We appreciate a couple of minutes here with Roderick Scott, D Pho. Let's start here. Why do you think it is that these five power conferences are in such different pages like, Isn't it such a bad look that there's not one unifying voice for college football right now. I can't really Begin Tio offer. Rational explanation as to why there is in one central central governing body by which all the other conferences have to follow. So everyone is on the same page. It's transparent uniforms, linear. And there's no There's no dissension in doesn't and it doesn't appear so people are on different pages. I don't understand why it hasn't been organized that way. Why It's It's baffling to me, and I think the result obviously, is one where we have what we have now what we have to conferences who are exciting one set of medical fax in medical opinions as to why they shouldn't play and then you have Three of other conferences were saying, Well, we're gonna take our time. We're gonna wait and see in the CC in particular you have medical experts were saying, although it will be a challenge. They think it's more than manageable to have football in this environment, so You have that wide swing of opinions and protocols and thoughts towards playing what's obviously going to be a sport that's going to be hard to manage. I mean what you have, then the result is going to be the kind of chaos that you see right now. And you and the kind of emotional, visceral reaction that you're seeing right now across a broad spectrum of people from coaches. The players have fans, the media members to mothers, fathers. I mean, it really is. An unsettling feeling and one where you know you're kind of looking around for guidance and looking around for some kind of direction As to what does this look like then? 456 months from now, and that that would be the final question I would have is would lead you to you know, would lead you to the conclusion that in January or February that anything is going to be any different than the vaccine. What gives you You know, the You know their optimism to say, Well, we're gonna have this under control because football didn't put us in this position. Remember? Football hasn't been played yet. This country in this mess that anything right now. So what makes you believe that? You got us into this mess is going to turn around and get us out of it. I'm I'm extremely disappointed and pessimistic as faras. The outlook is concerned no regard. May we talk about the difficulty of the NFL to be ableto managed this virus and for guys to be professionals. We heard him, according twins talking about you know how they how they don't believe or trust that the other guys will do what they need to do to keep each other safe. And in turn, we're going to act amateur athletes 100 of them, you know, on each campus to try and do the same thing, you know? Are we pushing the responsibility asking something? That's not it? You know That's something that the athletes can't even do because we look at the professionals and that some of these things they can't do it. Either Reaction something Mohr from 17 year olds and realizing from adults. There's no question about it. I don't want to say it's an impossible ask. It's a big ask, ask that's going to require you to do things and make choices that you're not always going to want to make, but that that's what life is right. It's always about choices versus consequences if you want to make the choices that don't allow you to keep yourself safe and teammates. And the consequences are going to be your team's gonna get shut down and you're gonna have everything taken away from you that you want to do. So do you want to make that choice? You know what's interesting about that is when you watch hard, Not like last night. I'm sitting here watching it. And I'm seeing how detailed that these that the NFL teams were trying to be the Rams and the Chargers in particular. And how Anthony Lin is trying to priest his team like You know, this is this is a big responsibility..

Big 12 to move forward with plans for fall football season

"Danny Yesterday was a tough day for a college football fan like myself getting a chance. The last couple of years. The host thes Chicago's college tailgate show on Saturdays with Jonathan Hood in Adam Abdullah. I love college football. I love our local teams, and I love professional sports. But there's something special about the pageantry. The passion small college towns that burst into hundreds of thousands of people on Saturday afternoons thie games, the football games itself very exciting, and usually you get to see something on a Saturday in the fall day. I don't usually get to see in an NFL game. Maybe it's a high scoring affair. Maybe it's a great comeback. Maybe it's hitting a nine team teaser that you set up throughout the day that that makes you a bunch of money. It's It's what I do in the fall is I love Saturdays. I'd live for Saturdays. Yes, Very. The news of the Big 10 postponing all fall sports until further notice, and as the quoted here says in hopefully in the spring was disappointing. And then the Pac 12 follow suits and they postpone all sports until the start of 2021. So the key there is. The Pac 12 is postponing football in the fall in fall sports but also college basketball usually starts at the end of October, which the Pac 12 is telling us. They won't start college basketball on time. They will postpone that 2021 It was sad. It was disappointing. We have reports from the Big 12 that there are plans that they continue to head forward and they are planning on playing football. The has been out, saying that their medical reports have suggested that they could continue to play football. Notre Dame is plan planning on playing football in the fall in the sea as well. So Any your thoughts hearing that the Big 10 the Pac 12 that both pulled out of fall sports for collegiate athletes, and in the fall first, I think it's incredibly sad for guys like you and I people listening to us that just love college football, you know, college football season doesn't go off this year. The only sport we're going to have in the months of November, December is the NFL. So we have to really cross our fingers at the NFL. Get this right Or else we're gonna have no sports. Because the MBA is going to be done. The NHL is going to be done. Baseball is going to be done. It's sad for Spectators that liketo watch it. It's incredibly sad for the young athletes. I mean, you know they they've worked their whole lives to get to a point where they're playing sports at a collegiate level. And now to have this ripped away from them is devastating. And I understand How they feel. I understand that they want to play. Listen. When I was 18 to 22 years old. I made a lot of dumb choices, and I probably would have wanted to play too, with a pandemic going on. But I do think that the Big 10 made the right call. I think that The liability issues. You have all these players on all these teams putting themselves in harm's way to play a sport that's making schools. Million's upon billions of dollars. They're getting nothing but a free education, and that's still something but you're putting them at risk. They're not employees like in the NFL. They're they're doing this. To provide themselves in education, But they're also putting their lives on the line to raise a lot of money for their universities. I think it was the right call. I don't know, necessarily if the Big 10 needed to rush to it. You know what happens if the Big 12 pulls this off? They say they're gonna have a nine and one so nine conference games, one nonconference games. What if the Big 12 pulls this off? And they have a successful football season is the big 10 Then sitting there looking like, boy? We we acted too soon.

Big Ten and Pac-12 cancel their football seasons because of COVID-19

"Well, too of the power five college football conferences. The Big 10 and Pac 12 will not play this fall because of the Corona virus pandemic. CBS's Moola, Langley says it's a disappointment for athletes, students and fans. Any hope of a regular college football season this fall may have been sent to much uncertainty, Big 10 commissioner Kevin Warren says, playing at this stage of the pandemic. It's not worth the risk. Big Ten Conference Postpones 2020 Fall Sports Season With Hopes Of Playing In Spring

"News from college football was not shocking. The Big 10 came out first canceling their fall football schedule. They hope to play spring football. Then the Pac 12 announced they have canceled all fall sports, including football and basketball again with hopes to play in the spring. So what does this mean for the other three power five conferences? The A. C C SEC and the Big 12 college football guru Paul Finebaum tried to answer that question on ESPN seven. I think this has been the most consequential day in the history of college football. Never have any of us seen anything quite like this. Now, where it goes from here, I think is really the big question, you see, but ultimately I think it's going to be the Big 12 which is always the quirky conference that will ultimately determine which way this goes. If the Big 12 decides to fold to cancel the season, I think it will make it. Suffocatingly difficulty for the A. C. C in the SEC. As for now, those conferences are holding out hope that they can play football in the fall

