"Hi, I'm Yui Xu and I'm Julie Krafcik. We're active daters turned dating sociologists here to dive into everything modern dating and relationships. Welcome to the dateable podcast. Welcome back, friends. We are you and Julie back for more of love radio on a one point five FM. People are like, am I in the right place right now? That was a good sexy radio voice there. Here to answer all of your love questions. Is this what you do at night at practice? How do you know? Have a side gig? You know, that's what I did. I used to listen to a lot of late night radio in high school because that was kind of our podcast back in the day. Yeah, I was like, does this actually exist? OK, so this is a story I won't like out our friend. This is a mutual friend of ours. I don't think you know the story. She wrote it to Dr. Drew. This is what she was dating her husband at the beginning. And she was unsure about was he ambitious enough? Was he a career driven enough? And she called in the late night radio. They put her on air and heard it. And they were just like, shut the fuck up. Like this guy treats you great. Just get over it. And it helped her move forward. Look, I know she's married to him, so it worked out good for Dr. Drew. I used to give shout outs to boys. I had crushes on on the radio. Did you ever do that? No. I'd be like, is there someone you want to give a shout out to? Dial 1 -800 -da -da -da -da -da -da. So I did that. I remember doing that. There was a guy named Bradley. I was so madly in love with him. And I used to give him shout outs all the time. He didn't even go to my school. I don't even know if he knew my name. I'd be like, this message is for Bradley. This is UA. I just want to say I really love you from afar. And if you get this message on air, give me a call. And I would give my phone number and the radio station would be like, beep, beep, beep, beep. Like, little girl, please do not give out your number in public. That's amazing. Did I tell you I used to work at a radio station back in the day? What? Look at that foreshadowing. I was at the promotions department. I wasn't actually on the on air team at all. But yeah, I guess there was something there. All that to set you up to talk about this very deep topic today. Oh, yes, it's a good one. We're just doing another one of those episodes where it's just Julie and I to discuss a topic that we have such a strong interest in. So you'll hear our voices on this episode. Yes. You know, this is a topic that we feel very, very strongly about. But we did a call out in our Facebook group of what type of topics are you interested in for this upcoming season? And someone put this down and we're like, this is a good topic. Like, what is the line of when you should stay and try to, like, make something work versus leave and go? This topic is such a popular one because we are told such contradictory messages about relationships. On one hand, you're told relationships are hard. You got to work at them. And on the other hand, we're told when you're with the right person, things should be easy and you shouldn't have to work too hard in the relationship. But once you're in a relationship and you feel like you're really trying hard to make it work, what is that point of saying I've tried hard enough? I've tried my very best. I've tried everything and it hasn't worked. Yeah. So it's time to get out. Or is it the point of like, we could try harder? This applies to when you're in like the committed, full on relationship. And I think it even extends earlier. We hear of people all the time being like, oh, I went on one or two dates, should I go out with them again? You never know. Like, when is that inflection point that you should give something more of a chance versus cut your loss and try to meet other people? And I think the other piece of this is so often there's a camp that doesn't try hard enough, right, when things get tough in a relationship or when, you know, maybe it's not fireworks or the spark at first sight, but then on the flip side, I've been here before. I don't know about you, UA, but like when you overstay and you know, something's not working yet, you just continue to try to make it work. And we see this all the time, especially like when people are in situationships, it's like, oh, if they only see how good of a partner I can be, I'm going to just keep trying to like make them see what they could be missing out on instead of just being like, this person doesn't want the same thing as me. I'm going to move on. How many times have you talked to someone who've been in a long term relationship and you ask them how long it was, and they always say two years too long or one year too long or should have ended at the second year. And I would argue that there is no overstaying in a relationship. I feel like the overstaying years are the trying years. You're just trying, right? We only think we overstayed in hindsight, but when you're in the relationship, I get it, like you really just want to try your very best. So as we go into this conversation, maybe we can just get that out of our heads. It's like, you're not overstaying. You're just trying to work through the entire process. I agree with you in most scenarios, but I do think there are some when like you're clearly not on the same page and some of it's in fantasy worlds. And I've been there before and I'm saying this from someone that's been there. Like when someone's clearly not telling you, like they don't want a serious relationship, I've stayed to try to make something work where it's just an uphill battle. And I think we also need to recognize those situations, too, because, yes, if two people are fully in it trying to make it work, I agree with you. But a lot of times that's not the case. And it's like we have selective vision of what we want to see is happening. I wonder about that sometimes, right? Because our conversation today will be about your voluntary decision to leave a relationship. When should you leave and when should you stay? But in some situations, like in your previous relationship, you almost need something to happen or realize something for you to want to make that change. Yeah. And I have a friend currently in this situation. She just cannot see, although everybody around her sees that this relationship cannot last. I almost feel like she needs something externally to happen for her to like really see this clearly. Well, we're going to go through it today. We're excited to dig in very deep, because as you could already see, there's a lot of different scenarios. This is a very wide topic, but we're going to go there. But before we do, let's hear a message from our sponsors. This episode is brought to you by Drizzly. Tonight seems like a great night as any to wind down with some wine after a long day. But what if you're already in your comfy clothes deep in the couch with your hand glued to your remote? Nobody in that position wants to get up and leave the house for a drink run. And with Drizzly, the go -to app for drinks delivery, you don't have to. You can choose from a huge selection of wines, be it a bottle or two of your go -tos or a little something new. AJ Poked COVID so It Poked Back
"I'm sure everybody out there knows about my situation, my COVID battle on April 14th, which then turned into pretty bad pneumonia. Intensive care, both lungs. Very, very tough fight. First couple of days, I mean, I know I've given you Facebook updates, but I might as well. Now that you're all here in one spot, first few days were rough, man. You know, I've poked COVID in the chest a lot. The last year, you know that I've talked a lot of shit about it. I said just live your lives. You know, keep clean, be healthy, but live your lives. And that's what I did. I must have taken 25, 26, not 25. 26 plane trips in the last year, I swear to God. And between Vegas and LA and Chicago, I had a ball. I lived it up. I lived life. And I prescribed to that. But somewhere along the line in that last trip, it got me. I'm not shocked it got me. I mean, you know, I think we're all gonna get it. It's one of those things we're all gonna get. It's what you do once you get it that matters. So I wasn't shocked I got it. I said, okay. I called Dr. Drew because I'm fancy like that. I have him on personal dial, and I just said, Dr. Drew, I just got, I just got positive COVID tests. What do I do? He says, well, you sound mild, you know, do this through that. Not much you can do. They don't give you any steroids there. They just tell you drinking liquids, take your zinc, C and D, which I do anyhow. And any other account of stuff you need for headache or cough, blah, blah, blah. That's what they send you home with. It's very weird when you go home and you kind of wait. I bought an oximeter which measures the amount of oxygen in your blood, and they say once it dips below 90. You should go to the hospital. And mine was a 95, 96. And then one day, 76. And I definitely felt sicker. There's no question about it. But I wasn't like coughing and hacking, and I just just hit me. So I said, oh man, got the fuck out the hotel. Went to the ER and the fun began. And since I was pumping COVID in the chest and showing it my teeth and giving it shit, giving the Chinese all the shit they deserve. I knew I was in for a battle.

