Trump grand jury poised to take pre-planned hiatus from case
"The Manhattan grand jury investigating hush money paid on Donald Trump's behalf is scheduled to consider other matters next week before taking a previously scheduled two week break. That hiatus in the Trump grand jury proceedings is according to a person familiar with the matter, speaking on condition of anonymity and means a vote on whether or not to indict the former president likely wouldn't come until late April at the earliest. The break was scheduled in advance to coincide with the holidays and school vacation. However, people familiar with grand juries cautioned that the schedule could change and prosecutors could still ask jurors to consider charges or vote on an indictment on one of the days they're expected to meet on other matters. News earlier this month that Trump had been invited to appear before the grand jury fueled speculation and indictment would happen soon, as well as the former president's own post on his social media platform stating he'd be arrested. "There's likely no more action from a Trump grand jury this week, I'm Lisa dwyer. The Manhattan grand jury investigating hush money paid on Donald Trump's behalf is not expected to take up that inquiry again this week, meaning that any potential vote on an indictment probably won't happen until next week at the earliest that's according to two people who are familiar with the matter. The panel did meet Monday, David pecker a longtime Trump friend and the former chief executive of the parent company of the national inquirer was seen Monday leaving the building where the grand jury has been meeting. AP Sources: Judge rules Pence must testify before grand jury
"A federal judge reportedly has ruled former vice president Mike Pence must testify in a criminal investigation involving former president Trump. Two people familiar with the ruling say former vice president Mike Pence will have to testify before a grand jury. Pence was subpoenaed by a special counsel, investigating efforts by former president Trump and his allies to overturn the 2020 election results. But sources say Pence will not have to testify about his actions on January 6th. That's the day when a violent mob of Trump supporters stormed the capitol building as Pence was presiding over a joint session of Congress to certify the vote. Pence argued that because he was serving in his capacity as president of the Senate that day, he was protected from being forced to testify. His attorneys are deciding whether to appeal. In Trump probe, key witness returns, no indictment vote yet
"The New York grand jury hearing the hush bunny case against Donald Trump is not expected to meet today as the case continues with still no word of when any indictment might come. It's another day of tight security here at the courthouse and in front of the DA's office. Yesterday, the grand jury heard from David pecker, former national inquirer publisher, and Donald Trump friend, who was a pivotal figure in the payoff saga. The ex-president is being investigated by the Manhattan DA over payments during his 2016 campaign to two women who allege affairs or sexual encounters with him, something Trump denies pecker's company paid one woman for her story, but never ran it. A journalism practice known as catch and kill. Last night on Sean Hannity's show, Trump called the investigation election interference. In Lower Manhattan, Julie Walker, New York.

Mark Meckler: Polling Suggests an Indictment Would Not Hurt Trump
"You have worked with the Trafalgar group over the passage of time to gauge public opinion on a number of topics and there's a new one concerning this issue of whether or not president Trump might be indicted by a grand jury in New York. Tell us about the poll that you answered that they put out in the field on that. Yeah, this is something that we do regularly. I travel below over the country meeting with grassroots taxes. I get a feel for what people are thinking, but our goal is to get the scientific view on what they're thinking. So we're asking folks if we thought if they thought it would hurt or help president Trump's campaign if you were indicted or if it would make no difference. Amazingly, what we found is almost 75 percent, 74.2% of Americans say it will either help him or it won't hurt him in any way. It won't make any kind of a difference. So these are incredible numbers when you think three quarters of Americans believe that either health Donald Trump or it doesn't hinder Donald Trump in any way doesn't make a difference. It shows how badly miscalculating the Democrats are in regard to this.

