"It is almost a facsimile and do expect will answer this advertisement. Why the man in the brown coat off flooded friend with a square toes. If he does not come himself he will send an accomplice. If my view of casey's correct this man would rather risk anything than lose the ring. According to my notion he dropped it. While stooping over drips body and did not miss it at the time. After leaving the house he discovered his loss and how did back but the police already in possession. He add to pretend to be drunk. In order to allay the suspicions which might have been aroused by his appearance at the gate on thinking matter over. It must have occurred to him that it was possible that he had lost the ring in the road after leaving the house. What would he do. Then he would eagerly look out for the evening paper in the hope of seeing it among the articles found is i of course would a light on this. He would be overjoyed. Why should he fair trap. There would be no reason in his is why the finding of the ring should be connected with the merdeka. He would come. He will come at precisely ten minutes past eight. That evening was a shop. Ring that the bill. We heard the seven to pass along the hall and the click of the latch issue opened. It does dr watson live here asked a clear but rather harsh voice. "Hoping Dr Watson can help me with question that came over the dinner table just over the weekend with my fourth grader. Um, he has a friend who was saying to him Well, almost matter and you know, he doesn't support black lives matter. He supports our lives matter, and I'm I found myself at a loss to try to explain the nuance of difference to him between Those two statements. Um and I was just looking for any pointers. It's kind of a you know, it's It's a tricky distinction. I think it's purposely tricky, but I'm hoping that, um yeah, I hope I can just get a little bit of guidance about how to talk to someone. Whose young about That difference is That's a good question. Amy, do you have any thoughts? Sure, And I think this is something that probably has come up with a lot of dinner tables. A lot of conversations where you have to help your child understand by stating black lives matter. It doesn't state that other lives. Don't That and and that's one distinction that I know help the young people that that we've worked with in Camden City where they hear it. You know the same exact thing. They're They're kids of color, but some of their you know, friends they have online or saying the same thing. So I think you have to reiterate to your child that They have to be able to be firm and stand firm and their truth that when someone approaches them that way, say I'm not saying that you know, white lives don't matter at all. They absolutely do. But I also want to make it clear that black lives matter the same as white lies and black people are facing challenges that whites don't have to face and so sometimes we have to speak up. Speak out when we see those bad things happening, and hopefully that will be a way off again. Trying to Get them to understand this nuance on again. Going back to some of these resource is online and not being fearful in yourself as a parent and saying, You know, this is new for me, too. I'm learning this also. That's okay to say to your child. Let's read a book together. Let's read. You know what this differences between all lives matter and black lives matter. But having them being able to have this this come back off, saying that I'm not saying that Another person's life is less than I just want to say for all of the bad things that have happened to black people, I support them standing up for their rights, and I stand up for their rights, too. Great advice planet. Thanks. Suresh. Are you there? Sir? Rash. I heard you have Ah, interesting perspective on this. Yeah, I want Either. Thanks for calling in. Hey, Ex addict my calls. I love the show. Yeah, it was. I have this, You know, practice of telling stories to my kids, and this started when my daughter was two years old. Andre. It does continued. Since now she's 13 and my son is eight. But the storytelling has not stopped since then. And these stories, something that I came up On the fly on by made it a habit off telling the social issues as stories in a way that they can understand using the characters that they can relate to. For example, my son loves McQueen. So I happen to tell a story about McQueen. They're going to raise two Yeah, how they go on the base to Syria and find out that CBS in the midst of a war and how they camouflage and then making escape back and then they share some toys for the kids. Um, you know, uh And then I told my daughter about the Bhopal gas tragedy. So kids have the ability to understand information. It's just that how we relate to them out. We tell these stories, and they can process even complex issues as well as cast as religion or any of the conflict that are happening outside off their comfort zones. Environmental issues in a global warming all of that, so and now my son is able to even ask you bank. He's like that here. We're going to have a discussion trite, or is it going to be a story? Would have got down to, you know that extent. So I put together all of these stories or some of these stories into a book called You, Me and the Story. It's on Amazon as well. But that was my way of telling the parents that Hey, you know this is how we can use this style of storytelling to talk about social issues and have the kids become more aware of the reality that happening outside of there. You know, living room