Geneva - Great Firewall Of China

"So this is really interesting. China's great firewall titans. A few weeks ago China added a rule. To Block one of T.. L. S.. One Point Three's new privacy enhancing features e SNI encrypted server name indication. Remember the once upon a time, a single IP address could only be bound to a single web server certificate. When any client connected. A Browser, the web server listening at that Ip's port. Would respond with a certificate for the domain that was associated with that Ip. This prevented the practice that has now very common in crucial especially for IP v four known as multiple hosting. Multiple, hosting allows multiple separate domains to all point to the same single Ip. But for that to work the client, typically a Web Browser must somehow indicate from which among multiple possible domains at that Ip it wishes to be served. So an extension was added to SSL to allow the clients. SSL Hello handshake packet to make that specification. Clear. The web server answering at that Ip would inspect the incoming SSL hello packet. If it was in possession of valid web certificate matching the domain the client was requesting in that hello packet. It would select the web server would select that certificate for the subsequent SSL negotiation and would also remember which website to serve to the client when the den made its first, you are L. request. From a privacy standpoint. The trouble with this is that the so-called Sni server name indication necessarily had to be provided to the server right up front before the SSL connections privacy encryption could be established. So that allowed any passive eavesdroppers to easily determine to which is fine. This pending SSL connection was being directed. And one could imagine if you were China running the great firewall, you would be interested in. Secure connections coming up and to which domains they are going to. But this this overt lack of privacy drove those evolving the T. L. S. standard to work out a means, which is present. Now, N. T. L. S. one point three of adding encryption to the S. and I extension to create e SNI encrypted server name indication. This is good for user privacy but of course, it's the bane for anyone having any anti privacy agenda such as presumably the Chinese State which we know has a manifest interest in controlling in censoring what is citizens are allowed to enable to access. Since adoption of new security standards is notoriously slow. This wasn't initially a problem for China, but as T. L. S. one point, three usage has continued to grow. The growing usage of ESPN I as a feature of T. L. S. one point three had been giving Chinese censors some headaches. I have a chart in the show notes, which is encouraging This shows as of the beginning of twenty eighteen. So two and a half years. where the various SSL's and T. LSS are and the the all while the where we are now the bottom two lines today SSL to an SSL three are who looks like less than and maybe ten percent S. L. Three but steadily dropping T. L. S. one point two is on the rise One point one is dropping one point Oh is dropping and one point three is also on the rise. So looks like Tijuana's almost at one hundred, percent support and. Tia last one point three is currently at nearly one third thirty, one point, seven percent. So definitely on the rise, and that means that nearly a third of connections with clients supporting. It at the client end and servers supporting out at the server end would be blinding the Chinese firewall to who they're connecting to. And as I noted at the top turns out that China has reacted. Just recently two weeks ago a bit of a heavy hand by simply blocking any T. L. S. one point, three connections which use ES I. Other. https traffic is still allowed through the great firewall. If, it uses an older version of T. L. S. or non encrypted SNI. And it's unclear what China expects to have happened One, point three and Esn, I are here to stay. But. Perhaps, not in China maybe you'll maybe browsers will. Feature turnoff encrypted es and I A and just fall back to. which would still give you the other benefits of one point three but allow China to eavesdrop. I found an entry in the. List Archive dated from just a couple of weeks ago July thirtieth it was titled in Brackets, T. L. S. and then it said possible blocking of encrypted SNI extension in China. And the posting said, the great firewall of China may have identified and blocked cloudflare's. Es Implementation. He said the poster said I have found that when using a T. L. S. client hello. With esn, I extension to connect to servers behind cloudflare's cdn, the connection will be cut off after the whole Thi ls handshake is done and then that Ip address will be blocked at TCP level for several minutes.

"Then? That is key to your career. And you being where you are today. What worsen turning points there, So I think one of the big Kees is. I don't know if you're familiar with Malcolm Gladwell in his book, but one of his invite one of his pieces of advice I think is so huge is that if you're going to be good at any tender The chin Feldon hours. Exactly. I got my 10,000 hours very early on because I was doing baseball reporting, And that connection came through doing an internship that I did for Fox Sports Florida They needed somebody to do raise baseball games. So I was the reporter for the Tampa Bay Rays. Actually, the scene by senior spring of college and then did it another year following that, and I I had no TV experience because I had only done radio but because of the amount of baseball game Yes, And just be about of time that I spent on that. I I think that was really a turning point for me Just getting the reps and then you know, I finally got my opportunity at ESPN in 2014 when the SEC network was starting and I sent probably 27 emails to all these ESPN people tryingto just let them see if they would give me an interview. Finally, they give me an interview for the SEC network about Two weeks before it was launching in the Atlanta airport, and I thought there is no way I'm getting this job, so I had basically decided that you know, I was freelancing at the time at CNN doing some CNN international work, and I thought that's gonna be my next job. And I'm not going to get this SEC network job and then sure enough, they called me and said that I would get the job on the SEC network, one of the football packages and I think the my final, you know, sort of turning point was when I got to ESPN. I worked my way up pretty decently at Fox Sports, But I knew I would have a long way to go on ESPN, So I just kind of committed to doing whatever they asked me to do so early on. I mean, I was doing SEC gymnastics reporting. I knew nothing about gymnastics. I was doing softball, baseball anything that they threw my way and it was just really good experience. It's so funny first of 10,000 hours theory that we're talking about is Something that Malcolm Gladwell espoused one of his books. I think it was either the tipping point of the outliers. It's the outliers thing. Yeah, And he wrote in that book that basically anybody who excels in any area or specializes in any field needs 10,000 hours of training before they can be Effective and good and right and my summarizing that, frankly, Laura, that's it. And so, basically you dig your 10,000 hours of reporting and in listening to your story is very interesting because I go back on my career, and it's the same kind of thing where You're starting. I was in graduate school at Northwestern in Middle School of journalism. I'm working for the Chicago Tribune on the weekends on weekday nights doing whatever it is that nobody else would do. Wrestling, valuable swimming, curling matches that I had no idea what the hell was going on. You'll do anything that it takes. And you're very quietly accumulating your 10,000 hours. In that particular field and getting the train. They're paying you to get the truth that you need to learn the business. So what? So whatever happened to your ballet career? Like, why couldn't you make it in that? Well, you know, the thing that was interesting about that is that I loved it. I loved the performing aspects. I love classical music. I loved all of it. But I really to be totally honest was never going to be good enough. I was I was good. I was good enough to get, you know, a couple of offers that some smaller companies things like that. That, but I just wasn't ever going to be that good. And I was if that bothered me. I wasn't. I didn't like being sort of the mediocre ballet dancer and no matter what I did, there were just some things. I won't go into all the details. My turnout's not good enough. My feet didn't point well enough. You know all of those things. I was always overcoming that, though, because I loved it. And so I still miss it every day. I still love the arts and that sort of like a departure from what I do now, but I will always love the arts always loved ballet. You just run your story, though last weekend, I think it was my son who my wife had with her first husband, who she lost in 9 11 Was up visiting his basically father's father and threw a driving range near near his grandfather's home. And my son, our son texted me, my wife and he said you were on the drug range is only three of us here. It's May pop And a famous about ballet guy who is in section the city. I'm like. Yeah, that's Baryshnikov. Oh, my good doing their lives up there in place right here right near my father in law. It's for shame. I said. I said that I said, I said, Do you realize how famous and how How notorious that guy is. I did you and and I don't. He knows there is the actor from Sex and the city. That is amazing. This famous valet guy from sex and the city is out here at the driving range, right? I mean, that's that's pretty. That's pretty amazing. Now. Here's something else. That's amazing. Right back in. 2012. You and Miss Florida, Miss Flora, like I never have anything on this podcast before. What we remember about that, Laura. I tell you what, What an adventure. That was when I was in college. You know, I had never even watched a pageant. That wasn't something that my family did. We didn't never watch Miss America. But when I was in college, some of my friends thought it would be funny because you have to keep in mind when I was. I was basically borderline tomboy at that point, like I would show up to the radio station and sweat pants. I didn't care. They thought it'd be funny to sign me up for the Miss USA pageant just as a joke on me. I thought you guys are crazy. I'm not doing that. But then I looked at it, and it was giving a donation to Children's Miracle Network. And I thought, Well, now I can't back out because I want to give this donation and I care about that. So I thought, Fine. I'll embarrass myself on stage for the kids. You know, whatever I get up there and and somehow I got first runner up at Miss us in 2010. And so the journey goes on and on. I realized I could win a lot of scholarship money. I actually won over $40,000 in scholarship, money and Money can only be used for scholarships. So that was great. You know, to help pay my parents back to college and all of those things and I I somehow won miss Florida after competing in it for three years, and that was in 2012 went to Miss America. I got top 15 at Miss America. But I tell you what I got cut after the swimsuit portion, which is apparently the worst thing you can do. Is this Florida? I mean, like, Miss Florida is not supposed to get cut after the swimsuit portion, So I sort of felt like I had a walk in Came out of there, but either way it was, it was. It was so interesting. I mean, it's one of those things that you just never think you're going to do in your life on and I somehow ended up there and really was so impressed with a lot of the women that I competed with a lot of them..