"Okay. I don't think i'd probably vote of what she was imprisoned for jail. And she's out of jail now. I know but what would she seems. She seems smart and well put together. Sort of what. I think too says some some substance related stuff. But she doesn't seem using right now she seems sorta soberi toothbrush would come out my eyebrows toothbrushes in. There are no one in it and i got this from a dollar store for a dollar. Okay the toothbrushes in. There are nowhere near as nice as this so they the bristles on them are very soft you know like when you brush your tiki for like you're basically brushing with your fingers and it doesn't matter who you are in there at. Your breath stinks because the toothbrushes don't work good for her of learning eye shadow i shudder. We would take deodorant and magazine. Rub it really good on the color that you want. Oh my god now. I'm gonna take my finger interesting and just get some of that color. Wow i mean if you you know women and makeup holy shit look at the links. They'll go yeah so interesting as a male it's like wow we're what is that motivational system. Woo good for that eyeliner. I still cannot believe that we did this. Because i don't know how. Lead poisoning works with being that close to your eye but we would take a little vassily now so we would put the bassolino on the cement walls and then we would take a pencil dark colored paste with the pencil see the dark colored pace that we can use for like a liquid eyeliner. Now wow let's graphite it's that really leads that's good. We'll man who else. Yeah it's christina loves these jail. They are fantastic. What what is she. What is she kind of wisdom to impart when she think. Oh i could survive jail. This is fascinating that we women have figured this out. Or she knows i'm impressed. I'm impressed christina christina really prioritizes What's it called resiliency. Yeah yeah this situation. That sucks and making the ashton. Yeah that's what she's most attracted. Yes i'm totally into this. I for the not so much. That as much as my god the the the the resourcefulness and then the motivation. The motivation to to make up the face to me as a male. Is there more. okay. Now i'm gonna do because we need to add a little bit of color space more the more deal fancy. She's very dasta now. We're going to che's we're going to use coffee again. I wanna talk. I wanna talk to bottom of us. I'm going to do it just like i would do jail. How i would do it in jail. Was i would take a toothbrush with the paste on their god. Bless guys she's using mascara the full she snap and right now come on geez. she's fantastic. We done we got one more trick for hip stick. Yeah i was gonna say we've got to get the lips okay. Typically i would use cool eight or something like that order to make lipstick. But i'm gonna use a dorito das- Gross yeah well. Oh then a little more that that to graphite kill up i just i feel like i've watched like a performance like a great musician or something man. This shit's wild. Yeah oh my god i never. I never thought i'd be interested in a makeup. You no me neither and all the ones on talk and stuff you know sort of interesting and wild but nothing compares to this or i kill you are garth wants to kill someone. I got a couple of garth. Updates here all right so you tell us what you think. Oh this is. If he's a bigger psychopath than anyone that you administers a test on so i was. I was In nashville during his Stadium show got cancelled. I got stuck in that storm. So i feel a kindred spirit with him go ahead now i know you have I think role in nashville beat clip in a minute but if you thought about expanding that and going onto the movies maybe be a cowboy. Yeah told them ever need somebody to be bad guy. Which is weird. I'd love to be you. Don't wanna be. I know i mean you look like a good guy you okay. Guess i'd i'd rather kill somebody abby fun. This is that same weird spooky quality. He's got the uncanny valley it is uncanny valley and my my god. It is to kill someone only in the movies. But it's like. I'd like to play a bad guy in a film to just because i would like to have people go. Oh my god that was you know what i mean. I like to just sort of sort of been impressed with counter type sort of behavior. But he's not saying. That's so contrary to who i am he say. And that's what i'd like to do. And then when and then when sort of sort of confronted with the fact that he looks good like a good guy. He gets sort of weirdly distant. Right weird lights the uncanny valley part where it's like a robots answering right like you're seeing like his true emotion where you're saying. Oh yeah i'd love to kill someone but it's kind of a little bit. Felt like the floor dropped out. You know what i mean like. There was like no emotion like this weird sort of totally felt like they didn't understand him. Yes yeah. I know what you think you know. And that's the robot part. I it sorta seemed empty and like whoa this. If here's what he should play as a character on west world you know what i mean. A robot he'd be perfect couldn't agree more. I agree with you and have this uncanny valley thing. I don't know what this is here. Let's try let's watch this again. You could pin pell said to me. It looks like something from like the eighties. When was the i mean. This was a super long time. Okay every sort of done up late eighties. okay go. no you have A role in nashville. Beat ryan shaw clip in a minute. But if you thought about expanding that going on to the movies maybe be a cowboy. Yeah told them if they were need somebody to be bad guy. Which is weird. I'd love to be you. Don't want to be bad. I mean you're a good guy you know i'd rather kill somebody that'd be fun. Yeah he he looks off into the distance and then he had a little moment there where they went. Oh no oh they see me. They seem oh shit our own. Yes oh no look at that. Whoa though the bad things oh yeah exactly exactly holy crude juanita. Pull the curtain back. This is getting weirder all the time now. We have another video of with him. Right gotten i. I have not been interested in the garth stuff until this. I don't know why this is. Hokey me give me the update update and after national stadium. Yeah so this is just him. Trying to be human humanoid k. Everybody garth here. And the garth brooks stadium. Show is coming home to nashville.

"You're at an age however where it's got to be taken a little more seriously if you're in your twenties you think it's probably nothing. But in your forties it can be tumors. The bladder prostate cancer can be infections and it can be nothing needs typically nothing frankly but you do need to see urologist to get that checked out there are cancers that are relatively common in your age group and just want to make sure it's not one of those things it can be. It can be a venus malformation in the bladder a lot of different stuff more often than not. You never really figure out what it is and it ends up being nothing. I'm curious if If it goes away after a certain is there a certain amount of time where you should be like. Just wait first and then if it goes away after that then you're probably fine or soon as if you know it's funny as as a man that's a male way of dealing with any medical problem like i'm growing new head on my shoulder. Let's see if it goes away for a couple of weeks. It's like that that's what we all do. I understand it but a different responsibility right. I gotta make sure he takes care of things and doesn't put himself at risk and be he's in a different age group. If we're you or somebody younger than you. I could tolerate that. No problem but getting your forties fifties and sixties. It's time to start checking things out if you have word symptoms whiting without touch. Anybody able to do that. Thank god no no solo. No i'm older now. When i was in my teens and other time in my early twenties got so horny on a specific girl. I could feel the white building leading back. No pants are boxers touching my rocket and boom way. Describe as you how you can tighten up your junk. When erect right. There are some women. Some women can do this to some people have orgasms just doing leg lifts in the gym. It's not uncommon. Should be so look. I know exactly only done this twice. But during those days i could do three times a day. I twenty to forty minute sessions with well. it was. Well it's normal. I know what you're saying but anyway yes you were younger than and that's your saucer levels are all max. Yes that happens actually know what when i was younger. I think i have called on account with nocturnal emissions. Does that only happen when your sleeping could that happen right when you wake up. That's still technically asleep. Emission the when. That's actually the time when it typically occurs right as you're in your ram and you're sorta waking up. That's when those things happens twice in one nine. Congratulations weird nerve. Feeling while making brown twenty year old male most the time. When i have a weird nerve feeling pain in my right hand and right shoulder. Some more exaggerated when pushing but it sometimes happens on. I'm not pushing ida pinched nerve in a couple months ago that affected the same area. So it's probably your leftover from that affected disc problem so when you're applying pressure that disk is bulging out a little bit and it's putting on. I've never heard of that before but it's very very very interesting. Or let's see do have a fucked up in her clock Not quite far shit related you ever. Since i was young and there's been a phenomenon going on where it's slightly fucked. Me up intrigues afar. I set my alarm in the morning. I've pretty much always wake up just before the alarm. Nothing significant has five minutes or my husband works early shift off when we got around to thirty. Make them breakfast most of the time. I'll even wake up right before that alarm as far back as elementary school. Okay this is nothing. This is good. This people can do this when you're asleep. You're not dead. You're in a altered state of consciousness but some people have very very effective inter inter clocks and they can easily just know that at that time when they're supposed to wake up now people like me. I go into deep sleep at a certain point and there's no no way i can bring myself out of it. Okay one last thing. Hey hitler episode. You discussed what happened when you pass out. Forty two been passing out. Since i was a teenager thought it was random but a few years ago is able to pinpoint what triggers it. When i go out of my mind wait. I'm curious what was going on when brain would when you're passed out when i go out my mind is still active kind. But there's no connection to anything. It's almost a dreamlike state. Where can hear people around me of those any at any time but can't get my mind body connected. Wake up your blood pressure. Goes so low to your brain. You're actually in a certain state of kind of i. Wanna call a waking coma that when you pass out because blood is drained out of your brain and the these the centers that are responsible for maintaining consciousness shutdown as the blood comes but pressure drops. And when you're down the pressure starts coming up against you have varying levels of awareness of what's going on and some of it is distortion to somebody. Is you think you're aware but you really not and dick require somebody to get you up. How much brain activity. Losing your passed out depends on the individual. I can't say that it's always one thing with any given individual. Some people have seizures as they black out. Have sort of hypertensive seizures. Other people are out for long periods of time. And they have no recollection of what happens. It depends on the person and their particular physiology voice message. Hi dr drew. Hi booth boys joplin here from arizona. I have a question regarding my boyfriend and is homemade version of birth control. Essentially we wait till by period and then we let him jump. They caught white lows in the first day or two and then the last day of my period i bleed it out on a scale one to ten how dumb redeem or like we really smart and just figured out a new birth control method wanna know. Am i going to get pregnant pissing on the beat me. Keep it hindsight you bet coming up in the may johnson so proud of herself all for all the for all the farewells. So yeah you can still get pregnant. it's not as though it's as likely as you know the you have about three to five days after ovulation pregnancy typically occurs and you the the egg has to be in a certain spot for the you know usually in the tube as it's moving down the tube but you can actually start bleeding before the egg. Actually mrs implantation. It can happen now. Some women are sort of perfectly time with this but you can't predict it. There can be more than one egg. I'm you can get pregnant during that state not as likely as three to five days after ovulation but you you're not bleeding anything out. There's nothing pushing out of you. It just the lining of the uterus that starts to come off as the corporal slough. dm degenerates and that's it. That's all that happens and so it's not it's not something pushing out or not able to get in fact. It can quite easily infections and things get it can get in during the period because the cervical slightly more open so yes you can definitely get pregnant. Not as likely but definitely you're going to get you could get pregnant so another voice message. Hey jill john john just listen to the episode reform about how the girls would china's located outside the by having anal sex though you're going into the butthole now. Now they are special environments that pass through the body and have all kinds of special features and qualities to them and the absorb tive elements of say the small bowel and even parts of the large bell. Interact with the body right. It's not like they're they're detached from the body. They're just not inside the body in anything inside the body is completely sterile. Like i said you could have sex with somebody's. This is christina's thing. You could fuck us. Podcaster Jillian Hamilton on the Difference Between Physical and Emotional Cheating
"Talk about the difference between physical and emotional cheating and the difference in how males and females respond to those two topics. The difference between physical cheating and emotional cheating is just what it sounds like. Emotional cheating has really proliferated because we have this online space so actually people feel a greater sense of familiarity and closeness online often than they do in person in person. You gotta have date number one and it might be three weeks before you have date number two. It's hard to get together but when you're online you have constant access to this person so everything from good morning sugar to night night and everything in between your with this person all day long and it gives you the sense of really knowing their lifestyle how they spend their time you might get you know reactions on things that happen to them. Throughout the day so emotional cheating can really be very powerful and very common because we all have the device right there with us. How do you differentiate between emotional cheating and just a friendship emotional. Cheating has to have a secretive component to it. This is something that your partner your spouse doesn't know about it's something you're hiding and it's more than likely giving you a great sense of thrill you know you're looking forward to hearing from this person. I when i first started this. I started talking to everybody. Anyone i'd meet. I'd say oh so. Have you ever dated anyone. Who cheated. And i met this random stranger and he told them about the podcast. He said i have to tell you. I've been having an affair. I really would you like to talk about it. And he said yes. I send music back and forth with this woman every night and my wife has no idea and by the time i get up from this table it was dinner time. I'm going to be running back to my car to see what music she sent to me. And i live for it every single day. That's an emotional affair. I mean he didn't tell his wife and he was so attached to her. Yeah it's wild and it is. It's like a friendship that serving some need so it goes a little further than

