I know they're going to do it. I don't I don't know how to void it other than put actual license plus on the car that's out of the question. I had my dealer plates for a year and a half and I have no intention of doing anything about it. Other was pulled over immediately also been pulled over on the way LAX at six in the morning. So we're pinning new quarter. Now man, I I couldn't figure a way out now and there isn't there really isn't if the guy who yelled as men? A ticket he'd be required to stop listening to the show. Dare he so. So when the neighbors, who were out front were talking to me, they're like, I could see got I got I got a ticket, and they're like the mom was kind of pissed, like what are they doing? You know what I mean? Don't they better things to do because they go all the way down to the end of this point where there's no crime, and then they just hand out kicking? And by the way, these ain't meter maids in three wheel cushman's. These are guy, bribing loaded Ford, shotguns, this are sheriff's like these aren't the guys, you want doing the chicken shits stuff. I was getting ready for too low and other events, and I ran forty miles in one direction to town that usually cycle through there overnight. Great restaurants, cool little places and then ran back the next day. I know that's yeah. What back forty? Crete the adventure like run ten bites somewhere, or, you know, bike somewhere swim the next day by the third day back or, you know, so that's what I I don't like to have too many structured aspects to my training. I like to create mini adventures all the time. And I think if more people did that and their community and understanding their immediate environment better. They'll enjoy the training in a completely different process again. Yeah. That was one of the things that you encourage me to do when I was training for Alterman is to when when that long bike or that long run distance that I'd never done before came up to make it like create a route that would be exciting and interesting that would be a point to point. So a I can't bag out. But also to make it like an adventure in and of itself. And I remember I mean, it was transformative. I I'd never run such a great. Distance in that had that forty. I think it was a forty mile run that you put on a on the on the schedule. So I decided to run from Venice to point Dume back like a long PCH, which is not the best at vice in terms of like a road to run on. But it made it like super epic like run along the like 'cause you might because you can see point. So we sent him to me. And I started playing them. And I went in my studio and the autumn attic writing thing kicked in I picked up, and I get tar and the only way I can describe it. It was like an instrumental surf melody, but from the sixties JAMES BOND movie kinda spooky and I had these signals playing and I was playing along with the signals to a click track, and then my band came in and they went, wow, what is that? And we put the rest of the instruments the drums. And that all of the keyboards and everything to it and finish this song with the signals in it. And I called it signals from Malibu. So I was talking to a security guard had one of the casinos here, and he was Schumer Nash Indian and I played there. And he said, oh, I know all about your older recordings. In fact, I have your return to move how about that? Yeah. That kind of blew my mind, and he said, what are you working on now, and I told him and he got this big grin on his face. And he said, you know, our tribe has known about that building he called it a building underwater there, and he said. When the ocean was down. They used to use it like appear to fish off. And I'm just going. That's how this is really something. And so, you know, he said that it it had been there for all of these years. And he said it was built by the people that were here before. Ass. And I somehow I started thinking this is gotta have something to do with a lost continent of MU I just thought of that. And when I lived in Woodland Hills. But again, we've had those gusts especially up in Ventura County that tend to trigger these little micro fires around some of the main. Fire areas that we are looking at right now most of the areas looking at about ten to twenty mile per hour northeast win, but against these little areas around Camarillo that we are seeing the winds occasionally Gusta over thirty forty miles an hour. But I think we will even notice improvement by Tuesday evening as our flow starts to relax a little bit out of the northeast and then later in the week, better news, more of an onshore flow coming off the ocean, and that will help humidifier the air and help reduce the fire danger somewhat any help would certainly be welcome back to you. "Forty dot com, keyword Sunday. But I know that the fairgrounds has a bunch of alpacas and horses and other animals, and I think there's still some room, but one of the issues also that I keep hearing is folks are trying to you know, where do you go? Some people are blessed that they have family. They can go to but other folks. Don't and they're trying to find a room. In fact, I have to tell you a story. Oh my God. So Thursday night. We were just literally wrapping up our show or newscast on the shooting massacre. So my photographer, and I were ready to drive back to LA when we get that emergency alert on your phone that it buzzes like it's the end of the world, right? And you look down, and I looked at I looked at the. I looked at the phone, and I looked at my photographer, Victor, and Victor, you know, we got a call the newsroom, so we did and said, hey, we will go check out oak park. They were evacuating all of oak park. And so we suited up. I mean, I had my fire here with me, and we suit up into our fire. Here's one o'clock in the morning now, so instead of going home because you've been working since morning time we went out to oak park, and it was insane. The winds were blowing so strong. The power was going out of this entire neighborhood. We were awful enduro canyon road. Embers were flying everywhere. I mean fifty foot flames. It was awful. I couldn't see how to put on goggles. And my my mask your wearing your fire gear, and the families are trying to get out we stopped at a gas station, and people are just panicked. I mean, it was filled with cars, it's again, it's one thirty in the morning, and I was so concerned about our elderly. You know, there was a woman. She was eighty