"Aw Oh so this could probably be actually jared. Aj a serial killer you haven't heard of as well. Are you familiar with Ed Kemper Aj. I can't I'd say the name rings a Bell Jared Minehunter. Okay yes as a result of mind hunter. I'm very familiar with that. Kemper for some of you. It might still count as a serial. Oh you haven't heard of mind hunter. You're for sure familiar with Ed Kemper as he's one of the serial killer show by the way it's it's seen was fantastic season to kind of fell off a little a bit of a letdown. I haven't made the opposite from I've heard the opposite for people to the latest season too much more which is a different strokes for different different folks Scott Hanson Chris Hansen Jim Henson Jim Walker but yeah edd. Kimber is a fantastic The Guy who replays the representation of Ed Kimber on that show is unbelievable winning Academy Award for that I or an Emmy you don't an Academy Award for TV. That's weird that I consider Netflix more cinematic than TV. What is wrong with you. Shut up. Oh you wouldn't have served argument to make but no I. I said the same thing we're talking about. This guy has to win a fucking emmy for this. This is unbelievably terrifying. I feel like I'm sitting in a room with an actual serial killer. Ed Kemper is very well known after mind hunter he pull up a little bit information on him for you here the demand first of all gigantic 6-foot-9 Matej huge human being if you're gonNA cereal I'd prefer the UB small in stature for the love of God because the thing I don't need is like the shadow your shadow the approaching me as you come to murder me looming over your head want it to be smaller or how about this when I'm inside the shower and I see if somebody entered the bathroom and I see their figure yeah. Let it be like a smaller. I wouldn't say it was in trouble. He was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic was mentally ill and he was sentenced to a State Hospital for the criminally insane at that age age out at twenty one. Obviously things didn't go well the State Hospital. When he got out of twenty one after convincing psychiatrists he was rehabilitated and basically what that did it taught him how to come off as non-threatening will also sociopaths yeah? He used the State Hospital where most serious Coz has an opportunity. You need to learn how to be a killer so he came out and as a six foot nine guy it takes a lot to come off as non-threatening he learned how to do that and he volt from there and he was picking up young female hitchhikers and luring them news vehicle and driving them to secluded areas and then murdering them then he would take their corpses back to his apartment to be decapitated dismembered and then he would have sex with them their dead bodies after he cut off the head and all the limbs yeah. I guess he didn't want them looking at him while he was doing this this stuff too. I mean that's Ed had serious issues yeah. He'd here's the crazy story okay the reason we're talking about about this disturbing human being it turns out. Ed Kemper after he was incarcerated. Address caught for all this shit right. They've done bestsellers. They've done textbooks. The Audible Sigh Yeah Science Fiction Westerns Children's books cooks cookbooks mysteries Ed Kemper personally spent over five five thousand hours in the recording booth and had more than four million feet of tape to his credit as an audio book narrator them several hundred audiobooks have been narrated by the serial killer Ed Kimball including the glass key petals on the wind flowers in the Attic Merlin's Asmir. The rosary murders thinks and even star wars. I don't know what any of those were before star. We don't either. I was like it's one of my favorite favorite epistolary. Now you know jared. I was reading flowers in the attic last night and I was thinking to myself. This is such a beautiful voice reading reading. I wasn't reading. I I was having it read to me. It was such a beautiful voice. I was like this this man. He's just so peaceful. It was at Kemper Damn. I'm just kidding crazy. I wasn't listening to it that it happened. You haven't upon it while reading one of your books but can you imagine don't you feel like Ed Campers. "Then he talked about this later in a prison interview incredibly casually like you just talking about his favorite memory playing football or something he said, there is a wonderful moment a divine moment when I had this guy so fucked up, it's unbelievable. He says, there's a wonderful moment divine moment, when I have my hands around a young girl throats, I look into her eyes. I see a certain light spark suddenly go out only those who kill know what? I mean, the moment of death is enthralling an exciting just smiling as he says that man just truly did not give a single fuck about taking human life meant nothing to him. Never spoke of feelings of remorse or guilt about any of the killings. Just talked about how much he loved it. Just you know, openly admitted he truly enjoyed it. Complete sociopath, zero empathy got fourteen years, right? Wow. Talk about that later, my some criminals. I call who have studied Lopez speculate that since he felt never felt a sense of powers child due to repeated violations from authority figures that he killed his victims in order to take some control back in his life. He was no longer the victim. No longer the play. He was the predator. He decided who felt pay now. Right. He