"Way behind as life as good as stillwell clear. Life is good, hasn't seen arrival. He's half the court of police in front by many. Nick's go just has too much to do at this point as they straighten for the drive. Three 16s to go. Life is good. It's still well clear. Second is Nick's go toward the insides to let her boy back to fourth and endorsed less than an 8th of a mile from home. Life is good as looking good. Life is good and I ran Ortiz junior. They ran them off their feet in the Pegasus. Life is good on cloud 9. He won by three over nicks co in second, third was stiletto boy, tight for fourth, either sir Winston or endorsed in one 48 and four. So life is good wins the Pegasus World Cup and I think myself like most people by the time and I shouldn't say I remember I said earlier I only got one thing right and that was the odd two things right because I said I thought this race would be decided on that first turn and boy was it ever you know there's certain races you watch and you think it's race is over like early and it's usually when a good FrontRunner gets the lead, right? Like that's a lot of times when you say that. Like if a horse is stocking from third, even if it's a super good order, it's like you don't necessarily think well this is over. But Nick's go if you watch he out broke life is good like life is good, didn't break great. When I say I broke, I mean, literally the first couple of steps and stiletto boys right there with him and then within a matter of like it seemed like three or four strides after those initial two or three, life is good was taken a lead, and he was pulling away. Pulling away early. Which I just, you know, it was in paper form that he could go really fast early on. And did I see him being in front by four down the backstretch? No, I just, I didn't even know that he would get, but I just thought nix go, it was like a must sand. And it wasn't. And that's the start of the list of things I was wrong about. The other one I was wrong about was that they wouldn't run one too. Because I thought they would be some kind of matchup upfront. It wasn't. It was the best horse up there trotting along. And the second best horse kind of sitting back and then kind of had to work to out kicks to let a boy who was very game running third for Jose Ortiz. Obviously picking up the mount for Kent sormo. We'll talk about what happened with Kent. That was not great news for anybody. But stiletto boy, very, very good effort for Ed motor junior, getting up for a third place in that race. And, you know, as I said, third place in that race, 300 grand. I mean, you know, that's literally the equivalent of winning a half $1 million race somewhere else. So obviously the connections have to be thrilled. Would they have liked the 600,000? The second gets sure. But they were all balanced. I mean, that was just a total run them off their feet race by life is good and you know he's thrown up 21 and change opening quarters before and so that should have been known that, you know, he was capable. That nix goes thrown up some good half mile times and you know, I mean he's been on the league going 21 and 14 keenland in that dirt mile and that was a bit of a souped up track, but I just did not foresee, I guess life is good being that far ahead. I know some of the pace projectors had him just ahead, but he was way out there and completely dominant. He's made now 2.72 $.8 million in just 7 starts for Todd pletcher who continues at a incredible rate down at Gulfstream park 42% going into the day. His horses are just running. I think he's 5 for ten at Tampa with four second place finishes and I know for a fact two of those. Second place finishes, 'cause he had another horse in the race that won the race. So he couldn't have done any better than that. But yeah, life is good, a dominating winks go. Finishing second off to retirement for Nick's go is he wraps up his career and sir Winston really there's not a whole lot else of interest in the race other than stiletto boy, and they were way clear of endorsed who was kind of involved in the middle stages of the race and ran a credible effort, but I mean, it was all about the winner in this case, which most horse races are, but this was certainly, you know, for a horse who's been very lightly raced and has had some insane. I mean, it's crazy to think the only race that life is good lost. Was that jerkins race that it looked like he was going to win the whole way down the lane. You know, Mike Smith was just kind of very confident on him and you just thought like, okay, he's going by he's going by and then he just never went by and got beat by Jackie's warrior who was kind of the top of his game he beat following see that race by 8 or something crazy. So the wake of destruction behind life is good. I mean, you know, you look back, you beat me.

