. But more important is the Obama team. The Obama experienced players. Better all in this administration. You know, his White house is stacked with him. Everybody who's in here, There's no There's no rookies in here. There's no you know what was unfortunate for President Trump. He had a lot of people who have never been around government before, either in his campaign or his presidency. This is a very experienced team may not have pushed the levers of Congress on they're doing that. And Buying two steps to get up there not not not stumble. Too bad and his rhetoric, But the agenda certainly is Obama or even more left doing that, and I think desert eccentric and have some success. Joe Manchin certainly is going to save us from some of it. But at the end of the day when it's 50 50, and all it takes is the vote of Harris Toe to send this stuff through. Uh, plus they're playing games with reconciliation. Uh, you know what they need normally 60 votes to get something the Senate, uh when its budget related, they could play the reconciliation games they already have. Legitimately. You're not supposed to alter that We'll see what the parliamentarian says. But my sense is there's some dramatic stuff coming. Fortunately, McConnell is going to stop much money as he can in the house or this very narrow margin isn't gonna stop much, but it's certainly consistent could have some impact. Yeah, So whenever you get the left wing president of Clinton Obama, they always lose the Congress after two years, and I know, Rush said this time, it's different. Something's different. What do you think? Is this different? Or I mean, I think people are gonna just rise up and rebel like crazy over this. I think they will. You know it. But at this point, you know, it's a couple of things going on. One is reapportionment takes place where they redraw the lines. It shouldn't give us someone of an advantage. We're dealing with 56 seats, which is what the margin is right today, huh? You shouldn't you know you should pick up 10 or 15 seats easily. In the in the House Republicans, But, you know, I think I spend the time in fighting and goes by the time you know, good defending the last election, as opposed to basically running against the agenda of Biden's than his liberals. You gonna confuse the message. Hey, But when you get these congressional seats moving, like New York has lost two seed Florida gains a seat. California lost his seat. Texas gains two seats doesn't that help the count there for Republicans? Uh, normally, it should it I've lived with reapportionment for 50 years, spends a California and got involved in a very young age get tricky. It should it should give us a few seats. We should have picked up for your four seat by the reapportionment process, just in the things that you talked about, But you never can tell what's gonna happen in New York, New York, We're gonna lose a seat. But that doesn't mean they can't shift other seats to make it more difficult for some of the Republicans. Uh, not that I predicted pick up here, but certainly there's a few that you could just a little bit here there and make a difference. Hey, you mentioned a go see whenever I hear a Schumer's terrified she's going to run against him for Senate. I know she wins her crazy little district in Queens. But AOC is she really that big? Could she really win? New York State upstate? All that kind of stuff? Can't you know I'm not in the bottom line is she could stay in that district pretty much for life. She might be able to be a future mayor, candidate candidate not necessary mayor But my my, my, my sense is she needs she needs to stay in that district. It'll get to be a better district for her. But if you try and have ambition and go beyond that, you know, we we watched a lot of great liberals in the state before who thought they could step up on the New York City and Liz Holtzman, uh, last, but a bunch of them in the old days. Uh, they don't do very well when you get outside the city. So these people like Schumer and Pelosi have been there forever. They're big and tough. Why are they so afraid of these left wing AOC types. Don't ask me, you know. I mean, I think I think Pelosi. I think this is very much a tomb of posies philosophy, and certainly she she wants to finish this term on DSI. I would not even be shocked at this point time. In spite of the fact she has said that she She will step down after this term. If she basically thinks that she can hold on, they win the majority back again. That's certainly she has a chance of running against, uh You know, they shouldn't be afraid. You know, Bottom line is they need to go do what they do. Uh, but they are liberal and you know that they're there now in the leadership positions, and this is the president. They wanted for a long time, and they're gonna try and push this agenda as far as they can't knowing full well That it's probably a year before they were the mist of the elections, and so they can't really get much done. So they've got to get it done this year and certainly the chances of the second part of this his first term. The Democrat controlled is not is not very great. So either now or never, and they've got to try and get it now. Well, hey, Ed Rollins. You Bronson Looks like Reagan got most of his agenda through on the first two years and after that was just a question of holding on. Yeah, but you were in some of the most successful campaigns ever. Let's see. We're here in New York City running the mayoral campaign and you got to appeal to all the left wing Democrats. Uh, if with a Republican, can't you just explain to them crime is up like 200%, your neighborhood. Your