"93. W RBC, except for Tony gets Tony back tomorrow. You guys go back to talking about mass mandates and critical race theory and all that other fun stuff? Just kidding. Just kidding. Just kidding. Then I will give each other a hard time. Love like my brother. In just a few minutes. We'll be joined by telephone with our good friend, Reverend Charles Harris of the 10 Point Coalition to try to find out what the heck is going on. In Indianapolis Over over Labor Day weekend, five people murdered We won this morning, and in the time that I got off the I took a break like at 6 55 I There was another person shot near 25th in Keystone. Like what the hell people Granted. It's early morning. And I don't expect the mayor or city Council to, you know? Be up this early have a news conferences. But Good Lord. Yeah, I do something. Is this ladies and gentlemen is ridiculous. I've said it once before. And I'll say it again. When his honor the mayor. Announced he's going to take those millions of dollars of covid money. And use it for public safety. It was the higher new police officers know spend on mental health. Or grant funding. I was like, okay? That's fine. But what do you do when the money runs out because it would remind me of was back in the early nineties, when Bill Clinton had his 100,000 new New cops program. Where they invested the money and police officers. Then eventually The money ran out. So while the numbers went up Eventually, numbers went back down again because the funding disappeared. And so as police departments, uh, saw some of the older folks retire. One of things they didn't do was replaced them because they don't have the money to replace them. So we ended up back in the same boat that we were. Before. And also something else to the pondered. Ladies and gentlemen. Is. Is that this line of rationale that well, crime is up everywhere. And the murder rate is up in all in every city in America, blah, blah, blah, blah was like well. Even the city America is my problem. It's like when your kid comes home and failed the test. And he says, Well, Dad, everybody failed. I'm not concerned about everybody. I'm concerned about you..

"By the early nineties, and in 1991, the company first announced it was working on a home video game system peripheral, that would be a VR headset. At the time, virtual reality had generated a lot of buzz and excitement. This was back during the first real frenzy around virtual reality. This was the one that would eventually result in a bubble collapsing in on itself and destroying an entire group of technologies for about a decade. But in 1991 VR seemed like it was going to be the next big thing. So Sega had a big prototype to show off in 1993 at various trade shows, and it planned to release the consumer model in 1994. At least that's what they announced. Headset featured a pair of LCD screens and speakers that would fit over your ears. It had sensors for head tracking, and there were at least a few games that were in development for the peripheral and then said to stop talking about it all mention of the VR headset disappeared later, the company would claim that the problem was that the experience of the headset delivered was just too darn realistic. And that there was a fear that users might hurt themselves while wearing the headset because everything was too gosh darn real when you wore it, But some people said that maybe there were other issues that play here, such as some Problems with head tracking the resolution on the screens might not have been very good. Or maybe there were real problems with latency that tends to lead to a nauseating experience in VR latency is that lag you experience between performing an action and having something actually happen in the game. So an example in the yards that you're wearing the headset and you turn your head to the left. And then I half second. After you turn your head. Your view starts to change. And there's that lag between what you see what you've done and what you actually see happening, And that kind of gives you this sort of Uncomfortable motion sickness. It's very off flooding, but we never had to put off Sega VR heads. That's because they never came out. I've got a lot more vaporware to talk about in just a minute. But first, let's take a quick break to thank our sponsor..

"In Portland, A riot broke out in downtown overnight in the one year anniversary of George Floyd's murder by a Minneapolis police officer. KFBK is Michael Kastner reports around 200 people gathered outside of the Multnomah County Justice Center, some lighting fires and fireworks. Others vandalizing the center and city hall. Police say demonstrators yell burn the building down in reference to the Justice Center. They also say some through frozen water bottles and eggs of police. Demonstrators later broke windows at some stores and restaurants downtown Michael Kastner news 93.1 kfbk When that leads us nicely into this hour's featured audio clip, we're coming up on 605 would do this five minutes past every hour and our program we bring you a perspective that maybe you did not see or hear on a network newscast or local newscast. While most national media outlets spent a significant amount of their coverage yesterday, marking the one year anniversary of the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Few of them covered this angle. Since the death of George Floyd, nearly 200 Minneapolis officers have left the force here is what a former Minneapolis police officer named Steve Dykstra told Fox News. It is our featured audio clip this hour. Well, this goes back. Before George Floyd. Sense around 2015. I know the city. Minneapolis has been backpedaling, taking tools away from police to enforce the law and keep the streets safe. I see that George Floyd Advantis Tragic is awas as Kind of a build up of years of backpedaling by the police. When when police don't have any tools to use anymore, they They feel pretty helpless out there. Um, you take away loitering laws. Pursuit ability of pursuit vehicles. You don't have to stop for the police in Minneapolis anymore. Thanks to Mayor Fry in the city Council, that is Mark, wait. I have to get frustrated. Wow. And you see is chaos. Violence and real curtain crime. 