The Grim Sleeper Serial Killer
"From at least as early as nineteen eighty five to at least as recently as two thousand seven a serial killer lonnie david franklin junior eventually dubbed the grim sleeper roam the streets of south central los angeles where he was born and raised targeting young and particularly vulnerable. Women this killer kidnapped raped beat typically shot his victims with a small twenty five caliber semiautomatic pistol often carried in his shirt pocket. He obsessively took photos of his victims. Both dead and alive both clothed and nude often sexually explicit positions saving them as trophies and keeping them carefully tucked away in the garage behind his home where he worked his youngest victim just fifteen years old not apprehended until two thousand ten. The grim sleeper roam the streets of south central for a quarter of a century incredible. He got away considering how careless he was this murders rather than carefully hiding the remains of victims in some heavily wooded body disposal site. He typically just toss him out of his old pinto an into some urban alley. The bodies are often discovered the next morning after he killed him and he almost always shot his victims. Water were still sitting inside his car. He left so much evidence he took photos of the victim shared them with any of his friends who wanted to see him not the best way to not get caught but no one tipped police off to him and he wasn't caught for so so long. Why how nhi no human involved and h. I was a term thrown around by some lapd officers originally investigating the murders in the mid eighties when the killings began and it was used because the victims were often sex workers or all assumed to be turning tricks on side at least an all or at least nearly all of them addicted to crack cocaine and there were black. The term crackhead was thrown around a lot and hooker. It was like the victims weren't seen as humans reviewed less than human. They were black. Crackhead hookers so who cares. Nhi no human involved so no real investigative priority given but this is not going to be some lapd blame game some apathy from the lapd only partially explains why lonnie was able to keep killing for so long.

NPR's Anastasia Sulcus has this appreciation. Lee Perry got his nickname from a song he recorded early in his career chicken Scratch. Good. Someone like chicken scratch. He also called himself the upsetter. It was an apt description on many levels. He had a habit of having acrimonious splits with former mentors and artists he previously championed. You'll never get away from me. I am upset at Perry's own studio Black, Ark. He worked with many of Jamaica's biggest talents. Including junior Mervin, the hep tones, the Congo's and Bob Marley's band. The Whalers. Mr. Brown is a clown rides through town, even thoughtful. Black Ark. Was like a chemistry lab for Perry's sonic experiments. He was a pioneer of dub, underlining the base and adding reverb to create lots of oral space. He also sampled before most people knew the term or the technique used found sounds and even buried microphones underground to get the effect he wanted. Perry's partnership with the Whalers ended badly he secretly sold tapes they'd made with him to another label and kept the money. Years after building his fame studio, Perry reportedly burned it down. He was an impish, erratic presence, often in his later years, sporting neon colored hair and beard and fantastical

Delta Variant Linked to Troubling Spike in COVID Cases in Washington State
"Behind that in Western Washington. They are not number or reproductive rate of the virus is around three where below one is where you want to be to see new case numbers fall. Ironically, it's closer to two in eastern Washington, which has large areas with low vaccination rates. The delta Variant is the big contributing factor and has changed everything about the virus because it's more contagious, says Dr Ali Meqdad with UW medicine. Mark Dad says that combined with the large segment of the population, still unvaccinated will sustain this current surge. He here right now, but breaks to infections and people are saying, you know, when you get the vaccine, you may be infected, but still the bad seeds and highly effective against ending up in a hospital where a more so they're saving lives and protecting our hospitals. All of us need to remember what we call an epidemiology Counterfactual. If we didn't have these vaccines, and does the valiant hit us the way it's hitting us so hard and our state and in our country would have had a lot of mortality in this country. Look at house of countries where vaccination coverage is very low in Iran, For example, the mortality is going so cry to that point that that bodies, unfortunately, are being moved by taxes. We're seeing hospitals continue to fill up in part because of the code. Of its surge. But Mark Dad tells me he doesn't think Washington's hospital system will crash as his feared in other states proudly will tell you, Ryan, We are so prepared at U Dub and we have done all what it takes to be ready for research. So I don't I'm not afraid about Seattle and King County and the big cities. I'm very much concerned about community and I would stay. And of course, we are willing and ready to receive patients from elsewhere in the state. We should be able in our state to manage the search was dealt. If and only if people help us by reducing their activities, Wedding and mass and getting the vaccine. Now you heard Dr Mark Dad say one of the ways we can slow. The spread of Delta is by reducing unnecessary activities, which won't be easy since

Why Is Snow on the Alps Turning Red?