took painting flipped it. Some also think he was symbolically killing his mother over and over again violently a racing. One woman after. Another from the world girls who had never get to grow up and be the mother he had Colombian criminal psychiatrist Dr Maria Helena to heal said of Lopez one of the reasons he said he killed him was because they were poor. Maybe he tried to stamp out the weakness this allowed him to feel stronger bigger. There was a moment for him to be big men echoes of she could till their Lopez relish killing his victims. So that he would so much. He would wait until daylight to choke them to death, even if he had kidnapped them in the evening the night before because he wanted to watch the life leave their bodies. He's like it's like he's a fucking character of evil. He'd also forced them to endure night of terror before they died that morning. He later said at sign a first light. I would get excited I forced the girl into sex and put my hands around her throat when the sun rose, I would strangle her it was only good if I could see her eyes. I never killed anyone at night. It would have been wasted in the dark the cell the composure the people at the prison had to have had two notches. In a moment of weakness. Pull out a gun mid quote like that and just shoot his Falk Indica dick off and just let him die in some prison cell, while death was usually quick some girls didn't immediately die and he was forced to continue strangling them after they regained consciousness. It took them between five and fifty minutes today. He added sometimes I had to kill them all over again. They never screamed because they didn't expect anything would happen. They were innocent. He lived for these kills. He he was like dude obsessed with hunting, but he hunted kids, and he wasn't done with them when they were dead either. After he killed his victims. Lopez would play with their bodies, but not sexually not usually. Anyway, he would play with them like like a kid plays with dolls he'd host imaginary tea parties sit in the single mass grave with several bodies of his young victims propped up around him. He told pretend conversations with them saying my little friends like to have company. So maybe he's a little bit crazy like game. I often put three or four girls in a single hole and talk to them. It was like having a party. But after a while because they could move I got bored and went looking for new girls. Dear God, man. This guy this guy. Ed camper had gained would have had the most evil fucked up social club in history. Excuse me. Just Pedro Lopez talking to the dead bodies. Ed gained wearing their skin. Ed, Giverny Zappa lls, doing all kinds of horrible stuff with their heads. Police did notice missing persons reports were piling up, but like many brokenhearted parents they believed the young girls have been the victims of sex trafficking, and they failed to investigate the disappearances, sadly, girls disappeared from villages and families homes..

And at the point of near exhaustion near collapse. I just said to hell with it and called it all off, and quote, it's confession likely held some social value as well. A study published in the journal of personality, titled public confession and forgiveness tested. How people reacted to different scenarios while playing games in one experiment. Positive perceptions of the cheaters character and personality. Ed campers crimes could hardly be considered a game. But he confessed before anybody even knew a crime had been committed people tend to look more fondly on those who confess even the case of serial murderers. It explains why the cops initially thought he was joking. Of course, when the truth was revealed, the Pueblo police department sent out the word the coed killer had finally been caught at story swept the nation. And when Ed finally went to trial. Everybody tuned in to hear the verdict during the core proceedings. Ed got a hold of some razor blades and attempted to puncture an artery in his wrist. Ed watched the news as it spread and colleges warned their students to stop hitchhiking. However, many of them didn't listen for the next few months ad continued to pick up hitchhikers waiting for his opportunity to strike again. He remembered several of the women he picked up talking to him about the serial killer asking him who he thought the killer was Ed said that anytime a woman brought up the serial killings. They got a free ride. He didn't explain why he would let these women go. He only said. That he couldn't touch that. With a ten foot pole. It's possible that Ed was dealing with some level of subconscious. Shame about his behavior. According to a study published in the journal of treatment and prevention titled the roles of shame and guilt in hyper sexual behavior. Shame and guilt. Quote, have contrasting complementary relationships related to the maintenance of hyper sexual behavior and the motivation to change unwanted practices, and quote, essentially when another person brought up ED's actions, he felt some level of shame that prevented him from acting out his darkest impulses. This would also explain why during his actual murders. He couldn't stand it. When his victim suspected he was trying to kill them before. He actually did. Of course, whatever shame may have felt it didn't stop him from killing completely. And the bay area grew ever more fearful of the coed killer, the university of California..

