"Which gets us to this next question. What if Because he's not comfortable throwing the ball 40 times again. Pete Carroll, conceptually what if they try to go back to what's more comfortable to Pete? And either they don't win enough to Russell Wilson? Satisfaction or Russell doesn't feel In in charge enough for statistically engaged enough. I I don't buy this relationship as being all right, Ross. Ring of Otter. You're 42 years old. Have a great life. I don't see that with this team. I don't either, And I'm looking up there. His his, um His his contract Now just to see when there is a potential out. I mean, I'm sure there was far more palatable next season. We talked about this. Yeah, That's right. So I mean, it's do what you can now to keep things status quo. That's what it feels like is going on. And then if things don't get better. And I don't know if look at the draft stamps. I don't know what they did in the draft or in free agency did on a first round pick as he gave to the Jets from all Adam straight. That's right, but they didn't have a they didn't have, um, free agency with the offensive line, like did they address what was actually the issue? Because essentially, that's what he was talking about, he said. I don't want to get sacked like I'm tired of getting sacked. He's one of the most sack quarterbacks in the NFL over the last three years. Right, So I get that the way that you fix that is by Picking up some good old lineman. Did they pick up any would they do again? This is actually really interesting. I don't know if I've ever seen this. They had three draft picks, Period, three draft pick in the whole draft in the entire draft, a second rounder, 1/4 rounder, any sixth rounder and what you have seen it in the Ricky Williams trade. That's right. Yeah, that's a good point, but I mean the rail. I mean, I got crazy, though. Yeah. Three. Wow. They went wide receiver in the second round. Dwayne Eskridge. They went corner in the fourth round and they went old line in the sixth round. Okay, That's just opening. You guys are rotational players. A backup. Your QB is demanding old line. You have three draft picks, and you go. Oh, line free agents around like somebody like Morgan Moses, formerly of Washington. That's right. No, he just shook loose, But, yeah, he can help anybody's with my team. Now who do they sign? Free agency Mike Let's see. It looks like they have. Dwayne Brown. Damian Lewis, who's been there, Ethan Poaching who's been there? Gabe. They got Gabe Jackson. Remember that deal with the with the with the Raiders? Yeah, That's right. Gabe Jackson. Yeah. And Brandon Shell, But it looks like all of them have been there doesn't think they've upgraded at least nothing that I see. Yeah, No, they really haven't tough division tough conference stop schedule. So, basically, the point is, this is going to come due again next season this year. This year, it was kind of an untenable situation like where could he actually go, and he has a no trade clause. In his contract, So it's not like if they said we're going to send you someplace to, you know, wallow and whatever rebuild um then that that would be different the potential out as I finally found it is 2022. It's three years. Uh 107 left on the deal, but only 26 million of dead cap money. In 2022 after the 2022 season or after 21 going into 20 going into the 20. That's what I thought so after the season, so after this, that's what we said There is a potential outfit Seahawks stamp. Yeah. Um, but that that obviously depends on where Russell I don't know how he expresses himself this season and what the season looks like because you look, we know he's great. We know terrific player is going to be successful. Um, wherever he is, even if he doesn't have a great old line, he just wants a chance to win again. Yeah, they don't upgrade around him. It's not going to happen. I just don't like the way he expressed it. I don't begrudge him for his desire to have more protection. He deserves it. Let's see. They opened up the season at Indy. Host Tennessee at Minnesota at San Francisco, home to the ramps. It's pretty tough schedule. Yeah, those are all those could all those could all be playoff teams. That's right. Every one of them. Colts, Titans Vikings, Niners Rams, Then they play at Pittsburgh. Wow. Yeah, I don't have many layups here now. It's rough for them, so I still think that there's going to be No, it's going to be a contentious but not not not where he's going on radio shows. I don't mean that he's too refined to have this bleed into the season. I believe I think you're right, you know, But that doesn't mean that what he told Dan Patrick, the second time is true. I'm not buying that the bite it Like anything else with the shambo and a cobra. Anybody anybody say anything? It turns out, he's changing clubs. He's going to Nike clubs starting tomorrow. No, that's not true. Cobra. We adjust. I mean, you can get the voice for it over. He almost has to Cobra. You just like the only way he cobra. The only complain we adjust the only way he sourced this out as if he sticks through them and actually plays. Well, Yeah, otherwise he's was in a spot fire his behind. Mean that they might do that anyway. Alright. We can't fire the books yet. They even it.