or outside of their homes. That's so wonderful that you can make up these kind of these stories on the fly and then tell, tell a larger, give a larger lesson and make it a parable and use these characters that they know so well. I love that. Wow. Amazing. Thank you So much for calling. Sir. I appreciate it. Thank you very much for taking my call. We're going to take. I think we have time for one more call. Carrie has a really interesting way that she is raising anti racist. I believe, Carrie. Hi, there. Hi there. I am so grateful to hear all of it what other folks are doing? And I am wife and my daughter is white and I She's now 15. But I When she was a toddler. I worked really hard at trying to be sure that we had books that represented Children of different cultures in different races. And after awhile, realized that I wanted this to be more than just abstract to my daughter. Who was she actually interacting with every day? Andre. Is she seeing models of black excellence? Because I realized that her school she was mostly just seeing books about civil rights heroes. You haven't so it was sort of the subject thing, and I made a very conscious choice. You be sure that the doctor that I chose were people of color or that the dentist that I chose and also that we were going to see the theater when we went to the ballet because she loved ballet. I would choose a ballet that had a black ballerina in in the principal role. And so this is also something that I felt was really important. After a while that she sees these constant Um, examples of black excellence and and also what we actually inviting to our home. Who are we having playdates with hui interacting with every day? And that was part of my decision to put my child in public schools. Because she had been at a private pre K and, um, the only black person that she was seeing in her private pre K was her one black teacher. And so that was another big part of my decision to put her in public school because I just wanted her to be surrounded with people who didn't look like her and felt like that was more important than just seeing them in the abstract in books. And now it 15 carriers. She turned into the young adult that you had hoped. My daughter is a very vociferous anti racist and she is steer list about bringing up anti racist issues and even calling out her teachers. When she feels like, um they're saying things that are racist. So I we have a lot to learn. I'm not, And she realizes that she has a lot to learn. But I see I am. I'm really glad I made all those choices when she was younger. Carrie, Thank you so much for calling in. We're out of time. But this has been such a wonderful discussion. I've been speaking with Hey, Emma Watson, Vice Chancellor of diversity, inclusion and civic engagement at Rutgers University and Camden, Naima. We will continue the conversation privately and maybe publicly thank you so much for taking the time out. I really appreciate that. Absolutely thanks to the collar's, too..

"Clothes selling from many dollars more now, how about that Christmas bride? Dr Watson, her name the Geneva and she was the air and only child of Lord Robert Neville, 10th Earl and 54 Barren pins Dragon. Pins, deck and Castle. Yes, I shall never forget my first glimpse of that ancient and somewhat forbidding edifice, the world gray and bleak without their summer covering of ivy. Tar Square and defiant with the Rado Rouge Dragon pennant angrily defined winter gales. Well, it is ever seeing another urgent message from Lord Neville on elegant in Boston. Shimmery had arrived to 21 B. Baker Street. Would Mr Holmes and Dr Watson do him the honor of a visit to pins dragon over the Christmas holidays. "For the next few months till there's enough vaccine. Thank you, Dr Watson. Haven't announced anything. Seems to me that you know about this record. Thank you, Rachel. And let me touch again and on the mitigation measures that have been in effect since July. Since the last time we were in this situation Our economy, of course, is different today and the fact that we've limited capacity inside our restaurants to 50% Jim's a 25% bars being transformed into restaurants at that 50% capacity, the fact that in any setting inside these places or anywhere in our economy People are masking up. If those mitigation measures will continue to be followed with accountability will be able to navigate through this, and those will remain in effect. If you look it, where are spread is happening from right now. It's really happening from gatherings in private settings. And that's why I'm asking for the public, which has been so responsible demonstrated so much common sense through this to keep their guard up and to stay vigilant likely. What the challenge we're facing right now is a result of those gatherings several weeks ago. That's why I'm talking about Christmas time and the holidays and being is responsible is possible. Listening to governor Doug Ducey and his remarks about the vaccine to fight Cove it so I'm going to get the vaccine when it's my turn, of course, Dr Characteristics getting the vaccine today and like I said her confidence as a medical doctor. In a public health professional should give people confidence in the confidence that she has in the vaccine. I am not Determined And I think what we call group one, eh? I think it's in group one B or beyond that, But when it's my turn, my sleeve will be rolled up and it will be administered. And I'm gonna be. I'm gonna be gathering with family and I'm gonna be here in town much like I did for Thanksgiving. Oh,.