Nutritional Psychiatrist, Dr. Drew Ramsey, Reveals Top Foods to Beat Depression and Anxiety
"Let's get into some of the nitty gritty here so somebody suffering from depression anxiety and they come to see you. What are some of the foods. The heavy hitters. You'll encourage them to at least consider to walk. People through food categories. That just have more of the important nutrients for anxiety and depression. Same thing i do in the book in a certain way which is focusing on food categories and thinking. Okay like mega three fats. Look important in the research for mental health and brain health. You'll only get launched into maintenance fee fast and a few places seafood or an algal supplement. Where does this person get it. And then how can we work on that food. Category in the book go through each of my favourite categories of food. there's a leafy greens and then thinking you know if i think if you in new think salad i want you to come up level your game a little bit and think more about things like pesto or kale chips or had incorporate dark leafy greens since your soups and stews. Same same with seafood. Think about okay. A lot of people don't have a sardinia anchovy game how can we help you work on the suit categories but those are some of my favorite foods in the book. I have a list of power players and their things like this anchovies wild salmon red peppers. There's some nuts like cashews and seeds. Pumpkin seeds are great. Another one of my players dark chocolate and so he's idaho's anxiety and depression. I'm not wanting to overwhelm them with this list of foods or make them feel horrible. They don't eat these foods. I hope that said much. More kind of hopeful. And empowering message that if you're not eating any seafood and you haven't been taking any omega three fats. There's some opportunity here to put some points on the board in terms of depression and anxiety. And if you don't eat a lot of plants and you have a lot of fermented foods. Wow you know the data suggests your microbiome which are all the bacteria in your gut. It's not is optimized as it could be depression anxiety. Let's try to have those foods. Endon soup that helps you. And i think it's thinking about nutrition as one of the arrows in our quiver when it comes to fighting and beating mental health disorders.

"Thought no. He's got something here. Let's go one that. I'm not no the only thing that i've ever thought was like if if it's a kink or fetish that i can't understand i go back to what you said about at twelve and thirteen. Whatever happens around yes. Yeah era for males for males and it just sticks at so unfortunately for him maybe some sexual but it was a girl actually said assist gendered male four for a female. That had the fetish. Oh yeah which kinda usual right. In and females aren't the common fetishists and meals are more prone to fetish and so the rule that you said about twelve thirty on that that does not apply to win. Not so much. I you know i. It's not a hard festival. So i'm imagining something. Like that may occur. But i don't see it as much I was having a period sex with a tina style chick last august. We all understand what i'm talking about here. Got some blood miller advent over the next few weeks i noticed some lesions appearance i went to the. Va thinking was. Herpes was diagnosed with molesting contain contagious. You guys in. Alaska is molested now. Luscomb them mo l. l. o. obscure mo l. u. s. c. Um they affirmative dermatologists froze them off Been close to nine months. I still have a deep scarring where the spots were anything to get rid of them. Are i'm going to scare potentially part. I'm sorry this is from the bird that's malacca which little war look at things and they usually occur in the pubic region they can occur on children disseminated all over the body. But look for malacca s. t. d. you you're gonna see it in the pubic there. You go and you'll see the pubic area. Typically there it is must contain gio. Some is a virus. It's no big deal. It's very common And you usually accurate them or burn them as happened here. But the problem is the burning caused the scar and That was not great dermatologist practice. I would say that one. Of the that your cursor is on the upper right. That's really what they look like this a very characteristic picture. Yeah that's what they look like and people get very upset about them when they really think that herpes. They're all kinds of things. Yeah they look while they don't look like a normal thing that you shouldn't worry about. Yeah but you shouldn't and they spread you do if you had them do need to get them under control because they will multiply much like the awards and i feel like now probably a good time where If you had sex with someone that you're not sure where they've been and you see spots like this on you go get an std. Check well because where there is one. There's frequently two or three and so you which that's why when you come in with that will also check you for other. Std's because usually where there's one there's more than one that's just the way it goes Okay what else we got here got videos for me. I'm having such good time. Oh no i think we might be all done the videos but we got some some more fun of voice. Keiko voice message good. Hey what's up there my Big doctor i'm just wondering how from sparked smell so much worse than shit actual shit you know if you walk into a public restroom after someone just got done dropping a massive log. It's not like as bad as like someone just rips in gnarly farc you know i mean sometimes afar far could be so bad. You got to leave the room but you know it's not pleasant but you know after someone takes a massive chip you. Can you know. stay in the same bathroom. So i'm wondering if you have for me anyways to be okay. There we go interesting. It's an interesting question is a thinker. This man is a thinker. And i actually appreciate the question. I think This you know the push. The fart out. Conversation is not nearly as area. Does this one But let's think about it this way. The methane gas produced by the bacteria is what is the smelly fart. And it's the same methane that's produced in the shed that makes the shit smell but in the case of the fart it's a large volume high concentration of said gas. So it's going to be worse. Democ sense yes. And i will say that some farts are worse than shits. But there are some shit's that are worse than farts. I think that's generally that's a reasonable position to take just think it's a larger volume. It's a large volume of the gas of the methane. If it's indeed the smelly kind of gas and it's it's specifically that gas that's highly concentrated. The shit has other stuff with it. So there you go. That's actually very That's a very interesting point. Very thoughtful very thoughtful. Next game voice message. Hey hitler have a burning question and yes. I'm talking about my penis Whenever i have this weird combination of alcohol sex or masturbation and then urinating. I had this very intense burning in my penis Puree threats to be specific It's only during that combination. If i am sober and have sex or masturbate and then p. after i'm completely fine but if i even have some sort of alcohol in my system and that combination happens it's an intense burning that lasts usually for a hour to in. It feels like a half to take shit but nothing ever comes out so just wanna see what that could possibly be I appreciate it feathering brother brother. So here's the deal Sex is an irritant to the re threat. Alcohol is an irritant to the erie thrust. You're getting a double whammy there of irritants to the re throw both which you're evidently sensitive to and it's this this urge to defecate is sounds like a pupil exegesis spasm which is something that can be triggered by yuri throat irritation. So you're getting sort of a triple whammy here you're having enough to europeans to bother you. And then trigger. This pupil exegesis spasm. Which is kind of visceral and uncomfortable. Pain in the pelvic floor and You know yes. I more fluids more fluids might help you wearing a condom would help you if you want to prevent the rotation during sex. But it's and maybe. I don't know what you're doing in terms of your sexual activity or mass batori activity but you've got to kind of maybe take it a little easier. It's all right. stay away from the sounding nother no sounding another.

