"This is genius so basically this is good. This is my mom would have called this one right okay. I've questions about this. So she basically like locks them into her little like on suite bathroom in her room and has becca like poor all this water on the floor with her and then you know right when he gets to the glass of the door when he's about to break in she opens the door than becca throws him into the water. So for the third time. Now bekker's throwing this guy and water and then she jumps up she. Her blow dryer like plugged into the wall above the bathtub and she holds it over him. And it's like total mommy time right and he's realizing like if she drops this thing i'll die if i try to grab it all die right. It's great okay. i will. I ball running it. They keep running to a place where they're like fish hopping into a barrel like they're like. Oh let's go somewhere will remorse trap. Let's go somewhere where we're more trapped right wing. Gale is one of the gale is frustrated. She's gila so well intentioned but she she's bad with decisions. This is classic. This is classic horror movie though. Like why did these bitches keep running up higher and more isolated like when you make known that when the woman that was killed the beginning yells. Yeah you gotta go down and wide like if you're getting killed you go down and go wide. You don't go up a narrow that's allergy do. Yeah but here's here's a thought okay. So this guy's twenty five twenty twenty do they. Like what he'd know about hairdryers. Is that like a ninety thing. Do people still like talk about that. Hairdryers bathtub Yeah no everyone knows that. I think that's like toaster in the bathtub like hairdryer. Nevada's i i i i kind of in my mind. I don't use a hairdryer. So maybe that's why. I'm not reminded us in my mind. That's like old school like thing. You were so scared when you were young. Like toxic shock syndrome or something knowing now any Okay but i know about toxic shock syndrome. You know well. Electricity in waters never good. And he has a pool boy would know that he is through cuddle. So i was speaking of that. I was surprised he knew to cut the landline. Yeah i'm surprised. They had a landline right there. So new in their house. I have a land line in my house. I know because like i had to have one for some reason. I have no idea where that shit is. I will never find out where this land line is. I don't know where i have. No idea where it is in my house so he looks up at her in this release sincere shock and she tells back to go next door and call the cops so detectives. They're and they tell adam bringing him out you're not getting out of this one son and then becca and engalnd go back inside and shut the door behind them. And that's the end of the movie. The call car drives off. They you know they're bundled up in a blanket. They go back inside. There's only one cop car there to come get them. Nobody's dealing with the fact. There's like a dead guy. Also i think we know he's dead because his eyes were open right. Well i hope they held. I hope they held him in like the cops held him in the bathroom. While they got carlton out. I in in hopes that they could save his life. I feel like i. i saw that. His eyes were open way. He just got punked on the. It was a really good bonk on the head for him to comma. Yeah so but. I just pictured them waking up the next morning in the pool b like halfway full in carlton just kind of floating in there and they'll be like oh shit. We forgot to tell about this fired. Yano i kinda loved the restraint of this ending like this is like not bothering to follow up with like the. Oh she has a car and al like things are fine. Bekker's going off to college. I kinda late. The audacity of ending a movie just cold because this is what i complain about a lot of the time where i'm like. God why do we have to do like an extra ten minutes on this. Following up on that like that movie could have been used better in like exposition or like you know deciding these characters were and i thought that the time was well spent in this i i do hate that. We're not going to find out what happened to carlton. this is like classic drop plotlines. This is very would be classic on the scale bad music. The sound was really bad. The lot of dropped plotlines You know a lot of like sort of like awkward just dialogues. That was just very clunky and like you know as as much as he could finesse it. It's no take that thing. Take that thing. Is my newest thing dude. Have you seen the wendy williams movie so like wendy. Williams is getting fucked by her boyfriend. Eric be in this lifetime movie that she produced about her own life bake the the best dirty line ever in a lifetime. Movie happens because he goes to take that thing. My gosh wall. One time i noticed on or that i just noticed on the lifetime. Move away when they don't do their big like near vista openings or whatever or this was asylum sometimes just straight fucking especially with the old ones just like jump right into it. I ll intersting. They like throw you in the deep end. But i gotta tell you okay. So i watched half of appointment with saura killing and everyone needs to get their peepers on the first seen in. I'm because it is insane. It's a sex scene that i mean this movies like thirty years old. Because it's like markie post like corbin bernsen and the other swayze but like this. I seen is just a hardcore sex scene. That is just like real upsetting really. Yeah i was trained. It's almost shot like like. i don't even know. Yeah just check that out. I do like that though. That was very like movie of the week. Like especially the old school ones like they would want to catch you in the first two minutes because it was something that probably aired on nbc after a major television event right right after night after night court. They're like this isn't your normal market post but yeah no giant. Thank you so much for coming on and doing this with me. I really appreciate a ban on problem anytime you can watch lifetime movies super into it. What did you think of it overall. I don't know the second time. I watched i did this. I was so like. I was so into the first fifteen minutes and then i was so kissed about the rest because of the sound and the and the lighting and just like the lack of production. I'm going to let that go. Because of the covert thing. I don't know maybe i'm hyper aware that i shouldn't probably bring it up so much but yeah then i watched a couple of others and i should a second time and i'm like oh man the seat this that bad yeah. It's not that bad. It's it's not that bad. it's also like it was okay so like the pool boy thing in general like ultimately what i think about the whole idea of like hop pool boys which is like corny and again like kind of i think a a nod to rahlves porno background right. Like the idea of a pool boy was only like popularized because it was like a guy like that was like eye candy like a tennis instructor. That like a housewife. Technically higher on her husband's budget. Like a hawk gardner a hot pool. Boy what. It's like a porn premise. Where it's like somebody coming to your house if pizza guy. Yeah yeah or like in my favorite Lifetime movie Menu murder which we covered on this written by duane pool. Like those women by coke from the pool boy like he's just like totally like a like a way to go live out your fantasy and.

