"Anything quite as big a price, but I'm going to put up noble style as the best bet in the gym crack really, really like this two year old. And on the same theme, local dynasty in the first day for Charlie appleby and William Buick as well. This means we have a lucky 63. Because I'll give you two as well. So we got we've got 6 horses. My best bet is Trinity and C I'm taking that one. Happy days. And we're getting 60, ten to one is still 16s available with coluche. Take it. And the next best is Tuesday. I flirted with the idea of putting a drug in symbol but let's make the lucky 63 Tuesday. So there you go. That is, you're lucky 63 for the week at York will update you Thursday. Ben thoroughly enjoyed your input. It's great having the two of you on at the same time. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Where can final for long podcast listeners read your expert content? "Over one of my 6 trips, a class two level and below. You get a formal four one one one four. So three wins from 5 and one placed ever. That's all three of our clear wins. So she's going to have conditions to suit. I still think she's got more. I give from 97 a mark of 97 and one mile 6. I mean, she was a huge run from our last time I know June cup. And I think she'll improve upon it going back up to one mile 6. So in she core. In Chico, for Ben, Mark, what about you? Yeah, I'm going to go with one of the old stages in here. I think is massive value at the moment. And he will get in, I think, is last on the list at the moment. You can Glen. The old favorite. He's a horse, obviously we know plenty about. He's a 9 year old. Now he's an old stager, but he ran really well at Goodwood last time. And I don't think he quite got the brakes to be honest. I think he'd have finished a little bit closer to troll him and amazing. He beat me a length and a quarter in the end, having been denied a clear run. And what's most appealing to me about you can Glen is that I don't think he's in much worse form now than he was this time last year, but this time last year, he went into the ebook off a mark of a 116. He's fully a stone now. He gets to race off a 102. And they got the tactics all around me, but last year as well. They made the running with him. He's a confirmed holder course. He's best coming through and with a pace to aim at. It's a no brainer for me to back in here each way a double figure price and a stern lower than he was this time last year. I think he makes tons of appeal in here. He's been cut from 16s this morning to 12s by kaluki. Super perhaps mark was having a word with them beforehand. And as for what was called an early run, it's only fair to then throw mark under the bus as well. And as for the Allen king horse in Chico, 25s for Ben about the torture of Galileo, I'm quite intrigued by ever present. Not just because he did as a monstrosity of a favor on his bumper debut when going in at 20 5 to one after kid Harrington talks him up on the final for long. Thank you very much for that case. You will always be a hero to the funnel for the podcast policy for that. But I got the impression that they were just lining them up for a big handicap with his comeback run. I got the impression that he wasn't with all due respect that he wasn't off a yard that day. Winner of that race, I think it's quite good. Periton. I'd ignore his defeat the other day. I think there's better to come from him. I think you have a president to take a big step forward. And we know he'll get in. He's 9th. I would love to see Yakuza rain in this race. There is not a hope in hell she gets in. She's currently 43rd. She needs a miracle. Max 22, so. Very intrigued by her, but she ain't going to get in. Hey, I get your money back if she doesn't. She's battled it out. And if you're not, if you don't get your money back, let us know. If there's a sports book out there that is settling it as a loser, if your horse gets battled to let us know and we will tackle that for you because that is happening more than it should. So ever present for me, as things stand, we'll update you again on Thursday. And in Chico, for Ben. And we got you can Glenn. For Mark. Which brings me to the key question. What is the best bet of the four days at York as things stand and maybe even the next best? Ben. Okay, I would go with parachute in that sky by handicap on Friday. I think Buick has been booked already as a statement of intent. So I'm going for partition. Second best, I would say, where are we at on nomadic empire on day one? Let's go. Right out of the gate. Yeah. No listen around from Ben. Mark Milligan, what have you got for us? Yeah, I can't come up with

"Stone as a juvenile affiliate getting all the allowances, but that's short. So I'm going to Christopher to got flotus with Sylvester de Sousa, who will be jetting off to Hong Kong pretty much right after this. Group one winner, highfield princess is a ten shot, cadmium, a ten shot after winning a Goodwood emirati Anna, 12s racial 14s and dragon symbol in the winners enclosure last time at 16 to one shot and we said not so long ago that if you just keep backing one of these in groupon company, eventually their turn will come and for that reason Ben, I will stick with dragon symbol at 16 to one with kooky, thank you very much. Who's your pick for the cool more wooden bass at non Thorpe stakes? I get the appeal of the front tuna market royal claim plan a queen. I can leave him at the prices. A quick trend before I go on my one 40 zero 51 hours finished in the top 5 in a class one race last time out, beat a normal and 5 lens. And it also previously run group level. Not on the field a little bit hopefully. IE sales at the front to get the not a huge point appealing to me outside of that. I landed on ebro river. You want a hot, we can finish stakes. Things, obviously, isn't quickly away the season probably. Brain sparked a former style lifetime elicited Chester and a tutor of run since then from that race are both one second place princess of want to elicit a pony fourth place tippy tools, one of valuable honey carpet gems for the form weeks sold enough. Now, solder enough for him to win an anthrop, not sure, but he does have a class. He does our group one winning form on his CV. I think he's interested in our price and our risk for I'm not sure many other interest in our big place. So I would swing over. I love that pick. I absolutely love it because I think you have to be creative. 33 zero one. Let's go. I do remember talking to Hugo Palmer the day he was running a Newcastle, which was Northumberland play day. And he had been disappointing with his defeated at chantilly. But he was delayed for 6 hours. And Hugo Palmer went off on one of our Brexit, said it's an absolute disaster. And Siri doesn't understand either. But he went off and won about Brexit and the transporting forces over to France and he said that he said, I don't really want to use it as an excuse, but he couldn't have run to his level, given how transportation went. And he wasn't too pleased with the run at Newcastle, but he was right back and forth with Chester. And yeah, maybe he got the one on the right that day. But he's got the back glass. He's a groupon winning juvenile. And you go power sources are informed and he does well there. So I love it. I absolutely love it. 33 to one for Ben with ebro river. What about you, Mark? Yeah, I think it's a race where you've got to take on the two at the head of the market, haven't you? You've just got to regardless of the potential that both royal claim and the platinum queen

"It's quite a strong chance that the horse I like in here possibly doesn't get in. You'll need a few to come out. But if he is an intended runner and he does get in, I find some Prescott secret box, absolutely fascinating. He's only had four rooms, the latest of which came over 400 days ago when he won a handicap at sundown off a mark of 76. Now, what I think makes this horse so fascinating is the fact that some art Prescott may well be willing to forgo a mark of 81 with this force and that anyone who knows some art Prescott's modus operandi would know that in an ideal world he'll mop up smaller handicaps left right and center with horses rated in the low 80s and will generally run up sequences with them. So if he was inclined to put this horse in a 100,000 pound handicap off a mark of 81 against forces that are rated sort of 105 downwards, I think we should sit up and take I think that's very telling. I think it's very telling indeed the two 25 Friday weatherbys Hamilton lonsdale cup sticks. For those of you who are jumps fans, I can confirm all Ferguson is coming back. And yes, indeed, we are doing another offer for the weatherby's jumps guide to follow. So that's in the works. We'll update you in the meantime. Pop quiz hotshots. Mark and Ben. "Royal whip, but I actually thought that was a nice comeback. Especially when a brine was warning everybody, he needs this. He badly needs it, and he's going to improve an awful lot from us. So I don't know what you're looking for. And I think the 5 to one over the ice champion sticks in the 16s with the arc is more than pleasing. So Tuesday for Mark and I Ben, are you going to burst our bubble? No, I can actually bike up or on a train or front a no brain is one to Yorkshire oaks, 6 times since 2006. As well as three place horses