Help! My Face is Aging Asymmetrically

"Hi can door love the pod. I'm writing because i'm territory manager for about four years and spend a lot of time in my car driving between many locations like many of us dudakovic. I had not seen photos of myself in quite some time until this weekend in the photo i notice the left side of my face. Driver's side is starting to droop. Slash age more quicker than my right side and it was very noticeable to me. Compared to photos pre covid been working out in the field during this pandemic. I do wear sunscreen. Every day in the summer. I will admit i need to be better during winter. But i'm curious if you have any advice or product rex when only one side slash part of your face slash body is aging faster than the rest realistically. I will be in this job real for at least another few years and only thirty years old any advice would be appreciated. Hope you have a great week. Okay so dory. What are your thoughts. Well i have noticed that. I have more Freckles slash age spots on the left side of my face. ama- driver's side. Yes i am. Also someone who wear sunscreen religiously. But i have noticed this and i'm assuming that that is the cause okay so i had a couple of thoughts one is you said droopy and i wasn't totally sure what you meant but it also made me wonder. Are you sleeping on that side. Because i'd be curious to hear what happens when you start sleeping on your back which is hard if you're not a back sleeper. But it sounds like you might be aside sleeper on your left side. So i can cause the face vaccine caused the face drooping so it might not be just a car. That was my first thought. My second thought is wear sunscreen in the winter where all year round. Don't just wear it in the summer. It should be part of your morning. Skin care routine and you should reapply it throughout the day multiple times. A day ashley since you're in the car so much but don't keep it in the car because it's sensitive to heat. So keep it. In your bag and reapply it. Maybe maybe like every time you get out of the car and get back into the car. Maybe when you get back into the car. You're like okay. Reapply sunscreen keep a powder to power. That's a good idea because that you could keep the car presumably. Yes i like that kate.

The postponement was actually a relief to the celtics who as of yesterday only had eight players available themselves. Now that would have actually technically have been enough. nba season. Yes. It's both very much the same but very much more of the same, right. So like the forklift thing of your time into your airport that just keeps increasing. Certainly, we've invested aggressively in content then exclusive, the crater side of this landscape has changed in a direction that we wanted to change but I would also agree with that we're on the consumer experience and what's so interesting about audio is it feels like you have this cheat, which is what happened in video. We just haven't done one station in the twentieth century way yet we have no interactivity. You can really just look at the other media industries and see what's missing innocence. Edison Research, which publishes a lot of the leading work and studying podcasting behavior. They argued a few things last year one that one of the major inflection points in podcasting interestingly came through spotify because of the streaming and that brought in kind of a new generation of users to the other argument they made, and this is course pre. A lot of the content acquisitions is that for new generation, the medium of audio is really not that different than video that in fact, for a lot of people their. Default podcast player is often a video app or just turning off the visuals and listening, and so I'm curious for your guys thoughts on where audio and video, which is another big trend do and don't intersect both from a trend perspective and a product development perspective, and then we can dig deeper and other aspects. I mean video Israeli, just a combination using your ears and your it's the audio visual, which means the stakes actually higher for audio because if I can't have like twenty second gap of silence. And a podcast and expect you to be okay with it. But in a video, you can go quiet and might just be some visual distraction and you don't have to be on as much every second. and. So it's still a different mediums, but I do think steaks and audio are higher. So I think that when you talk about audio, it's different things depending on the type of audio actually. So you have a foreground audio which is more similar to video. It is the main activity you're doing you really concentrating requires most of your attention. Then you have background audio like you listening to music the actually paying attention to something completely. Different you're working out or you're studying or something right. So there are these different modes of audio that don't exist in video mostly all your attention or you're doing something else right. This is also the benefit of audio. That's why it's so much engagement because they have both foreground moments and background moments. But even in the foreground moments when you're paying full attention, you can still do other things you can drive you can do this is. Walk around the house, right so it is this other mode that video doesn't cover. That's why we think it is almost as much engagement ask program video. But not nearly value the same yet and that's not because it's less valuable. We think that's because it's undervalued. You can think about it the other way as well. You have some video that actually works quite well as audio that you can background that you watch every now and then Rogan for example, it certainly has video right and that actually does help the user experience, but it is what we call background video or. Audio? If you want to call dot

