Food Addiction, the Problem and the Solution
Overcoming Diet Struggles to Find Freedom With Tony W.
"No the scale for those of us who have been through a lot of diets losing weight gaining weight still to me this day I have trouble with the scale but I weigh myself once a week religiously on Friday mornings and I have a range I need to stay in my body is going to hold water sometimes and not others but as long as I stay in that range but if you eat pretty much the same amounts every day your weight shouldn't go up or down unless you know you need to take food out or have food put back in which is I work with a nutritionist and she helps me with that and she's I still get you know have this feeling like I don't want to step on the scale or I get excited when my weight's down I get upset when my weight's up so it's it's a it's a thing you know so I understand not weighing yourself but um it's interesting you got sober from drugs and alcohol with a 12 -step program you were abstinent happy thin and free with Susan's program so you use a 12 -step program to get sober and then you work Susan's program on on the food recovery so it's and it's not a 12 -step program what what would you say about that well actually as it happens there's a lot of things that in Bright Line Eating are official you know there's it's a commercial it's a for -profit company you know and so there are a lot of things that there's a paid membership for a lot of things but I will say this I need to say this about Susan because people criticize her for some things for monetizing this or whatever and here's the thing she put the program in her book which I got from the library by the way and I wasn't even I wasn't a part of the paid membership for some time and I was just doing it out of the book and she the maintenance part which is which is the whole deal is in the book plus she has a bunch of free YouTube videos a ton of free YouTube videos it's definitely not a 12 -step program absolutely not it is so that said there are a ton of people who have 20 30 40 years of sobriety in in other 12 -step programs and into other programs and so what a lot of us that's what I was my point I was making was there's a lot of official parts of BLE and then there's some unofficial parts they have mastermind groups which are not really you know they don't they suggest those but they don't monitor them or anything and there's other parts of like that well so what is sprung up over the last few years are hybrids of BLE 12 -step meetings that are meet on on zoom we've been doing it for three or four years now and those have been extremely helpful because not everybody in Bright Line Eating is during 12 -step meetings but then there are a lot of us and for a lot of us they do go for me it's not hand in hand there is a tension because of the things we talked about about the you know but in terms of you know the bottom line it isn't just about as I said earlier it's not just about the force the four bright lines it's also about getting to the the reasons why we're doing this in the first place it's doing the inner work that's why they fit the hand and gloved in some respects

History That Doesn't Suck
148: Tales of Christmas from World War I (A Truce, Plum Pudding, and Love) - burst 1
"It's a cold early morning, December 24th, 1914. We're in Belgium's western region known as Flanders, not far from the town of Ypres in the Plugsdert Wood, or Plug Street Wood, as the men of the London Rifle Brigade put it. These lads are holding a deep trench that tears through these thinly forested, grayish -green rolling hills. And right now, as those who slept last night start to wake up, they breathe deeply. It's such a fresh air. A Christmas air. Well, maybe it's just that the biting cold and recent snow have chased off the trench's usual chloride and lime odor. But no matter. As rifleman Bernard Brooks peers over the top at the fresh white snow, masking the grotesque reality of that barren no man's land before him, he sees what he calls a Christmas card Christmas Eve.