"Glacier blood. No it's not a new flavor from heavy metal water company liquid death glacier blood is what some call the phenomenon of snow on the alps turning red and the snow isn't read from some type of pollutant or something like when that chocolate factory accidently coated whole town in switzerland with reddish brown cocoa dust last year. It's a naturally occurring phenomenon as the result of snow. Algae quoting the bbc normally these micro algae have a green color as they contain chlorophyll. The family pigments produced by most plants to help them absorb energy from sunlight. However when the snow algae grew prolifically and are exposed to strong solar radiation they produce red colored pigment molecules known as carotenoids which act as sunshield to protect their chlorophyll and quotes now. This red snow is not a new phenomenon or even a new discovery. The bbc notes that it's mentioned as early as eighteen nineteen in a book about an arctic expedition the year prior and the new york times points to aristotle as having the first written observation of red snow. It also doesn't just happen in the alps. Researchers two years ago found samples of what they've dubbed sanguine. Ah in europe. North america south america the south pole and as clearly illustrated by that eighteen nineteen book the north pole new occurrences do seem to be increasing however and some recent findings are shedding more light on the bizarre spectacle while the data isn't fully there yet most researchers believe climate change is responsible for the increase in red snow leeann bending a professor of interface geochemistry at the german research centre for geosciences in potsdam told the bbc quote the rise in the atmosphere carbon dioxide levels increases the temperature which leads to more snow melting. The moment there is liquid water on the snow. The algae start growing and quotes
Here’s Why Pigeons and Doves Bob Their Heads While Walking
"A behavior you may have in. Doves and pigeons is the exaggerated head bobbing. They do when walking and these birds walk. They put one foot in front of another rather than hopping as many small birds do. So what's up with all this head bobbing. There's actually a very good reason for it. What's happening is that a pigeon is keeping its head still for a moment while its body is moving forward while the head is stationary. The bird can more easily detect any movement in its surroundings like a predator or other danger after that. Brief moment of cranial stasis. The bird's head shoots forward sort of catching up to the body and then the whole motion repeats. Interestingly scientists figured out that a dove or pigeon. Won't bob its head this way when it's walking on a treadmill this makes sense doesn't it because a bird probably doesn't have to worry so much about predators when it's busting out some cardio at the gym can just let its guard down. Walk on the and listen to a podcast or maybe rock out to some songs by nickelback. I'm told birds love nickelback actually pigeons. Don't bob their heads on the treadmill because the static view offers no visual stimulus for the bobbing instinct to kick in. They don't bob their heads when they're blindfolded either like a dove is blindfolded in a game of pin the tail on the donkey. Or when it's trying to hit a pinata opin yada shaped like a house cat and filled not with candy but sunflower seeds in delicious cracked corn birds in the family columbia. We also have a special ability when it comes to drinking most other birds dip their bills to scoop up a small amount of water than lift and tilt their heads back to toss the water down there gullit's but dubs pigeons can actually suck water up sort of how you and i do sort of. They stick their faces into the water completely submerging their bills than they gulp. This avian superpower may be an adaptation for drinking water quickly to minimize the time spent in a vulnerable position.
Horace Fletcher: 'The Great Masticator'
"Born in lawrence massachusetts in eighteen forty nine. Horace didn't play an instrument or hustle. Amateurs at chess no. He didn't cobbled together. Shoes in italy. Horace fletcher like the chew. As a young man fletcher traveled around performing odd jobs following his interests he worked as a writer and artist and even managed in new orleans opera house for a time. He loved to read and he indulged in many of life's pleasures mainly food. It was this pleasure. However that inflicted some of the worst pain he'd ever experienced in his life for one. As he got older he struggled with obesity and it side effects such as chronic stomach pains he also found himself being refused coverage from a life insurance policy or rejection. That sounded alarm bells for him. He quickly realized it was time to make a change one day while traveling to chicago on business the middle aged fletcher began chewing his food. He'd always shoot his food before but this time was different. He kept chewing and chewing and chewing until all that was left was a liquidity goo on his tongue. He believed that this was the key to proper digestion and weight management according to this new practice which he dubbed fletcher ism. All food needs to be chewed until it has been turned into liquid. Any solid particles were deemed unnecessary and could be spat out. It sounds absurd today. But at the time fletcher ism caught on. He became known as the great mass decatur and argued that his practice could increase a person's strength despite reducing the amount of food they actually eight. He also had strict rules about win. To consume sustenance followers. Were instructed to avoid eating when they were sad or angry and to wait until they reached the point. That fletcher called good and hungry. No midnight snacks for him. He started touring the united states giving lectures on his methods methods which were scoffed at by doctors and scientists as nothing more than self-important hokum. That didn't matter. Though fletcher ism had reached far more important spokespeople than doctors celebrities and titans of industry had begun shoeing with wild abandon among them. Were john d. rockefeller and author upton sinclair. Even mark twain was considered a friend

How Far Can a Plane Glide Without Engines?
