There is, I think Louie Gohmert of Texas is now filing some lawsuits. Against Mike Pence. I'm saying that His constitutional duty of basically rubber stamping. What the electoral college is doing is unconstitutional. Even though it's in the Constitution. I've put out an editorial today. That basically is asking the president to stop the crazy I know you believe called one of his so called dream team lawyers. S. for funneling money improperly two candidates and campaigns but that doesn't mean everything he says should be discounted I mean he's painting and extremely vivid picture of what president trump knew when he knew it and porting to partner as the major role the president played as how at what he describes as a cult leader harness tells MSNBC president trump tried multiple times to fire U. S. ambassador to Ukraine Maria bottom edge but secretary of state Mike Pompeii and former national security adviser John Bolton didn't go along with it China's economic growth sank to a new multi decade low last year as Beijing fought the terror for with Washington the world's second largest economy grew by six point one percent that was down from twenty eight teams six point six percent which had been the lowest since nineteen ninety still economists expect the interview S. "Half in this whole Jeffrey obscene story happened while we were gone which I don't know how many of you knew who that was or follow this or what not but it's got so many tentacles to it that are interesting about about our culture about the change with the me too movement etcetera etcetera money the legal system at sept from Deborah J. Saunders is the White House correspondent for the Las Vegas review journal we are told the Deborah may be called away and any second on top secret journalistic business hello Debra how are you I'm fine how are you doing I'm at the age mate made in America showcase about today so I could be I could be brought back to look at American made products it it any moment I'm surrounded by American made products exists come over here if you'd like anyway so just brief capitalization Jeffrey have steam ease financial would advisor investor financier to the to the very rich in New York for years and years one super well connected politically what else should we know about the guy before we get in the latest like the bacteria that had a file or the fact that he has she did you not really kind of while he just likes to have sex between eighteen right soldiers in your car and put it in a day yeah the whole the whole me too movement thing is so interesting because this story had been around for years he got accused of it years ago it made but it didn't get the kind of public attention that it would get today for whatever reason I don't know why we were soft on rape for so many years in this country but now he's in serious trouble we got a so we should mention is super Kush plea agreement that he got state charges and and deb's been covering that angle so we'll see what so some of the things that he was doing that to explain what a bad guy he is so basically of Palm Beach police went to the federal authorities because they're afraid that the local point going to really do anything about the fact that this rich guy who had a house in Manhattan of the palm beach private island place in pairs with had sex with minors about thirty teenage girls and they they wanted to see him prosecuted and they were very that was not going to happen so Alex a casa within the US attorney look at the case it was a distasteful lost and in the end he brokered a deal where the where the Southern District of Florida would not prosecute him for these crimes but at the end would agree to plead guilty which is huge right and then he would go to jail it was supposed to be for two years and after that he would and you can't restitution to the victim so he ended up going to jail for thirteen months at the Palm Beach county jail turns out and this is sort of like a wall I even though he was a sex offender who was not allowed to have work for awhile he went to work in the private office twelve hours a day six days a week wow suse hardly ever in jail he he he without not in jail not for practically any thinking person of yeah the way it was a really really likes them thank you we heart for a guy who was a repeat offender of having sex with you know fourteen year old girls or whatever age under age girls he because in most people think in what in what way did his wealth that his power keep him out of trouble we know that yet well we know that he could hire the Dream Team of attorneys cool cool cool cool really and he hired white black with gold helps us a William Kennedy Smith charged with rape and acquitted he had Alan Dershowitz from the OJ Simpson case he had can start a residential drug here and there a couple other big names that you know I think Floridians would know better than we would so he had this team and also of course you can hire private investigators and across the road the one of the reasons why he preferred to have a clean elegy was afraid he couldn't win in court and with the Freddy will couldn't win in court because he said this in a in a very gentle way there's a lot of money floating around there right so obviously there is the ability to fight for that and we shall we since then we've heard stories about a couple of days or whatever that would come that may have happened but also they were investigating the market here they weren't they were actually looking into their background they could impeach them they tried to do that with two people and so it was just are there reasons to believe that's the one that they're trying to actually get the prosecutors thrown out of their jobs yeah wow okay yeah and esteem they're the reason we know the name is he was friends with Bill Clinton in this back in two thousand eight when he got all this trouble that that that bubbled up as a story briefly that Bill Clinton slow on the guys playing regularly turns out he's friends with trump or used used to be true friends of trump also your beer pretty connected if you are have a personal relationship with multiple presidents yes and the chances are that if you are a rich person and York and Palm Beach you've got the eight ball the you that president that you've got a lot of the people on that I don't know like to hang out with each other and at the end and you know he wants he wants he went