The Rich Get Richer While the Poor Get Poorer

"Producer Connor for example. Producer Connor is going to be our test case. I think did I mention this on air before? Maybe I did. So producer Connor got poorer this last year. Now he's going to use this as an advocating for a race, but I'll bring that, that's a separate conversation. How did producer Connor get poorer? Producer Connor what your mid 20s, right? Mid 20s works hard gets in early does a great job. He's 25. So he's right there. He is right on the chart. Andrew says we actually gave him a raise. Okay, it was an inflation adjusted race. But here's what's important. Listen, producer Connor got poorer. His rent went up by $600 a month. Is that correct, Connor? $600 a month. That means he has to pay 600 extra dollars a month, $7200 a year to live in the same place that he lived last year. So in order to just tread water in order for Connor just to stay the same, he has to earn an extra $600 a month just to break even. Whereas I have a mortgage. And my mortgage rate is fixed. And that doesn't go up. So I borrowed my mortgages can make a lot of sense, makes really conservative. Money. And therefore I become I'm fit in and it doesn't change mortgage payments, you could have a fixed rate, you could have a floating rate, but most are fixed. I actually am getting richer. The value of my home goes up, my payment stays the same, which actually goes down because the currencies inflated. So Connor the renter gets poorer, Charlie, the owner gets richer. I'm not trying to rub it in your face Conor. I'm just using you as an example. It's true. Your rulers betrayed you.

The Left's March Towards Tax Insanity

"One of the things that happened under the Trump administration is that taxes actually went up for people like me. Because he eliminated the ability to deduct state and local taxes. And if you live in a blue state high tax state like California, you pay a great deal of state and local taxes, and by deducting it, you're able to spread that around to the other 49 states. Now California is poised to become the first in the nation to have a single payer. Four or 5 years ago, they were trying to do it. And the price day came in at $400 billion, which is even more than the total California budget. So of course, no bad idea ever dies in California. They just lay low and put it out again. And now, they are moving ahead. Taxes on businesses that make at least $2 million in annual revenue. We started to a 2.3% payroll tax. Companies with at least 50 employees, 1.25% tax. And employees pay employees at least $49,000 900 would be subject to a 1% tax. It also increases taxes on the wealthiest citizen, .5% income tax on people earning at least 149 gram, 2.5% of people making more than $2.48 million per year. Are you asking people to leave? Once you just hire the U haul, drive out yourself. Welcome to California.

It's Critical That You Invest in the Market

"More. But what I wanted to talk to you about today is you. It's too easy, I think, in light of everything that's going on in terms of our frustration, perhaps at times with our federal government, and in many cases, hey, if you live in California, you probably with your local government as well. But when we get frustrated with our federal government, it's too easy to kind of throw in the towel and say, you know what, I don't want to be invested. I don't want to be invested in this market because I don't believe in what's happening. And this is sort of what I want to talk to you about today is reminder that it's critical, especially in light of some of the mistakes that our federal government is making. As it pertains to inflation, it's critical that you are invested and you are looking out for your future and you're looking out for number one and your family. And it's very easy to say, okay, well, you know, because there's so messed up, I don't want any part of that, but if you don't take part in the system, then the system can actually work against you. And by that, you know, I mean, even inflation, we look at all the data that's coming in. And it's really and truly it's your everyday Americans, the very people, by the way, the federal government keeps claiming to want to help. It says everyday Americans that get hurt most by inflation because when gas prices go up, when food prices go up when housing costs go up, these are the people everyday Americans poor Americans that are most affected. So how do you, how do you make sure that even if you're earning a very modest living that you don't get trapped in that? And for me, it goes back to really being thoughtful about your planning for your future about retirement planning about making sure that you're putting your money. If you work for a company and you have a full-time job into that 401k oftentimes, of course, they have a company match, so it's like free money. It grows tax free. I mean, these are sort of no brainers. Personal finance one on one that you should be doing. And I hope you're doing, but also beyond that, what can you afford personally? What can you put away for yourself and your family? And I think that you need to go back to basics. I always say, I mean, look at companies that you like companies that you use, companies you're interested in and start doing research on those. Or, if you don't really want to even get in that far, you can invest in index funds. Just make sure everything's diversified. Do me that favor. I like to be able to sleep at night for you. So make sure you have a diversified