from a pool of 25 hours, all 6 of those winners were three year olds, 6 or more clear starts and had previously won a group one or group two level. If you look at all the stats and the Brian horses that met those stats, you are foreign wine in the race of one one 5 one one one one. So Brian horses are run unless qualified in those fields they managed to start 6 from 7. Choose the efforts will start. I hope to you as I mentioned on here about my worries about the sensory apps from aux forum. I probably also added I just want to use Guinea style as well. I'm not sure that's worked out fantastically well. Positive and negative I choose to bought this is the type of horse that nobody wins the race with. So yeah, I didn't expect in a big drawing from our like you guys at the very least or tell us a bit more exactly where she's at, but yeah, I think she has to be in the equation. I'll finish the head in the back and I do get it on smart search. Operators abroad, great ones, not your most fashionable races, maybe but she's been doing it. She's on a 6 run on B and streak. But worth noting theodos have been the call in recent renewals of this race, 7 or 7 years been won by three year old older horses and not peed of time are one from 22 in the past 8 years. Only enable has broke the seed or struggled on the race. Well, I'll finish the match up. Not sure. But I do also have a superstar. Or wherever you call it before. It was a superstar killer. Killer stuff. You either one will do. Magical lagoon sealed. She actually interests me the most. She impressed missions being stepped up to one mile four trips. One bull starts banging some fairly high cash and speed figures in the process. But why is your character my eye? The record of horses won the Irish oaks and then rocked up in the Yorkshire rocks. Outstanding record. Since 2009, they have a record of first first first second, first, second, second, first, first, first. So 7 winners, three seconds from ten qualifiers. Could make that 11 8 from 11 hopeful. I think she's like a great chance. Phenomenal record of either shorts when I was then winning New York she looks. Again, well, Mark said about who she beat an arm up, but I think she's a bundle for going up to this trip. And I said, killers start superstar. 7 from ten, three seconds. I would nearly play the reverse forecast. Tuesday, magic lagoon, given the record of the classic courses, because I suspect the petite coco is going to be supported in the market and helping east as a short price favors. It's currently 15 days. So if we're getting 41, 72, four to one about Tuesday and magical laguna. Take a swing at the reverse forecast. But I'm pretty confident about Tuesday, but you as the as the cover will play less. Very briefly and then I'll start with you the tempest forwards live on ITV and of course I'm racing TV as well. It's the Henry Cecil gallery listed race golden lyra is currently favorite three to one for William haggas and Thomas. Frankie victory, John and the garden team up with horses by Dubai out of manjarin. You can pronounce that name yourselves. Haskey for Ralph Beckett and Ryan Moore and time lock for Harry roger Charles and William Buick on board, a daughter frankl out of a do Bowie mayor. And named tamla because she's out of time chaser. Any of you on the listed senator Cecil race? It's a bit of a scratchy sort of race to dig into on the trends plus 15 age three or four does not know how many this year. One 15 one one of the last four starts. She wants some recent reform. Too many. Not something that I'm overly enthused about, but on the pace side of things, only one of the last 15 years won by a FrontRunner, hold up horses of one 9 of the I 15. So actually, you want something to be coming from off the pace, I don't have any strong thoughts or by which one I'd be biking, possibly won't be playing too much in a spot. Yeah, you want to hold up horse seems to be the call

"Decent pace. I think he's going to be a good double figure odds. I love that. 11 to one currently with kooky sportsbook, Hollywood, roger variant, priano in this four. Let's move on to the Thursday, shall we? The sky but leather sticks. So meditate came out today, which is a bit of a shame, but we do get much who is one of the favorite horses of the season for Mark and I so I had been so roar back in the big time radars on the board 92 second favorite dramatizes obviously favors. Cardboard committed to coming to this race instead of going for the big sprints and the royal ascot winner is your 11 to ten favorite currently for Thursday's opener on ITV and racing TV. Lady Hollywood a 7 to one shot for Alison and Russa Ryan, Matilda. Is a 9 shot in kinter for George Bowie and William Buick is an 11 to one shot. Again, spoiler alert, we already know that you love the juvenile races. 6 for lungs. Ben, what have you got for us? Not again. Hey Siri, skip. I'll keep saying this, but no, no, I'm fine. I've got trend for you. Let us know. I just activated everybody's series. I'm really sorry. Winners of this one last time, like, no huge surprise. It's not going to chop the watch. But yeah, unsurprisingly, for a race of this nature, you do want something. Ideally coming off a win. I might chop a few other bit, make sure and half. Dramatize, I'm not going to be biking Emmett 5 foot four. And if I am not going to be back in anything, but let's pretend I was. I mean, I wouldn't be back. I'm not actually too sure about the Queen medal mistakes form. 21 runners for winners, two placed. It's okay. It's not outstanding. It's not really a bike. So it's nice to start I'm just unsure. If I was a dramatized fund, no, I said I was a two year old fund. I don't think I'd be quite happy to go against favor. Until he himself boxed up for all that race. I think that's very fair. Ben, come on, man. Until she backs up, my apologies. I'm just not sure where the formula is. So people want to take it on with what I'll leave up to Mark. I mean, traditionally, mark the Albany would be a stronger race than the Queen Mary, but it's a good point that Ben is making about the form of Queen Mary. Because really embedding, you're always looking for a horse that is a dubious or too short a favorite that you can confidently take on. And look, Trump's house was a great winner at royal Alaska. But horses improve physically, they mature, they can catch up and it's possible that my own reading on the Albany is that that was a stronger race than the Queen Mary, and I would I'm surprised that Marge is the brush she is. I was surprised that coluche were going 92, and I was surprised they could get that price. The thing that was stopping me backing her when she was 7 was meditate. And the big fan of that horse, I believe she's going to go for the debutante stakes instead. I think that's the plan with her. I'm pretty confident about marsh here. I mean, she's a horse that we've covered on all three of her starts. I really like that performance against the zoo last time. Yes. Ray Dawson leaned on her, but I still think she wins. And she's the one I'm with, particularly at the price. But what's your own reading on and dramatize on that royal ass God form? Yeah, I think that I think the form is as Ben said, I think it's just okay. There's a few winners come out of there, the platinum queen. She was back in the rook. She's going to run in an unsought on Friday. She will win, which is going to run in the north. On Friday, dramatize was quite a convincing winner on the day, the time of the race was okay. I think she's a good two year old without being an outstanding two year old. We've talked about Marge plenty of times this season on the podcast. She's a real favorite of ours, isn't she? And like you say, that meditate form is strong form. I think meditate is one of the best two year olds for these. We've seen this season and Marge came out back to that form. When she beat resume, I'm going to head in a slightly different direction