"These were the three year olds. Going a mile and a sixteenth on the turf. We've got a field of six anthony and a horse that i've gotten to know pretty well in number one stiletto boy. His last two races right here at prairie meadows. He in fact he won the iowa. Derby masterful ride on the front end by jose ortiz. Off that win. He has changed barnes. he's changed ownership. he's now in ed motors. Barn this horses bred to be okay on the turf. He's by shackelford out of markets. Remember i like to let. Oh boy what do you think so stiletto boy for bobby new trying to wave that local that local iowa flag. Yeah i wonder how how does horse is going to handle the The move to the turf is supposed to be on the front end. These fast than these horses early got some question marks though he got the zo ferrelli that there were five shipping from europe for jeff malls beckett had the source overseas calf skin peak came over back in august of last year won a couple of races. As a two year old fill the motto came back in the pasadena wind horse by the name of rock. Your world he was wanting into rock. Your world fills having a very tough time at del mar As we record the show. Friday afternoon one for thirty five going into the weekend. Those are not Filled d'amato numbers. I thought this horse ran okay last time you see the long break and that's a problem with the barn going slowly as it's going with the little boys question mark on the turf at least some speed. I'm gonna try catherine pre from them from the four hundred for d'amato and water endless okay. So casket peak for anthony in the la. Hoya i agree with you. Fill d'amato he's one of those of you. Scratch your head when you see stats like this because you know first of all it's not gonna last forever and you know that he's you know he and his team are way too talented and they've got way too good horses To be throwing numbers in like this. So just a matter of when fulfill d'amato in his barn and maybe this kick-starts them gaskin peak for anthony and once again i'm going to try the local the local boy. If you're an iowa if you're an iowa guy stiletto boy. He actually went through the phase of tipton sale after he won the iowa derby and he was sold for four hundred twenty thousand dollars. I mean this. What's that that's a lotta scratch. I mean if you think about it. It's a horse who took five starts to get his maiden win and then he won the quarter million dollar iowa derby. It's not. It's not a graded race. They put them in the sale. And somehow hit the jackpot. Three seven's came up in the form of four hundred twenty k. For this son of shackelford who by the way is a gelding. He's not he's not a full horse gelding. So they the new connections. Steve mojer ed mojer junior. Obviously like this allot to be spending that kind of money at the sale with with the little bit of resume that he had behind him. They saw something or think they saw something that others didn't. And maybe turf is it. I'll tell you this anthony. If this horse is as good or better on the turf as he's been on the dirt they better not let him get to the lead by himself. Because it's going to be trouble for everybody else. Stiletto boy for me in the la- caffeine peak for anthony in the grade. Three la hoya goes as race nine. Sunday at del mar. We're going to take our final break when we come back. We've got four more races to look at cup of three of them. Sunday at saratoga. One sunday at ellis park. You're listening to the weekend. "An ocd guy. And i'm a taxonomic. I like to be able to see lists so that i can put things in order and really kind of grasp. The big picture and the table of contents of your book is fascinating. I should actually keep this thing in my wallet. Because it basically lays out every single brand and every single model that was so part of the muscle car universe. So i'm looking. You got thirteen cars and sixty nine and a half and he got twenty two different cars in nineteen seventy and again from everybody up to and including your beloved emc now boy talk about an odd ball and we'll take some time to talk about that oddball later on because american motors is like the hero of the muscle car era so this book is like the encyclopedia britannica of muscle. Of course a lot of stuff was happening in. Sixty-nine too i mean it wasn't just ronin martin's laugh at neil armstrong set foot on the moon and less than a month later jimi hendrix. All hippies which might be best called me. Were reveling at woodstock. Those quite a period there is all kinds of stuff going on back then. Interesting anecdote about that. Particular reference is you brought back memories for me. Is i lived in new jersey at the time grew up in new jersey and we were driving to montreal from new jersey z. Weekend of woodstock and the your states ruwais was a disaster especially because all those broken down volkswagen buses with the hippies in. I'm trying to get there and of course those things didn't always make it. We took some time in the book to make sure that young readers who didn't experience that dot to bring in all the different things were happening socially around the united states at the same time that these psychedelic cars and colors. Coming out in the late sixties. We touched about that a little bit in the preamble on each. We didn't wanna make it a book about the whole era but we wanted people to know that youth were doing things each day that got them on the news and therefore the marketing of the cars earned from the stodgy business people and this station wagons full of eighth ball player kids. We wanted people to know reading the book that this was a turn in the marketing of cars where they started reaching out to the young people or performance cars and then even in