The grammar problem is upset with the forty weighed forty up. Thirty eight jesus in this. We're looking at a guy. With a bluebeard and a red beard. We're looking at a beard. That clearly belongs to a thirty five year old. And not a forty yeah. He should be happy if somebody called him. Forty what's going on with the roof. Is that a plane. Or is he in a plane nice in his just has like some shit tucked into his sun visor. I think that's weird looking up there. Okay all right give me more. I mean it's not fed smoker status. But i'll agree. I i see. I think he's keeping a plastic tote bag up there which is a wild place to keep wild. Plays this loose again. It's sort of interesting. Its defining my range of folks. That i'm interested in those. I'm not here's one where. I am not You don't wanna meet this guy. I am not i am not interested. I'm not into all cool. people. He's cool. But i'm not interested. Maybe like this cooper's okay. Good as i am looking for justin bieber's number. Can you find it for me guys please. That's more in the zone i'm interested. Yeah drew you have beepers number you. Give it to them right. I don't believe i do ahead. His mom's for a while But of justin's true she used to come on each cnn nsf. I used to do interviews with hurston. She's actually a really cool lady and this guy kind of interests me. I mean look at that. That's a part is most interesting. I think the purple hair. And i'm interested in what's connected to that face. You know what i mean. I mean the brain inside of it. No i mean the body. I mean how much who i mean. what's going on. It's very interesting. So i'm just interested. I'm not sure. I wanna go visit him like a with rpc. I'm just interested anymore. I see your half of this guy. Here's just more time. Here's the last. Tick tock we got. My cousin. Got a warrant. For p p p. fraud. She faked a panic attack when they came to pick her up. This beach gun and knock herself out. Is that her head. she's bouncing around. Yeah i've seen people do that all kinds of stuff like that and let's see they were not faking it for a p p p fraud. She faked a panic attack. What they will do. Sometimes those are Go down as non epileptic seizures. And sometimes they're fictitious and sometime they're not fictitious in that case i'm suspecting it's fictitious because it's motivated by fraud so where this roy moore fraud. Give me a voicemail. Hey dr drew my name is yvonne. And i had a quick question about a guy that i recently had sex with that could easily get an erection but the second laid down it would automatically get soft and then we got an stood up or got on his knees. It would get hard again trying to figure out what was going on and possibly blood pressure issue. Should i maybe ask him to go get his blood pressure check. But i'm definitely not going back away. Anyway thanks great one. Let me confirm it. Yes definitely go to the doctor. Yeah go to dodger. But i love the fact that she thinks it's like well what you take this position. The blood drains out of his pianist. The i'm going to. I'm going to predict and this may or may not be true but i'm going to predict that. He had very specific masturbation. Habits go on. Men sometimes get into this any back me up on this in into zone with their masturbation where that's zone in anything outside of that is they. Just turn off very quickly then. This is not a common thing. I've seen this not. I've seen this happen. I mean i'm i'm the opposite. You're good anywhere. Well not does that. But i like the challenge of not knowing like if it doesn't work right now. I like the challenge of being like it's gonna work right now. We're going to figure it out. So yeah i'm a little different on that but but i get what you're saying like i think in the beginning. It was like that where it was like. I liked to specifically kneel down on the ground men like it has to be lying down some people that can't be lying down some guys. It has to be can weird stuff but here. Here's something i know you guys are both into which is vomit fetish Tim from oregon six gender male. I have a question about what might be a fetish. When i used to do a lot of opiates a lot. But the thing is my girlfriend at the time would see me puke and would force me to make our immediately. How did i asked multiple times. Pleasers brush my teeth. Nope make out literally the second after. I finish vomiting. What the fuck is that. I sure hope that anal starts at fifty for me and my wife to keep my in tight. And i'm i'm guessing that the vomit fetishists is not your wife so some people instantly wet. I guess some people involvement i. I don't really understand it. It seems to be when we used to go and look at those clips. We can only tolerate so much of it so we never went deeply down that path. You has opinion about this. That's it sounds pretty wild to me. It's it's hard to to sexualize the it's hard to understand. Why not just the vomit but also the taste in your mouth like the acidic like it doesn't use good. No thanks to the only thing that i've.

"I'm becoming calling from texas. I just had a quick question from something. I heard about on your mom's house. 'cause you know we're talking about advice that you gave her about seeing after sex or nothing after sex. You're saying in general but not pushing too hard My question is specifically about being after sex. I am. I'm a hot white trash coming up. I like to be sucked a lot. Man so i know that you're supposed to pee before an after sex but sometimes most times after a real good pounding. I have to push really hard to get the p. to come out i'm not trying to ruin my pelvic floor or anything like that. So i'm just looking for advice Shirt i'd be pushing so hard to get all that hot white crom out What what should i do. You mean dr drew thank me. She is the absolute best. Is the it makes me think we that people submit video questions we really. Should you know what i mean. Don't you want to see these people when they ask these questions. All right if you want to submit go ahead and record yourself keep it under a minute and send it to dr drew after dark at gmail.com. Yes i think. I think we need video questions. I think this is the new this is. This is something. I look forward to in two thousand twenty one. Yeah video messages. You all thank you. Because because i i wanna feel that connection with the caller i mean i right. You want to see her face when she saying how much come. She's getting dumped. It's too good. it's too funny Yes i do So more more liquids honey more fluids right so you have a greater sort of urgency to go at gallup or a day or whatever just a little more and i. i'm not a huge water guy. But i think in this case And the idea with evacuating your bladder. After after a pounding is that bacteria gets pounded up your urethra into your bladder. And you want that to be washed out if you can the more volume the better. So if you're pushing real hard yet you're gonna push the out your vagina. But that's not really the goal here. The girl the goal is to evacuate the bladder so bacteria go back out and don't get set up in and cause a bladder infection. It's really not going to do much for st is or anything like that. It's just just a way of reducing the risk of bladder infection. The becomes more significant as you get older. It's not that big a deal now. What was christina. talk about what i was saying. Don't push what i don't remember. This was we we talked about prolapse or something. You guys don't remember i. I don't know it's kind of bleeding bleeding. We gotta be careful. You're the you're on. How the mommies listen. They listen carefully. Yeah we know okay. It was because christina pushes a lot yes she was saying she pushes and i was telling her to watch it. Yeah okay well good. I wish i could remember all these conversations. They all run together. That was when you were talking about. I think The vaginal or the pelvic floor. And that's what you gotta talk about baby. That's your flow. All right that's what it was. This was during the role plant in the same era essentially cornflakes yeah in fact to cornflakes. Okay excellent hi. Mommy and booth boys. I'm twenty-eight i've been having an issue with incredibly pungent b o For my research. I guess brome hydro sus Had a lot of home remedies found a line. Changing my diet of also try to doctor prescribed or through mice and solution which didn't work. That's good idea because it is bacteria usually do that. I've also tried antibacterial soap. My papa tried to scrub my stinky under up to three times. The shower This usually last three or four hours of male right mail. Yeah you may want to try to shave the hair. The underarm to that might help This is serious effect. My personal ever keenly aware. There's something called Rotting fish syndrome. I think it's called Rotting fish syndrome. Something like that yes. I've met some ladies that let's look it up. Dead fish center. Dead fish center called the trimethyl. I mean urea or fisher or fish or odor syndrome. Fols condition characterized by the presence of trimethyl. Amin a tertiary. Amin who's odor is described as resembling that of rotten fish in the sweat. Urine and expired. Air terrible so look at look up fish odor syndrome and and check out some of those remedies Let's see We'll still twice today. Started including myself. I'm so sorry won't be that long. I violate the protocol. Hitler pissing me. Beat me high hitler You might want there are prescription strength. Anti deodorants. Also so you wanna hit it from two angles. One is the the sweat production. And you might want to talk to your doctor about prescription through strength. Deodorants in this is not hypertrichosis. This is something different And then also from the bacterial standpoint you might even try some systemic antibiotics to see if that makes a difference I i know this can be very frustrated and not a lot of great solutions from my understanding voice. Message hold on. I got some more questions. Okay so you earlier. You recommended possibly shaving the armpits because share is what holds. The scent is it. Yeah yeah that's why we have armpit here. We wanna smell each other we want. Why are private parts have hair to be able to contain the smells back. In the day people identify who they've been with based on smells and things and they could identify who the per. It's a throwback. it's. I'm not saying that humans necessarily had a big dose of this but Animals do animals can identify each other through smell and the smell is in the hair. And that's you know that's where we've retained. Our sense is down below and in the armpits. I had no idea. I thought it was like the help with with friction to slow down your arms for moving too fast food. Where did you get that idea from. I went to a trump university. That's that by yourself. I think water polo players. Say that right. Say it's for swiftness. That they probably wear swimmers and water polo people shave their pits to make swifter through the water. Right for air missiles. That definitely happens for sure. But that's not why they have here right. That's winning your rid of the hair. You know what that is a crucial part. That is an important point. This year. another voicemail. Hey i am twenty. Two years old. And i am twenty one weeks pregnant. I just got out of the hospital with a stroke. I have a blood clot in my sinus dane. I'm fine now. i'm taking my medication. Whatever but i was worried that when my husband goes down on me. But i'm gonna come so hard it's going to knock that club bruce and i'm gonna have another schroeck possible. I need to be worried about that. Should we maybe not go so hard Thanks but i'm coming up in may maybe don't go so hard at the beginning i i love. I love the delighted stroke patients that a stroke. So this is a tr- you said. The sinus vein. I think you probably mean your transverse sinus. Right and the transverse sinus thrombosis you can show me picture of transverse sinus thrombosis there. It is in the skull. The transverse sinus is the collecting system in the ninna note. You go back you can see it better. You can't really see it. Oh there it is on the lower left corner. You see it better. Lower left leno. laura left that one. Okay that's shows that's that's looking down on the skull. And that's the vein on the left that can form a cloud it's called transverse vein thrombosis and when you get a transverse vein thrombosis That says transverse sinus thrombosis. There was what she told us the sinus thrombosis And add to the add to your search and stroke and you'll see that It it triggers up in the search thing just transfer assigned his vein and stroke all with the air we go and stroke. And you'll see triggers a stroke in the mid brain And that's what she had as a tiny stroke in the mid brain. These are not big strokes but they are in a kind of critical part of the brain and so this is actually what hillary clinton had before the two thousand sixteen election. She got it from a hit injury. The say the story was that she fell out of bed..

