There's a lot of high tech in the skunkworks of these companies coming up with the next game -changing shoe and what's accompanying that is the price of the shoes are up going and up and up and up and up. The Bitboy Crypto Podcast
A highlight from Bitcoin Crash NOT OVER! (Sub $20k Incoming?)
"Welcome to BitBoy Crypto! Home of the BitSquad. The largest, the greatest, the most talked about community in all of crypto, folks. You know, I hope everybody saw everything that there was to see, and, you know, now is the time for support. Now is not the time for negativity. And we're just going to continue what we've been doing this whole week, which is give you guys access to information that might give you financial freedom. Does that sound pretty good to you? Sounds pretty good to me. Sounds like a plan to me, Deezy. Alright. Hey, in the Investing Bros, I heard that Deezy, there's a Deezy appearance? There was. Was there a Gary Gensler appearance? The best impersonation of Gary Gensler the world has ever seen, but you got to see it. Okay, yeah, guys, I pulled off my skin and there was scales there. There were scales there. I had a forked tongue. The whole thing, it was very, very lifelike and realistic. Let's just get right into the show, guys. We got a lot of ETF delays. What's happening with that? Who also didn't get delayed? You could probably guess the answer. You could probably type it in right now. You probably know. Also, Bitcoin NetFlows, we got that down. Guys, we got a DMV accepting crypto. There's a 1 in 50 chance it's in your state. Not technically, but close enough. Also, Robinhood and SPF FTX drama happening as well. It's going to be a great show. Thank you for joining, everybody. And guys, this is the Friday before a three -day weekend, at least for the Americans here. Do you guys have any plans for Labor Day? I labor, usually, on Labor Day. Alright, yard work. Love it. Drew, what are you doing? I have to move a building. Alright, we're laboring. We're laboring. Alright, I was in Colorado for rare evo, so I missed out on my yard work as well. I got to check my deer feeding situation. I'm trying to feed the deer, folks. Alright, well, you know what? Let's feed the beast, and that beast is Bitcoin, everybody. Where is Bitcoin going? It is down, folks. It is down, but don't worry. I'm going to show you a chart that's going to make you not feel as scared when you see some of these numbers, but first, we have the market cap. It is down significantly. Down 3 .6%. Bitcoin lost a little bit of dominance here. Market cap coming in at $1 .08 trillion. 24 -hour volume coming in right in the range. We like to see it. 50 billion gas coming in at 45 Gwei dominance. 46 .4 % and 18 .1 % for Ethereum there. Alright, so I said I was going to show you something on a chart that might make you not as fearful. You see Bitcoin down 4 .7 % here. Just refresh. It was 5%. Before that, it was 5 .5%. Let me show you what's about to happen. This is the 24 -hour chart. Guys, it feels like seconds. We are seconds or minutes away from that 5 % to be 4%, to be 3%, to maybe settle out. And in a couple hours, it's going to look like a 1 % or 2 % drop, depending on what the price does over there. So the 5 % is more the pain from yesterday. Just happened 24 hours and 30 minutes ago. So just stick around. We'll check the chart again in 30 minutes. We have ETH down 3 .6%. We have BNB down, XRP down, both down around 3%. Cardano its outperforming peers here. It is only down 1 .7%, gaining the satoshis, as we like to say. Solana now below 20 bucks. What do you feel about a below $20 Solana, Tim? Yeah, no, I mean, that's one. Again, we don't necessarily love Solana, all the things about it. But you can't argue with the results of the price action. I think it's going to at least get back close to previous all -time highs. It's probably going to be in my bag. I think Solana is one that could have an interesting bull run, Deezy. Very interesting. Very interesting. You know, interesting tidbit by Crypt2grave. They actually told us what we're really supposed to do on Labor Day. Go buy a mattress. Supposed to buy a mattress. I might actually, now that you mention it, I am going to go to the furniture store. Shout out to Woodstock Furniture. I got to get some bedside. I have some stands that almost burnt me to death, folks. Stick around at the end of the show. I'll share this story and how these nightstands almost killed me and my fiance. This story is going to blow your mind. But let's get back to crypto, everybody. Let's go to the top. Whoa! TonCoin. I heard it was moving, folks, but I did not know it was moving that well. In this downtrodden market here, it is up 8 .6%. I have a sneaking suspicion it's going to be leading the way here. It certainly is. TonCoin leading the way. ThorChain also. Shout out to CryptoThor. ThorChain up 2 .1%. Iota up 1%. Now let's go to the losers. Probably going to be a bloodbath, folks. It's going to look like an arena in Roman Coliseum here. KuCoin shares down 10%. I have a small amount of KCS. Just a small amount that, you know, just been kind of compounding, you know, staking it. Obviously, way, way down on that. I probably should have just put it into fiat when it was like $50 back in the day. It's probably $30. Rollbit. Rollbit is down a lot. I wish I would have taken some profits three, four days ago. Did not. Now I'm feeling the pain. Theta Network's down. Stacks. Back to Stacks. Tim, Stacks is one of the top four movers again today. Yeah. I don't know why. And also, I say Phantom. You also see a Phantom in there as well. Phantom coming into number six. Number six on the losers. Any coins right here of these top five to 10 losers that you see, hey, maybe we're starting to get close to an entry point. Of these five. Good question. Good question. Optimism. What are your thoughts on Stacks? I don't know a lot about the fundamentals of Stacks. The price action itself, it could be something that you see something more interesting happen. I'd have to go back and loot like some more in -depth technical analysis. I think I've done Stacks TA like once on camera and I don't own any, so I don't do a lot of it even privately. But I mean, my limited access to it, I think Stacks is interesting. All right. All right. DZs. I'm going to say the name now. Finally, I always call it DZs legumes. I think it was DZs peanuts, I believe is the same person. Now it's DZs hairline holding his bag of 2 .5 chain link. Guys, I have four chain link. OK, the just the consideration that I would have less than three is ridiculous. I have four chain like everybody. I will never have less than four. It's only going to go up, folks. It's only going to go up. All right. Let's get real quick. If you do want to, you know, check out as our coin gecko. We also check out coin marketing sometimes, but I like coin gecko more. Which one do you like more? I always use market cap, coin market cap, but gecko, it's solid, too. Honestly, I haven't found a reason to choose one over the other yet. I only choose it because the font is larger on coin gecko on the very, very top right here. So it's a very, very arbitrary arbitrary reason here. Now, what do we have next? We have the top story. It's the ETF delays, folks. It's not looking good. I saw a little we're in the matrix there on the little side camera. But let's talk about what is going on with the ETFs. ETFs delayed. SEC delays verdict on BlackRock's ETF application. Will Bitcoin ETF see the light of day after grayscales win? They decided to postpone its decision on spot Bitcoin ETF applications. Will these proposals be greenlit and win? They did on the ETFs on seven of them, including one submitted by BlackRock. So BlackRock's Wisdom Tree, Invesco, Wise Origin, VanEck, Bitwise and Valkyrie published ETFs in the Federal Register on the 19th. However, they have now postponed it by 45 days. So before they were going to have to rule. Wait a minute, is that Labor Day? No, wait a minute. Saturday? Sunday? Yeah, they were going to have to rule on Labor Day. Looks like now they would never do. They would have done it today would have been they would have done it today. They had to do it on a holiday. They always have to back it up to the previous workday. All right. Thank you, Tim, for the alpha there. All right. So it looks like now they're going to be pushing it until mid -October. Just in time for the Christmas decorations to hit the local Wal -Mart. Actually, that happens in September, right? I always know. Well, I always grew up decorating the day after Thanksgiving. OK, I feel like that's normal. Yeah. When does the store? I don't know. I don't know. I feel like stores start Christmas stuff. And I feel like Drew probably has a really strong opinion on this for no reason whatsoever. But, Chad, should I put out Halloween decorations this Labor Day weekend? We have a big inflatable cat. Shout out to cat. You know, we got to get the cat. So is it too early for my Halloween inflatable cat? I would say you could definitely start Halloween mid to late September. Cryptofeen said, I said I had six Chainlink yesterday. You are a liar. I have three and a half Chainlink. I've always said I have three and a half Chainlink. I've never had anything but 3 .5 Chainlink, everybody. All right, back to the ETF here. To the frustration of those in the industry, SEC can delay its ETF verdicts here for a maximum of about six months. They had already delayed its deadline from Cathie Woods on August 11th. So the latest one comes after they sided with Grayscale. And despite the postponing of the latest series of applications, Nigel Green, founder of the group Devair, said in a statement that Grayscale's victory now makes spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US an inevitability. All right, I'm feeling good about that. I'm feeling positive about that. I'm feeling bullish.

"That's rugged evo.com and remember rugged is As women it seems like we carry the weight of the world on our shoulders and that weight is Directly balanced between your two feet and with this balancing act who you think is suffering not the kids It's your feet while running errands paying bills or dodging traffic You could be ruining your feet wearing the wrong shoes for the wrong period of time can cause more damage than you think Hammertoe and bunions are the leading deformities in black women and dr Yolanda Raglan is the first black and only female podiatrist with practices dedicated solely to the correction of these type of deformities So let this black girl do some magic and fix your feet for more information visit fix your feet calm providing medically necessary surgery with a cosmetic result Understanding the Public relations as it pertains to You guys out there who are entrepreneurs like myself I'm Carrie high and When I started focusing in on This industry Pretty close to 30 years ago I knew that it was very important to To gain exposure And most folks who embark upon an entrepreneurial type journey or career Probably or maybe not understand What public relations is all about and how it's an important stepping stone For anybody in business My book how to get rich in the hair business. I Really really speak to this it covers every area of Understanding everything in and we're celebrating The information that's in the book A big anniversary for it. So I'm really excited about it It's out there on Amazon in case you're interested again is how to get rich in the hair business but but again the PR which is what public relations is referred to is really where you are Taking your message for your business your product whatever it is that you've got going on that you're looking to Increase sales or bring awareness to What you want to do the very very first step Engaging the public interest and what you have is to create The understanding of how it's beneficial to the folks you're trying to reach So just wanted to begin this talk This as we kind of again look at all of The different aspects of trying to get your business going here at the here radio morning show so I think this is a great way for folks to you know begin again begin looking at how to Connect with folks. That's what public relations is all about and there's so much more to PR and This is how you begin again how to get rich in the hair business and so many other different ways I'm Maggie Anderson. I am the creator of the empowerment experiment and the author of our black year my family's year-long stand completely living off of black owned businesses When we decided to take on this public pledge We had no idea How hard it would be? there was only one black owned grocery store in all of Illinois and that grocery store closed five months before we finished our year And I have two little girls that means no fresh milk. No fresh meats. No fresh produce But I put them through that because we took the stand and we wanted really to do something extreme Out of love for our community to expose how few black businesses there still are to refute negative stereotypes about black owned businesses and to expose Economic injustice that still persists in America After the year, I decided that I could not go back to corporate I could not go back to law. I've made this issue of Economic racism and really trying to create economic empowerment in our black community my life the black hair care firms they sustained the civil rights movement Black women created these companies huge Thriving companies and we needed that we talked about black Wall Street now because we shine light on what happened in Tulsa Most black neighborhoods were anchored by these black Wall Streets and if we could bring that back America would be better. I'm not saying bring all the back that would probably be impossible, but we can bring black hair care back There are great black hair care companies that exist black owned hair care companies that exist right now and It would be wonderful for in America just like other groups own their culturally relevant products and industries That the black community can own the biggest black hair care Brands that the black community can own black beauty supply stores 3% of the beauty supply stores in black neighborhoods and people know people black people know what I'm talking about If you go into a black neighborhood you're gonna see a beauty supply store and they're gonna sell all the black hair care products, but only black people use and They are not owned by black people. So I've issued the black owned hair care challenge. Just asking everyday folks to say Hi, my name is Maggie Anderson and I accept the black owned hair care challenge and tell the world that from now on I'm gonna buy black hair care products. I'm gonna make sure it's from a black owned company I I I I I I I You're listening to the hair radio morning show the number one hair and beauty radio show worldwide and the longest-running hair and beauty radio show It's two thumbs up the hair radio morning show goes to the movies It's a brand new movie talk radio segment Listen lies soon in right here on our broadcast for our unique review of the latest movie Join us live on the air to chat.