Charlie and Pastor David Engelhardt Discuss the Great Christmas Gift Debate

"So I do a hillsdale college partnership. Anyone can check it out Charlie for hillsdale dot com. And I said that virtue should be rewarded by parents, such as kids that take hillsdale online courses versus playing violent video games or goofing around and on TikTok all day long. And that your Christmas gifts should be distributed to children versus based on the, let's say, based on the decisions your children make, and also whether or not they're good kids versus bad kids. Got a lot of pushback on that. Some parents agreed most disagreed. They said you don't know what it's like because you're not a parent, fair enough. That's fine, but I was raised by parents that would always say, hey, if you don't behave, you're not gonna get good gifts. And it worked. David, what is the Bible say, what is your book say about this? Well, we start with this premise that life itself is not a gift. And we have a world that has been so dunked in soft socialism and a welfare state that anybody that's lacking anything is seen as some kind of great moral crisis. And the idea, you know, we're the wealthiest country in the history of the world at the wealthiest time of our country. And people have, you know, there's so many parents right now that are buying gaming computers for their kids. They're sold out all over the place. They're like a thousand bucks a pop. I mean, think about getting think about when you were a kid, Charlie, your parent, like getting you a $1000 just for the heck of it. Just getting because you need to, you need to TikTok more or whatever. We don't understand this concept of earning things. It's kind of left. Justice is all about what's owed and what's being worse, right? Exactly. Right. I owe you something. If I harmed you as a debt, that's right. Justice is all about debt. That's why in the lord's prayer Luke chapter 11 and says, you know, our father who are in heaven Halloween, you're him. Forgive us our debts as we forgive those who owe us debts. It literally uses the terminology debts because justice is about debts being owed or being not owed. When we come into the world, God doesn't give us life and say you can do whatever you want with it. He says, I have a specific set of instructions for you. I want you to be fruitful. I want you to multiply. I want you to diminish darkness. I want you to be kind. I want you to be just. I want you to be good. Those are the things. And if you're not those things, then you are in debt to God because you're wasting the life he's given

Biden's Child Tax Credit Could Create a Massive Expansion of the Welfare State

"What the heritage foundation writes about what Biden wants to do with the child, tax credit. In reality, he's proposing a massive expansion of the welfare state. Except he's calling it a child allowance. In the policy relies upon the child credit tech credit. Now think about a tax credit. That means you pay taxes, right? Well, he's expanding it for people that don't pay taxes. They don't have jobs. Rather than providing tax relief, the plan would give cash grants to families who do not work or work comparatively comparatively little. The Clinton era welfare reform understood that paying able bodied people not to work with good for neither society, nor recipients. Such payments tend to push individuals out of the labor force and toward the margin of society, impeding upward mobility for both adults and children. In reality the plan would offer zero long-term tax relief to working families with children. Even in the short term, some 75% of the aid would go to cash grants to families who owe no income tax. Contrary to the Biden administration rhetoric the primary focus would not be taxed relief, but the elimination of all work requirements and work incentives from the current child credit program. Under the current system, a family must earn at least $2500 during the year to be eligible for the cash grants. The Biden shallow allowance policy seeks to rip out these work requirements and incentive credit explicitly overturning the principles of welfare reform. Under the Biden plan, the federal government would for the first time in a quarter century provide unconditional cash grants to families who choose not to work during the year.

Bidenflation Cost Each Household $3,500 This Year

"Suffering through for the last year is going to cost families and additional $3500 this year. The average family has to spend $3500 more. Or did in 2021 just to live like they did in 2019 in 2020. Think about that. $3500 more. That hurts. I mean, the money has to come from somewhere. According to the study, lower income groups spent relatively more on food, energy, and shelter while higher income groups spent relatively more on other commodities and services. And when you look at consumption across all those income groups, what you see is that the bottom 20% of American families saw the price of their consumption. What they need their food, their energy, their shelter, increase. 6.8%. The top 5% of all income earning families in America. They only experienced a 6.1% increase in what they have to pay to consume goods. So still a high increase, but nonetheless, less, less than what your average American season, you know what for your average American it hurts a whole lot more. Inflation hurts inflation is a tax and instead of acting appropriately and saying, we're going to fix this, we're going to lower inflation what does he do? He says we need to spend more. I mean, tell me if that makes sense to you. How do you spend more to lower the cost of goods? I mean, let's just, you know, basic econ one O

"So that's one of the cool social features of game fight that we hopefully can bring to life as well. But one of the things that we are not copying it in that sense, but we are being inspired by their scholarship program. So roughly two or three or four weeks after we have launched the first version of neem or Chris game, we will introduce a very cool thing in the mimic this game. And that is that after you have played X amount of one versus one quest games. After we have played X amounts of live shows. So it's a activity based criteria. Combined with an achievement criteria. So you have to have at least 50% or higher win ratio. So if I play against Travis, I will for sure have a winning streak of more than 50%. We all know that. Man, he is bringing the smack game deal. But also if you have also one. Live show, then you can actually mint and NFT in our game. So you get that NFT connected to your avatar in the game and you're using name. And with that comes some great powers. Just like Odin, who drank from meme as well, you will also receive some very powerful things in the memo world. And that is that you can actually create your own live quiz shows. So since we are centered around a business model, where we take a rake out of every game that is played with a prize pool. The majority of that rake is sent back into our reward pool, rewarding people. We play our games, but a minor part of that goes into our company reserve since we are a company. We also have a must have a profitable business model. But what we let people do here once they have minted the quiz master NFT is that they can now put off their own games. So they can have live quiz shows that are set up in and will be able to people in the game. We'll be able to register for your quest events. And the price pool that they interfere is that people pay to enter, go into the prize pool, and that is the price pool that people are competing for. That rake that we take from that game will then also be shared with that person who has put up that game. So in essence, you once you have meant to this Chris monster NFT can actually put up games where you earn money for people paying the entry fee and participating in this fund live question. So that's a really cool thing. That is a really cool thing. And I think you're very overconfident about how great I am at trivia. I mean, I'm okay with that. But I think this is going to be exciting. So let me ask you this. So there's a lot of people on discords that have like, you know, trivia bots and they play trivia within their own individual community. Is this going to be something maybe that could be utilized this model was like turn it into little modules that could go in the Discord and allow various different communities to compete against each other?.