five years old by herself in her car. So long. I had a cane and said I need gas. But I don't know what to do where am I supposed to go. And I said, ma'am, you know, where's your family like myself? I don't know if I go to go north to go south, and I don't have any money is she needed gas. And I'm like, oh my God. Thank you, Victor, Vargas, my photographer. God bless him. I I did not have cash on me. I just had a credit card. So he gave her like twenty bucks without. Let's hope this gets you somewhere. But I mean, this is what this is where I think honestly as community we have to help each other out and keep an eye out for our most vulnerable. You know what I mean? So important, I think we have a caller right now a Mike in Malibu heading towards point dune. Is that right, Mike? Good morning. Welcome to Sunday morning with Elizabeth Spinosa. As a gone, I'm headed back towards point. And I'm on pepper line campus right now. So that I can get around now. Isn't the ashes awful at house wind? There's hardly any way. And it's very calm. Actually. So. It's covered on canvas going getting ready to go towards on John Tyler because this is a very last area where you get cell service. That's been a huge issue because there's so many rumors about what's going on. And I just came back out here after my family and evacuated in downtown LA last night where backyard from. We live on point Dume in the point Dume mobile home park. Okay. Of the three hundred units there. Three units all units that are on the backside near Westwood beach. Okay. An owl landed on stop side. Oh, no. It's it's really something else out there, isn't it? Well, I am. So glad. We live service. There's quite a few people out on point Dume, and it's really actually very calm. There's three or at least four or five people in the park that are there. One woman. Put out a fire between my fence in my neighbors fence at some point. Yesterday at about five o'clock and achy not done it edgy. The park may have caught on fire. Thank you. Lisa. She put it out for. But I don't know how long that she got it out. And then it came back again. And so she got the firefighters to move over. And to put that out, but my we live in the point Dume club. But we have a rental property that burned on doomed drive along with at least. I think about six houses. Drive, but right across the canyon, my friend rod and a number of other houses were completely spared because the wind was blind like this northeast wind blowing. Yeah. Boeing toward Dr house, right, Mike, that's the issue. And that's the thing. I folks have to just keep in mind because I've been on every fire. I kid you not for the last twenty years, and it is incredible. How lake it's a matter of seconds at all of a sudden shift will change we got stock actually in the news van and had a shelter in place because we were fine with a fire crow and all of us had had us like stay in place because at some point you just turned around. But my think we're up against. No, no, no, no, no. This is in the past. But thank you. And please, please stay safe. We're gonna be taking more calls. We're up against a break right now. So we'll be right back Sunday morning with Elizabeth Spinoza KFI AM six forty Mary Kay. What's the latest? "Lead local live from the KFI. Twenty four hour newsroom. I'm Michael shipping. AM six forty as we are. Continuing our coverage of the fires the Wolsey fire the hill. Fire more specifically, the southern California fires also we'll have updates and information on the campfire in northern California. You've been listening to Michael this has been declared a emergency and also nine people have perished in this fire. The most destructive in California history. Someone who was on the ground who was in Malibu an area, which we've not discussed at this point is KFI's own Corbin. Carson need joins me corporate. How are you today? What a week from election today. What a week. There's a lot riding California. Yeah. There's a lot going on in California. And a lot of not a lot of good news. But I'm quite sure. The during your time in Malibu today, you are encouraged by what you saw in many respects where you not. I was I mean, it was a little bit of a rebuild. But you know, I spent a good portion of today and yesterday in Malibu, I mean, I trying to get their been watching people spend hours trying to escape and then others who just stayed watching the fire approach like this towering inferno than today. Driving to an different an entirely different looking Malibu's, cloudy and empty and eerie several places north of Pepperdine university towards point Dume were completely burned all the way to the ocean. And as usual with you know, fires fickle finger of fate. If you will some houses were destroyed others the burn scar came inches away, but left multimillion dollar homes. Untouched. And you know today was the relaxed Wedneday we still have tomorrow through Tuesday to come not everyone is familiar with the terrain of Malibu or how difficult it is possibly to get in and to get out. So if you could. Paint a picture of what residents were up against in terms of evacuations or just trying to get back to their homes to make sure that they were still. Oh, okay. Well, the people that no one can get back. I mean, unless you unless you really talked your way into pass the several roadblocks most a PCH is still locked down. So the people that are out are out, and and, you know, lots of people stayed, but you know, PCH is the only you only vein Malibu is like twenty miles stretch of thin stretch along the ocean there. And so the only way out was this, you know, four lane highway and people were only using two lanes. You know, all the traffic going one way away from the big smoke that was coming in the other day. And you know, I I ran into this guy. I mean who who took me all around the neighborhood today, and it was right behind Eskin Dido canyon, which is like again near point Dume towards the north where the fire exploded. And you heard some pieces of of my interview with him some other pieces during the news, but listen to him explain what it was like in Malibu last night. It was hell I mean flames and trees over our head helping put my buddies. You know, trees out. So that his house in Vernon every one of them one by one one by one scoring back and forth throwing up from too much in relation embers everywhere. Did you ever imagine something like this would happen? I've grown up my whole life like this..