The Sheer Spectacle of the Potential Trump Indictment
"Well, I'm back to reality and we're back to what's happening with Alvin Bragg in New York. And I guess this is the week where we're going to find out if Alvin Bragg is going to push ahead with this prosecution of Donald Trump. I mean, let's take in the sheer spectacle of this, indicting the leading, first of all, indicting a former president, unprecedented. Number two, indicting the leading candidate of the opposition party. With the obvious and apparent goal of putting him out of contention, now you might say, wait a minute, if Trump is indicted, he can still run. Yeah, but the idea is to discourage his donor as he's under indictment. He might be found guilty of a felony, after all, this is New York. The jury is going to be as bad as it is in Washington, D.C., for the January 6th defendants. So even if the case has very limited or virtually no merit, I mean, think about it. We literally talking about stormy Daniels again, apparently, yes, we are. And all of this, if it goes forward, I think the grand jury may be having some anxiety about it. Because the grand jury is recognizing first of all that this is a very murky case. Number two, the chief witnesses have, well, virtually no credibility at all, a disgraced lawyer, Michael Cohen, who actually was found criminally criminal criminally convicted, served time, stormy Daniels, a porn star. I mean, these are your star witnesses. And I'll talk in the next segment about the merits of the case, but you'll see how both of them explicitly disavow that wad Alvin Bragg is trying to say took place took place. They deny onto their own signature and in their own words that it took place.

Trump berates prosecutors at rally as grand jury considers potential indictment
"A Manhattan grand jury hearing the hush money case against Donald Trump is expected to get back to work today. The question is, will they hear from a witness? There's beefed up security here at the courthouse in Lower Manhattan. Bomb threats have been called in envelopes with white powder sent in. The Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg threatened over the weekend a defiant Donald Trump held a rally in Waco Texas. The thugs and criminals who are corrupting our justice system will be defeated discredited and totally disgraceful. The grand jury hearing the DA's case against Trump has been meeting Mondays. It remains to be seen what's next. Why Simon Campbell Went to War With Local Pennsylvania Authorities
"Those who missed our chat on my newsmax show recently in the last time you were on the show, just give us a little crazy little summary of why you went to war with the local authorities in Pennsylvania and who ended up winning eventually. Yeah, right. Well, the local school board in Pennsylvania a bunch of 9 left wing radical liberals were silencing people at public comments, three citizens before me got silenced. That's why I showed up in Malibu. They weren't allowed to speak. Exactly. They showed up a public comment to criticize the critical race theory program and they were basically told to shut up, sit down and be quiet. And it was all on videotape. So I found out about it. And I'm like, right, well, you're going to get a piece of my mind. And they tried to shut me up as you saw. And so the four of us sued them in federal court for First Amendment violations. And we won an injunctive order against the district saying you're not allowed to enforce this piece of garbage unconstitutional speech policy. And then they ended up selling the case for $300,000. Paid to the lawyers, of course, because the lawyers make the money. And for my trouble as a plaintiff, I got the grand total of $17 91 cents. Now you tell me Sebastian, 1791. Does that ring a bell to you? I love it. I just want to know, how did you engineer that your reward was $70 and 91 cents? Well, here's the thing. When you file a First Amendment lawsuit, you can only get what's called nominal damages because it's not like you're claiming you broke your back or anything like that. And so you have to put a figure in for the court and I said, well, I will update it. It means something. I want the year the Bill of Rights as enacted. I want those suds to send a British citizen a check for 1791 and don't mess with it, but a citizen's First Amendment rights again or I'll get 1791 from you.

Trump lawyer in court after being forced before grand jury
"A lawyer for Donald Trump at no comment after leaving a Washington D.C. federal court, where he was ordered to appear before a grand jury investigating the handling of classified documents. Attorney Evan corcoran's appearance stems from an order from a federal judge who ruled in favor of a Justice Department request that corcoran answer questions before the grand jury. In a previous appearance he had invoked attorney client privilege to decline answering certain questions. But prosecutors can get around that. If they can show the client is using the lawyer in furtherance of a crime. Corcoran had drafted a letter last June, asserting that a diligent search for classified documents had been done and said all records had been provided. That was just weeks before a raid at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate, where prosecutors say the FBI removed roughly 100 additional classified documents. I'm Jackie Quinn

What Happened, Leftists?