"Every week day at four Eastern on the mother ship. When Russell Wilson came on our show, and then the fall out after that, subsequently did did Seattle address what they needed to address? Or did Ruskin did he hear what he needed to hear? That's right it to you that I have to personally blame for three weeks of debate. Hell being, especially all of you. How do you feel about losing a quarter bag? I provided content for the media for a month, Meena and no one thanked me. Okay. You know what? Thank you. It wasn't like a moment in the year when we really needed it. Like right now, Aaron Rodgers basically single handedly saving the sports media industry. And we should all be seeing hosannas his name and, um, you know he is carrying it Could you know I'm gonna NFL show Dan every day. One hour a day. June is the desert and Aaron Rodgers is pouring this water into our mouth. He is in a wasted for us, and you didn't do that with Russell. And I suppose I do owe you some thanks for that, even though personally, it caused me great. Great emotional distress. But can we? I never thought he was leaving. And I also think that he seems to be pretty satisfied with what Seattle's done, you know, going out training for Gabe Jackson from the Raiders to shore up the interior of the offensive line signing bureau ever it tight end From the rands. I thought that was he was previously with the Rams. I thought that was a sneaky, good signing and then drafting a wide receiver real speedster Dwayne Eskridge with their first pick in the draft, all really smart pick But for Wilson, you know when you look at the struggles at the second half of last season, it wasn't because of the lack of protection. It was really schematic, and some of them frankly had to do with Wilson. So so that's it. I'll be washing for with Seattle early on to see if they've a new officer coordinator. Shame of altering has cured those ills. Did the Niners make themselves better in the draft. Yes, Unfortunately they did. I was a really rooting for the Mac Jones pick as the C Ock San. Um I said this, you know a kind of hit me. I'm really a few days later. The Constanta hands the most devastating run game designer and football and he's done all that We got a mobile quarterback without an extra threat to change the numbers. I am terrified at the Concoctions. You know the nightmarish scenarios. Every linebacker in the league saw that and mentally screamed on it, You know, just wetting themselves at night, thinking about what Shanahan and Trey Lancer going to do. Wedding themselves at night. These in mentally went okay. Okay. I didn't know if you could confirm little less graphic confirm that her not the Tim Tebow situation. Anybody apoplectic on the NFL live set there. Yeah. Um, yeah, I was not. I tried to be very clear about this. Not no one's angry, Okay? I'm not angry at 20 to 10. People can pursue whatever dream he wants. I'm still making terrible paintings in the hopes that you know that flies down my path at some point I am angry, not angry, but I'm critical of urban Meyer. This to me reeks of bad management, and we're talking about a guy who the primary concern around her mother's not whether he coached football. It's whether he could manage an NFL team he comes in, he hires a strength coach out of Iowa. Chris Doyle, who was, you know left town because of accusations of racist behavior. That backfires immediately and how he pulled this stunt. It just feels like like running a college team is like running a mom and pop. Right, whereas running in an assault team is like being a CEO. This feels like mom and pop behavior, and that's what put me off. Yeah, I'm with you on it. I but I don't know. It's one of those where he's cibo lives. What three doors down from urban They have so much success together like how does how does urban say no to Tim Tebow? Hey, says I'm the now running an NFL team, and you're 33 years old and you haven't taken a snap since 2012 when you know mean Occam's had yet to do sports radio like this is not much do role playing here, your urban again and I and I don't know. Okay. You wait. You want Toby to Bo? No, No, I want to be urban. Okay, So hey, Hey, Coach. Um, I'm having a barbecue. I'd love for you to come by and I wanted to talk to you about something. Um I'm kind of thinking that not kind of thinking I want to come and play football, but I want to play tight end for you. Him. The surgery. You don't have to call me coach anymore. Our relationship. You'll always be my coach, and you know that coach I do know that I'm just trying to help you. Um, you are incredibly successful. You make a bazillion dollars to be a Nikon. Too many people. You're on television. You're writing books. You don't wanna block for my team That's probably not gonna win the 50,000 him. You don't want to be mocked because you've never caught a pass before. In the NFL, or you little really, I mean, can this is not really what you want. It sounds like you miss being part of the team. So why don't you come on As an assistant? You can hang out of the locker room. You can give rousing pregame speeches. Um, you know, I'll give you a dear oiling, Coach. Coach. Hold my non alcoholic beer. I'm gonna take off my shirt and I want you to see how jacked I am. Okay. Let me up my offer. Tim, You're not just an assistant. You're the get back, Coach. Use those guns to hold me back on the sideline. Just like we have in college. It's like shamans. They has that strength guy. You could be that guy for me, and then you'll get a ton of camera time, too. But you know that I work out harder than anybody in the game means so much to me, eh? I'm gonna give you a Tebow time all the time. Any time you wanted I'm gonna be there. I can get you tickets to a Mets game. I am going to be there for you, Coach. I will never fail you. And you know that..

