"I mean, like, even though you know that putting him on the wall of their chief center, you know, he's really feet. Whenever we go back there. You're gonna see a lot of Kevin Durant on the walls there. Um, that was just a one night. They never talk smack about him. They didn't leak bad stories like, you know, a lot of times that people leave, like all of the dirt comes out, right? I mean, like, later on people all the stuff people didn't want to talk about while you're there like, no, they haven't done that. You know good on that, Like it was very different with Oklahoma City, right? I mean, they everybody showed up some cakes and e. I saw a guy outside with a snake. I mean, my goodness. Did she looked it up? You know, I'm going to play doctor right in the nose is well, you know, I like her tweets and I and I guess you're like a sister to go to college. And then I was like, I'm not gonna try to explain it that way way. It is a little more serious. I think that attended night is 10 Anos is a little more chronic sort of learned about this first with with With coy Leonard. When it is it is by injuries. Quad injury was attended, knows this situation. And it's a little more chronic. It's a little It's like a stiffening of it of the Achilles. So you know, never great, especially when we're talking about Achilles because I can leave the other things. So I Question why he was out there in the first place, and I don't blame the Lakers. I think that's a player decision. I think it's sort of like he probably just wanted to play be out there, etcetera. But like man, like we're in February like you have some Anything with your Achilles. I would have just sat for a while, like, Don't mess around the just sit for three weeks, So I think they'll do that. This time A Zilong is that memory comes back. Where it's not some kind of terror or it's not like a partial, You know, I just don't I don't think any way thinks it's a tear. I think they think it's just a stiffening and there and that you can. It's up to the player about his his comfort level. Right? Um, isn't the issue And this is this is from my buddy. Dr Clapper here in l. A. You remember him? Yeah. We can put people in a baby. They call in every weekend and ask him what to do, right? Um The answer is usually having to do with like a walk in the pool. But have you were listening? So so, 30 minutes before biking, swimming yoga and then just sit down. I think those of the fourth brings your once you turn 40 those the only things you're allowed to do it. Yeah, He told me it was the wish. My back. He said walking the pool. I tried that didn't work bed rest for two days. I tried that. You know, I did. I did with Clapper told me anyway, Um five minutes. Let's get some surgery of it. Let's get the hell out of there. Yeah, Yeah, I know. I did, like seven other things before that, So I did Good. Yeah. Okay, Mike, Hostess show Now listen to you. I'm I have to credit him because he did explain it to me this way, he said, especially in veteran players. They're prone to re injury or overcompensating, too could create new injuries. Young players can be treated a little differently. There were resilient, like, Yeah, we all are hunt bounce off you, man. But the real issue is the scar tissue. Okay, so Do you have injury? Create six scar tissue, and it's not great to have start issue in attendance cake kids not flexible, So I think there's there's some concern. Yeah, I mean, and we lived through that with Katie up in the bay. No. It didn't turn out. Good. Um, I think that's so that when they when they saw this, that's kind of it immediately brought about memories. It's like, Dude, if this is sore, get get out of here because you know the you know, like I mean, the worst injury and sports can happen, you know, will snap of a finger. Yeah, So, Clapper says Emery is not as important as the players comfort if they say tightness or soreness. You've got to shut them down until there 100% pain free, So I think that's what's gonna happen. Next. E think it's gonna be if I were the Lakers. It's February 15th. I only know that yesterday was theoretically, Valentine said on that video, you think Brown census theoretically, theoretically is an amazing word in this this moment. Right now, those sounds like my husband goes. You want to do something valid handed? I'll take Have you like what And he was like, all right, e giving you your old clothes that I just had back surgery. What? What is it we're doing? We could order something nice on Postmates. You like Yeah. Okay, but anyway, so Yeah. Look, it's February 15th shut him down. Stewed. Just don't play until you feel 100%. I don't want to see him out there for at least two weeks. Come on. I don't want to see another one of these, like decision. Shut it down. There's no urgency right now s so I think if it was if you're asking Doctor Momo, Okay, rescued Jack. You're all right. There's it's the food starts with that before you get into your thousand dollar lab tests. Ask them what they ate yesterday. And everything opens up from there. Well so right. It's the food and one of the things you love saying. It's the food is the food is the food yeah And so that leads me to one of the I mean. There's so many things that you do over the course of this week with these engine to immersion. Whether it's being a lecturer weather it is you know doing your Galileo story at talent. Show night whether it's telling blood curdling tales around the Campfire. Whether it's giving us a lesson on the stars and you know the planets that is just mesmerizing. So you you bring such an amazing depth of spirit but one of the things one of your lectures was why everybody matters And and that's what I want to focus the next twenty five minutes. Sure let me start by saying you know you start this lecture by saying you know people we have to kind of we gotta get rid of our sacred cows and can you talk about that for a sec. Oh sure there are. Few things more primordial than people's taste preferences They get ingrained in US so early. Our mother literally Fed us but that loving look on her face as she spoon. The whatever into our mouths That we associate that food with love of our mother and with who we are positioned family our position in society that the that Term Comfort Food and contains a whole lot of emotional charge to it. And it's one of the major obstacle major forces. We have to take into account when we're trying to get people to change what they're eating and start eating healthier and those kind of folks and I was one of them years ago We carry a whole herd of sacred cows in our head. That I like these foods. My doctor didn't tell me that they weren't a good thing to eat. I grew up eating. These foods. Whole Foods sells these foods. How could you say these are bad and or at least that these aren't helping me and these are just some of the things we need to confront and and just putting up that slide and going down the list people laugh but there's a little ring of truth and I do believe that and it makes them Have a look their sacred cows? Name Them And Take you let him out to pasture. Hopefully yeah and we all have our sacred cow over one of them everywhere and then you follow that up immediately by saying I want you to get off your butts And what are some of the butts that people are having a hard time getting off of? Oh Yeah I bet But the food tastes good but they're cheap to To purchase but their convenience but they don't seem to be hurting me but but but everything to dig the claws in whole Lonzo to those seeking after but wholefood sells food. Chelsea's victory exactly. Yeah yeah the list is is never ending so I love how straightforward you are with people and you kind of tell them like how it is in a very straightforward manner that I think people appreciate and you know one of the things you you say and I love the way you say it is that you don't know anything to anybody. Can I hear you say that? Sure the my job in in that talk is to liberate people from the sacred cows beliefs and When you really get down into the crevices of what people hold onto and why they're afraid to make a change in something as important as their diet alive it has to do. They're afraid with what what their friends are going to say about them. Th- The ribbing they're gonNA take at the at the dinner table or at the restaurant eating that rabbit food and And where you answer. Protein all the old Cliches get trotted out. But especially for person. Who's just making this transition? Those are formidable. And it's a scary thing and so I want to help people just break down because what is it and tell them you. Heaven forbid you you get a heart attack or stroke Tony. You would hospital bed. It's not the people at work. It's not your daughter in law. It's not the people knew. Go out to dinner with its you were. You're a grown man. You're grown woman. The man what people think. Yeah at this point. You don't owe anything to anybody. You know any excuses. You know owe any apologies. You're grown men are grown woman. It's nobody's business. What you order for lunch Make decision that's best for your body and for the larger body if you have any concern at all about the animal's planet and children in the future that we can talk about that as it unfolds. But it's time to free yourself from this paper. Tiger bill going to think but it's two thousand nineteen Is Not that revolutionary idea? People know that a lot of foster trying to eat healthier and plant based diets are really a reasonable alternative. And it's It's getting easier and easier. Don't let that from fear that you may have had when you were teenager that my friends in school are going to laugh at me. Push pests tach anybody except your health?