"One of the key planks in the mega platform is anti globalism. But it was the left who invented that movement in the late 1990s, right? One of the key events was the battle in Seattle of 1999, where a large gathering of people protesting the W 20 ended up in a violent clash with local police in a scene that older participants likened it to the 1960s. The protesters were comprised of members of NGOs, along with steel workers, environmentalists, aids activists, farmers, anti capitalists, anarchists, students, and concerned local citizens. Not exactly the cpac set. So what happened leftists? Did you betray your principles or were you always just lying about them? I mean, there's a reason why people claim leftists are always accusing their opponent of what they are guilty of. In their back rooms, they may be laughing among themselves about how easy it was to pull off such a grand deception to those people. But they have yet to grapple with the upshot that no Democrat can ever claim to be grassroots again. Leftists are very upset that the Claremont institute recently released a database of corporate donors to BLM last Tuesday, a clearly reframes even the party's street level activists as little more than globalist corporate pawns. One of the major criticisms of the database is that it includes BLM adjacent organizations, some of which have very little relationship to the communist nonprofit, as donations to BLM itself. But it's clear from the linked evidence that Claremont wasn't playing fast and loose with the associations. There were simply adopting the same logic as BLM's own corporate supporters. Which was also the exact same logic used by none other than The Washington Post when they published in August 2021 article chiding delinquent mega corporations for failing to follow through on their pledges to BLM the year prior.

I emceed the Republican organization's Lincoln day dinner for Palm Beach county in Florida. It was held up Mar-a-Lago. I was very honored to be the MC and very honored to introduce president Trump. And I was with him that night. I introduced him and gave me a big hug and a kiss and then gave a fantastic speech. He didn't rely anything, but obviously he had heard something by late Friday night and then of course we got the news later that night or the next morning. Look, somebody broadcasted this to the world. And all heck broke loose, right? As we saw now, it's becoming crystal clear according to all these leaks that even a Manhattan grand jury which has been impaneled now for years on this subject, years. And by the way, there's no original crime. There's no concealment of a crime. There's no secondary crime and it's way out of the statute of limitation. So there is literally nothing here. They've wasted New York taxpayer money in impeding this grand jury for years at a time on this thing. But now it looks like Alvin Bragg canceled the grand jury yesterday and today and it looks like they're having difficulty convincing even a panel of liberals who probably hate Donald Trump in New York that there has been a crime committed here and that they should hand up an indictment.

Will Alvin Bragg Try to Arrest Donald Trump at All?
"Don't think this is going to happen that the district attorney Alvin Bragg in New York City is not going to arrest Donald John Trump. I think that he sees the writing on the wall here. Now, yesterday, a letter serviced. That seems to indicate that Donald Trump was not involved in the hush money payment to stormy Daniels. And this letter, it's pretty condemning. And this could be one of the reasons why the grand jury has not been meeting yesterday's proceedings were canceled. Today's proceedings canceled again. There's word that the district attorney may call the grand jury bank for, but not because of Donald Trump. As a matter of fact, the reporting of NBC News says that they may not even address the Trump issue until next Monday. But I think what's happened here is that team Trump has been pretty masterful at playing all of this out. They had heard the rumblings and they got out ahead of the story. But the reality here is that Michael Cohen, in this letter, it's pretty evident that he had everything to do with this and Donald Trump had nothing to do with the hush money payment made to one stormy Daniels. You know what, I'm thinking like a Netflix producer now Joel, it's break point, season two. Just follow the top ten women, what everyone's going after eager, that's the narrative and the characters we have. We've got the big hit who's just one of the first major. We've got ons. You still trying to do it for be the first in so many different ways, breaking down barriers there. We've got the resurgence of Caroline Garcia. We've got the young gun coco Goff. We've got kind of the villain of the story. If we had to have already sold it to bench it, I just think it's going to be a really interesting year because I would love to see a series of players who are competing and do have these rivalries because that match was a great match and obviously some of the matches between CyberLink and eager haven't been very close recently. Robert had the letter of eager a few times now and I think we just want to see some great tennis and where we had that sort of phase where the same players were reached to semifinals and the level was super high when it was like Sharapova as arranger Serena. They were kind of Kerber. These players were facing off and wozniacki at the time and was yaki like it was consistency. So I would love to see this season a bit more consistency from everybody. Who's in that top turn to kind of really show that they aren't just there because everyone else is kind of all of there or thereabouts. But I think it's going to be an interesting year. I think when you look at our predictions for the years, it used to be well number one. I was going to ask you, George, you still think, based on his