the book we covered that translated into a small cars of the vega. The gremlin the pinto maverick at the end of the most car that was the replacement and the engineers started in the mid to late sixties designing those small cards when all of this other social aspect was going on and yet they interrupted that and release the high performance muscle cars as if they were in panic in sixty nine and a half and seventy knowing that the end was coming all the sudden we were flooded with choices some times by a single manufacturer with too many choices like we talk about with ford but all these choices all going after that young dollar and even the young professional dollar that was now i buying influence. That's right and boy. What a laundry list of luminaries in the car world. We'll talk about a few of those later on as we cut a dive deep into makes and models and get your guys expertise on those things for me apart from marketing to whole young flower power generation. Yet everything from guys going off to fight in vietnam and some of them never even came back on those stories of the parents have to sell son's car because he never came home. That's tearjerking stuff down to selling secretary little mustangs. I got a question for you. And i don't want to derail this. But if we're talking about muscle cars what's a pony car. Can you explain that to our audience. We both have leverage opponent. Cars grew out of the mustang. I considered a subset of the muscle. Car universe generally twenty cars compact cars. Mustang was a variation all the falcon valiant exactly the dregs at the time or the less expensive cars. All of a sudden saw an opportunity to get a little sportier well. Each of the manufacturers found away by nine hundred sixty seven two big block engines between the shock towers toes a mustang especially was a metamorphosis from sixty six sixty seven model. Where you got a big box. Three ninety spun mercury cougar off at the same time g. m. introduced the firebird and camaro in sixty seven firebird. Most people don't realize was sixty seven and a half of introduction and a piece of the firebird is been attracted to the ones that then. There's very few of them left. It had the overhead cam. Six cylinder engine which just kind of hybrid hybrid. That is a rare car. I've ever had anybody on this show. That even knew it existed while you got to wacky on your show probably ever have but sixty eight. Amc came out with their javelins. Which was a variation of the american which was my first car. That's how they evolved and what's interesting again. A little bit of amc manusha. All the amc were small box even though they were displaced into almost seven leaders but they all were built on similar architecture of what started at two hundred ninety. Two begins in just got bored and stroked until they couldn't boreham stroke anymore. That was a beautiful engine. By the way i mean. That's a v. Eight that does not get enough credit now. Personally i guess. If i had the hang of v eight engine in the hall of fame it'll be afford to eighty nine just because of all the illustrious history that goes with it but the unsung hero of the v8's were some of those larger displacement amc motors. Those were brilliant designs and bulletproof. I've owned many of the ansi. Three ninety s including an se rambler. That is in the book. And then seventy mark donohue javelins with the three ninety and then just picked up an x. With a 401 one. That doesn't fit within our book guidelines interest seventy one. But i agree. Amc pontiac was the step brother that had to deal with a limited budget and accomplish more and so pontiac was able to accomplish that with their v8 going all the way from three twenty six up to the four twenty eight began to all in a small block and then eventually four fifty five but amc did the same aspect certain limitations on tooling limitations on warehousing capabilities that the big three didn't really how we try and talk throughout this book. We try and talk about the unsung heroes other. That took buick. If it's stage one but we also talk about factory produced rather than aftermarket created and we talk a little bit about things like cobo. The cocoa is available in early sixty nine camaro and chevelle and explain to our audience. What copa means a cocoa as corporate a central central office production order. I guess right and pocar chevrolet got the restriction that they put on a four hundred cubic inch for any of their own ian cars and they got around it by doing special fleet deliveries under that number and they started putting four twenty seven b eight cells and sold them to people like carol ann ginko and others who didn't have to do an engine conversion in order to get the high performance cars on the street and it's a very significant car in the history of muscle car being that we've had a window of eighteen months we ignored most of those cars introduced prior to sixty nine. We touched a little bit on the copa program. So people would understand it but we really were looking at frenzy that occurred from january nineteen sixty-nine until the end of production nine thousand nine hundred seventy which would have been about august of one thousand nine hundred seventy going to take a short break but we'll be right back on medicine. We're