A highlight from BREAKING Grayscale Wins SEC Lawsuit! (MASSIVE Crypto Pump!)
"Welcome to BitBoy Crypto! Home of the BitSquad, the largest and greatest crypto community in all of the Interwebs. My name is Deezy. We're here at 11 .33am. Shout out to Sam Price. We started on the time on purpose. Shout out to Larry Bird. It's Tuesday, August 29th. We got Drew and AJ. How are we all doing today? I'm bullish. Anytime we start the morning with the pump, especially some good news, I mean, come on, we can't hate on that. Let's go. Yeah, we're going to talk about that. We're going to tell you why the markets are pumping. It has something to do with an ETF, folks. Also, we have some XRP news. We got some X news. Is Elon bringing back Doge? Is it happening soon? Did he just get a license? What was that license? We got an NFT being targeted. ETH interests all time low. We're going to talk about Cardano. We're going to talk about Charles Hoskinson and aliens. And then maybe at the end, if we got time, me and AJ might talk about rare EVO. Fantastic time out there. I had a really, really good time. So, grayscale ruling is just a bunch of hopium FUD ammo for more Bitcoin movement. So, we're going to talk about that. But first, AJ said the markets are pumping. Let's look at the markets. What is going on with the markets? We're going to refresh, make sure we got that fresh data. The market cap of crypto industry is up 3 .6%. We're coming in at $1 .13 trillion, everybody. 24 -hour volume. Only coming in about $42 billion. I'm surprised it's this muted. It, you know, averages around 50 when things get a little bit excited. Can touch 100 on an exciting day. So, surprise is so low. We have Bitcoin dominance coming in at $46 .9K. Gas is up, though. It is up to 90. So, it looks like people are using that EVM, getting in and out of those altcoins. Now, AJ, do you think they're getting into ETH or out of ETH? That's a really good question. I know volume has been down lately. I'm personally looking at the Bitcoin chart right now on my screen as we speak. And it's really good to see, if you see this right yellow line here, this yellow line, Bitcoin put in a higher low if it's turning around here. And if it stays in that range, I mean, there's nothing wrong with that. Obviously, losing the year -long trend line, this white line here, bad news bears. But the fact we put in a higher low right there, I mean, that's a good look, at least a good start. All right. The trend is your friend, so it isn't great seeing that trend break there. But let's look at individual crypto prices here. We have everything pumping over the last hour or two. We have Bitcoin up almost 5 % on the day, essentially making up the entire week's gains here, up 4 .9%. ETH is up 4 .1%. BNB up almost 5%. XRP, only up 3 .3%. Cardano as well, only up 3 .3%. But Dogecoin, maybe off the Elon news, it is pumping a little bit harder. It's coming in at 6 .3%. And TonCoin, this morning, one of the few coins in the green, but with the bullish news with Grayscale, it is now pushing 10 % everybody and as well as Bitcoin Cash pushing 10%. If we look at the top gainers here, what are we going to see? Are we going to see your portfolio? If we see your portfolio, make sure you hit that like button where you have stacks. What is up with stacks always leading the way, whether it's gainers or losers, AJ, it's always stacks. Is it? I just see stacks in the top five of movers a lot. That's a fair point. I actually like, that's one of those coins that like, I just never really follow. Like, you know what I mean? I know what it is. I've seen it, but I'm just like, Stacks is up there with radix. You see radix doing that a lot. You see stacks doing a lot. There's a couple other coins. You always see injective. You often see that. Yeah, that INJ is definitely one that I've had my eye on at least for this year. It's really hard to ignore the price action on INJ. And hey, look at VeChain, you know, not doing bad. And over the VeChain shirts, I had to give them a shout out. I, you know, after the price prediction video I did with VeChain, I met the VeChain people at Rare Evo. Super cool. Super cool. Maybe it might hit up a UFC fight with them at one of these points in time. It's hard to not be bullish on that project, not going to lie. Cool. We have a Bitcoin cash up 8 .8%. Roll Bitcoin 8 .2. Still having a good week. 36 .9. I held on to most of my bag. I took some profits when we hit that local low or local high there. We have Dogecoin up, Optimism up as well. Avalanche ETH classic, a coin I haven't even thought about in a long time. It is up five and a half percent, but who's losing there. We got everything pumping. Is someone dumping? All right. We have Caspa. This might look, I keep saying, Oh, I'm gonna buy Caspa. I'm gonna buy Caspa. I haven't bought Caspa. What is going on? Why haven't I bought Caspa? Mostly because KuCoin shut out American users. I got to find another exchange. Probably looking at Bitget. Tim's around. Tim's around. Let's see. So we have Caspa down 3%. SWE down 2 .4%. Apecoin erasing the gains from yesterday, at least half of them is down 2 .3%. And then after that, nothing really has fallen too hard. Kronos is down, but still slightly up for the week there. But are you ready to talk about some grayscale? Dude, such, such good news. Such good. I mean, to be fair, there is a difference between, you know, the news this morning and a spot BTF approval. There is an ocean between those two things, but it's really good to see bullish sentiment, especially right now. And you know, like I said, putting in the higher low. Yeah, let's get into the story. All right. All right. Let's see. Again, make sure you follow us. We're at a 1 .45 million followers here. Let's see. All right. So we have court grant. This is a breaking story just happened. I mean, you see with the crypto pumps, there's not a whole lot of articles on this. We're going to go over this one here. Court grants grayscales petition for review in Bitcoin ETF case against the SEC. So the state court of appeals or the state's court of appeals granted their petition for review this morning is a three judge panel for the DC circuit court of appeals. And they sided with grayscale in the battle against Gary Gensler and the sec. This came after they sued the sec a long time ago, folks, at least in crypto land, June of last year, when they blocked them from converting its Bitcoin trust to an ETF. We remember, you know, this was a bullish narrative about two years ago, but it's not all the way where we want to be, which is a spot ETF. They argue that the approval of ETFs investing in Bitcoin futures, but not proposed con products would hold a Bitcoin directly is arbitrary and capricious. The judge granted the petition for review in order that the commission's order be vacated. So it means the sec has to review the application, which it had previously rejected. So before they got, you know, they got the resume and they just threw it out the window and say, Hey, look, we don't need to look at it. Grayscale saying, Hey, that's not fair. You actually need to, you know, how about put some eyeballs on it? How about you assess us fairly? And how about you give us a real accurate ruling? Don't just have this arbitrary and capricious ruling. And that's what they're saying here. So the CEO of Grayscale said on Tuesday that the company's legal team is actively reviewing the court's decision. This is a monumental step forward for American investors, the Bitcoin ecosystem, and all those who have been advocating for Bitcoin exposure through added protections of the ETF wrapper. This is huge, but I don't know if Grayscale is going to be able to beat BlackRock, AJ or Drew, you know, I just don't see that BlackRock is going to come in with the bronze medal. Does BlackRock get bronze medals or do they get gold medals? I think they get gold medals. Now, maybe it's a tie. Maybe a lot of people are approved at the same time, but I don't see Grayscale getting the gold and BlackRock is just happy with the silver. That's my take.