Okay said the number one reason for the documentary was to continue to spread the word and get the word out about warriors heart in about the struggles that our veterans and first responders that population firefighters. What they experience so that that was that was really the why behind it then And then we captured it with the warriors heart story which is is pretty rare. Rica's it's a little bit behind the scenes of we have staff members that are on there that tell their stories and also what we do that that connect the dots. You know 'cause we talk a lot about veteran issues like hey how do we actually go about. You know what goes on behind behind closed doors per se you know with the actual treatment. Most people don't even really know what that means. And what what treatment means. Yeah yeah we gotta talk about that but keep going with this population For those that know this the population that we treat here is primary diagnosis chemical dependencies with co occurring conditions. Pt s more grief injury although buffet that we know that we all have and But that's with the active duty. Veterans offers responders. "And i wanted to know why sometimes i just had a yellow I wanna know what causes that. begins at fifty. Thank you coming up in. May and i And just beat me and All the other ones stroke by love. It love it. Love it There is there are conditions can give you air in the urine so literally there is an this is more common than you might imagine any which is what's called a wreck dove vesicular fixture but let's go direct oversight Up there see we can vesicular fistula. Okay which is a there. it is Which oh there. It is Which is a hole between the bladder. And the rectum. Go right here. Dr robotic Official repair Let's see what were low one. that's not being operated. Well that's okay. But they're they're showing you the fish oil which is a whole there. It is right there okay. So a whole connection usually caused by like a a rectal abscess or crohn's disease or something like that and so the colon literally erodes into the bladder and the colon is outside your body from any love this from your mouth. Your anus is a tube that is out site runs through your body. But it's not in your body. I remember telling you this right. I remember you told me. And that's why That's why he told me it wasn't a big deal right right okay. Good but But when it got air in there and it's got far it's an air and other things And so when it makes that connection with the bladder the air gets into the bladder and that shows up in the urine that will show up as little. You'll actually see it in the stream you'll actually see you know. Sort of cuts in the stream as they are comes out What you're describing is really more result of the forests at which the you're into the stream and the angle which the street hitting the water that's all it is not your urine. That's doing that is really just. That's just fluids. I suspect I can't think of anything that would be more prone to bubble formation in the urine though there may be something there maybe it's i just don't have taught my him. And how how did off you understand. we're going to. He doesn't have his close up but he has to give us a picture of like a photo of exactly. How downright let me ask you. Are you concerned about the way. He shifts now because this entire time. You like nothing's wrong with. There's something wrong with them right. I have to think about this. Whole sh am i. Do you think. Thirty percent of eighty thousand people shit the way any shirts. No i told you any is special. He's unique. I love him and and this is just more any so it's all good more any as good. That's all i'm saying so to team any so so but now i understand why because there's no sitting down in a job. He'd never sits down at any point in the whole procedures. Of course he stands up right. What do we do about this. No i'm not done understanding what it is yet so hold on my friend so this is this is this is like i feel like an anthropologist. Right then i've come upon some human behavior that i need to understand here in the wild. I understand but i do need a picture of it. So so the feeder towards the front right. We've been trying to get a picture of this forever. You knew he did this and you held it from me. We're just anything involving shows that happen. Well you don't have to take a shit in front of us. I just want to see the position. that's so also we get. I could talk about it. We can think about it but showing you okay. All right fair enough. You have to consent. Ford i totally understand. So so so. We're your hands during this your feet position towards the front of kind of getting that your hands are where i'm sitting i'm sitting like like a fucking rooskiy when they squad they got the like. You're doing you're doing the leg dance right years cake in your head i think so. Yeah the The because oscar who. Yes exactly way down there your way down man and hands. Just sit on your hips or something. Yeah look there. It is known as why are we looking at shovel. That's exact no that's exactly exactly it. Is that shovel from just move down. Looks like him. I just googled slob squad. So i mean it's very possible isn't system down. I don't think so sure looks like charlotte but anyway Why do slob squat. Why do slump squad answer that. This is really we are. We are into great. You got it a fun. This is amazing territory Paseo de keep going up up up there all squatting when they need when they talk their way down low like that interesting theories abound so no one knows it's unclear many slavs grew up impoverished post socialist countries has had something to do with that any any and he grew up without chairs. Anything no yeah. That's real it's like. Do they do that. On smoke breaks. I used to work Production of crushing with the russian. Yeah he's used to production with the russians. And yeah we would always squat outside and gimme tasty russian again. Got the idea. That's means a ones lunch and they always laugh i. I'm learning greek. I'm learning greek to greece. How you say one is lunch in greek when his lunch pota- in a toll missing maryono mismatch yanga put the innate. When is put the e-e-e-e-no. I thought that's a difficult accent. But she oh yeah and they put the accents and we were places to look. You can't you can't look at it and and you know what i mean. You can't look that would spell to go. No problem put the counting messy messy messy. Marianne does not look. Breakfast is lunch and breakfast is another really real weird word Put the in a pro pro. No no the okay pro. He knows more like morning. Something anyway off off of that. I want to get back to the squad so so we are feet in the front of the toilet on the on the plastic seat which i find extraordinary. You haven't clipped the Just my ass on the will twist the seat off the bolt sometimes and like a ninja. Bro yeah longtime. I get that i get that. And so we're we haven't established where your hands they just send your hips again like a russian dancer. None not not on the hips On the on the like knees elbows your forearms go on the knees because you're that far down. Yeah you're on the knees okay. Yeah forums on the knee. Okay i get it in into. Is there ever been a judge. You've never done this like intoxicated. Right I don't. I don't think okay because i think you'd fall off right probably. Have you ever fallen off. No that's extraordinary. I see special any of these people. Do you understand how much of a ninja this man is. And so now. We have not yet established why there isn't water and stool all over the fucking bathroom when you do this. Why is that. why why is it not hitting the. Why isn't that hitting the seat. Must have hit the seat sometimes. Come on now not not hit the. But there's been a couple of times where it'll like. Because i i mean do you don't want to get into this. No yes we do to get into any we need to get close to diana. Are you kidding me. You can't just say you put your feet on the seat you understand about this. You're on your mom's house. were brown. "Our wia. May i do. Here's the your house. What do we call this community tadpole. Okay poll and it asked me simple question. All right do you wipe sitting down or standing up first of all. My my heart is full. I feel like the grinch heart gets so full almost exploded. Seventy six thousand of you respond. It's up to seventy eight thousand. Eight thousand responded mom's house a is a very unique cool place and and my heart is full sitting down. Well let me give you the headlines. I let's just say not a lot of people. Well more than i would have expected actually but not a lot of you stand so with thirty percent of you stand up and i believe which is a lot. Do the math. I mean that's twenty one thousand. Exactly it's twenty thousand people so you now want you put in your mind. Twenty thousand people wiping standing up to those of us that For whom were sort of surprised by this whole phenomenon. It is a little mind warping. So seventy percent sitting down so seventy percent of the people are sit down and thirty percent are cool now. You're sorta cool cool in the way that why mates means like yeah life stupid. Doesn't somebody in there do. This isn't any a standard brown. But he does eventually so when you wipe do you sit down at he standup. I sit down for sure. Yeah so zola's he's solos. What we've we've already declared here that it's normal to wipe standing up. What would it be. Normal. it's normal to wipe standing up that normal because thirty percent. That's pretty much. The same. I do it i stand. That's what i thought see. I thought you told me that last night. So so but he's got a big job to do right and so and he's probably been sitting for awhile. It's probably the last time you said i wipe standing up because i'm morbidly obese and then chris stepped in and he was just like. Hey man. I'm not obese and i also wipe standing right remember whereas chris normal people wipe standing up. That's what i'm saying so so literally that's false. There's more of us than you think. Literally that we did a nice daddy got seventy thousand people. It's a pretty good turnouts. These populations submit scientific. I think we should have it reviewed and sat in. But it's not fifty percent. It's well under fifty percents with not negative. I mean that's purely fact amongst y mich wipers. Normative well. I mean there's more people that stand up than there are like the percentage breakdown. Yeah this is barely a minority. If this was america it'd be like oh. Yeah this is. I don't know european or something it's like it makes up a lot more than what would call on my people that get heavy credit at your mom's house trust me. I'm you're you're you're sort of distinguishing yourself. Don't get me wrong. I'm not judging. I'm just saying it is at normative. But i want to hear more. So any any and i've got a bunch of comets. People have lots of things that this is a very Passionate passionate topic for people. So how long has your procedure you go once a month. And how long does that procedure go. I mean you asked me this. When when i was on the show and i don't remember because the whole point of being in there is to not be there so it's like right. You know i dissociate the minute. I entered that room into the minute. I leave fascinating a little later. But i mean if i had to guess ten twenty minutes. Okay into your legs get numb. Is that where you stand up. A no no no i stand up just because well first of all first of all something i do that. Nobody does i squat. So i don't. I don't sit on the toilet. I think that's disgusting. My dick always like hangs on. You know what i mean. It's like on their own toilet amount. Yeah and you still. Don't sit on it but you're the only one that would sit on it and still grows though. This is the gift that keeps on giving. Please discourage this is. This is any concerns. How do you. How do you not cause a fucking wave all over the bathroom. What i'm saying tied. Oh you mean because they're so there's a lot there's a lot of material coming The way and it's and it's dropping from a distance yeah Let's get into this. We'll see is the so you. Don't your your glorious buttock to the this is the seat up. yeah yeah no. I wouldn't have anything to squad on squad. I squat on the seat. I don't have as little squad. Wait wait a minute yes What's up chief. You are more cool than i ever knew. Oh oh oh you have socks on toilet socks socks. I wonder he does. We did not slow down. This is this is mind blowing. You're going to have to. You're going gonna have to share this with the sucres you're going to have to. They need to know this. I'm sorry but please share this with them. So it's slow down everybody so wha- slipped and broken the the water bowl i've been. I've been worried about it for the past thirty years. But i have not once. When did you develop this technique. The day one homing. I've been doing this day. one day. One squatter so hold on man was your mom like was your mom involved with the toilet training at that point and got a look concern. I can't break them of this. Let him go. i mean they. How far back do we go with this. Oh you mean like so. During during training i mean. I don't remember that far. My my memories are going. I'm wondering if your mom has been traumatized by all this. And if she has a family. I no not a chance. No one's ever shit after after this is this is too good. I can't again. My heart is so full. This is incredible so so so any i love you. I love you too okay. So so so. I knew you were cool and so i don't like saying that we're supposed to be on a team. I'm on your team on your team. What are we going to do so so so what kind do you have to have a certain kind of toilet. You know. Different kinds of toilets at their gift to suss it out like this won't do right No no because. I mean i don't well first of all i never go in public. That doesn't doesn't happen but you could be traveling or something right I make sure. I go before i travel like. I don't go so so. I'll never traveled more than like two three right. You couldn't do it right. It'd be no possibilities. Three weeks super easy. Hold in three for him. He's a four week run average. Nothing man this guy's got guy's got ale tone. We should use it like you know we get some walnuts or something and see if he can crack but anyway So so this is awesome. So you're standing up on the toilet you're on the not just the rim because the seat is up you're on the bear rim and sorry. I'm sorry you i'm sorry. I said the whole time. The seat is down. The seats seat is down in my head. I had that okay down. Don't you break break the seats once again. I've been scared for the past thirty years but no position yourself very gently and carefully towards the front or the back of the seat My i mean my ass is on the back. My feet are on the front so either on the front do you lean against the what we call the tub thing in the back where the water a little water tank the water tank the tank. Only if i'm lazy okay. It but just the thought of holding a squat for thirty for twenty minutes. You said twenty minutes i. That's pretty damn amazing. Yeah i mean. What can i say on the next exercise every day. Okay and and your legs get tired. And how.