They're actually not yours, Dr Emmons says. After figuring out which dragons you have you work on strategies to tame them and bring any anxiety you may have under control. Some of those strategies are really quite simple, too. For instance, doctor Ayman tells me that he starts every day by saying out loud to himself. Today is going to be a great day, he says. By doing that he's telling his brain that it really is going to happen. He also ends every day by answering a simple question. What went right today. This, he says, keeps your thoughts positive. "The Heisman Trophy winner? Devante Smith? What kind of pro? Do you think he's gonna make? Similar to Mack Jones in the sense that I think he's more dynamic. He's probably more NFL ready. He's a complete receiver. But with that lack of size and the stunt that he pulled the Senior Bowl. I don't think he's a good receiver for every single offense. I think if you're cold weather offense, you may shy away if you you know, you like to run the ball a lot. And you want your receivers to block downfield. A lot of the Baltimore Ravens, you may shy away from him. I think in Atlanta Falcons offense, the thousands who obviously don't need another issue, but that's sort of offense. Maybe even what the Miami Dolphins are trying to do. I think he'd be a very good fit. And the stunt that you're talking about. You're talking about him, refusing to be measured at the Senior Bowl. Not only just measured, but why did he even show up Because he didn't practice? You know, he took a roster spot and he went there and basically did nothing so not being measured was You know major blemish, but then he doesn't show up the practices, which I just thought was just really a bad public relations move. Yeah, we and we're for an Alabama player. I mean, like you think you know, coming on the next savings program. You'd be pretty buttoned down from that respect. Absolutely. Especially since you know his quarterback was there. You know, perform well. He had his left tackle there in Alex Leatherwood, who performed the offensive tackle. Brown was there and, you know, Granted, this was a different year in the sense that you didn't have. Hands. They're watching Senior bowl practices. But usually the Alabama players are the highlight of senior Well practices obviously is and reasons the event takes place in Alabama. But when he had all those other times even is running back a guy even the running back now Jay Harris, who measured in and then took a few reps here in there at practice. When he really didn't have to. It was just a bad move all around by the van to Smith. Hey, uh, Tony that we had several opt outs this year of guys that are viewed as his high draft picks. How did the How did the opt out? How did their decision to opt out or has it? Affected their draft stock either positively negatively or no effect at all. Well, I don't think it's going to affect anybody positively and only in the sense that these guys didn't get heart because they weren't on the field, but I think it depends on the player in the position. You can't broad brush it a guy like Penny Sewell of Oregon. I don't think it really affected him anyway. One shape or another. He's a terrific left tackle prospect. He's athletic. He was highly graded coming into the season, so I don't think a guy like that. Um, it's going to affect other guys will have to wait and see. My own personal point of view is guys like Michael Parsons of Penn State's celebs? Farley of the cornerback from Virginia Tech, I think is gonna have a negative effect on them. Parsons is a guy who's a great athlete. He's an explosive player, but his instincts or suspects Harley is a cornerback that showed flashed ability since his freshman season getting never put together one consistent year where we just basically dominated the opposition, and I think I've seen people talk about him as a top 15 pick. I don't agree with that on Lee because of the fact that he was very streaky at Virginia Tech, and I thought he really needed to play this season. Where the strength of this particular draft in the 1st and 2nd round Tony what? What positions of the positions of strength. Quarterback as we you spoke about earlier. I like the receiver class. I don't think it's his death at the lower end. But when you're talking about the first, you know 100 picks. I think it's very strong. I think it is a very strong offensive tackle class really strong, offensive tackle class. I think you know if you get caught. If you get past Kyle pitch is gonna be a very early selection. I think there