The Bitboy Crypto Podcast
A highlight from Crypto Market Dip NOT OVER? (J. Powell Hints More Rate Hikes)
"We are here in the Bahamas working to make it right. If you can't have a millionaire, would you keep working? The commander is here. What's going on right now is California's trying to figure out if they can defeat the government that popped the pot. Yeah. Oh, I can. Welcome to BitBoy Crypto! Home of the BitSquad, the largest and greatest crypto community in all the Interwebs. No channel works harder to keep you in the know about crypto than this one right here. My name is Ben. Come to you live every single day at 11 .30am Eastern Standard Time. Exactly. Also known as 9 .40pm MST, is that what you call it? Mountain Time Zone. Anyways, regardless, I digress. We are here at RARE EVO. We've got our Bencoin booth. I don't know if you saw pictures of it on Twitter. Super exciting. And, you know, it really made me think when we got here about what was going on last year at this time. And I think that's really where I want to start before we get into the show is really thinking about last year, this event was in October. And it was very interesting. I just talked to Charles. Charles just gave a speech on stage. Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, of course. And last year, him and I did an interview on stage. And the interesting thing that really occurred was not what people got to see. It's what people didn't get to see. The behind the scenes was so interesting. Because if you remember, I made my famous Sam Bankman -Fried rant around the middle of October. This event was towards the back half of October, if I remember correctly. And the thing is, I had already marked the enemy territory with Sam. And our bill was progressing. And I had sent my bill to Charles. And I sent everything that, oh, there's crypto India. She looks like a monkey. She's got a banana. The fact is that we're spending all of our time and our resources and, you know, really trying to put things into this bill, and I asked Charles if he would support it. Same reason we sent the bill originally to FTX. And, you know, there's different stuff going on, but the point is the conversation went kind of like this. Charles, I don't understand. Why do you not want to support our bill? Like either financially or kind of giving it a vote of confidence? And he said, well, you know, I don't think the CFTC is going to like it, is what he said. He's been, you know, on Capitol Hill on the behalf of the Department of Agriculture, which, you know, all crypto falls under. And he said, you know, but here's the thing. I've dug into what you've been saying about Sam. And he said, it's true. Sam is doing all the things that you said he was doing. And here's the line. He said, but, you know, in the end, he's Sam Bankman -Fried. He's going to mess up. He's incompetent. That's what he does. And let me tell you, you want to talk about an accurate statement. Look how everything played out last year. Like being here and talking to Charles a second ago, it just really reminded me of that event. But here's the thing. You've got bad actors, okay? And there's a lot of bad actors in crypto. We know that. But the bad actors, they almost, in a roundabout way, it's like one of those circular staircases where you can't ever find where it, you know, enters and exits. Where are the good actors? And where are the bad actors? And the thing is, is that the bad actors, they almost force the good actors to be shown and to be present. And I think that's what you've seen over this last year is with the contagion and with the Alex Wyshinsky and Sam Bankman -Fried, you know, you really start to see who the good guys are, and they're not who they told you they were. And, to me, being here at Rare Evo again and seeing where we've gone in the last year, of course, you got a lot of bad stuff, but there's something like Bitcoin that now, you know, we're running. We've got our booth here. Super exciting. And it's all about crypto adoption. It's about taking those things that, you know, aren't quite right with crypto, whether it's the public perception, whether it's the education about crypto, whether it's the government, the policies, regulations, or whether it's the media, you know, we've got a lot of stuff to fix. And this technology can be used for the good. And that's ultimately what's going to happen. It's just a matter of the good guys, I guess, outshine the bad guys. So, we're going to get started here. There's Wendy. Wendy, you want to come, just come be on the stage? Do you want a banana, you hungry? I must ask you a question. Where is Bitcoin going to? We're going to go to do our show later today, I think. Tomorrow. Tomorrow, yeah. Our show's tomorrow. We're going to film lots of episodes tomorrow. Yeah, we're going to do four. So, we're going to have four for you guys. And you're going to be wearing something, aren't you? Oh, yes, I bought an apron. Do you want me to wear a muumuu? I draw the line that started to look like a woman. It was a cat muumuu, but they had one in blue. Yeah, they did have one in blue. It is true. It's not the color. It's like a dress. I know, but you could have worn pants. You can't do it. It could have been like ATL shorty. Shoddy. It's shoddy. It's not shoddy. It's shoddy shoddy. Well, from the west side. I can tell. I can tell. ATL. Shoddy shorty. Okay, well, here's orange you glad that you brought that banana? Bye, guys. Okay, guys, let's go get started with MarketWatch here. As you do know, we did officially switch to CoinGecko from CoinMarketCap. Now, I can't really see the chat, I don't think. So, yeah. So, guys, I love you a lot. I can't see you today, but you get to see me. And we're probably going to, guys, we're probably going to plan on ending it about probably 12 .30 today. So we're going to go through the show kind of quick. Okay, so here we go. We are on CoinMarketCap. Okay, there we go. Is BJ manually switching this? He's in here. Okay, looking at the overall markets. By the way, CoinMarketCap did actually start fixing some stuff. So they did email me after my big tirade the other day. So we'll see what happens there. The market cap almost at $1 .1 trillion. You know, we were just barely over a trillion a couple of days ago. Volume, $36 billion. Bitcoin dominance, 46 .4%. ETH dominance, 18 .2%. I'm going to get a little more used to these CoinGecko numbers to know whether that's up or down. I don't even remember. Gas, 15 .0 Paraguay to send you an ETH transaction. And I hope you guys enjoyed us going live from this, thank you, we're going live from rare evo today. This is one of these things where, you know, the more we travel, the more we go to events, you know, we can have BJ with me. He's an animal with the tech. And there he is. There's BJ, ladies and gentlemen. So, you know, we want to be able to bring you guys more live shows even when I'm on the road instead of, you know, look, we love Deezy. He's great. He's here. But I know you guys don't necessarily want to fill in. And all my Deezy fans, I guess y 'all like around the blockchain anyway, so he's going to be going live or going to be doing a show from here as well. Bitcoin coming in at $26 ,000 approximately. Ethereum coming in at $16 ,400. Uh -oh. Scam. BJ, Scam Likely is calling you. Scam Likely is calling you. $16 .48. Let's see. Where is the old XRP coming in at $0 .51? Yeah, I mean, we pretty much wiped out the entire gain from the lawsuit. And I wasn't expecting it to retrace all the way, but I guess it kind of depended on how high that it went. If it had gone $3X, then it shouldn't have. It just doubled. $0 .50 to $1 and then, or whatever it was, $0 .45 to $0 .90, and now it's crashed back down. But, of course, that's a reaction to the overall market. A lot of people are really expecting a big drop here. And I'm just not. Like, I just don't see it. I try not to get too caught up in the narratives. And, yes, there are some things about the 4 -year cycle that do indicate that there should be more down action, especially compared to Ethereum to Bitcoin. You can chart it doesn't look good. But I almost feel like everybody talking about it, you know, it seems to sometimes negate that. When everybody's expecting a big drop, it doesn't really happen. That's the thing. When we got our big drop from $70K at the top, nobody was expecting that. When we got the FTX collapse, right? Out of nowhere, nobody was expecting that. And so right now, everybody's telling you a big drop is coming, and it's like Bitcoin just loves to defy the narrative. It fits within the fundamentals of the 4 -year cycle, but in the micro, Bitcoin likes to defy. So, or defies, I may say. Let's see. Albert Condi with Superchat. I actually have the chat now. Yobin, you guys have lawyers on your payroll, right? Of course, with all the legal attacks from the US government, I want to watch some streams of discussions with lawyers who know crypto. Okay. That might be something we could, you know, might be better for maybe pre -recorded video rather than live streaming. Live streaming would be good too. But, yeah, thank you for the Superchat. Turn noise cancelling off. What does that mean? Is that us? Okay. One. What are you doing, BJ? No. BJ says no. BJ says no. We can only do the best, guys. What do we got? So next time, BJ says we're going to be a little bit even better prepared, so. We got RollBit coming in, 19 .7 % gains. If you guys did not know, RollBit is kind of a competitor to Stake in a sense, so we can't be covering RollBit really too much on this channel other than to say, look, the price went up, went up 20%, nice pump, and it's one of these things that's been running in the bear market, and it's obvious because people just want to gamble in the bear market because there's not a lot of gains to be had in the crypto world, so unless you're shorting or leverage trading, so RollBit's one to watch. Now, you know, Stake doesn't have its own coin, which is very interesting. I doubt they would ever do that. I don't think it's somewhere they want to get it, something they want to get into. But, you know, are we seeing a decentralized version kind of pop up? We'll have to see how RollBit goes. We have some coins up, barely. Big Ed token, Quant, Mantle, Polkadot, DYDX. So, alright, so let's go ahead and move on. Don't forget, guys, in here at the booth over here, we have a ton of Bitcoin merch. You guys, don't forget to check out hitmerch .com. We got an entire Bitcoin collection. So, you know, it's some really cool merch. Hope you guys check it out. I'm going to be in a dunk tank later, and I guess I'm probably going to see if we have some Bitcoin tank tops and shorts for me to get in the dunk tank with. It'll be everywhere now for charity. Alright, guys, moving on here. US Fed's Jerome Powell and Jackson Hole prepare for more rate hikes, so kind of serious, kind of, kind of not necessarily unexpected news, but they are really committed to, you know, lowering these rates and getting inflation under control, at least making it appear that it's under control. It's kind of like this. It's like, you think of quantum easing or quantitative easing, you can kind of think of it as like a superpower for the Fed, I guess, right? Like, what happens is, you know, I used to remember this game we used to play, right? All the boys, the boys, we go to the arcade. There are two games, really three games, that were four -player games that people just loved when I was a kid. You had The Simpsons. Simpsons was a four -player arcade game. It's pretty cool. Whatever. One of my favorite one, but I did beat it because that's what I do. I'm a winner. You also had Ninja Turtles. Ninja Turtles, man, what a great game that was in the arcade. Man, 4x4 action, you and your buddies, birthday party, you know, go to a big place like, you know. We used to go to a place called American Adventures, but there's other places, Dave and Buster's. And so what happens on this X -Men game? They had this X -Men game. And that was the game we all loved more than any of the other ones because it had this cool superpower. You kind of like store the superpower up, and you are willing to go all the way down to like one bar of your energy. You just take the hits, take the hits, take the hits, because you knew the maximum value of when you use your special power that will blow up everything on the screen was worth it. The appeal to use the quantitative easing for the federal government and Jerome Powell for the Federal Reserve is more appealing than the temporary hits that the economy is taking. They know as soon as they turn the quantitative easing back on, that they're going to be able to fix everything just to mess everything up again. But that kicks the can down the road, right? So they're willing to take the hits going down to no energy, your economy not do well, there's tons of stats showing our economy is actually worse than the Great Depression right now. It's all fake, and it's all smoke and mirrors. That's what the government's learned to do better over time is create the optical illusion that everything's fine when it's clearly not. So, Jerome Powell is, you know, basically saying like, hey, here's the thing. Let's see if this is all part of the optics. We're going to keep raising rates. It's what has to happen for us to get inflation under control. There's no such thing as getting inflation under control, guys. Our money is worthless. There's nothing behind it. It's going to happen again. Powell revealed that the Fed staff intends to hold the interest rates at a restrictive level until they are confident that inflation is moving sustainably towards a 2 % target. They made their remarks at the Economic Policy Symposium, also popularly called Jackson Hole Symposium, or Jackson Hole Meeting, posted by the Federal Reserve of Kansas City. I actually took a picture outside that one time when I was there for a Chiefs Finals game. Prior to the speech, traders were anticipating the Fed chairs' comments on the long -term economic scenario amid the ongoing macroeconomic uncertainty. So, there we go. And, of course, Bitcoin price hasn't, doesn't seem like it's really done that much for the Bitcoin price one way or the other. Okay. So, also, guys, we have IRS spares, crypto miners and validators and new broker reporting requirements. And, you know, here's the thing, guys. I told you that this thing about who's a broker in crypto, right? It was in some language of the big Digital Currency Act that got, you know, implemented a couple years ago, and everybody was worried about this broker language because it was going to affect miners. I told you the whole time, guys, the system has a lot of different fail -safes in it, okay? And so when you see one of these stories like China banning Bitcoin, like, okay, cool, you know, it's not that big of a deal. I knew this broker stuff in the United States. I knew it was going to end up not being a big deal. The language was not clarified in the bill, but I said it would get clarified later. And here, you have the IRS saying basically exactly what I just told you, is that even though the bill said one thing, this is what the IRS is going to do and how they're actually going to legislate and regulate this, or I guess the IRS just keeps up with the money. How are they going to hold it financially accountable? The Department of Treasury released its highly anticipated proposed regulations for crypto currency brokers. Notably, it's chosen to exempt individual validators and miners under the proposed rules. And this is big for DAOs, too, guys. Under the proposed rules, crypto brokers will have to adhere to the same rules as securities brokers, including filing information returns and furnishing pay statements for all customers and traders. The Treasury stated that the proposed changes aimed to curb crypto tax evasion and prevent crypto investors and businesses from getting an unfair advantage. Biden said there's as much as $18 billion left on the table. We all know he wanted that so he could give it to Ukraine or his son could squirt it up his nose. The rules that passed would go into effect 2026 for the 2025 tax year, which is absolutely huge because the 2025 tax year is the year to harvest the gains, right? That's when the bull market is going to be thriving, probably ending somewhere around the summer of that year. So, let's see. Yup. You guys, we're in a big room here. This is what happens when you're live at a conference, is what it is. Okay. Alright. Let's move on here to the XRP trial here. And you guys know our XRP section is always brought to you by stake. You know, in my opinion, some of the best bread that exists is a golden crown. Golden crown has got these rolls there. Now, they don't have anything else that's good, but they've got these rolls. They're immaculate. They're so good. They're buttered. They're fantastic. And it really makes every other roll that you've ever had just taste mid. So, BJ, please play the mid roll. Thank you to our sponsor, Stake. Thank you to our sponsor, Stake. Also, thank you to Rare Evo as well. Okay. Why the SEC vs. Ripple trial may never happen. Insights crypto from lawyer Fred Rispoli. Talked to Fred a few times. Good guy. The SEC vs. Ripple Labs lawsuit has been a significant battle in the crypto world. On July 13, Annalisa Torres, the judge, delivered a complex ruling. It wasn't really that complex. Prominent crypto lawyer Fred Rispoli took to microblogging platform X. It's like calling Bitcoin the flagship cryptocurrency. Like, the microblogging platform X. Is that really what we're saying now? Come on. Ryder, I know you get paid for word, but come on. I can do better. Desiria's belief that the trial between the two Ripple Labs executives may never take place. Here's why Rispoli thinks so. Pressure tactics. He argues at Garlinghouse that suing Garlinghouse and Larson was a strategy to pressure Ripple into a weak settlement position agree 100%. Witness challenges. Imagining key SEC figures on the witness stand. Rispoli believes figures such as William Hinman and Jay Clayton could be tied to their roles in the Trump administration, which might not sit well with a New York City jury. Proving reckless. Rispoli questions about how the SEC could prove recklessness regarding institutional sales when the defendants can point to programmatic sales as being acceptable. Weak evidence. Of course, the evidence concerning domestic vs. international sales is considered weak. Reorganization of the SEC's trial team. They've already been making some internal changes to their trial team in this case. Back -to -back trials with the SEC's tight trial schedule may hinder its ability to focus on this case. It's one of these situations where Gary Gensler does not want to let go. He does not want to let go of this. But he's going to in the end see that this is a losing battle for him, and he's got to make the choice to move on. It's a hard decision because it basically means that everything he's been talking about, his entire stint at the SEC, is nullified. And what does that mean? That means that he himself becomes replaceable because he's been in charge forever and he's done nothing. That's the whole point. It's why we need someone to replace him. And the writing is on the wall for him, and he is going to fight until the last second, but at some point, he's going to have to give up the ghost because he's going to start getting pressure from people outside of him. When he starts feeling that pressure, that's when this is going to be over. The lack of bargaining chips. He's just as he has no bargaining chips left if the judge denies the motion for the appeal. So the Interlocutory Appeal, definitely something to watch, something to pay attention to. We had to find out and see, you know, where Judge Suarez rules on that. Alright, guys. Moving on here to Robinhood. And where do we have charts on there at all? Are we going to do charts at all today, BJ? We have it. It's on there, Ben. Did I go by? Where is it? It's after this. Okay. Okay. Perfect. Yeah. Okay. I got it. Okay. Oh, I see it. There it is. It's on my screen. I missed it. Can $1 .9 billion in expiring options shake the markets? You know, guys, we're getting to a place of decision point for the market. We're getting to a decision point. Bitcoin options expiry days come around again. And, guys, the end of Quarter 3 is going to be the end of September. That's going to be a, like I said, a decision point. Where is Bitcoin going to go? Are we going to continue upwards? And are we going to see things slowly ramp up to the halving? Do we need another bloodbath, another dump? Certainly don't see new lows come into play anywhere. But are we going to see a dump down to 20 before we have our resurrection point? It's all very interesting things to think about here. And if you look at traditionally when we were in the bull market, man, the end of those quarters would be absolutely brutal. They would destroy some of the pumps that we had. Now, we're on the backside. Now, we're in the bear market. Will the options within everyone's bearish attitude, will these actually counteract and go the opposite direction and cause a big pump? I certainly think it's possible. We could see that. Now, what does that mean? Well, the pain point for bulls and bears, the middle ground is $28 ,000. So at some point, it's going to either push up above $28 ,000 or it's got to show that $28 ,000 seems to be unachievable in the moment. Right now, with Bitcoin at $26 ,000, of course, it seems achievable. But are we going to dump down lower and make $28 ,000 kind of out of the picture again? We'd have to go below $25 .2K and hold below that. Here's some of the options. You guys can see here what this looks like right now. We are, you know, heading into the 1st of September. This is the 25th of August here on the left side. That, of course, is, yeah, the 25th of August. That's Friday. That's today. That's actually today. Today is, no, no, sorry, today's Thursday, right? No, it's Friday. It's Thursday. It's Friday. It is Friday. I forgot what day it is. We didn't do the show yesterday, so it got really turned off. It is Friday. Today's the day they expire. So, guys, we'll be watching for some interesting action. You know, see, you know, if Bitcoin is going to pumper down based on all this. Right now, it's holding strong. The overall market cap around $1 .1 trillion. So it doesn't seem to have that big of an effect so far. Okay, so let's go and move on to the charts.