"In nineteen eighty three a perfect storm of technical issues and unit conversion mistakes left an air canada boeing seven sixty seven without fuel. Some forty one thousand feet. That's twelve thousand. Five hundred meters over central canada before long. It lost power to both engines after descending rate of twenty five hundred feet. That's seven hundred sixty meters per minute. The pilots were able to glide their boeing all the way to save albeit bumpy landing on a race car track. The pilots were hailed heroes and the airplane was dubbed the gimli glider after the town where it landed essentially any plane can glide if the need arises and in situations where all the engines have failed. Pilots have to expect the plane to do some gliding. Without the thrust those engines are built to provide. The plane can't help but lose altitude but how far can a plane glide when it's not designed to be a glider aircrafts whose engines conch out at higher elevations can glide for longer periods of time. This is one of the reasons. Why shellenberger and skulls hudson river landing was so impressive. They had to glide their way to safety and a matter of minutes from a pretty low altitude. Everything happened very fast on. Us airways flight forty nine fifty one. The plane hit the birds within two minutes of taking off and just three minutes later. The plane was in the hudson river. Obviously planes come in all shapes and sizes. So if you're flying one it's important to know your vehicles. Best glide speed in a nutshell. This is the speed that will let your airplane travel the farthest distance while sacrificing the least amount of altitude. A related concept is the minimum sink speed or the pace of travel that will maximize how much time you can spend gliding depending on your situation. You may choose to prioritize time over distance or vice versa

"dubs" Discussed on iMore
"Big release apple made this week. Spatial audio and lossless audio are now finally an apple music. I wanted to get this out of the way. Because we have a whole lot of dub dub dub stuff to talk about. But i did want to note this. It's here it's happened. Has anybody listened. Has anybody taken the time to listen to some spatial audio lossless. Audio stephen ivan. Hummer in the spatial audio on the what does anyone know. What the difference between dolby. Atmos spatial audio is so. Here's the thing. This is a multifaceted release. Just the spatial intimate not. We're not even getting into lossless yet. So apple didn't release dolby. Atmos first of all apple talks about dolby atmos and other dolby formats which i take to mean like just surround sound like so if you're if you're music isn't isn't mastered for atmos but it is mastered for you know mike five point one or whatever however many channels seven point one then it then it still plays as stereo and lake sort of spatial. The it's called they're calling it specialized stereo and it's distinct from spatial audio. Spatial audio. Really is the atmos stuff. I call out by the amid quite full of myself. Where basically apple released all these spatial audio tracks on apple music on. I started listening to them. This is electric. They sound amazing and someone on twitter. I posted a couple of screenshots. The songs the tweet it was like the it doesn't have the dolby atmos like you see sharon day. It's a fourteen point six and then like the changed again because that was actually officially dolby. Atmos yet and then. I was fifteen. Has this specialized stereo sets thing which turns stereo into kind of spatial but not quite so the spatial songs. The the ones that have been recalled. Almost even if they're not playing like officially they do sound that different which is why. Because i thought it was listening spatial audio and then upgraded. I actually thought. Listen spatial audio. And so it was like two jumps of. But i've been. I've been hammering the playlist stuff. M the really good. The only thing i will say there is a big disparity across the tracks as to what sounds good. And what doesn't so like. They got the beatles on that remastered from nineteen like comes the sun some of the stuff. They sound brilliant. They're some really really cool. Orchestral tracks like drastic park. Imperial march some hip hop pop and stuff. Fall out boy. Whoever they got to to space they should sackcloth engineer because like those tracks in particular are like noticeably. Terrible so the only caveat so far is the songs like there's a big disbar in kind of the audio quality. But i'm super impressed so christina karen of either of you. Listen to any spatial audio stuff yet. Now i'm not the spatial audio just the lossless with like the beatles. Yeah well. I mean the excellent choice beatles all around One of the things. I wanted to get your take on this one of the things that i've noticed about spatial so i guess stephen really the volume situation like you. I'm i'm not losing. I'm sure i'm hearing hearing you do have to pump up the volume a bit right. We have a fifth guest. Look as my grand cat was hiding i. I'm not used to cats. And i didn't know she was in here. She was hiding underneath. Allow and i did not know. She was in the room with me. Sorry for our audio listeners. Scorned the cats. Joe you on not losing your mind. That's kind of the things is not only of inspiring the quality but the lead the volume levels across the tracks. I dunno if it's the way that they've been kind of mustard or mustard like it's a funny old process but there are a lot of guests at. I'm tripping now with this this cat's of guests talking about there are a lot of songs that sound very different so you'll go from. Coldplay is one of them that the higher power track. They have. That's noticeably quieter than other songs. And so yeah. Again has been a frustration. Listening experiences have to regulate the volume kind of every time. The song changes have you. Have you tried using the The soundcheck feature. So are you familiar