"Know, we did a symposium. You're a couple years back in Oxford. The University of Oxford at one of the colleges and Iran was a big focus of it. From a military standpoint is that we've now been president was President Trump was very successful in aggregating the Middle East view on Iran, which Forced in a good way relationships with Israel because there was a common enemy. Yeah, absolutely. I mean all of the countries in the Middle East and I've lived there they see a rent as the big threat they've known for many, many years, Israel was not a threat. But now they're coming on board and acknowledging it publicly that they need Israel to stand with them and the United States against Iran, which is a threat to them, And it's unfortunate that that I think history's going to repeat itself. 30 years ago, we were where we are right now with North Korea. We tried sanctions which Rite aid? We tried negotiations 30 years later. North Korea is a nuclear armed nation. Now our only hope is to hope they don't use the weapons were slow learners J because this same thing if we're not careful is going to happen with Iran. You know the one thing I was thinking about anyone. We're talking about that in an Oxford when we did that whole program. Focusing in on Iran and Turkey and the whole bit that there is an Iran turkey connection to Oh, there is a definite Turks connection between Iran and Turkey, and then we have to understand that the Turks right now are not our friends and they've never been our friends. Really. It's certainly haven't been the friends of Christians and certainly haven't been the friends of their NATO ally, alleged ally Greece. It's a dangerous connection that we have to keep our eyes on. I hope it's something that President Biden is going to come to realize is not in the best interests of the United States to support the Turks. I think there's a recognition in the region that they cannot go back to the days where Iran threatens the region. The Obama years were terrible for the region. The fact is one of the lasting legacies of this president's going to be President. Trump is going to be those Abraham accords. Because the reality is it was a completely re complete reshaping of the Middle East to the for the betterment over the world and for the betterment of the region, but also for the betterment of the United States. I think it's it's tragic in a sense of that policy probably will not be continued, because what you had was an alliance because of a common enemy. That became strong. What I think is Impeachment is a special process, especially as regards the chief executive because there's a problem to solve. They, You know, in the in Charles the first they cut off head, but they weren't really ever able to establish a British law that would let them do that. Um, And that's because Executive is in charge of prosecutions. How do you prosecute the executive? And it's sensitive because anyway, you prosecute him. Anybody who has the power to prosecute him could conceivably take over the executive. In our country. The executive is elected and that would mean toward in the well of people. So they did a brilliant thing they contrived. They contrived that the two political branches would take on a somewhat judicial function. And one would accuse him and the prosecute him and the other would try him. That would mean then that there would have to be a sort of consensus in the nation. The political forces in the nation, and it would also, however, operate under some rules of law. They would present evidence and have cross examination. So that's what they did. And that's Ah. That's where two really well Uh, the point is, What about Private citizen, which is what Donald Trump will be in a few days. And So I the reason I think a private citizen cannot be prosecuted is because if you read, you know, they're six mentions of impeachment in the Constitution and Is it to have Marin? If, after the Three M. Marin articles one and the two of them are an article to and what I'm is an Article three. So the dimensions the second one is the most interesting one. Senate shall have the sole power to try impeachments. Uh, Judgment in cases of impeachment shall not extend further than two removal from office.