"Mention that they're doing that in the DC metro area I'm aware. The transportation system is a little bit. Here. It is I've been on it too. Many other metro, major metro cities. But even abroad, they have digital You know they were already doing this already and other countries where you can just literally just tap your phone in you can reload as well, and you just be able to go to work because they see the. BIS is literally. This is your lifeline you know back in the day when I was younger, you knew everybody's phone about heart now if you get stopped by the police. This they take it from you. What are you GonNa do you also? What we were living in an age where the digital wallet or you know it's it's everything you say so we're already having the APPS but it's not necessarily. Maybe, we can go away from the it'll be already built into the phone. Shall we say whether it Lt Samsung Nokia or? Apple. Hard. Last one out. That way. And you really New York there some slim has the same type of Samsung Apple pay as well for for the subway chains. Even if you go now, you can see it when you go to like. Or somewhere, you can just tap your phone on the paint system. So you don't necessarily have to type in anything. So it's definitely headed in that direction in especially. What's going on Kovin I think that we'll definitely steered towards more wireless hands-free know minimal type of interfaces that we have to. Daily so. They're doing it now. Definitely. Doing it now because I went to a restaurant A. Fast Food Restaurant and they won't even take cash in the midtown area anymore. You literally have to download the APP and paid for everything online and I think they're due to Kobe everything is. Done Kobe everything is going to that online method went to another restaurant and we gave them cash and we didn't even get our change back like, Hey, that's a whole seventy five cent burns our chain and also. I literally told my girlfriend. As you said, that's it. You know what? Moving forward we give people cash. But then when we go to establishments, we just take it off of our debit card or you know you take it off your cash over pay. And I don't even give people cass look if you want money for me, you take it the way I give it to you. So you you need this at if you want my money gotta figure out. There it is right there. That's what I was waiting for. That's where. As Larry Select. Let me let me pivot just a little bit and we we've already touched on covert and how that's changing perception kind of changing our actions. and. That that has come up society in entertainment Dudakovic. Is the whole versus. Mentality. Don't do versus. What what? I want to call it ecosystem entertainment forum right go once. Again we lived we've always said this already live on these mobile devices they're being streamed by default to instagram live. Now, they've got that great contract with Apple. So now you can stream them to apple music, but you've got one artists one great artists against another great artists showing their catalog and I has really become a mainstay. How the Coronavirus Disrupted Food Supply Chains

"In recent weeks. The Corona virus pandemic has wreaked havoc on the nations food. Supply chains the working conditions in meat. Packing plants have led to the spread of the disease among employees forcing closures industry officials estimate about one quarter of the. Us pork processing. Industry is shut down this week. And ten percent for BEEF UNION REPS. Say At least twenty meat and food processing workers have died. Dudakovic's nineteen and the shutdowns were necessary to save lives today. President trump is expected to mandate through executive order that the nation's meat processing plants remain open. Invoking the Defense Production Act. It allows the president to control the production and distribution of critical products and supplies joining me now to bring us up to speed our agriculture reporter. Jacob Bungee so Jacob there have been some challenges in the farm sector supply chain. You've written about a few of them. Let's start with the pork industry which is now facing disruptions due to the pandemic. Can you explain what's going on? There starts with the meat plants and the spread of Cova nineteen through the workforce of these plants which oftentimes are working in close quarters sometimes shoulder to shoulder on processing lines. It's been a number of people getting sick at these plans. Some of the biggest density of Cova nineteen cases can be found in meat processing plants like Smithfield's pork plant in Sioux Falls. South Dakota for example and as workers get sick as there's more exposure and more positive cases with the workforce as of these plans. Of course people are having