with okay. So not sound is for those. That aren't familiar. Soundcheck is feature. It's been an items for twenty years. It's all about twenty years I don't i don't know if it was actually the beginning but the the feature's been in for for years now and what it does is it. Essentially levels out that makes the volumes consistent so This is found useful on in particular for some reason. My homepods minis my. I have stereo pair of men's and just the the volumes were going up and down all around and so i turned on soundcheck and it all fairly consistent. Now i've done. I'm literally just found in innocent settings and music. If you're listening to curious. I've just turned on the only thing i would think kobe's. I'm a bit of an audio file. I would like like the less in your songs can go through the better so i don't know that might you know might fixed the volume but then i might have like an impact on the song like in other ways and stuff so i'll give it a listen. See how it goes but yeah the volumes. A whack in in spatial audio. Now one of the things. That really surprised me. I guess i guess. I just didn't figure on is dolby. Atmos is not an airpods exclusive. I have beats to three straight. Yeah because it's also not like apple. Chipped headphone exclusive. No the what's exclusive is the altima so if the one headphone to the h. W. on chips knots. Like a lot of the recent beats pods dolby. Atmos plays automatically. If you don't have those headphones you can still listen to it but you have to go into you. Set things in ios. Whatever you're listening and you have to enable it manually. I don't know why they made that distinction but that is And so you actually can listen to atmos and lossless at the same time. If you're using wired headphones you'll see I've seen some people say that you kind of have to choose between them but is they must live to choose between them but it looks like you. I mean you can get an atmos track through end lossless at the same time if you're using wired headphones I also confused myself. This week because i had let. "You know, I think there's one person who enjoyed watching Jimmy Butler destroy the wolves boy Jimmy Butler. Did it was that Tom Ditto on man that about him? He used to go up. Yeah. That's right and GM them inves-. Today's number. Fast. How many head coaching offers? Jerry Jones says Jason Garrett would have had if you were on the market two weeks ago you by that number. I don't know if he'd have five right there were only eight jobs. So we saying that sixty three percent of the jobs, they go try to give the Jason Garrett. Somebody would have tried to give them a job though. Oh, you're as much hell as we give Jason geared, which is in large part about the lack of success in the totality of his time. There the last three years nobody's won more games in the NFC, then they have. And that is with a quarterback in year one year two and year three somebody would have given Jason Garrett a job. I don't think it would have been a good idea. But they had done it. Oh, we can get Jason Garrett on his creativity on his offense of risk seeking this. But the most risk averse people on the planet. Perhaps are these NFL teams that are just following trends looking for reasons to not get criticized. And if you say, yeah, dude at thirty two wins and three years. Well, guess what? That's a pretty good reason. Even if Jerry Jones clearly still loves him more than anybody yell also demonstrated that he'll do it as boss. Dell's them to and also bosses like they by they're like, yeah. So tell me something about him. Do what you say word till me more. The funny part though, is that you have Stephen Jones and Jerry Jones on the radio alongside Jason Garrett. Basically. Taking turns establishing that this is not a foregone conclusion. No, I Jerry Jones still have agency in power. No. Maybe he's got Lenihan won't be back. Even if we think that stasis is still going to be the default. I will say this though, if there was one thing that Mike stop somebody from Harvard. Jason Gary's is if he says, yes, Scott, Linda, hands come with me. That'll be a major problem. And I think that he would say, hey, mascot Lenihan has come with me. Little and Cowboys fans would be like, look, whatever it tastes guy hand out of here. I just love that Jerry Jones billionaires still does radio interviews, man. Like, this is still all how this habit. He loves being seen. Inclosing been telling y'all for years at the best robbery and the NFL is falcon saints, and I've been telling y'all for weeks that if the saints make the Super Bowl it'll be beef in the streets. Atalanta Casey didn't believe me. Let's start with Kiessling lands bobbins the may of Atlanta. That's right. That may here in Atlantic with a Super Bowl teams, the pig was due to see come down here and their fans come travel to Atlanta. Other than the things you'll be founding on my hip. I told you that Israeli the field that has city council j banks he saying, quote, a disappointed that she felt that way, but we are still coming, and it's not our fault that her team sucks grams to stop this beef from taking it to the streets. "Look says he got into the league Mamathe flawed James with this. He's been hit three hundred seventy times more than any other quarterback has learned that time. Period. Right. They run him between the tackles. He is a totally singular and unique NFL figure where they really used him like a backup running back, Michael Vick. They used them like a quarterback who could run this dude has been used largely as a backup running back. He's the greatest third and short option that there's ever been in the his felt all of that stuff. We don't know though for someone a quarter that paradigm what the lifespans, right right future looks bleak. Public poulsen. Yeah. Luca doctors having a better rookie season. They LeBron James did. As Bleacher reports grant Hughes rate, Hugues, not me Pablo. Do you think having a better Ricky