"I'm glad to have you back. My boy. Seems like old time. Thank you, sir. By the way, I heard you had quite a trip this summer went back to England and Mr Bell. I must have a very delightful time renewing old friendships. Incidentally, I think you will be particularly interested in one visit that I made was to the votes of cocks his bank in Charing Cross Coxes bank. Oh, that was the home of your old black tin dispatch box, wasn't it? The one that contained all the notes on your adventures with the great Sherlock Holmes was my boy. You have a very good memory. And by any chance is that the box standing there on your table now is I brought it back with me. You see, I find it contained a veritable treasure trove of material. Notes on adventures that I had for gotten in some cases, stories that Sherlock Holmes in sisters will be published during the lifetime of the certain famous people involved you That certainly is a treasure trove. Do you mind if I take a peek in the sacred box? Doctor? Well tall, it's about a lot of musty papers, all tied up in tape. An old signature. Is that just a token of the Duke of Bedford Esteem never did fit. Hey, What's this? Dr Watson? A small dog color? Yes, by by a small dog color, And it brings to mind one of the most exciting, bizarre adventures that Sherlock Holmes and I ever encountered. I always referred to it as the adventure of the stuttering ghost. Stuttering Ghost. That sounds provocative. Doctor Watson. I hope you'll find it Soames to Bill. Doctor Watson. The floor is yours. Well, Mr Bell, the story began on a certain September afternoon in Well more years ago than I like to admit. Holmes and I was seated in our baker Street lodgings, having returned a few hours previously from a much needed holiday in Dobrinja. What trip? It proved far from risk. Fela's far as I was concerned, I could see the change. It worked wonders for my old friend. There was a touch of color is usually pale face. You were the sparkle in his eye that he was happy to be back in harness is, he said there, skimming through the letters that had accumulated during it. Johnson. Has it ever occurred to you that the entire course of history might have been changed to probably for the better is paper thin could never been invented Rubbish. It's good to be back in Vegas two together now. Yes, back to the routine of stupid letters from stupid people. After two peaceful weeks at the seaside, peaceful you spend most your time solving the problem of the lifeguard, the calabash. Diagnosis made really routine matter. Watson, though we did have its points of interests, and the thing is doctor in this morning's post usual trivialities. Duke of Granite suspects the duchess of planning to a low point of underfoot. Mint knowing the Duke I can Senator Blamer, quite Doesn't anyone use imagination and committing crimes anymore, huh?.

"Your calls for most of us our vogue I have a couple of questions first to get out of the way I want everybody to know this that since the beginning of this I don't think this man has slept more than two hours a night how do I know because while all over the world and different time zones from China to France to Europe to everywhere in between he's making phone calls he's making phone calls he is doing the deepest dive not just on hydroxy core quit but on other medicines that are potentially life saving treatment helping all of the American people we spent a lot of time talking about ventilators the first ventilators came off the GM assembly line today and and they're gonna at we're gonna have plenty of ventilators we now thanks to all of the pharmaceutical companies we have enough hydroxy core quit this drug what is it called Rezende beer what do you call it say it all run this severe rem disappear whatever are the what I can't remember all these treatments I'm not a I'm not a drug addict drug pusher what do I know and I'm not a doctor but anyway they're showing great promise and he found Dr Watson the premier expert on lupus rheumatoid arthritis and his digging he found the French studies two of them we found the the the one in China I'm always questioning that and he's talked to doctors and patients doctors that are prescribing their different medicines and treatments like hydroxy core when and other things and the patients that I've tried them and use them and our bragging that they save their lives I mean it is incredible what is going on it is incredible the amount of effort that this man is put in and I just want to say up front thank you and and then the process doing his shows every day he does hits with all a lot of his local affiliates in big markets he does fox and friends every morning as our show every night and then if we get off the phone and if he's not talking to people all over the globe he's talking to people like me that are losers asking stupid questions all day I just come to really respect how hard he's worked and his level this this is his life's calling and you know everybody in medicine just like everybody in politics has an opinion but there's nobody has worked harder and help more than Dr oz and it's great to have you back for your very kind I appreciate the other it's all true yeah well I I think the latest we stayed up at like four AM talking I thank I think you said to me I do have a hit an hour and a half fox and friends I don't know what time it was but thank you for all you're doing I know these questions are important look I know we now have numerous treatments that you have been talking at length about we now have the challenge of opening up New York City and and every state in the country but New York City obviously we can do that successfully we can do anywhere else in the country successfully the smallest geographical area largest concentration of people my plan to open New York City it's just one plan I'm a talk show host I have an opinion on everything would be half the work force in every building stay home essential personnel when they come in they get the temperature checked all day for the mean time for the interim you wear a mask you wear gloves at work social distancing because half the workforce is at home and if you have a hot spot you go in and you're you're literally lean down on it as hard as you possibly can now I also want to open Citi field in Yankee Stadium now if you're if you have an underlying medical conditions if you have a compromised immune system just take the year off you can't go the fame of football but if people would be willing to get everybody that works in the stadiums have to be tested positive or negative a covert nineteen we have the ability to do a lease that temperature checks for everybody coming in you everybody wears a mask everybody wears gloves if they want to start out every other seat I'm not married to that I would prefer that if people do it that way I think we can successfully open football and Major League Baseball and the Yankees