Eric first Williams first fifteen minutes duane pool Bekker corbin bernsen second time third time first two minutes twenty wendy williams one cop car next morning ten minutes Nevada nbc one thirty years old adam

"I always call them big pieces of spaghetti. There's that yeah that you're from michigan. So you know a lot about cars i feel. I don't know much about car washes or cars but You great recall a detail from so long ago that i'm from michigan. You're the best models of course. So grace's confederated. Sarah while they're hiding out and he says that he underestimated the market risk. He thought it was going to be easy money. But someone was playing burner. Buddy in. Everyone in the room was dead. What's furniture buddy. I i don't know what that is but Another detail. I was just thinking about your memory. United's from michigan which college comedy troupe called shuttle head yeah hello chevette. Yeah see great. You're the best. Some of those things are trapped in there forever. You know yup for real. But i always liked people from michigan. I feel like that's one of the good states to be from thanks. We helped with this last selection for sure i like have even committed to doing some tourism in every state that turned blue. That's good news When you head to michigan remind me to connect you to my brother. He'll gladly share your on detroit. Oh i can't wait. That'll be the best day of my life. So i i actually am dying to meet your brother and i. I would love to do this. Podcast with him. That would be a blast so she asked him where the tape is is in at a safehouse still. Can't believe they're calling it safe houses she get an address. And i'm like sarah calm down like you're literally being held hostage or asking us man for an address that will lake blow the lid off this thing need like who the hell do you think you are and i have to say grace. That's a fair question. So as things are getting more serious between grayson. Sarah james is closing in on them completely undetected until he steps on. What seems to be like a loose hubcap or something. Grace has a gun pointed at sarah's had in its of the car when he spots james and james is like go but he says no way. This is all i got in gem offer James offers to let him get away with it. We that's not good enough so he shoots adam and james tells him put your gun down. Don't mistake don't mistake me for the sisters of mercy like wheaties thing to reference nuns really before the catholic church got burnt up so you could still reference nuns without there being like a heavier connotation to it. i feel sure but this was also around the same era. When sinead o'connor ripped up a picture of the pope on us and all that is true. I think sister act bodice a lot of goodwill indeed so gray spots the button to turn on the car wash in james gets caught up in those spinning brushes which i fell in love with the idea of people getting caught in a car. Wash is a comedy moment during a movie called menu for murder which was written by my favorite lifetime. Movie writer duane pool. And it's fantastic. It's like morgan fairchild. It's like all of these fantastic eighty s actresses in its fully high camp. It's like unbelievable. Art movies incredible but they use this device getting caught up in a car wash. so funny. He gets thrown to the ground Finally he emerges any shoots grace twice in the chest. Sarah lifts her head up for some reason at the end of this team when she looks him and she looks disappointed. And it's difficult to track wide that look as acting as a direction is it. A misunderstood thing makes the way. This movie goes. Make a lot more sense. Yeah i think part of it is again i love what you said earlier about. Not trying to bash individual performances by think it's part of why lisa hartman screw didn't really continue to much past her face when she was like really young in really really hot. That makes sense Yeah that makes sense. Although i think she did kill it as the snow owl on masked singer by the way my favorite show so good mark. Do you not love it. I've seen a couple of eps because I think that might we were watching. Lego masters on fox And we saw a lot of promos for masked singer in so my kids got into it. And so i've seen a couple of episodes sort of by osmosis. We would've been so horny for that show at famer that that show would have been everything over. It's unbelievable so the deputy chief tells the captain that he's taking the case day early and He says that the police commissioner pissed the best witness they had is dead which like fair. That is fair. We happens that he was promised two days. But the deputy guy he's like no you're blew it. They already lost officer. Delgado were out so once he leaves. Sarah walks into the captain's office says that she wants a word with him. She is free of james. Is an independent moves. She's going for so we see. James importers are catching up. Imported says that nickel the nichols canyon. Shooting looks like it was done by a single shooter. Took out the wiseguy in the yuppie and got out fast no business card but looks like Pro hat approach the hit so they run into the other detective. Who we've seen hollis and he says that the crime lab ran the tape. Box for prince lenny greeson. Valentine's prints were all on it. Valentine isn't home. But they've got people staked out at her place and then they weren't into the chief and he tells james that he messed up big time. He blasted the material witness of two homicides. Us like well. What was i supposed to do when a suspect pozada gun write a letter to the mayor deploring urban crime. Which kind of like you know. It's a real fuck you answer. I liked it and he tells them that. He's taking the case in the excuses himself. So then sarah. In the captain tell james that they're moving forward with a new plan. She's gonna go undercover and