Metals That Work Like Magic

"A few weeks ago. The wall street journal featured an article about a man who was mining bitcoin from a computer in his house. The computer was working so hard. It was heating up the entire room. It coin put your computer through a lot of calculations and many of us are spending most of our time at home these days so the man found a way to use all that energy coming off of his computer he siphon date to heat a greenhouse and grow basil and cherry tomato. That's how much energy has computer was wasting and it's not just the bitcoin guy. All of the devices were using. Give off excess energy. How many times have you noticed your laptop. Scorching your thighs collectively. We lose billions of dollars every year because of this so-called waste heat. It got me thinking about futuristic alternatives. That could work to reduce that waste. So i reached out to an expert. I'm marvin cohen. I'm university professor of physics at the university of california at berkeley. Dr cohen explained that this waste heat from all of our devices happens because of friction too much friction from electrons the electrons. Go down the wire and they bump into things sort of in the wire is heated so they knocked around and that gives you resistance and the wire gets hot. Cohen says that friction is called electrical resistance. And it's just what happens when you conduct electricity. it's normal. It means that some of the energy gets lost but there is a way to get around it to manipulate the electrons. So the wires don't get hot and energy doesn't get lost so if you could bring them together and keep them together you'll have a superconductor

"You. Thanks for hanging out canIs Ta M 7 90 Tucson's most stimulating talk. Three things I think you need to know. Number one. Is that Queen Creek schools voted for their school boat. A school board voted for 21 To say we're going to have in class learning with teachers President what a shocker right starting on Monday. There are charter schools that are doing the same thing. And this is remarkable. People have had enough. It's about time. You have an option If teachers want to quit, quit, what do you want from me? You know, you might not be okay in your own mind, but that has nothing to with my kid. So this is fantastic. Second thing that I think you need to know the numbers today so far this week week of August 9th. Chema County has a 5.2% positive testing reefer the virus member Dusa remember what he said. 7% or under. Gotta be two straight weeks along with the other two requirements, and I can't even remember the top of my head with the downward cases, the hospital the percentage of going to the hospital for covert like symptoms. We've got the other two. The third is this and we're at 5.2 last week where it's seven to an Pema County. Where is Where is Dr Cohen? The chief propagandist over there? The Pima County Department of Health. Where is that overpaid hack failed. Left This journalist named Mark Be Evans, their communications director. What, Like, Like. Well, anybody in the media ask these geniuses. Hey, look at this well under 7%. We're getting there. Remember, Colin said Ah, reporter yesterday. I think six or seven weeks at a minimum two schools can open. And you don't have to You. You don't even listen to these guidelines. By the way, Like Pema counties, the one have you heard of any other county pressuring schools to close Third thing. I think you need to know you have 80 about 80 bars now joining the lawsuit against Ducey saying you were unfairly targeting us. It's going to the state Supreme Court and issue law professors representing him, he says. It's vindictive. It is it is. It's weird that makes no sense. You have restaurants that you know that have even less space in the restroom where they serve alcohol there allowed to open but a bar where they actually do have tables for social distance. They were told to close depending on their liquor license. Music is ridiculous. You also have a a CZ water park up in Mesa. Golf land, son Sunsplash. I think it is. They're suing because they're like their hotels that have the same things as us and they're allowed to be open. And state Senator Vince A. Leech admitted to a list of her mind. Well, Gary doesn't understand. Is that we meet with Ducey weekly. And I'm thinking this And yet we continue to lose freedoms like Wait. Open your mouth on that one. Vince Leech. Dude, That's why I'm pissed the Republicans. That's why I'm pissed. They're sitting back. At least it, Vince. Bitch lied to me, and he said, We're how many others were meeting with him. That's people eventually didn't want to sign the petition right to a request. Do C have a special session? Oh, buddy, buddy. Yeah, have been sleep, Tch. Julia. Right? Three things I think you need to know. So I've had this story and it really is a big We've had so much local stuff going on. I mean, this is like a primetime story right here. This and it's sad. It's terrible. I hate talking about this, and this shouldn't happen. But the media went absolutely bananas right over George Floyd. Anytime. Somebody into a black guy they go bananas over. Special when a cop does it. Capture him TV. I doesn't have to even be white. But a black man. In Wilson, North Carolina, a 25 year old Why talk about the race because it gets no coverage? What if a 25 year old white guy walked up to a five year old little black boy? Who was riding his bicycle. Honest street and goes up to put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger and kills him Execution style. There'd be riots. We've seen it for less right. There would be riots. Ah, we'd be racist. You have people on cable news, saying all white people are Racists. This is Trump's fault, blah, blah, blah. I mean that that did sick and this five year old boy this fiber lame cannon, Hinnant. It's no longer and I can't even imagine. How do you recover from this is apparent Turns out this 25 year old black man named Darius Sessoms. Lived literally next door. To the five year olds, Father Apparently he even had dinner with his father over the weekend. Nobody knows why this guy did this. So he lives next door. He saw his this five year old boy riding his bicycle. He was in between his two sisters, ages seven and eight. And neighbors saw it, they told W. R E O in North Carolina. He walked up to the kids with the gun of one kid and pulled the trigger and right through the head. He was writing in his front yard, writing his bike. Then this 25 year old man took off in a black vehicle if the shooting wasn't apprehended until Monday by the U. S Marshal Service. Charge first degree murder. Apparently he wants to desire his own lawyer rejected an attempt have a judge appointed attorney forum. One neighbor said. Our neighbors saw it. She said Sessoms.