is some good death at the at the tight end position and day two. Who are a few names that really helped themselves out at the senior Bowl of guys. Maybe you have any of you mentioned back Jones earlier. Who are some other guys that maybe were a little off the radar, but they've all of a sudden put themselves in the conversation to be in the mix, you know, moved up a day in the draft. Let's say Yeah, I think guys that were kind of off the radar outside the scouting community, Dwayne Eskridge. The smaller but explosive receiver out of western Michigan on Lee practice two days because he suffered a pectoral injury on day three but could not be stopped. I mean, he was separating from defenders every which way possible through his route, running with his speed down the field that was consistently 3 to 4 yards behind opponents. Any quote, everything thrown His direction. Obviously, the talk of the town has been Quinn miners, the small school guard from Wisconsin Whitewater who was absolutely dominant, I mean, basically had a alley market type of performance. Ali Market, the offensive lineman from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who's that was Super Bowl champion. Went to the senior ball about six years ago and destroyed everybody. That's what Quinn miners did pass rushing drills run blocking. I mean top level talent, which is burying them day after day. Think Richie Grant, the safety from Central Florida also elevated his play. You know, the senior ball is you sort of like the combine you go to the Senior Bowl with expectations. And if you beat those expectations, you come out of it with the higher draft grade than when you went in, and that's what Richard granted because people thought his ball skills were suspect, and he was intercepting past day after day in the middle of the field out on the flanks. Really showed himself to be a complete safety. Does the lack of a combine. Did that AMP up the importance of the Senior bowl for a lot of these guys? Absolutely no doubt about it. I mean, really, the senior Bowl except for the whole of all, which had some decent talent there, but overall was nothing compared to the Senior Bowl. When you really get down to it. The Senior Bowl was the on Lee major free draft event that's going to take place this year. The shrine game No combine We hope we get a bunch of pro days, although we don't know what that's going to look like, so absolutely. And I mean in some cases I mentioned Quinn miners. There were some guys who opted out of season You'd mention the opt out before it. Nico Collins and the receiver from Michigan and every Thomas, the cornerback from Michigan. It was the only chance that a lot of these guys are the first time that the guys have played football competitive football in more than a year, so absolutely was incredible importance on the Senior Bowl this year. A lot of the Baltimore Ravens, you may shy away from him. I think in Atlanta Falcons offense, the thousands who obviously don't need another issue, but that's sort of offense. Maybe even what the Miami Dolphins are trying to do. I think he'd be a very good fit. And the stuff that you're talking about. Stand there watching senior bowl practices. But usually the Alabama players are the highlight of senior will practice is obviously is and reasons the event takes place in Alabama. But when he had all those other times even is running back a guy even the running back now. Jay Harris, who Measured in and then took a few reps here in there and practice when he really didn't have to. It was just a bad move all around by the van to Smith. Hey, uh, Tony, that we had several opt outs this year of guys that are viewed as is high draft picks. I don't agree with that on Lee because of the fact that he was very streaky and Virginia Tech and I thought he really needed to play this season. Where the strength of this particular draft in the 1st and 2nd round Tony what positions of the positions of strength. Quarterback as we spoke about earlier. I like the receiver class. I don't think it's his death at the lower end. But when you're talking about the first, you know, 100 fixed. Maybe you have any. Um, You mentioned Mac Jones earlier. Obviously, the talk of the town has been Quinn miners, the small school guard from Wisconsin Whitewater who was absolutely dominant, I mean, basically had a alley market type of performance Alley market, the offensive lineman from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who's that with Super Bowl champion? Went to the senior ball about six years ago and destroyed