Very historic and like you said wild and crazy time right now in college football, we figure out whether there'll be a season if there is who way. Adam Ridden Berg is scrambling to cover college football including the big ten. conference. For ESPN. Adam I want to start by rewinding a little bit actually from your perspective. What last week looked like because as a Friday, it kind of looked like we were GonNa have some college football. There was this path moving forward on that front and so if you had to make a chart. Of how things stood last week of who is in who is out who was on the fence for actually playing college football what would that chart have looked like? It's like an optimistic chart going back to two marsh but certainly even last week I still felt fairly optimistic about the possibility of a season. We had Yukon that announced on Wednesday that they weren't gonNA, play but they're independent. They're not connected to these television contracts like others are even these these group of five. Leagues. And then Thursday into Friday. He was hearing from sources around the sport that, Hey, this Mac meeting that was on Saturday in the mid American conference that was to be significant. That, there was a chance that at least one school was not going to play and others might be in the same boat and the whole league might decide at that point to postpone the fall season and football. It Yo it became clear that we were heading a lot closer to a you know a national postponement or at least a large groups of the College Football Leagues deciding not to play this fall. And so Adam you and I are talking at about six Oh five pm eastern time right now on a Monday so. What happened today and it will I guess what was the first thing that happened today on your feet? Well, again a lot we reported ESPN and others that the the big ten presidents were strongly leaning towards postponing that was on Sunday, and then you're the news that broke overnight was significant that this crash tag we WANNA play movement From Trevor Lawrence of Clemson and Justin fields of Ohio state. Some of the most prominent players in college football were getting real traction I mean this is your became the number one trending topic on twitter for a little while that was sort of the big story overnight and then today it's just monitoring. You know what's going on in the big ten. There's been reports that they've already canceled. That's not a at least as this recording that's not true. The Mountain West. Late, this afternoon did decide to postpone their seasons. So that's the second FBI's conference after the men American to decide not to play football and other sports this year. and You specifically cover the big ten that's your beat, and that's the conference. Everyone seems to be waiting to see what move comes next. So what exactly as we speak now is happening with the big ten this evening. Right. So it appears that the athletic directors are or speaking that's not a huge deal because they talking all the time now in the League but th, there's a sense of when they'll be a formal vote among presidents that hasn't taken place. I haven't heard from many sources that vote among presidents it's imminent but in theory I, it wouldn't take very long for that to take place if the League was ready to move forward with the postponement. So I think the discussions now are regarding timing whether some of the positions have changed around the conference. You've had a number of prominent coaches speak out about their desire to have. A season the big ten Pablo has always been a league. I I've covered it for a number of years that's been largely unified on the big topics and I can't remember a time where you've had a group of presidents that seem ready to postpone for the most part. But then you have many others loud voices in the league like the coaches like the players saying this isn't right. You can't do this. This is a wrong thing to do at this point and so that that's that's a unique spot for a conference has always prided itself on your equal revenue sharing and you're trying to be unified in its messaging.

"Little bit of time that you did have with the no twenty five when we were at Arboretum. Thoughts. Did you have like how do you feel about this phone in general and then I want to ask you about the no twenty ultra then go regular. Tell me what? Would the alter the first thing? So why it my first thing when when I when I held it in in my hand, I have to say that I was surprised that it's actually physically bigger than actually bigger Dan the s twenty altered because my understanding is that the same that boasts six point nine inches they're not different in size, but the dimensions of physical dimensions on the device. They're a little bit bigger the the touch response. The the handling is pretty good once you put a case on at the hunt little thing on the back that was a little bit not. Not as much of an issue. It's a nice inker though I say. We have the same problem on the s twenty alter the ultra has as its. Literally leaning on my finger right now like this. You can hang it's like an angle there. You I seem pretty good the the SPN functionally I found that was really cool that the fact that they decided to take out the gestures although not not everything worked in the way that we think about it You know cameras seems pretty good and I, and I listened to some of the footage that was able to get back from the from the phone. The microphones are actually pretty good like for yours and me talking to the you know the talking head on the on the camera Oh has actually had and listened to those clips yet. Okay Yay no I. Was surprised on the microphone site because I I typically like I think they made a point of mentioning the microphones. Samson's always had this feature where they have microphones zoom function built into their camera where if you zoom in with the camera zooms the microphone Alongside that. So it's basically focusing the audio So initial aggressive, it actually is pretty good I I have to say. The one thing that sold me though. which was something you did. was that focus pull. The when when you did that focusing level and how fast that that camera was focusing with a one hundred and eight megapixel sensor that's I. Mean we don't have the time time flight space spacesuit that's just separate. I'm just talking just focusing issues that I think the twenty ultra had ever since the beginning they've been trying to fix it. That sold me. That's what saved me on on the idea love that and it's It's it's crazy and I think I made the I think I made the point while we were like messing around with the focus like this is like cannon level dual pixel stuff like it's really nice. It's crazy. It's crazy and is sharp and it does it's so quick and but that's the that's the level of professionalism. That you want. This is what we expect it out of the s twenty and I think it's like I use this as a daily. This is my main device that I have my own personal stuff on and I switched around my secondary line to all of my devices that I when I'm reviewing them because you know it just goes to the headache of reconfiguring banking, APPs and all of that stuff those. So at the end of the day when I saw that. Yes I can see that device becoming my main phone. This is this is something that works for me the Espen functionalities I love because of the documents signing like. I not obviously not everybody does but if you ever have to have signed contracts ever have to sign documents statements or anything like that on a phone. the ESPN just does it right? It has at Bilton its native into it. You can open it sign and send signed PDF's right away