The Bitboy Crypto Podcast
A highlight from CRITICAL Cardano Update! (Shopify Altcoin Partner)
"We are going to have some fun today. The Nictatorship is here in the land of BitBoy Crypto. Welcome to BitBoy Crypto. My name is Nick. Over there is Tim. On the board is Drew. We've got a studio audience today. We've got a lit show. My shirt is on fire. Yes, literally. I appreciate everyone here in the chat. Everyone in the chat is probably gobsmacked that the dictator is here on BitBoy Crypto. But you know what? Ben is traveling. It's at a rare evo event. Hobnombing was a bunch of Cardano people. And Deezy is there too. So hang on. Coffee. So it's my turn to run the ship. And as we all know, we can't have Tim immediately take over the BitBoy Crypto channel. They're just kind of easing him in, right? So yeah, like I'm the bench host, right? And then eventually Tim's gonna earn his spot. And this will be TimBoy Crypto. Who knows? So, oh no, not Nick, says Pedro Lavador. Sorry, bro. It is me. No, not Nick. The Nictators in the house from Paul. Flip a Frank. Nick's shirt looks like a 70s living room set. That's exactly the vibe I'm going for. That is exactly the vibe I'm going for. Appreciate all of y 'all. We've got some incredible, incredible news popping today. Tim, how are you feeling, bro? I'm feeling good. And here's the thing, guys. You need to know whether it's Ben or Deezy or the Nictator, my role on the show is to keep the nonsense to less than 2 .6 percent until the end of the show. And at the end of the show, the nonsense gets turned up to a thousand. So yeah, that will continue today. Yeah, I can tell you what. Ben has a difficult job because seeing myself in like six different spots plus the chat, it's a little overwhelming. But I think we're gonna push through. Or we could just end the show. I could just say steak and then we run the mid -roll and then we're in. We're done. Plus one in the chat, if you want me to end the show right now. Actually, there's a lot of Nictator love going on in the chat. No, we don't ask chat for that kind of power anymore. Sometimes they tell us what we don't want to hear. Well, no, I wouldn't give them the illusion of being able to vote. Just like the elections in the United States. Let's move on. Looking at BitBoy Crypto, we've got 1 .45 million subscribers. We've got videos on Matic. This one's really great. Everything you need to know about Matic. We've got Ben coin to one penny. Big update. XRP domination. This video is probably one of the best ones we've done in a long time. 52 ,000 views. Go ahead and check out our content. We make good content, folks. We do. Okay, we've got a negative one from Nate Wick. Appreciate the vote of confidence. You can simp for me on Twitter at Nick DeMundi. I've got there are flames coming out of my mouth at all times. So just be prepared. I'd say it's 30 % crypto content, another 40 % trolling, and 10 % just sus. Look at that outfit. Yeah, this is my Tyler Durden outfit. So, okay, you want to know the story of this jacket? I think I've told this before on ATB. You have 20 seconds. Do you know where I am? Where? Okay, I am at a Christmas wrap party for Stranger Things season 3. This is actually one of the costumers just seconds that they had spare from the costumes for Stranger Things and I wore it and I was about seven Miller Highlifes in. That's my eighth Miller Highlife in my hand right there. And I'm having a good time. Yes, I worked on Stranger Things. My wife and I worked on Stranger Things several seasons. Great times. Love those people. Cool story. Yeah. Let's get into the market watch. Let's get into the market watch. Tim, I like it. It's passive -aggressive. It's a little snide. I like it because it pisses me off. Let's get into it. It fuels you. Coin market cap, Bitcoin 26 ,059 doll hairs. Hang on. Get this crap off. No one cares about the fear and greed index. Hey, everyone's afraid so guess what you should do? When the fear and greed index is red, you should probably consider buying. Remember, everything I say is financial advice. Is it good or bad? That's up for you to decide. Let's see. 662 exchanges. Volume is in the toilet. Okay, like this is, we've had rancid Taco Bell bowel movements level of volume. It's so low and so heavy it cannot get possibly any lower. Ethereum gas is 36 quay. I don't do the math like Ben does because I'm not good at math. I was a communications manager. Okay, like I need a calculator to do anything other than addition and subtraction on fingers. So yeah, fear and greed at 35 out of a hundred. That's great. Buy the red. Sell the green. Ethereum is at 1 ,645. Let's see. XRP scam coin at 51 cents. I'm just kidding. I hold XRP. It's going to pump. It's gonna make people money. Everyone calm down. Cardano at 26 cents. That's quite a steal and we're gonna talk a lot about Cardano coming up. Okay, what's your, you had, you have some history with XRP at 51 cents, don't you, Tim? I mean, to be fair, my history was actually at 55 cents. It was a little bullish, but I do want to say we're gonna continue on with the show. Negative five points for the dictator for using the forbidden coin market cap. Oh, is that another thing? That's forbidden on this show. So we're gonna have to keep moving on. Should we use lunar crush? But yeah, no, XRP for sure. 55 cents got turned into resistance rather than use of force. We're fixing it on the fly here. There we go. There we go. Alright, you can have your five points back. Is it? So much worse. Listen, this is the new show. Chat. CoinGecko. Chat, tell us what to use. Tell us what to use. Tron is at seven cents. Guaranteed short. If you want to absolutely be guaranteed to find successful shorts, Tron and EOS are your coins. Just look and see what the market's doing and Tron and EOS will probably do the opposite. Dai, hey guys, stablecoins are still at a dollar, which is unfortunately an important headline that we must keep track of. Mm -hmm. Litecoin coming in as a $65 stablecoin. Let's see, Avalanche for under $12 is an amazing scoop. I know Ben doesn't like Avalanche, but look, it's the corporate coin. It is what it is. Stellar at 12 cents. Love Stellar. Chainlink at $6 .17. I think Deezy is actually gonna buy McDonald's Happy Meals worth of Chainlink today. Let's see. What are their movers? Oh, we got to do the 24 hour, right? Can we do that on Lunar Crush? Oh my gosh. This doesn't seem very germane to the conversation. Shout out to all the fantasy gold holders with a 90 ,000 % pump over the last 24 hours. My God. Do you know anyone who holds fantasy gold? No. It has a $157 million market cap. Hey, that's pretty big for them. 24 hour volume is $12. Okay. Or 12 million. Alright, let's, we have to go back to CoinMarketCap. That's the only way I can do this. Oh my goodness. We need the 24 hour price. These, I'm giving the squad what they want. BoneSwap, no jokes, up 16%. Didix, up 5%. Basically nothing. Render under $2. Great, great pick. Maker, Aave, Solana. Let's see. Go down. Let's see who's a loser. Thorchain, Monero. Perennial Loser, Curve. Chainlink. Deezy's Apecoin is still down. Deezy's Apecoin. Oh my gosh. Look at this chart. It's been a rough, good, googly moogly, rough couple months for Deezy. Wow. I would say the fundamentals are not bullish on Apecoin at this point. Hang on. Let me sip this. This coffee brought to you by Trezor. Oh, camera's struggling. Lavazza coffee is what I'm drinking today. Top tier coffee. All the nutrients you need to trade on the fly. It's kind of a new show today. We're going to get into continued market watch, but in the other side of the market that we rarely ever cover on this channel. Mining. Look at this. We're going to cover some mining today. They can't stop me. What are they going to do? Turn the stream off? Let's see. Mining. All of crypto, all of your gains brought to you by mining, because if there was no mining of Bitcoin, there would be no crypto. Let's see. Bitcoin is up 79 % today. BitNet money is up 26 % today. China is up 15 % today. We covered this a little bit on Blockchain Basement last night. Verus coin, very interesting coin, up 6 .3%. This is mineable on a cell phone, on a GPU, on a CPU. It is actually throttled, so there cannot be ASICs that mine Verus coin. It's positioned itself as like a currency coin that is very, very spread out, much like Cardano, as far as decentralization goes, but it's like Cardano proof of stake, but proof of work, and you do it on a phone. It's actually optimized for ARM processors and GPU processors, so very interesting coin. You can mine it on any phone, any tablet, any GPU, any CPU, and actually make quite a bit. Let's see. The gainers for today. Rethereum. This is an interesting project because it's Ethereum as it is now with all of its upgrades, but still proof of work. Okay. They relaunched the Ethereum chain. It's not Ethereum Classic. It's not ETH POW. It's Ethereum with all the upgrades minus proof of stake. Interesting project. I'm looking into it. It's the reward gainers. That means the hash rate has gone down, but the profit of the revenue that you're getting has gone up, so you're able to get 49 % more Rethereum than you were just a couple of days ago. Octaspace. This is actually... I don't know if I should... If you're subscribed to Crucial Crypto, you're gonna know about Octaspace. That's all I can say about that. Kadena. Don't sleep on Kadena. Do you know why no one should sleep on Kadena? Why shouldn't they sleep on it? Because it was made by JP Morgan. Oh, okay. Do not sleep on anything that the banks have a hand in. Kadena is one of those things. Casper. Rewards have gone up 5%, which is probably because a bunch of people sold. All right, what's next? We do merch? Oh yeah. Hey. We haven't done merch in a minute. We sell merch. There's Mirel. This is very intimidating. The rings. There's TJ. Let's go back. If this is a D &D class, what would it be? If Mirel was a D &D class, what would he be? Chat, give us your input on who you think Mirel's D &D class is, given this getup. Let me know. I've been neglecting Chat. Are there any good questions for Chat right now? I don't think yet. No, I mean, a lot of people saying how much they love the dictator and loved him. No, you're lying. No, they, I mean, there were, I mean, there was a mixed bag, but they definitely said they loved it. All right, all right. I believe you now. Hot on the block. We do have some really cool merch. Read the positives. Read the positives. Yeah. Okay, there's your merch. Should we move on? Should we do Ada versus the SEC? Okay, this is a really cool story. So, US SEC not coming after Cardano, Charles Hoskinson whips it out online, explaining the SEC's continuous crackdown on crypto entities is political and has nothing to do with securities laws. Chuckie Ho -Ho, founder of Cardano, believes the United States Securities Exchange Commission will not come after the project's native token, Ada. Interesting. He didn't say not him, but not Ada. Okay, that's fine. During a recent YouTube interview on Corey Costa's crypto coins, shout out Corey Costa, friend of ATB. Hosky pointed out that there has been no enforcement action against Ada so far. Hasn't there been a couple things where people have delisted Cardano? Yeah, a lot of exchanges have delisted in anticipation that something happens, but nothing, like, there's like misinformation out there. I've actually talked to people who think that right now Cardano's in a lawsuit with the SEC and that is not true. Same, same. Before we continue with the story, hit that like button. Drew, where are we at for likes, bro? Pull that mic down. Let the people hear your smooth dulcet tones. We got 288 likes. Need to pump those numbers up. These are, how do I say this nicely? These are Mike Pence at the debate last night numbers. We need to bump these numbers up, folks, okay? Prove that you are not a fed and hit that like button. Subscribe to this channel. Leave a comment. Get active in chat. Bro, Drew, give me a poll. Who won the debate last night? Poll the audience. Let's get it going. CritKratz, dictator hosting, very bullish for crypto. Heck yeah, baby. Let's keep on going. SEC is not coming after Ada in two recent lawsuits against the world's leading crypto exchanges, Coinbase and Binance. The SEC classified roughly 12 tokens, including Cardano and a bunch of other ones. PhilCon. PhilCon. That's how you say it. Insisting they ought to be registered. Insisting. More like stamping foot. Should be registered before being listed on exchanges. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Harry's Razor's number one customer once disclosed that the agency had asked the exchange to delist all tokens except Bitcoin as they qualified as securities. Isn't it weird that like last week the CFTC said Bitcoin and Ethereum were both commodities? Yeah. I mean, what's what's the Gary wants control, Nick, but this it's over, right? Like no one can serious. No one can take the SEC seriously if another agency says the thing that the SEC says is security is a commodity. I mean, I don't know if anyone has been taking the SEC seriously for a minute now, but we know Gary tries to fight with every weapon he has. And unfortunately, he still has a lot of weapons that don't work very well, but he still uses them. Yeah. And it's the delay tactic. He wants to delay everything he can. Yeah. Yeah. Hmm. Someone said watching Nick is painful. Well, look, pain and suffering makes you a better human being. Okay. Reject comfort. Watch this stream while I host. All right. Who won the debate last night? Vivek Pence, DeSantis, Trump. I would have put Nikki in there instead of Pence because Pence was just like a buffoon. Anyways, SEC's move is political. Yeah. We know this.