sees the LeBron? And if so what does it mean, he might be he might be he's at least in the conversation. But mostly means is that how did the Phoenix Suns in Sacramento Kings pass on him because the sons have the coach from the national team. Whereas this gentleman is from the kings have the front office helmed by the most euro fluent people that we have in the NBA allegedly. This dude was ready to do this from day one. He's a pro two years in Europe, an MVP how did they let him get to Dallas as my question still. Yeah. The one thing I would note vote is. And I joked about that with grant. But I do think he's having a better rookie year. That speaks though is much as anything else to a change in paradigm. Right. The big thing is the bronze shot something. Like fourteen percent of his field goals are three point attempts. His rookie year. Forty-three percent of dances. Are everybody gets a different game? Like lebron? If the evidence under three point shot was what it is. Now, LeBron probably would have come into the league as a better three point shooter. But just looking at it. He has definitely been a better player this year. They'll LeBron was on that team. Yeah. And the promising part of what is not quite mini LeBron, but a run resembling type of player, dude. What he does at the end of games in terms of clutch time, five minutes or less the game within single digits. He is a top ten player all time with the LeBron's of the world for nineteen small sample for nineteen. That's really impressive question is what's the ceiling because de'andre eight nine margin bed. Marvin Bagley have not been playing against pros. That's what the thing is. There's some level of growth that you would assume the dodgers got some early what the growth is later. That's what we're figuring out up next, by the way, Jerry Jones hype sub chasing Garrett. So told me here with news you can use. I knew brought to you by sonic, get a quarter pound double cheeseburger or Slinger plus tax, but just to ninety nine..

"Kinda what Antonio Brown justify them somewhere. That'd be mad drama like what place would be the most drama. He could wind up hitting be put him on the giant somehow when you put him in Odessa together. Lou 'cause I feel like just the competition for funny haircuts galore dance contests while that wasn't no normal game. Them dudes is that our Hayes. T wolves guard. Jeff Teague the Jimmy Butler and the Sixers beat Minnesota by forty two points bobble you think he was playing some different in this game. Absolutely. They were like three points shy of the all-time scoring record for a first half. And we had talked previously. How do we make the awkwardness around Brett Brown and Jimmy Butler? And then Joel Embiid, how does that all fit? Well, it turns out the center of the ven diagram of interests for Embiid and for Butler is humiliating a common opponent, dude. They had 'em bead chasing loose balls. You have to have video, by the way. It's crazy the effort bowl that they had in this. I mean, that'd be specific here. The common enemy here town whose left out of that detail by this is it Jimmy Butler as he didn't then legendary practice garden Carl towels and the post I don't know what in it'd be wasn't even needed necessary in wristing his body though to attack the baseline in a game. That was well out of head trolling after the game. All of these things. And wound up like what you had here. This reminds me of two things that Tom Scotty Pippin and Michael Jordan. Well, Tony Cuco nine hundred ninety two Olympic that time. Lebron James Dwayne Wade got tired of insanity and shut it all down in one night. Like, we are going to bring the pain to you. I remember this also indicates to me that the temporal wolves. Somehow didn't realize that this is where I. This is the first time they played against Butler since Butler guy traded. What did they think? The Sixers are going to be bringing for them. Crawling towns out to the game you in March. We're going to be ready you need to to get ready. Yeah. Jimmy Butler had this date circle. Joel Embiid humane the joke about how it was good to play with a third stringer is against the real NBA team. Like he had that ready for months, they were all prepared except for the guys who yes got the capitated. Once this team rolled through tell me this does not seem though to indicate that everything Jimmy said about the boys was correct. The idea that they did have an intimate for this game. Right. The Jimmy wanted it so much more than they did towns is playing well, it's just that he has taken giant ELS head to head every time next. If you told me he took a year off and could recover. Why wouldn't you do that? Panthers owner David Tepper about the possibility of Cam Newton getting shoulder surgery. So both how should Ron Rivera the coach feel about the owner having this plan for a quarter. Now, let's be clear that's not the odors plane. He was asked about. Yeah. Got it. But do we came into the injury and this what about like Angie's look at Andrew luck? Yeah. That worked out and he's saying that if I know that I could sit my quarterback and get them back, basically good as new one the other side. It is something that you have to consider. But if you're Ron Rivera and you find out the Cam Newton not playing next year. It's time to sell your house. You're done in this town. It's a ramp. You would feel like Brian Flora's must be feeling hearing that. Yeah. The dolphins are going to go get a quarterback in twenty twenty and that's their goal. This is a team that is indicating that they are severely worried about their quarterback, and they should be because this would be to shoulder surgeries around the rotator cuff, which prevented Cam Newton from throwing the football long. Like he could not do that. They brought him the backup to do that last year bowl. Like, they gotta be concerned on some level about what is life like after this dude was going to be thirty with all this Milot..