"All right. So the backstory Tio what took place yesterday between the Trail Blazers and the Clippers game, missing two free throws at the end. Clippers Go on to win the game. Pat Beverly on the bench, pointing to his wrist, same time waving goodbye. The wave goodbye is from last season member in the NBA playoffs, Dame hit that game winner and then he did the bye bye to the Oklahoma City Thunder, which Paul George was on that team at the time. Paul George now with Clippers, so yesterday that was won the better games. In the league yesterday in the MBA bubble, Damian Lillard 22 points, but the Clippers they really were outstanding. You had six guys in double figures for the Clippers. Paul George, 21.6 rebounds for assists. They get 17 for Reggie Jackson. Shannon had 19. Couple guys off the bench with double figures as well. "Barcelona taking on Napoli One, one, this of course going. into the second leg at the camp. Now, boss in the end winning by three goals to one heads of discussing Alley Moreno Frank Leboeuf who's about to become a grandfather for the first time. He's adore to in labor and without comment we also introduced Craig Burley as well to the program Craig. Let's start. Shall we reflecting on that win for at the camp now once again Lionel Messi was instrumental. Thank. You. So when you went for thirty thousand and just just delaying the inevitable for him one more game going to the core finals. You know and you can't say much more than. in terms of the performance, it was unsurprising that. Not Play who finished seventh and Sarah will still very much towards the end of the game I thought that you'd brought Milijana Burt eller physical presence. And get more balls in the balked. He didn't do that until the last ten or twelve minutes and so bacelona got away with it was messy sharpness. That gotten through particularly the the bold inactivation killer Bali. For, the kick, but there was one or two calls in the Game B-. Bustle, and got the job done is they should have. Done done against the site are not the best in Syria. We'll talk about some of these dubious calls in a moment but I thought you talked about the so much. Have we I feel after every Barcelona game about how dependent they are on messy? Yeah, it's it's not gonNA take not anytime soon that is the way that they play and everybody on the field looks for where Messi is and give him the ball and led him resolve the issues. There isn't any more productivity coming from anywhere else other on the field. There is a through ball from anybody else there isn't a final pass from anybody else across from anybody else if it's not messy, essentially winning the ball given to himself, crossing the to himself and finishing himself it's very, very difficult to see where Barcelona produces Brielle, goalscoring opportunities and. Again. Today we saw Nantong agrees bid a lot of running a lot a lot of work for the team defensively by very little impact offensively restarted scores have penalty gig, but very little outside of that and really what was truly surprising about this game in the second half is to see Barcelona at home just renounced possession just four for the possession say, yeah, you will. You have the ball you see if you can create something on, we're going defend. Now this is Barcelona we're talking about this is not a millennial team. This is not a defensive team, per se and yet at team that you have historically seen at the count now just knocking the ball around really. Possession Monday, the rhythm of the game that is not what we saw today in the second half they were more than happy to sit behind the ball, very unlike Barcelona but in the end effective effective and to advance onto the next round. Frank is testament to what have done in this competition over previous years. The even three one up I home with ten minutes ago you still felt you had to watch this game to the end just in case Napoli got back into it. Yes. Exactly. Because you know that defensive, a bustling is very fragile and the showed that many many times and. And the consistency now they're the talent is not as well except that you have a fantastic little man missy to also do young think he did well, I mean the outside the food when he gave him the giftable macy when he scored and the goal was. disallowed. is an absolute beauty but otherwise, Yeah Celine Craig, it's very very. Well you. No performance style you know where where you don't see many things you you see only one guy doing the difference and that's it and you you I wanted to to see after the. Win Win scalding just before the off time. Say Six second time. It's going to be better. Maybe we're going to see something. Well, he didn't happen to the bid at some point but. How. The of the day you Didn't see a good game good game I. so average she'll team against I've sees a dude, the shade of the that we known I think we're doing the rest of these bustle and a disservice here. Yeah, they're under performance. There's no doubt about it, but sometimes players even the best players are looking for guidance and we know we know there are holes in the boss loners squad the there's quite a few top teams have holes in the squad. But did you spend all in? Well, let's see. It's just a messy for Barcelona. I think when you look around, I think what they need to find as as yeah, a balance within the squad which comes through budget. But a coach, find a key to unlock the clear talent there, and it takes some pressure off message Volvo they struggled and lost his job and said to him was a man it was going to commend with as Grit football style from Betas and nuts really not happened, and so there is more in the locker for boss of them were seeing I'd just feel that the sampler not playing well, another players looking for guidance. And yet defined the court this going to command and the last twelve to eighteen months or so and fainter sets up the gets the best of everybody else as well as getting the best Lino. Messy then Barcelona will be in better

Will Big Ten be next conference to cancel its fall college football season?

"To what Was reported earlier today by Pete Family. Another mid American conference today. They've already canceled their false sports schedule. They say they're going to try to play college football in the spring. According to Pete Family. Big 10 presidents are meeting today they are considering or that what is on the table. Is that they would cancel football for the fall, impossibly moved to spring. Gordon. What we see from the Big 10 commissioner. There are reports out that he Courtesy of the Detroit Free Press. The Big 10 commissioner prefer spring college football season. Now let me break this down in a couple of different ways won a lot of people going to talk about covert. We are obsessed with covert. We're talking about Cove. It rightfully so in a lot of ways, That's something that we should take seriously. I have to remain cynical. I have to remain Questioning these type of things, because I think there's something else at hand here. And I'm not getting a lot of pushback on it. And I know that they bring up the spring schedule and I I hope it's about covert. I hope it's about health. I hope it's about the safety of people involved. I really do hope it's about that. I do. But I'm just not convinced it's all about that. I think that Yeah, they do care someone about it. Yes, sure. Absolutely. More. I think about this, the more I think that there is a turd on that punch bowl, and that turd was laid in there or around this time last week when the Pac 12 had their players have a list of demands. Even to the Pac 12 presidents. I got a bad feeling that that's part of this. You know, the big 10. Some of those players followed suit. I just thought it was really interesting that today I see a report. Courtesy of ESPN is well, a stadium that Big 10 players from the Ohio State University have said, Hey, we're good. We love the guidelines. We are ready to play. It happens today as the president's air about Teo me of the Big 10. Something doesn't seem right. Something seems a little off. So it makes me wonder about that type of thing. If this is about and I do think there's a percentage of it what it is. I'm not sure there. There is a concern about people. There's a concern about health and safety. And it will. Certainly I'm sure we'll get the people in here so they can. They're 22 year old athletes. They're they're healthy horses. They'd be perfectly fun. I know, man. I know more than likely. Yeah, they'd be perfectly fine. And we've been talking about it for a while. It takes is one even if it were one. I don't know if that were to happen, Hell. My gosh, This is an ugly conversation have but we have to have it is that there are guys who die of heatstroke every year. In high school and college football, and it keeps going And I would wonder even if a person were to die from this in college football. It would maybe keep going. But when we're talking about a list of demands from players where they want compensation, where they want equitable treatment. Wonder if that's a little bit too much for the university presidents. They think, Okay, we'll wait. Maybe we'll wait till spring.