still practicing. Join dr steven. Tae back and bill kurtis for real conversations with the medical professionals who have their finger on the pulse of health care in the modern world available on all your favorite podcasting platforms produced by kirk. Oh media we're back with mark. Fletcher enrich rich bill. Look at t o see here. It really does kind of put the spotlight on. What was it the time. Some serious motorsport competition. The first part of that chapter is about the low cost drag car. So that's the roadrunners runners and the super bees and the judge. The cougar eliminator. But then also you talk about the sec. A muscle those trans am. Cars are the ones that fascinate me. And some of the prettiest cars of the era. Iv tammy those words the boy a three car lineup of camaro and lost three. Oh two and a transam. It doesn't get much better than that. And then you talk about what you call the round e round muscle cars. The nascar car's in to me a dodge charger daytona. I mean there's nothing better than that. Big old basket handled thing. That looked like it came from outer space. Talk about how. These cars were not just for racing. But how they kind of ended up in forming a whole consciousness once they hit the street. Let's talk a little bit about the nascar portion because that's very interesting l. Nascar had been growing in to begin. Shes in the racing aspect and they started realizing that as long as they were pushing bricks in wind they were to be able to get to the speed than would allow them to consistently win it man. Those things had all the aerodynamic aplomb of a phone booth didn't they. I mean they're just big old flat front end and scoops. Front ends had recess grills for the public. If you remember shakes eight charger. Javelin most of those cards that were being run they had a parachute they were pushing around the track. So four did something very creative. When they introduced the torino to the point that it's really succeeded in the six eight sixty nine series with the fastback and this was one of the most flat windows they designed in that car and it started getting an ad even though it wasn't necessarily in the cuban horsepower aspect enough that richard petty changed from plymouth to ford in nineteen sixty nine. And that got some of the people at chrysler and the other people upset. So the first thing they did was they. Put a satellite real in this sixty nine dodge charger trying to get rid of that air scoop in the front and then they put a plug in the rear window and they called that a charger five hundred. We don't talk a lot about that because that was the beginning of the year that they introduced that model. Well when that didn't do the job they got pretty wild probably created the wildest visual design of any manufacturer and that is called the daytona. And it's based on the dodge charger. And they put that pointed nose on the front and the wing on the back to hold it down. And they designed it and nascar didn't like it too much the big hemi engine and that design and they made them make five hundred of them for the year to meet the requirements for racing but then they update for the next year they made it either two thousand or one for every two dealerships depending on how you read it but they had to make five times as many scarily couldn't sell those things. Either when i license in the late seventies. I remember a bright green. Now this would be a super bird the next year the seventy model based on the super be around bottom but the super bird was still sitting on the car dealership in eastern washington in some lime green and they wanted the seven thousand dollars sticker for it and i can convince my father that would make a good replacement for my sixty six rambler american. They were laughed at when they went. Down the road in the seventies we grew up in that era and the practical person didn't buy it was basically the person that would be driving a hippie. Dan only they wanted to go faster. So they bought a suber. That's plymouth for those people who don't know what a super bird was of course plymouth and dodge or kissing cousins lot of badge engineering going on back then although certainly more distinction than we have today what incredible. Car so nascar. Really was an impetus for some aerodynamic advancements. We'll be right back in just a moment here on cars that matter. Welcome to life done better. Listen and subscribe from kurt co media media for your mind back to cars that matter what was going on in transam that was a little different kind of racing area of expertise. And what's interesting. I'm looking at this table of contents myself on my laptop. Is that all three cars and been photograph way prior to the production of the book. All were shot in a studio almost all the rest of the photography of mine outside contributors were. I would call location photography. But it's interesting that you can look at z. Twenty eight camaro z. Twenty eight pontiac trans. Am and the boss three. Oh two which won the championship that year. So in the book. You're getting a different perspective on your perspective of the design of those cars but it's different than the rest of the book and just worked out that way. There was a period of time from twenty and into the end of the decade. That