A highlight from MASSIVE ADA FUD Will Cardano Survive?
"Yeah, I love me some Ada, but dude is like a bit like Calculon from Futurama with the dramatic pause. No, this is gas. I'm burpee. Burpee here, folks. That's all. 2 ,900 % price increase if history repeats itself. I think they're talking about going from what, like $0 .02 to $3, I think. Okay, so talking about, yeah, when they trade between $0 .10 and $0 .02 days for $665 before seeing basically a 3 ,000 % price surge. I don't think we're going to get a 3 ,000 % price surge, though. I think we might get, I think we get a 10x from here for, I don't want to say for sure, but you know, I think we get above $3 for Cardano. Chat, tell me your Cardano top prediction. I think we've talked about it before. You're coming in at what, $7 or so? Well, at $7 this year, so at $7, it would have to hit, I'm pulling it up right now, so it'd have to hit a $250 billion market cap as the market sits right now. Yeah, and it'd be a little bit more tokens released. There are inflation rates, 4 -ish, 5 -ish percent. And around $250 billion is where Ethereum sits right now. So it's not really out of the question for Cardano to, you know, 24x, in my opinion, from right now. It kind of looks the same as what it did last cycle. It sat flat. A lot of people thought it was gone when it was sitting at $0 .02 and it had previously hit $1 .20, you know, and then it came back and ripped face off. It hit a new higher high. So I mean, it's nothing that I'm going to be missing in the next bull market. And that's one of the ones that's on kind of my list of what I might be aping into. It's just a matter of if we're going to hit that $25 spot or not on Bitcoin. But Cardano and then a litany of other... $7 .32, $8 .76, $4 .50, $7 -10, $10, $10, $3, $4 .69, lucky number seven. Okay, $0 .22. Someone's going the wrong direction. And $280 billion market cap. All right. But there's a little bit of also bullish news here with Cardano, part of the firm. There have been back to back weeks with over $67 billion in Cardano transaction volume. This is the highest level since September of 2021. Anytime I see a metric that is measured in some sort of not round number like $67 billion, it makes me think of when you're watching Sports Center and they're like this national league pitcher, when he pitches on a Tuesday and it's raining and they're west of the Mississippi and his opponent's name starts with the letter M, he has a $5 and you're like, what's even real at this point? Like, are we just crafting narratives? And so, you know, if you move it to $68 billion, probably different. I don't know why they didn't choose $69 billion or $60 billion or $70 billion. And so, you know, although it's pretty good, we haven't seen volume like this in years, September 21. So let's talk about Chucky though. Chucky, he likes to Falcon. He likes to go in deep sea excursions for meteorites. And I think he's going to be a rare Evo. Shout out to the rare Evo team. We're going to, it used to be rare Bloom. We're going to be at rare Evo. We're going to do a live ATB episode. I know Ben's going to shoot some content out there from, we're going to be out at the podcast booth. So yeah, shout out to all the people in Denver. I'm going to Meow Wolf and Casa Bonita. Oh, you are going to Casa. What'd you get the lottery? Did you, did they accept you into the lottery? So that's no longer a thing. That was like, just what they did, like a limited open and then they they've reopened since. Okay. And so that was for the limited time. Okay. All right, Charles, they're actually about to like open up for lunch and stuff or yeah, they're expanding Casa Bonita. I've never been. It's amazing. I'm looking forward to it. Everything that it's, we did rewatch the South Park episode. It was pretty funny. All right. Charles Hoskinson reacts to criticism. Cardano is here to stay. Let's see, as it happens, he addressed the attacks on Cardano, particularly the proclamations of its death or relevance or failure by the venture capital coins, crypto media, or the maxi crowd telling them Cardano is here to stay in his ex post shared yesterday.

Space telescope uncovers massive galaxies near cosmic dawn
"NASA's new James Webb Space Telescope is spotted some massive galaxies lead researcher Evo laby and his team were expecting to find little baby galaxies. It was kind of shocking because some of these galaxies were 13 billion light years away. And they had a 100 billion solar masses stars. And so what that means is that we are viewing these galaxies very shortly. We have the Big Bang. About 600 million years after the beginning of the universe. I know it sounds like a lot, 600 million years, but our universe is 13.8 billion years old. The objects were so big and bright that some team members thought they had made a mistake. As opposed to the Milky Way, which is this grand design spiral galaxy like you have seen in pictures with a beautiful spiral arms. This galaxy is 30 times smaller. So all those stars are jam packed. Lapi says in early lesson from the Webb telescope is to let go of your expectations and be ready to be surprised. I'm Ed Donahue

"I don't even know if the world would be ready for Bianca and evil. Like a modern day Bianca to evil if it's gonna be done in the modern ubisoft style, like what people really want that by comparison to the OG. Well, the original idea looked sound when they showed it in 2001 or whatever the fuck we first saw. Did that game? I was not expecting you to go far. I mean, dude, 99% of the actors who are dead were all fucking alive back. I mean, like we've seen the entire generation, sorry. But it's like, you have to look at different voice actors because they're all dead from when you originally did the trade. It's nuts, man. It's nuts how long it's been. And I lived through last guardian. I saw my Friends buying the Kia three for last guardian. And I was like, guys, we don't even know if it's coming out. And it took an entire generation for that fantasy. I'm back in the day back in my days when final facey 15 was called father fantasy versus 13th. PS3, damn son. Yeah. Well, I remember teasing Johnny when they were like Final Fantasy 7 is split into two games and I was like it was 6 years ago where I was like, Johnny, you're full of shit. It's never coming out. And it's come out. So one part one part came out. That's true. And last guardian came out. So, you know, agent hasn't, Sony, where's agent? Yo, sorry. Let's go. Agent used to be in magazines. I remember reading magazines. And they were like, yeah, fucking agents coming out and you're just like, that's how long games can take. But I think beyond good and evil's probably changed hardware twice. I mean, it feels like it feels like that was first announced. There was probably still 360 is being sold. It feels so old man. It was the first Bianca and Evo was like what mid 2000s, like 2000. Oh yeah, that game. Yeah. And then it came out again on the HD. It did. It did. Yeah, it got a backward, it didn't get a backwards or something. So it got a whole, it got a whole HD version. Yeah. So they released it. And then again, it's hard to tell when they started because I'm pretty sure it's been restarted multiple times and then Michelle on cell, he left a few years ago, so now it's like, what is happening? But ubisoft lost what 6 of their major creative people to do to all of the HR issues. Like we've lost a lot of their major creators and so that's another thing like did that person take the entire focus with them and so those companies had to switch. Yeah, it's going to be interesting to see how everything works. I just have this sinking feeling that it'll be ubisoft being so tentative and we're going to get like a where it's just like here's like here's some planets that you can go to. It feels like they probably also have to worry about starfield now because I don't know if you guys remember. It was originally going to other planets and all this stuff and it's now we have two games. We've got the game you can't fight, which is no man's sky. Like you can't there's no, that's its thing. No man's sky is its own world now and then now you have star field and there's a bit of an overlap with beyond good and evil because they were talking about flying to other planets and all that stuff.