Something's gonna come up and grab you. I don't honestly. I don't know what the fuck is. A lot of. Things are coming out on this episode. I am dr drew. You can't imagine. And i'm going to be getting into got well as hot debate out there standing up or sitting down. If you've been watching exactly what i'm talking about but send the voice message just one eight two five three one six nine three. And of course the emails to doctor after dark gmail.com. We appreciate it very much. And i like the as i've said many times i liked it sort of moving towards sort of love line. S kind of stuff is in your good. Your voice messages are fantastic right boot. Boys oh yeah oh yeah you know. Let's look at that. I can talk to both them simultaneously. This isn't it. This is progress. Everybody got some britney spears. Mike's for each booth boy. Now so we could all talk to you together and it. It's clear affect any in my head is kind of unusually like Kind of i'm reacting emotionally a little bit. He's just come right in there. Like because i'm so much closer to you. Yeah it's like you really in my head now before you were you were sort of sweeping in your there in my mind. I mean i'm glad you like me here man. It's good man on here to help you. Thank you thank you then. Then we'll see how that goes today Before the mike heated up we were talking. That it would be cool. Be interesting not cool. Be interesting if i conducted some interviews with cool guys and cool gals and Folks with the The talk i and things would be really interesting. Just because you know the talk. I the tiktok i that will guy just think teeth tiktok. I think the i and And just to really dig into what's going on. Who are these people that take a good look at this and then i thought i have some semi cool guys right across the wall here from me. I interviewed them enough. So none of how you doing doing as cool as i've ever been min- you losing some weight. I mean not intentionally. I think. I'm just not intentionally overeating anymore. Which is also doing very good stuff intentionally. Overeating which is interesting. So that means like orios and ice cream that kind of thing. Maybe like ice cream. I'm not a huge cookie guy. But i did notice what's i i think. I saw comment on something. Because i did actively try and get morbidly obese for the vaccine and it really did grind my gears to see that pretty much. It was open to everyone like a few days. Maybe a week ago. I see you were trying to get the vaccine more quickly like that. Well it sucked because it wasn't worth it too late too late. It's not too little too late. My friend it's not worth being morbidly obese. Right get the vaccine. That's right you're gonna you're gonna create six other medical conditions in the name of trying to correct one That you're young enough that it's not even clear even with obesity would have that big an issue for you. So i've had a little recurrence of my prostate cancer. Which is not unusual. It's not that big a deal. And i'm i'm set up to have some radiation therapy in july and that should be the end of it so tell me more about this when so. What's the timeline in this. In terms of when it recurred yeah like. When did you start having so about three years ago. My psa went from zero point. Zero to zero point. Zero px to say is prostate. Specific antigen is how we screen for cancer. And we watch you know if there's any recurrences but mostly it's also we used to diagnose cancer and When that happened. It kind of creeped up. That i'm getting radiation. I know it and my urologist. Like no no no. It's barely detectable. Nobody i started preparing myself three years ago. And then this last visit you know six weeks ago. They went Okay it's it's time. And i thought yeah no so. I went and they're going to they're going to do this sb. Rt very specialized new thing with radiation. Where you only have to have five days. And they're building a they're literally. This is something you guys. They're building essentially an asshole for me to go to to hold me perfectly still including i have to in order to get that radiation right to the pelvic usually comes into the pelvic Gets into the pelvic bone. And so the raiders. Go right there. I have to evacuate my colon. Any after a bunch enema. Zoo in his animas. I'll take a bunch animas. Nope that's that's the thing and clear of the magic. You need to laredo. And then i have to fill my bladder to the bladder. The colon has to be empty. And then i have to insert myself into this mold that they're going to be building in a few weeks. Real quick cost extra mold those mastered and hung up on the wall. Let's even let's even think about this. I may be able to take the original home. I mean. I paid for it right. And what are they gonna use it for. It didn't want any comes in with his cancer. They're going to put his ass in there. No use it for y major originals and stuff. I think we'd put would get some a lot of miles out of it. I think i think you're on it. I think you're onto it. And i totally agree. I told b b may be my privilege in fact. I wanted to be assholes. I wanted to be part of. The new art is exhibited in the upcoming new studio. I feel like it should have a place of honor right. That made me feel good. You been my ass got my ass. I asked will be hanging in that studio so speaking of ashes. I guess it was when we were talking with blanking her name. Go donal chase. I don't know what it is about being about forty five fifty minutes. I always needs but a your abdominal muscle is a muscle. Your donald wall is a very complex series of muscles and particularly. If you're like a runner you work out your ad. Don't a lot you can be very prone to just we get spasms in your calf can get them in your abdomen. At once. They set up. They are incredibly painful. And because it's kind of flat muscle tear and you could you said last for days and stuff. You might be getting muscular tears dilly other thing. I worry about mayor. We started this whole show talking about people getting abscesses through their belly. Button to the so-called and There can be issues with emma like us that can trigger muscular stuff. I mean this doesn't specifically sounds like this really sounds like domino will wall poll or tear. Why i bet if you talk some of the people you're talking to online they get it not just in from the bellybutton to the pelvis. They also get it on the side and the flanks the the in the upper the abdomen as well sir depends how your your muscle physiologist put together. This one is titled bladder full of come. Hey dr king of eighteen you mentioned in previous episodes the stopping yourself from coming by pinching off tippy or your penis may cost him to go back to the bladder through zero male. Fifteen years of masturbating climax. I do cable squeeze prevent ejaculation. It's all the perks of orgasm but none of the cleanup right. That's going backwards I would also do this during sex. And just save you. Jackie relation for when we were both done for the night. I don't quite understand what you're describing can be doing. This also causes seem to get backed up into the bladder. Yes it can and it can irritate and problems also ended up from post sees pain in my arms but he not blowing. My nose nabet happens. I feel like dying feel better. I'm not suffering alone keeping higher tight and keep them high and tight ends anus. Yes james well said i don't do. I know about the knob sneezing problem. I think that was a previous episode in on my show and might have been a wma. I don't remember it so he does he. Does he hold his nose or something. Yeah i think so. Brilliant when things wanna come out of your body let them come out. That's a general rule. I would to apply that to any Not that i. He's causing himself serious medical problems but the general principle is if someone's coming out allow it to come out whether it's semen or brown or sneeze let that let it be produced everybody Give you a voice message there. Hey dr mommy is tyler. I should have a question So i started probably masturbating around age. Eleven half twelve. And since then i've kind of about two years into i got into my rhythm of what i liked and i'm kinda curious i've been in a long term relationship now for about eight years and i've never been able to complete from oral or A hand job. It has to be sex. Or i have to do it myself. I'm wondering if basically have. I sucked my dick. So i'm too sensitive to less sensitive in a specific way to where she's not going to be able to finish the job Let me know. Keep a hi. Thanks dr mommy. Nobody penises have preferences all right much like people. We all have preferences. Some people can achieve orgasm by different ways. You've heard us talk at length about poor. Josh potter's problems and what he needs to do. In order to get things going it it's different for different people. Some of it is set up by your master tori habits but in to some extent your mass pretoria habits are set up by your biology already might be set up that way. Look the fact that you can't have an orgasm with sex is fine. Lotta guys i listen. A lot of guys prefer oral sex. A lot of guys can't ejaculate with oral sex. It's sort of too sensitive or not not stimulating in the right ways and that's fine. It's no big deal. Don't worry about it. You didn't up your day let's See an s. t. d. Cool guy speaking of penises. Gal rather a few confessions to the people that i did fuck around with. I have herpes committee Sorry that i didn't tell you from the beginning. I should've but i was the victim at one point and now everybody that i thought was also now the victim at the end of the day jeers. "Their understand that now he's going to prison real quickie speed rail. Yeah no no no no no no no no see so good that meth mouth toenail wait a minute you step out lead. He's go back into the. Can you stop on the frame where where you see fed smoker because he he looks like he's feathered at all the way to look at that look at him shaved his head and the beard shaved interest fully feathered. Yeah he's feathered down to the scout. Although although i would say. That's just a razor. He did that with. Because i don't see any scalp burns And and there's so much in this tape first of all i. I like trying to try to come up with that song. Nana nana get quite produce the sock so he's pranab resigned to say farewell. Bye bye to the guy. The meth mouth is unfolded. Who aren't all grinding. A cheese and talking through his teeth. The preoccupation with police smoker has but that is a characteristic meth phenomenon. The the cocaine addicts are preoccupied and afraid of police. The meth addicts are preoccupied about please. I want to call them all the time. Bring them and then tell them how to do their job. So we got all this going on and look. It doesn't look that bad. His health is a little bit better here right. I mean compared to him when he's when he's feathering waiter. Yeah he looks pretty good and he's date. Oh is that who's that. who's toenails. He's talking to. I think so. Oh my god is any way we can see anything about her no. We're not sure all with your toenails. You know what is interesting. i i got. That would also didn't look that great even though he loves them They're they are out there. They're all good for for fed smoker date. Not terrible not terrible. But they're not cool guys but go back to the the picture of smoker there because there's another instinct thing. Do you notice anything else about sort of the look on his face that you don't see later looks happy right emotion. Yeah he's he's expressing affect then and later on that all goes away. You can't even see that. He just always always just in that. Meth mania thing So this earlier on in the in the feathering experience of fed smoker interesting. It's good one. i like that. All right let's go to some Some emails here had an issue in the past with getting into trouble with my head. Go issue in the past with getting infections in my belly button when i masturbate. I say he gets stuff. In his bellybutton sometimes gets stuck in there and traps lint. Hair gets irritated for. When did you wash it out. Why do you let it accumulate there. Clean it out and it gets better usually but it is thinking very uncomfortable. Help me keep my mommy hole. They may call the belly button. Mommy holes at that some lingo. I'm not picking up on having heard that either but maybe it'll catch on their face. That's something i should know because that's the fed smoker reference. I figured okay. Well timely then james thank you for the toddler fuck face. Here's the deal. The smell is bacteria particularly anaerobic bacteria. Because that's a kind of a closed environment and there you let stuff leak in and then bacteria set up in there. They can actually become an abscess actually into your abdomen. If you're not careful you must do a better job and this this literally. I would imagine this behavior of smoker. Not of otherwise healthy young man so in the right now you should probably use a q tip and hydrogen peroxide and clean that thing out like crazy like do that every day for a couple of weeks and then no more white in the belly button. That's not a good idea. I'm even struggling and say wait lately lately had to do work the night shift for a month who heads drink two to three hundred drinks night..

