"Greeley because it seems as though The candidates that were successful in their bid are the candidates that are fully behind parent choice. Not parents centered whatever that means but parent choice. And you've got that very ambitious agenda a good one at that That is being affected by greeley evans. School district superintendent. Touch deirdre pills. She needs the backing of that board to make it all happen. Yeah it's going to be interesting to watch how that all plays out your mission. Some of those other school boards late last night. I saw look like douglas county school board was going all republican in those elections as well i think it was a pretty good night for republicans here in the state of colorado which is weird to say yeah. I couldn't disagree even weird to say that it was a good night for republicans in virginia even in new jersey. But yeah you're absolutely right now. You know that's really no surprise when you look at douglas county for example Going conservative But colorado springs seems to be and again These are all numbers that need to be fully vetted and approved by all of the county clerk's all of the excuse me all of the clerk recorders but it seems as though. Yeah you've got both colorado springs and a douglas county going conservative in terms of the makeup of those school boards talking with host of mornings with gail gayle. Fallon right now about an election recap. Okay let's talk about virginia. This was a state that joe biden won by ten points in twenty twenty and now the republican comes in and glen yung-chen cleans up a wins. The governor's race in virginia. What are your thoughts on that. Well again glenn young and now you know you talk about single issue candidate. Well he went all in on that. Basically saying look this is all about education and it worked for him and terry mcauliffe the former governor of the state running again. This time around didn't do himself any favors. And i'm paraphrasing here. When he came out late in the campaign and said well. I really don't think that parents really should have any say in what our schools are teaching to. Its was this kind of massive. Wait what did he say he rightfully so to. You don't say that no you don't but it's not only yung-chen but you've got winsome sears. Also republican making history. In virginia's the first woman woman of color to be elected To lieutenant governor and republican jason mirus on track to defeat the incumbent attorney general mark herring democrat in that race as well but i mean this is the first time in twelve years that you've seen a republican in virginia have a statewide victory in and of itself. Should tell you a little something. And how alarming. I mean the alarm bells gotta be going on for democrats across the nation as wurley a year in and in joe biden through. Its full weight behind behind terry mccullough. Who's running in virginia and still be hated to defeat like this. The alarm bells got to be going off well and it's interesting now. I talked to a political scientists this morning and i asked him that question. This as many say on both sides of the aisle a bell weather election and he came back with some. I thought was absolutely brilliant. Tanner he says. Well you know. They got a lot of time to fill those talking heads do then. That's what they get paid to do. But you even had a vice president kamala harris saying yes that this election particularly looking at virginia new jersey is a bellwether for the democrats in twenty twenty two and twenty twenty four. And i have to ask you how can it not be no..

Was there a problematic culture at the stem school highlands ranch in Colorado before this week's school shooting? ABC's? Alec stone continues his. Coverage of the investigation and joins us now on the KOMO news line, Alex, what's coming to light. I taylor. What we now know the back in December that a parent anonymously called the Douglas county school district warning that stem school islands ranch was a very troubled school worried about a repeat of Columbine on the campus, baron Jiang. There was a perfect storm a high drug culture high pressure environment saying that cocaine math marijuana LSD were being used and many students were suicide and violent. Now, we don't know if anything of what this parent was talking about had anything to do with what unfolded on Tuesday at at the school. With the parent was apparently worried enough to call you could make the argument that there are many high schools across the country that would have high pressure environment students who might be suicidal drugs being used by students. Nonetheless, parrot was worried enough to call the school district and report this district sent the concerns to the school in a letter the director of that school got the letter and claim that the letter was defamatory at that time. They even filed a lawsuit to force the phone company to turn over who made that phone call, and it kind of fell apart from there never really went anywhere. But apparently, they did get this claim made months ago and the school disagreed with it at that time, and it doesn't we don't know if anything was done with that warning. But but seems like it just quietly went away. I wonder if maybe the district had such a strong response initially though, because they invoked the memory of Columbine. It's just down the road from the stem school. Yeah. It only about four or five miles away. It's not very far at all. And everybody in Colorado is still very much connected to the Columbine story whether directly emotionally that that if you live in Colorado, you know, what happened there, and you know, what happened at the Aurora movie theater. Only maybe seven eight miles the other direction out in Aurora, which is not very far away at all. So this is an area that is very attuned to. To what happens with active shooters and the impact of them and people in the area know, very well. And we also learned the school didn't have a uniformed police officer or sheriff's deputy assigned to the school. But there was an armed security guard. What can you tell us about the guards actions during the shooting? Well, we know now that investigators are looking at what that twenty nine year old marine vet with a private security firm. What he did they now believe that he may have been the one firing on responding sheriff's deputies that in the fog of war. Nobody's making the claim. He did this on purpose. But with everything that was going on that he may have thought that they were more shooters