"Is a Bloomberg business flash. All right, Charlie, thank you so much. Well, last week you might have caught the headline that global payments agreed to buy Evo payments in a nearly $3.4 billion deal expanding global payments presence in new regions and that included Poland, Germany, Chile. It also enhanced its scale in existing markets such as the U.S. Canada, Mexico, Spain, Ireland, and the UK. That was according to a statement that the company put out. So let's talk about the global payment space. Let's bring in Guido sake, he's senior executive EP and chief information officer at the publicly held global payments. It's a $35 billion market cap payments tech company. The customers include or have included many in the financial space. So we're talking about discover financial American Express a lot more. Guido joins us on the phone in Atlanta, Georgia. Guido, good to have you here with Katie and myself. How are you? Very well. Thank you so much. And thanks for having me. Well, it's great to have you here. A business like yours can see so much and tell us what's going on in terms of the global economy. You guys have a lot of, I think, about 25,000 team members, a 170 countries around the world that you operate in based on the business that you are seeing, what does it tell you about the global economy right now? Well, the trends that we see are still very solid and particularly we see a lot of investment stealing technology, especially for the medium and long-term. I run technology here at global payment and I'm proud to say that our companies strategies the predicated on distinctive software and that seems to still have a lot of traction. So we see still the consumer being resilient. We still see businesses investing, especially in technology and especially in areas where they can deliver value. Business models obviously need to complement the technology investments, but I think we are well positioned and we think that will weather any storm that might be coming our way. And Guido taking sort of a global look. Tell us a little bit more about the Evo transaction. How does that expand your scale? What other markets are you looking to enter here? Sure. How do I strategies based on exposure to what we call faster growth markets? And so through the ebook acquisition, we can enter new geographies. For example, attractive markets, including Poland, Germany, Chile and eventually Greece as well. And also gives us incremental scale in geographies where we already have a strong presence, including United States, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Ireland and the UK. So it's a great compliment. And in addition to that, we've also brings us complementary technology capabilities, especially in the areas of business to business payment, which is a strategic area for us where we're expanding very assertively. And Guido is interesting. I feel like the payments space in particular has seen sort of a round of consolidation, especially on the heels of some of the acquisitions that you've made in addition to Evo. I mean, you also bought a software company they go last year, I believe. I'm curious at this point, are you done? Are you looking at anything else? How much consolidation is there still to come? Well, I think consolidation is part of the story. The other part of our strategy, especially for acquisitions is to drive what we call our technology enabled and software driven strategy. So we always look at further penetration into integrated and business to business payments as well as distinctive software that we can then bring to market the combined compelling experiences in certain verticals. Think about healthcare or quick service restaurants and others with embedded payment software that includes acceptance processing and settlement of payments. So overall as a company that focuses on B2B, we help our customers run and grow their business. That's really what we're all about. So how close are we in your view, especially in the developed world to becoming a cashless society? I feel like I rarely carry cash anymore. Yeah, that's what my wife always says that I never have more than $20 in my pocket, right? And I always need something for delay or the occasional cash payment. But really, we see we see that coming to a low end. And it's all good for us. I mean, there is definitely a strong trend in almost any parts of the geographies. Towards a cashless society. And I think that's going to be accelerated by a number of other trends. I would like to bring crypto into the conversation as well, but we see that as another catalyst, if you will. And also the emergence of other alternative payment methods such as PR two PR payments, think about the event of the world. So all of that, I think overall combined into very strong trends towards digital payments that are going to eventually make cash less and less relevant to your point. Guido just got about 30 seconds left here. You mentioned crypto and I think we're at this moment right after we saw so much activity that just sent everything in the crypto space up and now it's come down a bunch and now it seems to be maybe climbing up again just in about 1520 seconds. I mean, what do you think the role of crypto will be where it's kind of accepted as part of the norm or more than or just very quickly? Yeah, I think that we are coming to the end if you will of the frothy aspect of crypto and now we're all focused on actual use cases that can solve real problems. And so we see more and more promising use cases for complicated, for example, transactions or certain type of payments where we can certainly play a role. All right, well, you'll have to come back because we would love to continue this conversation in the future. Guido sake, senior executive EP chief information officer at global payments. Rep. Maxine Waters Resorts to Racism Excuse Against 'Evil' GOP
"She was talking with Jonathan K part on MSNBC. Want you to hear what she had to say. The American people are going to be able to distinguish between us and them. And in the final analysis, we're going to win. We're going to beat them. We don't take anything for granted. We know that they're evil. We know that they lie. We know that they don't give a dawn about facts. And so we've got to overcome that with the truth. They're evil. I mean, that's a strong word of evil. Oh, worse than that. Worse than that. Evo. When you see the kind of attacks that you have talked about already, that's constantly being made by them. That's evil. And I want you to know, I'm under attack also. They tried to send to me. And of course, we beat them back with our slight majority that we have. And even, you know, Marjorie Taylor Greene, I believe, has something up to expel me from the Congress of the United States. Can you imagine people with this kind of attitude? And these kinds of actions. And this kind of racism that they just play all the time. Talking about expelling me or anybody else from Congress when, in fact, they shouldn't even be there. Yeah. I love that racism. You know, they want to expel you because you're black, right? Maxine? What is worse than evil, I wonder? What's worse than evil? I don't even know what worse than evil would be. I guess maybe just a Democrat.

I can show you how to actually make speed it up without making them chipmunk himself or you just have a measure that some five four five. I think we both agree that. Brian already speaks at one point one speed so russell he and i share that. Same genetic trait so yeah. Speak too fast Well that's always the fun part. I get on the microphone with these people and with it's just infectious. We just want to continue the conversation. I can hear it. And i hear in the back of my head like slowdown because i'll get fast and then they'll get fast and next thing you know. We're like both yelling excitedly at each other. What we need is a dispensary sponsor. So that you guys can take gummy snow man. I'm all about that visnic. Seth rogan listens. We'll get thrown on here. Because i think the ads on there too. I mean we have the sponsors and so we have the the advertiser right that's baked in because with the newsletter part of the content. We bake in the title advertiser wheel. Maybe one a month. And so they're baked into the podcast episodes to my way of saying thank you. They're baked in still form of. You're right like just because it's dynamic a decision right being locked into it not great making a decision for it thumbs. Absolutely but then we have the fifty sponsors which we do in dynamic ad insertion round robin so it goes through one and frequency caps. It until they get through all of them again and so that's even distribution but we did chew mid roll ads and we just kind of gave them away and it was fun. But i don't i don't know it adds a ton of value. I think that's one thing that we're gonna probably scrap like open ads like that. And i'm sure there are a lot of people who really enjoyed the super anime gas and they were a blast. That recording was awesome. And i think we got some really excited people to get engaged. But i think we'll probably try and just shorten it down. Like i learned that from listening to jamaica. Talk about how you know. They found that their listen through wasn't as good so they started cutting the episode smaller and smaller and certain things. Getting rid of some filler. And maybe we had not. That listened to rate really bothers me but maybe having something a little bit more condensed could be more valuable than people. It's actually really funny to me. Because the jamaica conversation about like how they had been reducing their episode episode and the episode right before was with twyla which was one of the most fascinating conversations you've ever had on the podcast and that was forty five minutes long fifteen minutes longer than any other episode than the next jamaica and that would still runs thirty five minutes log because you guys have these amazing conversation. It's hard for me to want to narrow that content down when you're both so enthused about what you're talking about. You know half the time. Have the time as it goes over. I'm just like ian will find the boring parts. Cut it out. And then i see the run time and i was like oh okay. You don't have never parts. There's been like a couple of technical difficulties with somebody's like oh my dogs here. Can we cut this part out. It was like all right. Yeah we'll cut out the part where the dogs here but like. It's always you guys have so much to talk about and so so enthusiastic between the two of you. Whoever you're speaking to it's always really good. I don by. But yeah. I mean i think this is my chance to bring you on the show and say thank you. The podcast wouldn't exist without view. The future of it won't exist without either of you. I could not edit this to save my life. I would throw it in descript. I just hit the button and hope for the back of work that you guys have to do. Vo both just win super hard. And that's like i think that that i think that would be so much fun. I think that atta convention at some point. We should just put like the glass booth and just have people editing podcast there so you can see it live you listen to the conversations you can listen to what they're doing and you hear how long it takes because some of it is work. That doesn't take either of them that long right because they've done it the put the hours in so it's automated now there's flow to eat no matter what you saw the meat of the episode. You saw the unique neo. You saw testing it to make sure that it comes out crash you have to listen to you have to actually listen to the audio and then edit the audio and then put it in there and then re listen to it again to make sure you didn't miss anything and that's ours alone did it. It is quite a process. And i'm glad that you now understand that. The eyes boring into my all. So well when i first started and i think a lot of they. Don't you know when you hear these quotes Season of a show one hundred and fifty thousand dollars. You just like for fucking what. What is that and now. I'm just like only one hundred and fifty thousand dollars is like i. I assume at that rate. It's you know it's as much hand holding as possible but like i don't actually know how much more you could hold my hands. I record the episode. I kick it over to you. You ian and you have to listen to it and tell me what then to say to properly stage. 'cause i don't introduce my episodes very well at all. I stopped even naming the people and like announcing that. When i live recorded because i'm like ian union kid just tell me the better way to t- them up much better. Why guys thank you again. So much in one has been awesome. I could not have expected this much. Success sounds profitable where a podcast about podcasts. Advertising in technology Both view are instrumental. "Gene. Taylor is the new. Ceo of american public media and fireside chat has updated its terms which still say that the company can use your content. however they like they've also banned some journalist accounts including mine. And that's the latest from your daily briefing newsletter abuse dot net sounds proper started as a newsletter and grew into being a podcast around six months ago now on our thirtieth episode talking to people behind the scenes that helped create sound profitable. The podcast producer. Yvo tara an editor. Ian powe will join me on this week's episode to talk about the long road that was the first season of sounds profitable and what we have to look forward to for the future. Okay so this week. I'm very excited. We have ian end ego here. The two guys specifically responsible for this. Podcast even existing. Welcome to the show guys buddy. Thanks for having us brian. I think this might be the first time that we've done three people on the podcast for the actual interview part. So it'll be real fun and make sure that nobody talks over each other. Yeah can't wait for all this crosstalk going to have to edit out especially because we're all a bunch of loudmouths. This'll be really good. It's very true very true. So the reason we're doing this episode is that we are wrapping up season one the arbitrary end to the first iteration of the sounds profitable punctuated finally by my decision to take a little bit of time off with the family and then the amazing news that will do in the next episode with arielle nissim black. Who is coming on to be my co-host and we're going to re jigger the entire podcast see what worked. And what didn't but today. i kind of wanted to talk through with ego any and so did the production. He built the initial like plan for the podcasts. With me and and edits the raw files with no plans that i send over to on a constant basis. The feedback from you guys is both listeners. The people who designed it and really what happens when you hand off a designed to somebody else to to just kinda run with so you know yvo me you. You've been working with south profitable since day. One you edit every single newsletter that goes out we we hit it off amazing at podcast movement in la twenty nine teen pre pandemic like pipe the back the day before the pandemic yes and and yeah. We hit it off. It's it's been great. And i've learned so much from you because i talk about the technology but i definitely am still in the mindset of well if i have seven microphones and their turn them all on this got to be something usable there you help me design realize that that's not the case not look better. Yeah so the first situation of the podcast like we. We thought about it. What were your ideas for it. I mean everybody here. Listening to it is experiencing it right now but when we talked about doing the podcast i know what my ideas where are kind of want to hear your thoughts on it. Well i mean for the people who don't know didn't start out as a podcast. This started out just being sounds profitable the newsletter which talked about podcasting and i remember several weeks into that brian. You brought up a really good point and that is hey. I suddenly find myself working in podcasting. You were working podcasting in a previous life. Obviously but now here you are talking about podcasting and you feel like you might be faking it a little bit because you weren't actually a podcast and so i said well we have a solution to that. Let's me so profitable the podcast and you said great. And then i said here's how much work it's going to be and you said not so great so that was a lot a lot of collaboration between the two of us of how can we do something we both new we wanted to do. Something with sounds profitable as a podcast. We just didn't know exactly what it was going to be. I think a lot of ideas were floated around. But you came up with the idea of. I two things you wanted to do one. You wanted to utilize as much ad tech in the podcast itself as possible and to you wanted to do something other than just narrate your articles or just. Because i wasn't going to be interesting enough right so how can bring more people involved in. How can i do more stuff inside of the ad tech bubble and so we padded around a few ideas. And that's what we came up with what people have been hearing thus far for season one of sounds. Profitable the podcast. Yeah and it was. It was really fun. Because i think there are Really any other podcast ad tag generalists right like i definitely think that i have a good expert knowledge of this stuff. But they're not as many well rounded people but there are so many people that have amazing specific knowledge. And i wanted to talk to them and help you know. Share their voice and point them out as people that other people can go interact with the lorrimore from and that was really exciting for me but figuring out everything around. It was tough. I mean you know joke sent me over a base camp in bite that we went back and forth on for months. I mean it's super well laid out. But i was so overwhelming like the idea. I think the second we said. Let's do a podcast. I literally just started booking meetings and talking to people like we're doing now like you're like hey what's the flow would you want to do is like i will just hit record and then we had to mash that into something right. We had to figure out how it starts. What's the breaks in the middle. What's the end and be the. I admit that i was a little heavy handed with the attack in the intent was really to just show that more than anything else with the content being the vassal that we get to it like hide impede cinema and mashed potatoes But you know we. We got there. And i think it was. It was really fun. And i think we've learned a lot from i agree and i think you learned a lot of bounce the process of podcasting. You now have a much greater appreciation for what it takes to make a podcast. A even a podcast like this. Which is while the ad attack is pretty cop. Look you've done a lot of work. In the ad tech space right. The actual content of the show itself is relatively straightforward. I mean there's a couple of things. You record a couple of sentences that ian rights and then you just narrate and then there's a conversation you have with someone else about an article and ian smashes it all together through the magic of using digital audio workstations. So it's pretty straightforward. I mean we're not talking deep editorial process. We don't have weeks of conversations about this but still you now know that now you know why it is when you called me up. I think on thursday i said. Can we be live by tomorrow. I said no has a matter of fact tomorrow when you high so yeah because it's now now you get it and that you have a much greater appreciation for what all podcasters go through and to walk everybody through the process. I mean now that it's live right. So ian i went through worst guy after me and ego planned it all out and we sat all of the dynamic adan certain points. And you'll hear that. Like we actually even commissioned new music because we wanted to try and make it as seamless as possible which it's as close to anyone who is not an obsessive audio nerd can get it Just because they would have to rian code the entire file and that doesn't seem to happen on basically any answer. We want discovering some like really basic stuff that i wasn't aware of that like ambi. Threes have a built in like millisecond. Delay that is enough to make a notable audio difference. If you're trying to connect files together so we have switched to uploading everything and wave and stuff like that. It.