200 officers have left that force since George Floyd's death and in a lot of mother good cops, you know, the good ones are leaving. Well, I understand his point about officers feeling helpless, but You know, you can't excuse what happened? No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Nobody's excusing the bad behavior. But the reality is is that officers are leaving. They're not feeling the support another good cops. And then and then we just had the story in Sacramento. They're going another different direction at a time in places like Saint Louis or de funding officers. They're adding more police officers in Sacramento. You know, it seems like which is a good idea to add the police officers and also at the programs to assist the police officers handled the situation, of course, like the mental health issues and that sort of thing. Absolutely. I mean, those those programs where they have combined the two to go out have been successful so far. Well, we wanted to bring you that aspect of the story because much of the reporting yesterday did not. Clued that which is a full as a full picture of the whole story. Exactly. So okay, I'm gonna give you three things. And you tell me what decade there from? Okay. Acid washed jeans, Uh, scratches and Newt Gingrich. Eighties. Close, like late eighties early nineties, right, so new. Gingrich is back on the scene, apparently, and he is sitting down with former president Trump also the Trump's former chief of staff, Mark Meadows, and Senator Lindsey Graham. They all got together and Mar a Lago. And, you know, maybe you played some golf. I don't know, but they're coming up with a new contract. For America. Oh, you're kidding. Contract with America. Remember Newt Gingrich in the contract with America? It turned out to be a wildly successful for Newt Gingrich his political career. They're all sitting down to talk about what a new version of this would look like. That is very interesting. So there especially when we talk about the makeup of the Republican Party and the fight for control, Right, right. I mean math Vitus, still yet to be won by either side is not manifested itself. Yeah, but that is what's going on, apparently behind the scenes. In the Morrow lock that is a brand new development and it's a very interesting one of new contract for America. I wonder what they would call it like two point. Oh, that's what everyone ever nice to call things to point on. All right, they're using that template that OK time now for the top national stories. From ABC News. I'm Sherry Preston, the Manhattan district attorney's office, announcing that a special grand jury has been ceded to decide whether criminal charges are warranted against the Trump Organization. ABC News has learned that witnesses have already been contacted about appearing before the grand jury, which is set to meet three days a week for up to six months. ABC News chief Washington correspondent Jonathan Karl It's the kind of step that a prosecutor takes when they have evidence of a crime. And are preparing to move forward with charges. Of course. Ultimately, it'll be up to that grand jury to decide whether or not those charges are pursued in a statement, the former president calls it a witch hunt being driven by highly partisan prosecutors. At the White House. President Biden and Vice President Harris met with the family of George Floyd on Tuesday, the Police Reform Act named in Floyd's honor, however, it's still stalled in the Senate. Floyd family described this is a really personal meeting with the president and said bite and renewed his promise to push for real reforms. The president had hoped to get this done by yesterday's anniversary of Floyd's murder. Washington obviously missed that moment. But the president is sounding increasingly optimistic, saying he's hopeful that they can now get this done sometime after Memorial Day, maybe see senior White House correspondent Mary Bruce. According to the CDC. Half of all American adults have been fully vaccinated at this point to get more people the shot Brown University's doctor, She's just as companies should help out. We talk a lot about a hesitancy. I think that's the wrong way to think about it For a lot of working class people, it's not easy to take time off. To figure out where to go. So we've got to make it as easy as possible and give people a chance to recover after they've had their vaccine. If they need a day off fish you wanted to get that day off. He was 94 James Bond, head of Elector Thelma and Louise, a few characters now owned by Jeff Bezos. Amazon's made it official signing agreement to acquire MGM. This is ABC News. Another local D, a. "John Mountain filling informed today and I'm joined by David Horowitz, the author of the critically acclaimed Blitz, Trump will smash the left and win. And David. I guess I should point out how the title of your book it didn't. You didn't say when he will win or how he will win. But But first, let's back up and talk consequences. What does the left have in store for America? What happens if they win? What does a win look like for the left? We're in a war that the Democratic Party's and anti American racist totalitarian party and this war is going to go on for a long time. But if you look at it, it's Trump. They steal the election. That's what I didn't calculate in my book really isn't about with winning. It's about the war against Trump and against America when the Democrats Um, Andre, why he was prevailing a long one. We will prevail. Um So it's it's really it's a history with the Trump Administration and the war against him. And why there is a war. Trump was very well known public figure for 30 years. Before he descended that elevator, escalator and Trump Tower and announced his candidacy. And in those 30 years, nobody ever introduced him. But I think this is Donald Trump or refer to it. This is Donald Trump. Host of the apprenticed and white supremacist invented that slur. In fact, you know, Donald Trump was loved by the left early on back in the late eighties, early nineties, the Democratic Party has abandoned the only liberals in America today are conservatives. Conservatives wanted here two sides they would never think of calling for the deep last forming of the president, United States or destroying somebody's livelihood and career. Because they disagreed with them. Conservatives are liberal people because America is based on classical liberal principles. Democrats are racist and that Look the totalitarian they have conducted a war against the electoral system. Uh, we don't have an election day anymore. We have early voting later Pony. We have 92 million Paper ballots that are easily discarded and rearranged in easy to commit fraud with Uh, you know, the Democrats have just declared war on our systems are against the Electoral college. They want to abolish the Senate. Uh, they've abolished election day like today is no longer the day you You know, cast your vote and counted because that'll leave a lot of time to tweak the system. They don't believe in free speech. David, one of the things you mentioned was that you're right liberal isn't liberal, Doesn't it? Kind of draw from the same root