"So we will be listed on the 4th of November on uni swap, where people can find us. And we're also listing on gates that IO the big centralized exchange on the 4th of November as well through that IEO that will lead to a listing. After the IO is completed. And after that, the mema token is live. Out on the market. And just a couple of days later, aiming to have it all released so that players can download and enjoy the fun on Sunday, the 7th of November. So you can find it in Google Play and App Store and start just realize this. I didn't realize this before Victor, but meme IR, which is which is the name of the project. Meme is a figure in Norse Norse mythology, renowned for his knowledge and wisdom who was beheaded during this war and God Odin carries around memes head and recites secret knowledge and counsel to him. So that's some diabolical stuff there. Odin is going to carry around an iPhone now. There's actually a lot of symbolism behind the name of mimer and why we have chosen this for our project. So since we're from Sweden, we have our heritage of old Norse mythology, of course, from the Viking age. So we start with us into the modern times. We have not forgotten about the being a meme. So mimer was a creature in the godly world. And meme had a very clear, but very important task. He guarded a sacred well. And in this well, all the knowledge, all the history. And all the wisdom of the world was stored in this well. And it was called the meme as well. So all the creatures in this godly world, they tried to trick me try to bribe him tried to do anything to get their tongue to touch that water and drink out of meme as well. But he was doing a good job of keeping people out of that well until one day outing came up to him and actually poked his own eye out and gave me that I to him. That's why oden has only one eye. You'll put your eye out, kid. Well, if someone gives you his eye, I think you should give him some water back, right? So that's exactly what Mimi did. He oden drink out of the meme as well. And he instantly received all this wisdom. All this knowledge and all the history of the world. And with this great power, the first decision he took was to be head mimer, of course. So he carried him on his shoulder and got his advice. He was the original iPhone. Yes, and basically you take his head around and be like, hey, all right, tell me some secret knowledge dude..

"I don't know if you're gonna crush me dude. I don't know, I was the captain of my quiz bowl team in high school. Gauntlet thrown down. Wow, here's all the questions, though, so that's probably true. I don't know. But I've already so rigging Victor. This is rigged. I've already registered the username all father mimer. And I've been drinking from the meme as well since day one, so I have received all the knowledge here. So you will have a tough time. Against me, I can tell you that buddy. I'm a little intimidated. You know what is interesting? It's like, you're even looking back in the history of trivia. I think one of the very first trivia games that was there was like a game show. Wasn't there a game show back in like the 50s or 60s Joel? That cheated. And it was made a breezy Robert Redford made a movie about it called quiz show where basically they fed the guy the answers. Yeah. I know. That's not going to happen though a vector. We saw that problem in the game as well. So how do you solve that problem? Yeah, it's actually something that came along roughly one month ago in our development. So we were contacted by the amazing people at chain link. And one of their cool functions with their blockchain technology is that they have a solution called VRF, which in essence verifies that or assures that all the quiz questions in our games are fetched at random and are provable fair. So we actually utilize that technology to assure our players that the quiz database in one versus one fetch just questions at random and provable fair. So that's a very cool thing. Blockchain solves a lot of trust issues in society. But who would have thought it would solve that part in question games? So that's a very neat function. That is added into the meme request game. So people can always even when you have big stakes in the game, you can always rely on that. No one in the one versus one game. And knows what questions are coming in that sense. So the app is coming actually might be out by the time the show is on. And I was like, sure, when we're airing. So what are the time frames for the token idea and the app launch? Okay, so we're doing a for the meme or token. We're doing a combined launch with an ideo at starter and an IEO at gate dot IO, lots of IOs there. In an EIEIO down on the farm. Well, Ronald McDonald is not joining the token sales. That's old's brother. It's old McDonald that had the farm. Reynolds got a shitty restaurant. That's true. Well, we're doing an initial the central exchange offer..