coming in and the gun fire that they heard when they pulled up, and when they went running in the gunfire the day took it's now believed may have been coming from him. And the one of the injured students may have been shot by mistake by that security guard. It does not look like a disappointed the sheriff's deputies themselves fired eight bullets. Any rounds? But it does look like the security guard did one of those rounds may have hit a student may have been directed at who turned out to be those sheriff's deputies, and they're trying to turn Ravel all of this. Now that we're told by a number of sources, this is evolving, this may change. But as of now looks like that that that security guard was was firing ABC's. Alec stone with us on KOMO news. "Shooters are in custody all school activities in the Douglas county school district have been cancelled for tonight. All right. Let's check in now with John Morrissey. He's watching traffic I in and around the highlands ranch stem school and the Northridge rec center, John. What's the latest? It is still very very heavy with traffic on that C four seventy drive. According to you might imagine this scene. This this area where the stem school is. And also the Northridge rec center where the kids are being re reunited with parents about an mile mile and a half apart just south of C, four seventy between loosened and Broadway. So that whole area in there. You've got a lot of road closures around the school. And you've got a lot of traffic with parents trying to get to their kids at the north. Fridge wrexham. You gotta have your ID. You're going to have to sign the kids out. It is a process, and it is a slow process. I'm seeing a lot of traffic on that highlands ranch. Parkway drive just south of the stem school. Also, a lot of traffic on Broadway coming down from C four seventy there's an accident. The area to see four seventy is really jammed up across highlands ranch as you can imagine with the extra traffic with parents trying to get to their kids. You've got a crash coming off the ramp from Santa Fe onto westbound C four seventy that's complicating things storms in the area too. So it is a very slow drive down south. But we've got a very slow drive everywhere. Eastbound to seventy is backed up all the way from I twenty five down to I seventy because of a wreck on the ramp there. Eastbound I seventy six up near eighty five where you turn up to go to Henderson and Brighton got an accident there. Anyway. Very busy drive downtown your CBS, four weather, still showers and thundershowers tonight and tomorrow, thirty eight overnight. So the weather is not going to really cooperate with us and reports of fog now on ninety three between golden and boulder self very heavy traffic.

"Were nine news did a story tonight with their attorneys, and they believe that errands, constitutional rights were violated absolute. And because I now have standing because I did sign in. And I was told I cannot speak. We probably will be moving forward with a lawsuit against the board because it is not. I mean, there's so. Wrapped up in this. Right. We we have a teacher who is offensively going after kids and dachshund them. So that all of the other wack job leftist in the world can attack this kid simply because he's pro-life. He was out a pro-life March. He wore a make America great hat and he smiled at a radical leftist activists who was beating drama space. But are you aware that her original Duxing was no not for that kid? She actually docs, somebody the laws and even there. But Michael, I don't know if you've been following this afternoon, but she sent an apology to the kid and to the father through nine news to the kid not here, the Daf nine news. And let me tell you. Let me read it real quick. She says, I feel horrible. I feel horrible about having made a public appeal. Not having made a. Public apology sooner. I have not been able to make statements of comment on the matter. But I need for you to know how I am about what happened as an educator. I care deeply for children and would never want to cause them harm. She would never want to cause a child harm. But she has doc seeing a kid whether it's the right kid or the wrong kid is irrelevant. She was dachshund a kid simply because they're pro-life and they're wearing a make America. Great hatch. So that all of the radical leftists like her around the country who are religious bigotry against Catholics in Christian can destroy this kid. And then she has the gall to come out in a an apology that I'm sure the union attorneys wrote for her and says, I would never want to cause them harm. What a bunch of crap is that it's a total bunch of crap because of the very nature of dachshund in and of itself is designed to be dangerous harmful. That's right. That's right. So when you say that the constituents, and there are a lot of taxpayers and other people in Douglas county that are upset. How do you gauge that? Well, I have done a lot of radio and television interviews over the last forty eight hours, and the the number of responses that I am getting on Facebook and on Email and phone calls is through the roof, and the the the the constituent in Douglas county for whom I represented for thirteen years and the Colorado legislature. They know how to get a hold of me. They are outrage they are up in arms over this. And and and it was it was enough to be outraged over this teacher who was out of control, and and espousing religious bigotry and she's teaching in our classrooms. But then you have the board of directors for the school board denying constituents residents. Their ability to express their thoughts on this very very important. And and. Toxic matter that is before our community. This lady does not represent Douglas county who abused do not represent most teachers in Douglas county. My my wife is a teacher yet. We are not allowed to go to the board meeting express our sauce on this issue. That is outrageous. They are denying us the residents of Douglas county, our constitutional rights to have our grievances heard to our elected officials on the school board. And that I mean, those two things combined is what is so infuriating itself. Outrageous. I think that's why I have whiplash is because I was upset with the teacher. And and that's kind of been over the past couple of days. That's kind of been my beef is. And again, the lawyer in me is like a mad at this teacher. I think what she did was wrong. I actually think she should be terminated. Because I I can't