and the Mets the giants and jets can make their own M. one you know facemasks thoughts well except most of us in line with what the White House task force came out with last night and just to reiterate is a public health measures right testing and tracing right technology can help there is no systems issues also point out which we have to make sure we have the capacity in our hospitals we have in a protective equipment to put masks and everybody all those kinds of things yeah and we that that's that's pretty important because if they did the real chilly tended to get a bunch of people to get a rental at your cholesterol and then there's the individual responsibility part that you pointed out social distancing the hygiene stay home if you're sick which is you know who view that we don't want to do that anymore and of course you gotta wear masks as you know whatever you do stuff if you want other people going to work and then of course if it is dating criteria as well got a call that is met over the course of fourteen days you see continuing decreasing cases going to keep people safe then theoretically you can go to the next step you know face to we used to take over the world yeah and the leisure activities into account you know restaurants and things like that but you pointed out the biggest takeaway which is that life for vulnerable people who have coal morbid conditions will not return to normal anytime soon right and that in fact the not gonna let me turn to have a backseat so that population which is you know perhaps the population has coal morbid conditions we got a small population would what has underlying medical conditions or compromised immune systems half yeah if you could all be city which is one of the climate conditions that they should have so we have to be thoughtful about who's most at risk of those people and how to keep number to that but I can be locked away they get they're going to get get to go out to the very beginning we don't want to have folks in the community when something happens that we didn't expect because if we're doing this and there is a hot spot you want to make sure the people in the house but are as healthy as possible so you're not connected you know hospital fighting for their life and most of the people who are without chronic conditions don't end up in a hospital so by definition they're going to be doing all you know struggling baby at home maybe not having that recently but at least you're gonna survive and do okay now the reason I lay out the plan this way look I'm healthy the very fact I recently had my blood taken and I sent you the results so for the hell of it because I was bored late at night and you laughed I weigh a hundred and seventy seven pounds I'm in the best shape of my life I'm more muscle than I've ever had in my life work out like crazy I'm in pretty good shape for an old guy so I don't fit into that category the only reason I really am well except where in the mass follow you know everyone has to accept it because I don't want it if I got it I'm gonna probably be fine because you're going to be all over it and all my doctor friends are gonna be all over it whoever whatever hospital alone I'm in they're going to hate me by the time I leave because my doctor army is going to come in every second of the day his old buddies of mine but I don't want if I got it in fact somebody that might die from this that's why I'm willing to do it and if it means to me okay if that's the only way of the choices either I wear the mask or I can't go to the game all wear the mask I'll do it and I I'll drink out of a straw all the hot dogs just lift my man's take a bite and then shoot under the respirator I'm willing to do that your short period of time is not gonna be forever right well now one factor to get to phase three of this Dan bonobo individuals can go out the public Iraq's a little bit started practice social distancing in minimizing exposure but by then you'll have proven that you can do these things like getting sick and that that'll give it one comfort that will be in the right space in your opinion with that planned work for Citi field Yankee stadium and the Meadowlands again their outdoor arenas I think it was yeah I think it'll work eventually I would start there let me start in parts of the country that have been hard hit by this virus New York is released you know we still have a hospital full of patients that's it I know you're talking about months from now but I'd like to see how parts of the country they have not been hard hit have done I'd love to have the task force evaluates what works what doesn't work you may find surprisingly effective tactics or new medications that help us with that with certain types of patients think that we don't even know yet so what we want to predict the future but I think our aspirational goal is to be able to occupy those fields before their season's over certainly in football season you have enough money that you can get there but what happens if you have an upgrade we gotta be ready to get rid of fans and just continue the games themselves or you know it's got to be we have another D. operate we have to do with those as well now one of the the the the best this will be the last question I asked them we'll take calls from our listeners for the rest of the hour I'm you have been searching and looking on you've been asking people that are taking hydroxy Cork win for either lupus or rheumatoid arthritis for those people that are on it that I've been taking it that also that I'm also contracted the covert nineteen virus the last time I asked you this question was probably a week ago you've been actively along with others trying to find that person that has been using hydroxy Cork when for the what is on label use and also contracting covert nineteen now there's a study at your affiliated hospital Columbia Presbyterian there's another one at NYU Langone going on have we found people I thought about two dozen people who say that they were on I gradually for Quinn and contracted Corbett thank team are statistically against everywhere the country heard me then you have many more than that but the fact that we have some gives us a place to start to begin started that we would be taking it regularly what was your dose how would expose was this exposure let me just gives us some clues the insurance study is continuing as well we're trying to article two a bunch of insurance records and figure out what percentage of people who are already kicking hydroxy clerks and chronically can tell that because you can see the insurance records are dictating and then click on the medical records you can tell the guy called the nineteen now that we've had two weeks of a physical with nineteen data entered into the Medicare database makes it easier for us to query this again what the reason for the audience we're trying to do this is if it turns out the people who.