"And the amazing thing that we have in the meme request game is the blockchain technology. That's the big value add that we come with. And with this powerful technology, we can actually solve a lot of the problems that other quiz games have struggled with. For starters, we can invite the entire world to join us in these fun game shows, both live game shows and warn V one where you can play a normal traditional quest games against random people or friends. And the game is centered around 6 different blockchain technologies. But the highlight here that actually creates a very strong utility is our meme or token so the meme or token is the one and only utility token that are used in all of the meme or world games starting with the meme request game. So the meme or token is used for price distribution, play to earn where people can actually download this game a 100% for free and start playing and just by simply playing our quest games, you are rewarded in mere tokens. So that's something very cool since most quiz games actually cost money. Fiat money on a monthly basis or people play a freemium version where they are actually having limited gaming options that are stuck with these annoying ads. So our business model is centered around the providing all the fun that is with quizzing in a 100% free to play environment. But since we have our mima token, that is, of course, a central piece in our business model. So that's the economic the game economic fuel for us in that sense. And the mima token will be listed on a centralized exchange called gate IO to start out with. And we're also launching it on uni swap. Our business model is centered around also taking a rake for each of the games that have a price pool in them. So price pools are come from people who have bought me murtaugh's and stake them before entering a game in order to build up a price pull. So you and I Travis could play a one week one game later when they request game launches. And if you were daring enough embold, you would go into our play to win version of the game where you can stake mere tokens before entering a game. Then you could invite me to play for a hundred meter tokens or even a thousand nema tokens. And then we would both send in that amount into the price for the safe escrow that holds the nema tokens. And after I've crushed Travis in this game, I would receive 2000 nema tokens minus D 5% rake that we take on these games..

"Lot of people did this HQ trivia was a huge success, they actually had 25 million downloads on the American market, the first year. And that their peak. Wow. They actually had 2.5 million Americans joining in at the same time to play a quiz game together. Where the winners shared a price together. But even though this concept was a super smashing success in every way, when you look at the gameplay, I recommend everyone listening to this to just go on YouTube and type in HQ trivia. They have amazing hosts. It's amazing game. But since they're handling Fiat money, they have huge limitations, so with Fiat money or when you center a game around paying people in Fiat money, the biggest, the biggest limitation that comes with that domain is that you can't send that money across nation borders. So even though they had a very popular game concept, and even though a lot of people played this game, they could not grow beyond their own borders. And that is a huge limitation. So this game concept spread also like wildfire. All across the world, we have one here in the Nordics called prime time. They are centered in Sweden. They have a another version of their app in Finland, Denmark, Norway. And this is also in China called millionaire heroes. It's pretty much all over the world. It's a global phenomenon. Yeah. Yes. And that's because trivia is a global phenomenon. Everyone can relate it. You don't have to explain what a quest game is. Everyone knows it. So that's one of the main highlights of why quizzing and trivia games are so powerful in that sense. Because everyone can relate to them. Yeah. So Victor is big is headquarters trivia was or trivia headquarters, whatever the correct terminology is, they had some problems. Beyond the Fiat currency, didn't they have to file for bankruptcy? Yeah, not sure on the exact terms, but yes, they did run out of money. And that is crazy in a sense because just a couple of months after they launched this game, that was super successful in the terms of the gameplay. They were valued at $100 million and VC companies just through money Adam. But I think it was like a year or a year and a half later, they just ran out of money because their business model didn't add up at the end of the day. And that's because they are centered around Fiat money. And that Fiat money has to come from some place, right? And the way that they orchestrated it in terms of their business model was that they had a very exciting game show that a lot of people joined..

"Bit. Just tell us a little bit about yourself, your history and what led you to app creation on blockchain. For sure. So from starters, my name is Victor soda Mark. I'm a Swede. So being a sweet, yes, sweet, Swedish fish. So I've always been sort of an entrepreneur in a way. I've had my different kind of businesses out here in Sweden. But roughly 5 years ago, I stumbled upon this crazy thing called the blockchain and crypto. And once I went down that rabbit hole, I've never really looked back I've been researching learning, studying and advising different crypto projects here from Sweden. But I've also been a retail investor. So I've been on both ends of that playing field. But this is the first time that we're doing a something of this magnitude that we are actually founders and launching our own token. We're launching our own game. So it's a massive production and lots of exciting things when you start to scratch the surface and the crypto sphere that you perhaps not never see if you're just a retail investor if you're just interested in crypto. So this has been a crazy 5 month period diving into that part of the rabbit hole. So that's a short summary of how I got into blockchain. But other than that, I've always been a sort of a hobby gamer. I love knowledge and quiz games. So this has been around for ages. The trivia history is something that is in our DNA. And that's a very cool thing about the game concept that we are releasing with the meme request app that we're actually targeting a very big market. Trivia games and quiz games are a universal phenomena. In essence, I think I always say this that I will give a $1000 worth of meme.