as the word liberty. In other words, the ability to do what you want to do. And all the words they're not progressive. That reactionary marshal. Well, the redefining all these words to mean what they weren't originally you marriages changes meeting man woman. Communism has changed. His meeting and Democrat party is a party of Communists and crooks. Joe Biden is more on the cook site on when they redefined things, they can change the meaning of words and all of a sudden you're guilty of doing something almost like you're guilty of killing someone just because they've changed the definition of the word they used the president, United States of killing 220,000 Corona patients, even though Trump doesn't control one. Single healthcare system. It's the governor's that do we have a federal system and they call him a racist. It's disgusting, and whether whether Republicans say they say all they're playing politics. It's not playing people trying to kill you. It's war. My guest is David Horowitz, the author of the book Blitz. And David. We're Gonna Take a break. When we come back. I want to ask the question. Why is it that republic? Why is it that conservatives always seem to lose? Why do Don't we ever come out of this thing? When we have a war? We seem like they're at war with us. We're not at war with them. Should we be, We'll talk about we come back on Alabama's Morning news. I'm John Mounts in Virgin to news radio 1055 w we are see. "Would have been early nineties early nineties. Murat was up and running back then, but I think that was one of them. I think that was one of the newer ones. Yeah, back then, because that's when they started to build like a. You know, New York, New York. That's when they were taking the old one down and started to build the ones we have same Remo. Look, sir, you saved a lot of you know where I stayed a few times back in the day was the marina. Now That's old school. The marina is where the MGM is now. Really right across the street had no proper Cana. Yeah, Tropicana. That's a huge piece of property Mike in Trump can is. But May we stayed there A couple of game five years ago, just got a great deal. And so we stay in there and we get done. Golfing would go into the the room hanging out room Look pretty nice meals, you know, big suite and had the big TV and there we could watch the basketball games. So I said, Well, I go, Teo, take a bath so that they had the big Jacuzzi bath and everything. So I got the Jacuzzi bath all the right temperature, and I'll sit in the bath. Literally. I was in there for, like, three minutes. It was like a knock on the door. Knock on what? I could not go on the damn door. We're not gonna damn door form taken. It did Okay, someone's at the door. The high guy had to put on a towel without the guy's like going to need you to drain the drain the Jacuzzi and I'm like what? He goes, what's leaking, it was leaking down the outside of the building. That was leaking way actually left the building like we just gotta go. Okay, Screw it. Let's just go over to watch the MGM to watch some of the games and you could see like where they are room was and you could see water like.

"Come back in the early ninety's the Orlando Magic. You know that when the advisers of the time I took a piece paper wrote $100 lives. He ripped it in half and he said, You spend this half and saved the other half. None of you will be on a great start. But the difference between the rich and the wealthy right the next layer to that is the wealthy will take that 50% they save and save another 25% of their own vested rights, so they compound that effect. What they're actually doing on. But the key is being disciplined. And if you can live on a portion of your your income, this case shock tried to save was about 75% or so then come. He tried to save He actually was successful at that. He never spent a dime from his initial contract, which was like 40 million bucks back in 1992 taken. Imagine what that's worth today if it was managed correctly, um, but that's that's the key. We talked about all time. Pay yourself first, and that's what they hold. Tonality is about with a piece of paper. I set it aside first. Go to the fun things with part of it, But you got to pay yourself first. And if you're wondering, you may not have a contract of that size may not see Ms feasible to do that. You really have to ask yourself. What can I do? Because again numbers matter here, and it is difficult a zit congee. It's all relative here, and certainly there's a floor where you just have to spend so much on housing or food. But even sometimes, the housing expenses really are negotiable. And that may be what Dr savings, so if you're not in a situation where you can save right away, that's something to look at. Good. Well, I think from a lot of people that talk to last, you know, six months or so since since Kobe hit five months, whatever it's been That was proven right. If you could tighten the belt if you really needed to with your expensive even if you had those fixed overhead costs like a renter, mortgage payment, whatever. It also might be stuff for the kids. There's still a lot of discretionary spending happening in a lot of households here in states, but people really hate. I was really forced kind of shut it down a little bit and reel it in. And be a little more disciplined that something that that that should they could do so it might not feel greater sound great, but that's step one because we're talking about nexus is actually saving in. How you keep up with inflation is investing. Well, you gotta have money doing best. I go back to your income, right? The income cycle that we always talk about so Your income is what it is All right, let's start there and then work backwards. It is what it is. I mean, some people hate that saying somewhere in different but the ideas all true. It is what it is. Here's my income. I can't wish it. I can't make it bigger in the future. It is what it is this month, and that's what you have to deal with. So as we continue on here, we're talking about what to do with those monies. Perhaps invest him try to stay ahead of inflation that way. How do you do that? You create savings. You have to look at your bigger picture to do that. Beyond that. Are there any other steps? We need to look at here? Anything exciting in the world of Try and retire early. Spencer Uh, yeah, sorry that we're coming up on a segment in there. But, yeah, it's pretty funny is becoming a pretty popular movement when it comes to trying to entirely. It's called the Fire movement. Yeah, that's what we wanted you to get to before we come back so with that will come back from break here you listen to manage Couldn't be wealthy on NewsRadio..

