"It's not that he's done anything to hurt his personal stock. Other guys who just helped a little bit more and you start looking at the age and second guess if he can be a three indie guy and what else does he do? So I'm going to take over there. Yeah, I agree. Over plus one 50, that is like a very strong one for me. Zach, let's go a couple more. Dyson Daniels. Over under 7 and a half minus one 95 juiced. I think I'm going over. Just slightly, which is very slightly over. I haven't met 7 right now, so this is a pretty dead on number. If you're making me pick, I think I would go over. The thing that's interesting for me here is that the over under is juiced so strongly toward under here at minus one 95. Dyson Daniels over is plus one 60. I think I like over 7 and a half plus one 60 if you made me pick here. But it wouldn't be far over. I can not see him getting out at the top ten. Agree, I'll go over. This is another trade dependent one with Sacramento at four Detroit 5 Indiana 6 Portland 7. Even though it's 8, we've heard kind of floated offers whether real or not, but at least gauging the market, those could be completely different teams. And somebody could just be leak froggy to get him at 7 because I think New Orleans likes about 8 San Antonio 9 stay away had to I'm going slightly over though. All right, Zach, give us one or two more. Walker Kessler over under 24 and a half. There's been like one easy one so far, I think. This is difficult. Yeah, I think I've walker at 25 right now. So either I'm honored like we're getting here. That's great. Yeah, I think I would go over. To be honest, I think that this one's close though. I go over the same thing. I was looking at my draft board and it said the 25th, it went Milwaukee Kennedy channel or Dallas. Like, Kennedy Chandler, who's he drafting as a type on my end, but I would go over there too. Yeah. Zach, let's go. AJ Griffin. Over under ten and a half with the over juiced minus two 65. I would go over here even with the juice..

"Go to the world's preeminent Bradley Beal expert. Joe house. Talk about the wizards are going to do. The wizards are in one of the power seats as we head into the last 48 hours before the draft here. You have the tenth pick in the draft. You're always a trade up candidate. You have the Bradley Beal piece where if he decides he doesn't want to sign the extension now it becomes sign and trade central for him. What are we expecting from the Wiz? Bradley Beal is not gonna leave $64 million on the table. He is definitely gonna sign the extension. And the Wiz might nibble around the edges with that tenth pick and move up if Dyson Daniels is there or mathurin is there or move back if somebody wants to offer them to first for that ten spot, but we're looking at another wonderful 39 to 41 win team that is on the outside. On the playoff bubble where we can't wait to play Charlotte or I don't know who will be there this year. And just run it back. It's been a great 40 years, Bill Simmons. This is the wizard's mindset of trying to get a lottery pick, but not too high. Try to build enough that you could be have a frisky first round exit where you take somebody to 6. And then the next year you go backwards and you get the 9th pick again. It just rinse and repeat. Rinse. Lather rinse repeat, baby. I like where you're picking because I really like that. I said this to KSC earlier. I really like that like 8 to 13 range in this draft. I think you're going to get somebody good with that pick, even if it's like, I really like so hand.

"I'm going Ben Mather and number one. Wow. Okay, the draft has turned. All right. And I just think he has more upside than Keegan Murray, that's the reason. I think he's a little bit safer than Jeremy sohan and a little bit safer than Dyson Daniels. And I think that he has real substantial upside that is getting underrated. How much younger do you think Dyson Daniels is then Ben Mather in? Well, Ben Matthew returned what? I think do you turn 22 years, I'd say? Ben mathurin is like, if I remember correctly, I think it's like 7 months old. Oh, really? I thought he just turned 2020 versus 19, yeah, I think 20%. Right. But this is the thing. I think that we treat Ben matheran as if he is this older productive college player, much in the same way that we treat Keegan Murray. He's not that. He is a teenager that made the all American team this year. And he is an incredibly valuable player because of his ability to shoot. I think he has some second side creation upside. I don't buy him breaking down a defense in isolation, but I think if you get the defense twisting and turning, he's going to be able to attack closeouts, jump stop, get to his floater, jump stop, make kick out passes because he got a lot better at that throughout the season. Defensively, he has all of the tools that he needs to be an effective player to stay on the court. Needs to give a bit more, just needs to give a bit more second and third effort, really? Sure. But maybe that improves. He locks in when he needs to, I think. He was pretty good in the NCA tournament defensively. And he has all of the aggressiveness and energy that you're looking for from a guy like this. I'm going Ben Mather in. Number 5 overall. I see it, I get it. And there's more shooting. We talk about Detroit how they need that so badly and coming off pick and roll so that'll actually space the floor. And there's a lot of ways that they can slice it too. And it's a tough pick to nail down because we don't really know what their off season looks like yet either. We're kind of doing this also blindly. Is German grant back a play? Is Deandre ayton really play as a free agent? I think Bennett Mather and Keegan Mario should and sharper are like the true swings that work..

