"Really intriguing. Long term. He's 6 Ft. 8 £230.7 foot wingspan. I think team see a little bit of O g and an O B, maybe a Jalen Braunwald. Term in terms of what the upside could look like. But, yeah, I was surprised that he went that high over some other name. Yeah, I'll take those two, especially Jaylen Brown. So I interviewed Jalen Brown, the hotel Intercontinental. I talked to about 30 of those draft picks that year for MBA radio. John Brown told me goes, you know some scouts or some G M's and really want to talk to me because when I went in there, I was dressed in a suit and I had a briefcase and they didn't wasn't sure if I was serious about basketball. Reminded me of the Doug Glanville story of how baseball teams passed on him because he was smart, correct. When he goes to Penn, he's really into his education. I don't know if he really loves playing. That's the whole thing like in with Dylan Brown. It was the same thing you see, He's become a nice player. He'll be a nice, solid role player for years and hopefully if that's who this young man is, that's great. 3123323776. I am more than a little excited for the Bulls future because I believe in a K and Evers Lee They just hired like a player Development Department. We had one guy. Before you went from mom and pop a year ago, too, right? Yeah, and a top shelf head coach. You didn't get like this first run kid. Some assistant right, You get a veteran veteran who's won two national titles and with changing rosters still got it done in Oklahoma City. As President Reagan's once said, It's morning again. In America, Mommy read. 3123323776 are all body Jordan Cornett covers the A CC is a college hoops expert played Already played at Notre Dame, but we won't hold that against him. "We're bam is just going to switch on to him and make his life miserable. Yeah, I mean that's the thing like his his growth as a playmaker has been really good and and and is going it has to continue to get better and improve because again at times he gets tunnel vision and get stuck into you know, I need to go get my own but his ability to draw in guys on the the drives and being able to to make the right read out of it is what's going to take Tatum really to the next level as a superstar. Yeah, I mean, think it already has he is he's just been so unbelievable in the playoffs. I mean guys averaging twenty five points and rebounds five assists and about a block and a steal per game while shooting forty five thirty nine hundred eighty from the field. I mean this guy's 22. This should not be happening like it's not normal, you know, but he's in what his fourth year in the league now, I think this is I mean, the third this is the growth you kind of, you know, it's happening quickly, but it's impressive and it's it's a good thing and this is stuff we've we've kind of got excited about his rookie year, right? We're we're like this dude's going to be as a chance to be a star and although I took a little bit of regression the second year for a million different reasons. You know, it's it's great to see him kind of Step Up Now in this role and and you know, here's the other thing too. And this is something Celtics fan should be excited about I only see good things for Dylan Brown and Jayson Tatum for years to come, you know for the Celtics, you know, as long they handle all the other pieces around them properly. I think this team is going to be something for the next. Yeah, five to six seven years with these guys if knock on wood, everybody stays healthy and things like that this is the kind of you know, tight-knit group between those two. I think that you're going to begin to see some truly amazing things over the ears with the squad. I mean got the two toughest things figured out like the two toughest pieces to get in the NBA right now our two-way Wings who can create their own shop. They've got two of them that are twenty-three years old or younger like that's that's the Ballgame you can figure out especially with all the assets. They have they three first-round picks coming up this year. Like they can figure out the rest of it. I think around those two dead. And if they don't it will honestly be just like a tremendous failure of this front office at these two don't if they don't win a title with these two, but I kind of think that at some point to happen. I don't know if it's going to happen this year, but they are they've got the toughest part figured out long-term I think in Boston Yeah, though they're they're well during a good spot right now. I think it's just a matter of continuing to grow and basically don't screw it up. All right Mo Money. I'm going to get you out of here, man. Tell the people where they can find your work..

"In on the conversation. Follow us on Twitter. Tell you gr 5 50. If you look at where the Celtics were three out of the last four, they've been in a championship, The Eastern Conference finals. So they've been getting better and better. We've been waiting for him to get over the hump there down to old to Miami. My whole point is we were waiting for Philadelphia. Not not And be laziness, not Sim is not being able to shoot. Don't Don't look at that. I'm just talking about what we had is forest expectations for them over the last several years in disappointment after disappointment after disappointment. Is this getting readyto happen? To the Celtics. Disappointment after disappointment of disappointment when it's going to get stronger. When Katie and Kyrie comes the Brooklyn there's a guy that you know one of top three players that is going to land. On the courts in Brooklyn next season. Miami is going to get better. Milwaukee could get better, depending on what happens with Johannes. And so when you start to look at that, could the window be closed on them in this situation? A couple years from now, a solemn Zeon No. All I'm saying is I know we live in the vortex of we need to win yesterday. And if you can't win yesterday, then it's time to blow it all up or blow up. I didn't say it blew up. All I'm saying is that they just had Kimba for his first year in the midst of a pandemic, its 2020 there down to Oh, but they've all been single possession games. And they've been to the conference finals. Three out of four years like that is that's incredible. And you have two stars in Jason Tatum in jail in Brown that are still trying to figure it out. What, Like Katie and Kyrie coming year. We'll see how Katie operates off that Achilles Achilles injury. That's a big time injury. I haven't seen a lot of players come back and be exactly the way they were other than maybe Dominic broken, That's realistically it. Other teams are coming, but that's that's I mean, it's a Golden state's coming back next year, too. So I think you keep this core together and look, man, I don't believe that to old down. It's like this thing that the series is over. They could easily win two games against mine. He they could have won the past two games. It would have been a completely different scenario. That's all. I'm saying. No, and that's true. But we also said here on Keyshawn Jay will his show along with Zuman and said that the Nuggets was cooked at 31 for the Clippers, right We said here said that and then look what happened. That's all I'm saying, is. Will you look at the Sixers situation? High? Praise the process. They got it, right. Everything's gonna be okay. It didn't work out the coach wind up getting fired. I'm not insinuating that that's going to happen in Boston. The only thing that I'm saying is the conference is on ly going to get better so that window could be closing with everything they're surrounding the conference is all I'm saying. I don't see the window closing. I think the window's still pretty open for Jason Tatum and Dylan Brown. But I will say this key to add to your point. Hey, Brad Stevens has gone out coach the past two games. The house. I know. I don't know why you wait into the fourth quarter to put Grant Williams and his five it seemed like he was the only person that knew what the hell he was