"Whether it's protester players, hypothetical sexuality, or whatever this stuff what he did at the end of the year that does feel like something that isn't gonna make him radioactive. But would cause people pause if they have alternatives are there alternative, I'd say I think he's done in Pittsburgh. I think I don't think they want to bring him back at all. They would try to find any way possible. I think to get him out of there. I don't think they'll sell low on him in order to do it. But I think they're going to get him out. It's out. But yet not you believe are correct on this one. The diva thing though, is funny, man. Like the reason why that term makes me left like divas don't have to work on a team. Like this dude is having problems because he has. Issues sharing credit, and that's doing nothing not going to resolve the work didn't work. They said, okay. I'm gonna work. It's over after day last name Zion Williamson yesterday Scottie Pippen went on the jump and had some advice for the future number one. Picking this year's NBA draft. Let's listen. For basketball college basketball that is more by him personally now. And I think for him was a young player that I would shut it down. Now, let me let me stop playing. I would stop playing because I feel that he could risk a major in Redick really hurt his career both Scotties base in his voice and that play was incredible. But what would it look like bow? If Zion actually took the man's advice. I can't show you what it would look like visit with mess. Things up set the whole studio on fire. They like it. Zion. It would be bad. He would be on American. He would be selfish. He would be all of the things that oppose sports virtue as we like to imagine it. But the tricky thing is it's hard not to see where some people might be coming from on that because this would be radical. Right. We've never really seen that be test. It's easy to see where people are coming from. Because risk aversion is easy to see. I mean, the is not like you have to explain to somebody. Okay. Now, why is it that you would do off benefit? But I also feel like this is advice you give people in a hypothetical situation like in real life application, you're not going to do that. And if he were to do that, I would be one to come out and say, hey, you can do whatever you want. But you did sign up to be on this team. You did decide that this is what you were going to do. And you were you would be quitting on them. If you did this. I remember when kyri had that foot injury. They get too. And when he got to the end at I I was like, yo you shouldn't come back and play. But people made the reasonable point is you are healthy you should play. This is what you sign. Up for and if he had any respect for his teammates or for that polish gentleman there runs things down there. Then he would wind up playing no matter what the public gentlemen who happens to also be face and the head of team USA, by the way, speaking of anti-americanism, but Zayn Williamson does have you need position here. He will be the number one picky. Never plays another game for Duke, assuming he's healthy the physics of his body. Do worry me. So the cost benefit make sense on that. It's just the backlash like, Hugh. Do you wanna be a billing do you want to go through all of the three draft mess with this being the entire story? But see I think he gets shake that off. Honestly, I think would be like it would be ugly when it first happened. But in the end, he gets out there starts catching the stuff like that. And then okay because the the enemy here was still be the AA, and it is not the majority of the population is not opposed to the NC double A. But it's enough people. Reside wouldn't be out here by himself. If he did decide to go ahead and make such a decision, but I also operate on this like he's still needs. Give. At playing basketball. There's still room for him to improve the things we do..