Like this is definitely a Boston. That's what it's good. If our food is listening, I'm here. I'll send in my dress. You can DM me send me some product. I'll keep pumping it out here. That's one of my favorites. Columbus, I've lived in Denver. I've looked at LA look it up. Anywhere. What come on, are you looking up? It's a real thing. It is. It's fantastic. I eat my son. He said, I honestly can't buy it because I eat it like too fast. And I'm like, oh, that was stupid. Yeah, what is my answer for this? Probably Reese's pieces for me. I'm a big Reese's pieces guy. I eat racist pieces while I watch movies, you know, while I just lay them out on the table here once again. Get it, your movie guy, you like ET. Oh, wow, I didn't even think about that connection. Until you just said that, I'm real dumb. Okay. Let's see here. I do like this question. Who would be the more valuable player if they added a high 30s three point shot to their game? Tarry Eason or Dyson Daniels. Well, what did dice nano shoot this year? 26% from three. Well, it's hard to use him. He was like 35. I always go with like the more versatile, bigger kind of front cordy guys that aren't really front quarter guys, so I'd say Tyra is in there. It's like pretty close as it is and you want the jump shot to come around, but Atari adds that with the transition stuff with some of the defense, I think I'll go with him. Dyson's not that close to high 30s. No, he's 26. It would sound like he was 19% at my point. I thought he was like a very good shooter from three though,.

"But does he swing for a Jeremy soland? Does he swing more for like the project a guy that could be better? The blazers are fun though. I actually really like that pick. It was either them or it was New Orleans for me just because I think New Orleans needs to keep finding more shooters. Even though they just drafted trade Murphy last year, if you're going to play Zion and you're going to have herb Jones playing a substantial role. And you still have Jonas valentinus under contract. You're going to need as many shooters as possible just around those guys with. And Mather and Fitz, like in a pretty substantial way there. I do really like that as well. Yeah. That's a good one. Okay. Let's move to Dyson Daniels. Dyson. Okay. There was also the pelicans. Oh, I like the pelicans. Because what is the one thing we say that Dyson needs? There's a few things that Dyson needs. What's the one you're thinking of? I was going to say shooting. Like, needs to be able to shoot. I know there's so much. If he shoots consistently, he's at the very least a starter and a high level impact player on a playoff team, right? Yeah. Like no, no questions, right? Well, I mean, listen to David Griffin on rhyme or sell his podcast, shout out. The thing that he said is that we feel confident that we can get guys to improve their shooting because we have Fred vinson, who's one of the best shooting coaches in the NBA. Dyson fits a lot of what they need and what they could use. I mean, the ball is going to be in Brandon Ingram's hands a lot. It's going to be in Zion Williamson's hands a lot..