Basically i'm i i i feel like it's it's very important for people to understand that and i feel like to me for me at least school fucked it up for me i had to like. I don't know reconstruct my brain to go. It's okay to learn what you love. It's okay to learn what you wanna know. What took you to learn Any feel that you wanna be in moore. You don't have to. I made me hate learnable. It was almost like okay sid. Now listen to us. Here's what we're doing his homework. Or here's classwork. If you don't friends classwork classwork his homework on top of this homework that i'm gonna give us like yo- like nobody wants to do that. Like i wanna go home watch dragon. Ball z. if play with my friends be might meet like. Let me be free like you. What i'm saying. I'm saying i mean noticed that you'd think it school funding teachers because pizza's because it's the teachers. Got a certain temple assignments what you gotta do for the year and it's really up to the professor to construct a class. You'll be having had english. Professors of that made me hate shakespeare. The one them we love it. It's all about how they construct a class. Because i had economics class boogie. All about the approach there. You go 'cause it's like you're p at economics t to rely on. He had to start competing against each other so we could do stocks. Have pretend money. We actually played in the stock market. And whoever won you know not only. Everybody got a good grade. 'cause we participate with whoever won a prize. I forgot what the prize was. What does an incentive. I could use that to date versus you know trigonometry anonymous other stuff like i didn't really care for even though i'm good at math com- compared to like that's my thing but they're saying things they need. Say that as fact i'm designed. That's that's the thing of. You didn't have to the reflection because detail number guy. That's the whole overthinking overshooting. So let me backtrack. So like you said like i said it depends on the teacher and it depends on you know the curriculum and how to use it in the school. That's what made us dislike the teacher that taught me more and one class. Then i didn't in all dirty classes. I take whatever the situation was. So everything's a process but like the whole earn what you learn is his the remix to it you got some people like me to were detail. I'm gonna go crazy with the research. Crate dumps the with the research to the point where our look up something five different videos five different ways when i got the first time second time when his i know maybe there's five oh different ways to do it over research and then i lose like i would think why i gotta rewatch the video again because i forgot the last two videos information that provided my advice to any musician or his creator friend person who watches heavy gary v videos. Like me sometime is this. Why are you watching the video. Do as video says even like i'd be at work sounds on watching informative. Videos are screenshots. And i need to remember. Oh i haven't no pad in a write it down real quick on my phone so i could just remember what was ended willett points and i try not to overwrite sentences because then i ain't gonna remember too simple flights like a third grade level and remember the points and then you'll remember when you write things down to remember things then you try to remember at the top of the dome agree as very true but that's warming by an what you lying because best really the people that do the research you're doing more in my opinion than fifty to sixty percent of everybody and the people would ask you offer the research that they've done immediately. You probably doing better than ninety. You feel even if failing he's still doing better than ninety percent of my opinion because guess what you're figuring as as you go because you got a little kids davies. That's what we do. Everybody who got appears five or xbox whatever ain't nobody read the guide and we instruction you start figuring it out as you start playing. That's it like most games you get a blaze somebody in the game in prison. Whatever in the controller and in the being you know house is happening because you're so distracted like heidi beating me right now and i don't play and he started working as As i saw. I'll give you this as is so you got a lotta dues right as let me ask you this. What is your plans like. What is your play when it comes to like dropping humidity or coming up with music to find fans like what are you doing me personally. I've talked yang focusing.

"Before streaming services. Let you cue up whatever you wanted to watch on your smart tv. There were video stores. Remember those if you wanted to watch a movie you drop by and pick up the latest action flick for yourself and maybe a classic disney movie or a video game for the kids. The number of video stores has been steadily decreasing since netflix's launched in nineteen ninety-seven. But now it's time to mark the end of an era after forty years in the business family video. The last of the national video store chains is closing its doors family video outlasted most of its competitors and had roughly five hundred stores at the beginning of two thousand twenty but the last video rental chain standing ended the year with roughly half that number according to retail dive. Dad insult to injury before family video. Shut its doors briefly in march. It enjoyed its best weekend. In recent memory as people grabbed a few videos to enjoy during the pandemic initial shutdown but ultimately a trifecta of both was more than the chain could withstand the wall street journal reports. I there was the business. Impact of covid nineteen shutdowns. Then more people opted for streaming services netflix hulu and company increase their combined subscriber base by fifty percent by the end of last year. Three out of four us households now subscribe to at least one streaming service and finally. There's the ongoing delay of new releases on the big screen which meant that. There was nothing new coming out on video. While a smattering of independent stores remained around the country. Video store chains mostly went the way of the dinosaur a decade ago. That's when the big players in the space including certain blockbuster closed most of their stores. Today blockbuster has one remaining store in bend oregon. In addition to video reynolds that location survives as a tourist attraction which sells its own maiden oregon merchandise according to a report in vice. While you're there you can pick up a laminated replica of a blockbuster membership card and a distress t shirt. That says i survived along with the last blockbuster. The stores reopened with safety and social distancing guidelines in place. So how did family video lasted decade longer than it's much bigger. Competitors and a dying industry two words real estate the chain owned most of its locations so it could shrink store footage and sublet the remaining space to stay profitable according to retail dive chain like blockbuster and hollywood video and other competitor were mostly leased which offered them little flexibility in controlling costs and because family video is well family owned the hoogland family could call the shots instead of answering to shareholders. Many of us love our streaming services and the ability to get the shows and movies. We want when we want them still. There's always a touch of nostalgia when something goes away. Future generations will never know that thrill of finding the last copy of a hot new release on the shelves or the stress of racking up. A stomach churning amount of late charges because you forgot to return the movie on time