taxes are going crazy. You gotta vote for Republican. This time just to save your neighborhood Would cake is the only way to get that across. No. Yeah, I wish there was better. I think you need candidate. Uh, you know, John, Casting me just had talked about running again. If he did you, you're strong candidate. Uh, little stuff that he's done. His own resource is, you know the Republicans we have running and I take no offense, toe offer no offense to any Republican that wants to run. It is very, very hard to overcome. You know, we've got the screwed up. Not just a variety of candidates that nobody knows. At this point in time, we've got the stupid s ranking system which you can vote from 1 to 5. You've seen the new Schumer, the new Stringer commercial, where he's making breakfast for his kids. And help him put his tie and cardigan on Yeah, His wife helps him put his tie ties his tie for him. And then it shows how he walks the kid to the subway. Uh, kid is like a little kid. But you noticed that the same height. It's this kind of a weird commercial, and I don't know anybody thinks himself out. If he can make breakfast for his kids, he confront New York City That makes sense to me. Yeah, but look at this. But anyway, I confined in the cargo business. I don't know which pier 67 If it's down by South Street, you got the South Street Seaport that's filled with great restaurants. It's also a place where you could just walk around. It's so scenic and beautiful at the South Street Seaport. And for a guy like you, you sound a little cheap. I think you don't want to spend too much on this woman so you could just walk around with her insurance. But South Street Seaport is good. Van Gogh's He's getting back to normal. Uh And I appreciate your asking me. I know you're not gonna ask your wife where to take the girlfriend. But anyway, when we come back, Ed Rollins will be with us. Uh, can we take back Congress came it was the same part of the world Take back Congress. That's usually the case. Whenever there's one of these kind of crazy left wing presidents. "You know, the real problem with this past election was the mail in voting. It's really hard to keep track of all the so if they're gonna keep that mail in voting, and then you hear all these states that no longer requiring idea they're letting anybody register. I mean, that's Ah Ah problem. How you could ever win an election of all that goes on. Well, it's gonna be hard on the reality is the Democrats are much better compared forward. We were, but I don't think you're gonna see a whole going back to go stand in line on Election day and vote. I think the early votes we're gonna be a bigger part of the process. Now what you consider to do is make people show a driver's license. When they register. You can have some sort of a titan of the system. That state by state, and I think at this point in time, even though we control state legislatures, and also the states, people, people kind of like, uh, the early voting. Uh, most people don't think it was a fair election. And they may want to make some changes on that front. But at the end of the day here, we're not going back to Election day being the only way you're gonna vote again. Just not gonna happen, And I would expect is gonna get works. You're gonna end up like California you're registered to vote. You automatically given absolutely balance that makes it extremely difficult to make sure there is no voter fraud and it could extremely difficult to Republicans. Who have to get organized and will compete in that in that environment. Hey, Ed Rollins. You've been in so many white house. You know how this works. What's the deal with Kamala Harris? Are they trying to keep her quiet keeper from overshadowing the president? We don't see much of her. Well, she doesn't have you know what What Biden did is Biden had most of the Obama team or his own team that has been around and around. So Washington four decades. She did not have she had a Senate team, but it's a small team, and obviously they will use her at this point in time to go do the traditional things and vice presidents do. She'll certainly break the ties when they need them, which will be probably the biggest task, but she's certainly not going to run the show from the casino feature. That doesn't mean that the liberal Progressive Policies that she has won't be implemented by right Biden. Biden is not a modern advice is not a conservative vice is a liberal and the people he has around in lower level, They're really gonna get Obama's third term. Here and you're starting to see united. Yeah, if you're kind of a slow a little bit out of it sort of president. What happens in the White House who who's actually running day to day stuff? Well, Chief of staff and Iran plane is a very effective guy. You've been around a long time, and he has a team. That's who basically next. President really has to do for five things every day. A snake 45 big decisions after down, and what have you and everything else kind of feeds into it, And you know you build it, Bill. The White House around. The man is trying to get a And my sense is they know their strengths and none of his weaknesses. They know when he's rested that nobody needs to be on the trail. You know, he's got a lot more energy than most people have in his age. He certainly has. Has done much better in the last month, and he did the course of the campaign trail, but they know they know what their agenda is, and I know what they want to do. Hmm. Why It runs great talking. We're out of time. But anybody wants to help in the taking back the Senate taking back the house, Great America.