he thinks this is insane rightfully so i mean they did just kill lucy. She's inexperienced if she dies where they you know. What are they gonna do to them. So she says that this is the best to go. She's familiar with the case. She's an unknown space. She can go to debra taps agency for an interview and just see what happens so james tells her that. This isn't a bright boy. Move is bright boy and expression perplexity to. I'd never heard that before. But again. I think we do have to call back to the writer. What was his name. James something steven steven zeno semen zito brought out a third act hooker. Turn which. I mean if you could hear my applause through my airpods on. That's what i just did. A third act hooker. Turn this movie is heading in the right direction. It really is. And i think honestly another thing about a bright way just means smart guy. Oh yeah okay yeah. Yeah you're right. It wasn't an era.

"Welcome back to another episode of mother. May i sleep a podcast today. We are doing a duane pool joint. It feels right to end the year on a high note with dwayne full movie. Our guest today is carolina acres. Were doing midwest obsession caroline. Hi hi how are you. I'm so good. I'm so pumped because this is a big dwayne cool movie that i've known about i mean really since the pool took over in my life i i did a little research on the movies that he has done and he. He has quite a quite a little collection a lot of holiday movies. He I think he did a great job. Yeah i'm kind of jealous of his career. I think he's like the ultimate to be honest and there he he's done a lot he did A movie with johnny depp. That was one thing i mean. I have to say one of the main reasons why i fucked with pool so hard as that. He listened to an episode. Where i think i was like really mean and because i just hated the movie and he was. I think i speculated a lot about him and you listen to it and he was so cool about it and i'm announcing salaries other on twitter. I reached out to him yesterday and said hey pool did it publicly. I said we're doing west obsession super excited. This is a double title movie beauties. Revenge was the other name. I like midwest obsession. I think i prefer that one me. Too at nineteen ninety-five movie. With courtney thorne smith kyle. Seager stephen fanning and of course tracey. Gold is in their snoopy's. Yes i love her or curly. Beautiful hair totally. And we're gonna do another tracey gold movie Stolen innocence but it expired and my guests had like reschedule. So i was like fuck. We might not get any tracey gold but we managed to anyway. Shame so the story line. i guess. Rather the tagline for this is so pretty is so popular so dangerous. No one ever suspected her dark deadly plan. This movie is based on a true story. It's kind of difficult to find information about this case i was like a fair amount of digging. I wouldn't say like i went into the reddit of it all yada. Here's an art. A goal from the la times on august twenty. Fifth nineteen ninety. It says a former dairy princess was sentenced friday to life in prison without possibility of parole until two thousand three for strangling a former homecoming queen in a jealous rage. Over a farmer who both women loved lori esker twenty. One was convicted in june first degree. Intentional homicide for september. One thousand nine hundred. Nine slaying of lisa suzuki ski. Would you say yeah. That's that's how i pronounced it. Or i thought it was pronounced dead and really wisconsin. Wisconsin is just a whole area of the country that i know nothing about pronunciation. Yes they have no shortage of difficult. Last names in wisconsin But yes she was strangled with the belts in a car. Outside of a wasser area motel marathon county circuit judge michael hoover after six hours of testimony in arguments from attorneys decided not to set a parole eligibility date for esker so the former marathon county dairy princess automatically becomes eligible for release after thirteen years and four months in prison and reason heard of that before like just not setting a date for parole. That's interesting yeah. I wonder really what that was about. I it's you know it's interesting too. Because i feel like we talk about murder very differently now Whereas they keep driving home that it's the first degree intentional. Killing isn't that what first degree is right because second degree is what is ma'am slaughtered right. Which is a second degree. when it's not preplanned yes yes yes So get the name of the town that it was called rib mountain. No like our be like rib mountain top nuts. So let's go into this newer news. Which is that. She was released in seven not that long ago. Yeah and i kind of find it. Unbelievable that based off of how cruel these murders were not that. There's ever like a nice murder really but this seemed so honestly it speaks to someone's mindset when you're killing a another twenty one year old girl over a farmer and i'm when you find yourself in that situation it was it's so weird to because it's always talk about. I feel like in murder trials. How strangling is like such a personal crime because you it a it takes so long. I don't remember the exact amount of time. But you're there without person and you have to be on top of them or you know she did it with a belt and it's like it's very personal and like a decision that she had to follow through and then she she went in. She put the belts in her. Which i heard dorms incinerator is something that i read and i hated. The fact that adorn back then would have an incinerator. That students could just access at that. That was absolutely crazy. But it's it's so weird because she you know she did the super personal crime and then disposed of the murder weapon and you know she just twenty nine years later gets parole and i can only assume that's just because you know she's