Just had no right to do what she did who stories this. This isn't just her story. This is this is the falsely accused mother story. This is a whole other people are part of the story. I don't think one person gets to just decide I'm going to tell the story one way and only let people tell it who believe me. Compl- uncritically. What about the other people in the story? I thought I was investigating an accusation against the possibly innocent person. I don't I it doesn't seem to me like what she was upset by was that there was another way of telling the story, I think what she found upsetting was that you found out who she was and looked into her life, without asking her without thinking about her. Well, don't you think that, that, that that's what journalists do all the time? Usually when you write a story about someone you contact them or you ask them, what they think of the things that you've found out. Actually, I you know, I. I there were times when I would have liked to have talked to her. I think I even wrote up some questions that I might want to ask her. But in the end we decided that it was just too risky risky. How I just remember that? We're going to be conditions and, and. I just made us nervous. And so we decided we would just publish what we had found out through many, many other sources. And. And leave it at that. And that's, that's what we did Nicole suit with the help of a lawyer, who took a case for free. "Bernardo was coming up for parole. His Scarborough rapist, he's all kinds of things when I was in fourth grade. We were told we weren't allowed to go to the park. So the forest all field trips were cancelled while they tried to catch him. And they didn't catch him till? I was in college. He had an accomplice Karla Homolka Bernardo's still in jail. He'll probably always be in jail. But Karla Homolka who did terrible things to people in girls in particular, including relatives. She was let go and allowed to become a vet tech with access to animals and drugs, and that's always not sat well with me. And I think as a psychology professor, you're the right person to ask about this. How can that even happen? I don't know how it could happen. But there is a lot of gator which shows that one of the markers for. Individuals who later go on to become mass murderer sitting that kind of thing is animal abuse, and you find there was a study which was run who looked at twenty three mass murders, and they found four major symptoms which were common among all of these mass murders and one of the most prominent was early animal abuse. So it doesn't make sense to take someone who's committed those crimes and put them in a situation with animals and drugs. Does it? No. I mean, I wouldn't do it. But I suppose. Of my clinical colleagues are always much more optimistic, and I'm sure that one of them would probably say, well, if she's doing good dogs did maybe in fact, she's recovering. That's another way of looking at it. I guess so we were talking about dogs helping each other and a long long time ago. I rescued a dog who had a big tumor in his neck and other things too. And at one we had a stroke in the middle of the night. He was a rottie cross any went blind overnight. And he was bumping into things. It was just terrible. And this dog this blue heeler didn't especially like him. I thought until that day. She started to be his seeing eye dog. Like what you're talking about? She would run outside. Bark tried show him the way and he'd follow her bark. And it was just so kind she could have chosen to body check him in and do it in her usual rude way. But she didn't she chose to do it in the most gentle kind way. And I think sometimes dogs helping other dogs really shows us just what they're really like deep down. Have you? Got any other beautiful stories to share with us before we end in one or two minutes. When I had my flat could retriever he ended up dying way too young of cancer. But one of the symptoms of the cancer was cut cold. And his wife got pregnant. Well, what do you know about that? There's a shocker and so then after he's furious you run the tests again. That's a difficult conversation. FDA, Viagra and Dr Cohen discussed on Dr. Daliah

"Study published today in the journal JAMA medical experts on the FDA to take more urgent action to remove the tainted supplements from the market they say, the agency's failure to aggressively use all available tools to remove pharmaceutically adulterated supplements from commerce leaves consumers health at risk. So basically analyze data from FDA database dietary supplements teen with pharmaceuticals that have been identified in the agency from two thousand seven to two thousand sixteen seven hundred seventy six supplement brands were found to contain drugs. Eighty six percent by the were marketed for sexual enhancement or weight loss. Twelve percent marked with muscle building. They say one in five products at twenty percent had more than one hidden drug ingredient. So what were some of these drugs sildenafil, which is an active ingredient Viagra? Trimming, which is a banned weight-loss drug