doing, getting the ball in the middle of his own. They're explosives, which, like a 32 zone and mounds and are here watching the game last night, watching the Bengals game as well, at the same time thinking to myself, man like I I don't understand how you can't figure out his own offense. Me ke your Hooper to we've been we've been playing against don't often Since we've been in first grade, you get the ball in the middle of the zone. You turn your face, You make a play. It felt like Boston all the film, which it is isil ball I could do about myself. And I don't understand that. I don't understand how one day the best minds in the game of basketball could not figure out a 32 zone with the highly power skills are principally of the Boston Celtics, don't you? I think when you go back to the first half of the game as you watched it in in, obviously on N B, a countdown and in doing what you do as an analyst The first half of the game. Kimble Walker had a decent game because it was less zone and more man, and I think they were still stuck in that in the second half when Spoelstra made their switch, they were still kind of stuck so therefore to speak to Brad Stevens. He never made that adjustment. Second half adjustment supposed to count a second half adjustment zone. He never counted and he just let him continue to play Isil ball. But the problem gnocchi really score more points in the paint in the first half than they did you know any other half? Throughout the course of the postseason. It's ridiculous. More points combined. They did in the first game points in the paint in a hat and a half. So yeah, you played in it. Scanner. Yeah, he's got a lot of points in the paper is, Isn't that what coaching is all about adjusting on the fly changing up your scheme?.

"I feel you on that and I mean I just think. It has to be handled with with kid gloves on at this moment because. Technology can help but it can also hurt a lot. You know what I mean I know I was just talking about how technology is a beautiful tool if we realize it for that but at the same time. especially with like. The progression of AI and the progression of Things like neuro link. They'll become a point in history where like in the future where? You'll have people that fuck with the neuro link augmented humans Cyborg ask, and then you'll have people that deny it one hundred percent, and then that will create a divide. And it's just interesting. It's really interesting thing about like none of the Shit's happened yet obviously sauce balling. I really think we need to as a humanity as a collective, a human collective. 'cause we all fucking together, Bro like we're all on the same rock floating through space. We need to really think about because technologies beautiful thing and we can. Divert and go which and use it for whatever we want to use it for. We really need to have a conversation about that like what do we want to go? Where do we want to go next season? I can also cantor that and say that that's part of the human way of learning. Okay. Because think about it ended nineteen four a thirties late thirties. When started the Manhattan project, you know the nuclear program was made for the intentions of ending the war, the skill as much people as you possibly can. Right and we did it and changed the world forever. But the silver lining behind that was is that because of that nuclear program, we now have the technology that we're using today for our lives with nuclear program. We're not going to space in the sixties Yup we're not creating microwaves we're creating computers we're not creating cellphones recreating the Internet. So you know what I mean. I think that that's part of the life that we have to go through that hugh is human beings we have to go through the trial and error stage always true to understand where we're GONNA go as their next the next step below throw this. Little curveball. A little. curveball combing? That's all another topic. That's another episode three with Dylan Brown but anyway. Now Dude thing about this. Going back to what I was talking about. And if you haven't looked it up already Nikola Tesla, look into him very important This stupid plugging lightbulbs into the ground and they were lighting up. You know so. "Larry Double figures with both of them were on. subpar shooting nights and they combined three of nineteen from three. And you do that that will lead to a loss as you'll have somebody else going off. Nice it outs I mean. The Celtics had. Six figures as both five but they one guy, their main don't because at thirty four as opposed to twenty. So again, a little bit of a difference obviously, we're able to get Michigan than even doesn't have. The meet, and that's the thing is that it gives you more or study where you where you don't have to give it to the one guy. Even if again as we'll talk about the boxer with the thunder, the next segment they we ever do that to some success but I said the raptors don't have the Guy Right now at the end of the in the plus you need a guy late in the fourth quarter or just in crunch time we even in situation where you're struggling and used the TOBAC- nearly yet you can give the ball to and have faith that he'll either get a good shot from South Geiger Shafir teammate or get the free throw line in knockdowns free throws. The Rafters? Don't necessarily have the lawn hit free throws. Have that guy you know are. Lau, going to Bucket Siachen greeted us a bucket bamboo. You'll get a buck that's not. Their Games they can do but that's not the game they I saw an and get a bucket. Nicer. TATUM can do that. Kemba can do that Dylan browns who would agree. Do Kemba in Tatum of the two main gas. and. I said that's going to make a difference in this year's Al. Franken has made different so far in this year. So we'll see what happens on Thursday. With that game, but I'm not going to the raptors out yet. But they just might just might be a bad matchup for them. But again, the raptors were down to our last year against the bus as rattled off four straight wins so. Crazy. Things have happened. But we shall see what they were able to do. Once Thursday comes. After his break run come back here and discussed the games that happened on Monday and again just further proves my point that lay in games are in the fourth quarter you guys could hit shots. Whether easy or difficult in the two teams have won those Monday. Pablo's guys wouldn't hit their shock teams lost had Gaza little bit either they didn't perform on the moment regular freight moments. We'll talk about all that after the break start there. Hey. "What's going on everybody welcome back to exciting episode of talks with a in-studio today, we have Dylan Brown the great and talented musician some you may know him from Vanilla coast others may know him as Dylan. Brown with a three instead of a be today we pretty much talk about everything nothing is off topic. So let's get started. Dylan. Always great to have you here. You know here in Studio just to give everyone a heads up bear with us. If you hear some noise, it's a little rough unfortunately because of the stupid stormy say yes I. Guess That's how you pronounce it. I don't know we'd has to be given. I'm doing everything on my phone going old school so I did not want to leave the fans that an episode. I had to commit. I'm doing this for you just bear with me I. Promise you stay till the end. You'll love this episode but Dylan, good to have you here. Buddy Mr. Don Chapa himself. Thank you very much for having me. Yeah man it's been a while since you've. In back in the New York side I know. For All you know Brown as a musician, very talented, you can find stuff on spotify under Dylan Brown with the be instead of a three. He used to be in a band called Vanilla coast, which they did a lot of stuff out in the west coast of the United States. I know toward forbid played at the famous whisky a go go actually went out there and perform great stuff. I mean I kind of Labor that's the story we can talk about later. But Yeah Dylan's could to