a white woman gets our justice. System is very subjective Depending on your crime and your race and everything and it's just it's it made me sad honestly to hear that you know someone who murdered someone can get off so much easier than people who are in jail for seemingly like minor crimes. It's it's absolutely crazy. It is crazy and you know. Yeah this young girl's life was lost and of course they added some extra twists and turns and drama in this movie That makes it. I you know even more shocking in difficult to believe at this person would get off. But you're right. It is such a intense decision to decide to strangle someone with a murder with a gun. You know it's difficult to turn back from that ray by strangling. That's like a good thirty seconds to a minute you. There's a lot of time there to rethink what you're doing and and back off for sure. So this movie is i can imagine that. This movie was sort of a big movie of the week. Tight yali when it came out. It's pretty high budget There's you know some kind of absurd concepts in this movie. That are very like regional. There's so many cultures within our own fifty states omega. There was a lot in this that i was completely unfamiliar to me.

courtney thorne smith kyle Seager stephen fanning tracey gold midwest marathon county lori esker lisa suzuki michael hoover esker dwayne johnny depp wisconsin caroline la times carolina twitter Wisconsin yali ray

"Acting out he's got to be there. But yeah i mean okay. So i would love to see more of these lifetime movies. That don't end with a secret. Recording reveal but i do love Yeah and we're taking this to the police moment while also my favorite is also the the girl stand like just the logic of the fact that she's standing there holding up a phone but like the av club guy cameron like zoom like. It's all very like everything that poor kid is thinking he's just how him right and vance. Probably just i bet you. Vance is a little bit of a tyrant right in his. Av club thing. Making sure that like the sound is right for his big announcement and the lighting. They have a whole thing and then like the kids. Sam pants like zoom in zoom in because all the other kids here and essentially see this confession. At least we're led to believe. I would literally live for a youtube video that was like highschool morning announcements being directed with bad news. If it was just like a series of watching highschoolers like you know talking with the morning news and getting interrupted and told it's nine eleven like literally i would love that is there has to be the collection of all that footage but there has to be some hilarious moments in their truly. And i you know. I just i think i think for this school. The question is do you continue the title of most inspirational or has it been tainted you know. Is this something tradition that continues or is it a tradition. Nobody wants to continue. Because you know people are dead. I don't know why they would really have to scrutinize her system. I was you know basically. They just were like vibing off of someone for a month that took her wig off and decided they were going to give her this prestigious award. I do wonder if the mayor is involved in these rules. Like who does the superintendent have a hand in this. Like what like. Is this just a really informal thing because it does seem like everyone's really froth in for at. Yeah what also feels like. People are really easily manipulated to write like. There's that local instagram celebrity. The local internet at local instagram eyebrow celebrity mentioned. I want to be like a douche lake in twenty nineteen if you like worse sort of the popular girl at your school and you went to school like us and you had two hundred followers. When you were actively making tutorials that would be completely unimpressive. Two hundred is not that much. That's that's not a dent. There are people who went to camp who have more followers than that But i will say this was one of the more sensible uses of social media. I've seen i will say lifetime has stepped up their game regarding how the pro-trade social media in their movies. So yeah after this. Yeah we have that exchange. Lauren reagan at the coffee shop where she was like. You know what i did wrong. Like all the things she confess. How could my sweet girl do this. She gonna get better and she's like yeah. She has an. We cut to the exterior of what looks like a haunted. An absolutely haunted winter-time mental institution. It is that built. Looks one thousand years old. Casey is looking at a photo of her in reagan and she finds out that she has a new roommate. The new roommate reaches her hand out and says hi. I'm new here. I don't really have any friends in casey. We turn the camera to see casey in her fucking crazy ass dollar store wig from the beginning of the movie and she's a shakes. Her hand says hi. I'm casey in her very charming voice. So that was it. That was the movie most likely to murder. I just say this was based on the title. This was better than i was expecting it to be and i liked some of the performances a lot net knowing i think i think a again that like the medically they had some threads that were woven in. You know through the whole thing. I thought the acting. You know we We had some disputes. About whether or not that. The scene on the chair with harlan was as good as i saw it. Real real were the real. I thought it was real. Were real worthy for both actors. You aren't so sure. I in gang like i was like who is he. I felt that i knew andrew while air. But he's just some fucking strange. Are that likes this. Yeah no. I sure. I was going through a lot when that happened. But i definitely i would like to see. Yeah a like a lifetime. Cinematic universe where you can sort of expand this with prequels sequels. I would absolutely be down for that dude. We