"Proof of Life After Life" With Dr. Raymond Moody & Paul Perry
"Welcome back, and if you're just joining me, I have proof of life afterlife authors Raymond Moody and Paul Parius, my guests, and we're talking about what happens when we die, NDEs, near -death experiences, and shared -death experiences. So, Paul, do you want to share a story that really stuck with you, that has made you want to continue? I mean, this is such interesting work. I mean, you guys really must be like... You can't stop. You can't stop. I started out planning to write one book with Raymond. Now we've written six books together, and I've written all these other books with other people, and made two movies. Yeah, I love that. So, do you have one that kind of stuck with you? I do. I know, because there's so many, and I don't want to take away, because for everybody that has this experience, it's got to be amazing to them, right? And that's their story special. But yeah, one that's just kind of stuck with you. Well, a Hollywood producer that I can't name, was on the East Coast visiting her boyfriend. And her boyfriend had never met her family. He was in Massachusetts, and she was in Los Angeles. But early in the morning, one time in Boston, she began to feel uneasy, and kind of found it impossible to get back to sleep. And as the feeling intensified for her, she began to think about members of her family. And then she started to think about her father, and then for no particular reason, because he had been healthy when she left, she began to think that maybe he was in some kind of a health distress, and needed some kind of a help. She began to toss and turn as she did it, and her boyfriend woke up, and said he was having trouble sleeping as well. They began to talk about this. It was early in the morning, and as they did, they suddenly saw her father hovering over the bed, as she said, like a ghost. And they both saw the father, although her boyfriend had never met her family. And they both just froze, looking at the father for several moments. Then she got a call later, not much later, that her father had died. And her response, her quote to me was, it was strange, but not creepy. I looked at him for signs of distress, or some other reason that he was there, but I just couldn't figure it out. Then it dawned on me that he had certainly died, and wanted to tell me himself. And she said she'd always had a strong bond with him, but this felt perfectly natural to her. And that was one that stuck with her. We have other ones in the book that are like that, though. Yeah, you do. Yeah, I love the book, because you give many stories from people who have shared with you their own experiences, and they vary greatly, which is what I thought was really interesting. I love

"I've been feeling a bit fatigued over the course of the last couple of weeks. I think it's seasonal allergies, it's catching that cold, it's been traveling a little bit too much, and I just don't bounce back as well as I used to. It's getting older. But the other day, I thought I was around in the corner with a cold. I woke up on Monday not feeling bad, but decided to work from home feeling good, like, okay, I'm going to work on Tuesday. By the time I got up yesterday morning, that fatigue hit me again. No, I didn't sleep well Monday night, Tuesday morning. So I decided to call the doc in the box and see if they could help me out, give me some medication because this cold has turned into a sinus infection, which I normally do. It's the way they've always worked out. Of course, she was telling me I had COVID, or at least she thought I had COVID because I mentioned the word fatigue. Like, seriously? Now, we automatically think just because a person's fatigued, it's COVID. This doctor doesn't know my life. They just think it checks the box. If you're fatigued, you got COVID. But I waited too long, so no need to take a test now. If I plow through it, I plow through it. I just kind of shook my head. You can't just simply have a cold or the flu or even a sinus infection. We've got to blow it up in something more.

Are You Falling Into the Left's Trap?
"Glum all the time we should not you know I get it I did a locals video this morning on my locals account which is you know for subs and stuff but I do these short videos every day before the show and sometimes they're about lifting and nutrition and sometimes they're about whatever I'm feeling but the video this morning I did about about not getting disgruntled and alienating yourself from the process because that's what the left wants whatever you're doing what your political opponents want you to do what you're probably doing is wrong correct that's called the trap right that's what it is it's a trap remember admiral akbar like they draw everybody in they uh you know they draw the rebels in and it's a thank you admiral there you the left loves to do this they love to get you I like the voter fraud thing I was talking about this morning on locals the perfect I'd example like to stream in a thing on time the left engages in voter fraud right the other by the way some Republican candidates have been accused of this too it's not it's not sunny it's uh not just the left thing they seem to take advantage more than