to jail and he came out and hired a PR firm is sort of rehabilitated himself this is a real thing that happened I mean this is not a I may be getting a call back in a second okay you know I I I I actually understand why across the did would be dead one of the things he said first it was eight anybody else from going after you just said Southern District of Florida couldn't imagine your could you have a home Intel with other places could you and so ten years later and by the way the Miami Herald this is a huge story not Intel our the cockpit was concerned that connection as trump's labor secretary that's correct right okay we we we know you've got all those ever will fill in the rest of details Pritchett coming on short notice today go look at this find American products yes I well and you know but these are Fisher space pen from boulder city Nevada just when you thanks for the tip Deborah J. Saunders so White House correspondent Las Vegas review journal thanks Deborah okay so fill in a little bit of the background here this Jeffrey Epstein who did have an island and it turns out he had a shrine temple built on a violent yeah I was just watching a drone flyover video of the private rate the island I'm gonna make an offer for I'm not rate be but I would you know that calm that contractors mentioned had a medieval air a lock on the front door that appears designed to keep people inside so he was trolling the high schools for hot fourteen year olds and get them to his place I need to have him give me a massage and then at some point he would rape them or convince them to do things that well there's no consensual sex with a child right so but yeah he would would pay the money or sales I'll give you a thousand dollars ten thousand whatever what but in some cases according to the woman that was on the today show the other day he just held them down right the mob so yeah so we did both and you got a guy you got an assistant who he testified this is part of the the the whole court order anything like he justified that he took a up twenty four roses to a local high school wants to deliver to a girl he sending roses to a high school girl wow and he had hundreds of these girls over the years that would come to his house in word would get around he can make a lot of money by going over giving this guy massage but some of them it would turn into sex or he would just plain hold them down and rape them and they didn't think they could come forward if they did come for he'd pay him off he paid off hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars to people took to get him to sign these you know keep their mouths shut agreement right and all that sort of stuff he was getting at one time according to Alan Dershowitz who who is his lawyer Eckstine would get three massages I'm using my finger quotes because he was he was raping you know young girls right in their children he would he would get three massages a day while in various times caught nonstop Perman so sick this guy was like Caligula needing to have sex with three you know teenagers a day against their will or were either physically against their will or emotionally against your will because they didn't think they could they didn't know our how to refuse a a a powerful adult with a lot of money right so Bill Clinton knew the guy well traveled around with him I'm not somebody that's going to immediately jump to the conclusion that Bill Clinton had any knowledge whatsoever of the the young girl stuff you can you can know somebody pretty well and have no idea of their their the third private sex needs yeah I think it is a parties were pretty wild in that Billy Jeff was at a couple yes you know nice it category I absolutely believe Bill Clinton like hanging around him and there were hot women around all the time it wouldn't surprise me a bit of Bill Clinton wasn't you know get involved in some of that but the under age stuff there's no there's no reason for me to think that was going on in truck knew the guy way back trump actually some kick to the guy out of his golf course many years ago Adam removed because Epstein had a hit on some under age girl and trumpet and booted out from cooperated with prosecutors to try to get that thing going but they had a falling but but but he end up seeing were close before them yeah so I'm H. to me it's just it's mostly just it's the Johnnie Cochran role the the the color of justice is not black or white it's green if you've got enough money I mean how bout that you hide your Dream Team lawyers to go after the prosecutors and try to dig up enough dirt on them brought them out of their job right what does it say about the guy that he had I mean he made Jeez Dream Team look pathetic right please a swap out Robert Kardashian for talk and star or black or whatever I mean that's that's the actual Dream Team with that team we had to play he wasn't going to risk of going to court in any other angle on this the media angle of it so he's well connected mostly with Democrats which trump was his entire life so I mean it's Clinton trump and and everybody you rich choose a Democrat in Florida in New York nobody had any interest in taking up the story about this guy that's the reporting that came out over the weekend the Miami Herald Herald editors only got interest in this guy when there was a truck connection right so the guy that was involved in making the deal that people would be appalled by trying to drape didn't get any attention until there's some way to make it look bad for Donald Trump right until his secretary of labor whatever that is a good happen to be one of the prosecutors back in the day who made the plea deal and that's when the Miami Herald gets the did the stomach to really cover this case and go after absent sickening is that for all of society so even when the outrage ought to be real it's fake or at least is politically modems riven by it for the wrong reasons ride ride this super rich perv whose be happy to rape your daughter as an eighth grader he gets to just keep doing it and then lots of people know what he was doing and as different just pointed out New York could have gone after him he's doing the same thing in New York other prosecutors in other counties he's got he's been doing this around the world around the country for other people to log all gone off from not just this Acosta dude that was in trump's orbit only interesting if somehow this.