have you man I know. Thank you for having me once again, Dude Don Chapman Bro how you feel in Berlin how are you doing good and like I know we touched we had a little talk before were recorded and. It's. Different what the pandemic going on but I also on you mentally and everything, and it wasn't for that pandemic. I think I wouldn't be here doing this with everybody but how you've been holding up I know you're in the city for a bit and now you're back on the island. Yeah. No I, was living in the city for up until probably like a year and then all this stuff happened. So out my family's on the island. So went to go see them hang out. See the one thing that we were talking about before like this pandemic thing. Obviously, it's it's it's a crazy situation very tragic for a lot of people. But on the positive side of it, I mean I know there's not a lot of positives but. The silver lining of it is that a lot of people are. Having, the opportunity to have a lot of time to themselves you know like reflect. You know there's no bad. There is no sports on there was no nothing to distract. So you really gave a lot of people a chance to look inside and Figure out what the fuck they're doing with their lives. And then like I was telling you like. Obviously like I was saying a few bad for everyone who lost a loved one you know my heart goes out to them but it's been a real eye opening. You know mentally for me it's I was able to do things..

"Up to the restart on July 30th Milwaukee books and it's our Pleasure to welcome in a two time Emmy Award winning bucks. TV analysts a five time eh, NBA All Star. Did also play at Bella and won a national championship. That's Marcus Johnson here with us on the Zach Yelp show. Marcus appreciate the time How you doing? I'm doing bills. Everything is no good. All can play good benefits in basketball family from your lips to God's ears. Can't wait to see what's gonna happen in the N B. A bubble. I saw video back in February, You were wearing a Kobe Bryant jersey and you actually threw it down in your road. I'm still dunking at 64 years old. Have you been dunking at all during the pandemic? Or was that a one time thing at 64 district Cream donuts, Bad eye. You must have been nervous, right? Well, every year on my birthday, I do a dung just to see if I could still do it. I didn't plan on doing it this year. Just chill out at my son's a SIA. All over social media. They have got to do it contingent to the one in Sydney one in with that inside, And so, of course, I did a couple of warm up to feel pretty good and And we decided absent phone brought up two tackles. Omar, you know, taco fallen. Whoever jumped over him, Aaron Gordon. Whoever dumped over way last year Next year I'll be 65. That's the official retirement age. I've been retired. I'm Travis. You have to do one more 65 years old. I gotta pay the bed after that. I don't blame you. I don't. I can't even dunk right now. I can't imagine being able to dunk when you're in your sixties. Marcus Johnson here with us on the show. When we look at this MBA restart. We know that the Bucks are the best team in the league. From a record standpoint right now they're going to be the number one seed in the Eastern Conference. The's eight games inside of the bubble. What do you look for out of them where they could really ease themselves back into playing shape? The annex a great question. I was just kind of pondering that looking at the books. Play that scrimmage against neworleans the other night and You know, I just don't think that teams should put too much into the eight. Feeding games. It's a gradual buildup. You want to be planned your best basketball. Obviously when, when the playoffs start. This is such a weird. Praise the different type of experiment. Probably guys. And so, um, you know, see positives from the brother. I've seen not good things about in terms of Kind of fighting since, um, some difficulties against the product in here tonight, but, you know the season games Because boom Jose lost compete. He's gonna want these guys to come out and and just so effort show competitive competitiveness from Paris. But I'm not sure about the ones. The won and lost record is important. At this stage of the game. It's all about kind of a slow, gradual buildup. I've been exploding wants to play all secure here. When you look at the team from last year to this year. What do you see is the biggest difference as they even got better from what they were last year, which was impressive. Well, I mean, ways that it rest values that they're so what he has done that He's given Chris Middleton a breather at defense. Can't Chris I was just looking up Christian defensive record 107th overall, 22nd ranked small forward LeBron and collide As I said at the top. But Chris doesn't have to get all that energy trying to beat this Great three and the win. Clare and I could focus on his office and I was a result becomes one of seven or eight guys who was Trying to suit you both 20% from the three point line, stick to the set plus from the field and monitor it from the people that I think a 20 point today. Yes, I think that's direct benefit to Chris Middleton. Eric Bledsoe also, let's not forget him, Master. He struggle big time last couple of years in the playoffs and honestly, stuff a big farm of the playoffs. Uh, this year, he seemed to be a lot more comfortable in his basketball scared now. It is kind of getting a late start based on tested positive and them in quarantine and all that stuff. How quickly he could kind of get back into a rhythm and flow going to be a big difference. But today I think this team has gotten even better, but local tradition of Robin Has really been a great great move. But John forced our president breaking Robin Lopez, and now we've got two bent beak gets standings and leave so I think the defense has been even better than the great detective team from last season. Marcus Johnson here with us it Zaki help show on CBS Sports radio doing a little bubble breakdown on the Milwaukee butts nationally. The big question about Chris Middleton is. Can the Bucks win it all with him? Be in the Bucks. Second best player. He's a two time All Star. Give me the local feel on that. Our people still concerned locally about Middleton be in that number to peace and winning the championship this year. Right here is where you go. I could go to a barber shop in the hold of the brothers give Ah, little about depended on Chris have the huge games but In terms of inside basketball people, people that have watched Chris closely like myself. I really believe that Chris, it's all about his confident being an all Star to the second consecutive D up really? Helps his belief in himself as being one of the elite players in the league and kept in one of the shooters in the league. And you couple that with the fact that he comes back, he's getting guns for arms and get this definition I've never seen before. His body status. Probably way dog looks really good, really in great shape of the Kalpoe talked about his explosion and bounciness coming back after the four months off was really, really surprised. So he's really putting the work that during this time off to come back and make himself I've been so on. But with president mentally I think that way you get tomato last year, the average with just 14 points in the field, and he left. How Laurie, pending for a big cheque of those minutes in that six game lost to the crap. You have to be enough to love. So you've got a lot to prove, but I think Based on what I'm looking at changes of his body where he is physically brave is right. But I think he's ready to make that statement. When I look at the Eastern Conference, I really do fully expect Milwaukee. To get to the finals. They were in that one seed spot last year did not get there When you look at the Eastern Conference this year, who's the biggest challenger for the Bucks when the season resumes tomorrow night? It's really interesting. You get him some. I think three really legitimate. Even the Miami that mix