He obviously this is he's a freshman. This is his first experience in college football, so he is not handled it necessarily well against a lackluster Colorado team. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of neutral site games, except for Texas OU, which is a tradition that happens over and over again. But this is this is a bit unique. It's interesting because I think you know and In Boulder. Their stadium, I think holds around 45,000 people, and so they were expecting a much larger crowds, so they did move into my house stadium. But the mile high isn't even sold out. I wouldn't be shocked if they had More than 50,000 people at this game, So I guess in a way they were smart to move it, but it wasn't that necessary and I would have rather seen this game being played in Boulder when they have a true home field advantage, but all power to him. It's a fun stadium to watch Mile High Stadium. But Yeah, probably have. Thank you, sir. The Austin City Council got an update yesterday on its plan to pick four homeless camps. Move the homeless out and put them in hotels. They call it the hell initiative and they got a briefing yesterday in the city staff said. We moved 147 homeless people out of four camps and move them into hotels. We still have 100 19 of those people living in the hotels at taxpayer expense. 22 of the homeless people got kicked out for bad behavior and they didn't go into details. They had a few that got arrested. Some have ended up being put into hospitals. But the city staff was taking about yesterday and saying Give us a pat on the back. We still have 119 living in hotels. Yeah, I was going to say And afterwards, they said Insert applause here. We've done such a fantastic job. Y'all told us to get these people off the streets Four months ago, we were able to get 119 successfully off temporarily. You really should be saying what a great job city of Austin How many empty rooms do we have? How many more encampments do we have out there where this campaign is still taking place? Can't sort of, but it was much more durable than a standard tent. And it was had to be kept inflated, but you could heat and cool that thing very easily. And in addition, they could put inexpensive cabins inside where the individuals had the sense of living in a house. It wouldn't have to be heated and cooled because the main unit would be heated and cooled. Tried this hotel thing in San Diego friend of mine said, And after a couple years, the hotels were completely trashed. I'm not surprised just a question of buying the hotel. The continuing maintenance and upkeep is insane. Yeah, That's not surprising. I believe it. I think San Francisco's running into the same thing with the hotels they're using out there. And they're also thinking Tommy about buying. Tiny homes and having the homeless live in tiny houses, tiny homes they say they could get some for $10,000 each and have the homeless liver knows that one of these sites That's basically what I'm suggesting, but without having a sewer facilities and so forth place where they can have a hot plate or whatever to cook a few meals and give them a little patch of dirt. Whatever you want to call it inside a tent. The problem is trying to heat and cool. One of those little tiny homes. Two years ago, the city of Boston voted to close down for Central City. Older elementary schools. So these elements schools all have running water locker facilities. Different rooms. Of course. You know the gymnasium grounds, etcetera. Why can't these bees repurpose as temporary housing, but also solve some of the equity issues that people have regarding the distribution of the homeless camps throughout the community, And then nobody wants it. No, I mean, nobody idealizes. I want a homeless camp next door. But if we are going to spread it somebody, even they did it through in the community. Why not use these resources that Presumably, this city could buy from a I s D and repurpose them for the next You know, Perceivable future? Well, I think everything he says, plausible as far as the facilities and how they could accommodate And But I think the other thing you said, is how nobody wants him. They're going to have a new Conduct policy and they're going to make it very, very difficult for kids to get suspended. In the Dallas public schools, Whether it's in school suspension or out of school suspension, they're going to just about totally eliminate those types of suspensions for bad behavior. Yeah, they're calling these. Um I guess new behavior. Uh, Reset centers. So what they're going to do is they're going to set up classrooms that have things like flexible seating. Um, they will have restorative circles, calming colors, mood meters fidget and sensory tools. So when a child I guess, acts out or gets into severe disciplinary problems there that would normally have them suspended. They're going to be sent to the centers where they will be talking with counselors. But also having to do their schoolwork. I don't know when I was reading about what all is going to be in this room. It is horrible for me to say this and go to the bad side immediately. But some kids may want to be in this room instead of a classroom among all the other kids, and they may act out intentionally just to go there. I I think you're right. That's not that out of bounds and you're thinking because it says only severe misconduct. Will have someone eligible to be suspended that's suspended and go home or expelled. And here are the two things they mention possession of illegal drugs or making a terroristic threat. Those are the examples of severe misconduct. That will end up with that student being sent home or totally expelled from the Dallas public schools. I wonder. On a percentage basis. How many of their previous suspensions were for those two things? I'm going to guess It's probably a small number that we're for those two things, which means there's a broader scope of discipline problems that are going on that we usually would be suspended and in this case will not I'm thinking about fight fighting. Starts mint. Well, can I start at at about 10 20 on Saturday morning when I'm enjoying a breakfast taco and son Ben calls me from the road and said Tom Herman just got fired. You know, you could have knocked me down with a feather. First of all, I was exceedingly surprised that he got fired of the other morning the day after what we have when it would Saturday. I was shocked because Krystal contact had led us to believe he was going to be the coach in 2021 Crystal cont a talk to the to the new recruits and said, Hey, Tom, Herman is going to be your coach. Don't worry. Don't worry. And then Tom Herman goes out and the team blows the doors off Colorado, maybe maybe his best win in Texas. Yeah, maybe his best best win it Texas and I thought I thought Thomas secure for another year. We saw a glimpse of be John and Casey Thompson and over shown on defense. I thought, well, this is You know, let's get it done. Let's let's just get it done. But Wow, I was absolutely shocked about that. And then let me just say I was doubly shocked. Five hours later, when Steve Sarkisian got the job as head coach of the University of Texas, I was Flabbergasted about that decision. I am shocked at that decision. Let me let me preface. I wish him well, I wish him well, but I'm scratching my head over this higher. Steve Sarkisian is an excellent play caller for Alabama. But Jason, you and I and Vito could call place for Alabama with the players they have. Let's be brutally honest. Steve Sarkisian was an average head coach at Washington. He got fired for drinking at USC, and then he's been under the arms of Nick Saban. Ever since he was he was in Atlanta for two years as a ineffective offensive play caller on end of offensive coordinator So he gets this job and I'm a first inclination was y Steve Sarkisian. But I think I know why we could get in later. But I'm really, really shocked that this all went down. After I've been telling people I give this higher, maybe a B in baseball things. It's a It's a single runner headed the second base, but no, this is not a home run. I think Texas trades apples for apples. When they hired Tom Herman. They got the former offensive play caller for Urban Meyer. Now Texas gets the play caller from Nick Saban. And here we go again. And one other thing. I know I'm dominating. Not good for you. Let me just say this. It's finally and listen. I've been follow along or football a long time. Texas is a mid level program. Jason. It's not an elite program anymore. We're not an elite program anymore. I hate to say, and I fought callers and people saying You let the outside influence the inside of the 40 acres. And you know what? I fought that enough off that, But you know what? They're right. This program is dominated by rich moose tres That's what it is, and rich boosters got what they wanted over the weekend. And part of me feels real sorry for Tom Herman getting lied to by the athletic department and those recruits getting lied to by the athletic department and the assistant coaches who now have to pack up and leave. White House tells Bolton his manuscript contains classified material, cannot be published

"Hey, the democratic race is getting more interesting.