"To be biking them at crazy odds, halfway, watch them try to stuff and then get compared to Franco. Which I have to say, just by B by Eid. I think frankel's a different pie. Don't take away from what he's doing by turning compare them to somebody else, just like I'm being himself. Enjoying four years, I hope he wins for continue the show. But at the prices, I actually want to have a native trail. Let's go. So he posted a career best on pro forum speed figures, which I know you use yourself. For many years. So post a clear best to make an eclipse. That's as fast try beyond a mile. I was also the best last time I speed figure posted by any of this field. It was a figure that was only a fraction shorter by its personal best speed figure. So pauses and I say, no, obviously, by using our traders trip before, he could get his previous speed figures and go, yeah, watch this. But maybe not, we don't know until we see it, we don't know. So did on speed figures improve for that step up and trip. And I think this slightly easier finish will be a better sign down finish for a master. Certainly about fit over this trip. He's getting behind the 7 points from the rest of the field. The prices are taking a crack on. I'm not going to be shot and go, oh, no, I didn't see you. Well, but you know, I think if trail has positives on a site and yeah, actually, I'm going to decide with the prices. I think it's very easy to just look at this and go, oh, of course, but you'd win. But maybe he doesn't. And maybe this is a repeat of the king George all over again, we're sketching our heads and going, I mean, look, I happen to be on air with Martin dwyer and he said beforehand how exactly Paul driver was going to run, which made it pass on back. Sorry about this. It made it very easy to back pile driver then. Because if look, if he lost, it's a 25 to one shot gun at the window, what are you going to do? But if it was to go and win, he's a group one winner who's adding another group on to his CV. If paid wins this, none of us are surprised. But he's 5 to two on. I don't have any interest in vacuum. I would love to see him win the race for all the reasons that Ben just said. I actually said to William Hagan and I didn't know how William was going to take this. I don't like the comparisons with Franco. And I use the exact same phrase Ben just use led by eat. And William agreed with that. He said, he's not very comfortable with it either. He said he is very grateful for the fan base, and he wonders if it will still be there in a year's time. All these people coming up to him and going, how does he eat when he's gone from the art? But he's very grateful for him. He loves the horse, but he doesn't like those comparisons. I hope he wins it. I hope he retires unbeaten. But this is where Mark may very well call them in white coats. I can envisage a scenario where high definition gets an easy lead and just keeps on going. And this is a massive upset. To grew to getting beaten in the Yorkshire rogues. Funny things happen at York. I love the race course. It's one of my favorite. I would love to be there this week, the intention was to be there. It's easier to do talk sport from home. It's just easier to do that. But Mark and I were going to meet up. We're going to have the crack. We were going to do a thing with listeners as well. Do we show beforehand? We will make that happen at some point and another race course possibly at York, but it's just not going to happen this year. But I can envisage a scenario where we're running more gets an easy lead in high definition and he just keeps on going. And at 40s, unwilling to put 20 yo yos on him that I might never see again and most likely will never see again. But if I get if I put 25 down on them and I'm getting a bag of sand back, or one of the greatest upsets in racing history, I'm pretty pleased with myself. So that's what I'm going to do. Mark Milligan, your assessment of the Joe mons international stakes. How the worm has to go in by three three or four months. I definition was he who must not be named. How dare you? "Rubbish. Absolute rubbish. You are, you're a farce and sure as he knows nothing. You are not gonna achieve her life. You actually if you're big and won't tell you you're gone. You are one of these checkout matches. Two thirds going to come. The colonized boot maker spaces on this channel, right? You couldn't have too bananas to a banana with a birthday dress. And stop you was talking rubbish. Write the shows over boys. Thank you very much. You said you right now for you give it up. Oh, it's a pleasure to talk with William Darby. We'll be talking to the game on racing live on talks for two. Oshin Murphy is going to be here on Monday to review all of the action, but the men who have the job of previewing it and identifying the winners are time forms Mark Milligan. Good afternoon. Welcome back, my friend. And from narrow the field, one of the best in the game, along with Mark, mister Ben akin, welcome back to the show, my friend. Hello, how are you? In good form in good form. I'd say hello, how are you? As if we haven't been I did this last week as well. As if the three of us haven't been talking for the last half an hour. It's like those U.S. talk shows, oh hey, how are you? It's crazy. You were talking for an hour before you did rehearsals and never mind all that nonsense. The boys aren't good for them. I'm a good form and we're looking forward to breaking down York. One of the great things that Ben brings to the show is the pace and draw analysis, although you did warn beforehand that the draw bias is not quite as severe as that at Goodwood or at royal ascot, but what have you got for us ahead of the one 50 live on ITV and racing TV, ground is good to firm. I spoke at William haggis for talk sport two and has alluded to in the interview with William Derby. He did say that Dubai owner won't take his chance unless he's in the going, same applies to Hamish and the abort Sari already been. So what's your current thoughts on what's your current thoughts on the going and with 22 runners over 5 and a half furlongs? What kind of or is there a draw bias to look forward to? Yeah, going, I think I would expect it to stay beautiful. It doesn't legalize massive or any of us to some a little bit of rain may be forecast tonight, but generally means knowing. Are we surprised if it's good to form? But we'll see. There's not so long to be better on let's say that. But the 5 and a half for a long handicap that start things off. A big field straight track blast kind of race I like taking into. Thanks for your straight track sprint races. Not really places like consider the massive track bases at play, but I did have a dig around. I want to see if this starts to bring out the light. Always get to check your thoughts. I went back to 2019 whilst the seasons plus what we've already had this season. I like to handicaps on New York straight track that I had 14 or more runners. So straight track, big field covered a charges, if you will. There were I may qualify as a we are for a four qualifying races. And as normal, I split them by the draw. And we have quarter one produced 15 winners. So 34% of the owners are too produced for emulators for a 2% of the owners. Or three, ten owners, 23% of owners and core four, so the higher end, they produce only 5 owners, 11% came from 11% of winners came from quarter four. So it's a small negative against those drawn and core four high, a bit of a positive to strong and the bottom half. So course one and two. I have to say, so that bias has potentially begun to readdress itself, I think. This season is three of those 5 core four winners came this year 2022. If you just look at 2022 in isolation, you see a much more balanced to where the winners have been drawn. And that leads me to think where the pace is coming from is the best or entities races. When we can force our drug and truth on this straight tracks sprints, that is kind of how I approach these large field street track races unless there's some real obvious short term bias that is weird as head, watering, rain, wherever. I don't think that's happened at York, it's not something I'll be looking at on a trial basis, but I will want to look out where the pace is coming from. So in this race, I have the likely pace coming from stalls to bergerac. 9 mountain peak 11 live in the dream 13 ancient times 16 gudai 21 the core gold and 22 king of stars. So playing evaluates likely behind this, a good coverage right across the draw spectrum. So I would say middle to high reach to hold most of the pace. Bergerac is only obvious piece on the first 8 stalls and that might just give an edge so strong in the top half. Fine margins admittedly. But we do not have the field using the draw, but I do, then middle to high, we'd be where I'm looking at. Rough day maybe ten plus there are Chancellor and may not have enough pace, the Emma. On more standards of risk trends are used to catch my eye, all previous runners of this were coming off a bake off 25 days or less. And all had at least 12 previews UK Irish clear starts. So a decent minimum amount of runs already on our CV. Those two trends along with looking at military hydron horses and others a few too. The core goal thus on fire, king of stars, Montage, d'Orsay, and nomadic empire. The core gold half the year I mentioned possibly considered your record over 5 and a half to 6 for a long series impressive. The hard 6 wins from 9 to place efforts, only once as you fail to hit the top two in those 9 starts. You don't know if two points lower than the Mark Q one race from in 2019. But it's near the head of the market just now. So it's not really been missed. But the other one from my shortlist I like is actually the complete opposite end of the band. And that is normal magic empire. He is now in his prime months form of C wins, three places from 9 starts in August to September. And that's actually obviously clear one. So this is the time of unicom's life. If you're David Mara in these straight track York handicaps with four in a more runners, you're going to find him with 6 winners from 85 runners and 15 places. Doesn't sound too good, but paying up a little and you will find that all 6 women are as close to a sea race where aged four 7, it starred an SP of 41 or bigger. I apply those to the middle stats. That gives you 6 when I was from 19 qualifiers. For 18% sake and I might have 237 points profit to exchange SP. The women please start to own a ten from 19 to 50% of them when our place no matter empire official starts, Israel drawn, is below his last four day Mark. As I said, he's in his prime months. This is when I expect him to be due to women. And I am going to quite tasty places.