you know I think Floridians would know better than we would so he had this and also of course you can hire private investigators and across the road the one of the reasons why he have a plea deal as he was afraid he couldn't win in court and with the pretty well couldn't win in court because he said this in a in a very gentle way there's a lot of money floating around there right so obviously there is the ability to buy appointments at hot and we shall we since then we've heard stories about a couple system whatever who thought that would happen but also they were investigating the market here they were they were actually looking into their background they could impeach them they tried to do that with two people and so it was just are there reasons to believe that's the one that they're trying to actually get the prosecutors thrown out of their jobs yes wow okay yeah and esteem they're the reason we know the name is he was friends with Bill Clinton in this back in two thousand eight when he got me all this trouble that that that bubbled up as a story briefly that Bill Clinton slow on the guys playing regularly turns out he's friends with trump or used used to be true friends of trump also you're pretty connected if you are have a personal relationship with multiple presidents yes and the chances are that if you are a rich person in New York and Palm Beach you've got the eight ball see that president that you've got a lot of the people on that I don't know like to hang out with each other and and and you know he wants he wants he went to jail and he came out and hired a PR firm is sort of rehabilitated himself this is a real thing that happened I mean this is not a I may be getting a call back in a second you know I I don't understand why across the did what he did one of the things he said first it was eight anybody else from going after you just said Southern District of Florida couldn't imagine your cooking or has a home Intel with other places and so ten years later the Miami Herald this is a huge story not Intel hours because it was concerned the back connection as trump's labor secretary that's correct right okay we we we know you've got those ever will fill in the rest of details Pritchett coming on short notice today go look at this find American products yes I well and you know but these are Fisher space pen from boulder city Nevada when you Deborah J. Saunders or white house correspondent Las Vegas review journal thanks ever okay so fill in a little bit of the background here this Jeffrey obscene who did have an island and it turns out he had a shrine temple built on a violent yeah I was just watching a drone flyover video of the private rate the island I'm gonna make an offer for I'm not rate be but I would you know that calm that contractors mentioned had a medieval era lock on the front door that appears designed to keep people inside so he was trolling the high schools for a hot fourteen year olds and get them to his place I need to have him give me a massage and then at some point you would rate them or convince them to do things that well there's no consensual sex with a child right so but yeah he would would pay the money or sales I'll give you a thousand dollars ten thousand whatever what but in some cases according to the woman that was on the today show the other day he just held them down right the mob so yeah so we did both and you got a guy you got an assistant who he testified this is part of the the the whole court order anything like he justified that he took a up twenty four roses to a local high school wants to deliver to a girl he scented roses to a high school girl while I'm and he had of these girls over the years that would come to his house in word would get around he can make a lot of money by going over giving this guy massage but some of them it would turn into sex or he would just plain hold them down and rape them and they didn't think they could come forward if they did come for he pay him off he paid off hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars to people take to get him to sign these you know keep their mouths shut agreement right and all that sort of stuff he was getting at one time according to Alan Dershowitz who who is his lawyer Eckstine would get three massages amusing my finger quotes because he was he was raped and you know the young girls right the children he would he would get three massages a day while in various times caught nonstop person so sick this is like Caligula need not have sex with three you know teenagers a day against their will or were either physically against their will or emotionally