should totally go in. I have Fucked in connect. Spare not really. I mean meaning. My manager has their phone number talked to them before. I don't have to connect there meaning weekends schedule. A general if you wanna go in and pitch the fucking cat murders lady movie you direct i right. We become millionaires. Can can we also at that. Same meeting ask if you can wear the blue dress that casey war for most likely to murder. It's probably right there. And they're like on the third floor of their build. What if they had it in a case like fucking hard hard rock cafe definitely of the whig. The first time. I went to the lifetime offices that are in There in century city. Now in those fucking spooky buildings. For the first time i would end there. It was christmas in. They had like the tree out and they had like all the lifetime. Posers were christmasy in iraq on lifetime christmas movies so much but like i was star struck. A little. Like you know when you walk in. I felt that way marva says while i was like dude. I'm a little star struck. I've grown up my whole life seeing this logo and here. I am in the room where the people who make this logo work room where it happens. Can you believe that sometimes like even like not not necessarily the ones that are like. Oh wow. i'm driving on this lot. It's like the random rooms where that person happen to produce a movie that you're obsessed with something iconic happen there. I always find it gets starstruck in in sort of not usual places. Maybe a will i. I really enjoyed when you like ten years ago. When i like whatever was fifteen years ago when my first general meeting on the warners lot and like there was the gilmore girls set. You like. they're like park there. And i'm like parking on the gilmore. Girls said that's where the writers rooms were two broke girls. We were in like in this warner brothers. The warner brothers Tour would pass every day for all right. Can i tell you my favorite writer as duane pool. Have you heard of him. No he's a lifetime writer. I want you to check them out. He has been a very good sport about the fact that we've talked about him but he's low key written probably one of the worst but most of the best lifetime movies that we watch on the shows. You gotta check out. Dwayne pool andrew waller. I'm gonna wink anywhere. You want us to link to on your social text me those links when we're done rocca in the description of this podcast that they live forever but is there anything you want to tell people to watch except for.

"Is. Rise looking into her show Logger Affi Bob. My first introduction Haley was when I was a young child there was like a Disney. CD I had gotten for one of my boxes and there was a bunch of Hillary songs and there one Haley on called girl in the band. Not Forgetting and then I remember hearing that and Min. Finding her a couple years later in. Jesus what's that movie called she? This. Together, they were these like socialites is there. Are. Sealed it. Sure is our lips are sealed in put a face to the name of hatred off and I can't remember the fees earned I'm sorry can't forget the face Hayley because she looks a lot like my cousin Kaley Kaley is exactly that Haley spelled so inland. Artsy Haley Daphne see my cousin in ten years. while. While Kaley God bless I I'm so thrilled that we're doing a Haley Christmas movie for Real Lake it's it's the only way you could really get into a Christmas movie neither are rumors in by rumors. I, mean from the limited research that I was able to do on this because it is hard to track them back to where they came from much like you sometimes find. ABC Family Movies, or. I don't know in the lifetime collection CBS movies Etcetera this movie a lot of people are referring to it as a harm hallmark movie, but I don't know if that's just because. They assume Christmas movies are coming out hallmark. I think that it might be safe to say that because in my head most facilities our homework as well. But I feel like this one leaned a little bit too into like. Sex and sexuality to be hallmark. Movies are a little bit button and kind of shelved when it comes to that. I agree and this was a two thousand twelve joined and this makes me think of my boy Duane Pool who did thirty things to do before I or ten things to do before I'm thirty and I bring up Dwayne full a lot because while I mean ever since I figured out exactly who dwayne pool is in this lifetime slash TV movie universe. I've had so much respect. But this movie does feed into a lot of sort of like fun stereotypes about like being a young person and a hipster and things that make a lot more sense when you think about the fact that this is in two, thousand, twelve but I went on this tangent to say that I saw Stephen Colletti was in the. And I was like Oh Steven from Laguna beach is in this movie. That's like literally the first note in my in my notes and I watched the whole movie in forgot that Stephen Colletti was in it until I watched the titles at the end and I was like Oh shit he was in this and I was a who could he have been and I'm like Oh shit the hipster boyfriend so. I I definitely think that this was like sort of a products that could only happen in this weird time that we lived through of like two thousand, nine to two, thousand, fifteen of just strange entertainment. It definitely was weird time and this movie came out the year that I actually graduated high school and that hitting very strangely because there are some references later on some references later on in this film. I did a little digging into that came at times that were very, very different from when I was a senior in high school and appointment out later but it really slapped you in the face. Okay. While I already bubbling with questions to ask you. So let's just get into this movie. We open up on the Manhattan skyline and we hear a punk