"You said, Jimmy's gonna have his annual ten, 12 games and betting against our exposure and this team that knows its identity knows this defensive identity. Didn't really play a good defensive gaming against the sons, a son's team that didn't obviously have cam Johnson didn't have Chris Paul. Dwayne Washington was going off from three. But just kept kind of churning through on the defensive end and then had a scheme in place to, you know, every time Devin Booker had the ball or in a ball screen action, they would switch it and then double them and force a pass and force someone else to beat them. And they just kind of know what they are, who they are. And still managed to win that game with Jimmy at the end, getting that great stop against Devin Booker. But the fact that it was so close at home and their schedule right now, they're about to go on the road. Road heavy schedule coming up. It could get pretty, I don't want to say ugly. I think this team is just average. I don't think they're very good. I don't think they're very bad. Their average, but that's just not really going to cut it. They have these sequences here and there where things look good, but Duncan Robinson is not hitting us three as game Vincent's not hitting his threes. It's just a thin team, really dependent on Jimmy Butler and Jimmy Butler's third on the team right now in usage. And I always want him to be a little bit more aggressive, offensively as a score. They needed him in that Charlotte game and over time, I want him to be like that more often and then that's just not who he is until the playoffs happen. But yeah, going back to the hawks, wait, hold on, can we finish my aim and then we'll go to the hawks, but absolutely. The butler thing. So last night, if you just watched the last three minutes, you're like, oh my God, Jimmy Butler. But it only took 12 shots. He has the ability to kind of, I don't want to say coast, but he picks his spots because he's older. But then you watch the last 5 minutes. The defense he played on Booker on that last play was out of control. That was like game 7. Defense. And I was watching it, wondering, in the back of my head, I wonder if he's putting on a little show just in case, just in case Phoenix wants to make an offer to 500 Miami team in two months. Maybe I don't know what it is, but I do wonder, I just don't think butler's made to be in a 500 team. And I think that's another subplot to watch with them. Clearly, they won three in a row. They kind of read their ship a tiny bit, but I just think that's a subplot that we have to watch. If that team is 24 and 28, because a couple injuries happen or whatever. I don't trust him to just be happy in a bad situation. Anyway, putting them on that hawks. What do you see? Always been a sucker for the hawks. I love Trey young. I think he's one of the 5 best offensive players in basketball. Pick and roll genius. His shot has not been falling this year, so I see a little bit of upside when he kind of things turn around a little bit for him. 34% of his shots last year were pull up three is now it's down to 25%. I want him to, you know, Jack things up a little bit more. They're not really falling. They will. Dijon Murray is just the offense is still bad when Trey is off the floor regardless of who's on it, which is a little concerning, but their net rating is positive because of Dijon, I think. He's just such a great, such a great table setter, such a great pick and roll playmaker, settles things down. There was one play last night against the bucks. By the way, they beat the bucks twice this season. One of those games was without Trey, the bucks are ten and three, two last week against the hux, which is pretty impressive. But there was one play last night in transition where he just squeezed, bringing the ball up in the open floor and he screams for John Collins to run through the paint, run through, run through. Drag his man hits Deandre hunter in the corner for a corner three. Just like a really smart communicator settles things down, I've always been a huge fan of his game all around player, doesn't really need the ball even though his spot up shooting from the outside is terrible, but his pull up from the mid range is great. The one thing I'll say is really concerning about this team. Really miss bogdan Bogdanovich really miss Kevin herder, dead last in three point rate. First and mid range frequency, I just don't understand there's some players on this team that just should shoot more threes and I don't understand why they don't and I hope that that kind of tilts back in the right direction as the season goes on, but you nailed it with capella. He looks great on Kong whoo basically guards Giannis and deku kumbo better than anybody in the league. Incredible player. So I just love the depth in Atlanta and what's really funny, I just want to say is that they make this trade I don't want to say it's a panic trade for Dijon Murray but you give up three firsts. Which is a lot. And you look at the roster and it's like they want to win right now, but in two or three years, that is when this team is going to peak

So he's a really good player, but there was a reason why Milwaukee was like, all right, go ahead. You want to throw in that kind of money? We're out. And by the way, if you're a pacers fan, you had a tailor from Austin P last night, Sykes from Green Bay, Dwayne Washington, junior Ohio State. That is, they are creeping up into first place in our all Google team rankings. That was a lot of pacer stock. Detroit, cave Cunningham in Sadiq bay, I'm probably more in maybe than I should be. I'm not as in as I was last year. His shootings just kind of down. And he's 39% overall, but I still like him. I used to always be out that he was overrated. Now I'm in he was out since December 10th is back now. Orlando Franz in suggs two early not worried about a coal in for this role, but on a good team. I don't know if he'd be allowed the freedom. Career lows right now, though, shooting 41% overall 33% from three, not worried about it. You know he's two free throw attempts per game for his career. That's the thing about clip. We