"So we're considering a few different factors here when we discuss the idea of fit. Matt, how did you go about this idea? Did you put this much thought into it as I did? I did. I put a lot of fun into it. Our past are a little different. I did take those factors into consideration. I didn't make the range too crazy, but as soon as you said, jabbar smith's range, I'm like, oh, this is one or two. I was a little bit further out, not too wild, but for the most part I think we're aligned with our way of thinking here. Yeah, and like someone like Dyson Daniels, where the range gets a little bit wider. Like for me, the range was something like 6 to 12, right? Yeah. So like I even tried to expand it a little bit more. Like I'd be a little bit surprised Dyson went 6. I'd be a little bit surprised if you fell to 12, but I wanted to be a little bit more inclusive of the whole thing as we were going through and doing this. So penny, I mean, do you have anything else you want to say here? I have one more thing I want to say. I did have some duplicates because I do think there's a few teams you can spin it. It's like the same answer. I would like to do this for the whatever ten, 12 guys. At the end, I have a running tally here. For the teams that we didn't select, I think we should go back and say, hey, we missed Washington. Who's the guy actually for Washington? Just so it's all represented. We don't have people yelling at us like, why do you have four people in the rockets? That is not how math works. There's a lottery. You have one pick, so don't yell, I promise we'll get there. Yeah. Okay. Let's start with jabari Smith. Who is currently the favorite via sports books? I mean, drastically the favorite. And I think he's going off at -200 to be the number one overall pick. I'll be honest, I don't see a lot of value at him. It -200 to go number one. But I'll have a mock draft next week and I'll explain Intel on that front. The goal with this is not to release Intel. The goal is to talk about his fit. So jabari Smith, who is the best fit among his reasonable.

"As from Alex young, 39. After being a creamy peanut butter snob, my whole life, I now think crunchy peanut butter has an actual case for being better. Not to get too political, but where do you stand on this? Oh, this is political. It's a non political show. I have always been a creamy guy. I switched over in middle school. I feel like maybe for 6 months and to chunky, but I'm a puma and jelly purist and I would stay creamy. Chunky just weird. This is the consistency isn't always like authentic and you don't know the bite what you're getting. I want to know what I'm actually eating. Peanuts. So Laura is a crunchy person. And I am a creamy person. So we always have two separate types of peanut butter in the house. I have tried like when we just weren't eating as much peanut butter. I have tried to go down the road of crunchy. I probably went a year where I ate crunchy peanut butter. Yeah, 'cause I just like would have it occasionally and that was it. When I went back to smooth again, I was just like, oh, this is a no brainer. This is drastically product, I think. So yeah. But you're not one of these people that is like, I like creamy peanut butter but I prefer Nutella. That seems to be like a little bit of like a weird way of too. From 20, tarry Eason is an anagram for AI treason. Does this information change his draft stock at all? Significantly. This is the small we're talking about. Some NBA team put that out there. They really like tauri, they want you to incorporate trees with him. That's why they have him stashed for the 19th. Oh my God, that is incredible stuff. I really like that one. There was one that I'm trying to get to. It was from someone, I'm sorry, I can't find it, but I saw it earlier when we were kind of going through. It was, who do you like better as a prospect, Josh giddy or Dyson Daniels? Because now we're starting to get like the Dyson Daniels like top 6 or 7, I think John said top 5 buzz at one point someone said 5, yeah. But I think one of the things I have gotten like I've gotten real top ten buzz the whole year. So that's not like new for this show. Wouldn't be crazy, I guess, if Detroit took him at 5, but yeah, Josh or Dyson, which one do you like better? I wouldn't like Dex and handles with cade. I don't think that fits what they need for him next one, really. Another shooter and shooting isn't necessarily what effective nails does. It got better as the year wore on. Giddy is probably a better passer, a little bit better off the dribble, defensively, dice and Daniels is better, put them together, make a super Australian prospect. That's probably the answer. I don't think we have the science to do that right now. I would say giddy, I don't think there's a huge margin there though. I think I would take Josh because I think that the way he processes the game..