i shot a lot of cars in studio would usually get a commission to do one car. And on the same day i bring in seven more. Somebody was paying the freight studio and those were some very intense days i think about. I've gone hold reynolds. i could maintain that based. I do know that when i would do those shoots. They would start at eight o'clock in the morning and ended eight o'clock at night. I will sleep for two days afterwards because it was just choreographing these cars coming in out in out of the studio but i loved it. I mean you know look for it but those transam cars are my favorites. That's an interesting part of the book is just an aside in you. Maybe i would forget about it later on but the designers ed motor books i think didn't outstanding job with the design of the book. I had a lot of input to it particularly on the cover where i wanted to books. Cover the stand out from all the of the muscle car books out there and it was my idea to have the four side profile images of the cars on the cover one from amc one from four g. m. went from chrysler we've got an outstanding cover and this is a category of cars that has been written about literally dozens of times by some very very good author and colleagues of mine from the magazine and the motor books people just think didn't outstanding job and quite frankly. I can't wait to get my hands on hard copy of the book. Damn proud of what. We accomplished dennis and his team at motor books and mark anais going to dozens of car shows. And i have to tell you. Social media came into this openness. How in the we were finishing up the photography of the book in early twenty twenty and then ovid hit i was able to leverage my facebook presence i have a facebook mandated five thousand member maximum and we were assured probably in cars as of march twenty. Twenty and dennis was on my case and richard. How are you going to get this done. And i just went to facebook. I went to various forums online and got all of the import cars and then some left on the cutting room floor literally is one of the fifty two nine hundred sixty nine. Amc ss amx's. And i feel terrible about it because the owner of the car went through a lot of trouble to get to talk for me and there just wasn't the room for team and to lay. Those are really unfortunate things for me as a writer and photographer and literally the assembly line worker of this book. I couldn't have done it without marks there. No question about it. Because he wrote the vast majority of attacks. And i think we figured it out at seventy five twenty five and that allowed me to concentrate in march and april as the deadline. Dentist was getting right. I think he was ready to cancel book. And as for vance back but we got everything done and to me the community on why of the enthusiasts that own these cars is what made this book possible in that and i have to say dennis's patients with understanding the troubles. We were going against. And like i said i think the design of the book because i do design magazine and book design myself when i saw the first. Pdf to truth. I just really pretty happy as happy. My name is on the cover with as well while. There's an awful lot to cram in between these covers because it is as. I say encyclopedic its contents. The book will be purchased probably because of the fantastic photography richards known for capturing the look of the cars. We tried to keep the cars stock as possible and rich really struggled when that occurred and we couldn't go out physically catch those cars himself and he had to rely on other photographers for a few of those. I know that's hard that those had to meet his standards which was hard for anybody else that was taking so i know that a lot of people pick up the book. See the photography and make decisions based on that but we didn't want to do was produced a book that was all about the ls six and the hammy and nothing else. We wanted people to remember the cars. They saw in their hometown in ohio. Kansas where they grew up and remember the ride. They took with the older brother that had the emmy roadrunner and so on and so we tried to take the written part of this book and bring people back to that area then aira as well as reaching out to many different clubs across the nation or details or was one even though. I've got a pretty solid history with ford for when it came to the fore twenty eight twenty nine simultaneously being offered by ford and mercury in their vehicles and keeping straight which ones were the coverage at in the super cobra jet which earned in the advertising. That's right not to mention the fact for twenty sevens were eventually not made went on strike and even got a c. cobras that aren't for twenty-seven but that's a whole different chapter of a whole different book And keep in mind with all of those things. We had to go to people in the hobby. You know these details and we expect that there will be some controversy because we put in a pretty good tax but some of the still being debated between collectors on which way cars game which ways they didn't come isn't that great and i think within the whole i'm going to call it the whole muscle car arena. That's where you get not just the most heated debate but that's where you get the greatest degree of camaraderie and dedication