imagine that under the terms of either a collective bargaining agreement or individual contract, whatever that kind of behavior is acceptable in a in a by a person in a position of trust dealing with children. So so I was upset about that. But I was willing to actually give the Douglas county school district leeway to lease deal with the teacher. So I'm ranting and raving about the teacher thinking, okay? The the school board will do what is appropriate. And then I start I see the video of of Aaron being escorted out by law enforcement. And then I get the phone call from you and the I've got whiplash because now, and that's why I said earlier set aside for just a minute what this teacher did. And let's focus on the issue of what the school board did because we now have to separate. Indistinct issues, we got the teachers behavior, and now we have the school board's behavior. Yep. Holy cow. Unin conservative Douglas county. So let me make just make a comment and get your reaction to that. I had a couple of these conversations with friends and Douglas county, and I have tried to gauge is Douglas county for those listening. Elsewhere Douglas county is a suburban county south of Denver, and it was with the exception of El Paso county. Probably one of the if not the most conservative counties in the state of Colorado. So my my comment you Ted is I'm really beginning to question. Whether Douglas county is is still as conservative as what we thought it was once was well, it certainly has changed since I was first elected to the state house in two thousand and two. So yeah, things have changed a great deal. When you see that the the community elected, these these teachers union. Baggage carriers to to run our school district that that scares me that our community put these people in place, but certainly our board with this made some mistakes that led to this. I you look at Mike top and lost here in highlands ranch. I think the the Walker race was closer than anybody thought here in Douglas county wrote this is the county has changed. I think you're right Ted. I gotta take a break. But I appreciate you taking the time to to talk to us tonight. Stay in touch. Let me know. I mean, no what I can do to help the let's keep the fight going. You're great. Thanks have a great weekend..

"Me here. Talk show host Michael Brown. Now. Hackel show with Michael Brown on the radio on KOA NewsRadio. The big town everybody welcome to the show. Got a lot to do this evening. So let's try to get busy and get it all started before I go to forego talk to talk to somebody. You may have heard me last night on a little tirade about the Douglas county school board in my tirade was essentially this. They were requiring people which I get if you are a city council your school board. You're any sort of public entity. You you need to have. Because after all your you worked for the tax payers. I know it's difficult. That's a difficult concept for some people to get into their heads. But those people in school board city councils state, legislatures let legislate doors they worked for us. Not the other way around and my tirade was. The Douglas county school board had said specifically that you could not show up and talk about this teacher who have been caught seen a student that she thought was a part of the Covington high school Covington Kentucky, high school Catholic school that have been embroiled in this theory of media coverage she'd actually called out some some poor kid wasn't even there and had accused him of being a member of the Hitler youth. His father had asked this teacher to please take down the tweet. She refused to do it. She said some other kind of vile things, then she protected her tweets, and I understand now she has deleted her Twitter account, although I haven't gone onto check. But anyway, long story short the Douglas county school board meeting was last night. And as I say, if you're a city council or anything, you you you have an obligation to hear from your constituents. Let me repeat that you have an obligation to hear from your constituents. Now, I get that in the because if five thousand people show up that's hard to accommodate. So a lot of these organizations will have a sign in sheet, and you're limited to two or three minutes to speak your mind. And I while I disagree with that. I used to serve on the city council, and I can remember going well past midnight in order to give everybody a chance to say, whatever they needed to say because I thought that was our obligation. Apparently, the Douglas county school board doesn't believe in the United States constitution. And I woke up this morning to a story where apparently somebody had been removed Douglas county school teacher and union leader. There is out of the classroom, and she is off the union board after an online attack at a comington Catholic student then called clothing a included calling him Hitler youth. But when assistant tried to bring that up at tonight's board meeting the school board had him silenced and then escorted out by law enforcement. It goes on. But that's enough to know right there. The Douglas county school board had a taxpayer a citizen forcibly removed by law enforcement officers because this individual mentioned the teacher's name, Michelle Grissom, I think is her name. Let me just explain this. A school board. If there's a personnel matter can rightfully refuse to discuss that personnel matter in public. They can go into executive session and discuss it in executive session that does not help wherever preclude a citizen from talking about it or expressing their opinion about it. And it certainly isn't caused for having a taxpayer forcibly remove by law enforcement. So on the way back from a meeting today. I get an Email message from former state Senator Ted Harvey is on the line with me. Now who apparently went to that board meeting last night Senator Harvey? How are you, sir? I am great. Good evening. Thanks for having me on. You went to the board meeting. I did. Now, let me just add. I ended up I was gonna say. Let me let me play. Let me play lawyer cross examined you for a minute. Did you did you properly sign up? I did you properly signed up at three o'clock in the afternoon to the board meeting to know that you were going to speak, and I actually signed up before three o'clock the day before let them know what I wanted to talk about. Now, did you what did you list in terms of what you wanted to talk about? I said I wanted to talk about Michelle Grissom her and her