also, you can't count out exposure and then the butler as your lead gap, but I think there's still a little bit godly hero of none. And guys like that. And then he began by making just a little bit young and that, Betty, but I really believe that Celtics man. I mean, people talk about the Raptors, who I respect about. Nick Norris is a great coach. Brad Stevens was great, but one through four in terms of scoring and issues and problems. You know Jason Taylor planted Kemba Walker is the number one option. That's two through four group these guys to produce and I think about taking on like the game, and that's the most since that Golden State a couple of years ago, but most just like second most 1995 in terms of looking for and then when Gordon Hayward is your fourth option, going going home. What is your fourth option? And then we talk about a container my greatest been, but then this Dylan Brown watching his footwork. Watching the lip bruised stands the finishes in traffic. He's a guy that could be a real problem for team like the book had been. The wild card would be market smart. Distant Jabba, even though Marcus Smart Sixthree export out of 16 11 Marcus Smart office of players and we know how much she just underneath their skin. And so he's a guy that has given me honest as much trouble as anybody scoring effectively and officially against it, So I said that and then the two big catch I mean the pick and roll for five hours straight that Boston life's run. Those two guys found business cancer, pounded it inside a greatjob getting into the paint and score of them that I'm not gonna puke my shot and roll that movies have private medical himself. I really believe that Celtics to me that they're not deed. I think both those four score that they have been a lot of pressure on the Milwaukee ways that do the Middleton. To defend at a high level every night in order to be a minute in a series. When you look at this Buck's team is we're talking to Marcus Johnson here on CBS Sports Radio. And like we said last.

"Our right through is more of a goal scorer you know I mean like no no no no the Clarets more vocal score ginger root down I'd have to I mean that's the other way around that right yeah the clear was going fifty all season to really made me have scored like whites are over thirty full time yeah I mean they were both they were both extremely during a kind of a different yeah I mean there are different types of players but if you got to choose what's your answer to rural Clare tough stuff on me good good point good point I think it's I think it's the clearest one bill what do you got here what remind you grade school do you guys remember those like replaceable racers that you'd put on top pencils you don't talk about yes sure the the extra bed like the bigger racer that you'd ask where you stand on top of a pencil I remember the bigger racer but it would take no you yeah you had just alighted on the top of the pencil it's like my eraser would go on that that was attached to the pencil it was always gone and it was always down to the metal like right away right then you take the extra little racer thing and you know slide on the top you got the extra I decorate don't remember that I all I do remember that yes it's like a football helmet sort of yeah I do remember that I haven't I haven't seen one of them middle class good James do you remember that yeah for sure yeah that's a good one I let's get to this day in sports history a couple notable things in the world sports will start which is four years ago something that happened on this day to day June tenth in sports history four years ago something happened that had nothing to do with Michael Jordan but it kind of ties in directly to Michael Jordan four years ago in this state Draymond green thought it would be a good idea as the Golden State Warriors run their way to winning games for the finals a good idea to take his right hand and arm and smack lebron James in the nether region what happened lebron wasn't happy what happened the NBA suspended Draymond green the warriors won the game they got three games to one this is the season to worsen one seventy three regular season games they were up three one of the NBA finals they were clearly under way to win the NBA championship he suspended game five lebron the cavs win in Golden State game five that was huge they win game six the cavs do at home and then with some momentum lebron takes Cleveland and Golden State wins game seven the cavs do not get their seventy three win season the championship warriors the warriors Jordan's seventy two wins with the title remains intact is kind of like this season and by the way it also keeps Jordan three peat secure with Golden State not winning four in a row because that would have been the second of four in a row from state realized it was three one it was three three one the action of draining Dylan brown signature moment with the block absolutely dead so there is so many things that stem from dream on being an idiot and choosing and by the way wasn't the first time he would need to check for it can I think lebron elbow today I think lebron smartly goaded him into it too that was unbelievable all right other things this day in sports history I'll say quickly I don't want to dwell on it it hurts my heart too much two thousand one the Sixers lose game three on this day to the Lakers you might remember sack and found out we all felt great hope I think the Sixers had a great shot to go up to one or hit a big shot Colby had a float floater Sixers lose and that was kinda yet from there the Lakers have controlled the series I nineteen eighty on this date the seventy Sixers when the great draft picks in team history with the eighth overall pick select enter Tony first rounder nineteen eighty NBA draft we go back to nineteen twenty one here's a little trick I'll mix a trivia question for you guys Babe Ruth on this St John and James becomes baseball's all time home run leader nineteen twenty one remember big plays until like the mid thirties said nineteen twenty one he breaks the record how many how many how many how many did he end up with a break we all thirteen how many home runs that he had when he broke the record team well that's way too high of thirteen come although he ended up with twenty nine no no no not not single season I'm sorry career I'm sorry yeah girl sees a roof becomes the all time yeah so it's like I don't know three hundred down in an in an alarm ninety something one hundred and twenty yeah he breaks the record one on and it's not then broken again until Hank Aaron breaks it in the seventies with home run number seven hundred and fifteen so wow yeah Babe Ruth wait Babe Ruth laughs wait baby number was one one Sony Sony TV yes just for that for comparison for single season record the record was twelve and then routed twenty nine on the season right why was it only twelve was a double layer it was dead ball the different balls all the different style how there was a bad deal we get from we're talking about that with handy the record was twelve twelve home runs right most ever hidden assemblymember nineteen was a twenty was when the player you'll just a lot lighter well let's have years to have your ball yeah here's the thing a player got hit ray Chapman right Chapman got hit with a pitch in his head and died in nineteen twenty haha and they said they had a hard time seeing the ball that's way got killed is the only player base was to get killed the game they change the composition the baseball paper takes awhile yeah I had no idea yeah yeah they've also had a different style of hitting for instance and Ty Cobb like there is a game it was the original Onyango guy but there we right but there was there was a game in the twenties and Ty Cobb said I'll show you how to hit home runs one out there and hit three home runs and say now I'm gonna go back and play my style but that's the old each row thing they sell there we said in batting practice teacher just used to launch our islands but in the game right