"That's excellent, William, and it's great to hear that you're doing that as well, because it must be a frustrating time to be the CEO of a race course. Given everything that's going on, I have to commend William magazine because I was kind of bashing the BHA and he said, well, it's not just the BJ. It's the horseman. There's other factors as well in all of this. But of course, the BHA are the easiest ones to point at. But when you have declining declining attendances to the Premier League. But declining attendances at race courses, prize money, let's face it as a joke and we've been saying that for years on the final four long and on racing live on talksport you as well. And the horse population is decreasing, which is resulting in lower number of runners and races. We're having two and three runner races on a far more regular basis. I sent out a tweet on Friday night about Saturday's racing. There were 48 races, only 22 of them had each way betting one, two, three. Now, tomorrow, for John international day, you've got just two races that have 6 runners, but everything else is full, which is terrific. That's great to see. That wasn't happening at Goodwood, and it's not happening on a regular basis left right and center either. It's a troublesome time for racing, and it must be frustrating to be a CEO. It certainly challenging post pandemic for I think for any race course for any leisure business and York is a tourist city and we've got jorvik and the railway museum and lots of visitor attractions across the city. And they're all, you know, this is not a racing bubble thing. They are all seeing challenging, challenging time as clearly it's a challenging time for certainly the British economy and leisure spend and utility bills and all those sorts of things. That's not an excuse. It's just a context. And in terms of prize money, we've invested a record amount of prize money both in this week and across our season. And are trying our best to ensure that we offer good value for money as we say whether that's four pounds for a poor pie on site or 12, as I say, 15 pounds to come into the crop tower enclosure. And we're trying to offer good value for money great entertainment and great racing racing action. We're delighted with the field sizes. We work very hard to do all weekend to produce good fields for this week. And as you say, by their nature, some of the group races will have lesser runners. But by goodness, I think we've got 90 odd runners on Wednesday and a 103 on Thursday at the moment. Now some of them may not run because of because the ground conditions, but I accept your point that they're challenges in the sport, but with glorious Goodwood and royal Asuka and Irish champions weekend, we have some fantastic highlights of our sport. And we need to ensure that we promote and fund and accentuate the great stuff as well as addressing the structural stuff that you mentioned. Yeah, I think to focus on the good is a very important thing that we should do an awful lot more of. There is too much racing. And William haggis has said that there's numerous trainers have come out and said it as well. Is that if you share too? I mean, you know, there was the BHA proposal to remove 300 races from the Fitzgerald list. We supported that as the large independent race courses. So that's good with us at York test inebriated in there. And we as the large independence majority supported that. Alongside others on both sides of the industry, but that didn't hold sway and we're still working to ensure that we have the right shape and size of fictionalist for the horse population and the prize money and that's something we are an active player in alongside others. It's clear that the race program is not matching the horse population at the moment because as you say, there are too many races that are not meeting success criteria and are failing in terms of not having enough runners. So we as racing need to do more to ensure that we do have the right race program, absolutely. We need to do that. And we are working with others to try and make sure that happens. We certainly have the right program for this week. You're currently massively over entered for the sky bet ybor. We've got 48 for a maximum field of 22. I know where the magazine is keen to run gassy. I think get it on my screen. I think Hamish is going to come out, so careful with all bets on Hamish. If there is a little bit of ease in the ground, Tom mark on wants to write gassy, if not, he'll be on board candleford. But he's very excited about it. You've got a big Irish contender as well in Earl of Tyrone and patty too many sending one over who looks to have a monstrous chance, but if gassy can come back to form, I think he was a little bit unlucky at hey Doc. It's a really quality renewal Joseph O'Brien's going to a royal ascot runner up there as well, or a third place finisher. It's a very, very high quality renewal of the bor. If the German international is our best race, the sky by Igor is our most famous race. The richest flat handed captain Britain, 500,000 pounds, and the quality of the race has increased over the years as we've invested in it and promoted it and trainers and supported it. And as you say, a really competitive handicap we bought a new bay a new bespoke stores our own stores so we could get 22 runners in the race. As opposed to 20 previously and there's a real excitement about the race this year. We've also added something called the sky back community sweepstake, whereby 22 charities in Yorkshire are associated with each of the runners in the sky by ebor at the draw stage and then the winning charity gets 20 grand and so on with a 40 year old grand in the prize pot to spread amongst the charities. So there's lots going on to engage the community in the race. And support courses in the county and it's a race that, as I say, we're very proud of. And it always performs really well as a betting contest as a spectacle. I know this part of the rich history of your race course. And you get straddle various for one more go as well, because the talk was. That was going to be his final run. And I remember saying on talks to actually said, if he finishes second or third, I really hope they keep going with them because he was so good at York and doncaster last year. And his owner of Bjorn higson made a point of saying on ITV racing with Ed, will definitely go to York. We're not going to doncaster the prize money's rubbish.

"Swine was, he was saying that that's not Morgan Freeman. I was very impressed with that. So I'll believe it is Emmett, and yeah, yeah, let's hope Morgan's listening. Or let's hope he's not as the case may be. Look, the job international is obviously the big race, the ebor is clearly the big race. But the highest rated race in the world is not much international. It's a race that I know you and the team have worked on for years and years and years and to be getting the highest rated horse in the world attempting ten furlongs for the first time must be some bars. What's the build up to the job going like? Yeah, it's hugely exciting, Emma, as you say, it's our flagship race, our richest race. We run at a million pounds. It's been the highest rated race in the world twice in the last decade, and obviously ten years since that amazing performance by frankel owned 2012 when it's Henry Cecil and everything associated with the late prince called it Abdullah. So it's a race that is dear to our hearts. And for the best horse in the race, the highest rated horse in the world to be running in our best race is a great honor in Australia. We're hugely looking forward to it. Remember the year after frankel one we had that epic where declaration of war came out on top, Queen Anne winner, Australia, Arabian Queen, causing a massive upset, postponed, was quality Ulysses roaring line. Japan and reya and last year's winner, Michelle. He doesn't look the same horse this year and I can't quite put my finger on why and perhaps he's running the eclipse may have been jocky or I think that was it's a bit harsh to David Egan is no longer associated, but look that's just the way things go. And James dawn is still on board John garston was very much of the mindset that James didn't really know him last time. But if he can come back to the horse he was, I mean, William haggis has already said it to me for an interview with talks for it. He said, we're in trouble if he's the horse he was last year. Yeah, he looked unbeatable last year, 6 fellows, a 6 length winner of the judgment international 2021, obviously won out in Saudi world's richest race and in Dubai, a group one out there. So he's a great horse when he's on for him. He's just missed the start, a couple of his last couple of races. It looked like my eyes. So I'm sure they've been working on that. And if he can crack the start, he might give an amazing rights. What's the ground like at York presently? Because in Ireland, we suddenly got this deluge of rain as it was sent to Yale for her beforehand. And you can sometimes become a little bit blinkered in Ireland about the ground. Still very much good to firm though in York right now. Yeah, yeah, it's lovely grand to be a candid and what we wish to going into our big, big meeting of the season. So it's nice good to find ground. We kept the moisture in the ground during the hot dry spell with our irrigation system. We just had 2.2 millimeters last night Monday night, which thunderstorms were rattling around, but we only caught a little sharp chair at the track. There is still a founder saw risk through Tuesday. We were talking Tuesday afternoon, so up until about midnight, Tuesday. There's a thunderstorm risk in the area. It doesn't feel like it at the moment. But if we were to miss those thunderstorms, we might just think about irrigating in the early hours in the morning ahead of racing on Wednesday, but nice, good to firm ground, perfect flat racing conditions for the summer. Am I right in thinking William having spoken to you for a talk sport a few months ago, I think it was for the Dante meeting that the drainage system that you have is world class. I know that that's very easy thing to say about a world class race course, but it genuinely is a world class training system. We did a huge amount of work. I think it was the biggest single drainage project on a British race called some put in 25 miles of drainage under the racing surface. And we keep working on the racing surface at York, it's an old glacial floodplain. So it's a very silty soil and we keep improving it. And yeah, we think it's a much different draining surface than before the track project in 2008 9. We're pleased with it. We've got a fantastic team who work on it all 365 days of the year to make it the best it can be for our flagship meeting. And have ticket sales been going? Tickets has been going really well, thank you, Emmett. It's sort of grandson of public general admission and cancer and tickets are well ahead of where we were in 2019. We've never sold as many tickets going into an evil festival as we have this year. However, what we have seen is two things going into this week. One, we've got a train strike in Britain on the Thursday in the Saturday, which is an inconvenience to staff and racegoers and everyone. Because we're such a rail connected city. And secondly, you know, we have experience in Britain, lots of people not coming up on the day and really we're impressing that we have got availability in all enclosures and all days that people do fancy coming along and seeing the best source in the world. 15 pounds for that wonderful clock tower enclosure, pay on the day cash flow card. Right on the winning post, it's a great facility and right through to counter stand. And one of the things that Declan Rick and I have spoken about on talk sport and that he play as well for that matter, mark here on the final furlong two is the lack of using a star race horse to promote racing. Declan brought this up on racing live ahead of the lock inch. He was looking at newbury and seeing what were they doing in terms of posters by eat, nothing. Roy lascaux did it to a certain extent. But you're doing it as well. You actually are saying, look, come see the world's highest rated horse. And you've only got time to run it out. You've only got two more times to see them. And William haggis did confirm to me. He's not going to go for the arc. Irrespective of what happens. This is the showpiece event for him. And then it's just one more roll of the dice. And he goes off to start. It is important to capitalize on a horse of his caliber. Fantastic, yes, fantastically so and is he saying, you know, this was Yorkshire was a birthplace of a thoroughbred wood two of the foundation stallions having stood at stud and 20 miles from the track. People up here really appreciate their quality horses. We've got a selfie wall with baid and stradivarius where you can stand holding the lead round of a photo a Photoshop over to your leading in the horse. There's a retired race horses from new beginnings trying to track the horse is very much the center not only of the racecourse, but of our business. We're a trust that focused on racing. That's all we do. And everything we make gets reinvested in sight. And from myself and anthe is through and through horse people, you know, it's a thrill that these great horses, whether that's by eidos stradivarius with his unbreakable record here or the thrills that we've got on the sky but he will with 22 horses running in the race. It's very much through the heart of the operation. And we're incredibly grateful for the wonderful horses that are on their way to the navy this week.