"Ed Rollins. How you doing? Morning Mark, are you doing? Good. Hey, that's Super Bowl. That performance by Tom Brady. Is that symbolic? Is that a forecast of what's gonna happen with Donald Trump in the impeachment this week? Brady is extraordinary athletes. And obviously I think any of us to watch the game of our long time. What symbol belong time. We're not surprised that he won, I think was surprised by the ease and the perfection. Hey, play as well as he did when he was a young man of 23 24. Now, 43. No one has ever been played football Couldn't position he plays as well as he had, uh, you think in terms of this career He's been in in a 20 year career. He's been intense Super Bowls he's won. Seven of them is one more Super Bowls than any other sports Pittsburgh in and, um Americans on their New England six when he has seven on in for most valuable player so extraordinary, everybody I'd like to be touched, Certainly in my lifetime. Yeah. But so what? I'm saying with Donald Trump in this, you know the impeachment looks like well, he may convict him. They don't have the votes to convict him. What's gonna happen when that fizzles out of what? So it's the last the last shot. Democrats who have Had attracted nationwide audience to sort of lay out their indictment against him one more time. We're all shocked and disappointed, obviously, by the by the insurrection of the capital. To try and prove that he did it. So he was responsible for it, as opposed to the crazies that basically broke into the building and we tried over the next year year and a half eyes absurd. I think a certain extent As we enter. This was starting tomorrow morning. We don't know what the rules were gonna be. The Democrats August to control control the Senate mother by their 50 50 tie and her breaking Vice president breaking and breaking the tie. But we have no idea how it's going to go there talking about four hours the first day to talk about what it's constitutionally not We had that vote a couple weeks ago and and, um, majority they think it's constitutional. But then you need you need 17 Republicans and only five to go to court. So I think at the end of the day, you'll have a you have a weeklong bash. Trump. You know the reminder of all the things that we call upon very uncomfortable in the in the riots, But at the end of the day, Trump will be the three to stay and And, uh, border. What do whatever he wants to do Long term politically, but, uh, it's not something I don't think we want to go to. My biggest concern is Hey, had great lawyers the last time when he had his impeach would you don't know the lawyers that he has today. They're not never bet on a big public stage. Uh, they're not not of Washingtonians. They don't know the The Capitol runs. I worry a little bit about that. Is you gonna gonna have his case made effectively as it was when they tried to impeach him out here? No. Huh? You know what we've seen this a million times were Nixon leaves there? Reagan leaves. And then whenever eventually you get the liberal Democrat in the media just fawns all over him. But how does that go? Usually does the fawning stop after a while, and then they start to go after him. Well, hard to say, You know, we certainly know the four years of Trump. There was never any funny, you know, people like yourself argue the merits of the Trump administration. I think the certain extent there was kind of a trump fatigue in the end it obviously the virus change the whole dynamic second election. What is not gonna basically be argued effectively is so The election, which any Trump would like to do is go make his case again. The election was stolen. Come in the record work by 11 by one big and that's that's the game. Make. The key thing here is as they undo daily, the Trump four year agenda, which is a very significant agenda, but day by day, their undoing every element of anything he ever did. And he'd go make his case to the American public again. These things he was doing was good for the country. The things that they're doing is not good for the country, and that's really the battle for the future. But the press the media given by enough just a total pass and everything. You know these executive orders. Biden has both houses of Congress. And Biden ran saying he's the guy that can go into Congress and get things done and negotiate. So why the executive order? Shouldn't he be in Congress getting walked in Congress, and he may very well be, but you know again. You have a 50 50 split in the Senate, even though Democrats have the majority with the vice president's vote any senator on any given day Democrat Republican to be queen for the day or king for the day. They could change the whole dynamics of that. So my sense is you got a very small margin in the house. You've got a very embattled Republican party. Uh, it's the closest of the we've had in a long, long time. Closest majority of very slim. So I think the reality is that geezer do all the stuff that Trump did by executive order and then get some things through in the course of a couple of years. If they're going to start worrying about the midterm elections. They've got a lot of senators that air Democrats. A lot of senators even have to go out to send their votes and their big spending votes and they're there. At the House certainly is with three, of course, been taking place. Uh, reason when the house in that 22 concerning take back the Senate, and that's really gonna be the goal. Yeah, But what about?.