hit the ground running wild and speaking of launching home runs were actually in this case not well rounded out thirty six years ago nineteen seventy four when the Wacker things in front of you sports ever involving the great Mike Schmidt in the Houston Astrodome hit a ball headed for a home run what happens it hits the public address speaker of the Astrodome roof three hundred feet from home plate N. one hundred and seventeen feet high up in the so he launches a ball mammoth three hundred feet out at a hundred and seventy they never thought a ball hit that spot which meant it was such a slugger and it falls to the Astrodome turf and it is officially ruled a single I thought it was a double but yet a great single for Marcelino single I guess I made a surprising maybe they had round round round yeah I don't know single what what they care underscore Phillies won the game easily that matter but there you go single telephone zero one five five nineteen ninety four nine four talk to ray southwest Philly head right they are doing us doing well right yeah I just want to make a few comments on the first one I'm I can't put a horse in front of a human yeah I mean that's just me yes me too so let me ask you a question ray would you take secretariat or.

"Right from the Texas public policy foundation right and like all the fell out Bob Dylan brown is on the phone from the Vince young steak house Hey Philip how are you very well good morning guys are all good good good I'm I'm I'm not I hate the fact that you called us to talk about something that's well affecting business we love to talk to a better terms but Philip you've kind of been at the front and center of this issue involving our homeless community give me demanding some changes are you go ahead no you know you can express I was gonna say well you know what what would you like to city council to do are you getting any kind of feedback from the mayor on these issues now no feedback I guess apparently just call out to the media about love boys who on social media but without mentioning our names yeah that's the all you were right you are when you don't get a response from your own city council members office yeah that you post on social media and call them out yet Philip yeah yeah you're a local business owner you got a problem with the city you voice your concerns and then instead of responding to you the mayor does a side swipe at you during some meeting at a and defends himself against this year were nerve and even have the but I get the hoods but put it nicely to at least mention my name or the called out on it you know it's just it's frustrating because we're dealing with these issues and we don't feel that we're getting any support or at least our voices are being heard that's our biggest issue here we're not upset with the homeless population because we feel this is a safety issue for everybody involved the homeless population the businesses the citizens of this city is gonna get pro boiling point at at some point where things are gonna get real bad and that's gonna affect everybody in the city the government the the city government is puts off this persona the perception that they don't care and they don't want to do anything that they are yeah no I don't understand in your voice so the matter and it's just really really frustrating I hear you frustrate hasn't affected business absolutely yeah it's not a person has a mean we've got five posted on Sunday I responded back to a tweet the baby is probably not the best business strategy that they bring to light these issues but as a local business that someone is born and raised in Austin our second generation off the night it's really frustrating when I feel that the only way we can get things done at this point is the only way to fix the issue is bring the issue to light and so that's what we're doing here we've gotten feedback that you know people are deciding not to come downtown at this point we've actually heard from some of your employees in from time to time their little nervous walking through the parking lot they are you know I mean especially at night you know during the day although that stabbing there have been in our parking lot happened in the middle of the day at about eleven thirty one afternoon but at night you know walking in the alley ways around the downtown the you said you your loan male or female it doesn't matter you know it it's nerve wracking there's no doubt that his business still good still good we we had our our best year ever last year you know but I I know if this keeps going on you know that the news poll that came out the partition of people are afraid to come downtown you know it it again perception of reality in the parking odd downtown Austin is not on safe it's not a save the once was and I don't think any growing cities ever going to be as safe as a once was but unfortunate Austin also used to be a small town is still small town but it's a growing town that that getting large thank you guys for deal a big city problem then when when you have these these currently the murder free burgers in our parking lot stabbing on six street stabbing blonde and campus those are gonna make major headlines in a city like Boston and that's going to make the process that downtown of them safe and then when the city council does absolutely nothing but make it easier for the homeless population to camping in where they want to to to give the homeless population that that that that feeling that they can do whatever they want their perception becomes reality that offices on safe in the city council loving care let me ask you this a fella brown the owner operator the Vince young a steak house a typically stories like this motivate someone like you to run for city council is that something you thought about it is something that we're we're thinking about you know I'm using copies of the politics the people a lot smarter than me and I'm just a guy the like the cell good steak the people on the buy it but you know it is frustrating that the see the an actor makes you want to get involved in the this point I was thinking maybe city council run but you know we got two years in that the mayor keeps wanting to do nothing and called down baby we succumb bridge job because you know yeah I don't know it's frustrating and then something needs to be done it although I know wonderfull great to start talking about a Senate run that might be a blessing in disguise let me go get to the Senate where there's still the minority can't do anything and get him out of the city council I'll be the best thing that could be a good thing for sure he'll accomplish nothing as a senator he he can directly affect you and your business every day absolutely they do every day and they don't they don't not all we're asking for you know after stabbing in the parking lot I called are councilwoman's office in and that's probably like the seven time I'd ever called and left a message in no other time it ever going to call back that took a stabbing to get a call back in Portugal in aid that call back and gave the typical political speech pass the Buck on to the police officer wouldn't take any responsibility and you know I just this this one our voices to be heard in you don't be I think you shouldn't take more than five minutes for an elected official good to make a phone call I think that's the least they could do because that's their job well I'll be honest with us the only place your voice is going to be hard I mean this is this is it right here I want to correct you on one thing you you said you sold Greg steaks and then Chuck steak house I've seen the commercials it's not you that selling stakes at your wife does not out of the one that stands yeah yeah I know they they try to keep me locked up in the back which is probably bad sees a lot more eloquent than I am and is a lot better a people person Justin I definitely I should run for cell phones I do I I wonder who should run as a driver you guys got you people have to step up the thought about we have got