"Your listening to Bloomberg Law with Joon Grosso from Bloomberg Radio. I've been ducking. Brad Moss of Marco's aide about Attorney General William Bars testimony before the House Judiciary Committee was questioned about the aggressive use of federal force in response to protests in Washington, D C and Portland, Oregon. He didn't seem to back down from his assertions that federal intervention was needed, and they did everything correctly. Well, this is a very much a bill bars you on federal authority and particularly in law enforcement. For decades. There's memos that have come out now for the late eighties early nineties of how he wanted to deploy federal law enforcement. When there were riots in the wake of the Rodney King incident. Remember way back to the early nineties with that saga, So a lot of what is being pursued here is sort of his fever dream from decades ago that he finally has the ability to implement The president who is willing to give him that latitude and a Department of Homeland Security that's run by acting leaders who have no real ability to countermand him. So VHS has been turned into what it was never supposed to be. It is now the you know the equivalent of what we think of the Interior Ministry in authoritarian countries. We have the federal law enforcement comes in, decked out like they're military uniforms that they're operating in Kabul or Fallujah, and they're using military style tactics to confront Protesters have there been violent protesters? Absolutely. And I think everybody agreed. If you engage in that violent of you to face federal property with salt federal officers, you could be prosecuted and convicted for that, But too many times we've seen in the video that's reported come out off the federal law enforcement officers way getting over their skis. Away, going beyond the issue of trying to protect federal property protect themselves they're entitled to do and going after what are otherwise peaceful protesters who are gathering in large numbers. Including, you know you've got the wall of moms get all these different individuals who are not engaging files. That's the concern is that Bill Bar is using this opportunity to employ measure that otherwise would never been permitted. He was questioned about whether he's talked with President Trump about the use of troops and whether that would happen in elections. He evaded the question, but he also indicated that there had been talk No. Bill Bar is nothing if not a very crafty old school lawyer, and he knew how to dodge and deflect around the question. I didn't necessarily take the answers he did provide as indicating or confirming that he is specifically discussed with the president in the context of the re election fight. The idea of the point troops in support of that idea into order pushing that agenda it doesn't mean he didn't the answers he gave were big enough to kind of maneuver around it. But I think we're seeing with you not with the locations of you just got a new announcement that Operation legend, which is the code, which is the operation name for this whole effort by front of law enforcement. Now getting deployed 23 battleground state, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. Just so happens to be areas where their high areas I number of liberal Democrats who happened to be in those areas, and that's where the federal law enforcement getting deployed. Is there a legitimate reason for it? There might be in certain respects, but it's very interesting to note that this is where they're choosing to deploy. Their resource is whether or not it's being done appropriately, if something is going to be scrutinized heavily in a month. A new area that was of concern to Democrats. And I think to a lot of people looking toward the elections is the fairness of the elections. He was asked about that and to justify his repeated warnings about the risks of mail in balloting. Yeah, this is somewhere where I wish you would really Rictus his own lane for lack of a better, you know, inside the Beltway phrase. This is not really his job at the job for the CIA and other agencies in the U. S government oversee it's not his job to be commenting on mail in balloting procedures. And his answer was that he didn't have any actual evidence. You know, for example, that foreign governments going print off shake balance and submit them is that I have common sense will. Unfortunately for us, really lawyers, you need more than that. You need evidence, and he admits he has done. The president has admitted he has none, either various paranoid theories they have in their mind that they're concerned about because from a demographic standpoint there where That if mail in balloting becomes far more expansive, an extensive in this upcoming election, it is more likely to benefit Democrats who are less likely to vote often times compared to Republicans, and that's not something they necessarily want to advocate for. Red. He was asked about what would happen if there were disputed election and he kept saying, I will follow the law. Why did that answer satisfy the Democrats on the committee? Yeah, we'll get to become the question. But when he says, follow the law, bill bars, view of what the law is and build bars view of the law and the view of a lot of the rest of us doesn't necessarily always handing a line thing kind of issue with receiving assistance from a foreign government. He hadn't been hard around that issue, too. And before you finally said, no, they should not be accepting foreign assistance. So the way he's given this answer is kind of similar to how the president's given the after and very candid. I hate this question being posed the political candidates to senior officials. Because we don't know what that picture will look like. And so do we have any reason to believe that they will refute that the president? He will lose no Land. Five refused to concede know he'll leave. He'll concede defeat in whatever way he chooses fit, and he'll leave the White House in 2021..