"Your good works are in response to God's love they are not to earn God's love you see my life is being transformed. I already mentioned this. I will not be the same man ten years from now that I am today. I'm not the same man today that I was forty years ago. Why am I different? It's not because I had to change these things so that God will accept me. It's because he accepted me just the way I am. I want to be better. It's because he loved me and my sin I want to get. I want to make him happy. And there's a big difference between wanting to please the Lord and wanting to accept me because wanting the Lord to expect except me and working to get them to accept me as futile. It's it's foolish. It will never work but because he loved me and took me in. I want to please him now. Nobody ever loved me the way Jesus loved me. Someone say men and I'll give you that story to help you understand that some of you were here when this was taken place when I when I bought this building couple of quite a few of. That's good to see we. I bought this building when we first bought this building. It was one little toilet in a back room over here and one little toy backroom over there and I walked in and I said what are the first things we got to do. Is We put some we've got? We've got to remodel the bathrooms. We need better facilities if we want the church to grow. Ain't no way you can have. Two hundred people fit them into one. Toilet excuse me for preaching crudely on a Sunday morning but as much as I've been able to do around here. That was a bigger job than I could handle. I I come to plumbing and my son was living down south. My son in law is living down South as seen which I love you. Joe Referred to as my son sees a son-in-law my son was living down south so he wasn't around and here was this big job ahead of me and I had. I didn't know what to do except call a friend. My dear friend brother Stephen Beatty. I called brother Beta. Who is a? He's a phenomenal plummer. Also and asked him for his advice and he said yet yes. I'll tell you what you need to do and I'll come and help you. So he came here from old again. He came here. He planned on spending one week to do this. Get this job done and while we were here some of you will remember that. It was during that week that the first lady had her stroke. And so I'm here over. I'm over my head I'm way over my head into work that was going on. It's way beyond my my ability or the baby was supposed to be leaving in five. Forget what day was but it was a week later supposed to be leaving in about two days before he was supposed to leave. The first lady had a stroke and so now we're back and forth to the hospital and thank God for my daughter in those days. Because she was she's just took over and was at the hospital. And you know encourage me to go back and work by the bay to get it done and and it was. It was the night before brother beatty was supposed to leave. He's supposed to leave the next morning and we had just come from the hospital where my wife was in the hospital with a with a major show had lost half of her body as you know and I was. I was like my head was like a fog like I was. I was disoriented. I didn't know it was just. It was more than physically or mentally emotionally could handle and I walked back into this building and I looked at the job. That was still yet ahead of me and this man was scheduled to leave in the morning and I think he could see the look on my face. I think he could see the hopelessness in my spirit. And I will never forget the day. We stood right back here right back. Where the baptistery is and he looked me in the eye and he said. Rick I will not leave you alone in. This condition called his wife he said. I'm not sure I'll be home. I'm going to be here for a while he stayed. He labored for several days to get the job done. God moved in because he miraculously raised my wife up from a serious stroke and brought her home that next day and the morning after she got home she was making breakfast for us. Thank God I'm telling you all this. I'm telling you all this because I want you to understand something today if brother Beatty called me up when this service was over and said I'm in trouble I would drop everything I would call my daughter and say you need to take over taking care of your mom. I gotta go. Where are you going? I gotTA DRIVE OUT TO ONLY. Ny brought the baby needs me. Why would I do that? Why would I do anything for that man? Why because he I gave to me. I didn't buy it from them. I did not have the money to pay him. What he was worth he came. He came freely. Stood there with me. He saw the condition I was in. He realized I couldn't do it on my own. He stepped up and said I will not leave you alone. I will stay here until the job is done. I'm going to get you through this. And he did it and he walked away. I didn't give him money to get him to come. I didn't I wasn't the a great friend that had been at his building. Doing all kinds of construction with him and he ordered me. He owed me nothing and he gave me everything and because he gave me everything. I will do anything he needs me to do. Anything set all that. So you can understand how I feel about Jesus because I came to Jesus. The old song writer said weary warn and sad and he took my sins away then he keeps seeing it every day and good nothing to get him to always to me. He owed me nothing and gave me everything then because he gave me everything. I will do anything he asked me to do. That's why I live for him. I'm not trying to earn his salvation. Thank him for his salvation. God that's how love works. She I loved us and now I love him so much. Say Man Songwriter. Wrote this song. Brother Jameson sings the Song I love it. Maybe I'll ask him to sing it before I spoke a word you were singing over me. You've been so good to me before I took a breath. You breathe your You've been so good to me. All the overwhelming never ending reckless love of God at chases me down it fights. Tom Found in a leave. The ninety nine I couldn't earn it and I don't deserve it still you gave yourself away. Oh the overwhelming never ending reckless love of God. Can you say men when I was your foe still youth? Your love fought for me. You have been so good to me when I felt no worth. You paid it all for me to you. I was worth dying for. You've been so kind to me. There's no shadow you won't light up. There's no mountains. You will climb up coming after me. There's no wall you won't kick down. There's no law. You won't tear down coming after me. The overwhelming never-ending reckless love of God. Why do I live like this? Because he gave me his all. I WANNA give them all back not on it. It's to say thank you. I'll do well. Jesus how do you want me to live? What do you want to do and when I fail as we all do? What do I find at the mercy? See the grace to help in the time of need when I don't deserve he's just always. There Leah finally came to this understanding because look what happens with child number four. She finally got with child number. Four you're ready for this. She conceived again and she bore a son and she said this time. I will just praise the Lord. I don't need this world's love this world offers me. I don't need this. World has no offer I am just going to praise the Lord and she named that. Child Judah Judah produced even know what praise the Lord produced at produce the Messianic Line that Jesus was born under produce are salvaged. Turn what she said for Gig all this on. Just GonNa praise the Lord. Just go to praise the Lord Jesus was born and we are saying because somebody said I can't earn it. I don't deserve it but I love him today. Do you love him today? Somebody stand up and clap your hands and shout to the Lord..