Disney lost nearly $5 billion last quarter, but stock prices surged

"Disney is really an interesting story right now, it is massively exposed to the pandemic. They have just recently announced their results. They lost a staggering amount of money and yet they have some good news about their streaming service and it's like the market just. Has Undying confidence because of the power of Disney's intellectual property well, and the fact that they have pivoted to streaming in a major way I mean only in twenty twenty can you lose four point seven billion dollars in a quarter and have your stock go up because you also announced that you're streaming business hit sixty million subscribers for Disney plus one hundred, million subscribers include Hulu. and. ESPN plus I mean this is the craziness of meteorite. Now in that the the The Walt, Disney Company was more exposed than anybody else to this pandemic because the parks were shut down for most of the second quarter these parks were not operating not generating revenue and they're movie business was essentially shut down because for most of the quarter they were not allowed to release. Movies in theaters yet because the future of the business is in streaming and people on Wall Street and elsewhere are looking to growth in those categories to see if Disney will ever be able to compete with Netflix on that front it's actually a mixed bag for the quarter because streaming is great. Yes Jiming great I mean they don't charge that much for it's seven dollars a month. They have certainly tried to figure out how to keep it stocked. Challenge that Disney has really faced. They came out with the man delorean and then there was just incredibly long pause when you're talking about anything for a person over the age of whatever. Some people are love all of it for life, but primarily, their stuff had been appealing to kids. netflix's firing out new stuff. To the point where you can't possibly keep track of it. Disney was really kind of a bit stalled out. It seemed they had Hamilton and. They got a lot of noise with Hamilton putting the film online, and now they're doing a really big experiment that could affect the future of this industry, which is to put Moulin a two, hundred, million dollar plus film on demand not at the twenty dollar price point that you know universal charge for the trolls released but at thirty dollars. ESSENTIALLY THIRTY DOLLARS And they're saying it's a one off but they're also saying we're GONNA learn from this. This is a one off until it isn't and the interesting thing is that they're not just charging thirty dollars for it, but they're only making it available for Disney plus subscribers. So if you're not one of those sixty million subscribers who already get Disney plus you're GONNA have to sign up for the service and then pay thirty dollars to get Milan it's an interesting strategy. Mean they doing that because if they put it on regular premium video on demand, they would have to share a lot of that price with the platforms that help them That sale up here there's some rumors that they may be sharing a little bit of the price with the theaters that were promised movie that hasn't been confirmed but if they're willing to put it behind essentially a paywall and a paywall, we're really going to see what the demand is for this kind of high-quality a-list Disney content in a streaming

Buffalo Bills’ Tre’Davious White not among 66 NFL opt outs

"Was D day. When it came to NFL players, opting out 66 players around the NFL decided to sit out the season. The deadline was four o'clock eastern time. That was part of a plan. At the NFL and the Players Association approved on July 24th the open training camp as schedule as well as canceling preseason games in Fitzsimmons. One guy decided to let people know exactly what he was thinking about doing. And boy he called Holy. You know what for, and his name, Mr Davis. Why did the Buffalo bills he decided to not opt out after putting on social media that he was considering it. You've known me more than a minute. I'm not in the habit of telling grown folks what to do but hatred, Davis If you're going to opt out, dude, don't put it on social media. If you're going to think about doing anything, just leave social media be. It is not worth it because he caught a bunch of holy. You know what from supposed fans out there? Trying to give him advice about what he should do. And that also leads me to another part of that story, Freddie because today V is white, even going back to his days at L s U. It has always been the ultimate team guy. And when, when bills fans were calling him selfish for opting out, That's one of the dumbest things as a fan of the team or a player that you could do now we all understand that, at least in my opinion. Hey, if not if he isn't the best player on the bills Freddie. He's one of the top two at worst three, but he's probably the best player on that team led the NFL and picks last year. A pro bowler. They can run it. They can cover Peters to leave. The Rams are stack. This is the year, but soon. Are they to download? I'm wearing this shirt. Oh, okay. Okay. Oh, do you? Oh no, no shirt or college football. Don't make me Diego Maradona. Good. I was close to picking the rain as a maverick. Sean McVeigh was on my radio show today by didn't wake congrats on the new show. Donald show. Donald show three thirty to seven on ESPN LA afternoon, but I'm going with that. He is. Listen to what I said a few minutes ago I sent he is on a mission. He is going to carry that lack luster roster because he's so great. He is going to carry them to the promised land. That's how great he is. You got the wrong l. a. team and you guys have the wrong conference. NFC love. Whoa, I have an LA team playing the Super Bowl. You do? Yeah, it's not the Rams. They ain't. Just losing to the saints of this saints. That's a bread, same gonna, win on cures, white. Let's make this quick. Look last year. Pay miracle actually got them eliminated from the playoffs. It's true. They would've gone to Philly. They might win that will not gain on go to the Super Bowl to play against the past true. I think this defense is better than last year. The weapons that drew Brees has now he didn't have it for a long time and he'd also have to throw the football fifty times per game. He'll only has to do that like thirty to thirty five because they have a running game. This is going to be very balanced. Sean Payton drew Brees are going back to the Super Bowl to play the chargers and they're winning the trophy, but he can't win the regular season MVP. Well, That's that's good. good because jewelries beating his old team, that's a story line. Did you ever ran. Rivers apps chargers. Potential. See what Tom Brady has to say about that. We'll see he's bringing his good l. a. voodoo who that is Ryan. Good to see. Thanks for dressing, buddy, see, man, Ryan. "He's gonna have either for a long time. He's a special talent. I'm gonna go with Patrick Mahomes. Andy Reid is ruled. My home, Andy Reid. It's gonna be fun that he can work with any quarterback. And when you give him a young guy, we've seen what he's done before. Remember Donovan McNab very quickly was able to become one of the better quarterbacks in the league. I think the home of the much bigger stronger version of Donovan with a look at your arm. I think they've got a ton of weapons on offense. I think that's key. Horner's stink sent me. That's gonna. That means they're easy office going to be out there a lot. So they Mahomes going to put a big numbers. I love the combination of Mahomes and read. He's going to have Howard show. I'm gonna throw in somebody really quick because there were three wide receivers taken in the top ten of last year's draft did nothing Corey Davis of the titans. Mike Williams of the chargers. John listening Bengals somebody's gonna do something out of that trio. If not all three, they'll have some good preseason. I like Ross. Most likely to disappoint, we're going to start with you Georgia, not you, you're never disappointed, right? Some of my wife says, oh. The Oakland Raiders are going to disappoint. I think there are five or six win team this season. I even thought that before the little MAC trade, I think the trade was an atrocity. You trade the best player on defense, arguing football league. You get you're getting two first round picks you had to give up a second, and you're basically gonna use those two first round picks to chase the next Khalil Mack. Yeah, it's just stupid. Hey, they got fullbacks, right. They got a lot of fullbacks. I'm gonna go with the eagles look, waiters employed rife, Ochoa t the eagles book. If Carson Wentz it's going to take his time to come back, which I think it's a good idea. You don't have to Russia this season. My not be at spectacular, has two thousand seventeen for the eagles. The current world champions, I think they will be the biggest disappointment. They might make the playoffs. I don't think there's no way you're going back to the Super Bowl. I think they'll still make the playoffs. Because even though I thought all those teams, we're going to go over when we did our over owned your segment. But there's been some is been some injuries, and that's kind of changed my opinion of division. I think I think you're right about that fellas by far the biggest disappointment. Again, this season, again, Dallas Cowboys. Why? If we had L. ING Ingvar. are what else is new. If we hang our head on one thing for the Cowboys, it's been well. They got the best offense of line of football. Anybody could run behind their life. We'll guess what they're hurt. They're sick. They're torn up. They don't have. They don't have a wide receiver they are in shambles. And guess what? If that defense is on the field for low enough, they're going to give a point after point after point in debt Prescott here, no air Rogers. He ain't no drew Brees so Dallas Cowboys. Oh, did I mention Jerry Jones. So after the raiders the Cowboys, the Super Bowl champs, I like your style. We speak truth. They're good. We'll see if it rings true most likely to win the MVP Mao. This is easy, Aaron, Roger, easy or like I like going out on all did. Look back. That's obvious kale. He's got to greats high-density, especially that digit of Gini Graham, his still get some good weapons. The opposite line has to play a little better. They have to protect them a little better than last year. But look at Rogers in terms of talent. He's the best quarterback in the history of the NFL, but he's got to deliver. And I think he will. Those numbers will award in the end. It sounds good. That's spicy. But let me name guy who has yet to be an MVP is thrown for over five thousand yards in NFL. One that brings us we've ever seen to ever do. It drew Brees drew Brees has been a Super Bowl MVP. He's been a pro bowler. He's been every. Other sin under the so yes, but other than being MVP the league and this is the year he's got a young supporting cast. He's got Kamara behind him. He's got a defense that is young and exciting, and this is the year for the saints..

