He's among a few of the staff members here that are not automatically getting to transfer to Spirit Ridge Elementary. I'm speechless. They're so strong. "Seattle. The Washington state patrol says they don't believe a homeless encampment under the ship canal bridge poses an imminent safety threat to a nearby Seattle school. Koma force Jeremy Harris reports parents are questioning the state patrol after multiple shootings and fires. Carrots from the John Stanford international school went to the Seattle city council asking them to move action about this encampment, state officials have said they're going to clean the cabin, but people will living there will be allowed to stay. Now, in a new letter to parents washed out the state patrol and the King County regional homelessness authority said they are going to be cleaning the camp, but there will be no requirement for the people there to also lead. The state patrol also admits that they don't actually know who is in the camp. Parents don't buy it. When the state patrol says that they don't think anyone in the camp is an imminent threat, I wonder if last month they thought there was an imminent threat before someone got shot to death in that camp or whether they thought there was an imminent threat before this big fire started last week. If they thought there was a threat, why didn't they tell us? If they didn't think there's a threat, why do we believe them now? Jeremy Harris, coma news. For example. this is a mobile tripod. By the way that i use so what people do is they'll put that down and then here's the problem with these words. I'll even use my headphones as an example got these headphones and the cable is maybe three feet long. So let's look at it like this. If i had a microphone and clipped it on myself and then i wanted to flip it on the computer or the phone. I have three feet. It's not a lot of room to move around. You know like the second move around there goes your phone your tablet things like that so the fact that this has this really really really long court is pretty fantastic You know and it's definitely worth getting for fifty dollars either a backup in case one of your other ones actually fails at some point but Really good mike for the money doesn't seem like you know given it's fifteen dollars but is a really really really good mike for checking out so absolutely okay. "Yeah so we cleaned out all the trash. The personal belongings. We did all of the initial demolition. That needs to be done as you know when you're renovating a home. So all of that was done over the course of three or four hours by about one hundred people. I mean if we just had no three or four guys in there that would been a couple of weeks just literally getting stuff out. Doing the demo removing the carpet tile all that crap so At something for people to see to. It's definitely an experience that you can't really replicate what the small group. I think that people really enjoy the sweat equity if that makes sense like going in and being able to participate in work for that helps people not just handing over dollars although that is extraordinarily beneficial but actually putting in the labor with it as well. We definitely like the dollars to when you when you participate in the workday you become a part of it because then you see the house on the other side and you think i was there that day we help. Clean it out and do some of the initial work. It's not just like inside that day. Getting to see like the difference of cleaning the house but once we're done fully renovating in. There's a new homeowner there. You can drive down that street and pointed out and said right man. I've toured the carpet out of that house and now someone's living there and we really made a positive difference. Bullets like we were Our group of people were working for on the day of carrying on clearing in opening up the sidewalks. Gun have become overgrown and i do like drive down that road. It's off glenwood. It's across from the the barbecue bar Southern taverns to renew throat by salvation army service to see the sidewalk it does it makes you feel good then an obviously. I'm a huge person that believes that there needs to be more sidewalks for everybody into beach. That's something that we've been doing for years. Unfortunately there's still a lot of sections the sidewalk that have just become overgrown but we've actually cleared by hand miles of sidewalk in the city. Like probably fifteen or sixteen miles of sidewalk in linear feet. We've cleared by hand so eastgate and everything like that when it comes to like pedestrian lately. It's absolutely a good question. So this past this past couple months we just applied to escape with the city of youngstown and boardman township for a planning grant for glenwood avenue so the purpose of that is fully a pedestrian bike infrastructure looking at sidewalks crosswalks lighting Bus shelters but then also figuring out how we can make more connections off. Glenn went into mill creek park but also connecting people on bikes. You know we have the connector coming down mahoney out downtown but we want to be able to connect people for example even if you go over here down shields on the hike bike you can take that all the way up that east cohasset trail old furnace. But then you need a way to connect back downtown. So that that's something we're hopeful be funded than will put a plan together working with all the relevant partners eventually. then we'll have fundable projects. We can actually do the work infrastructure stuff you probably know. It takes years matching terms of the planning. It's a slow fairly bureaucratic process. But we're it's definitely some we think about nerve working on it right now. I sit on the actor transportation committee y- with a healthy community partnerships and sarah. Lowery you both know is another force to be reckoned with in our area. And i mean it's constantly wheels turning trying to figure out how to deal. Who do we need to touch with when it comes to bureaucracy of everything how to help public transportation as well as just active transportation..