"But just switch. If you're worried about AJ Griffin's feet and who he's able to cover out there, I don't want him to be hunted. You can't haunt Jeremy sohan. You can't. Like you can't really haunt Dyson Daniels. I want to be the hunter, not the hunted. Like, I want to be the one pressing. Like, great. If you hit it to the wing and you say, sohan can't shoot and give a ton of space. Who cares? We'll do a dribble handoff of space back out. I can reverse the ball. You can't really reverse on defense. Like you can switch, but that millisecond that you do, something happened where the floor gets slanted for the other team. You don't want that in the playoffs. I think I agree with you. I think it's part of the reason that Miami has been so successful is that they've been willing to dive into these imperfect players and make them work. Finding all offense, Tyler hero, and making him work Duncan Robinson. And they've gotten pretty far doing that now. In the Conference Finals and max struss is playing up until the last couple of games, at least over Duncan Robinson. Because he's a two way guy, and I think that you can figure out a way to kind of make that work. But I think that it's easier to teach shooting than it is to teach the tools that are necessary to defend on an MBA court. Duncan Robinson, I love the guy and I have an immense amount of respect for what he's built and the money that he's going to make. And his NBA career is phenomenal. I don't think you can teach that. I defend. I don't think he has the frame for it. I don't think he is the quickness for it. You can hopefully kind of teach PJ Tucker to shoot though, right? To take two guys on the heat. So that's kind of where I'm at on it. Okay, post combine narratives, you mentioned Jalen Williams. Feels like a good place to start. Jalen Williams, how high is too high for Jalen Williams? Because it feels like that is now a thing. Lottery, right? Is that probably the highest that I'd say? Like where I have him right now is on my very involved big board here is I haven't 18th. And even that feels like high, but you take the shot at him there based on everyone else that's available as we kind of like a low key crush the top of the draft, but when you start creeping into like ten, 9, could he go that's just seems too much. He had a really good year, I love the offensive versatility as he's like a bigger, stronger wing with long arms, but could shoot, has a handle, really good vision. I don't know if that's really a lot of pick..

"This is not a predicament. We're good. This still got to the top ten on the board. This is a team that loves taking these athletic big wings. Then we're out tomorrow. Corey kispert is more of an athlete than what I think people think. He is very clearly mostly a shooter. And he had a great close of the year. I think people didn't really recognize that enough. They just traded for Christophe zingis. I have no idea what the direction of this organization is. I agree, and you have all the money locked up with porzingis and Brad Beal. And Bradley Beal. And he drafted kiss for who's more of a finished product. He was older, right? And did have a good end to the year took a while to get going, but that's kind of what he is, right? He can be a little bit better. So you have a good decision of more proven guy, absolute project, absolute home run swing. So I'm very intrigued on this next selection from you. I don't know if Rui and Denny abdia are good enough to stop me from taking Jeremy sohan. But I feel like the level to which wizards fans would potentially revolt if Tommy shepherd took another athletic project non shooting space. Which is non shooting big. It would be nuts. Well, the answer is a point guard. There's not a park on this range, right? I have one. It's a sort of point guard. Yeah. I like this pick. If this is what we're doing, you've danced around ten prospects. So I've narrowed it down to about three. I'm going to take Dyson Daniels. Don't hate that. And Dyson Daniels is a big guard who is elite defensively. I think he fits really, really well with Bradley Beal. He is very switchable one through three at the very least as he puts on strength. I think it will be one through four defensively that he'll be able to switch. He's a very high level passer. The thing that for Americans that maybe have not seen Dyson Daniels a ton in his development and for people that didn't want the gigli ignite this year. The thing that he reminds me of most is kind of a Villanova style like guard. He plays off of two feet at a really high level. He makes the right read as a passer. He processes the game exceptionally well. And he's really tough defensively. I love the idea of pairing a guy like that with Bradley Beal. If your eventual goal is essentially to continue down the road of building around Bradley Beal. I think that Dyson Daniels is the exact kind of guy that you need to put next to Bradley Beal to make it work and make it make sense..