"Is thirty six and all brand slam tournaments. After meeting honest Aisha, seven Stover of Latvia. I believe that happened in straight-sets question who is more important to their sports Serena tiger Ryan. You want to start. Yeah, I'll start. I had to think about this Serena Williams. Probably the best greatest female athlete of all time and we can tape it a step further and say, could be arguably the greatest athlete period of all time. All that set Tiger Woods is a guy who literally puts butts in seats. He's responsible for the. Highest ratings in golf history. So we're talking about somebody individually who's more important to their sports. So No, no. no. So true. I'm saying Tigers golf, I'm gonna with tiger. Look. I also struggled trying to make up my mind. D only win in which I can find something to find a difference between them to is go without tiger still has some good gophers like, look, if you go through Sunday and tune into c- DJ Rory mcilroy produce half. You're gonna watch that. You maybe we're not watch that Email Teddy's without Serena, who are we really watching? Nobody pretty much that's the difference of their impact. So that's why I lean Lord ciders just as light margin. This is how you decide this. The math always wins out here. Okay. And the math says that, yes, there is a drop off when Serena doesn't play an turnament, but it's a much steeper drop for golf when tiger is not involved tournament. So that to me just settles all of this. It doesn't diminish her importance or is it just means that his impact is larger because I think that the reality is this when you're watching tennis tournament, even if you're not interested in the other females, there's still the men's side of your bracket watching show that that's part of the equation, right? Whereas with golf, it's tiger and everybody else that you're watching. Watch it casual pants different, but that's what I'm that's a different, but let's brands but the the numbers are there even for just the women side of the bracket. The drop off is not as steep than it is one Tigers not involved in a test. Those are the facts. Okay. But let's just blows out first of all. I think both sports are in a lot of trouble because both these athletes are reaching probably the end, maybe maybe a few years left for both of them. But the thing is Tiger Woods. Therese just point is struggles to compete with the best gophers in the world. Serena who's been in the game for twenty years. It's still the best at the sports far. And these young tennis players cannot beat her and. To your point, the young gophers are proving to be or getting to Tigers level tennis. You can't say that. So now it is, I think a lot of trouble because when Serena leaves, there's going to be a void these young and on the men's side with federal adult veteran adul- tennis used to be your twenty eight and you're done, right? They're going to their mid thirties and still dominant. That's Natalie alarming Sunday at the masters. If it's mcilroy against lefty, you are watching. Oh no, I'm not. I don't care. Sergio Garcia. America's watching US Open final Saturday. If Serena's not playing nobody better. Those are. I grew up watching tennis. Okay. So they said the same thing when Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert were we're leaving the sport. Oh, no one else is gonna be able to carry the man to, and then you know, Steffi Graf came and then was demographic. There's always someone coming more names in tennis far, more Aston years. That hasn't been anybody that has approached the Serena's. That's because Serena's show great. But we thought the same about ten years ago, someone else will emerge understand they're more brands are more names in tennis than you haven't. Golf is just not the same. I don't agree about, hey, why we're here. Yet we watch Serena and tiger this week and it might do it. All right. Coming up next the two thousand eighteen NFL. Efficient way. To break down the upcoming season. Next. On ESPN is presented by the Yoda. Let's go places..