everybody. That's what Quinn miners did pass rushing drills run blocking. I mean top level talent. He was just burying them day after day. Think Richie Grant, the safety from Central Florida also elevated his play. You know, the senior ball is you sort of like to combine you go to the Senior Bowl with expectations. And if you beat those expectations, you come out of it with the higher draft grade than when you went in, and that's what Richard granted because people thought his ball skills were suspect, and he was intercepting past day after day in the middle of the field out on the flanks. Really showed himself to be a complete safety. Does the lack of a combine to that AMP up the importance of the Senior bowl for a lot of these guys? Absolutely no doubt about it. I mean, really, the senior Bowl except for the Hula Bowl, which had some decent talent there, but overall was nothing compared to the Senior Bowl. When you really get down to it. The senior Bowl was the only major Redraft event that's going to take place this year. No Shrine game No combine. We hope we get a bunch of pro days, although we don't know what that's going to look like, so absolutely. "Yeah, no doubt about it. Let's move to the wide receivers for bed because no question for for day one. Some things. You just remind you. This is day water practices. I thought Dwayne Eskridge was clearly the star out there at a western Michigan. He caught everything thrown at him. He did. I thought I thought Tyler Wallace was a lot closer to him than maybe other people's hands. Stay. Yeah, don't come state. I thought he was phenomenal. I thought those two were clearly the stars. Of the first practice. I both those guys caught everything I saw thrown at him. They surround had a really nice catch down the left. There were some. There were some flashes of the other guys had the kid from San Jose State playing tight, and I thought that looked all right. Um, but you know, I overall I thought that I thought those two were kind of the stars of the show. On that side. The only receiver on the The only receiver on the other squad that really just came flying off the page at me was shot Smith. I thought he looked phenomenal. Yeah, There's Ah. I mean, there's there's a lot of talent out here. It's a little bit different than was last year. I felt like me a lot more name recognition, But there are certainly some guy's butt again. We'll get to the American team and I think begins far superior talent. A wide receiver of the superior quarterback, you're 100%, right. What you said. If the American team doesn't win this game coming up, it's gonna be a little bit of a massive let down. It would be getting out coached with and when you only have, like 12 plays that that's a problem. Yeah, those. Ah, big problem. Anything else stand out to you? I thought, you know, I'm trying to look through some of the names on here. Whether or not they were talking about Dillon. Read it. See the officer Lyman? Yeah. You mentioned him. Um, you know again, and I got limited exposure with the old line D line because I didn't figure like that was gonna be a big focus for the Broncos. Kind of even though the receiver's probably won't be the DBS probably will. Um, So you know, we got a good chance to talk, Tomo. You know, some friends that are inside these other organizations and what their plans are and, you know, talk to Ah, the body of the Raiders and you know they're talking about how their focus is really gonna be on the defensive secondary as well. So you know, if you're the Broncos, and you're looking at DVDs you got to remember in the division you're gonna have people that are also focused on that might be focused on some of the same prospects. Nicole Collins very quickly a guy that was expected to be not that year, but he was expected to be kind of a bit of Ah, dominant force out here. Thought the underneath stuff was ah, little rough at times, but when he got going when he got a little ahead of speed Hey, obviously showed up his elite athleticism again. Not a guy that the Broncos are necessarily gonna be targeting. But Nico Collins is kind of unheralded player. I hear that people wanted to see what he was gonna be able to do, and No, that's kind of look like Shaka Tony had a struggling day for Penn State helicopter shed also did not have a great day, as far as I was concerned, but we'll see what they do. On day two where we come back, we'll get to the American team that is next on Broncos country Tonight. Ko in his radio they started using when I was 13 Taylor is in recovery from.