to have good candidates who are willing to stand for something run for city council if we wanted anything to change so I absolutely encourage you to consider it we need people with common sense we need people with good head on their shoulders we need people who are just reasonable distance yeah business owners as I am I a I it pains me to hear you know that you think that it's a bad business decision to go public and it's just require a response from your own city council member that that shouldn't be too much to ask you shouldn't have to go through us these measures just from a city council yeah so our I have a date night planned on Friday with my husband so we're we're gonna come on stage there was a yellow lab that would love to have you down on Friday let me ask you some very specific can you eat to the prime Porter house for to the forty two outs prime Porter house for a ten dollars yes can you eat that by yourself and your residing at someone said you know maybe at the younger man I probably could do these days no but we we we have had used to have a college kid come in everyone's well with his father related to the bard he was not one of those out all by themselves so it can be done so that it can be done thank you give it a shot thank you so much for all of us appreciate your call is here all the time to don she'll have a great day Sir yeah you think I'll grab me keep up the great work that brown owner operator Vince young steak house home is probably down there around their business so for the bad baggy their banking the city council to help them yeah but here the businesses stood still well but those are challenges that they just should not have to deal with Ellen tough until they can find you find me online any you know Twitter Instagram Facebook at Elon trucks clear I would love to connect with you thank you so much it's not indict show good feed store is changing lives for the better because they're getting rid of foot pain knee pain and low back pain hi good morning it's mark Caesar I've seen their great work first hand my wife went into the good feed store about four years ago with terrible foot pain she is super active but she has high arches and plantar fasciitis that's a double whammy and she was in all kinds of pain but thanks to the good feed store and they're remarkably effective arch supports it you wear and all of your shoes all.

"Dylan brown is to the ball up a regular kickoff formations so my theory on the onside kick as for not it was a straight away kick off that will be touched the situation we'll start this position of their twenty five yard line with six twenty one left in this game a easy to turn over score two to get something going you know the two balls of put the ball on the ground but what did you want to make sure that you get a good security first of recover dropped the ball twice they've lost time so that you showed some sports been able to stop all right now such a machine is broken off a couple long place me and he's also cation this afternoon so it's it's not a foregone conclusion that the laws will be the eighty seven illegal number so yeah he said to number forty six is on the field the same time which is a and so that is a correction so instead of a five yard penalty against defects because state from the king and have to kick against central Michigan just a takes the five yards they'll start their thirty yards and the agency to get the ball they're down by two touchdowns was six twenty one left in this game could have multiple players with the same number but they just have hand off toward more goes to his left except for yards is tackled by John Ferguson at the thirty four yard line will be second down at six now for the job again like research they're just gonna really wrote this ball just power we like the left side of the office that's what I last under six minutes to go in this game such a Michigan a second down at six Jonathan ward and Colby Lewis said the main cogs in the offense they fake the ball the Lewis was our quarterback a keeper slides down short of the first down yardage third down to so the sorrows apparently a better runner determine the office now third down for the chip flag on the is right at the line of scrimmage so again the officials say the flag is being picked up whatever they thought was illegal was in fact for that a few times get it right that's only one third down into chip was discussed they got to do after this I want to take the full plate clock will be under five minutes with these exactly what they're going to do they're going to take their time in this give themselves to the one five oh eight two goal in this game third down to for center which is needed did you ever hear defensive and those are will run he goes to his left he's got the first downs across the forty to forty two as a first down with four fifty seven left in this game straight powers all of those big office allied to get a first down twenty two twenty eight the central Michigan Chippewas with the lead the Aggies only score this second half came on their last possession on a touchdown pass from head gives the jury why now on first down the quarterback sorry she goes to is that they really like that left side two yard game over there by will cost for second down an eight forty Chippewas we have a stoppage time out take time out the answer to our jobs as a starter trivia quiz question was the trouble was that American conference thank Johnson's ace hardware for their long time sponsors liver most loyal sponsors through the years thanks Larry brown the staff our four minutes twenty seven seconds left second right now one other time out the Yankees have to time outs left and the chip was have a second down in aids and as I said before they're not in any hurry to to do anything they just want I just want to the clock to roll it maybe gain some yardage Europe by two touchdowns and now on second down the sorrow was the quarterback a senior even though is the third man rotation he is a veteran he's got those behind it with a pistol Louis gets the handoff comes the near side escapes one tax at the forty five because of the oldest stopped at the forty eight it'll be third down and for now for central Michigan yeah you stop the clock again with four fifty left it'll be third down and as for yards to go for central Michigan is Doug Martin uses a second time out this is a big third down right here if you want to keep herself for the ball game that you have to get a stop but get a first down arms you with only one time out whether you're part chip walls walk out first down Jim was six of sixteen today on third down which is not great this is third down it really four yards plus it would that's a long for sorry we still the quarterback he is he is well we've determined the star running corner Lewis is just to look for the right side hash markets there down at four Louis gets the hand off and the Aggies get to him and he's right at the six for the first down he had to get to the egg is forty eight yard line and let's see where the spot is the clock right now is stopped at four eleven and the greater the measurement here Korea looks like they're going to measure again I set up before obviously these running backs have done a great job today but you know what you don't see a lot of the fall of the done it successfully but these running backs specifically of just a really good job which is super patient when they get the ball it is a first down as the triple laws get the ball get the first down by less than the length of the football so as short as the Yankees were on there for the trouble was to have that go on their way clock starts now we're coming down for chip was a guest judge just display Clark wrote down as far as possible game and just gonna want this down as much as they can first down at the eighty forty eight yard line Lazaro hands the ball off to Lewis going to is right the Aggies corral Lewis of short down for a loss Mexico State University gets the ball well that time Jason since the tackle second.