Author Of 'Mastering Migraine' Discusses the Causes Of Migraines
"We're talking to dr adam hartford. We're gonna talk a little headache Dot harcourt has a book. Mastering migraine and is yes. That's the book mastery migraine. We're talking about some of the means to go after it darker welcome. Thanks so much for having me. So let's talk about the multiple causes of migraine. What a what a mess it can be for people. It's sure can where do we start. what what i can say is By book is kind of based around in in my program is based upon the reality. That migraine is ultimately genetic. Which means you either have or you don't and you're prone to it forever and the interesting thing. Though is the fact that it can be tons of different genes which is why we haven't nailed it down to one thing. So for example the on the extreme end something like hemiplegic migraine which mimic stroke and things like that has three distinct genes that we know that that causes it but for everything else. We know that it has to do with ionic transport which is basically saying that is the healthy Healthiness of neuron is impacted on migraine. And depending on which area of the brain it affects. That determines your symptoms so the most common head pain but it can also be dizziness. It can be stroke like symptoms. It can be ocular. Symptoms all that kind of

Of course the twitter at at dr. lisa stroman estero h. m. e. and website is lisa strowman dot com. And so one of the reasons amongst others that i wanted you back is that. I'm just hearing nightmarish stories. About particularly sort of seven to fifteen year olds in this age of no school and lockdown And of course they're locked down with their screens which your area of expertise and is making that much worse. What are you seeing out there clinically clinically. It's it's a pretty big mess. We've got kids that. From a standpoint of school settings are hanging on devices that previously when they were on campuses were able to be locked down by the campus like internet service or the school system. But you know in this rush to get kids access to education. They handed out all these digital devices and there is absolutely no way for them to monitor those in the home environment. So it's really striking to me. Like how much has changed. Because you're seeing in some regards. One hundred and eighty five percent increase. Let's say in just one category of inappropriate photos sexting with one another. And that's just and that goes all the way down to third and fourth

The case for Baylor at No. 1 over Gonzaga
"The only respectful way to begin. This episode is by recognizing that scott drew baylor bears formerly known. As bill henderson's baylor bears improved a seventeen on the season tuesday night with an eighty-three sixty nine victory at texas. They outscored the longhorns. By seven in the first half they outscored the longhorns. By seven in the second half as a result baylor otherwise known as terry eagles alma mater is now seventeen and fifteen. Double digit wins. The bears are number one at kim palm. Their number one in the net. they are awesome undeniably. Norlander your turn to talk about baylor. Are you going to spend the next few minutes showing proper respect for the first lady of baylor basketball or are you going to once again disrespect. Kelly drew got drew. Plus mackenzie payton brody. Not to mention homer and janet price and tara dana and her husband. Casey bryson anna isaiah caleb. In luke plus drew barrymore drew carey. Drew brees drew bledsoe. Dr drew drew. Gooden andrew mcintyre how are you gonna handle this moment. bryce doesn't care does care. He'd bryce doesn't care. I talk to about it. He doesn't care. How are you going to atone for the fact that you still have a number one. I mean. I think it's disrespectful at this point. Daily top twenty five and one. After what i saw last night. I got baylor number one. But you don't and you disrespect the entire through family. And every drew. She has to drew mcgarry as well. You're disrespecting them all you've got number two. I think you're the one who needs to explain himself. I actually can't explain myself. And i do get asked this every day. I saw strong joe last night trying to make the case that baylor should be number one and i let it be clear. I won't argue with anybody that says baylor should be number. One baylor at this moment has a better resume than gonzaga. Got six quarter on lindsay. Does eggs only have five. Baylor is got the best adjusted efficiency margin in the country and one of the best of all time at this point. If you wanna if you wanna put baylor number one it is fine with me. It's just. I think we've talked about this. Before i made a rule a longtime ago i will not drop number one team unless it loses the only time i made an exception i went and looked it. Up is two seasons ago. Kansas was number one in the top twenty five and one to open the season. Kentucky might have been to. Duke was in the top five somewhere and do zion williamson cameras and remember the other one started with our allies and it was. It was whatever it doesn't matter. It doesn't rj barrett and so they went out and they just throttled kentucky on opening night at bankers life. And i just. I was even conflicted. Then because keynes's is just one and it was one zero and number one and i was like i don't feel silly not to have that duke team. That just did that to kentucky ranked number one. So i made an exception to the rule. Then but i've been ranking college basketball teams for better or worse for like more than fifteen years now and i've only dropped a number one team without losing one time and that is the example.

Interview With Dr. Stephen Porges
"Doctor porges. Are you there. i'm here yeah. I want to gush about you for a second because i am a giant fan of your work and the observations that you brought to light. I thought it was time we took your material to the public. Which i know is going to be a little bit of a task because it's very physiological and very technical but this is the future. Are we off line. No we're on. We're on the rock. I know it sounds like i'm not talking. Okay then go ahead and gosh yes. Dr borjas develop. Something called the polly vega theory. And it is that may not be a term that is immediately apparent what it means everybody. But he basically has shown how a part of our central nervous system that has been ignored for longtime or at least marginalized. Maybe at the core of understanding. How i describe this. How are emotional. Landscapes work I i came to work. Dr portas through alan shore. I may humble disciple of his work and his his work informed. Everything i do and he is backed by the Will be on in a couple of episodes to talk to you about his work But he has been able to show you know how the emotional landscape is built how the self is built and how this is a a. We've missed the fact that this is a bodily based experience and that the auto onomic nervous system sort of breaks accelerator of our system has been marginalized in our understanding of this thing. We call motions and feelings. Is that a good way to sort of bring it start actually going if you don't mind me dancing in spring it I actually Realized i finally realized that you were trained as an internist. And what i would say is to start this. I would say that. What i do is really the interface between internal medicine and psychiatry. Yes so You should find yourself feeling very much at home. With the linkage of the on a nommik nervous system to behavioral mental health disorders will and it. Maybe that's why you ended up in addiction medicine too. Because that's a similar crossroad You know it's it's very much you know medical. There's a lot of medical stuff going on. It's there's neurobiology that's completely out of whack there's interpersonal there's dynamic issues psychiatric issues but ultimately it is about the body and the body's relation to the brain and that is something that i think has been when people talk for instance talk. I'm getting off topic completely right away here but whenever hear people talking about you know Computers or artificial intelligence. I think wait a minute. Humans have this all other thing that they're embedded in that informed so much of what they're experiencing maybe it's all of what they're experiencing but it also informs what they're thinking how they remember things and how they process information. It's why there's things like intuition and why we have insights those actually our bodies creating those those sorts of moments. I suspect well. We are biological. I mean that's what we are and whatever we do whether it's art or music or social interactions. It's really based on our biology. And this tends to be you know marginalized this importance and as you've already realized that we live in a world that is very i'll use the term cognitive centric or cle biased. It's being the same thing that this little part of the brain that deals with our awareness and our alertness in our consciousness is the major role of our brain and it's not really To help our body run and the way. Our body is functioning also feedback and provides porto's of accessibility to different mental competencies. Well let's try to talk about the vagus nerve and what you observe to talk about the poly vegas theory. I by the way gave a lecture at the usc university southern california. I know where you are. You're at dr professor of psychiatry university of north carolina By the way you can find more information at steven porges. Pr ge's dot com and the book. Which will be on. Our website is the poly bagel theory. gave a lecture not university of southern carolina near you. The university of southern california which is our usc and I tried to tip toe into your material. It was interesting because I do think. I do use it so much. In terms of helping people understand. Emotional regulation and inter subjective experiences. And they were pretty receptive. I even wrote an exam question about it which is about basic theory based in a national in a format that we're all accustomed to talk about what you observe how you got into this. Well i i'll talk about the history of getting into it in a moment but i The theory is extraordinarily logically based. But it's also intuitive. So now you have this balance between really deep science and the history of neuro anatomy off the allergy in the study of evolution on one side and the other side. The intuition of it this is this is how we feel that we act and when you put those layers together suddenly demystify. The unusual experiences people have had especially those who have been traumatized health issues. how i got into. This is really backwards. I think We all get into things that interest us about feelings and trying to understand our our body but we often go into profession so i started off in psychology and i was interested in physiological markers or parallels of psychological processes with kind of a dream that you could put electrodes on people and you Understand a lot about them without talking to them okay so you could understand A lot about their physiological states. And as i started to do my work and this is actually several decades ago i started to ask more serious questions not Simply where there correlates or relationships between ordinary activity and talking to prophecies or emotional states