"Seven sixty six sixty six St Paul Rosenberg I'm going to ask you a tribute question I'm also going to give you a significant hands with this trivia question so you ready to play a little game here my friend what's funny is insured trivia Sir I hopefully I can maybe soccer went out to you that will give me some positive vibes on the poker table later tonight but none the less I was talking about that right fielder for the Baltimore Orioles that I could not figure out Brady Anderson was in center B. J. Sharaf was in what a former met a man in many ways who lives in infamy is the right fielder for the Baltimore Orioles do you know he was a man who lives in infamy that's the clue infamy correct thank god hello I see this going to table say Rosenberg here's what I will say if I give you another hands it'll give it away and it will be so obvious so I'm not going to do that I will say this he was signed in the early nineteen nineties does that help you early nineties by the Mets by the Mets and was a bust with the Mets I mean anyone's a bus with the match JJ but think about those teams there are there are two guys in the nineties that to me should immediately come to mind it's one of those still why do you want me to give you a hint that's going to give it away I'm gonna do that I I do use that so might not give it away I'm not could not stop Rosenberg at well he still on the payroll hi Bobby nailed it see I told you I could give you hate Bobby bony yeah is the right fielder in this game for the Baltimore Orioles I remember him being on the Orioles I just did not realize that it was playing the outfield I think you would've been a DH at that point yeah yes I was gonna ask you if you give me his Jersey number see I'll be honest I don't remember what number Bobby ball with the Mets he might have been twenty five I know he's twenty five in Baltimore on but I I don't remember off the top of my head what number he wore with the Mets but Bobby bony and right field and what is alleged no we wasn't twenty five with your ills because Paul Meryl was twenty five with your roses I'm watching this right now I don't know what's the more legendary poker game the Rosenberg the one we're gonna have later tonight well the one between Ricky Henderson Bobby bony after game six and I do not I don't see us on I'm going to say that came out a little bit more higher stakes than the one we have to have higher stakes but I think we're gonna get less trouble I mean you're playing that game is two teams about to be a limit give me a break come on out come on now and I see Bobby Bali yell it pulled me off the ground into a double play let's let me tell you something that's never gonna wealthy you yell at Paul hill in the middle of like a competitive sport like that forget about it let's add the Sparta Dan is not next these on a family's up Dan what does your Daddy baby are you done with your dynamite right I have a question it's funny this is I I sense there's no sports seven looking about security thing with sports is situations and the one Chester Macario McCall I don't he said but it's nineteen eighty he kicked a field he kicked a field goal and scored a touchdown because the head off of one of the bears it was the Green Bay Packers against the bears actually gifted of field goal touchdown balanced off the bears went right back into is it caught it and ran immediately into the into the end zone and scored a touchdown in October that he was on coke how cool is that I mean then it's not something to be proud of but it is what it is I mean there's not much more to say I don't know how you respond will call like that I mean we had to do seats you guys about like ninety eight percent on fire that's wanted to do is this always at that let's say the brick New Jersey frankly thought next the joins us on a family I want to know about the owners like baseballs you know I risk of you know loosen its popularity if if they don't come to an agreement their owners this team their teams are a long term investment was in their best interest to make a deal so I don't understand where they're coming from like you know that they're they're a franchise have gone up tenfold twenty fall because they bought the team they're not allowed to lose money for one year Frank I don't disagree with you to me the owner is going to be far more at fault here than the players if we don't find a way to reach an agreement but you and I both male regardless of how legitimate their case may be at the end of the day if there's no baseball in twenty twenty nobody's gonna really care who's right who's wrong you know that right while their franchisor all going to go down in value they'll make a deal they will actually go down in value and think about this for a minute Frank the ticket gates if there is a vaccine and if you're able to pack out stadiums like we know sporting events should be then you think of there's no season twenty twenty a family of four family of five is going to be dying to take their family to go to a baseball game held all of the no circumstance they're gonna be looking into that so there are some serious and some legitimate Jeremy concerns that baseball could run into any owners could run into over a long term type deal if there's no season it hurts everybody involved I mean the players lose a year of their careers and the owners could put the sport and an even bigger hole no one is there folks only loses and I got ripped it up at the plate now this is great I am so glad I flip this game Monica react to it and I'm loving that I'm like trying to pretend like it's a real game I know what happened what it's nineteen ninety six two thousand twenty twenty four years ago I mean that's crazy to me to be honest that this game was twenty four years ago and I'm watching cal Ripken who had like twenty zillion different batting stances stratus Korea this is the time when he's like that with a fiddle hold the back I mean crazy crazy stuff I'll be in this game that I I mean this is sad this is the existence I have no I. sports no more movies tonight Yankees Orioles game five ninety six LCS misspelling on this it's a big party some big big get together now with everything going on right now now I don't know where this guy's been I look I'm not a there's a lot of people out there who want to say it isn't real conspiracy this conspiracy I'm not I'm not a conspiracy guy I'm not saying it's conspiracy but from the very beginning when I looked at how our rights are being infringed upon just because there is a a bad virus out there and and I'm not saying it's not bad I'm saying it is bad no I don't want anyone to get it I don't want to get it and I don't want I don't want anyone to get but you gotta you gotta take care yourself but you had to do our rights to the constitution go away because there's a virus