inappropriate comments. I also wanted to talk about Kevin lung who sits on the board and his inappropriate comments. And I was contacted the next day the day of the board meeting, and I was told by the secretary of the board that the president of the Senate the president of the board. Right. It's not presidents that president of the board director Ray has decided that I my request to speak has been. Been denied because I am not allowed to talk about a personnel matter. And if I have an issue with director long that I can go talk to him individually. I okay, so help me understand this because. It is it is clearly a personnel matter. And so the school board. I think is within their right for them to say, we're not going to discuss it. But you just simply wanted to express your opinion about a personnel matter, and they didn't have to say word. That's right as a resident of Douglas county. I live five minutes away from this school where this teacher works. I paid taxes to the school district. I have a right during the school board's meeting to where they allow for public comment, and you can sign up like I did to speak during public comment. I have a constitutional right to say whatever I want to say. In fact, you could've you could told him you wanted to talk about the price of eggs in Denmark. If you wanted to directly, right? That's exactly right during the previous administration during the previous boards rule. They they did limit the time to. Two minutes that you were talking about something on the agenda in one minute. If you were talking about something that was not on the agenda, which I think is wrong to limit that they did. But you still were allowed to have your one minute to talk about something that was not on the agenda. What director Ray said last night was first you have to go talk to the teacher. And if you don't get the resolution you want then you can go to the principal and try to get the resolution, then you can go to the superintendent if you still have it resolved. And then only after that can you come to the board and be have the ability to have your brought before the emperor's up on the diet. Okay. Now, you've now you've really got my blood pressure boiling, Ted hold on a second. So they did they say is this something they said publicly, or they, you know, so they're saying that so they through I mean, let's set aside for a minute, whether you, and I think what this teacher did was right or wrong. Let's just. Put that on the table. It's we have no opinion about whether what she did was right or wrong. They're saying that if you have an issue with what a teacher did at the taxpayer as a taxpayer. I don't have a student in her class that you have to go to hurry. They want you to go confront her as opposed to confronting the principal or the superintendent or ultimately them they want. The more. I can approach my elected officials by whom we elected to represent buy in which I would add employs her. She's an employee of the district. So they're saying that they want the public to go approaching employee of the district before you can talk to anybody else. Before I can bow down. For them. Okay. So when you talked by telephone earlier, this is even worse than I expected. Did you did you actually go last night Roach? I couldn't approach the diet the podium to talk about Kevin long and his outrageous tweet that he put up that day. I think I know the answer to this question because I think I know you well enough. Did you try did you try to stand up and speak? Did you do or did you just well, I waited until Aaron Johnson who you saw saw that video on nine news. And after Brad Juan spoke, and then that director Ray who who ran the meeting immediately went onto the agenda, and I raised my hand and stood up. And I said excuse me I signed up yesterday. I know that I should have the ability to speak. Why are you not allowing me to speak, and he continued on and totally ignored me. Talk. Over me continued on with the agenda and went on with the business despite my being there me signing up. And after that there was nothing we could do they had already moved on beyond public testimony. Actually, I'm surprised that they didn't have you escorted out of the building for standing up already achieved our objective by having him escort Aaron out. There was. Nothing could be better than the footage that you saw. I can't first of all I gotta say this. As a staunch supporter of law enforcement. I am the poll that law enforcement would engage in that kind of behavior. Because what I saw in again, I wasn't there. But what I saw on the video this gentleman. Did nothing wrong. He wasn't. He wasn't disruptive. Excuse me. He didn't try to physically attack. Anybody? He was just standing at the podium and low of mention the name that shall not be mentioned, which I I am so irritated at this board. And I'm I'm quite frankly, here -tated was this were these Douglas county sheriff deputies over these off duty sheriff's off there were there and paid for by the board by the school district to me that's immaterial with her on the off duty whether they're paid by the board. They are still Douglas county deputy sheriffs, and I think they also engaged in unconstitutional illegal behavior because there as far as I can tell there was not a crime. Mm committed. There was not any sort of violation committed by what this gentleman did by simply I assume he signed him because obviously he was allowed to stand up and say something he filled out the form just like I did prior to three o'clock that day, and he filled out the form to speak on something that was on the agenda. Otherwise, if you weren't speaking about something that was on the agenda you were not allowed to speak. But the minute he mentioned Michelle Grissom's name. That's not be spoken. Yes. That's when law enforcement escorted him from the building. That's when his mic was cut off. He continued to speak over the Mike and. Director Ray called the security to come and escort him away from the podium and out the door. So Ted what what what are the next steps? Just as once the taxpayer in Douglas county and just as a lawyer. I m I can't tell you how fuming mad. I am about this. As m I as is a huge number of the residents are Douglas county constituents of these directors, and and of the teacher, I will be I've been in contact with attorney constitutional attorneys to have them review the district's rules to determine whether my constitutional rights were violated and everybody agrees that they.