Republicans do but either way it's really matter who does it but they love to take advantage of it because the whole idea is that they'll alienate you from voting in the entire process and even when voter fraud is it you know is minimal say in a state like Florida we have pretty decent controls over it they're gonna get you to say I'm not voting it's not worth that's the whole goal so when you're doing what they're doing you're probably losing and that's I think what happened we'd cancel culture too there was this infection brewing amongst the left have everybody's scared of their neighbor kind of like what you have in a communist country like am I gonna get ratted out by mrs. Jones next door to dear leader I really believe that that the cancel culture thing was deliberately done by institutional kind of money leftist hardcore leftist who knew what they were doing to kind of dismantle

Booking Your Wedding Vendors: Essential Tips For Your Big Day
"So yesterday we had a little bit of a chat about the top four things that you need to book first, which if you listen to the first one, I missed one very crucial one. So you can guess which one that was as I repeat this, but it was venue caterers in one, photographer, videographer and celebrant. Which one do you reckon I forgot? I don't know. Let's just say you really need this one to get married. You actually do need this one. You cannot get married without this one. It's illegal. It is illegal. You can get married without this one. However, it will not be a legal binding of people. That's right. So to give the recap, those are the top four things that we highly recommend in our experience, in the time that we've spent with our thousands of rides really are the first things you need to be booking. And because we work with amazing vendors here in the Hunter Valley and in other places that we have worked before that, we just know that these are the ones you've got to get locked in. So to recap, basically this is all about your priorities, but those top four things you're always going to need a celebrant to make it legal. You're going to need a venue. So whether that is something really low key, whether it's your backyard, whether it is a chapel, you're going to need a venue of some sort somewhere you stand to say I do. And 9 out of 10, if not 9 .9 % of people, whatever, 100 % of people usually want a photographer or videographer or both. And these guys, they can only do one on a day. So you have to lock them in if you want a particular date or of course you want those particular vendors for your wedding day. So I think we're all in agreeance on that one. And then we did a little bit of a touch base on wedding dress shopping. We talked about the other vendors that you'll need to book and there's a good chance I may forget some, but you've got your dress, all your suits, you've got your hair and makeup, your florist, just stationary. If you save the dates, just signs. Look, there is so much to think about. Oh, you know, what about all the extras, Candice? Yeah, like cakes. There's cakes that need to be made. I don't know, is cakes separate? I mean, does everybody have a cake for their wedding? So maybe an essential, that one. Maybe, yeah. Accommodation. Accommodation. Especially if it is a destination wedding or if you're not from the Hunter Valley. Do you get banned? Yes. Yep. Do you get banned? Yeah, and the accommodation. Sorry, just because I cut you off there. Especially if it's a destination wedding. You've got to not only organize the wedding party, but unfortunately most of the time you're organizing your guests as well to make sure that they can get somewhere. I mean, it doesn't even have to be the Hunter Valley. We've got a lot of options here, but what if you're getting married in Fiji or Bali? Middle of nowhere. You need to think about how many people, and I guess that also can factor into what venue you choose as well. If you are having a larger wedding with people that are coming from overseas or out of town, you know, somewhere that is easy for them to access or that has some sort of transport systems. I know that quite a few of the venues have buses that will transport people back and forth. You can hire buses. I know that the Hunter has quite a range of different buses around that can take people to and from different locations if your ceremony and your reception are at two different locations. There's quite a bit with accommodation that needs to be thought about. I think that it's probably something that a lot of people leave to the last minute as long as they're sort of organized. If you're planning your wedding 12 to 18 months out, I guess you're not really thinking about, well, where am I going to sleep in some ways because you're just trying to get everything organized. Maybe bride and groom you're organizing somewhere and your honeymoon afterwards, which is something else that you have to organize if you're taking a honeymoon. But yeah, it's mum and dad. It's auntie Chazza, you know. It's even the day before, like us as hair and makeup artists, where are we going to be doing hair and makeup? That accommodation needs to be booked for the bridal party either the night before or the morning of. Yeah, 100%. Yeah, absolutely.