and the answer that I got we know enough for every what made dropping over with sickness or death I would be voluntarily staying away from people but that's not happening but what like Willie ninety nine ninety nine point nine percent of those are not affected in the ones that are affected just get the hydroxy here which the post the media is trying to say is like they have been working on eighty ninety percent of the people so that's where we are right now so much politics is going on with hydroxy clerk went how may I mean it unbelievable and honestly I'm reading all this stuff about found see that maybe he's got he's got some financial interest in the other drugs they want to get them out yeah I don't know if any of that's true but I mean but if it is I mean that's just it it's flat out wrong just flat out wrong well I don't like the way he came out real big they have now pulled back on yep he is rushing to approve that but the course the hydroxy a protocol is out of even though you know so you wonder about that the big pharma want to get in on creating a vaccine the grading all the expensive medicine only got something that's out of this working quite well no I I've seen a lot of anecdotal stories about out there about how you know people are they they were on death's doorstep again and they came back from it so Jimmy thanks for the call of yeah there you go that was Jimmy intend what probably one of the worst stories I saw this week has to do with the pigs as thousands of pigs rotting compost as U. I really couldn't shoot that well. We didn't get hit that point and that point is. They're trying to hate on him calling him ason. I know no j. yeah. That's fair though he deserves it. He deserved. Did i want to talk about the event this evening because feeling earlier today basically commits me. I have to go. You know what i mean. When i saw where it was have to is madison square right square god in this adore you get your tickets at five thirty doors open seven yes and then it starts at eight correct like there's going to be thousands and thousands no premier in history burt television show. Usually it's like all let's go to the this movie theater on the upper west side and they'll be one one screen even if like if there's like a big theater was like three thousand people or something like this is the guard but in life. This is the first time in history you have to you have to go. How does it feel when you're in manhattan. You walk down the street and you just see the large billboard promotions emotions that store show. I know i i remember when i first got to new york five years ago. When booked it. I sat in a diner. Maybe like two blocks away from that where my billboard is now bro and i say yeah i want to overlook all these people one day and to see that it was so emotional when i saw that broke it'll be you know because it was just like i didn't. I didn't even know it was going to be that emotional when i saw it but when i did it was just like wow i actually worked for this. Millions of people walk here every all it pay off off crazy. This isn't the last season right. You got to tune in brothers. This is the less you know what i was doing because you know you're talented. You're an entrepreneur. Can you just for people because a lot of times especially in the black community young people feel like our way out as entertainment or sports yeah uh but they don't understand the hard work in the sacrifices you make you just acknowledge that portion of what makes your life successful. Oh you know i first you have to have a an incredible team like you have to have people that work and believe in the dream just like you believe then you gotta. Put your ten thousand dollars in man. "Early nineties where you saw shift particularly in kosovo that led to syrups tripped within kosovo feeling if the kosovar albanians had taken over there what they saw as their homeland territory and leading to first of all a civil war and then of course the break-up of former yugoslavia but we also saw similar dynamics in the soviet union i would go so far as to say you can tell pretty basic nick demographic historical narrative story for the break of the soviet union which is at the slavic population particularly the russian slavic population was becoming a minority and so there was a sense that okay can let the non-slaughter parts of the country go but we wanna hang onto this core and so today now russia's upwards of eighty two percent ethnically ethnically russian but in the late nineteen seventies it was going to be a minority as other parts of the union were growing having higher birth rates another paramedic as is lebanon and the break-up eleven on where you had different parts of the population sort of cooking the books actually not giving proper census accounts in order to maintain control over the political system and if you control the political system to large extent you can control on the economics and markets as well so in the case of russia you mentioned that today it's eighty two to percent ethnic russian. What what does that tell us about about this kind of pushback. What it tells you is that if it's allowed to sorta fester that it can lead to you know large scale violence it can it doesn't have to or it can lead to <hes> you know civil war and so what i've been studying i'm finishing up a book on this is is looking at these sorts of dynamics about how in the political arena wants us becomes public and gives vocalized like this. What are the dampers are the institutional mechanisms for sorta squashing and i'm a bit nervous right now in the united states because at the highest levels <hes> you are seeing this sort of antipathy this sentiment is hostile sentiment again non whites in the country and and you know they're being labeled criminals and you're using language about them being insects and invading the country and to me. This is the beginning of you know what i have seen in other cases where you may end up having pushed back right by those populations if they're strong enough and you can lead to large-scale violence or ready where you could see this. It's a slow moving revolution that's happening and and the question is is it going to be violent or not. Are you going to see the majority of whites <hes> and the majority of the country by the way you know let's not even talk about race that actually supports sports immigration and can actually get their voice heard and get it put into the political arena that we have some immigration reform sit we can move away from these levels of hostility living with a concern is as we know i i know that president trump today <hes> that was his largest denunciation of weight negativism and this sort of extremist rhetoric cricket action but i i don't think it's too late to dampen it but we we need to be the.