"Mila Kunis Kim Jong Matthew Broderick centers on a ten year old girl nicknamed June who spent her childhood bonding with her mom and building a rube Goldberg like amusement park in her room together with her mom get sick and sent away and June herself is sent to math camp, which is apparently a thing in this movie. She escapes into the woods and stumbled upon a rundown life size version of her parks. So she bands together with the talking animals who run the park to help restore it to its glory. Kind of an interesting history in that it was directed by a former Pixar animator named Dylan Brown, but he was eventually fired from the production. When multiple women came forward and complained about inappropriate conduct and other result. This movie is one of those rare cases where there is actually no director credited, which is really unusual. But all of that aside. I wasn't able to see this one. But critics say that it's a fairly harmless kids adventure that feels like it has something to say about dealing with grief and loss, but it kind of gets lost in its talking animals and amusement park gags. It's also got a few surprising unexpectedly dark moments, and it's far too predictable to be very enjoyable for any parents who might have to sit through it with their kids. So this one is strictly for the little ones if you just need something to occupy their attention for a while. And it's currently not doing so well at twenty six percent. That is the nicest brutal takedown I've heard in a while. Okay. Captive state. This is an alien invasion movie with a twist because it's not so much about the invasion itself. But what happens after an alien invasion? It's directed by Rupert. Wyatt. Who did the first of the recent planet of the apes movies? It starts John Goodman and Ashton Sanders who was one of the young actors from moonlight a few years ago takes place in a dystopia in Chicago about a decade after an alien race has invaded and occupied earth do set up sort of a new governing body for humans and the movie follows a young factory workers who was daily life until he gets wrapped up in a rebellion plot that involves his brother while John Goodman plays a police officer who lives sort of assimilated and comfortably accepted his new role within the social hierarchy that's been set up by the aliens. Despite the people involved the studio for whatever reason decided not to screen it widely for critics so reviews for it didn't start coming in until last night. It's doing okay, it's at sixty three percents. So I haven't had a chance to see this one. But from what I've heard, you know, the the movie has a modest budget. So it's more cluttered than than action driven. And the story is pretty ambitious doesn't quite always live up to those and Bishen. So it does get a little bit messy. But it's overall a solid movie with the strong cast a few interesting twists and manages to stay fairly engaging. So that one is currently at sixty three percent talking with Ryan you tiny rotten tomatoes dot com, and then there's five feet apart. Yeah. I get a feeling you probably won't be interested in this movie..

"I would probably go Kouzmin next. I've been impressed with his development this year. He's kinda proven that what he did last season as a rookie was no fluke, and, you know, been more more effective at the defensive end. Even if that's never going to be a strength for him. Then it would I would probably go. Jalen a little bit over Ingram. I'm not an Ingram believer. I wrote about this if you weeks ago, and it was ranking the Lakers young prospect that his closest comparisons in my shaney projection system. Our guys you don't really wanna be compared to damore to Rosen. In there in the top five, and that's kind of the optimistic outcome. But the rest of them are Andrew Wiggins Harrison Barnes Marvin Williams and Jeff green with the fourth player of that ilk. All of these guys who tantalized us with the potential that never kind of made good on it. And then I think I'd have rose year last because of the fact that you know, he's going to at this point be on a much larger contractors a restricted free agent than you need guys who are still on their rookie deals. Wow. By the way, have you hide to call you out on this. But when I'm going to do it anyway about to do that KP was not high on Dylan Brown coming out of cow. Right. And I'd like to know revisiting now. And I know you don't just what's changed like if it seems first of all if it's different from what his projections were coming out of college. And if they were different what what's been the difference? Yeah. The I'm definitely higher on him than I was then which you know, I think that some the statistical projections that I do Joe and Brown came out terribly. And like, I I'm not naive enough to think that those are the say on be all I think I had him as like the number thirteen prospect in that year's draft, which is a lot lower. The Celtics are taking him number two overall. But you know, not quite that low. I think what has changed his he's shown he can be, you know, a solid three point shooter solid catch and shoot option. And that would to me was a big question Mark after watching him at Cal. That's made him into that kinda useful role player. The question is whether he's got the ability to kind of train send it and have that star potential that I think the Celtics on him. And we saw you know, some of that last season his second year when he was asked to do more. But you know, he's struggled enough. This year is in his third year that I think I've started to see, you know, everyone else's started see some of the reasons that I had question marks about him coming out of Cal. There is Kenan pelton ESPN NBA insider the human computers we like to call him. Check. Out his story as to why the Lakers should not reengage with the pelicans, or they should walk away from this particular iteration of the offer you can check it out on ESPN. Plus, and of course on insider on ESPN dot com. KP thank you for joining. Our lockdown reunion. We appreciate it anytime. Thanks for having me. You got it there. It is. That's Kevin pelton with us there. All right. I mean, I got five minutes with you here before we go. Okay. And it's about Lonzo. So lavar earlier today went on a Phoenix radio station. And basically said that Luke Walton is a loser. And that he's turned Lonzo into a loser. Did you see that? I didn't. I you know, what it just brought back memories of last year. Man. When lavar was everywhere today when we talked about this story about him a wanting Lonzo to play in Phoenix on the jump. They ran like a quick b roll of lavar, lavar dunking on Marcellus Wiley sports nation, right? Laura..