all love them, but the rest of the statute, this is not somebody who you go stat sheet filler. He's like three boards and two assists who free throw a game. That's what he is for his career. I'm not worried about how bad it looks right now. If he were a subscription, I wouldn't try to ever cancel it. I would be like, hey, there it is again. Here's a subscription. And I'm in for Conley because of what I just expected economy can play off the basketball. I know he's getting a little bit older slowing down a little bit. But I'm fine with that. But there are moments in every look a game. I wouldn't want to say out, but I'll go, what are you doing right now? I mean, any complaints nonstop. Proxy. This one's tough. It hurts. "Own. Yeah. I don't know. I just don't know. I don't know. Is it just stale for these guys? This game, this game really frustrates me. If we want to keep going on, like, could you have saved this? Could you have adjusted something? The 60s weren't that good. Tonight were they? And indeed was good. And it was good. He wasn't great. He should have had the 30 point streak easy in this one. He didn't. And then everyone else on that team just sort of took advantage of eternal verse. So this game was there for the taking. It really was. You could have made a comeback pushing this one easily. You were writing that 15 range the whole second half, weren't you? And no one really slammed the door shut off but at the same time. I just think the spirit wasn't there. It was. Yeah, it wasn't. I never made a run. People can say what they want about email. Maybe he was a minute, you know, maybe he took a stars out, maybe a minute too quickly or whatever, but at the end of the day, do they have enough emotionally to make that comeback? You know, the way we've seen them in the past, you could sort of sensitive a bit in that third quarter or at least to start the fourth quarter when all nights like that. But I didn't get that sense at all in this one. And again, would they really accomplish this right this week? They went to overtime against a pacers team that started Dwayne Washington and key for Sykes. You beat a nix team that didn't have can be fournier or Noel in that game. And then you blew out the pacers on Wednesday. That was a solid win, but it was just one. And then you completely flipped that effort in this one. So we are where we are with this team still. I'm still where I was last Thursday for out of New York. This group is broken to me. Something deep is just not right here. And they don't have a ton of flexibility. And you know what? Like a game like this where you have such a brutal stretch in the first quarter. I said this last Thursday, John, New York. Does personnel addition or even kind of like a consolidation move fix this when you just have these lapses where you can't stop a spiral or you take such bad shots so you don't run your offense. That's from the core of this team on a night like this, right? So you can add the shooters, you can add the wing defenders, you can do this and that. But does the core that team really change all that much? That's when I'm worried about here. And then, you know, you were missing smart in this one. That matters, but this just that first quarter, the way in which you came out in this one, just resemble so many of their worst moments this year, and it's been such a consistent trend for this group. "He's so important to what they do. He wasn't healthy. If he's healthy and some of his death over the course of the season will help him be healthy because he's not getting beat up in practice every day. They have the ability to do that. But just as suing. Great mismatch guy could play one through four. And he played the point arch. Can he get into year ago? He did it a year ago form at times in a pinch huge win at Illinois played someone. I think we're Ohio State has the ability to score the ball so many different ways. If you ask me why they'll be better, I think they'll be better defensively, than they were a year ago because one they have more size and they have more depth. They can throw at you and I believe on the perimeter, you add a guy like a Wheeler. He's an instant defensive menace. And you add some getting older with suing in the system and whatnot. I think they'll be better. But I think if you talk to Chris holt, when what's his concern going to be, his concern is going to be, he has to replace a top notch backboard. I mean, top notch, I mean, CJ walker was a stud, a rock with the ball. He's a rock on both ends, the leader, a winner. And then, you know, when you start to talk about Dwayne Washington, I'm not sure there is a guy in the league a year ago that was more lethal in terms of being able to scorn bunches. He'll have to replace those two guys, but over the accumulative effect of bringing sotos back, adding Wheeler, you have meaty johnsons now a year old or who played a little bit for him last year. You have arms who can really shoot the ball suing. I mean, they have a lot to work with. I think health will be a big thing for Kyle young's health, always seems to nip them in the bud at a certain time of year, but sometimes health can be helped by depth every day where a guy like cow young doesn't have to take every rep, and they have more bodies in practice. And to me, I think, Ohio State is a pick. And one of the big reasons why, I don't know about you guys, I feel like them losing in the NCA tournament as a two seed in bringing those guys back. Motivated. I feel like there's an edge on there. There's a little bit of an edge there that they're going to be out to get a little further. So but if you told me perdue's gonna win it, no questions asked there Michigan Michigan state. I like Indiana a lot. I like Maryland. But to me, I just look at like Robbie said who's coming back, you know, Illinois. Who's coming back? Who can you put it down on the paper and say, hey, I know what this guy is going to bring to the table in this league on a nightly basis. There's probably four or 5 teams that are going to compete to win the league and I wouldn't be surprised for 5 losses doesn't get you right up at the top.