The fans will get a kick out of it. The mustache though. I don't know if that's for real or not. So I think it might be real. What happens? I mean, you're you're, you play professional sports. You get big contracts and you just lose your mind and do whatever you want you should there. Absolutely. You should be the same guy. Money should not change you a firm believer in that money should change the people around you and I don't know, money change, Aaron Rodgers. I guess I'll go with Richie should probably send it. I do have a rule. You have to think about it. You probably shouldn't send it right. Questionable tweet probably should have different, but being that we don't have much lose send it. Yes, yes. Done gone, who's who's who said the next week. Ryan, what is me? Hey, you know what? The shop is the best that new show on TV and nothing is even close. I think I'm gonna ask a hashtag. I'm gonna add some hashtag emojis, fire. Guys got the show was amazing. Tell me what do you think? Should I tweet this or not team really passionate about it? Wave your right Hong fashion. There's that show comedians in cars, getting coffee that show you do see, I live the people on earth, but when they're in that way too, laid back casual I saw with one with Dave Dave. underproduced there was I just feel like it's. Dave Chapelle was on the Maui wowie. That is true. Yeah. Tell I just wonder if it's a little too underproduced. Keep my tension episode after episode is to raw of guys hanging out, but we're all talking about the whole. Everyone is talking about LeBron show you can't wait for the next episode. You're wondering who's going to be on next. There's there's a lot of things going on in there. I mean, everybody wants to know if I'm not mistaking what are these athletes? Anything? What are they talking about? And LeBron show gives you that opportunity. See what these guys really think about it. I'm more about passionate in paradise to be honest. Yeah. He, there's some fantastic women on that show. Larry, I gotta make this not bad, sir. Bachelor. I'm talking in. That's try. That's more interesting. My hot takes her own bachelor in paradise. Okay. That little guy on big brother to. J. c. that's it. That's high tweet about that too while you're at it. Okay. I think I should send it. I think you should. You should have taken in school too. Okay. Could be. No, you're all right earlier in the week, LeBron was seen doing this shoot dance and gym somewhere. Now the dance of popularized by rapper block boy, j. b. in the video game fortnight. I think it's called the the hype too. I know he was. Join the fun now. Hey, I want to tweet if LeBron's doing it. I'm doing it and I'm gonna do better. One is I, I would love to say, tweet this or that. Clarify. Video. Bidder. Camino right there. Well, I'll say what Ryan that. I think it's fair to say more hype than he was with the NFL season about the start. You know, this is going to be the touchdown celebration. It's going to be that and and people doing the the false. Yeah, silver not stand still anymore without doing the flaws doing that Dan. So I'm glad you clarified if LeBron's doing it. I'm doing it again. If LeBron jumps off the brick, you can't jump off the bridge toll now. Hashtag bottles locals forever. And has to, you'll say, swap. I get the move. I'm making money move or a radio producer spot when he comes in their day that you know what that is, that's good choreography. So I think I should send it because to be honest, I can't Legrand and many things, but I think I beat them. They're Santa center. Tweet and that Cindy. "Well, the one thing that I understand about Ramsey's he's saying, if I can guard him, he sucks. That's the that mentality of a cornerback. You gotta be cocky. You gotta be Eric. You got to be the baddest man on the planet, but when he keeps hitting headline come on, he's turning into the lavar ball of quarterbacks in the NFL every just twenty out at this point. He sucked. Matt Ryan is garbage. He's garbage. Grump. Kids count, Super Bowl rings on a playoff win over him, and Zan is look if it was that easy to guard that man with a cornerback. Don't you think every team in the league will do it every blueprint we'll say we're all going to be watching Ramsey week in and week out. Honestly, it's the first time. Longtime, you're gonna be like, what did he do right himself. Target on his back that pressure though, but he's not me. He has a boring job on the defense. If he's really as good as he says, nobody throws outside. So maybe he's trying to, you know, make people mad, get a little wild, try to go out him so he can get some intersects I, I'm not sure it's just bringing into though you love when sports nerds love to pull out analytics. There's analytics that Ramsey saying proves that if you really do the math when a cornerback is against grunk, he does not perform as a player he should know better than how are you wanna dive into analytics and you should know what you give us the run game because he's going to take their cornerback and running into the ground. We look to the jets are playoff team. You are crazy. You have lost your. I like Sam darnold I want them starting, but in my pudding, this kid, can we look at the picture? Are you kidding me? The patriots Broncos chief, the charges, the Steelers, and the Jags, and not forget the. Over the patriots raiders. Your quarterback has broken key. He highlighted highlight or he put on. Hold on Camino. Hear me out here. This division wing every your win is the year where the patriots slip up just a little bit, not. Next year, the only do should be about darnold. What happens at the end of the season there said, and they're not talking about the jets any. What makes us look at the jets besides some interesting pieces in defense, they make you think they're going to be a playoff team, a rookie quarterback, the youngest in history, nineteen fifty backfield that doesn't really scream excitement. And you spoke about that division as long as Tom Brady. So I'll strike that Bella chicks because they could predict proven, they can wins. Without Tom Radi. We shouldn't even be talking about what we are other than a couple given local. Steelers a few possible givens isn't every year. We talked to parody in the NFL teams come out of nowhere. Some teams that are eleven five seventy though. Besides darnold, then what would be the reason that they would even be considered would be. What about Sam darnold is he's potential. We like them because that's become not who he is. Now. This guy didn't just burn it up all preseason long. So you expect them to get to the regular season anything more? No, it's not realistic, not happening. He doesn't have the weapons, not this year. Perhaps a little local. What's next loco. All right homes in my local thing that rob gronkowski is overrated. You see, he was yapping Chirpin loud Jalen Ramsey set down with ESPN's Mikan for peace in ESPN magazine and said, he said this about gronkowski quote, I don't think wrongs good. I don't think grunk is as great as people think he is anytime grunk is matched up with a corner. He's had a very bad game, and that corner has had a very good game. We go to Vic grunk is overrated. Whatever comes after local. That's what we are. We think this is for real. This is the best in in the history of the NFL when I think of titans come close to him. Tony Gonzales Antonio gates didn't have all the intangibles that this man has. He's crazy strong crazy fast, great hands and he's got Tom Brady, no, this is the best of all time. "Me? Roger's own credible? You guys. Ain't kidding. I now listen on on the premiere of LeBron James TV show. I don't know if you watch the shopping Draymond green. This is great because I feel I thought Draymond lower Haight LeBron he said, he's the best player in the world and pointed out that he should embrace the title. Listen with Draymond had to say. Ron over the last four years became LeBron James and it wasn't nothing to do with winning. There wasn't under do stats. He found himself. People didn't start to view him as they've you him. Now until he became net force that man to say, I'm here for years. He shot away from Santa. I'm here and where he started to say. I'm here. That's where he became, who is and no one would ever said that until he did it himself. LeBron James embraced the whole on the best in the world. Well, I remember from playing against the Bron witness switch started to happen. He was very unsure of himself named Dr. Trying to. But the one thing about LeBron he questioned the jump shot him hesitate and fourth quarters, and then all the sudden it was this confidence maker miss. He stepped up to take the shot. And I remember in Miami, Dwayne, Wade, kind of pass the torch and said, hey, Brian, you're the best team. You're going to close out these games and he became a headache. He learned how to win in Miami. So by LeBron taken that over and just knowing he is who cares what you say, what you think about it? He's the baddest man on the planet. I love them and talented. That's the thing he knows. He doesn't need to say everyone else's saying for him, so he knows this ready and it's not bragging his true, but still he doesn't need to say it my wrong in this. He's not only broaching. The greatest of all time conversation is crossing over into that Ali status figure figure transcend. I thought of Ali, I am new greatest of all time. Everybody loved that. And that day. I don't think if the Bronx angle people would be kind to. To be put an other target on his back. He doesn't need after the president. Bush bushes like Ali in to that degree, people even more you making elite athletes aren't braggadocious big Hoppy prime time. He's point LeBron James does. It need to brag, but you see it in his presence when he gets on the court when he walks in a room, he just commands a respect that everybody can love and can see. He told you agent like fine, wine. He dropped Hinson, their hints as you guys know. I'm a soccer guy and soccer is king all around the world, but he may be the most important sporting figure today. More than messy. You agree John? No, messy. And then you go LeBron that conversation because of his social active because of everything he does because of who he is, and he's in that great conversation big, is that for ballplayer? Because we know obviously basketball has a ways ago in football as far as catching the real football? Soccer. How big is that? For an American athlete to be known around the world. It's it's an incredible feats because you look at players that Cristiano Renaldo incredible feet. His Bangor in the term conversation. Most people still say, Diego motto, Gonen Pele for the best ever LeBron that best ever conversation because he changed. If you remember in new known as early days, he played with a chip on his shoulder. He had a lot to prove he's being compared the Jordan very arrogant. Now there's a more humble side. He grew the Amish. Here's the answer is the Amish mirror, mature, LeBron again, he let's speak for itself on the court. We need when he beat Golden State when they came back from three one and he cried on the court, I felt like a moment where the Brown just let it go. I don't care what you think. I don't care Bill. I'm me. I'm going to do me and he's gone. He's been this since then. We all know he's degraded now. Forbes guys, Forbes magazine announced that Manchester United value has increased four point, eight billion dollars, which is the same as the Dallas Cowboys. Hypothetically, throw it out there. Let's say you come across four point, eight billion dollars Fetig. Are you purchasing Manchester United or the Dallas Cowboys? All you have to call me? What are they claim is too much. "Move here with darnold today are they're making the only move with darnold if you have two girlfriends right dating two girls and you let one go, you're forced to deal with the other. So they're making. They're only Josh mccown this equation. Well, he's, he's. Fiemme. East coast, the Gaumont. You gotta go with your guy and he's proven that he can do it all all postseason. So all preseason. So this is job. Listen, I agree with you. You've gotten it and that's because you've already made that bet you let go of teddy Bridgewater Rodham in he showed well during preseason. Listen, most people think the jets have no chance to postseason. I'm not so sure if Sam can show what babies already showed that ownership group, what he's already showed them to get rid of Terry Bridgewater with the defensive pieces they have in that division. I I think think he's. he's invested in this guy and they show some best in whatever shampoo he's using because he's got. The only downfall is that he's not on the sideline with a clipboard, the helmets covering that amazing. We wanna see that orange Papa pompadour. Well, that's the exact reason. I liked this Josh mccown. He has the perfect coach and it's a nother player. It's a backup. Every time. This guy makes a mistake. Everything he has to know something. He can go right to Josh mccown and say, hey, what I do bad on that step, what do I have to do better? And he's gonna Lau knows about those mistakes near about this. One thing they say about about darnold. He's the type of player that doesn't make the same mistake twice and Hercules, you know how valuable it is. Professional athletes do learning is vital, but he will be the jungle quarterbacks in the nineteen fifties. To start a game. He's twenty years old right now. He'll be twenty. One plays older. He plays with a poise guys have seen that media's gonna do eat them alive. But then again, do they show excited because they've been so thirsty for a great quarterback that they will. The fans will give a little leeway. I don't feel the same pressure as Baker Mayfield. Baker has more of a brand the jets. I feel like even if he goes in, he plays Batty throws one touchdown to interceptions. You'll be seeing that highlight of that touchdown, pass it through and saying, hey, he's the future. Here's the big problem. Reincarnation of Mark Sanchez. That's. He was great until the butt fumble. Out to the biggest stars in the NFL have signed some huge contract extensions, a Ron Aaron Rodgers. We'll get richer, thirty, three million dollars a year with the contracting worth ninety. Eight million while Beckham as you know on the five year, the ninety five million with sixty five mil guaranteed drinks around either one of these guys Hercules, which player has the better value here, better valley hundred million times a Ron. No quarterback that is more talented. There's a position, all sports, more difficult. It is Aaron Rodgers now has some toys. Got devante atas got Jimmy Graham, you know who who owed l. Beckham junior has to rely on ally. Right. Look, I've been saying for your skies. No matter. What are you gonna say is probably thought you came up with. He's a A bad bad man. man. Ago, steven. Trevino. Look, you could you could win games without without Beckham junior. You can't win without Aaron Rodgers and the stella's Spillers fellow. Yeah. Old Bill Beckham junior is one of the most talented receivers we have ever seen play the game of football. He's speedy. He shifty, he's athlete. He's got amazing hands. And all that said he's crafty heard Rogers account by himself for eight wins alone far. If Odell could throw the football and go catching himself, I may say, okay, give Give your your shot shot at. at. But right now, I mean, come on, are we kidding cry? Just position alone. Good quarterback. Good wide receiver. I was trying to find the flip side of his argument and be like, how can I? How can I argue the band. There are few elite receivers you think of Odell Beckham junior, Julio Jones and Tonio Brown Brown doesn't much for give you guys. One case. I remember Jake delone was in Charlotte. Yeah, and he had Steve Smith in his prime. And if you playing fantasy football time, the loan would come out with three hundred yards receiving or excuse me a passing, but guess what? Two hundred of those yards..