"I do. He can also take it off the rim and push it up and transition to. He doesn't have to get rid of it. So he can create something when the games like spaced out. Yeah. Okay. Actually, weirdly a lot of Jeremy sohan questions today too. I am a big fan though. I think the rest of his game scales very quickly if he shoots it. And because of that, like if he shoots it, he's definitely an NBA starter. Like no questions asked. So I would take him in the lottery. And I think he's a really good starter. If he ends up being able to shoot it at like a 36% clip. Okay, if max Christie stays in the draft, is there a chance someone takes a reach on the potential and what's the highest that would happen? That is from NATO Jacobs. Yes, but it would be like it would be, was the question in the first round or how high? I think that let's ballpark it at first round. Yeah, that's fine. If I were just without knowing definitively, I'd say probably the 26 to 30 range. He needs time. He eats another guy that needs reps. I'd like for him to go back to school. If he doesn't have a first round promise, that's what I would encourage him to do. Yeah. Agree. I don't really have anything else to say about that. I think there's chance he goes in the first. I think there's a chance I end up with him as a top 30 guy, depending on what other guys do. And if they stay in the draft, don't go in the draft. I really buy it as soon as the shooting comes along. And I do think he is going to shoot it at some point. The shot looks great. There's no concern there, really. From draft deeper, our friend Nathan. Is it realistic that we may look back and see Kevin mcculler is one of the top 30 players in this class, really feel like it could happen. Traffic deeper loves them, some chemical color. I actually really like them a color too. I thought it was weird that like, hey, I'm on. It's a draft, but if not, maybe you Gonzaga, maybe Kansas. So this has been like another weird transfer portal, and I story. I do think he can do more offensively than he showed at Texas tech, and that was sort of like scheme based. I have to see more of it. Top 30. Yeah, possible, but I think I have him like 60th right now, so there'd have to be some jumps for him to make. Yeah, I mean, look, if he learns, the answer is, could we look back on him and he could be a top 30 guy? Yes, if he learns to shoot, he could be that. Like if he becomes a 38% three point shooter in the NBA, he probably is a top 30 guy in the class because the defense is as good as it is. Like just straight up. One of the 5 best perimeter defenders in this class. I think I'd probably take Dyson Daniels over him. I don't know if anyone else immediately springs to mind. No..

"Know what? It's just different. Like I really like J lo Williams from Santa Clara, the more that I watch him. I think that kids probably going to be a first round pick. Or at least I will have this on. Yeah, I will have him as a first round grade. Having really dug into the tape and like really diving. I got us to do so. I think he's really good. And I think he's probably being a little bit undervalued right now. But it's not herb Jones like. It's that he's creative with ball and can shoot a little bit in his powerful and has some athleticism. It's more that all of the factors that he brings confluence together or why I really like him as a prospect and kind of like a sleeper, but it's different than her, I would say. Oh, very different. And the Jalen Williams Ascension is kinda just strange to me because I know that they don't have always the most marked games, but they're playing Gonzaga. They played saint Mary's, played San Francisco. You'd think that like this buzz would have built a little bit sooner than it did, but a lot of people going back, watching the film have said some more things. Yeah. Let's see here. Top three, who are your top three non lotto picks who could step in and contribute right away like crystal water did last year. What's lottery pick? Who's the oldest guy who come in and play? That's hard. Yeah. Well, it's also like we've said, I don't want to say weaker because it's always guys. Outside of really 1314 though I'm like my at least person board is all like investments. It's all, hey, here's Blake west. I agree. So you're going to contribute? No, I don't think so. Doctor Paul didn't junior Brice McGowan's Peyton Watson and Josh Mina, maybe turkey on Smith. Those guys are not ready. They're not. And then in the middle there, Dyson Daniels, I think it's going to take time. Atari Easton, like I actually think it's going to take more time than people are saying right now. Marshawn Bosch. Yeah, and I'd say maybe Marshawn if you get something like the right situation, he's not really asked to do anything offensively or defensively, and they can just like leave his fingerprints here and there is a three four man, like maybe that's the one, but I'm not saying, yeah, he's an average 12 points per game and the first month of season where I say we all missed. I don't see that..