if it weren't for the dedicated enthusiasts that organize and run the clubs and so many of the guys and even gals that are into the weeds with these cars. None of them would be preserved. And even the things that were reported by the car manufacturers been proven to be inaccurate over a grossly inflated in some cases and in other cases grossly under inflated we talk about when they were doing the certification for the cyclone to that's a rare carr explained to our audience. What that is. Though in sixty nine and a half mercury also wanted in on the nascar warriors. They were a much smaller so to speak of ford and didn't have quite the racing budget. But they wanted to be there. And so they created the cycled spoiler to with the flush knows like a ford talladega at and of course the fastback aspect and the changed rocker panels turns out by the way just as a side note. The front fenders aren't interchangeable between them. They were made separately and we were able to get those details including talk to build. Yeah exactly that's why we need guys like you. Because i didn't know those vendors were not interchangeable. We're hoping to do with. The book is to make sure that people get those details and to get back to where my story was going. They were actually trying to count all the cyclone. Spoilers to me the homologation rules for nascar and they were moving cars around building and counting them more than once and middle of the pile of cards could be viewed from a higher area. What we call the w knows version or not. The flush knows version of the cars painted in both the tail. Yaro girl and dan dirty different paint schemes blue and red highlighting but they mixed in regular production cars painted to map and then turned around and sold those cars as well in order to get around the numbers so we have a number that was given to us. But there's no guaranteed sacked to get the correct numbers as known today but as new information comes out and they still do on this. We may have a difference of opinion in two years on what the number really wants. Desperate times call for desperate measures and back then if it was a matter of making enough cars to be able to hit the track manufacturers did any number of things to make sure that happened just talked. Any italian i think is interesting about this is that was all the auction interest in these cars. They've gotten documentation. That is conflicting but is part of the body of works speak research. I give a lot of credit to the auction. Companies all the major houses barrett jackson gooding and mecum especially that has preserved so much of the information on these cars just with the various auction listings. And that's important for future historians. I grew up a coming of age driving when these cars were ending. Their run never owned one in period. Couldn't afford to a subsequently have owned a couple of the my favorite time behind the wheel had been behind the wheel of these cars. I sixty eight three ninety cougar with manual breaks. And i can tell you that flintstone good and stuff that thing. I remember coming home from might student teaching assignment in waynesboro pennsylvania and driving home to new jersey and solely only one at the time it was a white knuckled drive home in a car that was sixty percent of its weight was over the front wheels with manual drum brakes not. I don't think i've had a more difficult. Driving experience in my life.

"When you go out and get the top jockey pretty much toe right? And I think that's a big telephone. That was the best that I don't think it'll be great off. It's kind of a single on our early pick five. But that number four Irish declaration looks looks good over the number two asset. And the number 34 or five. So we were a 44 to 3 in that order, but the best bet on that four. Okay, but we none of the fourth race. There's an even money shot in this race number six. Honeymoon's over. Yeah, I think honeymoon's over. That was our top call. Here. We were too deep on our early pick five. Honeymoon's over even money. With Blaine, Right? And Kyle fray again. So again, top trainer top jockey combination there. Um, He's basically taking advantage of the conditions that he has run in the past for the $8000 claiming tag in the last two years. He's been way above that for the last, you know, year over year plus But, uh, you got claimed to starts back by Blaine, right? I think they're kind of just looking for a little preparation. Um, and looking for just kind of a pick me up for him. He hasn't won in his last three, and this will be a good spot for him to pick up that way and again, so He's taken advantage of the fact that he did run for 1000 in the past two years, which qualifies him for this race. He's protective spot. He's usually racing in the 25 to 40,000 range and doing well, actually, at that level, so even money I think he's dropping in here against some horses. That he outclasses and claiming is over. Looks good. I think the best value might come with a late run and very, very sharp number. 