performance, the ego will still have that like you thought to start the year. I still think so. I know that she's got a lot of points to defend. And there are players in that chasing pack who will hope that maybe that added pressure that shouldn't feel last season. It has pulls a weight on her. And I think we saw at the united cup that there are crying, I come in which tie it was. But there is a little bit of a vulnerability there. And yes, she's fantastic, and she's rightfully the world number one. And she's streets ahead, but I think there's only to maintain that gap, I think, is going to be for me very, very impressive. It is a very big gap, and I certainly think it's almost like in Tour de France analogy. You've got ecosystem way out in front and the peloton and she's in the breakaway issue. Yeah, she's in the breakaway in the peloton, the speed of the peloton by all being together, just I think naturally kind of catch up. So it's going to be fascinating to each other. Well, we shall see. I mean, we did have some doubles. We've got some doubles matches as well to talk about. Surprise, surprise, Chris, critique of it and signac of they have defended their title in Melbourne. They beat the Japanese duo of ayama and shibahara 6 four 6 three. I mean, they're just on a, they're just on a warpath at the baby, aren't they? At each grand salmon, I just feel like they're always there or thereabouts and I just dominating the ladies double scene. Oh, it's so impressive. I think I was looking at some of the stats for them. And they did not play, I think, one Grand Slam last year, which was the French Open whilst. I think critique of was kind of unable to unable to play that one. I think did she test positive or something, or will she injured? Yeah, I can't remember. I think maybe she was defending was she defending last year and then she pulled out injured from a single so they didn't pay the doubles or something like that. But of tournaments they've played in grand slams, they actually went 18 O last year winning three grand slams. So this is the fourth consecutive they played together, obviously apart from that Fred's open. So I think that is genuinely very impressive. I think it's great to see that they're able to do it so consistently. And they've also obviously gold medalists, as well as winning the tour and finals and the fed cup. So they are probably going to go for the same worthy, but I will say, do you know the last pairing to beat them in doubles at a Grand Slam? Who is it? It's obviously my favorite goat net. And pep Bernard Perez at the USA could in 2021, yes. That is some reckon with on the singles and on the doubles court. You had to get goat net in there this week. The final episode had to find a way. And we also had rinky hijikata and Jason kubler. Another Australian open wildcard pairing winning the men's doubles. They defeated Hugo niece and Jan zelinsky in straight sets to capture their first Grand Slam title. Chris, what is it about Australian open doubles wild cards because we had cocking accuracy in curios last year. Now we've got hitchy Carter and kubler this year. I don't know what it is. I think there's something something in the water down there. I think the vibe must be great because the support is obviously the thing that makes a difference for these guys. And probably inspired by the story last year of curios and coconuts that if you're out there playing kind of tennis is one of your best friends and enjoy it. I think that's kind of underrated it doubles. I think obviously there's a lot of technical elements to it and you've got to make sure you're able to do all of those aspects of things but nothing beats great chemistry on court and it seems like the Aussies have some fantastic chemistry with each other and really enjoy and relish the opportunity to play in front of a home crowd, but I mean who saw this one coming? I think it probably hasn't got the media attention would have got if it hadn't have happened last year for coconuts and curios but still super impressive, but what happened to all the top seeds this tournament? I feel like they bowed out early. Unfortunate for Joe Salisbury, no Neil Scott ski. Yeah, it was a very good win for them. We also had Alfie Hewitt Britain's Alfie here at win his first Melbourne singles title in the wheelchair singles against takita oda. So very well done to him. And also a very well done to our collector set winner for the Australian open 2023. We had four people get two correct picks, including Kim and did Kim win no, she did not win the tiebreaker that we set, which was my goodness. I know. We would have had the last day for us Joel. But what our tiebreaker question was, how many games will the loser of the men's final win? And the correct answer was 15, which Laura busby got spot on. So they will be getting. They will be getting a tennis weekly mug sent to them. I mean, what a prize. What a way to start the year. Very impressive. I feel like that was a particularly difficult final to call in terms of would it be a Djokovic whitewash or would it be a 5 setter? So well done to Laura. That is an impressive feat. Chris, we do need to decide this. So maybe we decide on a future episode, but we do have thanks to Kim and Kim's dad. We have the slam. What I'm tentatively calling tentatively calling the slam spoons of shame, which is like the wooden spoon for like the person who did the poorest and we both got zero correct on collector set. I feel like we need a tie breaker at some point to settle on Joel to settle. I'm going to make a case here. Okay. I think that you should get the spoon of shame. And I know that I sound like slightly biased in that bar. I did. Remember that for the preview of the year prior to draws being made, I did actually go for several anchor a Djokovic to win the AO. To be honest, I think maybe we should both take a spoon of shame and try to get rid of it next time.