"Sherlock Holmes fans? Or at least familiar with the stories of the famous detective. I'm told that Sherlock and his trusty friend and assistant Dr Watson went off on a camping trip together one particular weekend and after settling into their locale for the night. They enjoyed a unusually fine meal cooked over the campfire a lovely bottle of wine, and then they turned in to get some sleep several hours later sherlock's suddenly awoke, and he looked up and what he saw concerned him, and he began to nudge, his his good friend Watson Watson, he says Watson wake up wake up Watson began to stir. And finally turned his what is it Sherlock? What is it Watson look up and tell me what you see which point Watson struggling to wipe the sleep from his eyes fixed his gaze above and said, we'll track. I I see millions of stars. What does? Does that tell you ask stroke? Now, this time Watson is wide awake. And he is not wanting to upset or actually wanting to please, his brilliant mentor. And so Watson takes a moment to answer the questions, and he studies the circumstances carefully. And then he says this. He says. Astronomically I seem billions of galaxies and probably billions of planets out there. Astrologically? I see that Saturn is in Leo horror logically. I deduce that it is approximately a quarter past three in the morning. Logically, I perceive. The God is great. And we are very small and meteorologically I perceive that is going to be a very fine day tomorrow. Why do you ask Sherlock ask Dr Watson? Ooh. What is it that you see to which the famous detective responded Watson? I see that someone has stolen. Our tent? I tell.

"I feel like that's could be a funny idea. I just don't think it turns out to be very funny in this film. So I doubt you're going because you're thinking, oh, great. I love Sherlock, Holmes. I can't wait to see him be made fun of. Yeah. Don't it's really just for the name welfare and John C Reilly. Also, as I said before this film came out on Christmas day. Also, this film had not been screened for critics before it was released to the public many critics hated that. And then the critics that did go out to see the film and then subsequently right about it. Really? Just like hated this film. They were very harsh about it. And yeah, I understand why sometimes even comedies that come out in art good in the box office become like cult classics later. I do not see this happening for this film again. So sorry. Also, my final point about this film is the controversy that has arisen about it and around it. So the first controversy, which I thought was very strange is that the film has two different opening scenes, which is bizarre. So this was brought up because there is one opening scene that has been showing in the US which shows like it opens up and Sherlock, Holmes young. Boy, he gets bullied at school, and because of the bullying, he becomes this like logical unfeeling Sherlock Holmes that we all know. But then there is a nother opening scene where you see Sherlock a garden not as a child, but as of adult, and he is admired his plans. And then like, Dr Watson comes and tries to jump into the garden, and he liked falls into the plant and crushes it. But the plant is poisonous and like that type of thing. Anyway, this was brought up by a believe I brought up by a Reddit user who brought. The public's attention on read it, and they were in Australia. I believe and they said that they had seen the opening where Sherlock Holmes as an adult and other users from other countries that were not the US like New Zealand claims that they had also seen this opening. And the reason they mentioned it is because they were like this is different from what the trailers sort of said that the trailer showed Sherlock Holmes as child. So like, oh, this is different. And people in the US were confused granted, no one in the US is going to know if like they actually changed the opening because no one who sought originally is going to go back and pay to see it again. Really? No one's gonna wanna watch it again. I'm sure when it comes out on DVD, they'll put both openings on L alternative scenes, maybe, but I mean isn't even going to like bite on DVD like we've been watching DVD's anymore. No one even has a DVD player except like your parents. Anyway, I thought it was funny. People just thought it was really strange and. Yeah. Films have been known to have like slightly different tweaks and certain scenes and things like that. And different parts of the world. Maybe like due to cultural sensitivities or just censorship things. But it's really unclear why they would just replace a scene completely in a film for different audiences in different parts of the world. I don't know if they were just like it's doing really bad on the US. Maybe we'll try this. I don't I don't think it helps them. So sorry. So yeah, it's different versions that have been released to the public not like to screen like review audiences. It's really out there, which is. Yeah. That's just super strange. And I don't know. I don't know the other scene is better. I doubt it also the last part about this film that I wanted to bring up is the idea. I guess I was this is like a controversy. But it was an article that I read on the website the verge, and I just thought it was interesting because they were trying to say this movie signifies the end of big comedies, which is a bold statement, in my opinion. But what they said this is a quote from the verge as recently as five years ago, most years produced at least a couple of designated big comedy hits..