56 hand to, um, for Reed, France. He's got him in great form right now. Comes off a win for the $8000 tag and then gets protected here. So I like that move that's confident and that the horse is doing well. So I was a six even money on the six and then if you want value, I think it's on the 5 12 the ones to tend to And then for third, I'd look for maybe another late runner. Um, number two cannonball coming, But we were just 65 alone on our exotic early early bet high, moving on to the fifth race. And we had a value play here for a first time Starter. Yeah, this race. It's we've got four. We've got another six horse field. And it's ah maidens. It's our top level meetings, and they just turned three years old. So it's our top level. Young maidens here and four out of the six have never run before, so you're kind of sorting through first time starters. And I think, uh, three of those were interesting. I think this is probably this is the I think this is the biggest vulnerable favorite of the day that number one. It's my house. It's 6 to 5 gets. Kyle has a top trainer but and ran second, beaten only length in his debut and then makes his second start today. But that race we have successfully been playing against that race and making a little money. Um, that race on November 7th was very slow for the level and has not really produced anything out of it. So he did. He did come out and run second in that race. He has a couple good workouts, but it's 6 to 5. He is definitely a week favorite in my opinion, so I was looking for any kind of a first time starter with a little bit of spark, and I think there's a couple of them in there. The top one being number four. Hey, mate at 6 to 1 for Bill McClane, He's a Kentucky bred out of a fire McLean's music who hit well 18% with his first time starters. And Bill McLean does very well 18% with his first time starters as well. He's got some sneaky, good workout. This trainer never works his horses out fast. He does a lot of six furlong type work. Just slow, steady and that last five on the last six furlong work on Hey, mate really pointed him out that 1 14 and four I think really sets him up here. Ondas kind of a sneaky good work, so 61 definitely like teammate. My second call was another first timer. Bogeyman 92 for Blaine, Right, and Catalina Martinez hopping in the battle. There's definitely a few good works there. And definitely good connections. And then if I was going to go, I'd actually throw a 3rd 1st time Starter Number two Command flip sergeant Major for Ed Motor in the last two workouts. There are definitely better than Ed Motor typically shows he's got up the hot writing on Feel Espinosa on and If I was going to go with either of the two experienced horses again, I'd still leave out the low odds favorite on the rail and maybe go with the speedy meant me and Bubba me, Bubba T number five, So I was a four. I mean, I think this race is nobody's run before, but I still had a value placed 6 to 1. On that four came eight. Then we were three bogeyman. I'll use the five meet bubble tea with a little bit of speed. And then the other first time starter command command Sergeant Major, and I was just going to make a statement and go for deep without using the favorite T O End our pick five and pick four. All right, moving on to the six ways today at Golden Gate Fields and I have a little best bet here on number six are bold prints. You are bold prints. It's digging inside the numbers there. You know, you look through his race career, and he's one for 17, which isn't that's not a great record. The starter allowance levels I, really typically the winning profile is recent maiden winner and lightly raced is what what usually wins this type of level. It's a 50,000 star allowance level. But we're looking at one for 17 Honorable Prince. However, he's been kind of wasted at different distances and different surfaces, so he's never hit the board on on dirt, so sometimes over the summer, they've raised him at Pleasanton, and he has a couple races there never hit the board there, and he's also never hit the board and his two tries on turf, so right there You know, and then also the distance. They've also stretched him out a few times. He's run. Well, he's run well, but never really done anything there either. So if you just look back at his synthetic sprints, your golden gate He actually has run very well. And the other thing he does really well is second off the layoff. So the last two times he did this pattern where he had a little bit of a preparation. Where he kind of runs well, but hey, moves way up on that second start, and that's what he's doing Today. He took in November 2 January break. He ran against the field of really salty horses at 20,000 last time Torpedo away is one like about five races over this track in the same 20,000 range. And like I said the cannonball coming earlier in the day, he was second in that race. Horrible Prince was a good third. He was in that race until deep stretch when the race got blown open by torpedo away, finished third, beaten, only 2.5. It's protected again. Here, I think steps way up and runs a better race today. And so it's six at the V 8 to 5 Morning line favorite. I think he's the horse to beat and the kind of the best horse to move forward in this one. And the only other horse we're going to use on the late pick four and pick five was the number five night gig at 2 to 1 for his ego to my own Kyle. Uh, he'll be making his fourth start here over a sprint distance. I'm gonna throw out the last turf effort on him..