"It's a very tough question this class. I just saw him and didn't blow me away with Jordan hall is the first name I think of from saint Joe's. He doesn't have really that quickness that extra stuff, but he's smart and heady enough where he's got a million spins of face punch punches seals, whatever. He gets to where he needs to. He hasn't necessarily produced lately how I thought he would consistently throughout the year. But he's the first name as I scrolled my big board to find anybody there that pops, he could be a better pro two where he sticks and is part of a rotation, just the way he moves the ball sees the game. He can play off a ball screen. It's going to be better when he doesn't have to be the number one guy and part of the reason he struggled at saint Joe's some this year and they've struggled. I don't think he's the number one guy. He's a third or fourth on the court. And that's when he'll be really at the best of his ability. Yeah, three guys stood out to me one of them was Jordan hall. I'm really glad that you said Jordan hall. The second guy is Harrison Ingram. Like really well. Really, really smart player passes really well. He's gonna need the shot, but we could have said that about all three of these guys. I worry more about the touch with him than I did with Halliburton and lamelo. I do think like similar stuff there with giddy totally different role. Like he's not a point guard. He's more of like a point forward. Who makes quicker decisions. But I think Harrison Ingram's probably a pretty good guy here. Jordan hall is another one and then the third one was Dyson Daniels. Just really, really smart player, really intuitive processes the game exceptionally well. Not the craziest athlete in the world, doesn't have the crazy bag of skills, but really a high level defender really smart going to need the jumper though to come through at the end of the day. Okay. Question number two here. What's happening with Patrick Baldwin junior and the Milwaukee team? They seem to underperform in the horizon and his name barely gets mentioned at all any more is the fact that he went to a smaller school in error in retrospect. This comes from Benedict. Probably an error. He went to play for his dad. I don't think there's probably about it. Well, hold on, though. If you're going to go play for your dad, I totally understand it. Fastball wise. Yeah, it's an error. You should probably at duke as a third option and we're talking about him as a top ten guy..

"I mean, Dyson Daniels just completely and utterly shut him out of the game in such an impressive way. He's been awesome. Throughout the course of the G league season defensively, I think I'm a little bit higher on Dyson Daniels than where the general consensus is overall right now. I love his passing ability. I think he's more of a secondary ball handler and if he's gonna be that, the shooting is gonna have to work itself out. I think that the key for him is just playing with better bend and that includes as a ball handler as well as as a shooter as well. He just doesn't get any bend and it just looks so stiff and mechanical coming out of his hands. I think that once he gets with a great shooting coach, they can kind of fix some of these issues. I don't see anything wrong with the touch with Dyson Daniels. It's more just mechanical in terms of what he has to figure out. Nothing's broken there. So I see Dyson Daniels is like a good 5th man 6th man and you know at the end of the day and this draft class to me, that's like end of the lottery at the very least top 20 level. So Dyson Daniels, I'm a big fan, frankly, I think outside of scoot Henderson. He's been the league ignite prospect that I've been most impressed with throughout the course of this season. So, yeah, I really like what I've seen in a large part of that is the defensive side of the floor. Okay. This next question here is about the pistons. It is from demon 21. This question is realistically just kind of representative of a lot of different questions. I got about the pistons. It felt like pistons fans are really engaged in the draft process right now already for obvious reasons. There's a lot of excitement around the pistons right now, but the team is not very good and I don't think it's been very well built. So there's going to be a real enthusiasm I think to get better pieces that fit around cade Cunningham and this question kind of gets it that idea. So can you share some thoughts on what you would do slash like to see the pistons do with their locked in top 5 pick and over the course of the next year? Would you like to see Jeremy grant traded second year guys progress or lack thereof? Jabari, the best option with kade and their other non elite shooters and athletes. So essentially what demon 21 is asking here, what I trade Jeremy grant, would I take jabari Smith at number one? Who would be my number one prospect right now for the Detroit Pistons? And would in general what I do? I think the number one thing the pistons have to do over the course of the next year is fine shooting. This offense is so messy. Anytime that you watch them, there's no space for Kate Cunningham. No space for the guards to operate at all. It's a bunch of athletic dudes out there. There's some tough defenders out there on the court, Jeremy grant. I think just still doesn't quite get the respect as a shooter as what his percentage is would indicate that he should..