against her will because they didn't think they could they didn't know our how to refuse a a powerful adult with a lot of money right so Bill Clinton knew the guy well traveled around with him I'm not somebody that's going to immediately jump to the conclusion that Bill Clinton had any knowledge whatsoever of the the young girl stuff you can you can know somebody pretty well and have no idea of the third third the third private sex needs yeah I think it is a parties were pretty wild in that Billy Jeff was at a couple yes you know nice it category I absolutely believe Bill Clinton like hanging around him and there were hot women around all the time it wouldn't surprise me a bit of Bill Clinton wasn't me you know get involved in some of that but the under age stuff there's no there's no reason for me to think that was going on in truck knew the guy way back trump actually some kick to the guy out of his golf course many years ago Adam removed because Epstein had to hit on some under age girl in trumpeting booted out from cooperated with prosecutors to try to get that thing going but they had a falling but but but he end up seeing were close before them yeah so I'm it's to me it's just it's mostly just it's the Johnnie Cochran rule the the the color of justice is not black or white it's green if you've got enough money how bout that you hide your Dream Team lawyers to go after the prosecutors and try to dig up enough dirt on them brought them out of their job right what does it say about the guy that he had I mean he made Jeez Dream Team look pathetic right please a swap out Robert Kardashian for talk and star or black or whatever I mean that's that's the actual Dream Team with that team we had to play he wasn't gonna resco going to court all and any other angle on this the media angle of it so he's well connected mostly with Democrats which trump was his entire life so I mean it's Clinton trump and and everybody rich choose a Democrat in Florida in New York nobody had any interest in taking up the story about this guy that's the reporting that came out over the weekend the Miami Herald Herald editors only got interest in this guy when there was a truck connection right so the guy that was involved in making the deal that people would be appalled by try rape didn't get any attention until there's some way to make it look bad for Donald Trump right until his secretary of labor whatever that is a good move would happen to be one of the prosecutors back in the day who made the plea deal and that's when the Miami Herald gets the did the stomach to really cover this case single after absent sickening is that for all of society so even when the outrage ought to be real it's fake or at least is politically motives riven by it for the wrong reasons right right this super rich purple whose be happy to rape your daughter as an eighth grader he gets to just keep doing it and then lots of people know what he was doing and as different just pointed out New York could have gone after him he's doing the same thing in New York other prosecutors another counties he's got he's been doing this around the world around the country for other people to log all gone off from not just this accosted dude that was in trump's orbit only interesting if somehow this gives trouble black I possibly right it sounds sick is that well there are a lot of ins and outs and complications but my headline is because of from selection a serial rapist is off the streets there you go how to cure low thing of trump they finally prosecuting the guy could you assume that if Hillary had one there to been no interest in going after the obscene thing and he just might be the secretary of health and Human Services he would get to keep doing it I guess because right whatever's nobody cares combination nobody cares and you're you're going after you're taking a big swing a big guy and it's not gonna be easy all right but they didn't have the stomach for it unless it was deal sing to me well that's what we're dealing with my friends that is the reality of the modern world what's wrong with these pervs what what is wrong with the guy like that is that a power thing is that sex thing he could have sex with as many eighteen year olds you want all around the world you're that guy that's not good enough for some reason is that a power thing respect even though it's part is both ways obviously Arrested Development cases like those hot thirty six year old high school teachers are sexing up the loot the boys in their classes again is something wrong with their sexual development to Nancy Pelosi I don't happen to have the money and power to.