"Time when thirty seven coming up at two o'clock. I've got a man named Richard Gere Donohoe who's written a book about the fraud of teacher evaluations in the public school system. Fascinating stuff. So it might be a little education heavy today. The Douglas county school board meeting last night decided to censor parents who had the nerve to want to talk about the horrific social media account of a middle school teacher in highlands ranch. And when one gentleman mentioned the teacher's last name by saying, MS Grissom, he was escorted from the property by a sheriff's deputy. So I thought it would be a good idea based on the activities of the school board from now on you cannot mention any names when you call in on the show. There will be no name mentioning. So if you wanna talk about something you're going to have to just you're going to have to censor yourself. There's no mentioning of note any names from now on I feel like that's fair. Ironically, Kyle Clark went back and looked at old school board meetings. And there were multiple occasions where parents specifically mentioned members of the Douglas county school systems names by name, and they were not escorted out by sheriff's deputies. That is so weird. Y'all know consistency is important to me. Now there are some rumors right now. And I don't know how accurate they are. But I do know that there are multiple people working for multiple angles to secure the proper information, and I will post it all on the blog for you want to get it. But the mill Levy override was sold to Douglas county parents included as being absolutely critical for making sure the teachers get raises at what we're hearing. Now is that neighborhood schoolteachers are getting raise of two point seven seven percent. Whereas assistant principals are getting a fourteen percent raise. That's not what I voted for. No offense to assistant principals, but we've got so much administration. It's not even funny. And I wanted that money to go to teachers in the classroom. Now, my kids in a charter schools to charter schools are going to do their own thing. And I'm fine with that. But I don't trust this board. I didn't trust him when I voted for it. And I should have listened to all of you said Mandy don't fall for it. Mandy, don't fall for it. It's Lucy with the football. Don't do it. But I want my teachers to have raises. I think the teachers Douglas county are outstanding regardless of where they teach except this woman who obviously needs David. I think that's what we should recommend for her reeducation-camp. Isn't that what always happens when conservatives cross some imaginary line, and then they say, well, they're going to need some kind of sensitivity training sounds like miss Chris needs some sensitivity training where she should have to sit. And listen to people like me, tell stories about nasty people have been to me over the years because of my political beliefs and those people share her political beliefs. She needs to be educated about the fact that bullying is bullying I'd really love to hear from her about what her thoughts were when she decided to post the name of a young man the wrong young man, by the way. On the internet. We're no crazy. People are on the internet. Everyone on the internet is sane and rational as people on Twitter were calling for somebody to go punch these kids in the face. She outed him part of me if I was really passive aggressive. Good on the internet would find out where she lived and poster information, but I'm not that evil, and I don't have those skills, and I really don't think it's right to do that to anyone regardless of how awful I think they are. I really don't I think that's a terrible thing to do. And here in Denver where we have Alan Berg stories still in our memories where the guy was shot in his own driveway. That happens people it happens. We don't need to be given out people's names and information on the internet. We just don't. And if you do that, you're horrible person. I'm just going to say that as tempting as it may be to be awful. I just cannot get behind that. I think about the outcome. I think about the possible ramifications for that she of course, did not so re education should be good for her. It will be fantastic. But Mark my words. This board lied to the voters in my mind when they ran on a platform of community togetherness and transparency they lied about wanting to work with the community. They lied so far. We don't know. I don't have proof yet. But when I do you'll get it about where the money was going to go. And I am not happy. And when I'm not happy, it's a bad bad position a bad position. Because now if there's perhaps a recall needs to be started, perhaps, I don't know. I wonder how many Douglas county parents who voted for the Middle East the override thinking it was going to go right into the classroom to shore up the paychecks of their teachers when they find out that that's not what's happening. What do they do that? I don't know. We'll continue to have this conversation. Three zero three seven one three eighty five eighty five that's three zero three seven one three eighty five eighty five by the way, any member of the Douglas county school board is always welcome on this show. I issued the invitation, but formally through their communications people, I've issued it on the air. They don't wanna come on the show. Don, you're on KOA NewsRadio. And makes me wanna say. Aw, you when you mentioned the football thing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And what's on your mind? And you were not thrown into the briar patch you put into a burlap bag and the blackbirds threw rocks at yet. Old native American tale about the Coyote and the blackbirds. No, I was going with. With uncle Tom's, Ken, no prayer rabbit. That's uncle Tom's cabin. Right. Yeah. That's it. Yeah. It's perfect. But I think the native American tale about the Coyote, the blackbirds made more sense because the blackbirds being the Douglas county school board, basically tricked, you they tricked me. Oh, oh, I know. I know and as I was voting for it. I had trepidation. And yet I did it anyway. They were going to give you shelter from the storm. But they didn't. I mean, they threw rocks. You came out of it. The sun was was beating down and all the all you realize is that these blackbirds just threw rocks at you. And you know, and that's that's just your public education system in general. I mean, you know. It is a workplace meant program for the adults. And the kids are just they're ponds. I hate to say that. But it's increasingly feeling that way. I'm getting to the point where I'm just saying, you know, if you can pull your children out of out of the school system, and let it collapse. I mean, we need to promote homeschooling and certain private education that which parents have more control, especially if you want to indoctrinate them with a good world view, especially if you call yourself a