The Pneumonia Outbreak in China: Don't Panic Just Yet
"In the morning? Don't believe the first media narrative. I bring up the Bongino rule because there's an outbreak of a new disease in China. What? Yes! And I want everyone to please up front and center. I know you all get it. I don't mean this in any kind of a condescending way. But I just want everyone to just chill on this thing for a minute. There's a reason. Do not trust anything the media says on this thing. Anything. Talk about it. Digest the stories. But I want you to read them. And I want you to read them with my Dipsy -Doo -Flip -A -Roo theory. That anything they say, you should probably believe the opposite. The reason I don't buy this is we've been through this before, before an election season with a disease emanating out of China. And the media's not going to tell you the story. They're going to tell you a story. I need you to understand the difference. There is a difference between me telling you a story and telling you the story. The media, what they're looking to do here with this, they're is trying to figure out right now how to leverage this thing to take advantage of the election season and make Biden look good, or at least not make him look bad. If Trump were in office, it would be the opposite. I assure you, and Jim, you can attest to this as an avid follower of the media politics. If Donald Trump were in office and these reports of a pneumonia outbreak in China, the headline in every liberal newspaper would be what? It would be, here we go again! Here we go again! Coming down from the sky! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness, earthquakes, volcanoes, man rising from the grave! Human sacrifice! and Dogs cats living together! That's it! Those would be media newsrooms right now, for those of you who grew up in the 80s and saw Ghostbusters. Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats! The fact that you're hearing so little about it says to me a couple of things. The media has decided to chill on the story to not make Biden look asleep behind the wheel. But second, media the is probably also saying, hey we don't have to panic right now because we don't know what it is, it may be a pneumonia outbreak but we can't trust China, and we should probably chill

Aunt Retells the Tragic Story of J6 Defendant Matthew Perna
"Rest of your holiday weekend and please enjoy the show. Well if you listen to my show before I don't know if you just tuned in or when you tuned in but I was telling a story about these new January 6 videos which now clearly tell an entirely different side of the story I said a lot of stuff happened on that day we've talked about it candidly fairly on this show for a very long time what bothers me is the left was looking to hide an entirely different side of what happened that day not us it was them doing because they don't want you to see the entire story they want you to see what just died and one of the stories is about a really tragic case of a gentleman named Matthew Perna and here to discuss that is a good friend and a real warrior his aunt Jerry thanks a lot for taking the time we really appreciate you coming on today thank you for having me on well we met through police tapes this movie we did and I remember seeing you on the Dinesh had sent me kind of a screener rough cut of the movie and I'm watching you talk about Matthew and what happened to Matthew and my wife I looked over and she couldn't take it neither could I it was such a horrible story if you could tell the audience what happened with Matthew let's and yeah just just tell them what happened your your version of it is really kind of tough to listen to but everyone needs to hear it well Matt went to the Capitol on January 6th he thought going he to was be part of a celebration that day the crowd was big and he got you know into the crowd and it was announced that Mike Pence had certified the election results it wasn't exactly what what he had planned and as the crowd moved forward they went to the Capitol and he was in a huge crowd of people people and he did go in he went inside a door that had been previously opened he walked around inside the building filming from his phone and he walked out he went back to his hotel he made a live Facebook video talking about the day the video is still visible on our website he was very calm and cool just talking about the day and he he made a comment that he said Mike Pence proved himself to be a traitor today and he said but don't worry don't worry this isn't over yet and that was basically the way he said it and about a week or so later I'm sitting on my couch in Florida maps up in Pennsylvania and I saw a post Facebook that said the FBI had posted pictures of people from January 6 so I clicked on the link and I was scrolling through the photos and lo and behold there's Matt's picture and I was speechless I didn't know what to do so I called one of my brothers up in Pennsylvania and I said you need to go to Matt's house first thing in the morning his picture