"Don't know how to stop it so they continuously send these these skill but not have ever returned so and the idea is that this has been going on for so many generations that at some point he just becoming. We send one of our best to this island doing. They're never gonna return to me. That's a that's a ritual sacrifice knowing what they're going to face not what the problem is and just hoping. Maybe i'll be the one that figures out how to finally solve this realistically. I'm probably die here and so came. The game of course posed this question of well. What if something were different. What if something about this instance of that. A new variable. Enter the equation. Which in this case is she bonds with the mythical offspring of the the great sort of mother. God this this maternal listrik eagle who has a kind of child out that becomes your eagle companion and that represents an x factor that no prior hunters had the benefit of so. Our story is therefore different. But because there was this baked into the narrative framework. Was this idea that you don't even know why you're on this island. I was always very fixated on that very tash that so i thought the music can progress and get more confident and like she's coming to understand her role she's coming understand what's going on here. And she meets character of the god slayer and and he very clearly tells her. You know you're nothing. You're you're you're you're you're just you're just yet another piece of cannon fodder to me and so i thought every time you beat one of these bosses the music should gain the sense of heroism and confidence such that. It's far more ominous and far more in a way ambient early because you're still in this mode of exploration but the time you're zeroing in beating your third boss you've really built up quite a lot of okay now. I'm on a mission now. I know what i'm doing. I've done it twice. I got the third one in my crosshairs. I'm i'm i'm kind of properly point so but of course you have no idea as a designer. What the order of the boss is going to be so first off. This just has to recognize any boss will advance the system. But we don't want it to be quite so clumsy as just that so then yes on top of that. The system is always tracking where you are on the island which means because the bosses are in a fixed location so even though rain you can do them. In any order like the giant sorrow pod sort of quasi bracket sources on this plateau. Serrano the kind of demon elk is on this plateau. So whichever one you got to there are localized aspects of the score. Which will infuse with whichever part of the story you are in delineated and they kind of traditional act one to act three and so that that gave us a framework and then in addition of course. There's a there's a lot of things that can interrupt the music. Certain locations are very special so when you enter into those locations we'll shift gears to make that music of that kind of take control for this little microcosm of a moment or things like these giant red storm events you know those will kill the music completely and become the steve green design show while you're in the midst of those because it's chaotic very scary. And we we. Don't let us any part of those votes etcetera etcetera. So yeah it was about creating this kind of grid of this location. One variable where within the story means this other variable out and then a bunch of localized systems are yet another variable and all that adds up into something that hopefully feels like. It's just whatever you did. The music told your story.

"I think there's thinking of a score as moving in a similarly kind of three dimensional non-linear ways i think particularly helpful when trying to write music an open world game where the player has pretty massive agency over how they progress through. You know so the way. It works in the pathogenesis. The you're on this island right and it's an open world environment. There were showing fabulous. Nickel harper is at morgan. And so it's an open world. Island has the the basics of the game centers around three plateaus. That have three different kinds of big boss. Monsters right so. I said okay. Big picture is defeating each one of these losses constitutes like a trial for this character of this hunter. I wanted to feel having done. It once was a big milestone for her in her kind of hero's journey and then doing it again is yet another milestone and then a third time. National's really accomplished something quite magnificent and then of course the story for sale proceeds onward from there. She travels up into the mountains. Obviously we're not. It's not done yet at that point. And so i thought i each of these should feel like a pretty big milestone musically such that progressing past boss any boss will advance the clock in the music's sense of heroism and confidence because also again back to the subtext thing we we declare early on that. She's being driven. She's being dropped onto this island by her. You know unnamed culture in a weather. I always like him to this kind of cliche image of sacrificing your your towns virgin to the volcano that kind of idea or or the this. This idea that you've got this ritualized form of sacrifice in like aztecs and mayans had a lot of this kind of big to the almost every society at one point or another had some version of this in fact there's a fantastic episode of south park where they argue that modern day. Paparazzi and down celebrity sort of cult worship is just a modern form of this because people invade into their private lives to such a that we are essentially we are essentially sacrificing them for our social gain and they they do hope it about britney spears being sacrificed for the sake of the corn harvest. And i think it's of brilliant south park episode. It's it's it's it's been up there because they're just continuously so suburban so anyway. I always saw this thing with hunters as an idea that she's being set as a kind of sacrifice because they know there's a. There's a dark magic that's on this island and they.

"And i feel like the music is needs to be supporting the idea that the players are telling their own stories so i would still argue that. Those games are tetris or match. Three or whatever. They're all married in their way. Because i think all human activities inherently narrated this is just part of a bigger philosophy that that everything we do tells a story. Somebody said live your life. As though you're writing a book about it I think that there's nothing that we do that sort of divorced from the notion of of narrative because and that's why that's why it's such a powerful part of our culture for time in memoriam. We were telling stories before we had the capacity cognitively and sociologically even write them down So i think that. I think that it's easy to kind of dismissed. Oh well you know fighting game or multi-player like a battle royale that these are these are not and i think it's just a different type narrative of narrative and so music is in service of of that. Obviously were doing things like amplifying emotions. I think the most powerful tool buzek and everything. I'm talking about right now. Is the things that they have in common film in games. The powerful tool of music is to augment a subtext that is otherwise Missing from all the other ingredients something that all the other things. You're seeing on screen or you're doing through your keyboard and mouse controller or whatnot is somehow not communicating fully perfect example. Last night i made my girlfriend had the had the made the decision to re watch. What was a childhood favorite of mine. Which i had not watched the twenty years. Which is the warren beatty. Dick tracy Always loved that score. It's it's one of those came out a year or so after tim burton's batman and so it was really obvious that they hired danielle bennett. Said we love what you did. Basically do it again So very many ways. It's very similar to batman but there is this love theme that is this very gershwin esque early kind of new york americana and and there's a scene where dick tracy has his his. This woman is in love with other. We struggles to communicate it for most of the movie in tests. And there's this really romantic. Gershwin has love for the two of them and there's a scene where he keeps trying to get breathless mahoney. Madonna's character to testify next big boy. You know al pacino. Oscar nominated for his role in this movie. Al pacino and and he keeps getting testify and she she's so like undervalued. Everybody sees her as object..

"You know even if the re editing you know what's coming and win and the music is shaped around the ebb and flow of the storytelling on screen. So the goal was. Can i create that. Even within the indeterminate players individual choices in a game such three different players looking at three different captures would say. Wow it's as if the composer was standing over my shoulder writing the music in real time for exactly my choice. So that was journey was my first real working on flow prior to that with tdc deeply interactive. But it's a very. It's much closer to that. You know if. I push this or i do that. The music changes in kind of obvious ways of which is fun and and especially in the kind of send meditative experience like that game. You know it's more it's more fitting. Because everything kind of is sort of drifting in this aimless or semi aimless way journey was armour linear piece of storytelling that had very different rules and and was much more grounded in the familiar much less abstract compared to flow and even flower. Though i didn't work on fire for the record but but so yeah so a big component as you as you mentioned is the multiplayer. How do we make the music different. So that the fact that it feels different when you're playing with somebody else. Versus alone is reflected in the score. And it's not just window-dressing so we did a handful of things first off. There's a few instruments that i use a feature in the score. That are only ever heard if you are connected to somebody else. You just simply will nine. Or them and their featured soloist. It's not like some very subtle background thing like it's it's a prominent part of the musical experience to hear these instruments but the music therefore had to be written to work without that you know because in my mind i was working from the like while writing it. I thought okay well. It's a multiplayer game..

"On games that delayed even including delaying. What was already publicly announced. I can tell you. There's you know the Famous shapiro my moto miyamoto quote win which he said. A delay of game is eventually good but a rushed game is bad forever And i think that's just never basically short of the team is gonna run out of money and therefore it which could include also like publishers. Saying you know if you need more time we will. The game outright. You know circumstances like that which are which are not easy to navigate. There's a lot of variables for project director In a studio head to really wrangle with. And and i. I have a lot of empathy for the difficulty of those decisions but by and large if delays an option. It's always better. You know it's funny people. The wrath of people over a delay doesn't compare to the wrath of people playing a game that ship prematurely on an and it away Deservedly so you know. Like i bought a bad product is different from you know but i want it sooner because right that one of those is a very positive negative thing the other one is just a negative negative thing and so i yeah i and i can tell you. Every time i've worked on a game that Personally in my experience that. I've where it was delayed. I somehow always managed to write some of my best stuff in that post delay windham. I've always selfishly like kept. I'm sure it would be better to delay again. Because i somehow you're getting another chance it's like it's like you bullet timed and watch the slovo bullet go by and then you realize i just. I just literally dodged it. I do anything. So yeah i. I've always been grateful using journey as an example. You know we delayed that repeatedly now. Of course the release date was. I think publicly known. And obviously you know other than people who are maybe big fans of flour which t tc may before that It's not like the world was waiting on hand and foot for journey to come out with very different story than cyberpunk or something like that or gotham knights. Here so you know. The there was not a marketing pressure to avoid delay. it was just about cost overrun for for sony. Basically they were saying you know this is costing considerably more than we initially expected because it was supposed to take half this long to make. And he's credit you know they didn't cancel the game they could've and and that can company kept saying we we just more time but we think it will be worth it if you're willing to give us that and and all the music that people have made the most comets to me about over the years since journey came out were all written in the last few months which means is all time that was basically you know given us precisely because we were delayed. So i'm afraid. I i i like it when there's more time to make stuff. Yeah no it totally makes sense. I know that you know. Let's take a quick commercial break. Can i do wanna i wanna. It's gonna be online august. So i'll definitely be checking it out and i'm also interested to see what kind of production stuff that they do as far as with it as well You know what does now kind of having these hybrid lot of things going over to online We'll see if they also are able to take advantage of that platform and being online and what they do with it. So it'll be cool. I think the other thing that we've got as well. This is Big boy feels but we officially found out that gotham knights has been postponed to twenty twenty one. And let me let me tell you right now. Twenty twenty two. it is twenty twenty one. Oh my goodness we lost the ear here. Yes twenty twenty two and this. Isn't we talk about this a couple of weeks ago. Just some of the games that we had chances to come out this year and which ones we thought. I don't think there's any chance that this is going to come out this year. This one was very much on on line for us. I feel however in. Here's my thing about this. I think this really shows companies saw what happened with with cyberpunk whether you know what i mean like it was investors pushing them to come out with it when they came out with it but clearly that game was not ready to come out and and they made the fatal mistake of pushing it out earlier than they should of and it has absolutely been demoralized. Companies had to have looked at that and said oh man like we cannot. We cannot do that and we We spoke with seeven Who plays Siebel young who plays In this and he said you know just from from their standpoint. they're looking to make a game. That's gonna win awards. And i think this is an indicator as to look there's some aspect of this game that they're not happy with or they're not. They don't feel as polish and ready. So i actually applaud and i am happy about the fact number one. They came out right now and said look is it ain't coming out till next year. We still got work to do. I know there are a lot of inter- internet rage people getting salty. The about it. But it's like look you can't get mad because he got mad at cyberpunk that came out too early. There were issues. People were freaking out. So the other alternative is for them to take the time that's needed to properly. You know what. I mean Get these games in a place that they want it to be. So i'm not. I'm not mad at that at all. I actually think that's a really good thing. And i think that other companies hopefully Are following suit as well and you know they start as as opposed to waiting or string people along you know they say look this just. This isn't coming out this year. This is more of a timeline. obviously being in the pandemic It really changed. How on a developed development side. How day work. I'm not in game development. I don't know what that back end. Looks like but..