I just wasn't too between you and your esteem cohort there. What he was saying about two sides about you know the Trump supporters yesterday? Not there. Just that up and blah, blah, blah, seeing the other side that that's the joke of the day right there. I think I love what you had to say. And I get that you guys Are agreeing to disagree on this one. But I feel like Rocky's probably more in touch with his Arian Whiteside that you are Eddie. He's a stereo. Typical West Side, Republican man I hate to say thanks for liking. Thanks, man. Appreciate your everyone can express her opinion. That's what we're here for. Let's talk to Brian in Eastgate. We're going to the other side of town when he got Brian. Hey, guys, How you doing? Good man. You are so kind of talking about what Rocky said. Um uh, What's the ultimate reason? Why People were in D. C and he seems to me Whatever, Trump says his supporters has go with it. I think that's kind of what's been leading up to all the chaos. I look, I understand what you're saying. But in my opinion, no. Then this is my opinion. You can disagree. I think a lot of what what happened yesterday and again for the 17th time. I will say what the violence that happened was wrong and unjustified warranted, But I think it it all culminated in. And sit in four years of there being a double standard. I think folks are upset about the election. Rightfully so, but more to it. I think it became visceral when you had all the other things all the double standards that are out there. I just person can understand why we can't call a spade a spade in life. Will happen yesterday was wrong. What happened in Portland was was wrong. That doesn't seem that hard. Absolutely. I mean, there is definitely a double standard, no doubt about that, but kind of to any point. That's what happened yesterday. And it's just not quite apples. Apples comparison this away. Those people were just absolutely unbelievable. Tough day. Thanks, Brian. Let's talk to Gilbert next. Gilbert what he got. Hey, Thanks for taking my call. Appreciate your show. I think if we look at this, Ah, one of the things that Folks, they're using the statement, The citadel of Democracy. I think that you know, compared it to the ivory power, the Ivory Palace and And if I agreed violence of never never solution, But I think that in our in our roots is Americans. That's our house. We? We elect men and women to go there and do business. You know, and and I agree that that it culminated in it Zamora than the election. I think it's the hypocrisy and people are just fed up with The idea that you can elect a person they go there. They don't adhere to their promises. Trump Get everything he promised. Like it or not, And yes, what happened out in Portland's wrong? What happened yesterday is wrong, but that's the people town. Yeah, I agree. And I understand, Eddie. I certainly understand your opinion. I just think it's I don't see it as Buckingham Palace as much as I like you said, the people's House, and that's where there's a lot of dirty, shady people and stuff that go in and out of that building. And I just don't see it as again as a palace. As much as I see. It is like he said, the house of the people We own that house that might disagree with both of us. Chuck what he got. Iraqi. I couldn't agree more that place. Please do not refer. That is some citadel of democracy and such a great point with what I'm talking about is that's the ideal When you look forget it's on What dollar Bill is on the bag was on the $1 bill, I forget, but it's It's a symbol of America. You know what if you showed that to a picture of a guy In Saudi Arabia. He go America. You showed it to a guy and Iceland he'd say, America, England, France Wherever you pick a place they go, That's America, and that's what I'm talking about. Well, that might have been what it was when you and I were kids, Eddie. It isn't many anymore and I'll tell you what it's funny because it's really the Trump supporters and the burning Sanders supporters and Antifa. They all have one thing in common. I can't stand that group of people because they look at him is a bunch of corrupt people. It just like this, this $600 they gave us and then we're out here working every day and were given billions toe, other cut countries, and that's Republicans and Democrats. So that is not a symbol of anything other than us getting ripped off every day of our rights. That's what it's a symbol of you said something that I want to comment on, and that is That the Bernie people in the trump people are are same and that I agree with And I think what you're what you're saying is both those groups of people have lost faith in the system right? Both people are but all the people that founded chop and all that stuff out and see how they've lost faith in the American system, right, And a lot of the Trump supporters have lost the faith, the American system. But I just think, because that the double standard is what is driving those groups to get bigger and bigger matter matter and crazier and crazier. Thanks, Chuck.