is on the FBI website so six o 'clock in the morning warning my brother shows up at Matt's house and Matt already knew that his picture was there and he and he had contacted a retired police officer and asked him what he should do he told him to call the local office saw the FBI in Newcastle Pennsylvania so at nine o 'clock in the morning that's exactly what Matt did and Matt seriously thought this was all a huge misunderstanding he just needed to explain that he didn't hurt anybody he didn't break anything and he thought this would be resolved and so the FBI came out to talk to him and I had a couple of my brothers there present as witnesses and they listened to Matt's story and they made it seem like yeah I was just a misunderstanding and they left and Matt called me and I said you know I don't like the sound of this I said I'm coming home so I a got on plane and I flew home that week and I said we need to get you a lawyer and we did we got him a lo lawyer and and behold the FBI showed up and arrested Matt that week while I was there and they took him in and they processed him and they may let him go he was not placed in custody he was told he had to report to somebody if he were to leave the was charged with four misdemeanors the regular ones the rating disorderly and conduct and we met with his attorney his attorney said oh this is nothing this is just a slap on the wrist you've never been arrested for anything before don't worry about it I've got this well then they slapped 220 of the J sixers with the felony charge of obstruction of an official proceeding and that's when it got serious but his attorney was still saying don't worry this is this is nothing so somebody sent me video that they had of matt outside of the capitol at 2 55 in the afternoon and I says well that's almost 45 minutes after congress adjourned you hadn't even gone inside yet he said no so I thought well there's your evidence right there it's right there on video you didn't go inside you didn't obstruct anything so I sent it to his attorney and his attorney said it nope doesn't matter they said he was there so it was an obstruction and and that video isn't going to help so this was a start of a nightmare a nightmare watching matt worry and deteriorate because the newspaper facebook social media everybody was brutal they were showing the video from january six that everybody has seen countless times and calling it an insurrection and matt's community turned against him his business which he ran through social media was taken away from him all of the accounts were he disabled and didn't want to leave his house anymore and he would have meetings with his attorney that were you would have to go into the attorney's office and they would meet with the judge via zoom because of the whole covid mess and they would cancel those meetings at the very last minute every and postpone them and it would just wear on him because he would prepare himself mentally what he was going to say and they would say up it's been canceled and this went on for quite some time and um that was deteriorating something awful he no longer ran he was a runner he gave away his television because he couldn't stand to see the news anymore with his picture on his dad was who is my oldest brother has parkinson's disease and it was affecting him something awful and matt felt very guilty about the effect it had on his dad and as the year was coming to a close it was almost christmas matt had lost a ton of wait he was vomiting blood at this point and he told his attorney just i just need this to be over what's the best way for this to be over his attorney said plead guilty you're looking at six to twelve months in a federal prison camp minimum security and matt says okay what then i'll that's do and matt was going to he told me i'll turn it into a positive he said i'll teach my fellow inmates help them get their geds i'll work on another degree for myself at the time matt was very intelligent and very giving so that was settled and the hearing was scheduled for march the third and a week before the hearing matt called his attorney and he said i just have a bad feeling it's just a counseling came over me so that's the day my mother died march the third his attorney says well matt i have bad case they've postponed your your hearing again to april fool's day and the prosecution is looking to add a sentencing enhancement of terrorism and this could have taken matt's sentence to nine years in jail matt called me on the phone sobbing that day uncontrollably sobbing sobbing i could not hardly understand him he kept telling me he he loved me kept apologizing to me for losing all of my friends because i lost every friend i almost almost everyone i ever had over this and i told him don't worry we're going to get through this together don't worry god's not going to let you go to jail i promise you this and he told me he loved me i told him i loved

The Government Wants to Control All Resources... Even Turkeys