Christian. Well, here's the thing. I happen to know that we have some great schools in Douglas county. We have phenomenal teachers. I am not says. Well, no. But but here's the thing. I one of those parents that truly believes that choice is the answer. And for a lot of kids neighborhood, schools, work fantastically. I don't want to shut down the neighborhood school system. I want to shut down a system that marginalize his parents who have the nerve to be upset that a teacher has a Twitter feed. It is absolutely horrible and calls Christians at evangelical and Catholic. Every name in the book, and that's gotta stop, and that's all they want. But that's never going to stop because the public education system is basically an indoctrination no ground for those with the progressive worldview with all these big a ACS trying to cleanse our culture of any mention of the Christian faith in the public square. You know, what do you expect that that's best part of their goal? I mean, I'm convinced now that the freedom from religion foundation. The only reason why they came to existence is to make this world more acceptable of abortion because that was their first 'cause before they founded that organization. Well, I hope you're wrong about that. Although I will say that I have like I said got less and less hopeful, Steve, you're on KOA NewsRadio. So far. My daughter had teacher. Oh, I'm sorry. There's Steve no names. We're not allowing any names on the show today because that's how I learned from the Douglas county school board. No names. So. Just call Steve's. She had the teacher who shall not be named. Okay. So that. Yeah. My daughter thinks highly of her. This story. And I haven't finished my daughter about it. At that point. I didn't have all the facts. But. Yeah. Looking at her tweets awful. Tony disrespectful. Four thirty. My first job was working the elementary school. I have great respect features. I just have a real hard time with the. The new board in the wording of the levees. And they'll levies were not limited to that was a clear indication for the well, I just got an Email from someone who said we just found out that even though school security was part of that ballot question there is zero dollars set aside for school security zero sitted never voted this people in the conservative board members were much better. Yeah. Yeah. I agree. But you know, what happened Steve they kicked out the union. So the moment they kicked out the union the union started sending people to every single board meeting to create chaos to foment anger in the community. Tell parents things were horrible. And nothing was right. So parents couldn't wait to get that bored out of office not knowing that they were being duped by a long term strategy plan by the union that was hatched way out of Douglas county. It was had so far above Douglas county because they know that if Douglas county kicks out the union other districts might get the idea this is so much bigger than Douglas county. And it's. Disgusting. And now here we are. So there you go. I appreciate that. Stephen. I you know, I we'll see what happens with she who shall not be named. I appreciate that Merle. You're on KOA NewsRadio. Hey, mandy. How are you? I love your show just to say that first time caller, and I am a dilute townie parents I have a fifth grader in south rock. And you know, I also wanted to Douglas county students about nineteen years ago. And I brought my family back down to Castro because I thought that you know, it was a great school back then and we had good community conservative leadership in the school. I really had no idea, and I started establishing ourselves back down in the cash rock area that. The school board went, you know, more on the liberal side of things. Yup. So more and more as I see this happening anything happening. It's just really not only is it really upsetting. But it's you know, I what do I do? Now. I'm I'm committed. So it's one of those things that you, you know, the bait and switch and you fill it. And I did vote for that. And I do feel do I on know our teachers need to get paid our principals down. They get paid. Well. Yup. I also need to get paid. Well, and when did the Douglas county sheriff department become the security force for censorship or Douglas county schools in defense this sheriff's deputy, they I think they contract for those meetings. And again, I don't have a problem with having security at a school board meeting because people act like jerks, I'd like to have someone there that can say, look, you know, if you're getting out of hand, you can leave and he was merely enforcing the boards wishes. Let's be clear about that. He was only enforcing what the board wanted him to do. And he was very kind about it. And he said, I really don't want her arrest you tonight. So let's go and Aaron Johnson walked out. But did they only doing what the board asked him to do? That's it. Sure. So. Security. Yeah. You need that security there. That's fully understand. You got to see some of the old school board meetings that happened under the conservative board where the union sent agitators in every single time that would just stand and scream during the meeting and not let anything get done because they were out of control. That's why people voted for this board because they thought this board would fix it not realizing that this board where the same people that were behind that stuff. Absolutely. And you, and you you said, I couldn't agree more. This is so much bigger than the Douglas county school board issue generally tied to the teacher liberal scorch trying to take over anything and everything that has conservative logic or Christian thinking, Andy, no problem. I appreciate it. Man. Bill, you're on KOA NewsRadio. Oh, Mandy Bill. Well, thank you. A violation of the first amendment. Right. That's what that qualify for government. Government. Can't I the first amendment only covers if the federal government stifles your right to free speech. So there are some. Yeah. It's got to be the federal government that ultimately is congress shall pass. No law abridging, the speech of any person. So it is only the federal government that can truly incur a first amendment violation. Understood by mistake. Disappointing though, isn't it? Absolutely disappointing. I appreciate it. Apple. Yeah. Thank you. Gene. You're on KOA NewsRadio. Oh, thank you. I just had not heard about the Douglas county issue last night. It was the board and didn't know about the whole issue with miss Grissom. So thank you for bringing it up. You. Cina you cannot say her name you just have to call her. She who shall not be named heard God. Yeah. Go ahead. Try again that she out children and can't we have to protect her. But whatever anyways she's a phenomenal teacher one of my daughter's favorite when she was in her class. I was shocked to hear all this. And we are Uber conservative in. She never expressed any of that bias to my daughter..