"Welcome back now so much. Good action york last week with no even tipped Towards the handicapped performed to. So i'm gonna get one standout run from each of our panelists today. Keith let you go first. You caught your eye Out of the big field handicaps york but it only watched the sort of granular level of like to mostly been staying races settling attempts to handicaps and i thought the melrose was a racist abar myself. These are really progressive through units all the way through. Now look at the top. Sex valley forge was really impacting. Just knifed field on. The bridal was really really impressive. Michelle what. I thought was still green. Ribbons creek castle is extremely unexposed. Aunts m just one on his ear the time before du schon was in the middle of the track and and maybe that wasn't the place to be only did ultimately switch and tash gannon king of the castle of reasons to be mocked too. I mean i just think he followed about four. It looks extremely good to me and often does work melrose form. So you're not gonna get rich to not particularly but these horses are gonna turn up an and racist subsequent. I mean ravenscraig. Castles rates seventy eight. He's going to go up to and could run in on what to eat to eat again next time that he's a very very progressive horse needs to be taken seriously King of the castle. Tho- has have you could tell me. His head was street. I would see he have market up quite a lot but yet i'm not going to name a horse. I'm just gonna see look foldout melrose for them because that first five or six very good horses in fact even to an little mitigation for study to apologies to to viewers any. At least those. Who didn't back i e because you finished eighth but some he. He was in the middle of the track. Little thank you a little bit better than not. But i'm not saying you should've been placed in the classical sense or anything but you'll do better than that one day so yeah just about melrose. Form is great. What in case. I agree what about you. I quite liked the race on friday. That was one boy. Sam cook the was code sky bit handicap. Yeah mall four furlongs. A thought that sam cooke won that race. Very very well i. She packed from hole in that rice. And i thought he was just going to hold everything he they kept coming to frown. Honi pushing them away. Ton in hawaii tend to why and then i just looked in behind and they sam cook and he was just traveling like a an absolute express train and Always thinking please don't find anything. Please don't find anything and sure enough. So i'm data. He went away and one well. But i thought that For that reason it was a bit of a standout performance in the handicaps. Really because when you see a host that is so obviously traveling well who then goes and puts the race to bed in the way that sam cooke did from from a host. Enthrone whole like i say. Pretty much batted away every of challenger. I thought that that was a good rice. I've been following frozen whole for a long time. I he was disappointing in ascott when nothing he fell out the traps and then he pulled really hard him rare in any town off again. Next time i think but some this was a real good efforts From foreign holdback vermont and a half because it being run mon and six these previous star so yeah. That was the right to me. That i'll be taking a few of the One fifty eight. You'll come friday. Sam cooke bates frown who. I think that both firm useful. She's going forward is very useful. Appoint lawns now arm reach for the moon. The form of the lots of in the chechen stakes. Roy alaska still embiid new in the futurity stakes in ireland over the weekend. Reach for the moon when the solorio at sundown on saturday out of these two horses compare case in. Who saw would you be on next year. Indeed if you look at the two thousand guineas betting point loans does seven so on favourite reach for the moon double the odds at fourteen even six teams in some places to be brought great. I'll going in apology skies jiro. Let's talk about some of the now. In point lonsdale beat reach for the moon in chesham stakes lasca earlier on in the season indeed neurons lebron's challenger remained unbeaten in charity stakes. In orland over the weekend whereas john gosden charge when the slower states. Sundown how do they compare and he would. You rather be on going forward in terms of next year's two thousand guineas when lonsdale is the seventy one favorite. Reach the main double. That price thought that reach for the moon looked far from the finished article. Mad at sandown on the weekend. I thought they still pit free. And a navy stuart little bit green as well but some like the mighty powered how he was really strong up the straight at sandown which is always a good sign of course is a race that john go often as one which some small before i think he wanted with raven's pass and To don hots and some of these other stars competed in it as well so he obviously holds rates for the moon in high regard and when Finished second behind point lonsdale. The point lonsdale was spectators. If defeat was out the question they don't get it wrong too. Often it ballydoyle. Do i end the vibes. Coming out of the then with a point on there was very very good. Oh so the fact that reach for the moon was able to give him a write in the pair. Ford i think three and a quarter arrested some escort. Mark those down as possibly to the best two year olds we were going to see the season so it's proving because obviously point lonsdale won very impressively at the curragh on saturday night as well a very very short price. Double if you wanted to do it. But i don't think you you would've ever had any worries Because point lonsdale might oh and looked relentless. He looks a bit more professional. A typical ballydoyle Typing the looks right. He looks like he's already finished. Article in some ways in a probably will keep on improving given the way that they train them but he barely does put his head down trying battle. Awhile wouldn't be anywhere. Anywhere is about summit. So i think that he will be the almost the ideal type for next year. She's not as appropriate for daulby. And i think they are two of the best to euro coats. We've seen this season and not only that..