"During her five-year prime she won four major titles bari in her five-year prime. She's thus far one only two major titles but only three years in and so again. It does feel like she's on pace to do that. She ended year end number one already. Venus never did that but you know again those the numbers for venus you know she one miami title three times. She won multiple master. She want gold medal. She was fed cup champs. She was in the urine top-five every season in her five-year prime. Doesn't that sound like ashleigh. Barty is what she's on her way to do in you know again. The next level would be like adjusting and in five year prime and in was fifty three and six. She was winning eighty nine percent of her matches. She was winning. You know a fifty two percent of that events she entered Sixty seven percent of the tournaments sheets are two thirds. She was making finals. And ashley bari's not quite at that level yet but she's in the venus range. Her prime is going to look very very good and are wondering. Why do why have members of the media always discussed ashley barty in a tier of special players when she had only won one major coming into the season and she was number one ranking a lot based on the protections because she didn't play in twenty twenty but this is why we see wind. She is on the court all she's done over. These last three years is deliver results and again since the start of the twenty eighteen season. She's one hundred forty nine in forty one eleven different. Titles you wanna go since the start of the twenty nine thousand nine season which was really when she ascended to that number one spot in the world. Ashley barty will say. This is the start of her five-year prime. She's one hundred three and twenty two. She's winning eighty two percent of her matches. that's not quite venus level yet. It's not quite enin level yet but it on the pathway towards the greats of the greats and so again in terms of your dominant forces ashley. Bharti's the one to chase right now because we've seen at her grand over. these last. Two seasons australian open quarterfinals. Twenty twenty one semifinals twenty twenty. Us open round of sixteen twenty nineteen. I believe she also made the round of sixteen in twenty eighteen. She was a quarter-finalist australian open. Twenty nineteen as well round of sixteen wimbledon twenty nineteen before winning the event this season outside of a withdrawal due to injury at the twenty twenty one french open. She has made at least the fourth round at every slam since the twenty eighteen. Us open the epitome of consistency and that consistency has turned into dominant as well to slam titles multiple one thousand level titles multiple wins. You know. we're talking over the top ten opponents it since the start of twenty nineteen. I mentioned that one hundred. Three and twenty two record. Ashley barty in total. She's nineteen and seven against top ten opponents so again through two years and she still got half a season to go. She's averaging about ten wins against the up ten per season. That is historically excellent. And it's time we start remembering that about ashley barty when we discuss her time when we enter each grand slam events. She's immediately on the shortlist three players..