"The look in the field retains a very fit as static of high contrast frames of very purposeful use of depth the field very methodical camera work right lotta hit not nearly any handheld dear subject stays in the center of frame the cameras move very deliberately and it's gorgeous jonathan graaf is the star he played king george in hamilton if you wanna see how johnston's graf is wonderful in the series but he's definitely hiding his speed as it were because he plays kind of a straitlaced fbi man i would recommend that if you would like eight minutes of pure joy watch jonathan graf at a fundraiser singing and performing anything goes with the dancers from the broad while anything it is i will spend my whole life aspiring to be as generous lee is generously competent and and delightful in doing something physical as he is in that dance mom my my i've i've spent more time that i probably care to admit trying to isolate the tutoring laugh from the end of they'll be back in the last one the the dominant s and and because i think that would make such a such an amazing horrible ringtone most obnoxious ringtone firing live every diamond rings happy wow elsa bummed out but yeah oh minehunter aldo involved a key character mind is at kemper a famous what's called the khoat killer real person i believe the story is inspired by i i get have not done the research to how much of the series is based on reality but ed campers a real killer of women and he's character in the movie and i've seen some footage of the real at kemper talking and it's kind of amazing how well they did so and the the premises it's about profile or it's about profile it is about the burgeoning understanding from the fbi that there are such a thing as a serial killer concerts and advisor succeeds it's the late seventy seven but it's about how it it's really about.

"Right he would much rather at least in beauty show played golf than talk to serial killers which is something i find highly relatable yes i mean i hate golf but i would much rather do michael for leisure activity to that yeah i don't think i'd ever wanna talk to a co serialkiller under any setting uh and the actor i'm i'm blake got his name right now but i mentioned him in the review the postal up rocks is mourning who plays ed camper oh my god he is amazingly good it's just that huge enormous which he asked weakest kemper was a giant which is the way he uses his physicality at his voice and how he moves at how he is sort of always intimidating even when he's being completely geneal at opened with the fbi it's it's remarkable performance yeah that's the kind of thing that's more terrifying to me that like some guy with a flashlight under his face telling those stories just the person who you know is a horrible monster who is quiet and polite and friendly but you never know at any minute like there are a couple scenes where they are talking to where he's talking to the fbi agents where he'll walk up in very casually say oh like when you grab someone by the throat to kill them you do it like this and he'll put his hand around someone's throat and you're watching it saying i know he's not gonna kill the guy probably these are two main leasing whenever but you're still watching it going like.

"At times kind of painful kinda just i don't think we needed them and the in the first two episodes there were kind of a lot of those and i saw those not just like a yeah no but once we kinda kick into the investigation you get episode three episodes four i was definitely what about you pull the show is based on a nonfiction book odds i was cold written by the guy who's the basis for the jonathan graf character and they decided to while their cases are all real other dealing with actual actual serial killers like ed camper the two the two fbi agents are fictionalized they have different names different back stories i think in part to give the show a little bit more licensed to demonstrate how the work is weighing on them to have some career consequences they get with up spoiling too much they both get into some trouble with the fbi later in the season that i don't believe part of the real story so gives a show little more licensed that way sorry but you can tell which parts are fictionalized in which are not because the parts richard stemp sitting and talking to a real zero killer and asking him how he did what he did and why are so fascinating and so specific and so blunt and that you get sorry i i swallowed bug here it's not good now i'm finau venue get um of him dealing his girlfriend or the whole the calorie character he has a son with developmental disabilities and that is not stuff is not so great i mean the most interesting relationship any of the three leeds have is and you haven't gotten uttered yet is editorial at a stray cat and you never actually feet a cat.