"To that 2020 NBA draft class with LaMelo Ball with Anthony Edwards with all of those guys, I think that I would feel like LaMelo Ball is a level ahead of where I had where I have all of Paulo jabari Smith, Chet holmgren, but I would say that I would have palo ban Caro and jabari Smith and chat homegirl certainly ahead of where I had James wiseman and Anthony Edwards at number two and number three. So I hope that that kind of gives a gauge of where we're at in this 2022 draft class by comparing them to the 2021 and 2020 classes. Okay. Let's go to this next one here. The best guard defender in the 2022 class is essentially the topic here. And Alex, who's handle is draft film school, asks the question is Dyson Daniels, the best guard defender in this class. Look, among players that I think are likely to be selected, I think Dyson Daniels is really up there. If I was kind of crafting like a top group, he would definitely be in it. Let's say that kadari Richmond is probably out of this conversation because he has not been nearly good enough at this point to where he looks like he'll be a 2022 prospect. I think he's shaping up more as a 2023 prospect if he ever figures out the offensive side. I probably would have could already Richmond a level ahead of Tyson Daniels if we're being honest, but his offense is just nowhere near good enough at this stage to really be able to enter the 2022 draft class. In terms of best guard defenders, I would say that Johnny Davis also stands out. I thought he's had a really, really strong defensive season for Wisconsin as well. And we'll talk about him in a second here with a follow-up question that's going to be coming. But I really like Johnny Davis, but the thing about Dyson Daniels is that I think that his size and his length and his toughness and his overall quickness, whereas Johnny Davis is more of a strong defender. Dyson Daniels is a bit quicker and I think even slightly more tenacious on that end. I think he's going to be able to handle lead guards in a way that Johnny Davis may not be able to or players like Johnny Davis may not be able to. I'm trying to think of other guys that even really fit into this conversation here. It's kind of hard to even find some in this class. I don't think this is the best class when it comes to high level guard defenders. There's no davion Mitchell in this class in my view. I don't even think that anyone really hits the high level defensive upside on the perimeter of Jalen suggs who ranked it number two on my board last year in large part due to his potential defensive acumen. So yeah, I think that the question here from Alex over at draft film school is apt. I think that I probably would have Dyson Daniels as of right now as the top guard defender. I love the way that he slides his feet. I think he switchable one through three. I think that he's really disruptive with his length at the point of attack. The way that he handled, for instance, the thing that stands out to me is often our first impression, right? And the first game that I watched Tyson Daniels play with the G league ignite this year was against south bay, they played against Mac mcclung and some of those guys. And look, Mac mcclung is not an NBA level player in my opinion..

"Like I had them at, I think 8 in the preseason and I would probably have them around ten ish right now. But that's purely what's helping him right now, I think, is that not many players have truly emerged? Totally. As super high level players, so he's getting a chance to work through some of these issues without necessarily falling and catastrophically hindering himself. So I need to see more from Jaden hardy, Dyson Daniels next. Dyson, well, it's interesting. I actually like what I've seen from Dyson in regard to everything, but like scoring. He makes an impact defensively at a really high level. Like he's really, really good defensively already. Gets his hands into passing lanes. Really disruptive on the ball. 6 foot 6, and can guard one through three very easily. I think long-term, probably he's able to guard one through four. Once he gets stronger, like pretty good passer, sees the floor well. They have him playing point guard. I don't really see that as his long-term position, necessarily. But he does have real passing instincts and does have the ability to handle the ball. I think his jump shot mechanics have improved a little bit. The skills that Dyson Daniels needs in order to be a good role rotation player in the NBA. He showcase all of those in the G league. And I think that in some respects, that's positive. Obviously, you'd like to see him do more. But it has not been, I think you've not been as bad as what the box score numbers would indicate, despite the fact that he hasn't been all that productive yet. I don't think it's a point guard. That's the first thing. He's paying out of position a lot of times, and maybe that changes down the emergence of scoot and just say, hey, do that run the way in hardy another one, let's just play ball..