"Once again, The Godfather of football. Tom Brady does it again. You asked me last Friday. Well, what I thought and by even a wider margin that I thought But anyway, the reason for the call is now love it. Governor. Cuomo is not only the brunt off comments by Rhonda Santos of Florida, but last Monday at the State of the State address in Oklahoma, the governor over there just totally Flashed call mode. You could see it on C span. He just really trashed on unemployment numbers. Hey said that they opened up out there in early June. They'll opened up all the way restaurant orders of calling him up. Thanking him. One restaurant owner he met with owns three catering halls, three restaurants, food trucks and He basically thank him for saving all of his employees, jobs and everything and their schools and opened up and they're doing great, But he just took Cuomo to task, he said. Their unemployment rate Is 60% lower than New York. And they're fully open and, uh, one of my relatives last week I went down to Florida. On, he said. He called me from flowered and he said then. He said. We're all open up down. The everything's everything's a go so I don't know what we're gonna do over here. We have white. Another year and a half of these two jerks. Some money. Guys destroyed. New York. Thanks. Vincent Cuomo, a disaster. The worst governor in America. The cruelest Governor American destroyed every killed 15,000 people in nursing homes. He killed 12,000 restaurants wiped him out in Florida. Everything's open indoor dining, outdoor dining that kept everything open. You could say it's reckless. You could say it's a look at the numbers. Their numbers are slightly better than New York's even Dr Oz this morning. I heard him say, This is the first time in history in a pandemic. Anybody ever just quarantined the people that were well quarantined the healthy people. We've never done that before, even in 1918. We didn't do that. So The Cuomo is and the briefings you may think, find them great, theatrically, very entertaining. They go on for an hour. You might like his acting performance, but his results is metrics. Total disaster. Worst governor in America When we come back, Ed Rollins will be with us. Here's a guy who's been through everything you could be go through in politics. So we'll ask him what's gonna happen with the impeachment and what's gonna happen in Congress and actually, what's going to happen in 2022? Will the Republicans take everything back? We'll get to that In a moment on 7 10 W. O R Let's get the latest news. Here's Joe Bartlett. Okay. Mark. Middle schools in New York City are going to reopen February, 25th new testing protocols will be put in place, allowing the junior high school students to get back into the classroom. For the first time since November, the high schools all will remain closed for now. Made of Glasgow says Citi Field will open is a mass vaccination side on Wednesday, half of the employments reserved for Queens residents, the other half reserved for the TLC and food delivery workers. Governor Cuomo could've announced today whether not indoor dining in the city can begin on Friday. It's scheduled to begin Sunday at 25% capacity, but some restaurant owners have asked for the full Valentine's weekend. President Biden says he will not reduce the size of those $1400 checks as part of his 1.9 Stream trillion dollar stimulus plan. But he says he's wide open on who will get the checks beating there will likely be some income thresholds set for the money. Next updated, known breaking news at once, Don't you? "Lot of their members are gonna be somewhat cautious system aggressive and agenda's gonna have to do. I'll do most of what Biden wants, but not all of what it wants. Hey, Ed Rollins. You've been in the White house and a lot of different administrations. If Biden were to be president, How does that work? Is he based basically a hands off. God, He just lets everybody else do everything. You know, I don't want his energy level is my sense is he's got a very experienced team experienced the system. Most of them were in the Obama administration. Uh, they pretty much you know, it's not to know. Learn on the job. They know what they want to do. I don't know what their agenda is obviously facing the two crisis is they face the virus. It's certainly still happen across the country and the economic