"Nicole Brown Simpson in Ron, Goldman were found murdered outside that townhouse in Br. Brentwood in, you know, a lot of people have heard people kind of laugh about it this week. Oh, you know, remember if the gloves don't fit you must acquit and remember the slow speed Bronco chase. And Chris, it was the first time we ever heard the word car dash, Ian, because Robert Kardashian was one of OJ's dream team lawyers. But I think that, that what people seem to forget, and this is what is so troubling. Is it was such a grisly gruesome, murder, and the fact that OJ was acquitted after we heard really from the grave, Nicole Brown Simpson? And we heard about the domestic abuse that was documented because over the relationship the marriage that she had with OJ, there were pictures. There were accounts to friends there were injuries that you could see. I mean real bloody. Bruises. And in addition to that, you heard just her frantic voice in doubt one, but a number of different recorded calls to police, and then, of course, there were the eyewitness accounts in that trial. But again, O J was acquitted for it. What I find most interesting, and I think this is what probably affects more of us today than just the memories of that trial. And the first big crime of the century, is that there are a number of not just women that men as well suffering at the hands of domestic abusers, and a little bit later on this morning around six oh, seven right after the six o'clock news. We're gonna be talking with carbon paper from the journal piece house, and she's going to tell us. How the perception of domestic abuse has changed in these twenty five years since the murders of Nicole Brown. Simpson.

"They sucked you think that there are more people with Starling vocal band tattoos currently, as a Simpsons reference than as an actual, Starling vocal ban. One hundred thousand. What a disk for that band. I mean honoring I'm not sure afternoon. Delight right. Sure. Oh, pretty good doing. All right. They got anchorman money. Yes. So we are cutting to bleeding gums funeral. And this is there's a sign on the cemetery. That says come for the funeral stay for the pie. We get Reverend. Lovejoy l- Rev. Joy ruining this blood and guts. Murphy is bleeding, and he responded to Susa phone player. Yes. Sousaphone. So funny, you didn't know him. I know him. And I won't. And then, you know, and I won't rest until everyone here knows who is. And then a real origin story moment, like Lisa could absolutely turned into a Batman type figure after this, holy shit. Yes. If given the movie amount of time, like God. Yes, I will eventually leading, yes. I love that. And this is when Homer who's also at the funeral. Marge and I won't rest until I've gotten hot dog. What do you do? We see this funeral and the seats are completely empty other than Lisa in the front row. And we do cut to, you know this recurring hotdog I seen, but why aren't margin Homer like sitting at the meeting their daughter losing her Ben tour. It's funnier as cut away. Reveal. What do you do? Follow my husband around lady. He's putting my kid through college. I love that guy. So this next part is so relatable Lionel huts comes by and explains that they won the case, and that they're gonna get one hundred thousand dollars legal fees, including the crack team of lawyers, which includes Alpert Gershman, who could fit three billiard balls in his mouth, ever forget that image. It's such a I guess it's a riff on. Ripley's believe it or not with, with that guy that was featured over there. Oh, that's funny. I had no idea why that was happening. I just think it's the funniest thing we went to Ripley's believe it or not museum, a lot of when I was a kid. My parents didn't take me. I was part of a YMCA summer day camp. And that was like one of five field trips. We took for some gun off a reason and actually gave me more nightmares than it really should have. They have a guy that like fit a bunch of Bill your Bolson his mouth, and it's he's prominently featured in the lobby. That's so funny weird, but I, I guess this dream team lawyers. Right. Is that the yeah yeah yeah that's so funny. And so they find the after all of that he's going to have five hundred dollars cool, right? Then we have like Bart second depressing fantasy of. Yes. Yes. Yes. Like his fantasy of the five hundred dollars is he's like he's like a like a big shot high roller at the casino. He loses all. All his money gambling, and it's like sad in the fantasy and he cuts back to reality. He's so psyched on this. Read the winter back. Cool. Essentially the same joke, it's five hundred dollars..