We'd all Located written off After she was so she was chin for the third time this season. I just got one two days. And i can see it and getting the best out of love on the season but fulfilling who who handles fox behind really well. She didn't particularly comfortable on the at ascot mischief beata while there and he's definitely as good at this trip the interesting but loves what is an ideal trips. You're i'm starting to think it's it's ten. Yeah i mean there's not there's no really. There's no definitive evidence of that though guinea than a mile therefore his she's just a star but achieved her best efforts nazi-era obviously were from. We're in the oaks and then in the yorkshire club. We were expecting big things in the awesome. And of course that didn't that didn't happen. No she's been far below her form. And i'd say she's she's even progressive from three to four but it's You've got to keep moving forward Get nothing that's a son has been been Late as well you know. He's come up short in groupon. Listen i i take my half to connections alcohol free for running. But it's it's hard to see in this trip I do respect that with them. Jeff smith is a is tremendously sporting. Woolmer's been in the game for a long time On he's never been afraid of running horses outs different trips I really really good horsey house chief singer and that was forty years ago. Forty years between this. I have forty years. Certain was thirty it years. I think what between winning the note. Thirty thirty seven even before some interesting nine hundred eighty four because she was behind the brunson your on the second guineas So he went from being. You know taught modern the country to winning the july cop as well Which no one really saw coming Again he's more than happy to the alcohol. Free take a chance here. Because she's proven she needs to prove as a minor you know she's. She was lucky in the foul mouth. She's wanting the coronation and then she's beaten the the older horses on the boys in the sussex last month so she doesn't have to go and win another mile against phillies entrepreneurs yourself. He's keen for her to do something new. I think that's tremendous. I think trainers should have that kind of attitude. Even if it doesn't work is You don't damage the horse by doing it. All you damages is your own eagle. You know fairplay to jeff. Smith doesn't have that kind of ego so i'm i'm delighted to see earlier. I once you know this is just to be here to win this race. I think i really want to make the point that it's it's great to see rain here Because that would justify that attitude as well and get more people doing this but i struggle this year giving me the mining the quarter as do i. I also think it's great that andrew building hasn't tried to talk him out of it not absolutely not. Andrew has no jeff for while omni's no jeff smith since sandra was a teenager. I'd imagine so jeff over the years. And i think that's i think that's awesome. It should be gotta. Have you got the owners. Flippin and serna's i've i've watched fuel off of top-class washes over the years. Who wanted to wines with horses on. Which is you. Trainer said no melting. I find that really strange. I the was a time Aiken the demon distant past where trainers weren't even named jokes were named owners renamed trainers would just grooms there were treated as grooms utah after the horse. But your name's not important now ni- a guy who spans fifty million times on his horses. I will tell him no. You don't tell me what to do with horses. I'll tell you what to horses. I'm that's wrong. That's absolutely wrong. That's where we are with them with the most powerful trainers in the world at the moment that the owners are just there to finance Their hobby as aware and they don't have any input into where the horses should run. So it's good to see owners. You understand the game on a one to be sporting on trainers who say listen mitt. You're paying you're paying the bills. You can call the shots. Well i think if you're a logical individual and look if you've made a lot of money in the business world whether you're male or female you're probably cutthroat let's be honest with you probably are and so maybe you just want to have the power play. Maybe you just want to be able to say hey. I'm paying the bills. I want love to run here. I'm paying the bills. Mishra runs in the middle east..

It's another one you wouldn't you wouldn't expect to horse from this yards to run into group one on be short of peak fitness. But the more. I think that is the case what to be fair. John gosden said that beforehand that he was going to get it. It would bring him to the controller. Jacqueline why you always take the train and save before nine but it with a pinch sold. Yeah true it's all bollocks but in fact he actually wanted like he did this he he was a little bit free of the travel able to get home which is not all a whole. She finds plenty for pressure. Generally speaking the was disappointed in the past of course was was some and the chummy states last year. Again coming off a break on yet. I seem seems best. Recent really mischief a. Is it though. Not wanna days yes. Is it though. Let me put it to you this way. Perhaps she needed the run at ascott. And when i say at ascot amine the principal oils. So roy moore bounced out made all the running and she wins and then not race took out a little bit more from her than they anticipated so when they run over mile four thinking oh great. Now she's in top form and she'll go and win this she just didn't quite have what it took and the original plan was to go to france. She was going to go to france at the weekend and they changed seventeen time. Yeah of course it has. It's her comeback. on changed. seventeen million times this season. She was going to run into tadpoles. Group one and brougham was very handy supplement. Although didn't quite work out But he's gone to groupon glory front since so they had to wait until roy alaska so my point there is that they really thought they needed to get a run into her and yet she's still managed to win it right. I scott and she's now back to ten furlongs at a truck that she's one at on good grant which you'll bounce off of and maybe ryan. Where's the pace coming from. Maybe just goes out and makes all the running somebody real hard for david. Egan to relearn. Maybe i mean that's that's you know. If he doesn't lead it could be a messy wrist. Very true ryan. I mean to me the the problem with with the an idea that she she binds the bit at ascot. George is from asia's Run pretty sensible times. A doria was really disappointing Next time i mean you look through. It just wasn't a good risk was tomorrow. It was the one that you know. I thought was really interesting contender. She ran really well in second but then she flops and she was very weak in the market at goodwood. I'm behind that you on rate my over on Just not a good race principles. That's a very good counter unfor- me she's flown to goodridge's this season but she's just she wanted one sub standards are great one and then the joy she was she was find out a little bit. I think she's as good as she was last year. But as good as she was last year isn't good enough When you're carrying the extra it was a four year old. It's fourteen to one ball doesn't like it could be a strong contested malkin on the weights measures snowfall while she's rated than wonderful tonight and that's without factoring into an allowance teasing us accurate. What we're gonna see on thursday. I look for change. I won't keep you long. Snowfall should win and once tonight's unless there is a downpour will have it all to do an unexpected downpour looking forecast as you mentioned low. Run if she's there for the drug months and nine bounds or whatever it is she's getting you know it's a very very todd. Which is the coma. Wouldn't it nunthorpe stakes even fine fellows on. We have what is surprising. I'd say market leader here. In many aspects with golden powerful west would bought by comb presumably to run in this race as who is some impressive in the king. George good five to two winter power. He's been so exceptional schools in distance. This season six one dragon symbols in dancing every county's going again out seven to one hundred sixteen to one bar. James golden powell. I'm not sure bind. He should be favorite for this. What's your view on it. No i agree with you and it's interesting. The the money has come from his aims. Wesley watercourse saying this source is the best. He's ever train. Which is a huge ancient given the horses. He's had Fatty knockout that phrases. Well we talk about chinese catchphrase but look other american phone very well but you know he's run lasko last year behind the league. He did look sort of like a real sort of one is really bulky. American sprint is that we say year off the air from from westwood. how good he is we just know. And that's why wouldn't wouldn't touch it. S waste. It was serious impressive at your she. May i think we both agree. Should be the favorite. I wouldn't necessarily back her at this at this stage just because e sometimes it'd be sprint. Is they might struggle to back it up and and as we say they're still liangel of how good is when to power. How good is golden power. We don't know yet. If i had to have a baton this race which are probably wouldn't vannice for king's lynn. Actually he did get the surprising Hose he's been pretty decent all season really disappointing last last day before that would look quite progressive. Service rates can't springer surprise. And he he's got. He's got the class to do it. It's just wherever we can do on day. Getting three pounds from golden pal cheese already rated. Three pounds superior to me is quite straightforward. Maybe i'm being a bit. Aaj james gaines. Bring some of the horses into a mark. How this one's gonna play out. Tactically presumably windsor powell's going to go out there and make all do you think she'll get much competition for the lead. Should golden pattern is toll on. I think he'd he'd go and do the business name. I to be honest this harse. Ajay for also more. I've been really excited to see his fed over here in the tarp. I honestly think he's really like even i remember back when he was. I think it's our toga. Last year was the war zone. Harskov hokey i think delaney gave at the time. Was you know. I be talking about faculty as if he was the second communities. Didn't train golden pal. You know he was. This golden pal ever does is absolutely. It's all class you know you look at. The performance. has a harsh speeded. Halfway and for winter power is is very very quick and she would give them company. I just think this article be different league to the rest of them and you know personally suazo. That was very impressive last time but i just i'm not too sure if our body form with stack up to the level that golden pal kanter fees at his very best. It's always gonna be a different tests for him. Would you know whether you are is very much. The opinion that he should have owned an awful last year and he was happy with roy. D'arcy was given a party. Wouldn't have the same gripes the extent the heat is if i'm miss connecticut only apologized but i have a feeling that he wasn't overly pleased at the time but I just think this is one of the most exciting sprinters in the lower right now and i cannot wait to see him. I think sprinters over here. Why might be good. This fabric would just be different. So as you can probably tell marie. Dod excited to see what he can do already. Despite if he gets beat goals in disagreement that i like i like the confidence golden pal then plenty believe in in housing mark as and. Let's see how that one pans out certainly going to be an interesting contest even now but tush has retied. Maybe we're going to see a new superstar in not rice. Modest Mussorgsky: The Mighty Handful