was weight loss supplements. And then in the muscle building supplements, they found synthetic steroids or steroid like ingredients. It makes sense because I've had people swear by things over the counter, and I'm like, wait a second. You. You would have to be taking steroids. For beyond to stop you. You would have to be on real synthetic steroids to build that muscle. There is no over the counter legal supplement that does that. Well, if it's tainted then there you go. But apparently this research by Dr Cohen and colleagues has found that supplements continue to be sold in stores, even after they are recalled. They say the shocking finding the current studies at over the half never recalled in the first place. Why not? We don't know. Now, the FDA complain years back during the Obama administration that there is not enough. Staff member we have that whole area outbreak. And were they complaining that there's not enough of them that the FDA is supposed to be huge IRS agents. There's not enough of us. I think there's too many. So what I wanna know is what's been happening. I understand they've been very busy. They have been very busy. I get that. There's a lot going on people vaping Viagra. And now they have to go out of the east. Cub go after these companies are also going after these companies like jewel for marketing to kids. So the FDA is taking a lot of extra work. I get that. The problem is is their stuff out on our shelves that people can use that. Can unfortunately, you know now. Now. And if I was a supplement company, I would be helping out the FDA God, wait a second here. These guys are making us look bad. They're competing with us because they're sticking pharmaceuticals into their drug. There's about what maybe one hundred forty six companies involved in making the tater supplements. Apparently, what does the FDA do when they get caught? Well, fifty number tools. They could send a warning letter. A warning letter who that's scary. That's an shivers spine an FDA warning letter. Who think visit the factory for an inspection? Or are they going issue? A mandatory recall. They said though with these hundred forty-seven companies you have to just seven warning letters. And did not issue any mandatory recalls. So Dr Cohen says there's just no way to this other than the FDA is simply doing their job. So what how bad is this? Well. Mean for weight loss can increase blood pressure increased heart rate. It's speed. It's an Amine like amphetamine. There can be very very dangerous. If somebody's trying to lose weight because her blood pressure was told that it was too high and then dropped thirty pounds. You don't think all blood pressure medicine? They take something like this. They can have a hemorrhagic stroke. And if you are a risk for stroke, heart disease that could be bad. Studied back in two thousand fifteen the dietary supplements are tied to twenty three thousand ER visits and two thousand hospitalizations in the US each year. Nobody talks about that. You never see that in the news dietary supplements causing twenty three thousand emergency room visits a year. Now, somebody can say, well, wait, a second and average ER says twenty three thousand patients a month. Well, fine. But it's still big number to me. So what does the FDA you have to do well of to scientific American? They have got to get these companies to do a voluntary recall than if not they gotta go in. And they got a guy shut it down. I don't see how companies I don't see how companies are allowed to exist. If they're breaking the law. They should lose their license. If I was the FDA, and I caught a company, spike. I mean, this is criminal. We'll talk about going. All right. Well, let's issue. A letter. If you have a product in there. Now, you are not supposed to have. And you are advertising that you are natural. And that you do not have a product if you are false labeling that is criminal. They should lose their license. It'd be thrown in jail. Why are we doing that? This makes no sense. Well, we have to be nice and. Let's say they had. No, no, no, no, no. We are having people lacing stuff and consumers you've got to be smarter than this. Now. Listen, I am just like you. If there is a good TV ad. I get suckered into it. Marketing is fantastic. Anybody who likes? I collagen has got to be blown away by marketing I was getting my pedicure, and I really hate going to a salon to get my nails done. But I do I like my salon, but I just hate getting my nails done. And there was an infomercial plane, and it was on a makeup spray. Apparently, how do I forget what it is. When you spray the makeup on. You forget it's supposed to be nice and smooth. And I'm watching this commercial. And I'm like I need to do that. Because you guys have seen the way I put on my makeup. It's like ridiculous. This is curry so I can painted on me like a spray. Can I love that? You know, let me go to Lowe's, Home Depot and go to the spray. Cam section. I love spray paint. So I could Payton spray my makeup on me. I bought one of those and that was like in the last five years, and I should know better. But