"To return before the end of the weekend and last through Tuesday. So the red flag warning is extended for LA and Ventura counties until then it is still on track to expire at ten farther inland places like Orange County and the inland empire. The western end of west hills in Los Angeles is under mandatory evacuation orders this evening that includes everything west valley circle boulevard to the north at Roscoe and to the south at then no one St. all of Malibu all of Malibu is under a mandatory evacuation. Order people that city hall left to sitting spokesman Matt Meyerhoff tells Kat acts the evacuation process has been smooth so far he says people in the community are used to wildfires. Doesn't mean that people aren't scared and nervous about this. And some homes are burning in Malibu, which is tragedy. I haven't heard anything about anybody panicking, people are moving very slowly. While the traffic signals are out, which is making things go but slower Meyerhoff says wildfires are the top public safety threat in the city. Let's go live to Malibu or refined. KNX ten seventy s Margaret Carrero. I am just watching fine homes just up in flames here in the point area. I actually within point Dume club the mobile home park 'cause I'm overlooking wander MIR road from here. Multiple homes along wander mirror as far as I can heading out towards better on fire. There's a gully in here like a little earlier today are still burning but that has kept these flames from getting over two point Dume club. Although there were a couple of mobile homes that were lost here. But there's three hundred in here show that at least is a good thing. Devastating for those you lost it. But no more than two I understand possibly three. I heard from someone who lives I have been unable to confirm that be self. But again wandering near roads and do just below. It has been burning for quite some time multiple homes, lots of smoke still and still that just that's ominous orange glow up in the sky, and the winds you're talking a lot. There are still some wins you and they're blowing out to the west towards the ocean. Which is again, keeping the fire from jumping over that gully coming over here to pointing clubs. So that is certainly good news for the people live here. Many of them evacuated down to Zuma beach and are like. You're going to be spending the night in the team up there. I saw some areas where people can bring their large animals and makes a shelves on here. Just after I get off the air with you and kind of going on around reporting live in Malibu, I'm Margaret, Cheryl. Studio cards. Good Margaret, thank you. Meanwhile, are Cooper Rummell is in west hills near bell canyon road where there's a tough battle against active. Flames underway Cooper. The entire hillside of L scorpion. Peak is engulfed right now. This is awesome fell canyon road about a mile in from valley circle. Large crowd has gathered here. They're just mesmerized by the massive walls, a fire that are shooting dozens of feet in the air. They charge through the thick dry brush. They're not a lot of homes on that side of the road. But there are dozens of fire crews stationed on bell canyon road. Make sure it doesn't jump the streets. Because just on the other side that road.