to stay home. That are sick. Other workers get frightened and are not coming into work. It's forced a lot of the plans to reduce production and it's also led to the closure of a number of plants and when you can't operate these plants the farmers that send hogs to them every single day to be slaughtered. Have to figure out what to do with those pigs on their farms. A lot of times. These pigs are at full size and are ready to be slaughtered but says there's no place to send them. The farmers have to figure out what to do on their farms to prevent overcrowding. And so they're looking right now at the prospect of having to euthanize thousands of these pigs just because they have nowhere to send them so when we talk about consumers and the meat supply generally. Should we be worried about shortages and prices? Going up for me. Walmart and Costco are trying to stay ahead of this. But generally speaking the supermarket chains are already planning on shortages. Some of them already are being shorted on what they're ordering from their suppliers in a lot of cases what consumers are going to see in their own stores in the meat. Sections will be a change in the sort of products that are there. You might see less of the meat that requires more processing work which is to say things like boneless products for example our products that are marinated or in some way have some additional processing done to them or additional seasoning. They're focusing on the plants where they can operate. They're focusing on the products that they can really turn out at a high volume with the least amount of staff necessary but there are going to be cases where there's just products not available. There's already that's already being seen in some stores around the country right. Now we've been hearing about supply chain challenges in the food industry for several weeks. Can you explain why it's so difficult to fix these problems? More quickly well the. Us Meat Industry is built on efficiency. And there's two channels primarily that they sell food into on the one hand you have the restaurants and the hotel chains and the big food service operations like stadiums for example and the meat companies will sell bulk meat to these sorts of customers a lot of times. It'll be packaged in giant boxes or crates. It'll be packaged with a whole bunch of Bacon Strips for example and it's not the same as taking the Bacon Strips and placing them into a lot of smaller sized packages for grocery stores for example. The production is set up to maximize efficiency. Like I said and so. They'll have entire plants that are devoted to grocery store products for example or or to restaurant products. They are trying to do. Some adjustments where for example in the chicken industry and some of the plants that are geared toward supplying restaurants there processing the chickens to a certain extent and then they can ship the carcasses or the pieces to plants that do the packaging for the retail stores and they can do a bit of adjustment to fulfill orders from the supermarkets that way but in other cases the packaging will be totally different. The product specifications will be totally different. There's other things like food. Safety standards that apply differently to these different sorts of products. And so they're trying to work their way through all of that right now but it's not as simple as just taking some bacon from a bulk package plopping it into a clear plastic bag to be sold in a grocery store. Are there any other ways that farmers are trying to adapt at this time for their own? Livelihoods well what you're seeing in some of these places that have really seen a drop off in business because the restaurants closing as people trying to get creative and sell and some cases directly to the consumers are close to that and what I mean is some chicken companies that have a good deal of their business tied up supplying things like wings and chicken tenders and so onto restaurants with that business. Being effectively stopped now in a lot of places. What you're seeing. Is these plants processing their chickens. And then boxing them up in a plane sort of box and offering to sell this to people directly in the parking lot of the plants or parking. Lots of churches seen a lot of this in the southern states where there are a lot of chicken production facilities and people are coming from all around to buy these They've had traffic jams. In some cases Wayne Farms reported people driving from one hundred miles away to come to their plant. Parking lot and buy bulk chicken in boxes. In this way there's been a lot of people a lot of jobs. Are People Lining up at foodbanks? This is another way to supply a low cost meal to people. And so you're seeing some of that. Some of these hog producers that are not able to send their hogs to the big processing plants like Smithfield for example or GPS and other big meat processor. That's had to close plants. What they're doing instead where they can is selling pigs to local butcher shops where they can be processed in a more local way and sold to people like that but the scale of stuff that can be done in that way is just nowhere near the level of processing that typically goes on at the really major meatpacking plants and and so it's only helping so much
