"R C And George Noory back with our final segment with Dr Rupert Sheldrake and Rupert working People get your book ways to go beyond and why they work. Well in some bookstores, of course, and certainly online. On Amazon and on other online books, hellos. And it's also available as an e book and also as an audio book read by me, So for those who like listening to things rather than reading them, that's a great way to to experience it. So Have a go, and I hope it will be very helpful to those who read it or listen to it. All right, let's go to the calls Now. Brendan's with us in Austin, Texas. Welcome to the show. Hi, Brandon. Hey, George. And thanks, Tom. And all the listeners and Dr Sheldrick Children, Right? Yes. Okay. Gotcha. Um, so I had two questions. My first question is about EVP, electronic voice phenomenon and Art Bell was a big fan of that he always enjoyed in. He had a hard time poking holes in it. And I do too. Do you think that, um most TV PR the period Olya, the our brains searching for a pattern and the noise? My note on that is I've had e v P s that have taught me words before in English and Spanish. Um, So my second question is. Have you ever heard of this whole investigation? S C o l. E there in England and and, uh, London, and they say that they had contacted Thomas Edison and aliens and loved ones. It was with the head of engineering of the University of London. Arthur Ellison. Uh, do you know anything about that, or think that that's authentic? Okay. Thanks, Brendan. Well, first tvp, um, electronic voice phenomena. Um, I've simply never looked into that. I had a good friend here in Britain, David Fontana, who did look into it, And he thought there was something going on the critics. As you know, as you mentioned, say, that people are just reading sons into it. Well meaning into it. I simply haven't looked at the data well enough to have an informed opinion. And so you know, if it's true, it's exciting. I've listened to some of these tapes myself and I couldn't make up much. It's not a clear cut situation. So sorry not to have any sort of personal insurgents that, um, in terms of skull, the Sco's village in Norfolk in eastern England. And there were these investigations carried out by the Society for Psychical Research. Arthur Ellison was one of the team. And they invited me to go along to one of these sessions, so I actually personally experienced the Skull events. Well, they involved was well four people living in a house, an old victory Ridge in in a village in Norfolk and the basement, the seller Um, was a kind of sales room. And they had a series of sales is, um, channeling various people, including supposedly former members of the Society for Psychical Research. And what was remarkable about them was that they had a lot of physical phenomena, objects levitated, and the table, seemingly disembodied hands appeared. I saw this myself. Small lights moved around the room. It was in darkness. So there were these tiny lights moved around the room, And at first I thought they were just led lights on the end of nylon fishing lines or something. But then Gun service, thinking it a light sort of hit the table Bang and then appeared from under the table and floated up into the air again, rather refuted the led on a nylon line. Phiri. Um there are lots of things I saw. I couldn't explain. Crystal started blowing and then started moving around. Um It's the You know, I just didn't know what to make of it. I saw all these things myself. But then you know, I'm a scientist, and I'm trained in skeptical inquiry and stuff. And I thought, Well, maybe this They're doing this and what really was so unsatisfactory, But it was that it had to be in darkness. They wouldn't do this with the lights on and two. I was never sure what was really going on. All these amazing phenomena that disembodied hands and things that bit like sort of the Adams family type activities. Or, um, you know, is this some kind of trick or just couldn't make my mind up? Because it's in a sense, the things that I was seeing, we're kind of almost like cliches of Of you know this kind of sales physical phenomena. The conversations were also the Channel Communications, where also Okay? Not completely. Satisfying. For example, I asked the channeled voices from the other side. Former members of society cycle research what it was like there and started asking quite penetrating questions. And then they said all we're feeling tired, you know? The energies having we can't carry on etcetera, and then they disappeared. So it wasn't altogether satisfactory. I was left just with questions in my mind rather than answers. Um, And although I witness it personally, I just don't know what was going on. Um so You know these things rather partly depends on what you think plausible whether these people could have been tricking people into into by doing clever kind of country trip tricks and the darkness. I just don't know. So I'm just left again. I'm afraid. Unfortunately, I can't give you a clear answer. Let's go to the Harry and Port Huron, Michigan. Welcome to the show. I, Harry. Hey there, George. I want to share this. This happened to me in 1992. I moved here to Port Huron. In 91. I was alone had no one in my life and I'd cry on the weekend. I was very depressed and The 92 before Labor Day. The night before Labor Day. I'm at a party. And we all walked out of there, heading home to vehicles about quarter to one in the morning. And this This cat. Somebody said Harry and I can't see and somebody said Harry, something you're being followed. I said I'm being followed. And they said Yeah, you're you're being followed black hat. And so I walked toward the car. I get into the car. My friend says area very easy. Easy. I said What? What? What The cat is climbing up. Decided the car door. Uh, she's climbing up the side of the car door after you. Um, and she stood at the she stood on the ledge where the window isn't stared at me, he said. She's looking at you. Caller. She might just jump on your lap. She jumped on my lap. I took her home. That kid comforted me like it was incredible. The love of that animal. Um, it was like God it was God put her there. Because I needed her in the worst way. What do you think of that? Robert?.

"For people who are non believers? Well, I don't really feel sorry for them, but I think that they're deceiving themselves through, um, putting too much faith in this in this belief system. I mean, they accused religious people of believe of having blind faith. Yes, Actually, I think in the modern world, the people who have the blind ist faith the believers in science, because, uh, you know, at least religious believers even believes in more extreme forms of Religious fundamentalism realized that what they have is a faith system. They call it faith. Where's the believers in this scientific belief? Worldview? The size scientists, um, is really the best word for it. The religion of science. Um, they didn't realize it's a belief system. They just think it's the truth. Um, so they don't even not even aware enough to realize that this is actually a belief system. That is not the truth. It's it's a worldview that they've learned and been inculcation with. Um, I think it's a limitation for people who have it. It's I think it limits their experience limits them from exploring realms of consciousness and connection, and it's basically depressing. And I think that's one reason why. In the modern world the communist form of mental disorders depression. There are tens of millions of people on antidepressants in Europe, and probably here, too. Probably. Um, And why are they on two presidential depressants? It's often because they feel isolated, uh, point that life's pointless that the official ideology of science says, you know, living a meaningless purposeless universe. Your life is nothing but Your conscious experiences, nothing but chemical and electrical changes inside your brain. And when you die, it all goes blank. That's a pretty depressing world view. And so I think that is not surprising. This is so predominant, Rupert, We're going to take a quick break. We're going to come back and take Frank phone calls with you was promised.