rock version of Jingle Bells the American Classic Jingle Bells. Stephen Colletti against demon cloudy from Laguna Beach is in this movie I read straight off my notes there. So we go to this Christmas team Bar Mitzvah and they're playing. Havi. Aguilo pronounce the name of that. Song yes. But the the version is going on is so confusing the first time I watch movie I did not watch it alone and it was so jarring with how fast everything came in this farm. It's. Oh Yeah. No, it was all happening way too quickly and I was like, Oh, I'm tracking like this is you know Haley phys planning a party, but it happened. So quickly that I couldn't register that it was a bar Mitzvah in then I sort of dead and then she starts goes off to the corner to talk to her boss and like it go down with happening at the party with her and I was like, wait a minute. Why is a Goddamn Christmas tree behind her at this? Bar Mitzvah and then it all came together for me. This this process behind Chris the environments that really shook me because it's a merging of two cultures that may be was a special request maybe it's blended family. I don't know it's not my judgment to make her boss comes in. So hot with telling her, it's a hot mess and then telling her it's great. So I felt like that was like a little emotionally flirty between them were her boss like who looks Exactly like an older Courtney Cox like a Lifetime version of that she definitely has the Black Irish going on and she wears dark clothes like we're supposed to know that Liz is like arcand as soon as we meet her like she's got her own thing going on and they had this moment where she's like, oh. Yeah. We're never doing this again and but it's like her weird way of affirming Haley that this. Christmas themed Bar Mitzvah. That potentially Liz her boss that was ridiculous is actually going really well, it was very tongue in cheek and I left the whole the Korten reference because I have a note here from when she first comes on screen and I said, why is her boss? So filtered in? Does she look like Demi? Moore, with Shannon Doherty from charmed her Oh my God. Yes. Ask Her face and may put so much filter on this woman who, I did not know Connie Celica until the end and I was very surprised by but her faces. So Phil turn that her nose blends completely entire cheeks all see his nostrils. And like Larry. Going forward that close up on her face she is so filtered and then it goes to poor. Haley, who still looks beautiful by in comparison looks like she's like steady Cam compared to like flawless Airbrush HD. I wonder if that was in her contract or if that was the production making a decision, like get your dog review was like put a lens on her Oh, if I had worked for that long had that illustrious of a career in a lot of films and soaps I would make them filter me to jet. They have to walk me around like I was made of wax. Especially in twenty twelve I mean I don't know of Haley's more or less of a hot commodity now, but I would think in twenty twelve. Haley is still sort of on the up and up. She's done well, now I feel that she's like such an established star. In this world. Oh yes. She's getting I. Just checked out her instagram this morning and she's getting sponsorship her cage. She's posted all this is like, Hey, looks good I haven't issue a little bit with her lip filler in this movie, but she looks beautiful the whole time until. We get this. WEIRD SPLIT I'm jumping a how how I now while okay Okay. Go. So When we get to our split, which I referring only lovingly called the glitter flip every time it happened in my notes. Okay. Naked us to Haley's and one Haley has shining in balancing her hair beautiful curl she has volume her skin is bright h and then we get real life alternate.

"Name Milky with a T. Book. Apparently his middle name is Montgomery if I am GPS, simply is to be believed. He could be yeah. So when you Google Tilleke tilk Jones is the I mean it is effective in that sense from. The martyrdom, no matter what you're charging for. That's hilarious. Well, that's the movie you guys. That's he's watching. Do we have any more like demons to get out before we wrap this up? No. I think it's just like. First of all, just the fact that it was written by a computer like that's just so apparent I mean we set up before we'll say it again definitely the fact that it didn't. It didn't even try to be a black thing video. I. Was a little disappointed in not. Like it wasn't even trying. But then also Hain just that bat shit ending she has a flashback. To the flashback of him, gunning down his poisoned parents which she hasn't even seen. She doesn't know what he looks like at twelve. that. The, fuck you to us like sometimes they think lifetime likes to do like, Oh, you thought this movie was GonNa End Sane Fuck you. And let me tell you when I was watching this movie live on television in a hotel room in isolation in Houston. I don't recommend it. Don't travel pandemic y'all anyway. That was 'cause you know at the end of lifetime movies, they're just like trying to cut to the next one as quickly as possible. So the endings sped up it sort of turns into a smaller square and it was just like she's having this flashback and then immediately the like jilted lovers trilogy started with a new title card and it was like with lash it was so crazy. Can we end with a MD review from someone name Tom F zone. I would love to hear what Mr Sloan I'm assuming pronouns sorry to Tom. com I well, I don't know. So five out of ten stars on the title is just like Daffy Duck. Oh now. I don't know. Another one knows movies tip a very typical with average acting but again, it's also entertaining. You Watch waiting to see what happens next even though you already have a pretty good idea angeles comforting kyle were far from the best acting moments in why to Kyle and Michael have to look. So