"Lawyers. The legendary athlete belly everyone knows that name. Right. One of the most famous attorneys. Garrett seriously. No, okay. Oh my God. Blink does that ring a bell? Something about a cherry tree. No. That was wrong. President. You're kidding, right? Getting worried I'm really wary. Anthony lafley barely one of OJ's dream team lawyers was interviewed for an hour on a podcast. And he was saying that he's been disbarred, by the way can practice law. He he's blaming the Jews for it. Some people claim that they live their lives being subjected to horrible kinds of prejudice extermination during World War Two and now behaving in the exact same Tero Tata totalitarian suspicious spirit by suppressing the one thing this country should be proud of. And when all said and done that's unfettered free press. So they can say everybody in the press throw Jews. And that's the reason why he is declared bankruptcy and he's living above his girlfriend's beauty salon in Maine in a in a room. He's literally broke F Lee Bailey wrote these books get nothing where did it all go IRS code like five million dollars IRS really penalties? Lynch's all gone. How could he not know better than that? That's the question. I always ask. These people these smartest people in the room guys made his whole life the law law, right? How could he not know that I don't know? Let's.

"Mr president. Gotcha. What CNN should be ashamed of itself. Having you working for them? You are a rude. Terrible person. You shouldn't be working. Go ahead. I think that's very rude person the way, you treat Sarah Huckabee is horrible and the way you treat. Other people are horrible, you shouldn't treat people that way. In in gyms defense. I've traveled with them and watch them. He's a diligent reporter who bus big fan of yours either. So. So let me ask you a question. If I can you repeatedly you are the best Mr President, you repeatedly over the course, just sit down place. Well, when you when you report fake news now when you report fake news, which CNN does a lot. You are the enemy of the people. Go ahead mister president over the course over the course of the last several days of the campaign, sir, sir at the end of the day that was yesterday at the White House and standing about ten feet away from all of this. Major Garrett CBS's chief White House correspondent and the author of the bestseller. Mr. Trump's wild ride the thrills chill screams and occasional blackouts of an extraordinary presidency. Available at all the bookstores and Amazon dot com. Major Garrett you had to listen to that twice. Sorry about that actually sent to add many many times actually in the intervening several hours. But yet. Now, the the preference. Unlike any other the press credentials of Kosta have been revoked. I don't think that's fair. I'm not as big as fan. But nonetheless, I believe that he did nothing to warrant the revocation of credentials. Have you taken a stand on this? Look, the White House has that Harare. But you cannot exercise that prerogative on the pretext and the pretext is there was some encounter between Jim Acosta. And the intern who tried to take the microphone from him that he? Touched her or did something that's a pretext, it feels very much to me that the president wanted to do something about a Costa's credentials, and they look for a means by which they could to some mechanism present some bit of evidence that might justify that look that's no way to handle these relationships. The president is clearly capable of fending off tough questions dealing with what he perceives to be hostile questions and putting it not his own political spin on that interaction, but signalling supporters that he's fighting on behalf of his message in the midst of a hostile media. That's been part and parcel of the media Trump's presidency since day one presidents and losing any ground on that. And I suspect this revocation will be temporary. And it will be something that the White House will probably look. Back on and say, you know, we didn't need to go there. We're gonna generate far more controversy than it is worse. And also in part of that conversation will be is that the proper deportment for a White House correspondent interacting with the president United States. I'm gonna let Jim Acosta make that decision. I'll let CNN make that decision. The way. I do it is the way I do it. I don't spend my life critiquing other reporter's questions anymore than comic spend, any time, critiquing, other comics jokes. I do what I do. I stand by what I do my visibility. My accountability is constant. And that's where we are very well. Well. By the way, speaking of comics, you on the Colbert program last night. How about that? Stephen Colbert, actually, what a great gift for him and timely turned out. He had no kidding. No kidding. And speaking of timely, the attorney general resigned yesterday, and in your new book, Mr. Trump's wild ride, you do have a whole chapter on Jeff Sessions who was the first and maybe only Senator at the time to endorse President Trump