"Three. He's shooting. Forty six percent from three three in January. If he starts heating shots, then that changes a lot for them because they have been a great defensive team this year as they've been throughout this run. They're going to need clay to hit shots this Bill for him to hit threes. A forty three percent clip. It can't be him made him at thirty four. Like it was earlier this year. You're absolutely right about glare four of his last eight games. He's had thirty points. In win clay is on Draymond single digit points, but thirteen assists that offensive liability doesn't really matter as much, but it's also worth remembering the team they beat the nuggets. We're in fact, number one in the west and they've been doing this without a real superstar. The closest we got is this lovely gentleman nave Nikola Yokich that you're not think about this though, you're not counting on like throwing him to ball him. Getting you buckets. He's not that sort of player that you're looking at the offense runs through him. But what they do have gear hairs is a guy that can get his own shop. But when it comes to postseason is really coming down to how many guys do you have they can get their own shot. The warriors really only have two of those guys did. Just so really really good that it trumps everything else that happens, but ceiling warriors way higher than everybody else so much higher, but the ceiling on nickel Yokich American education, also pretty high if we can show this video. Overall lesson. Mitch. Did you listen do that in Washington was talking needs to failing big? It is the cultural exchange of the United States there. It is right there. I was actually expected him to say, well, you know, how the game went like Denzel Washington wants it. We didn't land Plymouth. Rockland Rockland, rob beat the hell out them. As Denzel one said, King Kong ain't got bleep on me. And he quoted Denzel like, he's ABRAHAM LINCOLN. This is the league we look after the way they got beat should had a single tier coming from his eye ally, Denzel and glory. Well, there's a name actually saves Antonio Brown. New bus coach Bruce Arians was asked by Adam Schefter voice. Take on the drama in Pittsburgh say, quote, there's too much miscommunication too much diva problem, you think these comments indicate a week trademark and for Brown. They indicate a week trade market for Brown as Tampa Bay is concerned Tampa Bay in the bucks, they could use Tonio ground because the Sean Jackson seemingly maybe moving on a great replacement. A great upgrade would be and Tonio Brown for Bruce Arians. But Bruce areas, let's be. Clear he was the guy in June. When Abe was putting on Instagram like. By coaches didn't think I was smart. I could run route thought it was a return or a special teams guy Arians was mentioned in that too. So I think this is as much about Bruce Arians, specifically not thinking there's a future with them to together. I mean, he's got another wal receiver like they don't need Antonio Brown and their way, especially probably not at the fry at the price in Tonio Brown is probably going to fetch somebody out. There is going to be interested because he's probably just too good. And the price is too good for him. It is a legitimately manageable contract for these next three years. Pittsburgh doesn't do guarantees in deals down the lines with wild of being too much drama. I imagine somebody can get out from under that deal too much. But I feel like we know Antonio Brown is a diva we know that he's not the only one league full of divas possess full of demons. So no, I don't think this indicates that there will be a weak market for him. But I am fascinated to consider what exactly the market is going to be at his age because it is possible that said this before Bill Belichick probably wouldn't trade it Antonio Brown this year because now is just the time to trade Antonio Brown's and being thirty years. Yes. And today we had art Rooney talking to the columnist Pittsburgh about how he wants an extension for Ben Rothlisberger. But has a hard time seeing Brown coming back. And I do think it's worth noting in the NFL. We talk a lot about distraction. And it's usually a euphemism for stuff that doesn't have to be that distracting..

"And Jalen hurts gone, Oklahoma. Oklahoma stays getting really good quarterbacks. Well, Yemi heels being Oklahoman. It does is there there that'll be their third straight like Bonzo transfer quarterback that they've thrown out there. Meanwhile, Miami man, Miami is getting void teeth. And with those things they had Jalen hurts prime one twelve live there were videos and has ever failed. I guess it has officially now. The man, hey, we shall see. First name is the warriors has Golden State smoked the nuggets. One forty two to one eleven last night and Bomani to go over first place in the west Klay. Steph K D all went off this proved to you that the warriors are going to be just fine. The warriors beat the brakes off the nuggets every other idiom that I wanna use the describe how thoroughly they beat them would be inappropriate for television program. That's how badly they put the hurt on them. How ever this doesn't mean that everything is fine. This means that win everything is fine in a moment in a game. Whatever it happens to be. They can be lights out. The question is when this gets to the end of the season, they go have enough left to be like that that. I don't know. But we know they have the high ceiling in the league. Yeah. This was mostly a reminder that the warriors problems as we've documented them thoroughly are still high class problems. We have such a long season in the NBA where the pendulum does swing from concern and exiled into security, and this was the security and the confidence end of the spectrum. But for me, what's reassuring is that k D's seemed happy they weren't doing the thing where they staggered Steph in K, D clay is back. It just felt like bright. Oh, yeah. The warriors have more talent than every other team in the league is not close. I mean, everybody's happy when the shot them and they're all making shots at the same time. And also curry try it the way he'd done the stagger experiment with curry off the ball at these other times like Steve Kerr has not done a great job with this team this year. I think even he would wind up admitting that this to me is the big thing though, with the warriors Klay Thompson has not shot. Well this year in the month of December. He shot thirty three percent from.

"There the patriot as we noted yesterday kirk cousins got the first fully guaranteed multiyear big money deal in the nfl eighty four million dollars in this prompted seattle wide receiver doug baldwin to tweet quote kirk cousins hero for all the young players that will follow after him now we need more players to bet on themselves until fully guaranteed contracts or the norm and not the exception unquote will bonus cousins contract game changer in the nfl eloquent from volumes very smart guy it's wishful thinking and knows that a game changer quarterbacks are different quarterbacks are not guys you could run a replacement player in for as the nfl is want to do that i just read a list yes okay so they can replace all those guys and still win one tier bowl yeah that's right but replaced some guys tony they may not even successfully replace them they still replace the owners are not going to go to guaranteed contracts which they pointed out at every labor impasse is the difference between football and its ability to maintain a product to make more money than basketball hockey and baseball so cousins bet on himself and he won mike was stock is bet on himself and he lost not everybody's gonna win when they bet on themselves i think quarterbacks coming up shortly for contracts or aaron rodgers matt ryan and russell's fine i think that they can get guaranteed contracts like this i think some pass rushers can get it a couple i think some wide receiver us a couple that that's what i think i think by and large overwhelmingly no this is not possible you take all these great cornerbacks that you mentioned in your very eloquent list and those guys are done in two years.