"Yeah no that's true. that's you ashton. Do you do you think that we're gonna see some companies take more tracks like this to try and get footholds in different ways And do you. Do you like the idea of a sony. Coming in saying we're now going to put on this. And if say hypothetically like microsoft does something similar with a different event and stuff like that i i mean. I don't have a whole lot of skin in that game. But i do think that generally speaking anything that people are excited showed up for. Somebody's gonna work hard to try to facilitate that and if there is a enough of a market there to provoke them to try to compete with it like you say microsoft going after sony having a dominant share as it were that is generally be only a positive thing but But yeah it's it's it's it's i can only tell you from the perspective of having worked on a bunch of games where they have an eye towards the potential in this kind of thing they see the big not just yvo but like the big tournaments that valve will put on for cs go or or or what. Blizzard is able to sustain with overwatch. And and out valor and whatnot. There's definitely companies that. Think i wanna. I wanna get in on that space and you know so. They're always they're always trying. Obviously you know amazon created crucible. I think in no small part around aspirations of that didn't go very well which is making ames's heart most are not going to go very well. Just how as the nature of the beast is a. It's a. it's. It's tough to tough to do well and also even if you do it well to then find. The audience is yet another challenge so but yet the success of these things always drives people to try to make like this. This how i encounter the most is because there's often a i've had meetings before of okay. This is where we're hoping to do. And and you know we're we're going to be the next league. Alleges people like to aim their sights on in those early days. So far there still is just one league legends. Yeah so i mean but i. i don't care than it does. it's a company. Sony wants to buy and rebranding and good. Great i have. I have very little opinion like again. I'm not personally into fighting games but like my brother is. I know i've got my friend. Flexes says I know that the community is strong. And i think for the most part. It's still going to be again the way i've seen it and we'll see how much involvement sony actually has with. It may be more of a. Hey look we're going to give you guys more resources..

EVO Acquired by Sony and RTS, Announces Online Event in August
"Moving to Las Vegas last year evil was the event. I was the most excited for as the premier fighting game tournament evil holds a special place in the hearts of the f g c and e Sports at large depending they push last year's eve. Oh unlocked at least that was supposed to be the plan until Evoque co-founder. Joey cooler was accused of sexual misconduct wage to the cancellation of the event since then the future of the tournament has been in doubt Today evil acknowledge the accusations toward Clark as they announced a new strategic partner in Sony the exact details bit murky, but basically Sony and RTS a new venture out of Endeavors e Sports business have acquired the tournament through a joint venture partnership the terms of the deal were not disclosed their first announced wage. New partners was that evil online will be held this coming August from the 6th to the 8th, and then from the 13th to the 15th the tournaments that have been announced so far include Tekken Mortal Kombat Guilty Gear and Street Fighter off in the past. There have been quite a few more titles. Well big events a TiVo, but with the move to online some of the games don't quite have the netcode up to par to host Malik competition. Yeah. We're looking at U Nintendo last year. That was the reason Smash Bros was dropped from the lineup. It remains to be seen if it will make a return this year. Although it doesn't look like it's going to come out even when competitions can happen in person. So any involvement may push the tournament to focus on different titles not the one from Nintendo Evo is still open to all platforms. According to Mark Julio on Twitter who does Biz Dev for Evo Nintendo put out a statement basically saying, hey, we're still open to Evo for this year. The netcode will prevent smash from being played, but after a two-year Hiatus and was Sony and control it may never come back to the Evo stage personally. That makes me happy. He said but it's not exactly Sony or Evo's fault. I'm going to blame Nintendo in this one.

Bolivia's Former Interim President Jeanine Áñez Arrested for Sedition
"Our ultra Bolivia now where there seems to be a settling of political scores. The country's former interim president, Janine and yes, has been arrested on sedition charges. They're linked to her alleged involvement in a reported coo of 2019 against the former president Evo Morales. His ally, Louise outside is now in power, and Mr Morales is demanding punishment. The alleged coup plotters, Janina Anya says she's the victim of political persecution will have to try to find out more about what's happening and go to the capital. A pause. Enjoying Monica Makiko Monica. Just tell us first about the arrests, not just of Janine. Yes, but others as well. Yes. Lisa, In fact that there are two former minister off Giannini, Anya's government that has also being detained. There are other arrest orders that are taking place right now. We don't know how many there will be arrested because this is not just one case. There are many cases and basically they're being arrest because because because they said that they have conspired against the Constitution. The charges are terrorism and sedition. This is said to have taken place in 2000 and 19. Why are the arrests happening now? We basically don't know what the government have decided to do this. This is the this is in fact, something that happened in 2019 and then beat remind you, Lise. That doing the time that Giannini Anya's came into power, she has bean she had the back up off the constitutional Tribunal, as well as from the U U and as well as the Away s so she had basically all the support in order to, uh, to assume as president of Bolivia legally, So this is this is something very strange that it's happening in the country, and we basically don't know why one off the keys could be the fact that that the movement to a socialism have lost all the major cities. And some of the major states in the country on the elections that we have last Sunday. This election's once where to elect governors and also mayors and Mrs municipalities. And basically the government. The movement to a socialism have lost all the major cities in the country. So probably this is one of the reasons why this is happening. In fact, the second turn the second round off this elections That has to be done that has to take place on April 21st. It's right now in danger, because because of this, and also is there any coincidence that ever, Morales has just arrived in Bolivia from when a Zara's where he'd been Living in exile. Well, yes, probably. That's part of the reasons we just don't know yet. Nothing is very clear because the accusation doesn't have really, uh, legal

Tommy Padula, DarkZero Esport's New Head of Partnerships, On Connecting Entertainment, Sports and Esports
"As you age. Talk about d z as a 1 e sport organization. That's a little bit unique in the E Sports World. You're going to see most teams have a few different squads under their roster, but these like off going to focus entirely on Rainbow Six and we're going to become the top-ranked rainbow 16 in North America and it's a A strategy that's worked out pretty well for them. At least thus far but from a partnership perspective. How does that change your role? When you compete in one team when you're entirely tied to the Rainbow Six brand to Ubisoft, you know as would you're searching out Partnerships. How does that affect it as you just have the one team to base everything around? Yeah. First of all great. Great question. Of course, I'm in my I'm in my first few weeks. I'm still absorbing. I think it's important to note that you know, I'm still taking everything in understanding where we're positioned. Um, I'm not really getting to know the big players at different pedigrees and different tiers within Esports. And I'm under you know, I'm fully aware of our Boutique organization right now. And and how do we position that but I think this is what's really important. Is that right now, we're we're going to start laying the foundation for doing sponsorship and and Partnerships in Esports correctly and in a way that brands are used to and an Innovative way, but also in a way that brings your used to change that as we enter new scenes cuz we we absolutely are going to enter new scenes and and evaluate a quiz like, you know, acquiring and and I believe I believe Thursday for like starting those relationships now with branch that we can have founding partners that build with us so that we could actually integrate them from day one not try to build something and then see who fits into wage rather build something in lockstep with some of these Brands and and find some core founding Partners as we enter new scenes will enter together. They'll be a part of those conversations and and this way they're dead we put ourselves in a position to work in in a way that's more collaborative more integrated than we've ever seen in any sports or even in traditional Sports in the past. So that's what I'm excited to do with easy. It's a great answer. There's some really dead. Eat figs you could do a t Sports as it develops of as it grows. That is a little bit different than the traditional. Okay. I'm going to look for a sponsorship like you might see with you know, the New York Knicks. It's like okay, we could find some unique sponsorships, but generally people know what they're getting into it the mix and with dark0 you have a little bit more ability to be flexible to grow together with that being said wage based in Las Vegas, Nevada. I know that dark0 cares a lot about being part of this community being part of this even though e Sports is a global phenomenon Las Vegas is one of the most unique cities in all of America. You've got Major Brands like MGM Resorts that you worked for major sports books Global Entertainment Properties, massive events concerts sporting events. What are some of the opportunities you're looking for specifically in Vegas to help tie dark0 to the city. Love it. Yeah, you got some good ones here so long Las Vegas is the global Capital Sports entertainment people from all over the world know that if you want to have a good time get entertained push the envelope and be wowed Las Vegas is the place for that Esports is a global Sports entertainment platform that people all of our all around the world participate in in in global Brands participate. And and so I thought what what better place to stay up the flag in Esports it's and bring teams organizations. Leagues and brands from all over the the industry and all over the world to Los Vegas to participate in some, you know Monumental like, you know staple events yearly annually where we partner with some of the biggest venues in a midsummer when you see on the ship whether that's hyperx Arena whether that's the new Resorts World Casino, that's that's being built here across from the win MGM Resorts, of course where I come from the many properties there. I was off work closely with a lot of that that team there to start looking into Esports and how we were going to collaborate with with different organizations input on some of that. So I think putting together some amazing events where we invite some big teams and big organizations to compete on the Strip under the lights with some fans with some crowds attracts people from all over. I think that's one of the wage Equals like we really cool here a really cool to accomplish here. And I think that it starts with those relationships on the strip and they're in our backyard. So I'm looking forward to starting this conversations. Definitely you obviously have some connections to some of those properties as well as will be a really cool to see how you can tie that in Vegas and Esports of sort of danced around each other for quite a long time. There's been some some events held you have the Allied e Sports Arena like you measure the hyperx Esports Arena, which is this massive building on the Strip, but I feel like we haven't seen the complete dive in of the city to e-sports in a way that's going to really show the the events that are going to be know for for a long time. I guess Evo's here for a long time. But that was the flagship Vegas Esports of it, but it really feels like there is a big opportunity for Vegas to be the Ford Theatre. It's been on so many other things and bringing Sports into the fold and creates a really unique sports events. That really wouldn't be possible anywhere else. I couldn't agree more and I think that listen these things take time. Sometimes it's educating the different properties educating educating folks, but I think that you know, God Mention Evo in this other events that we could start to mold off of but there if we'd be we'd be crazy to say that there are Monster, you know Monumental a huge sports events that people will look back on for years that are not going to that aren't going to occur right here in Las Vegas.