and was later humiliated by Trump while serving as attorney general, right? The whole saga has played out in that chapter and very rich detail, especially may seventeenth twenty seventeen win. He resigned for the first time Jeff Sessions gave the letter to the president on the very same day Robert Mueller, the special counsel was appointed and enrich, and I think readable detail in the book, I recount, the panic attack. Then chief of staff of the White House. Ryan Streep is had it hearing that news. He was basically. Told oh, by the way, we have a special counsel. And the attorney general has resigned just submitted his letter, and then I recount how rice grievous ran through the west wing in match search of Jeff Sessions to get him to unrefined finding him in the parking lot adjacent to the west wing and leading with him to come back in the west wing calmed down and unresolved and all of that dramatic story. Played out in the book, Trump wild, right? Yeah. I guess there. There are many different aspects of Jeff Sessions, but one that you look at I think was January seventeenth two thousand seventeen or maybe was January tenth that year. When he sessions appeared in front of the Senate and was asked a single question by Al Franken, then a US Senator from Minnesota. And he bought he Bolic's stuff the answer. He got the answer a completely wrong. He answered a question about whether or not he'd had any contact with Russians when that's not what Senator Franken asked him and in that denial of contacts with Russians later disclosures made it clear that he had interactions disclosures. There's a roaring debate still going on in session circles about what the import of those interactions and conversations were, but nevertheless tonight that there had been any the record established that there had been and it was ambiguous. What context or length or duration or? Import of those contacts were and as a result of that Jeff Sessions. Went to the ethics lawyers within the Justice department people. He trusted though, he was just meeting them for early on. And they said, you know, this is probably an area where to exercise all the other obligations and duties, the attorney general wants to do so freely and without any controversy. You probably ought to recuse yourself from the Russian investigation were a campaign surrogate you were visible you did talk to the Russians. This is the best way to go. He took that recommendation on board made that decision to uphold what he thought was the better judgement of his ethics lawyers and the reputation of not only him, but the Justice department and the president consider that an act of weakness disloyalty and from that point forward their relationship was changed fundamentally enter the work's gotta break here. But we do want to find out who's on the takeout podcast this week. Oh, yes. Absolutely. So the British ambassador Kim, Derek from the British embassy right in Washington DC, great conversation about interacting with the Trump administration on foreign policy the globe. And what it's like to be the most important diplomat for the British government on planet earth, which is the US ambassador last night on Stephen Colbert this morning on the Charlie Brennan show, the author of Mr. Trump's wild ride the CBS chief White House correspondent major Garrett the pride of Mizzou and the host of the takeout podcast and more which I think is going to be on Cam wax tomorrow night at nine o'clock if I'm not mistaken. That's right. Thank you. Charlie. Thank you very much major Garrett. Okay. In a moment. We're gonna talk to another White House. Correspondent he is the former White House correspondent for CBS radio. Peter mayor who is going to join us on the voice of Saint Louis. I wanna tell you about Dr Colleen buzzer. While we have quite the jam packed show today later beaver shock one of the dream team. Lawyers are going to be with us. Speaking of dream team. How about Gilbert fun and Colleen Bosley at the center, they both have their PHD's in audiology. He has a master's in gerontology, and they are both members of the speech language and hearing association of Missouri. So they've got the credentials. Dr boslter got her PHD from the university of Illinois Champaign Urbana, and she also at one point in her career worked for Starkey Starkey is the leading hearing aid in the United States worn by presidents, Bill Clinton, and George W Bush. It was worn by Mother Teresa and president. Ronald Reagan, and I will say this the Starkey is made the United States a lot of people like that. But you must think if presidents are wearing the Starkey, wouldn't you at least consider it also Dr Colleen Bosley insists that nobody go through a five minute past feels screening, and that's really typical in the audiology world. But with a five minute past feels screening you can't detect certain things like a mix up in medications, which can sometimes result in hearing loss. Get a thorough hearing evaluation by calling six three six four four one seventy four seventy Dr Colleen.