"Percent of our city. And that means that some of the folks that were affected by the shooting. Just a few days ago likely were asked to leave their home on top of that. Now, firefighters won't be able to set containment lines until these off shore winds settled down and there are signs of that happening. The wind advisories and high wind warnings have expired, they have not been renewed. But later this weekend. The Santa Anas are expected to pick right back up again, prompting officials to extend our red flag warning to Tuesday at sundown Malibu is taking a big hit in this. Firestorm. Homes are being destroyed the entire town under a mandatory evacuation order. Let's go live now to KNX ten seventy s Margaret Carrero. And for good reason, Brian I'm out here in the Malibu park area. And I am watching a home. It's on merit drive near Bush drive, and it is just a raging inferno right now. The flames are show hot and show intense. I shot him light up a tree nearby like a blow torch. It's just the most unbelievable thing to see here pretty dangerous out in this area. I tried to go one direction on Bush driver couldn't get through. Because some power lines are down across the roadway. I've been out over at the point Dume area, which has not had fire ever reach it. According to the people I've spoken to you and many many homes on doom. Dr wander roads are on fire as we speak. There are crews on both of those streets trying to do whatever they possibly can to salvage whatever they can. But the fires are just raging out of control right now when I was over at point Dume earlier to wins were still glowing. They're blowing out towards the ocean. Which was good news for the mobile home park. That's just to the north of both of those streets up here in the Malibu park area. The wind is blowing. But it's certainly not like it was full your today. That's you Brian. You mentioned Margaret that point Dume that people living there a long time. So they they can never recall ever seeing fire reached that area. So I did they really know how to handle it did they know what to do while they last? I mean, they they understood the threat, and and they left. But yeah, I the gentleman that I spoke to walk with him to check on his house, which had burned to the ground. And he said he's lived there. Forty five years. And this is the first time speech has reached the point. And while he was devastated. He's like, you know, gonna rebuild KNX ten seventy s Margaret corral there with that live report in Malibu. Meanwhile, more homes destroyed today in Westlake village as that wall of fire was pushed by powerful relentless when gusts all day in Westlake village firefight largely from the air. I watched it unfold with people who defied the mandatory evacuation order people who live on saddle tree drive. Yeah..

"Normally when you get a collection of young players like that, this would be the season that we expect them to make a leap. Yup, except we have no idea what to expect Marquel full and we learned by the end of last year. Yes, it does matter that Ben Simmons refuses to shoot. We don't know if he will shoot let alone whether he can shoop. So yes, are they legit contender to take on the Celtics? One would think, but they have so many unanswered questions in a way that feels strange. You know that I am a licensed pastor in the church of the Sixers. We went to Sixers Celtics, playoff games. You've heard me curse and fire many people on this organization, and it is because this organization is hinged on Ben Simmons, who we don't know if he can shoot and Markelle faults. And we don't know if he is close to shooting. Now, the good news for the Sixers team that Marquel Foltz has been the. Cleared, starting shooting guard. Now we have to figure out if that is done to bolster his way. He's the shooting shooting guard Simmons playing point, Dume scared to show he. We are behind Marquel Foltz as the shooting guard per Brown. So this is where the Sixers seem to be going, maybe not all in a toe in on Marquel Foltz. And if that is bet that pays off. This is a different team. But I think the other thing also Joel Embiid is not a guy will be learning Celtics health hor can't put you on his Bank in that way that they may come. But that day was not the land. Disgusting. All right, nicknames von says, birth Bank of bags under league review for delivering elbow to Antonio Brown's head on Sunday, and the Steelers speaking out off as a live in Marcus Gilbert, sick quote, a guy like that. Going out there to intentionally try to hurt people. He should be suspended for that hit Apollo Chevanton birth be suspended for this hit. You look at this. There's the, oh, that would be the elbow to the back of the head. Literally, no, good reason. I looked like he was trying to get him into shoulder and then went up to head because it looked like he hit him there first, but what do you have? Yeah, I was suspend him and it's because we have a history of violence with verdict, and notably after this play which you know he could say he was trying to angle it where the other, whatever. What after this plague goes to the line of scrimmage and points juju Smith Schuster says your next, and now we know from people who remember von days back at Arizona state, he likes the point of people. He likes to threaten the network news of the world. That's what he does. But when he says your next after he can cut his apparently guy that you can suss concussed before in two thousand seventeen. This guy seems to be wiling out in ways that are not supposed to have. Yeah. I mean, this is who he is like the thing about him when people look say, Marvin Lewis, and that's. To play from the playoffs. When people talk about, say more of a Louis, like, why don't you get that guy under control? That's not how that works with him. Like they made the deal that they were going to have the great maniac linebacker. He is great writing Lee if he is allowed to be maniac, but it can't keep doing this. I think it's been established that they cannot continue to do this is unlikely to be suspended for this. He will probably wind up being fine, but I've amazed at the idea that he was out there every day, knowing people looking at him on every single play, and he's just like what I do and juju Smith Schuster said, you know, this was the most physical game I've ever played. That's what the Bengals wanted from him. This isn't a bug. It is feature of the Bontes birth program. And so if you're trying to change him, yeah, maybe wide receiver should form a union and say, all those quarterbacks are being protected. How about us guys over the middle, getting helmets, though I have shot build it. This is not one that will get them suspended elbow to the back of the. High noon is brought to you by marathon, fueling the American spirit..