"I would I rather have one terabyte SSD. Absolutely. But again, if you're gaming the SSD's are going to help your levels load fast or your game slowed faster with the not gonna make the game run any faster. So you know, if you're not gonna DIY arise and five series system with say MD five ninety these are some pretty nice bills. And again, you are gonna pay a little bit of a premium for that compact footprints Lenovo or Dylan's Brown gaming towers three. They're going to give you a bump up a GP you or a slightly lower price for you know, when you're looking at it. So you might get a, you know, a ten sixty and set of a ten fifty TI. Or you might pay a hundred dollars less on a system. So you know, if you're thinking if you land parties if you're in the east sports gatherings. If you want to be able to drag your PC around that you wanna full power PC definitely an option worth considering. Now, we just need an easy to pack. Ten eighty p monitor or bigger something bigger ADP with but it's hard to pack monitors. Well, it's just hard to pack monitors say that. Yeah. But I do like that case design. It's definitely, you know, thing been quite Khan and events like that several times like something like that would would probably be gone godsend to those guys. They're trying to lug, you know, we'll just a standard desktop case around without a handle. You usually have the opening like a cart they roll around and whatnot. Nobody likes carrying around a bit to PC. It's just never fund the. I was not expecting Samsung release new SSD's, but you gotta right up on the eight sixty Q V O one terabyte and four terabyte SATA SSD's. What's the story? Yeah. So I don't think Samsung was planning to on forbid pursell flash SSD's either based on when back in August when I was at flash memory summit. I think there were they were supposed to speak at five army summit, but until came up on and started talking all this four bit pursell stuff. And I think Samsung opted to not talk about what they were gonna talk about. Because I don't believe they had four hundred per cell stuff ready. Ooh. Now here we are a few short months later won't be hold. Here's some eight sixty Q V, O drives instead of ego. Like, the eagles Donal, and yeah, it's it's very much the same formulas. What you used to if you're if you understand how the how their previous Yvo series worked where they would have TLC flash, which has three bits per cell. And then they would have some SLC flash. Which is one bit per cell, which is much faster. That's used as a cash on the front end of the other stuff that's slower, but. Store can store data more efficiently. As far as you know. How many bits you can fit into the space available on the on the flash memory? Now, you take that and you up at one more notch right now. Instead of storing free bits reach sell on the mass storage part of the now, they're cramming forbids into each cell, which means you have a very small piece of silicon inside of a chip that is, you know, couple dozen nanometers across and it stores electrons, and it stores them and can be read from such a degree or there's sixteen independent levels. And then you multiply that by millions of those. Across the chip. And then you add multiple of those chips together and you end up with the necessary. Like this. It just it boggles the mind that they're able to pull this off with you know, that level of precision these days, but there appear to have been some trade offs this time where in the past you'd have something like a pro series drive from Samsung, which is just two bits per cell. Then you'd have an ego series drive. And in some cases, the ego might actually surpass the pro because it had that cash and the cash was, you know, perhaps even faster in some respects than even the pro series drive was wasn't the case here. Specifically on random reads. And this is this is the kind of workload where you know..

"To be fair and i love ripping guys for bad draft picks but picking twenty five to thirty five in the nba you're not get a lot of lotta wins their necessarily whereas marcus smart and jail in brown he has that hit on the top ten picks you have to get right is he gets a lot of credit for getting rondo worry got rondo it's some of the other guys later in the draft but those guys and marcus smart we see it some nights real like talking about the top six beck another nights like like that's the the but i have to second round pick and then yeah right and then jail and brown for me way too early to tell i was not fan of the pick but still he was the third overall selection this year so you know yeah you didn't get simmons or ingram you got brown you didn't trade the pick yet it up with him and that's going to be one that sticks with danny ainge on whether or not he is he's a good draft or not and it's funny that hear the caller said he's done with jae crowder because it's about his puerto well taken you got to know what's a role is and at times of the game is a little yeah hon refine surprisingly but jae crowder i thought hit it last night she's common last night so you know i'm really been essential intimate tourney talking about progress right i want to get a win against somebody's top teams is tied for star winning and so i think that overall point is right but the celtics breakout i skating along with hey they're building assets to join them nice job and their competitive i don't want to play everyone first from series you know what i mean this is not one of i wanna playoff series and for you even though he got some entries we get it that's mejor east now playing good basketball it's time to start catching in on all this good will but they've gotten from the fan but this offseason for example i got crap for saying this i i'm not a huge al horford fan and i don't know you know i'm not and that and i didn't like the dylan brown pick however i felt like it was a good offseason.
