"The point of this is though really it just to be nice yes people. They have the opportunity. They will often be nice back to you if it's in this situation or if it's any other life situation yeah so take that with you. Keep it in iraq pocket. Okay bobby how old were you the first time you've got excited about a lame adult purchase. You know like a vacuum cleaner or something seventeen eighteen. Oh what was it. I had to adult real quick. So i mean i remember buying car tires for a beat up or call. Maybe when i was sixteen and i was like. Oh that's pretty cool and they don't always have in flats because my tires were so old. The car was so beat up. I thought i don't have to worry about now. Driving to do maintenance on the golf course and my car breaking down because the flat tire. So i was pretty excited about that. So you're younger than average because the poll that was taken says we're about twenty years old when we finally make some adult purchase that makes us adult which eventually exciting the maybe the first time. But then we get annoyed by like why. Why do i have to find your tired of the dumbest. Adult purchases are tires refrigerators. And because it's not fun though temporary place. There's nothing fun about a new refrigerator. even if it's got an ice on there that that that goes away pretty quick a new washer and dryer. It's just annoying to have to buy that stuff because it's not fun to use it so even though you're maybe upgrading it's still not that fun to spend all that money because you don't using it to begin with right. Yeah yeah. I've a good point with the ice thing because you live in an apartment so long departments. Don't have those. They have cheap fridge. And then you finally get back. Maybe like a lows and they had a refrigerator. We're looking for a new refrigerator. Tv screen in it like a small tv screen. That was like talking about the dream. I thought why. Am i going to stand here and watch it later. You're still in front of the. Yeah there's no reason. I should ever be standing at my fridge long enough to watch. It's like the screen on the gas. Pump like you're there for sixty three seconds. I don't want to be there sometimes. I stood there longer. If like mario lopez about amount. I that's my vile amy's pile of stores. It's time for the good news. Grandma kiki one have an adventure with her three grandsons. she said. Hey you guys want to grocery store with me. So she took him to the jewel osco game some candy. It was hard candy. They all eat it and then also one of them is choking on the candy. She's freaking out. Can't get the candy out of his throat so they get on the pa system and they say. Does anybody know the heimlich. please come to. I'll six and some lady comes there with a shopping basket. Goes this the kid shokhin. Who'll bla- candy comes out. And then she hands the kid. Five dollars said gear by some soft candy. So maybe won't show next time. You know the other kids probably like to find all right. That's good that's what it's all about right. There was something good as reading a story about tom brady. And he says he doesn't eat much bread. And then a lot of these experts are saying that bread actually can aid you faster. Did you see this. No blood sugar spikes from. Excessive consumption of bread can accelerate aging through the creation of a bunch of scientific words. But i watch. Tom brady plays forty four years old. Something's going right with that dude right. And he's not even take this as i say it. He's not the that great athlete as compared to the other athletes on the field. I always slow white guy. You can't really run. This never been a great athlete. Here's a picture of him before he got drafted with shirt off. When he's standing there like tom brady. Michigan looks like eddie. That means i have a chance. Don't be confused because he played professional baseball too. Because the yankees. The yankees wanted to play baseball for as well. But it's just weird. I still am under the firm belief that later in life sugar is going to be treated like cigarettes are now that we're going to look back and go. I cannot believe that allow people to have this much sugar. We look back doctors now. We cannot believe doctor said. Hey choose the cigarette over a different cigarette crazy. Look back at black. Dr winslow choose menthols and it's a commercial that was on tv back in the day. That's why i think the key word and article is excessive. You said so. I mean you can still bread but it said professional athletes. No better excessive. I it's only excessive. Okay all right. Let's go over to amy with the morning. Corny morning courtney. Why couldn't the man escaped from the apple store. Why couldn't the man escaped from the apple store because there are no windows in it. Windows number only was morning. Gorny what happened how to. At and t. Foun brand new in a box delivered tim. Mead name no signed an iphone it's an. At and t. phone. It looks like an iphone but says at&t on it. Yeah i guess. I don't know but here's the thing i have had my nashville number for ms seven eight years now but i had a number from austin a five one two area codes for years and it's listed under that number and i haven't used that number in forever but it's that phone number my name. The phone like something is just so weird. And i'm like is what is this. Do they want me to turn it on and start using it and then tracking everything. I'm doing but why would i do that. Because i'm perplexed by the phone. So weird stuff comes amy's house all the time. Yeah once she got a bunch of pizzas over and over again so she moved because she was like. We don't know who that is. I still think it's lunch box. There wasn't one night it was along multiple over. Vox orteig daniel. In my opinion. I think it was a joke. And they won't admit it now because amy moved houses because of it. Yes and then the thing. We haven't been able to mention on the air yet. Oh yeah. I still don't want to. I worry about a lot more revealing anything. We amy had sent to our house and this this phone is related to that those to turn it on and then like something's going to happen to answer it plug it in ships. Something center house. We can't talk about on the air now. I don't wanna talk about it. Like 'cause i watched documentaries On like i'm gonna die. I don't say anymore one day. We'll be able to talk about but anyway. That was her house remember. She gets scanned with the cat. Yeah yeah she's louisiana. It's one thing after another with you. Yeah this phone is is weird. I'll take a picture of it. I saw this afraid you answer it and the other thing that was sent to you. There's voice goes. Hey time to die. But i'm like why am i still paying for that number. I don't know i it's weird. Yeah that's weird it is. When do you think we listeners. Sent to your house guessing a date couple years. All ready was six months talked too much flying. By what if something happens to you and we don't know yeah and that could help her solve. This case i know tim he would advise me not to say. Could you tell him what happened. What to your house yes. He knows he's in yes you should it say it say anything. No he's taking head now could be killed right killer. Maybe.

Hey everybody welcome back. Cameron cameron and kevin with you as always only No cameron right. Yeah so instead of cameron. I'm here with alli kennedy and we're going to talk to you about science story. So what's happening alley just hanging in there and getting ready to wrap up the summer semester. And everybody's happy and healthy hopefully and doing really well and cameron's home with the crib lizard. You'll have a good time from there now. So tell me about your research right. So i work in a lab. That's focused on the neurological side of osteoarthritis. So we look at it as a whole systemic disease so my specific research looks at How gene expression changes in certain parts of the spinal cord and brain stem In chronic pain models of osteoarthritis which we induce and rats. We do We cut their little meniscus as and we let them develop away then we take their spinal columns out and we get how the how genes work so so. It sounds really deep for somebody now. You're not a professor or post doc or graduate student. I am an undergrad. I'm a nontraditional undergrad. But i am an undergrad. But i developed some level of independence in the lab. I started doing kind of knee. Sectioning which is kind of like you know grunt work in the lab. But i moved up from there to get to do my own department project. Which is the one. I described focused on the changes of gene expression and nerve tissue. And i'm really excited about. Yeah it's really cool. Because if if i were you are when i was an undergrad i would probably be the head of some giant company right. Now you're just way ahead of the game and it's awesome. I'm hoping to continue on. I'm looking at a master's degree programs. Now so i'll be applying for my masters but ultimately i want to get into the more clinical side of things and get my md. So hopefully we'll we'll work our way up to that. You remind me of student. I had years ago ashley window. She's now dr winslow and she. You owns a company. Ceo of big. It's really funny. Because she she wanted to go to medical schools she was all set for md but then she decided she wanted to do. She loved the research. Yeah she went to medical school apple applied to medical schools. And they said well. You really don't want to do them. Just wanna do the md..