"Show with Michael Brown here on the radio on KOA NewsRadio. May or may not be aware teachers in Los Angeles apparently going on strike and teachers in Denver are going going on strike. Agent. Jedday, synthesis. Email this morning, according to the summary put out by the state of Colorado. The Denver city school district employs fifteen thousand six hundred thirty one people. How many of the fifteen thousand six hundred thirty one people employed by the Denver city school district. Do you think are teachers I mean come on this before we jumped into conclusions? Let's be serious now. What's the purpose of a school district? I mean, besides indoctrination. Set aside indoctrination for a moment. To babysit. House feed, and I suppose in some instances clove Rugrats. Right. So who needs thinking teachers, why why why even have teachers? Well. Versus school district proves my point. Fifteen thousand six hundred thirty one people are employed by the school district. But only six thousand three hundred fourteen of them are teachers. I didn't do the math but agent Jedrzej dead. And he says that's forty percent. So less than half less than half of the people employed. But the Denver school district are actually teaching. He gets that from the Colorado department of education website. Can you think he asks can you think of any other private industry that has not gone bankrupt? We're the ratio of overhead employees to workers is sixty forty or one point five overhead employees for every worker that actually produces that actually does what they're supposed to provide the service or the product that the company is producing or providing. Holy moly. If you want to know. What is wrong with public education? I submit your honor these statistics. Let me repeat it. I want you to go to bed tonight thinking about this. I want you to cover all cuddly and warm in your bed. Then I want you to think. I'm a taxpayer. It doesn't make any difference with you have kids in school or not. Your taxes? Go to help pay for that. Fifteen thousand six hundred and thirty one people of which only six thousand three hundred and fourteen or actually in the classroom teaching now, I don't know whether those six thousand three hundred and fourteen includes. Like para professionals or counselors, but he respective whether it does or not. Only forty percent are teachers. I'd say. Turnaround expert or anything. But I did sleep at a holiday him last night. And I would say that if you want to figure out a way to cut costs cut your damn overhead. Oh, speaking of over overhead. I mentioned yesterday about the Douglas county school district teacher, Michelle or Michelle Chris Griffin. She had deleted her Twitter account after doc seeing a kid Duxing is deal. I n g. Not in the mood to explain it again, go look it up she docs to kid. Someone who is not even in Washington DC doesn't even go to that high school. She tweeted out a picture of him and said he was a member of the lower youth. The Douglas county school district is meeting. I think as we speak. The Douglas county school district. Apparently you have to sign up if you would like to speak. Which makes sense. You don't want to Bob, and you wanna know? Okay. So we've got we have forty five people or four hundred fifty people that want to speak at the school board meeting. So let's have them sign up. And then we can be methodically going through the list of names, and you know, okay? So Billy, Bob, you signed up first your first, and and then, you know, calamity, Jane, you signed up second Angie signed up and that will Michael Brown signed up. Except they also wanna know what you want to talk about. They want your subject matter. And if you're subject matter is that teacher, Michelle, Grissom, they have said, no, you can't talk about that. Now, the last I checked I may be totally wrong about this. But the last I checked the Douglas county school district is exactly that it is a. School district which is a governmental entity, which is paid for by the tax payers. Not just the Douglas county. Everybody listening anywhere else in Colorado, you pay into the general fund in the general fund in the Colorado legislature also goes to help support that district along with all those. Unnecessary people in the Denver school district. They're censoring people. If I want to stand up in a school board meeting, and I want to bitch about the jello school served in the school cafeteria. You can't censor me. And if you think you can. I got a lawyer. I'd like you to meet. Damn I wish you know. I should just pack up and drive down there right now. Just bar. Jim. I can make a scene. "You got for me. Anybody? So my my commute commute store is going to be real quick. I quit my job in Denver at three diehard. Our pay-cut with the company for seven years commuted and traveling for four those and I decided enough's enough, but the big common I wanna make is James said made a cheesecake he may. You may Dave's cheesecake was it. Amazing. I followed it to the letter, and is my neighbors and my kid everybody had the same thing. They're like that is the best cheesecake had. Of course, it is. It's the date lower recipe. Yeah. And it's going to my family cookbook forever. But what really impressed me was. I'd never had cheesecake fresh out of the oven. Oh, ever. So after the cool down period it out, I took a bite, and that was just a just blew my mind how fluffy, and of course, the next day. It was just ridiculous good. But that was the coolest thing, and he took a lot. I love to cook. So I knew better than to try to mess with that recipe. Now John out there has got that recipe. And you haven't cooked yet. Follow it to the letter. What did you did you? Did you get this? We back or did you use use animal crackers? I use the animal crackers in that cross was made the I think the animal