"Hello welcome to classics for Kids I'm Naomi Lewin. The mighty handful may sound like a rock band or a bad babysitting job and the mighty five may sound like a basketball team. But both of those were nicknames for a group of Nineteenth Century Russian composers interested in developing a Russian sound for classical music. Obviously, there were five of them. Mighty handful refers to five fingers. The ringleader of the mighty handful was mealy Bollock, a pianist and composer who wanted to promote nationalism in Russian music in music nationalism refers to a south. That's distinct Taylor country. Sometimes, that's done by using folk tunes, rhythms, or dance forms and a piece of music, but it can also mean including historical characters or legend from a region. While Akira, wrote an overture in which he put pieces of three Russian folk songs. Eventually Bala of became director of the Russian Court Orchestra. But for a while he quipped music and went to work for the Russian railroad in fact, every member of the mighty five held a nonmusical job at one time or another. Alexander Borodino was never a professional musician. He was a professor of chemistry. From the time he was a kid Borodino was very musical but he decided to study science instead he wound up founding the first Russian School of Medicine for women. After he met Bollock. The great cheerleader for Russian Music Borodino. Began composing. But since science and medicine took up most of his time, he didn't get a chance to finish very many pieces. One of the other members of the mighty hand full wound up putting Borodin's opera Prince Ebor into its final form, the man who cleaned up Laura Dean's music and music by quite a few other composers was Nikolai rimsky-korsakov. Rimouski. Korsakov was in the navy when he met up with Mealy, Bollock Kiro and decided that. Should be his life rimsky-korsakov quit the maybe to study composition after teaching himself to compose he wound up as a professor of composition at the new conservatory. In Saint Petersburg Russia rimsky-korsakov was great at orchestration knowing what instruments to assign to which lines of music in order to get the best sound. He finished a lot of pieces that some of his fellow Russians left unfinished and he also rearranged a lot of music some of which didn't necessarily rearranging. The. Last member of the mighty five was Cesar. Has An unusually UN Russian sounding last name because his father was French. In fact, he was a French military officer who decided to stay in Russia after being taken prisoner there while fighting with Napoleon's army. says. We started out in the military too but you guessed it after he met Mealy Bala. Cesar qe became a composer. Even, though he had no Russian ancestors, his mother was Lithuanian qe became a big champion of Russian music just like the other members of the mighty handful. Russian Tries to Hack Tesla

"Almost A. state-sponsored spy story we have something that really happened. And I tease this by quoting our friend Marcus hutchins twitter reaction upon learning of it just to remind everyone marcus is the well known security researcher and reformed cybercrime hacker. You know he actually reformed in his teenage years, but the FBI didn't forgive him for that and of course, as we know his future became uncertain when the FBI grabbed him. In Las Vegas is Logan Airport as he was departing or a preparing to depart for from the US for his home in the UK, following the annual black hat and DEFCON conferences. Well last Thursday. Reacting on twitter to the news of this story which had just broken marcus quite correctly observed he tweeted quote one of the benefits of cybercrime. Is Criminals don't have to expose themselves to unnecessary risk by conducting business in person. Flying into the US Jewish diction to have mel wear manually installed on a company's network is absolutely insane. Unquote. Okay. So what was all that about? A TWENTY-SEVEN-YEAR-OLD RUSSIAN NATIONAL By the name of or. Igla, rich. Crutch. Nikolov. Traveled to the US an attempted to subvert and bribe an employee working at Tesla corporations massive Nevada based gigafactory. Eager. Ultimately agreed to pay the employees one million dollars to plant malware inside Tesla's. Internal Network. The. Good news is the employees reported the offer. To his employer Tesla and then worked with the FBI to build an airtight case and to set up a sting which included having him covertly record face to face meetings. Discussing this, Russian the twenty-seven-year-old Russians proposal in their complaint which followed Egos, arrest and arraignment wit last Tuesday the prosecutors wrote. The purpose of the conspiracy was to recruit an employee of a company to Syrup Tissue, transmit malware provided by the CO conspirators into the company's computer system. EXFILTRATION data from the company's network and threatened to disclose the data online unless the company paid the CO conspirators ransom demand. The complaint said that the malware would be custom developed. Propagate through the company's network. For it to work the group said, it needed the employees to provide information about the employers, network authorizations and network procedures. Correct correct Yakubov said, the malware would be transmitted either by inserting a usb drive into a company computer or clicking on an email attachment containing malware. Ebor explained the infecting computer would have to run continuously for six to eight hours for the malware to move fully through the network. To distract network personnel, a first stage of the malware would perform a denial of service attack while a second stage performed the data exfiltration. When the complaint was initially unsealed last Tuesday the identities of all parties was still confidential being identified only as company A, and C H s one which is their abbreviation for confidential human source number one that is the employees. But last Thursday Elon Musk confirmed that yes. Indeed it was his company that was the target of this whole operation. The charging document with was filed in federal court in Nevada detailed and extensive end determined attempt to infect. Tesla's network the defendant again twenty-seven-year-old Eager E- Gore Vich. Crush Cov allegedly traveled from Russia to Nevada and then met with the unnamed employees on multiple occasions. When Eagles initial five hundred thousand dollar bid failed to clinch the deal. The defendant doubled the offer to one million dollars according to the complaint Crutch Kav wined and dined and boozed up the employees and when discussing especially sensitive details conducted conversations in cars. When FBI agents couldn't conduct physical surveillance in restaurants or bars, the employees recorded them. One meeting occurred on August seventh in a car crutch Cov had rented referring to the employees again as C. H. S. One, the prosecutors described that. Seventh meeting as follows they said during this meeting which the FBI had consensually recorded. Crutch Cov reiterated some of the details of the criminal activity previously proposed to. C.. H.. S. One. Credit Yakubov described the malware attack as he did before. Adding that the first part of the attack, a De dos would be successful for the group in quotes but the victim companies security officers would think the attack had failed. Crutch COBB A and here's some news again listed prior companies this group had targeted. Crutch. Cobb stated each of these targeted companies had a person working at those companies who installed malware on behalf of the group. To ease, C.. H. S ones concerns about getting caught. Feds pursuing broad investigation into two associates of Rudy Giuliani, including his consulting business

"There is also new reporting on the criminal investigation surrounding those two associates of Rudy Giuliani. Love and Ebor. They're also reporting. The feds are scrutinizing Giuliani's consulting business and looking at donations made to a pro-trump SUPERPAC repack tonight. Giuliani's own lawyer says his client has not received any subpoena requests. And as that. He's done nothing wrong. This weekend Giuliani was back on cable and he was asked about his recent contact with his client and friend. DONALD TRUMP I do not discuss by conversations with my client. Giuliani associate Lev Parnas agrees to cooperate with House impeachment probe