"Every need to negotiates rights image rights with them. So it's it's getting more and more difficult and a teams or more and more aware of the the power of the cameras in team cars. My name is mark. I helped me working in the ring. Eight years and have the great opportunity direct. Liam spent the week with my bulls with tossing bottle thought Say thanks a lot for your kind words. Because the essence of the series is being able to everything works and all. The series was conceived a few years ago. When the head of telefonica spagna. Jose maria alvarez poletti who got to watch a team time-trial france from inside one of the following team cars. He fell in love with what he saw. Everyone deserves a chance to see it. From that moment. We were tasked with making a documentary. That then turned into on docu series originally. It wasn't used to be a netflix. An agreement was reached. That turned out to be great. Because what jose maria wanted to show to the whole world was done and i think we managed to purchase something very realistic. We didn't really think of making in the style of any other programs then. The formula one documentary appeared and plenty of people compared our show to theirs. Tonight i would say the same thing. We wish we'd have the same budget and also the same relationship with that. Twitter franz vuelta spun. You make that show had with the faa because all of that would have made things a lot easier but no we didn't really base our documentary on any other show because he wanted to keep it in the style of how we do. Things are channel movie star. Plus we'd love to see a third of franz freshman drive to survive. It would be spectacular to be able to have a camera in the car. Another one with you movies and then in one hundred car to be able to see our stage unfold with all the decisions made like we've seen with movie star. If it were up to me we'd start right now as it's all about the beginning with the to and everything but for the time being we haven't reached an agreement with anyone. Continue doing this by thing that the audience would be thankful if we could with movie stars being quite easy. They've allowed us to tell their story because we explain to them what our project was about having to do that. To the uci each and every team to their respective bosses and sports directors the star writers as well and then for everything to work. Well it would be a mouth-watering challenge. And i really wish we could because if we don't manage to do it than sooner or later someone will. If there's a specific problem in cycling is that it doesn't happen in the same place. It doesn't happen in the stadium. It's a sport that continues to move around and on the roads of a country. Expose the changeable weather conditions. The stages are really long. And therefore it's very difficult to be able to record everything in terms of filming. We have a small team trying to capture long as many hours if you think about football. It's nineteen minutes long if you film there on a team gets the final. Maybe seven or eight matches and that's not really a lot at the end of each grand tour. We get back with so many minutes of video. Russia's i mean eat lots of time to look every second and we promise you that we do watch every loss bit the footage every bit every hour more than the frozen indoors and that's the most difficult thing selecting the best. Tell the story with protagonist. It's difficult but that's the beautiful part of the trade taking series two. As an example we began in the month of june when the new revised calendar came out. We began to film the team meetings as they were planning. The season restart in the last things. We recorded with interviews in january. So we're talking about seven months of filming obviously not continuous but from start to finish and tulsa work. Well another eight or nine months because we get the images and then we work those. The same thing happens with the tour and then the wealth after that. It's to the final editing. Which is about two or three months of work really enjoyable work. I think many protagonists surprised me. In the end we feel like those people who kidnap someone develop in timothy for them because we see so much footage of them get to know them and their mannerisms and everything many surprise me for example mark. Solaire really surprises me. He's a cyclist with a strong character. He always has an opinion. And gets you talking. He doesn't keep quiet. He's a character surprises me. Because he's hyper-active he acts like a client in his funny then there's 'enrich mass the second series of the first time we came into contact with him and ray surprise me in the way that he switched on a worker so methodical and it's amazing how e- withstands the pressure. I didn't know him. He's from new york. Like me. And i expect them to be completely different. I didn't think he'd be like that. At toll such a young guy a mature at twenty five year old with his head screwed on an knows what he wants to achieve. We got to know patchy villa two. I already knew he was studious. But it surprising the way he changes ideology of the teams he comes to team has traditionally been a family with new ideas. Different way of working. The team is fourteen years old and having done things a certain way. They've had success. But all i'm comes patchy with modern cycling and watts while peaks of form of being consigned history and all of that surprises me when they signed him. It surprised me. But i understand why. And he's a new character into mix in the second series. It's a challenge. But in the end what we tried to achieve is a bit of empathy between the characters and the audience at home if you get to know en masse and find out what's going on in his head or if you develop the same connection affinity with pcb or jose. Luis reactor sports directors use at the home developed a personal interest in their highs and lows. And you begin to their last about why some of this pulling in front of the bunch or why this or that happened. The people who don't know much about cycling become more bothered about the personal side well fronts. We've.