"These defections a big deal little dealer no deal at all again i'm not going to deal with all of the defections i'm going to deal with one and i'm going to say it's a huge deal right now until we find out who the replacement is i'm going to say nate solar is a huge deal that quarterback tom brady is going to be forty one years old next year he has basically a mobile gets he gets a ball on his hands very fast but you got to protect them the most important thing the patriots can do is keep tom brady upright so with nate soldier leaving since the patriots since tom brady is there they've had two guys that's it that's the list two guys that light nate solar to me this is a huge deal you know tony actually have some other guys during injuries don't they always keep them up right now let's keep tom brady upfront every year to left tackles the most important position grab set here year after year for sixteen and a half years and every time the patriots lose somebody all the sky is falling they've lost let me go over so talking about having dole where did he was for some names of past all the know it all say they can't replace doom is coming to ahead more malloy richard seymour jamie collins other kid where without him jan the joe's can't replace him right branch the garin blunt logan makine's the great hall of fame bound logan mankins asante samuel best player in his position derryl this island he's the best player ever not exactly rail that's welker randy moss martellus bennett to great list stop me every play or any of that is what they don't on one second or any of them left tackles protecting a forty one yearold i were about a one is the parents are still fight they guess what they do that's why said at the beginning unless we know who the replacement is but those other guys these iran replace them malcolm butler play in the super bowl dion lewis you can find that amendola will be replaced.

"Margin's don't vary much you know would curry's going to give you and you know what durant is going to give you and you know pretty much what green is going to give you may not be sure about the points but you know most of it thompson can go for thirteen or forty five or fifty to me he's the guy that keeps the other teams defense honest so to me this is a very big deal he's the most underappreciated of that that star foursome our tech yeah now in that tony you know durant has become truly in a league defensive player but clinton's has always been a terrific defender and people who don't see him in person don't realize he six foot seven klay thompson could guard multiple positions i'm looking at the way that we can defend with us injury but he may not able to shoot if you need to she's got a super and he's going to get banged around because if tease other where one kid shoot don't have last year's tony you've got gotta look at you got to look at curry's ankle as well what are we having all of it i'm looking good this is what happens to championship teams accepted a couple of notable exceptions the bulls were injuries just peck away at them and you die by thousand paper cuts that's the question you know in history normally happens to quarterbacks or closers yeah yeah asking bulls relatively free of it but this big deal big deal speaking of championship teams down a few guys that's exactly what's happening to the new england patriots free agency just started ninety minutes ago and already the patriots of laws pro bowl left tackle nate solar danny amendola super bowl hero wants removed malcolm butler and starting running back dion lewis the know it all analyst tony say there are no more premier free agents left on the market i would point out the patriots have three of the first sixty three picks in the upcoming draft and bill belichick's brain so tony are all.

"I will i will agree with you on villanova because they got five different guys who can shoot and jalen brunson is a great point guard guards willing stars in this matter there are two games at the bottom of the brackets of sixty i'm sorry okay there's this issue state against do right we'll send there's michigan against north carolina okay i don't have my money michigan had the greatest day run of the entire season when they beat purdue and michigan state on neutral sites in a row okay so i'm going to say michigan okay and even though the big ten is at the bottom nothing much this year i'm also going to say michigan state because i've always thought that they were potentially the best team out there so my final four be michigan michigan state villanova in virginia to ones we shoot teams villanova st i got carolina going a little further youth right but those those remnants i love to be wrong about that i don't they don't miss everyone is running away from virginia now breaking news california tony klay thompson has suffered a fractured thumb on his shooting head his splash hand he's gonna be on at least two weeks reportedly immediately this means a warriors down three all stars for tonight's game at home against the lakers and tomorrow's in phoenix steph curry still out with ankle draymond green has assorted ailments and now thompson in all including david west who's out a little bit the dumpster down five of their regular rotation players tony could the weight of all of this particularly with this news about oxen sink the chair i'm going to dismiss the weight of all this and i'm going to concentrate on thomson because this is a very big deal thompson is cal ripken he plays he always plays this is the thumb on his shooting this if it's this thumb around it i don't care this is very very important and this is what i will say about him to me is the wildcard on that team the other players the.