crisis, so they've got to find some resolved both of those issues. I think they're gonna need bipartisan support. He keeps talking about bipartisanship. We'll see whether that's for real. If he has bipartisanship, he may get some of what he wants. If he wants to fight the Republicans, he's gonna lose. I think so. It was on support because they'd be concerned about some of these conservative districts. The country is split. Uh, you know, the president. Obviously 40,000 votes shift in these couple states. The president would be in office for second term. So you know, the reality is you got to be someone carefully gonna move the agenda forward to convince the country that you have the right ideas. But it's not sound like you got a big mandate and you're gonna march march forward with a whole new agenda radical agenda, So I think I think he's got a got a deal. He's gonna He's gonna be a deal maker. That's what he's always done in the past. Different Congress is about to deal with, but I think that's what crimes you, Ed Rollins. No one knows Washington better than you. Would you agree? The swamp, the Democrats, even the Republicans, all of them. Think if Donald Trump just went away, they'd be happy. They could go back to the old model business as usual. Do things the way they want. Isn't that what deep down what they really want? Oh, sure, sure. I mean, he was He was a nation of change. He didn't. He didn't do it their way. A lot of the successes that he had was because he didn't do it their way. But I think at this point in time I'll be very happy for me to go somewhere now depends on what kind of role he wants to play himself. He's still had 17 plus million voters go form Does he want to be a viable candidate and the future? Does he want to basically be a constructive force for change that you want to fight for his own agenda? I don't think anybody at this point knows what that is all about, So, but I think no one's going on about using the present squad of office and they go away. I don't know what he's gonna go away. You're not cooking career, Bill Clinton and Obama seems to be better. Hey, we're coming back. They're coming back. You know they they went away for a while. So, uh, I think the key thing is this. You know, he's kind of a big adjustment. Uh, sudden staff all the resources you had. It changes pretty dramatically and it's uh You know, the powers of the president has her enormous, and when you've had it like he's headed for the last four years, it's coming. It's gonna be real adjustment. Do you want to basically go fight for your agenda, which I think he should do? You have a lot of support. He wants to go fight for other things. Uh, you know, he'll have a big big megaphone. But whether or not it's gonna be Israel is because he hopes I don't know. Yeah, we're running out of time. But you're great it seeing which way the wind is blowing. We got a mayoral race in New York City in November. What's gonna happen? We're going to get another crazy progressive or people wake up and finally voting. Somebody that'll fix New York. We had most unpopular mayor in history in the city on my senses, because any alternative to him on his policies in a real chance of winning the cast of characters is running so far is not defined. There's no real front runner, so I think you could. You know if it's gonna be stranger, someone like that. That argue that are gonna be different than Because you're saying I'm gonna be I'm gonna be the third term for the philosophy was like to be successful. Uh, But if you got a Ray Kelly type of common sense guy who could fix the crime? We could something like that one. Great Kelly could have won. I think four years ago on this very popular a lot of our kind of, you know, I think the voters already discussed in the city both towards governor and towards the mayor. So good candidate, Uh, monastery Republican candidate but a good Democrat Conservative. Probably be very credible. All right, well, eight, sir, We're out of time, but great America pac dot com You still running that and people you still need people keep trying to protect the agenda. That's very, very important. So very involved racist tomorrow so Yeah, and, uh, congressional races. Another congressional race coming up in two years. So great American important? Yeah. Great America pac dot com. Oh, Ed Rollins. Great talking..