"Slash walk, Pat. Thank you very much. Thank you for the for the great work that you do. Take good care. Very welcome. All the success in the world on Sunday. Okay. We're gonna continue our conversation. We've been talking about the three to ten year prison sentence today imposed on Bill. Cosby couple of callers held through the hour. As we often say if you want to continue to talk about the issue, we can buy intention is at some point to pivot to Donald Trump's speech at the United Nations today, but George has been very kind. He is held over through the news. So we're going to start it off with George from east Bridgewater. George welcome next on nightside gerrad ahead. Hey, dan. Good evening. Thanks. You're welcome. Thank you felt patients, by the way. Okay. I'm disgusted by Bill. Cosby? The fact that you have a guy who's. Wealthy world Spokane has. In order to get what he wants. Controlling aspect of rape. Not tip. Assessor disgusting. Thank. The entire process. And everything highlight stuff. The. I'm old enough to remember the Iran contra hearings and everybody watched every minute of it. How old enough to remember Senator McCarthy watch every minute of the testimony and able and it was a public display try like, okay? That was every moment that was televised. Become a society. Oh, by society and given snippets of what's going on and tend to form their own opinions says. And although I'm Bill. Yes. I think that's indicative of a of a child Seidel thing that's going on right now. I'm not sure George they used to be called court TV, which covered a lot of these trials from from the opening yet to the to the jury verdict. Jodi, Arias great case in court. You got to watch the entire. Arizona, right. If I'm not mistaken. I don't remember where it was at just remember that tells you. Very well vetted. Yeah. She she was convicted of killing her boyfriend in the shower for mountainous, take something John. Okay, sign who's in Arizona, so court TV's going away. I there more channels now that we could ever imagine. But I guess it's expensive to cover these trials. And of course, a lot of these trials unlike the OJ trial, which had the the panache of OJ Simpson and the dream team, lawyers and all of that. Some. Have a bigger in college. I think. I think more people felt connected with Bill. Cosby? Well is true. But what I'm saying is oftentimes during a trial. There could be witnesses that that are important in terms of building the case, but can kinda drone on particularly to get expert, witnesses, etc. So I think what happened was the novelty of seeing a trial like OJ with Judge Ito, and how he conducted himself in court was very interesting. But I think what happened was the novelty wore off on some of these trials, and I don't know. And I stand to be corrected. I don't know that there is a court TV or even a successor to court TV today. If any trial should have been covered from start to finish. You would think a Bill Cosby trial? I agree with you. But I don't believe it was the maybe in Pennsylvania. It was but neither. I agree with you. And the caring up watching it off. But everybody wanted to have an opinion chime in hasn't. And you know, I would when people ask me about these things. Oh, I don't know enough about it to form an opinion based on it, you know, and I don't think people like to say that anymore. Instead of soundbites, and they I think people feel better informed of all things. Thing that they're not well informed about these things. Go ahead. I covered a lot of trials as a television. Reporter you may remember, and I've often said to people sometimes unless you were in the courtroom from start to finish. You don't understand why the verdict is returned as its as as returned? Now. I it's easy for me to say that because I had the luxury of covering trials in state and federal court. And sometimes there are cases that you cover as a reporter. And you start out thinking, I know this guy or this person is guilty as sin, and yet when you listen to all of the testimony, you you formed out in your own mind. To say, gee, I couldn't I couldn't convict. But I think in the Cosby case, the Cosby case has been covered so much and for so long and the amount of the number the MIR number of accusers who came forward against him. So overwhelming that people did form, I think pretty good opinion one way or the other. But we did hear a lot of differences tonight. George people who. Curly to call to call. I get afraid of this. You know, I've heard this or that. To that. And I fear forming opinions on on soundbites speculation. But remember, George what we do here at night on nightside is we basically call the show North America's back port. So this is like. The back porch. We're all in the neighborhood. We're we're in New Brunswick Rin will Quebec City Rhenish Bridgewater and come up with the poetry of your neighbors and the conversations going on. And and you get to say what you want to say. And then someone else. Always. So thank you, George H you call we'll take a break. Six one seven two thousand four hundred thirty triple eight nine to nine hundred thirty we'll continue with reaction to the Cosby sentencing three years to three to ten years in prison for Bill. Cosby he's apparently in jail in a reception center, if you will about tonight Bill Cosby is literally staring at four walls, or or I guess for three walls of some bars a ceiling and a floor and never probably feeling. More confined, then he ever has knowing that the future holds confinement for a significant period of time, particularly when you're eighty one years old he joined the conversation. I just want to again introduce in a moment. The Donald Trump soundbite at the United Nations today in the way in which some media outlets seem to delight in the fact that there was some chuckles in the audience from these diplomats from around the world who gathered on the east side of New York City today..
