WTOP national security correspondent JJ Green joins us live from Krakow and details about this and and Sean these weapons are what Ukraine needs to get to the next stage of this war they need to get through what's going to be the second winter of this war they for need weapons the winter as well and so the Pentagon is sending them mentioned as you a quarter of a billion dollars more in assistance including weapons like rounds of ammunition mentioned rocket systems missile systems and also they're doing other things like providing line sweeping equipment and they desperately need that in the south and east because that's a part of the reason why the counter -offensive has been taking such a long time talking with officials in Poland today they say they won't judge Ukraine on the slow nature of this counter -offensive because they recognize how difficult that work is and these weapons that the US is sending to Ukraine should help them to speed things up but at the very least will help them get through what could be a very difficult winter fighting Russia again. Reporting live from Krakow, Poland, JJ Green, WTOP News. JJ, you've got briefings today from several Poland's top military and intelligence leaders. They are seeing the effects of this. How do they see this war going at this point? Sean and Anne, Poland's national security advisor, a top defense official and the cabinet official responsible for information security are all focused on one thing now, a stark rise in Russian attacks Poland on or inside Poland or near Poland. Case in point, I took a train from Warsaw to Krakow tonight in eastern Poland, not terribly far from the Ukrainian border but in the last week there have been multiple reports of sabotage attacks over the last week. Now, this is pretty minor stuff. They've slowed up the trains, but Jack Siwera, who is the national security advisor, told me they're seeing increasing numbers of Russian attempts to conduct these kinds of attacks and much more serious things which could lead to loss of life. So they believe this war is going okay. They believe though that Russia is stepping up its hybrid platform warfare and that's a part of the reason why they need these weapons. That's also a part of the reason why they need for its allies. Ukraine needs its allies to continue to remain strong and resolute in helping them they need them to fight Russia to weather the storm they're in right now. Back to you. And what bruce arians would do with him but knowing the doldrums that the franchise had been an was kind of window dressing. Did you really believe you had something here. At first it has super bowl team as first year. I knew they'd be better You know they've been playoffs and thirteen years. So i think you knew. They were a playoff team at that point. But i didn't expect this kind of success. I you know what i said consistently was that if you get in the playoffs and tom brady is your quarterback. There's a pretty good history there so I didn't think they would make good on it so quickly. but put together force four grade playoff games and they've got a championship to support. And you think about the money. They spent on those big names on the defensive line. They drafted the kid white. I wanted the raiders to pick with the very next pick. He was a revelation. And i think a lot of people really not until the playoffs.