"Now shut up to my boy amino Hassen. He calls them, Kobe stands is what he calls from the country. Steady. The language Kobe's Danny. Of course show capital. This is the problem we've seen this, the defending the murals or whatnot. Now, look, it's very small, vocal minority, but clearly there vocal enough that we've been seeing what they've been doing in hearing what they're doing. I always feel like this is going to be something that LeBron doesn't realize he's going to have to deal with. Yeah, I point this was something that may have caught him a little bit by surprise everywhere LeBron has gone. He's been celebrated the two times in Cleveland. I mean, we remember the pep rally in Miami here. He's being celebrated, but it's being met with some resistance because Kobe, Bryant fans feel like Kobe. Bryant is being disparaged if he's not in the conversation of greatest, he's given the keys to the city LeBron James, those were Kobe's keys right now, why isn't a Kobe fan a lake offen-. If you're a Kobe fan, a lake offender, and you should be excited for having the Ron James playing in your team, especially when the Lakers haven't horrible in the past one, five years pretty much. Now you have the chance. Veep relevant again. Now you have a shot at making the play. Finally for the for the first time in a long time, the brawn James is the guy that is going to bring the Lakers back where they belong. Really, but they might not win. But, hey, we gonna walk vacant world though. See the Lakers. Did you work in the reason resent years? I would like to speak on behalf of the five people of Kobe. STAN, who do not have a platform and say, genius. You don't tell people all the respect in the world for JD bus. You don't tell people how to raise their kids. You don't question anyone's faith. You don't question anyone's span them and if they have issues, let's remember, Kobe Bryant spent two decades with this team. He is the LA Lakers the Braun, James, I think what they're seeing is coming in and given everything already given all the equity and clout. You get for being an LA Laker without playing. We know what's the Braun, but look, Cleveland needed LeBron when he came back, they them LA Lakers. Those who need the Lakers the way they still have their history and they'll be successful LeBron Jane the wrong more than the bra needs the lake this around and look. And honestly, that's a great point. That's what has been hard for Kobe fans or Laker fans to come to grips. Right. Okay. The guys that have come to the Lakers have needed the Lakers more than the other way around. So here you have a situation with the broad has the leverage. And I'd also say that I think a lot of people are seeing this. It's not about the Lakers. It's about the bonds about LeBron becoming LA Braun, it's about the broad, advancing his Hollywood interests. If that's the case, we'll find out more about that. LeBron fans becoming Laker fan. Oh, that's right. LeBron mentioned, sir, producer LeBron fans, people aren't fans the Lakers, their fans of LeBron. So they. Fanta and you lose the name of the team. It's not the Lakers anymore. It's about the players, and I think we're losing that. And that's kinda sad a little bit. Fish care about the players. It's not about the laundry in the New Jersey at The back the back. together. How are you going to get a max Birtles mural in LA anytime soon? Probably not to face it because three. Galaxy fans are going to face that. And so. Echo corner of weight. Gobi hasn't doors LeBron. Yes, yes. So that's good. I was your dude once go. He said, hey, the Brown while I'm so happy that you hear you fans, you gotta do say he's called off the dogs basically. So listen to your leader. Okay. All right. Coming up next, get your bets ready for the AFC east. We got our prediction legally a little game over under after the break. ESPN is presented by they'll yoga. Let's go places..