similar like most lifetime movies, Michael Gets clobbered with a baseball bat to the head, but he's fine just like Daffy, duck? Down but he gets. Again raring to go just like daffy duck. Soon. Linsey Godfrey's hair for no for no other reason than it was different from ninety eight percent of the other typical leading ladies. I. Also like it s been location just. Just like? Also liked. But. Then there's someone who gave it a fucking ten a ten and I feel like I don't know what ten out of ten is it's just a woman has an affair with her ex boyfriend and the boyfriend finds out and dumps her the woman shoots her ex boyfriend's self defense. That's your tonight at ten. Jesse. Back, ever top just like. Swing, it's kind of that's honestly how I feel this podcast treats movies. Honestly Johnny Happy Oh my God and you know you know what's really missing from film criticism is like the the empathy. The empathy and just like the the caring way that you compare it to something. That's like so in his Daljit from childhood like Daffy. Duck. Reviewer should be employed by major publication. I mean just like Daffy Duck. I can't. So. Please be as semi regular on this show I absolutely fucking love talking to you. I, feel like you were just. Just such A. Fertile Soil I. I really enjoy. Malls you are a goddess among women you got among all people regardless agenda I just I do. My biggest dream in life is to do is to rate a movie with your fucking rating scales. Why would love to come back again if you whatever happens yeah. I think you know what? Just for you next time you mine whether we're in season or not you're gonNA have a special chance to to hit up we have to go. One because a movie like this, doing a scale with the movie light does a wouldn't pay the scale justice I. Honestly next time I do a dwayne pool movie it should be with Yo because doing is. An icon I've only come to grow to like respect Wayne more than I could've ever the first time his name left my lips. It was with such disrespect and now I have nothing but respect for Duane Pool. So those the best relationships just like the best thing, the growth, the progression like it's so beautiful and you know what I love is that Dwayne showed me love when he had heard me say nothing but hurtful things about him. Oh That that's a kind soul or just dwayne didn't even know all the things I had to say about his quality is no you guys all have Richard. "All right so we are covering for this episode. Our guest is Sammy Hunia. Who's also so our producer you mind semi everywhere on the Internet? Shook the description of this episode. I mean like you guys now how it goes at this point but anyway anyway. We're doing seven things to do before I'm thirty. I wanted to do a little Rom com moment this is filed on IMDB under comedy drama and fantasy which sounds right. It's definitely a fantasy. Sure of someone. Yeah definitely But basically weekly the IMDB. Summary says. Laurie Madison is a young woman turning thirty returns to her Colorado hometown discovers childhood list of seven things to do before she turns earns thirty and finds that she has yet to achieve any of them. So Laurie sets on a frantic and humorous quest to accomplish some before thirtieth birthday. Just three weeks away away. All right great. This is what the movie is but it so much more than that. It's this is made in two thousand tate. Do you know what movie this reminds me of like the style of it or the entire movie. Just if you were to walk away away with the vibe of like this is a lifetime version of a certain movie Oh is it thirteen going on thirty. I honestly think it's five hundred as as of summer. Go on. I'll tell you why there's this weird quirky retro style that they're trying to work in for the lead in the whole time hi most notably though her I guess. I don't know the guy who wants to love her but that she can't love knows her Favorite Song because why she sang in an elevator. The first time they met Okay so I WANNA ask you five hundred days of summer what are you you have to tell me because I figured it out. Okay and I know who y'all are stealing from where it's coming from where it's going and that's because I put in the work so oh I will say that we do you understand what I'm saying though now I think your little bit. It's very lake. This is the beginning of Manic Pixie Dream Girl Central for America League or Don Garden State. Right you're not yet hit five hundred days of summer America's a real L. Boehner for a weird girl and this girl is weird in the way that like you know it's very read it like not that kind of girl all layoffs weird where it's like. Okay it's actually not that strange to not prefer you know what some fucking basic check reads Cozma Osmo actually half the female population university. Mian right. Yeah I get that. So it's very not that Kinda girl it's very you know this is like that. It's like the Anti lifetime movie where she's not that pretty but here's the thing? The lead is fucking stunning. If anything I mean not Michelle Trachtenberg is is that Oh my God. You're so right dude. I was like screaming. I was like this is not not Michelle Trachtenberg convert. She has someone else in her face too though. And I can't figure out who it is but you're so right now that I open it Amber Benson. Yes No. I don't affiliate Amber Benson should have this movie held against her and incapacity and it does seem like she works. It seems like her work has picked up over the last two thousand eighteen eighteen two thousand nineteen calendar year. But I. I don't know I mean I don't know. I think this is just an acting role that you need to say no to someone to do it. But it's very I'm quirky I don't I don't have anything about my life together but leg. She like I it just it. was that right. Mixture surprised lifetime caught that lightning in a bottle though. Oh sure