"Second Corinthians Chapter Three the Bible tells us but we all with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of Lord. Our listen to me we are being transformed. I'm not what I'm going to be but I'm not what I was. I am being transformed every time. I behold his image. I want to be more like him. That's why I pray that's why I come to church. That's why I worship I want to behold because I want to walk away more like him than I was when I first came. You saw me when I first came in. I'm a different man today. You Go away move away. Do something back in ten years. I'll be a different man ten years from now that I am today but thank God every day. I want to be more like him and in order to do that. We have to overcome. What Leah eventually overcame trying to on her husband's love when the Lord saw Genesis. Twenty Nine Chapter Chapter Twenty Nine Verse Thirty. One thirty two. When the Lord saw that Leah was hated he opened her womb. She'll love that. Leah wasn't ugly to him she might have been ugly to her husband maybe to her sister maybe to their servants maybe to their family in fact everybody knew was ugly. Her own father knew she was ugly. Can that possibly happen? Yes it can. I felt sorry for my daughter Shoshana. For the first year of her life she cannot of the womb ugly duckling. I kid you not my son cannot. I looked at him and my first words when my son was born they put him in my arms. I looked to him. I said I said he is beautiful. My daughter can out and I said I'm GonNa love her anyway. I'm just being honest. She knows it she just ignoring me right now and then one year when she turned one. I don't know what happened. She went from the Ugly Duckling into this beautiful. I looked after I was growing up with Tom. I won't even tell my wife. I feel sorry for her father. What are you shaking your head for who you are but you got you got a daughter you looking at me shaking your head like I know what you're talking about which she turned one. She went from the Ugly Duckling into the Beautiful Swan. I don't know what happened. What transformation took place but she is. She turned out to be the most beautiful little girl and I fell in love with her. Then that's I love to read from the get go but is she beautiful more beautiful pregnant and she. I think she should do it again. After this when you came in and you I showed up. There might have been people looking around and you think you were ugly. Just like they leah was on her own. Father thought she was ugly. He had to sneak her into the tent to get her married off the final deceive a man. I'll never get rid of her. That's the way Laban felt snuck her into the tent so they're now you got her back in those days. Consummating embarrassments them. You got her now but I served you for for for Rachel. You can have Rachel another seven years. We take her for. I gotta get rid of her men I got. I'm just going to stand up even read. What I what I'm trying to say is everybody knew Leo was ugly. Everybody knew that. And the Lord said everybody may think she's ugly but I love her just way she is. And if this world is GONNA reject her. I will take her in and I will give her her heart's desire. Aren't you glad you've got a heavenly father? That no matter what the world says he will take you in and wrap his arms of love around you. And when the Lord saw the Leila's hated he opened her womb. It was a big deal back. In those days and be able to have a baby he opened her womb and left. Rachel Barron. You got good. Lucks but no kids. Some people got good looks and no integrity my wife and thank God for first lady but she was a good mother she would tell my daughter who after one years old turned into the Beautiful Swan? She drilled into her head from the time she could understand the English language she famous words of the First Lady. Pretty is as pretty. Does this because you look good? Doesn't mean a thing unless you act good. Also that's good advice..