cracker crust is perfect because it it. It's not overly. Sweet. It's just a nice foundation for the cheesecake. I really think that makes it came out. Perfect. Awesome. Dave, you're spreading joy one cheesecake in a time. I'm telling you what it's pretty dang good. Good one cheese. I appreciate it. You know? It's funny. I've gotten several calls on people who have made the, you know, all. They're all positive, and I feel you know, originally, I was should I give it out. Should I not give it out? I'm so glad I gave it out. I feel I I don't know. I'm not proprietary about anything. As a matter of fact, Patty emailed me the other day and said, I need your chicken paprika recipes. So I said to her I want to spread joy, I need to be the only one that makes something it's really nice to know. All these people are enjoying it. Exactly. Because you can't make cheesecake for everybody. Just for me. Asian and Chuck sometimes and my daughter and your daughter just a there's like a handful of us. They actually get the original Dave cheesecake, and then the rest of you can just deal with the fake invitations. It's fine. I wanna make a comment real quick tonight is a Douglas county school board meeting, and we talked a little bit about teacher Michelle Grissom yesterday and her vile Twitter feed. She's now been suspended. I'm sure with pay. But apparently parents because now the school board after Preregister what you want to talk about if you wanna go and make a comment so parents registered that they wanted to talk about this issue, and the school board is calling them saying they are not allowed to talk about this part of it is because David Lang jumped on as well. Lou. I can't remember Ameri Lemieux jumped on as well and people want to talk about it. But now the school board is censoring. What people can talk about it the school board. Meaning nothing says transparency more like you can't talk about that in a meeting. Not disappointing. Excuse me. Not surprising, but disappointed nonetheless. So I'll watch that meeting tonight. See how it goes great fantastic. Because the only thing I want to say about that enclosing as if they are all about censorship. Perhaps. They should censor. The Twitter feeds of their Catholic hating teachers who say things like that evangelical Christians are the worst thing ever. Our educational system is a disaster. Thank God for charter schools. That's all I can say. Now, it's time for the most exciting segment on the radio guy. Of that day. Is not here. But rob has come back for more. Now, I saw you tweet out yesterday. Mr man. This is what rob sends out.

"Who chaperone the Covington trip told. W k or see that their students were targeted from the get-go and subjected to lewd insults that one mother said she just found horrible to watch. So here are the black Hebrews. I'm sorry. The Hebrew the black Hebrew Israelites hurtling homophobic insults at these teenagers. And then the native American ostensibly, I don't buy it. But I'll stint sought to interpose himself between the two groups. But the Vietnam veterans grow directly up to San man, continued banging traditional animal skin drum just inches from the students knows I never interacted with this protester, the students said I didn't speak to him. I did not make any hand gestures. I didn't make any aggressive moves to be honest. I was startled and confused as to why he had approached me. We're out of control. We are freaking out of control. I don't know how many people have had to apologize. Now. We apparently have a teacher down in the Douglas county school district. What's her name? Hang on to find. There's apparently a thing. Thing on Douglas. The school. You're okay. What's this teacher's name? Hang on hang on Michelle Grissom who apparently teaches at the middle school. Who in a tweet that you now can't see because she decided to protect her tweets. In other words, she's locked her account down. So that nobody can see it. Referred to. This man as a Hitler youth. The problem is you've heard of Duxing duck scene. Where is where you? Actually, call out someone who may be in the public arena, and you give out their phone number their address in hopes that somehow you can cause them trouble. Or you make a fake nine one one call this is the worst kind of Duxing you fake a nine one one calling. You say, hey, this is this is so and so and and my husband's got my children like gun point. It's all fake until the swat team shows up bangs Dorf front Dorian to completely unsuspecting couple and somebody's gonna get killed. Doc, saying, well, it turns out that this teacher in the Douglas county school district out of the young man. Not the young man in the video. So that the father of this man, Dr Jackson who is apparently in OB doctor said, hey, would you please take down the picture of my son? He was not at this rally. He was not even there yet this teacher in the Douglas county school district. Pins him not even there as a Hitler youth. Oh. And by the way. Yeah. She teaches at mountain ridge middle school. Michelle grissom. And then she gets you into an online argument with the victims, dad. Now, remember the kid that this middle school teacher has now doc st- had nothing to do with the native American or the black Hebrew Israelites or the Covington Catholic kit. This is some innocent kid somewhere else has nothing to do. But she thinks it looks like they look awfully alike. Why tell me they tell me that the resemblance isn't this yearly the same maybe early the same. Because once we got the wrong person. This is the insanity. The other insanity that we now live in. I rarely rarely. Not even sure I'm going to do it. Now, I rarely call for anybody to be fired. But when a teacher. A middle school teacher viciously dachshunds another student that has nothing to do with this. The Douglas county.