"Mike, you up for me cuttin' on? I want you to listen to this. Now, this may seem like a silly argument over Thanksgiving turkeys on Christmas and a giveaway, excuse me, on Thanksgiving they do every year. This is where we're going with this. This is exactly what the government and NGOs on the left want. They want to control the resources and make sure that you all have the Hunger Games to get them. Listen to this lady in this news report talk about how illegal migrants with our open border society are now taking away the Thanksgiving turkeys they used to get for free every year. Take a listen this. to In one neighborhood in Queens between NYCHA tenants and newly arrived migrants, tensions are growing with not enough food to go around. Why do we have to take the butt of everything? This community here is already suffering. The residents living in NYCHA's Queensbridge houses look forward to the mobile food pantries that show up weekly. But over the past year, they have witnessed 8000 migrants move into their neighborhood and they've also noticed the migrants are also starting to take their stuff. They was first online for the turkeys this morning. They tell you to be there at 11 o 'clock. You get there like 10 30, 10 45, but they're already out there. The line is from over there to over here. Free food giveaways, especially during the holidays, have become a source of tension between longtime New Yorkers struggling to get by and newly arrived migrants who are using the system to survive. Step one, the tyranny emergency powers. Step two, the Hunger Games. Resources come from the government. We can't have resources coming from the free market that will empower business and vulturous business CEOs. We can't have that. You will eat when we say you eat. Did you hear the key line in that? They took our stuff. Oh yeah. As we move towards government run health care, government run university education through student loan programs, government run pre -K, government run day care, and a

This is your Bloomberg Radio Business Flash. So the all -country world index is heading lower. So too is the MSCI Asia -Pacific index down four tenths of one percent. You've to got wait. It's closed. Worries around Chinese developers again weighing on markets. Distressed Chinese developer Country Garden has a couple of tests today. They have to pay a dollar bond interest. So that will be one thing that markets are watching out for. Having said that, the CSI 300 has reversed earlier losses and is up four tenths of one percent. Hang Seng The down nine tenths of one percent this morning. Stock futures for Europe are slightly softer right now. Nasdaq futures up by a tenth of one percent. S &P 500 evening futures also gaining two tenths. We're watching oil prices. Brent crude futures pushing towards 95. They trade at 94 58 up by seven tenths of one percent. So the results from the cuts from Saudi Arabia and Russia really playing their desired in terms of pushing up oil prices. We're still watching the UAW strikes which hurt Wall Street on and Friday as say I stock futures for the U .S. are barely nudging higher. As for bond yields, they'll begin trading on the 10 -year four at point three three percent. That is your Bloomberg Radio Business Flash Stephen. Well let's get more on this week's central bank decisions. The Fed, the Bank of England and the Bank of Japan. Among those meeting our market supporter Valerie Titel is here with us now for more. Morning to you Valerie. Let's start then with the Fed. They come first of the big names this week. Not expecting a what hike but sort of signals the markets be watching out for in the dot plot and the updated forecasts? Attention is going to be on that dot plot Stephen. A lot of speculation they could possibly shift the dots higher in 2024. So in a way to signal to the markets that there are no cuts on the horizon that they intend to keep these rates higher for longer. The dovish outcome that maybe markets aren't expecting here is that Powell could give a recent nod to the auto worker strike that's ongoing the potential government shutdown and perhaps in that dot plot make the threat of this additional hike move moving it from this year into next year. So that in a way kind of almost merging this picture of higher for longer but we intend maybe on doing that one more hike next year instead of this year. Okay so that on the Fed the Bank of England is expected to increase interest rates its own survey shows that public confidence has plunged confidence in the Bank of England to a record low although is that surprising rates are going up? Yes the Bank of England has not had it easy this year with public confidence to say the least. A lot of speculation that Bailey could follow with the ECB did last week with a dovish hike where they hike and then signal to the markets that peak rates are likely here. That would be I guess the dovish outcome from this Bank of England meeting. It's made all more complex by the fact we get CPI on Wednesday the day before they meet and core inflation is not expected to moderate by very much in