"O R. Well, we're looking for Ed Rollins not picking up right now. But we'll try and we'll try and we'll see if we can get a hold of him. The vaccines well, and many states giving out very fast. New York Way too slow When it comes to actually executing stuff. This governor this mayor, they're not created that So on Lee, one third of the vaccines have already been given out to a little slope. So you got to. Now you got the Fizer, which is very good. You got the maternal vaccine. Very good Vaccines that got the AstraZeneca one. They did the first vaccination this morning of that That's being unveiled at once a little little less powerful than these other two. It's an easier one because it's one dose. But the Fizer and the modern No one seemed to be 98% effective. A little less percentage on the AstraZeneca one. Hey, by the way, the visor and the Johnson generally here 98% effective. They've also shown in studies that when you say well, 2% could still get it. If you still got it. With this vaccine, you get a very mild case, and that's 100% on these two vaccines. So if you if you somehow still got it would be a very mild case guaranteed 100% much like the flu shots. There's a Johnson and Johnson vaccine on the way, but I don't know if you'll ever see that's a very troubled the vaccine. They've had nothing but trouble. They had to shut down the trial's A couple of times. There've been problems that Johnson and Johnson one. I don't know how effective that's gonna be. That's a little Again. It's It's like this. At present. It's a cheaper, easier version. We only need one dose doesn't need to be frozen. But when you go with the cheaper, easier one, you know, they always say you get what you pay for some The two good ones. The fighter and the maternal one are out. So phase one is, you know is the health care workers and all of that stuff, then Phase two is supposed to be Front line law enforcement, police fire all that kind of stuff. Phase three, and hopefully the speed this up and get to face three in the next couple weeks, Phase three supposed to be people over a certain age. Sometimes they say, 65. Sometimes they say, 50. Sometimes they say, 75. It'll be older people or People with underlying conditions. Face four is the big one where everybody can get it. It's just a case of government efficiencies to how fast you can get to phase for face force when everybody could get it. When your doctor will have it. Your pharmacy will have it. Just like a flu shot. You'll go into a making appointment of Duane Reade or Walgreens or a CBS and going to get it there or you'll get it. Your most doctors will be able to handle the vaccine when they say it has to be 90 below zero, and all of that. It's not a problem. It just means It just means you need a medical freezer in your office. Most great doctors offices that medical freezers and they're already putting the man in these pharmacies where you'll be able to get one by the way. Pharmacists who I never get enough credit. These far Mrs are also frontline health care workers. They'll be getting vaccinated in round one as well. And when it comes to the hospitals right now, when they say the hospital workers It's the people in the emergency rooms that people would treat the coronavirus patients, but they're also giving it to everybody. You know, Receptionist, janitors, anybody that's going to be around the patient's anybody that has contact with the patients getting the vaccine right now, But something has gone wrong in New York. Under Governor Cuomo, it seems only one third of the vaccines have been given out and Cuomo. I don't think I don't think deep down Andrew Cuomo's a big liberal, He's generally a practical, common sense, sort of a guy. But he's also everything with him was politics, so he always watches which way the wind is blowing. So he always looks to cater to every thinks he should cater to psych Fauci saying the same thing. So he's now catering to the progressives. He trying to look as progressive as possible, not a progressive guy, but he's trying to pretend to use so That's why he keeps talking about Phase two will be drug addicts and prisoners. The Massachusetts already done this and giving it to the prisoners to the drug addicts to again just pandering catering. So we still can't find Ed Rollins. I don't know what happened to him. But let's take a caller to. In the meantime, let's go to Jeff and I slip. Jeff, how you doing? I'm good. Happy New Year. I'm not going to let you know. I'm glad you don't have that Rollins on because He's a sort of a stealth, Never Trumper. Okay, and I don't know He's been a bit. He's been a big trump supporter for four years now, at the end now at the end, and not the beginning, so, but nevertheless, I don't like Republicans. All right, well, thanks for calling. Thanks for calling. Now he's let's say he's a great guy at Rollins. He's also the dean himself. Nobody better at the congressional races, presidential races all that stuff. Ed Rollins. How you doing? Good. Happy New Year. A happy new year. Uh, listen, you know this stuff better than anybody. What happens in Georgia tomorrow? You know, my sense is it's a dead even race. Republicans historically have always done well on specials. Uh, I think I think we should win them. We need both of them. But it's coming very close, and I think the reality is that a lot of money has been spent. A lot of outside money has been spent. I think the president's visit today will have some impact. Obviously it's gonna be about electing the two senators, as opposed to just complaining about him getting screwed himself, but I think the reality here is that they are winnable. You know, the environment here is you got the house with the very close can vote margin speakers that reelected yesterday by the narrowest margin. Modern times the Senate right today we have. We have 50 when these two were 50 to weaken moving agenda on that stopping agenda by this agenda, And so it's really a very much very important this week's gonna be a very, very critical week. If the Democrats win it all If they win the total control of Congress. I think you go nuts with this pack in the court and all these crazy left wing things or are they gonna be careful so they don't screw up the re election two years from now? They don't have a margin to go. Be crazy. And then if they had they had a 10 seat margin in the Senate toward 100.5 30 seat margin miles, they could do a lead, but the reality is every single vote is gonna be close.