"Is true. I did you go back and listen to this. Now, I had started to watch the show again, again, just learning a little bit more about Carl Sagan and sort of his importance in talking about things like greenhouse gases and nuclear winter. He was really very strong advocate for caring for the planet and wanting to alert people that you know, we're in a precarious spot in the seventies and eighties. And so I found him to be an intriguing character. So I kind of one thousand nine hundred I was still just a kid, and I hadn't had a chance to revisit it until fairly recently. And so I did and the music is really such an important part of the majesty of the show. I think all right. You also went back into your past. And dug up some talk talk, the lead singer of talk talk. Mark Hollis died recently at the end of February. And so this band means what to you. Well, you know, it's interesting they release. I five albums in their career over the course of the eighties and into the early nineties, and then Mark hall is kind of retired. And he he became such an iconoclast in that way. It's so unusual for an artist to just completely divorce himself. You know, not not due to lack of success all of their talk. Talk records did reasonably well. And there was a clamor for touring and stuff, and he just wasn't interested. And he said at the time he just wants to spend time with his family. I found that sort of intriguing so they'd I'd always sort of paid attention to them and would revisit the records every once in a while. But in the wake of his passing I realize really how powerful his music was the early stuff is definitely sort of new wave influenced. They were in fact, we're sort of regarded as kind of a B-grade Duran Duran, but the music evolved over the course of that decade in into these orchestral suites that we had a pretty. Intense dynamics of sort of soft moving into loud, and his he has a very distinctive voice as well. And so on a record of there's.

"Right, right. If you have three teams that lost by a bucket ATS. What does it mean not much if a teams getting dominated multiple teams? It means a lot. But here's the key question of this. Because I agree. I disagree with Steve I agree with the experts up. Here is Brad what percentage of games that mad or competitive games for tournament teams are played in conference before the tournament begins. So let's say North Carolina. If you just look at all of their competitor. Games. How many were in conference? How many were out of seventy five eighty percent? So we agree with that in general seventy five eighty percent of the games that matter for good teams or in conference if that whole conference like if the only people we knew in the world was up on stage. We think fezzet was in great shape. But if you walk outside, you're like, wait a minute. This is a different universe people here. Okay. Giving them. I see I want to hear this. That's a lot of conference game. That's my games. What I'm saying is. Here's the story. I told once I'll tell one time it's kind of bragging, but I enjoyed doing that occasionally is I used to play Nintendo the time right in the early nineties and Tecmo baseball was my game. You guys did not wanna play me and Tecmo baseball. So there was this guy lived up on the hill. Right. So he didn't come down too much. He was beaten his body's client Tecmo baseball. He decided to play me a money game. And you've heard of the mercy rule. Right. Well, mercy rule. He goes, let's try one more mercy rule. He drops the control and says, I've got to get off the hill more. He was playing a certain university people if the big east is playing each other eighty percent of the time the games that matter, and they're all three points worse than we think that. Affects the whole conference every game. They play does that anyone. Does anyone disagree with that? No, not at all. They'd be Villanova by twenty seven to about the way, we're paying this guy is a paid hackler. So. Well, we we gave them the drinks. Now, we never really pay them. Right. Steve. Should we be worried about the ACC too? Because I heard you mention them all I so let's say other than big eased, which is the conference were worried about this is more a question to the audience because we have a small sample here. ACC we had three teams they went oh and three against the spread. Louisville lost a favorite against Minnesota. And frankly, they've lost. It wasn't even close game at the end and Syracuse got rolled at the end against Baylor going down again as a favourite Florida state doesn't cover against Vermont only at three game sample. How concerned are we about the ACC being overvalued based on those three games? I'm not I can tell you that. I'm not because quite frankly, Florida state probably should cover Cirque users playing without their point guard who got suspended last night. So they are already in a bad spot. I'm not downgrading the ACC like the big east. I'm not either. I mean for the five best teams in the. ACC play tomorrow. So I'm not going to overreact to. I mean, Louisville in Syracuse work. They're probably the two last teams in from the ACC and Syracuse had injury today while they had suspension, but either way I think we saw the week at ACC teams fall Florida state of I mean, they were within a point of the number that could have easily cubs heard one of fezzes sad story had Florida state decided to dunk that basketball fast break at the very end. Dunkin Basco's fest in them. Fizz ball. Listen, one of exactly now take off your jacket. Leave your Mike. I'll talk for it. And just relax. Now, if not take off your shirt. Steve go get a sound. Let's have her say that obvious. Fez, take it off slowly. Well, hold on on the Mike, then take it off slowly. The whole night worth it. Right. Now, if I said can he bench two hundred pounds? What would you guys of that? Yes. Well, I guess we know because that's hat..