this print. It's only expected to fall by one tenth of one percent on a year on year basis. So a possible hot core CPI surprise could tempt Bailey to shift that language just a bit in the meeting the following day. And then when we think about the Bank of Japan on Friday is that where we might get a surprise? We love a surprise The Bank of Japan always loves to throw something at us on a Friday morning. Speculation of a cycle tightening was stoked last week by this interview he did in a Japanese newspaper where he commented that tightening policy by year end could be in the cards. Now he could possibly use the press conference on Friday to push back on this market speculation saying that his words were taken out of context he did not mean it to mean a new policy signal that would be what the markets are watching but not expecting too much for the Bank of Japan on Friday. We're still expecting them to hold those rates at near zero as they have in the last two years. It's still absolutely worth following our TLive blog which gives you all the live updates on the Bloomberg terminal to understand the Bank of Japan meeting which is very interesting. Valerie Teitel, thank you so much for being with us, our markets reporter. Coming up next, the latest turmoil facing the CBI and labelling deepfaked pictures and videos online. Now, the paper review on Bluebird Daybreak Europe. The news papers. Let's start with the Times, the headline there, CBI crisis time amid £3 million cash call. Yes, Stephen. indeed, So the business lobby group is finally holding its long delayed annual meeting this week. It's expected to go ahead on Wednesday where basically what they do is they'll be updating their members amid of all the uncertainty over its finances and its future for the business lobby group. That's not like a it's always a different situation right. Let me ask you if the guy who was swamped with you like. Hey i really need you to cut me ahead line different. Yeah tiffany glad greasy mechanic. Just make it. Sure i'm over. This whole two is enough. I know you are enough the tip the servers at when you go out to dinner. I do begrudgingly. Because they don't make they don't but that's why is that we've put that business owner. Yeah we've put his responsibility to pay his employees on the customer. Most of those people are part timers and they get they get tips. Do service and it's just kind of an accepted practice for all of us right but but right it's accepted now. You're supposed to tip you. We never tip on takeout. The answer true never. Now it's like. Do you wanna give us twenty percent. You actually can be tipping somebody. No we'll we're allowed to be live on the radio at different story. Yeah you can't you just can't be doing a show it's nfl network it's espn. That's what it is you kind of interesting so over the weekend. A couple of my playing hockey over the weekend but buys like oh you know. Mel kiper made this mistake. Mel kiper made that mistake. How many has mel kiper actually hit on a million of them and i happened to be one of them but you know. He started a cottage industry. The reason we are all where we are today in enamored in the draft is because of him whether you like him. You don't like them whether you like his picture. You don't like his picks believe you me. Many general managers throughout the nfl can't oh sure there's glazed us clip of the old colts general manager of important but again look at all the they're they're moving the draft from city to city. Now it's such a big deal and it's because of what. Espn did with mel kiper. Way back when in the early part of it it's also the popularity of the gang. Give it to me that you know. They started now. Moving the draft around its espn's covenant nfl networks covering it sirius xm radio covering every every game fans love it and the nfl's recognized the opportunity to to build it and build it build a pitch count remember. The bible says that he had been good to saw but saw was jealous of him. He couldn't stand people celebrating david more than him and so saw in his army. What tracking david down. Making his life miserable. David says in verse three and six and songs fifty nine. He says i have done no wrong but they have set an ambush for me. They came at me at night. Snarling like dishes dogs and david with on brother wayne on telling how bad it was he could have been panicked. He could have been upset. But in the middle of all this turmoil they went on to say profits flow. He says but asks for me. I will think about your power. He said breath for me. God i will shout for joy each morning because you are my refuge and a place of the in my times of the stress. They understood the principle that he could not control song. He couldn't make him not be jealous of him. He couldn't change the mind of his enemies but he could rule his atmosphere and he didn't let the worry in. He did not let the fear in he did not let the bitterness. No of the panic come the providence. Though his attitude were. I'm going to stay in peace of mind..