"Your career. He doesn't have experience on defensive side of the ball dating back to high school. But It's just a little bit different. You know, at this level were you trying to try to go the NFL? So, um, I like him. I think he showed some flashes to place. A real smart guy picks things up quick, but he's gonna have to develop the technique. He's gonna have to become a technician at his position. It hasn't really done that yet. Um, you know, um, a sore point out that he's you know, you had to cover for some guys on the A Defense. It was kind of bereft of talent, but you know, you also have to do the things that make you great your position as well. And you know, there's some of those things that he's not done yet like to see a good solid week out of practice out of him, didn't think didn't think he was necessarily in the plus column on day one? No, I didn't either. I wanted to see more from Baron Browning as well from Ohio State. That's a guy that I'm really excited about watching out your Are now not my top inside linebacker, but he's definitely of the group that's out there for the national team. He's the guy that I'm most excited about Hilliard. I'm kind of curious a little bit, but that's more of a day. Three guy in my opinion stuff in this format. It is tough for off ball, linebackers and running backs to really make a splash because the things that you're doing On do things that you're trying not to do like, you know, you're not allowed to really blitz you know in this game, and they don't practice that there's really only a couple of different coverage shells on S O. You know, there's there's not really a non opportunity You don't wanna hurt. You know, nobody likes to hurt each other because you're all making business decisions and in the sense that you're you're about to go pro and make money, so nobody wants to hurt anybody out here. And so that's that's why it's tough. It's really is tough to kind of those. Those Awful linebackers from running backs and and speaking of tough, you know, top Borland. It Z, another Ohio State guy. What we call a Segway the best. I think that you know, it is another guy got you got your eye on, but it's tough to evaluate some of these guys within the confines of what it is that you do here. No doubt. All right, so let's get to the DBS vs wide receivers today. That was kind of a grabby day for these young DVDs early on, I thought buying them at a cow didn't have a great day. He's the one that dropped one of the interceptions. And, you know, overall, just thought he kind of came into the day. Like, you know, I know again, super grabby. Just the best way to describe it. They seemed like they were kind of getting the receivers were getting the best of them almost from the get Yeah. You don't want to sit here and dump on a kid, but he got work today. He got worked just about everybody he squared off against it was it was not a good day for him. I'm hoping, you know, And sometimes you'll see that sometimes you'll see a guy come in. They want to just have a bad day. And then by the third day, all the Southern showing out, you know, so that hoping that he turns it around. I thought the kid from Oregon look good look physical. He was giving up free release on the inside, though, that bug me like every time if the receivers figured out pretty quick They couldn't they couldn't manage. They couldn't go outside. But inside released they were about Thomas Graham. Yeah, they were able to get inside release on him, and that was something else. I thought Tony Brown and Oklahoma was little grabby. Although he did get the interception later, he was sloppy in his technique. Trey Brown does that like that's that's what I noticed about him Like when I was watching before we came out here is like so wildly inconsistent. He'll make some big plays. Three straight years of making big huge plays in the big 12 championship games. But otherwise, the rest of his tape is kind of just like, you know, it's okay. I mean, you know, present right? I mean, but the rest of it like, but he makes some place, you know, And that's where You have to go, I guess. Ask yourself, Okay. What is he? More of? And what's this Edna here? Yeah. And so can I kind of get consider us a level of consistency from him. And then he could be a game changer eventually for me, because he's got that his DNA's a, You know, like, that's what you're looking for, right? And you know, he was one that you know, right off the bat. We noticed he was being grabby. Um oh, yeah, kind of watching that kind of stuff here holding the jersey Susie. And it's interesting to me like which which These guys are out here trying to showcase the fact that they're good corners and which guys right here, playing not to get embarrassed. And that's that's really what that's about. You know, that means you don't believe in yourself. You know if you're out there doing that early on, you don't believe in yourself. You believe this guy could beaches so you don't wanna get embarrassed out here? So you're doing that rather than believing? Conversely, I thought my God mellow father didn't it wouldn't grab you much at all. No, and he didn't get before the price. He didn't slip down once and one happy, But you know a. That's a guy that believes in himself. That's a guy says I'm not here to win. I'm not here to. You know, I'm out here because I believe in myself. I'm not out here. I get embarrassed. I'll come back and went on the next play. Well, I think the DB talent of the American team visits is your two different squads. The Carolina Panthers are coaching a team that is vastly More talented. So if if they don't win the game, the actual game which is nil for the evaluation process, it would be a stunner. Yeah, no doubt about it. Let's move to the wide receivers for bed because no question for for day one. Just remind you this is day water practices. I thought Dwayne Eskridge was clearly the star out there at a western Michigan. He caught everything thrown at him. He did. I thought I thought Tyler Wallace was a lot closer to him.