"And and then I'll go fast forward to the early nineties during the time that Vince was busy with the steroid trial. And what have you Pat Patterson, and I were writing TV's for the most part by ourselves. We would run it by vents. But then we would go. Go to TV without Vince. Patent? I would run the production meetings, and we would run run the television normally for production meeting Vince McMahon sits at the head table, and he would read the matches and tell the stories we'll now Vince, isn't there who's gonna do it. Well, who who should do it? Pat Patterson should do it. He's the older guy. He's got tenure. He's everybody. You know, loves Pat respects, Pat, and Pat just had this fear of public speaking. And wouldn't do it? He's like Brucie is. It's your show. You wrote it, you know, you do it in the the fear and intimidation of having to sit in that room with the likes of chief Jay strongbow, Jack Lanza, George the animal Steele in gorilla monsoon in half to explain to them what we're gonna do tonight. It was surreal for me. But just so intimidating the reason I bring that up is because after I was done with the first one in like you talk about sweat rings. I was so my shirt just with nervous sweat. I was soaked. Because I was just so nervous and intimidated by all these guys. Monsoon was the first one to come up in tell me, I did a great job and basically endorse me in front of the whole room. Once monsoon did that everybody else followed. But it will sure as hell wasn't going to be chief Jay strongbow to come up and do it or Jim Myers, but monsoon did in monsoon did it in front of everybody right at the end of the meeting the first time. Now's like. But that's that's the kind of wait. He carried in the sway. He had. In class. Let's. Let's talk a little bit about his real life. Friendship with Bobby the brain Heenan, their relationship was gold in anybody who saw them perform together knows that. And even when Bobby Heenan went in the hall of fame said, he wished guerrilla was there. Are they the most her Olympic comedic duo in wrestling history? Do you think? Yes. Yes. I I don't think anyone will ever touch them. And even if someone does they'll say, they're the best sense. Bobby in guerrilla, the one of the saddest moments in my life. Was guerrillas funeral. At the end of the at the end of the funeral. They did the service were out of the grave site. And. Everybody goes to walk in in. Bobby was still sitting at the gravesite. There was some press there in MTV people in all this stuff and in Bobby. I remember waiting on him. And he says because just gimme a minute. So I walked away and Bobby was at the gravesite by himself, and he was pretty upset. And. It just so surreal. But all these these press people. Had no regard. For. For that love, and for that friendship, and for for that moment in there, still snapping their pictures and taken video, and when Bobby was done, I'll my God, he just laid into them. And finally, the the security came and got everybody off. But it was just a. Yeah, they they were as close as two people could be and they loved each other like brothers, and you know, took care of each other. It was it was so sad when Bobby went to WCW for gorilla and for Bobby for them to leave each other. So it was. Is a very unique relationship and just full of an for for everybody. It was to Jessica bobby's daughter, you know, he was uncle gorilla. And you know, same thing Bobby they were part of each other's each other's lives and their families they've AK shin together. And they were they were always around loved one. Another..

"Tangible book, I one hundred ninety six dollars per share. Just a buck blow with the stock is currently trading, and that is absurd. They're making a fortune off that book that yet. They're almost getting go credit for it whatsoever. Frankly, we haven't seen a moment like this where the banks are making far more money than people believe since we came out of the S L crisis in the early nineties, and I was trading the banks like a women JAMA back, then many investors sold these stocks afterwards. Seemly big moves off the bottom wanna realize not long after that new buyers were flocking to the coupe after months and months of underperformance because they recognize that something fundamentally had changed the banks had gotten better the Bank stocks soared to new heights. And I wouldn't be surprised if we got a similar scenario this time in look the financials they come about twenty. Eight percent, the S and P five hundred. This hasn't been a leadership group for ages. But when the banks get their Mojo back they can be responsible for some remarkable gains across the market, especially if these companies continue to buy back stocks and rapidly raise their dividends, which they will. So the bottom line. Yes, it is not to eight by the banks that we plenty of people who say finally, I'm back to even time to go. I'm urging you to think the other way there are a lot of investors who look at these runs and decide what they want in. And honestly, I think they're making the right call not the Exeter's.