It can get heated and very very aggressive very dangerous loose. Listen or watch murder like podcast or tv shows about it or anything like that to just be like. Oh my god no. CBT Center is where you can find her. Online. Dot Com she's the founder she's a US ideas. Psychologist and she has three relationship books acceptance and commitment therapy for couples acceptance and commitment therapy interpersonal problems. And interpersonal problems workbook Abby walpin program. Thank you. I'm excited to be here. So he two things I WANNA do today. So People talk about CBT all the time, right I always find that I ended up waving my hands and CBD practitioners Kinda grandmothers a workbook. We change your thinking and there's lots of sort of vague descriptions of would see bt is so one thing I'd love to do a little bit today is you to do some CBT on me? Yes yeah, okay and and just Today to in the middle is Kobe or a perfect data dulas DVD. Yeah. Yeah it is. But this this situation is pretty depressing. Yes. Yes. Now already started working on me but. Before we do that. I WanNa talk a little bit about acceptance and commitment there. What is that? Acceptance and commitment therapy takes its third wave behavioral therapy. So on the more third wave, cvt therapies take a more acceptance and mindfulness based approach. So rather than challenging thoughts too much they help us create some distance from plots and mindfulness and be able to diffuse from thoughts that they're not pulling us towards certain behaviors. Thoughts have less power. In. Controlling our behaviors. Zooming you example would be your in conflict with somebody and you have to become aware of your thoughts and how they're affecting the conflict. How is it different than dialectical behavioral therapy where you're trying to pull in your thoughts and awareness of the other person's thoughts and feelings right. Right, well, dialectical behavioral therapy is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy. So there's like a cognitive behavioral therapy umbrella. Cognitive behavioral therapies a DVD t would be one of them act would be one of them. emotions compassion focused therapy would be one of them or functional analytic psychotherapy would be one of them. So there's a lot of. Therapies that are considered to be more behavioral. Like psycho dynamic therapy is not so much behavioral. It's more insight focused and cognitive behavioral therapies more behaviorally focused. We do techniques and exercises under certain thoughts and feelings act as barriers to. to actions to behaviors. So it's not so much like figuring something out or having insight about something. It's more about practicing certain skills that help you change your behaviors, the fourth component for form. Therapy functional analysis which called. ME. What does that? Functional analytic psychotherapy is a form of behavioral. It's it's a very behavioral intervention where you're thinking about your own behaviors as a as a therapist what are some behaviors that you want to do more of or less of, and you're thinking about your clients cavers and you're doing a lot of. Against punishment and reward in your own interactions as to shape behaviors

We've got a stream their broadcast very regularly a call in show on Sunday, and then the after dark. Out of course most days, our guest is Andrew Newberg. Latest book is the rabbis, brain mystics, moderns, and the science of Jewish thinking. It's available now. Neuro, theology is what we're talking about you can follow Dr Newburg at at Andrew Newberg and HE WBRC DOT com. Twitter at Andrew, Newberg and Dutch newer. You came highly recommended by Dr Dan Een. WHO said you must speak with him, so we all well. He's a terrific guy and I. would have told you the same thing in reverse. Yards a three way again, so so talk first. Let's start with the book. What what what did you learn writing? This could prompted you write the book and what is in there? Well you know I've been studying the relationship between spirituality in the brain for many many years and and that has kind of developed into this field of neuro. Theology you know what? How we look at and understand the relationship link between the human rain in our religious and spiritual cells. Part of why I got into the discussion. Autism was that I'm sorry it's all good. We Love Dogs against. During the quarantine everyone does it guy I know I know? so part and part of the reason why I got into hopping rabbis, brain is the idea that. We can really start to think about neuro theology from the perspective of different traditions, and of course my own background is Judaism. I was raised in a reform Jewish household up armistead, and so it just seemed like a very natural kind of approach to be able to start with that but ultimately neuro theology is something that is really for every type of tradition, and so hopefully this is really just the start of it's the ability for us to look at a Christianity, and it's denominations. Islam. Hinduism Buddhism all the traditions from this perspective to see what we can learn what we can understand in terms of how the brain health us to be relig- religious and spiritual. And, so you know this this whole idea of neurobiology anthropology spirituality stuff. That's how I found Jordan. Peterson I'm interested in people that combined anthropologists psychology. Then ask the question. Why do our brains do that right? And then is there some transcendent meaning? That's a whole other question, but wire. Why did the human trains do that and? It gives me A. Absolute intense fascination. So how'd you? What's your posture as somebody that evaluates these things from the neuroscience recovering from multiple different perspectives. Where where are you evaluating this? Well, certainly you know I. Do feel like Neuro Theology as a as a field based on the work that I'm trying to do is is something that is very multidimensional, and and really does kind of come at things from a variety of different perspectives I suppose. Because my background is neuro imaging I'm there certainly that? But as you mentioned just a moment ago? You know part of what excites me. in in terms of all of the information that we can get at from this perspective is that it ranges from the very practical to the very esoteric so on a very practical level. We can ask questions about well, if somebody. Is Religious Is that protective to protect them from depression. Does IT PROTECT THEM FROM SUBSTANCE ABUSE? Obviously a big area that I know you've been involved in for many years. And, there's a lot of evidence to support added. Certainly you know programs like alcoholics, anonymous which really invokes a spiritual concept. has also been very effective for helping people with alcoholism, so they're very tactical piece, yeah! Stay. With us for a second. Is there something about spirituality that changes the brain in such a way that you can look at the imaging and say oh? That's why they're regulating better. That's why the oncologist so. What changed in their brain. That might help them. There substances well there. There are a variety of changes that occur. does depend a little bit on what practices in what the person is doing so for example you know when we study a practice like prayer, we find that perhaps that happens to increase the activity in their frontal lobe. We've actually done some studies that have looked at certain transmitters in a found a spiritual retreat program in intensive retreat. Officers the amount of dopamine in their brain, and these are the lives up to regulate our emotional responses. So when you're talking about you know having an addiction being anxious having. If your frontal lobes are working better because you are engaged in spiritual practice or bears religious spiritual beliefs. Then that's going to help you psychologically and similarly. If, you're really immersed in this then it changes your tone in levels, the dopamine levels in the brain much like the drugs that people would take an antidepressant or a drug that might help them to calm down, and so we really see this kind of an impact of these practices on a lot of different levels, and it also changes the other important set of structures of the LIMBIC system. The emotional centers of the brain and these practices helped to calm those down so that people aren't quite as reactive and you know when when you think about what religions do I mean? mean part of the thing is. There are a lot of ingredients right I mean they're. They're the practices. We were just talking about, but there's the believes the comfort that they get. There's the social support they get so there's a lot of different elements that are very contributory to helping people when they're engaged. They're religious or spiritual south I'M GONNA. Keep drilling on the alcohol for a second, because they will often talk about these moments of change where they feel like something has stepped in from the outside and they're. They're different. Sectors of Swish changed, and I will tell you. Look very carefully. At these folks they usually are preceded by some sort of experience of novelty in a relationship like the as though they are seeing them, so they can see themselves with a new pair of glasses and that moment causes. What they want to call

Supreme Court Rules New York Prosecutors Can Access Trump’s Tax Returns
"Reactions to the Supreme Court's dual rulings on President Donald Trump's finances. In one case, the Supreme Court said the president's accounting for must turn over his tax returns to a Manhattan grand jury. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy questions the prosecutor's motivation seems much more political than anything else. In the second case, the Supreme Court said a lower court will decide whether Congress can compel the president to release his financial records. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sees this as good news Supreme Court, including the president's appointees have declared that He is not above the law. There is no timetable for when the lower courts might rule on that case. Linda CANYON