that's like that's like that's like them coming out with like shade of get out. I see yeah they they need like Doug your hooks until they can emerging like sort of John Reid that would define a generation which is the whole eternal Sunshine Manic Pixie like five hundred days of Summer Garden State. Like you name it all I see. Yeah okay so I feel like this is their version of that but again this is sort of in the vein of like I me wed or Queen sized where. It's just sort of opens up a little Bob like an overly done Like credits which reminds me very much of a very brady movie or something like that. I like sort of seventies floral. Yeah it just I. I yelled like in the first two seconds when it started. I was like no. It was not having a but at the same time it was between this and the bad twin and I still am glad you picked this good you. It was really light. It was a romp billing the league. Also there's a lot to get mad at a very bad so it's Yeah it's basically like a like a little lifetime Rom Com like movie which I find to be the the most frustrating and I feel like I want to explore that in season six maybe season. Six's knee discovering. Why these make me so angry but yeah So we're GONNA just go into this I should say that all of the title is in lower case. Yeah that for the numbers very very upset and the I. What do you think that is? Is that Tumbler culture. What is that the only the I I am as I I? I don't know I think that somebody just like forgot how titles work I don't know I think when someone goes all lower case that's a that's always as a an aggression will maybe it's because this list of hers was written when she was a kid and she didn't know so her grammar sucked yeah. Maybe that's generous Chris. I honestly feel like it's much more insidious than that I feel like this is some sort of Internet troll on us but it is only also two thousand eight. I wish I wish I knew like the exact weekend this came out. I feel like this is capitalizing on an era that I was very much the victim of okay so I will also say now initiative then came to me and I was watching this short also I was watching some people and they like just the way it's shot made me feel like it was already washes just with people I had to. But it's shot like an alternative children's program like Beakman's world. Oh yeah that's a good call and somebody else knows Beakman's world but somebody else so good yeah belly somebody somebody else said that. It looked a little bit like but I'm a cheerleader. Just the way that the the colors are especially in the beginning. I don't think I've seen but I'm a cheerleader. Anyway let's play fifteen to eighteen and just sorta let you know this is going to be fun quirky She's going to be I. Guess what we don't know yet that I didn't know when I started my notes but will we will know. Is that like. She's on some sort of blurred out background now. In the more we get to know her. The more that background will sort of come into focus and we're GONNA learn about where she's at right now but she's speaking directly to camera in her voice overs usually and There used used lake writing. The voice over was necessary to set up the movie but throughout the rest of the movie. It's used as almost an afterthought oh good which is lazy writing. I okay but like no offence. Actually no truly no offense to Duane pool fool who will see what else green Wayne Wayne will while you're looking at that. Did this movie remind the beginning being remind you of the truth about Jane starts with the video starts with Jane talking directly to camera. Yeah I guess so bird like. Here's my life wait. Let's start with the beginning like all of that shift about James like this is the last movie you know what I forgot. I totally forgot brought about that. And you're exactly right. It's such like it's the tool. It's the tool if you need to tell a fucking story and get it done in one hundred twenty seven minutes that the way you tell the story crazy okay but yeah. No dwayne is written a lot. I will say he's written wedding at Graceland. Oh big hit a hallmark. It looks like he also was a staff writer on hotel. The love boat lottery the biscuits. What the fuck is the biscuit? Would the children's cartoon okay. So yeah I mean Oh Laverne and Shirley in the army. He wrote that in the eighties. Okay so our man's been around for a while I have to say I do love the idea of Duane. Poole deciding that he's going to write his own manic pixie dream girl like his. I Dunno I guess late forties early fifties. I would assume maybe mid fifties based on the timeline. That's a move. Who Do you think Dwayne is Dan? Ear Michael Oher. Think Duan's all of them. I think it's much darker than that. I think they might be Laurie. But also but also like lawry's mom. There's a little bit of jewel in there. WHO's The I'd only I've ever had in character more than Joel? I wrote down it like halfway. Maybe a third page it. Goes you jewel a bunch. Oh my whole thing is very the explicit about Joel Skidoo our first part fifteen seconds to to eighteen. I love happy endings. Fairytale Jerry tell kind ever after I mean when I see a movie and I know that it ends with a kiss or a wedding I can sit back and enjoy all the surprises leading up to it and the thing is life isn't always like a movie. Sometimes life is only well life. You just have to live is best. You can and relax even if the group can't his name is Dan Heart. We met in high school and I knew right from the start he was going to be my personal happy. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Maybe I better start the beginning. Our Little Girl Lori stop please. Could we just stop right there. And not only because because my mom gave away a middle name that I've never really cared for. This is way too far back. We need to fast forward about thirty years braces Summer Camp Past College.
