On the inner and outer loop at the Wilson bridge, we're going to see a bridge deck opening, which means the lanes are going to be brought to a stop at the Wilson region about 5 minutes time they figured the next one scheduled at two 45 this morning. Three 95 in Virginia, southbound is fine northbound couple works so step around one, your duke street left lane getting by. The other is going to be after glebe road heading toward Washington boulevard and two left lanes will get past that. On 66, lots of work westbound, one works out inside the belt wipe. After the roslyn tunnel over the top has found run Parkway, the left lane getting by the bridge deck work outside the beltway to work from nutley street toward route 50. It's a left leg getting past that. The ramp from westbound 66 to go west under 50. That takes a 57 B, that is not open right now. That's been closed for overnight work. And then before and after the fairfax county Parkway, right lane is getting by that work zone, the ramp from westbound 60, 60 goes south on 28. That is blot, and then westbound 66 beyond haymarket near the plains, the work is taking away the whole right side near exit 31, single left gets by. On the capitol beltway in Maryland, it's quiet in Virginia waiting for an all clear on our crash activity in the Springfield interchange and still cleaning it up. Most of it's over on the right shoulder now as you make your way out of the ramp from the inner loop to go south on 95 through the Springfield interchange with caution, but without a great deal to light. On 95 and on three 95, nothing pending currently. On one 23 at lorden road earlier crash and police activity resulting from that crash which I believe came at the end of a police pursuit and following police direction to get by. On 66, east bounders you've got work your netly street single right getting by westbound is coming from false church. You've got to work on 66 before the beltway. That's one to the right getting by. Inside the beltway on 66 east bounders finding the cones in the road after fairfax drive exit 71 with the left lane getting by outside the beltway, it's westbound work after the fairfax county Parkway, single left pass that works on the ramp from 66 westbound to go south on 29, et cetera Bill likes at 52 that ramp is blocked for the overnight work on the Maryland side 95. The only fly in the orbit will be northbound work after I one 95 heading for the Baltimore beltway with the left lane blocked. Everything else is fine. "The driver of that suspect vehicle got out armed with the firearm, approached a student, the man of his property. Commander Carlos arad says, it's unclear if the two knew each other, or if the man was just after the teen's jacket, which is the only thing he took. So we did get several calls for the gunshots. We are still reviewing video and speaking to witnesses. What we do know is that the shot was not directed at the school or at the victim. No one was hurt in the incident, but the school was on lockdown and nearby Ida B wells middle and Whittier elementary schools were on alert status for a brief time. Meghan clover at AWT OP news. Friday morning, Alexandria public schools is moving forward with the pilot program. They would add weapon detection systems to several school locations. School board has unanimously approved adding screening equipment for four schools, beginning this spring in May, the screening equipment incorporates artificial intelligence in the use of photography to detect weapons while their work concerns over the cost of the program several school board members, including Willie Bailey, say this morning to screening, equipment is necessary. We just need to understand the entire city needs to understand that it's about the safety of their kids. Not about the aesthetics, not what it looks like, not what it calls. Weapons screening equipment will be installed at Alexandria city high schools, king street, and many Howard campuses. George Washington middle school and Francis C Hammond middle school this spring in April. The school board sent out a community survey recently of the topic earlier this month, and most respondents were told said they supported the pilot program of the use of screening equipment in schools. Arise in second quarter absences talking about schools this morning locally among Prince William county students as the school system discussing how to keep students in class and engage substantially higher than we would like it to be. That's Michael Neal with Prince William county schools on the fact that over 23% of students missed 9 or more days of school in the first 90 days. What we are hearing is that that attendance is an issue, not just for us, but our surrounding school divisions and nationally. He says more kids getting sick and winter months is partially behind the increase, but the county is taking action. Every school is creating an attendance plan and the program called attention to attendance will streamline the notification process in the event the student misses class.