"Thank you Jesus. And if you're not already standing and you can stand please do so for the reading of the word of the Lord today and I am reading from the book of Genesis and I am reading from Chapter Twenty Nine beginning with Verse Number Sixteen. Were in Genesis Chapter Number Twenty Nine and beginning with verse sixteen now. Laban had two daughters the name of the older was Lia. The name of the younger was Rachel. Lee is is were weak but Rachel was beautiful in form and appearance. I remember years ago. I believe it was right here. Youth Convention I forget who the preacher was but he was talking about. Leeann how she looked compared to Rachel. And you mentioned that Leah refers being cross eyed. She was so ugly she was cross eyed and then he and then he went on to say that she was so so cross. I she could see right behind her so he was a pretty funny guy. Can't remember what his name was but he was pretty funny preacher but he was talking about Leeann and Rachel and the competition you by say going on here between a sister who did couldn't hold a candle to a younger sister and the battle she faced must have faced in life and then what happened to her here of course for seventeen again. Leah's eyes were weak. But Rachel was beautiful in form and appearance and Jakup loved Rachel and he said I will serve you seven years. This is to Rachel's father Lebron I will serve you seven years for your younger daughter. Rachel Lebron said it is better that I give her to you than that. I should give her to any other man. Stay with me. So Jacob served seven years for Rachel and they seemed to him but a few days because of the love that he had for her. Then Jacob said to Laban give me my wife that I may go into her for my time is completed so Leben gathered together all of the people of the place and made a feast but in the evening he took his daughter Leah and he brought her to Jacob and he went into her Laban Verse Twenty Four Says He gave his female servant Zilkha to his daughter Leah to be Your Servant Verse Twenty Five says that in the morning behold it was Leah. He thought he had married Rachel. Now back in those days. The ceremony was the consummation of the wedding. That should still be the ceremony. But the consummation of that wedding was or that the union is what what took place in that you're married and he woke up and realized that he had consummated his his wedding with Lia in the morning. It was Leah. He woke up and looked in the dark. He didn't know when the morning light shine through that tent window and saw Leah's face imagine the shock on him in the morning. Behold it was Leah and Jacob Said Delay Been. What is this you've done to me? Did I not serve you for Rachel? Why have you then deceive me? Laban said well it's not so done in our country to give the younger before the firstborn he said complete the week of this one. They went through a week of ceremonial process before the marriage was finished. He said complete the week of this one and we will give you the other one also in return for serving me for another seven years. So Jacob did so you completed her week and then Laban gave him his daughter Rachel Wife Lay gave his female servant bill hot to his daughter Rachel to be her servant and I wanted to point something. I want to point something out to hear the Bible says so Jacob went into Rachel also and he loved Rachel. More than Leah. I must learfield about this. She was forced into a relationship with a man that didn't love her. And now this man has her younger sister who he really loved and she's got to live with this guy as her husband knowing that she's not loved as much as is her sister. So Jacob went into Rachel also and he loved Rachel more than Leah and he served Laden another seven years for Rachel. I WanNa talk to you about this story a little bit today and in so doing. I'm going to name this message. Trying to earn your salvation trying to earn your salvation. Can We pray together? Lord Jesus we love you we thank you for your blessings and for the goodness of the Lord that we feel here today. I pray that you will anoint. These lips of clay. I pray that you will touch my mind in my heart. You know the physical stress that this church is under right now and I pray God that by your spirit you will revive us for the service to hear the word of the Lord that you've laid upon my heart to speak to us to help us understand our relationship with you in the name of the Lord. Jesus I pray by Your Spirit. Everyone said Amen. God bless you can be seated. How about we give Jesus one more hand clap of praise? Let's love him. Give Him the glory and the honor that he's worthy of today. Thank you Jesus thank you. Jesus thank you Jesus. Praise the Lord of host men. Amen and I just WanNa say today that I believe many of us. If we think through can relate to Leila's troubles and Leah's mindset and how Lia feels about the circumstances that she's in because I know for fact because of many people that I've spoken to I've a spurious this myself as I'm sure probably you have that we are. It's very easy for us. Sometimes to fall into the trap of thinking that Oh a I don't Wanna I don't WanNa say anything that's but sometimes it's easy for us to fall into the trap of thinking that God loves other people more than he loves us. Sometimes we fall into the trap of thinking that other people have a place in God that we don't have and that God does things for other people that he would never do for me and he blesses other people the way he wouldn't bless me and the reason for that is oftentimes we develop through life life pizzas down into this and it's our adversaries the devil our adversary the devil's job to try to reinforce it to give us an in theory. Feary authority complex so that we do not feel up to par with everybody else. We look around sometimes and we think everybody else has it together but we see our faults. We see our failures and we think we are the only one. That's not doing everything exactly rights. Can someone saying that? Say we're all in this boat together rolling this bolt together even though we know the Bible tells us that God himself has no respecter of persons. Now what that means is there? Isn't anybody in this building that God loves more than he loves you. You feel like you're the least of these and yet the truth is there. Is Nobody anywhere? Who Ever lived including the Apostle Paul and the apostle Peter who Jesus loved more than he loves you right now. We need to understand that. And we don't we don't understand that and so what happens to us as we fall into the trap of feeling like now we may not consciously do this but subconsciously we fall into this trap of feeling like we have to do certain things to earn our love and more importantly according to my title today. Earn our salvation. How many of you know you don't deserve to be saved? Have you know? There's nobody that has ever lived from the moment. Eve took that first bite sense that moment in time and then gave it to her husband and he also that meant they did not deserve to be saved and how many of you know that there is no one sense that moment in time that deserves heaven. Aren't you glad he is not dealt with us after our iniquities? Thank you Jesus but we go through life and we get this mindset. How many of you really been on fire for God when you had a good week living forum since last Sunday Emmanuel prayed every day and you felt God every day and fasted twice this week and worst and your read. Your Bible came to I- raring to go. I did good this week and then next week you failed because whatever got it. Got The best of you and you ended up. You've missed a few days in prayer in case you missed a few. Why bother now my talking to somebody? I'm prayed in three days. Why bother now? Because he's still waiting for you to come into his presence to come boldly before his throne we come to church and we're on top of the world rare into go worshipping. God because we had a good week and then next week we might come back. Hang our heads lift on our hands. Not because we don't love him but because we think we have an earned the rate.