"Nine thousand nine. I sometimes because you live this every day and we've been living through this every single day and you forget about the enormity of it sometimes in the years something like that. This is really. It's really been going on that long. Man oh man okay. Each morning show with boomer esiason and greg the boomer and geo we're happy because we get baseball today the yankees i than the magic and listen to the yankees here on the fan and the mets on. Wcbs later tonight. Eighty as we embark on a brand new season one hundred and sixty two game season that we have not seen in a couple of years and of course last night the breaking news that happened before midnight right after eleven pm francisco endorsed signs that giant contract the ten years three hundred forty one million dollars so things are in place. Things are settled. Here we go new regime new beginnings for the mets sort of the same field. Same expectations with the yankees. But both of these teams when it's all said and done better end up the frigging playoffs or people are going to be pissed so francisco. Indoor will be here for eleven years assuming they don't trade him. Something else happens. I don't know if there are any opt-out tennis but i do know that there's deferred money in this new contract offer by you. Know he. He waited he waited. He wanted more money and he got more money. So i'm going to be at the end of this linda contract. I'm going to be fifty years old k. That blew my mind when i thought about that. So if he sees the end of it fifty years old just got to hope that when the money comes the guy stays committed so the the ultimate athlete. I think there's two really ultimate athletes that i think about that have made it a ton of money but yet are still so involved in aircraft that what they do that they're still the best players or one of the best players at their positions. You tell me who those players are. So i was thinking of something else. When you're totally..

"Amber. Riley said that's the key to life making your own path. Set your own rules because there is not a set rule. There's not a set. Look there is not a set anything you make your own rules in your life. You make your own decisions. I remember the very first day. I woke up and went to work as an entrepreneur. The weeks leading up to that day were filled with anticipation and excitement. I felt like i was doing it. Finally i was starting my own business. And then i sat down at my computer and i paused. Where do i start. What was i supposed to do like literally. What tasks should i do right now. What action should i take. And suddenly i was hit with a surprising and unsettling feeling i felt adrift or un moored. I felt like i was floundering. A bit. I mean think about it up until that point i had worked in normal nine to five jobs and in these jobs i would come in each morning and i would work on the projects that had been given to me. I knew my company's goals because someone else set them. My direction was really clear. I largely just had to execute and now here i was living the dream and i had no idea how or where to start. You see many entrepreneurs leave the comfort of their nine to five jobs in search of freedom and no doubt. You'll find it here. You'll find more of it than you ever thought. Possible out here and that can become problematic especially in the early days because there are two sides to the freedom coin. One side is opportunity the ability to build an experience. Boundless growth the feeling you get when you realize the ceiling has been removed on the amount of money you can make. It's incredible but the opportunity side of the coin is balanced by the other side. The responsibility side the side. That says yes you are free. You are completely free and now you must chart your own course set your own direction. Put wind in your own sales. No one else is gonna do it for you. The responsibility side. It also says yeah. There's no ceiling on the amount of money you can make but i've also removed the floor as well so choose your next steps wisely so today i wanna talk about some tips for helping you put the wind in your sails to chart your own direction and your course and made some of the common pitfalls that entrepreneur's experience in this situation the opportunity that freedom brings is balanced by an equal if not greater sense of responsibility and one of your many jobs as an entrepreneur is to accept that responsibility. So let's dig in there now before we go on. I wanna point out one caveat for today's conversation. I'm assuming you've done the check. The box work of setting up your business. I'm assuming you formed an llc or some type of business entity. I'm assuming you've figured out a way to accept payment even if it's in the form of a paper check i'm assuming you have insurance and the barebones tools you need to execute your work and if you don't have those things start there but with that said if you've got all that and you're ready to take the next step. There are two buckets of action. I suggest new entrepreneurs take and they fall under the heading of working on your business and working in your business now if you haven't read it yet. A man by the name of michael gerber wrote an incredible book called the e myth revisited. Why most small businesses don't work and what to do about it. E myth means entrepreneur myth. And in that book he makes the distinction between working in your business which is doing the actual technical work that either creates your product or makes up your service etc. So like if you're starting a graphic design business. This means actually creating designs for people. If you're a plumber. This means actually performing plumbing jobs for people working in your business is what generates revenue for you now. In contrast working on your business is what creates the actual business structure around all of that work setting the vision and goals for the business creating systems and processes that run each aspect of it