"Day. One Thousand Nineteen eighteen of the trump administration and as the president takes his fight against impeachment as he did tonight to Lexington Kentucky Democrats feel they are gaining and building ending their case against him. Just tonight Lev Parnasse. One of those two Rudy Giuliani associates and the effort to have Ukraine help trump investigators. They went public with the impeachment inquiry releasing the first transcripts from witnesses who Baha behind closed doors gave depositions. Opposition's remember these other depositions that were being taken in private the same proceedings the Republicans wanted to disrupt a week ago. Oh demanding transparency. Well we got some of that transparency today nearly five hundred pages of testimony from the former former ambassador and a top aide to the secretary of state. Mike pompeo former ambassador Michael McKinley. They are now no longer secret. House Intelligence Committee Committee Chair Adam. Schiff described the essence of what the witnesses said. The apparatus of the State Department itself was being used to seek political information for a political purpose by the President United States and others. It's actually gripping reading as our former ambassador. Yeah Oven ovatch test to find. She learned of plans to get rid of her from quote people in the Ukrainian in government. WHO said the former prosecutor general was in communication with Mayor Giuliani and they had plans and that they were they were going to? Do you know do things things including to me she added. What does baseball mean to Montreal to Quebec or to Canada? And we'll those fans who refused to abandon their team. Even after their team, abandoned them finally get their happy ending. I'm Jordan heath Rawlings. And this is the big story. Jeff Blair is the host of the Jeff Blair show on sports net. Five ninety the fan. He is the co host of the lead podcast with Stephen Brent knows a lot about baseball in Montreal because he covered the Expos for the zette for about a decade and for the global mail after that so it's opening day to day. There's no baseball in Montreal today. Not yet. But Montrealers are very excited this week. Why is that? Well, I think they should be excited. I mean, I covered the Expos from eighty eight to ninety seven on a full-time basis. And I was there when when the team ended up leaving town part of a franchise swap that saw the Expos go to Washington and saw the ownership of the Boston Red Sox in my and Miami Marlins change as part of the process at that time. There was very little support from the local business community. There were there was a very small collection of minority partners who were in for maybe million two million dollars a year, very small. They had been effectively bought out in a leveraged buyout by Jeffrey Loria was a New York art dealer who came in and saw that I think at the end of the day ended up putting in about twenty five million US of his own money into that team and that up buying it. And then when he sold the Marlins that was for one point three billion any that's but at that time. Time when when the Expos left the Commissioner was committed at the time, but ceiling was committed to bringing baseball back to Washington. It was it was a legacy thing for him. The Expos has I mentioned had no local corporate support. There was no political support. I mean, they didn't have a political champion in the mayor's office. They they had no political champions provincially as a matter of fact, when you know, I think when you talk to people who are involved in sort of the post Charles Bronfman area era, the expo is one of the things they'll say is that they were affectively screwed by p q government. There was just there were there was there was there was no reason to keep the Expos and much there. There is a plan to build a new ballpark was completely stillborn. So there was absolutely no reason for the Expos to stay in town. And of course, attendance it had had decreased while fast forward. Now, you have a new Commissioner rob Manfred. Who also even though he's only been inter for few years. Just thinking of his legacy and his legacy is in. Internationalizing the game. You've seen baseball games. Played in Japan. Baseball will play a game at Lord's Cricket Ground. This year the Red Sox and the Yankees. And rob Manfred has said that he thinks Montreal is a viable baseball market. He also thinks Mexico City's viable baseball. Mark in Montreal itself. You have a really well-funded core ownership group, Stephen Bronfman of Claridge investments, the son of Charles Bronfman and Mitch Garber who's kind of a fascinating guy. Mitch when I first met him. He's a lawyer his uncle was a lawyer who represented a lot of Expos players in and around Montreal Tim Raines, he keeps kind of a fixer for them. And I I mean that in a positive way Mitch also hosted a radio show late night. I mean, he was a dabbler really talented guy. He is now president of Caesars acquisitions international, essentially lives in Monaco. And he's on the French CBC French language version of dragons. Dan. He's he's he's a very he is shaker and mover. He was I believe I don't know if he's still as he was CEO of Cirque du Soleil at one point he's got a lot of money scuttle resume. He's got and he's and he's and he's a billionaire. He and Stephen Bronfman both known each other for while that they have they've kept the dream of baseball in Montreal alive. They done it very quietly as is their manners people. They're both fairly quiet, quiet. People very quietly. They had Denny co dare when he was mayor of Montreal who is a huge baseball. I mean, he's an he's a nut. But he's a huge baseball fan. And he you know, he was show up at every baseball event. The all star game the World Series it show up at the Commissioner's office. He he'd go to the Expos or the Blue Jays games every spring spring training just to kind of fly the flag and lobby for and lobby for a team to return to Montreal and the provincial government, both the liberal government. And the new government are very the very comfortable with the idea of entertaining, some sort of public private partnership. So what we have now is. Commissioner who views internationalizing the game as an important part of his legacy. We have people in Montreal ton of money. What we don't have as a team revolt park. Obviously we have Olympic state, and we don't have a team or ballpark. Well, this is going on the tap. The Tampa Bay rays have been have been trying for twenty twenty-five years to get a ballpark built. They play at Tropicana field in Saint Pete. So horrible ballpark that, you know, their their attendance is routinely the worst in the league somewhat bizarrely. They have one of the best TV contracts in the league. But their attendance is generally pretty poor. They have attempted to build a ballpark in different parts of Tampa. The the providence Saint Pete right now is that Tampa's where the growth there is in the area east of Tampa north Tampa. That's where the growth is. Unfortunately to get the Saint Pete you base give a choice of two bridges. So during rush hour access to Saint Pete from Tampa is essentially it's the worst place you could imagine in the region right ballpark last year. There seemed to be finally at least for the people in Tampa. There seemed to be memento. Adam behind building a ballpark in ebor city, which is to to the eastern part of the city. It's an old old warehouse area. And I I hadn't been paying attention to it at baseball's winter meetings or something happened it collapsed. I don't know what I don't know the exact majority just collapsed. So the winter meetings in baseball where everybody in baseball gathers media general managers owners, it's it's kinda like a swap shop trades or made sometimes free agents or talked about and all that there was a news conference call by Stuart Sternberg with the owner of the race and his president, which if you've got something you wanna float as if you've got a trial balloon you wanna float in baseball. You do it at the winter meetings because everybody who writes talks thinks about baseball is there, right? They held a news conference. You know, blah, blah, blah stadium issue in Tampa. We still have a lease at Tropicana field the twenty twenty four twenty until twenty twenty-seven dot that up. But and this was was was very subtle. And I probably wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't been tipped off about this by a raise official the raise owner. Said listen, we're not getting a park built in tap. We do have a lease right now until twenty twenty seven Saint Petersburg prime real estate in terms of building condos mixed business residential area. I mean, it is a it is a gold mine for raising tax. If there's a crappy building city there's a crappy building sitting on it that we're going to be gone from an in in ten years. So what he did what Stuart Sternberg did was he kind of flipped it a bit. And said, here's the thing. Yeah. We could be here twenty twenty seven. But man, if you guys get an offer between now and then for this parcel a land who knows what the economy's going to look like in twenty twenty seven right? Could be better could be worse. So centrally what he said is. Hey, if you guys get a good offer for this. You know, I'd be willing to cut you deal here to to to help you finish this off. Please. Let me go, please. Let me go. So well that's going on, you know, the folks in Montreal again, very quietly quietly, very diligently. Claridge investments is involved in purchasing land in Griffin town part of Montreal. Which is. Near the peel basin. It's it's kind of an area that's undergoing gentrification. So you've got that. Now, you've got a Tampa Bay rays owner. Who knows he's not gonna stay there? Now, you've got people with money in Montreal in a ballpark. You've got a Commissioner who is committed to this one of the things the tappan though as well, as in addition to all that sort of falling in place, one of the things rob Manfred, the Commissioner says look I realized the reality of the situation now is I'm not going to ask you to build a ballpark. And then give you a team he cited Quebec, cities, and example, building an arena. No NHL team. You said not gonna do that. I just need see the plans. I didn't need the shovel in the ground show me the financing show me the plans haven't nailed down. And we'll try to get a team in. Montreal. Stuart Sternberg owns the raise lives in New York. So what kind of happened in the past couple of months? People started to realize well who says Stuart Sternberg has to sell the raise or Montreal has to get an expansion team. What a Stuart Sternberg said moved the race to Montreal. I live in New York. It's not a big flight. Maybe. I wanna be a majority partner. But maybe I want twenty percent. Maybe bell media comes in for twenty percent char or Stephen Bronfman and Mitch Garber have thirty percent each and away we go. So all these things have kind of have fallen in place if you'd asked me for years ago. I would've said there's no chance of baseball returning to much you're on my lifetime. Now, I'd be stunned. If there isn't a major league team in Montreal within the next six or seven years five years might be a little tight, but just sort of planning this thing out of that. I can see baseball back in Montreal in six seven years at the outside. I'll be surprised if it isn't