"Not necessarily to me who had him at 27 to start the season, but I think that people would consider him underwhelming. And then the potential for guys like tyrese hunter, Tara and Armstrong, X, Y, and Z right. Yeah. Too deep at this point. Yeah. So. I think the answer is probably fat. Thinking back on this. Just for it is here and now too, because 2019 all right, it's John morant. Kobe white. If you're not a huge Kobe white fan, you're not a believer in derisk Garland. Maybe. It's not even close, I don't think. It's so far ahead of these guys. Like Darius Garland and Jade and I here, like pretty close, I think. In terms of prospects. And then you throw fucking job around on there. There's no chance. I mean, do we think Jade and IV and D'angelo Russell are like pretty close, like I D'angelo Russell at I think four or 5 that year and he went number two. Yeah, it's hard because again I'm not trying to change the past, but I think those more of his game has changed some since the NBA. I think the new stuff is different. Slowed him down quite a bit. And then like you still have moody a and then like the big group below. So it's basically like moody versus all of these other guys. And like all of these, too, because he was potentially going to be a thing. Like people were surprised he slid down to where he was. Yeah, I really, really liked him. I missed I missed on him. I would say fact to this question, but it's a really good question. And I think it's close. The problem is that I'm just I think that there are some people who would answer fiction to this question. Because I think that there was more steam behind moody a than there is behind high tie right now. Maybe if we include Dyson Daniels, it might be fiction, I don't know, like I don't know if Dyson's gonna play point at the NBA level. I think he's probably more of like a two. Yeah, this is like the most like equivocating like hemming and hawing answer in the history of game theory podcast more. Yeah, it'll be it'll be a lot of editing and I'm sure circling back when people saw you forgot this guy that guy, but it would be good brain candy for you to dive into the notebook and see where we went wrong. This is definitely a podcast that I edit substantially too. Let me tell you. You know what this is, and this is cross sound funny. I'm gonna go to bed and wake up at 6 a.m., my son's screaming for me to go pick him up, and I'm gonna look at my phone and I'll say text from Santa Fe and he'll be like, this is gonna be something..

"It wasn't entire Campbell had had a game or two here or there, but those guys, they're going kind of to the strengths of high wings. We're gonna score. And not offensively, Cody Riley also had a few good games there too. But I wasn't being like, while the swing is going to be Cody rally. It's going to be now is Johnny drezen got to have 27 points this game and keep minute and keep it close down to the wire. Yeah. All right, we don't want to go for hours upon hours on the show. I have hawkers and juzang is like potential first round picks. Let's talk about Dyson Daniels now. Interesting prospect out of Australia decided not to do the NBL next stars route and instead come to do the G league ignite program, which was an interesting choice. I thought, I actually quite like dice and Daniels for similar reasons to why I like Payton Watson. I think they're actually pretty comparable prospects just patents a little bit bigger. Daniels is a really good on ball defender. He's a really attentive off ball defender from what I've seen. He makes plays, he's disruptive with his hands at a very high level. He's also a really good passer. Like he was the guy that was often initiating for the Australian team this summer at the U 19s. And really showcase a lot of high level distribution ability for a player that will be asked to play more of a secondary role. The big question is the jumper. I think the mechanics look good. He just doesn't quite get enough lower half involvement in the shot. But I think he's going to be pretty good. I think he is going to be a first round pick. Pretty good. And I watched a lot of that film to 14.5 and 5 for Australia during the tournament. Runs the court, stays really wide, that popped to me changes ends really quickly. He cuts, he moves, he dies away from the ball. He's the sticky scorer that we want then Mather to be hiding behind his man or the backside of the zone, then popping up for an easy shot. Thought the formula jumper is pretty compact as like a set shot when the ball was swung to him. There is a slight dip and some crank to it can be a zone buster when the defense doesn't close out. It has time to get that crank going. I like to finish with either hand around the rim. He had good bounce and body control, good length, handle, a little shaky too. I saw a couple turnovers a couple turns his back, deflections. It just didn't pop initially and seemed to be more of a complimentary piece to me. Steady player, two to one assisted turn ratio and not necessarily gonna hurt you out there. I know these aren't like the most like energetic type of compliments or attributes, but he just didn't have the I heard the buzz and I watched and I think my eyes were excited for these big time plays and just not necessarily always going to come with Dyson Daniels. Yeah, no. I agree for sure. Like, definitely more of like a workman's game, almost like the way that he just like generates offense off the ball and the way he defends and can make some passes. He tries to get to like his step back for three..
