It's as a result of the failure of this administration President Trump in particular to lead this nation and to heal the divide and breach. And the fact is is that there are millions of individuals who are unemployed. Right now, right now is a result of this covert 19 and again no leadership from the top. It's important that individuals understand that this president is doing nothing more than saber rattling, rattling to his base, using words and phrases. "App. Question for today. What is your reaction to Mayor Handcock put in the city and county of Denver at a safer at home level three like it hated or I am on the fence about it. And Kaylie, Colorado on 20 can also our text line and five at 6690. Um, let's see here. From the 303 71 70 says. I want to go to the gym. He says. People need to grow up and do what we've got to do. It will hit Douglas County next buckle up. What does that mean? What does that mean? People has got people have to do what they have to do. It's going to hit Douglas County. Next is why I think that that was a red heart, too. Aren't everything and just go live your life. Now. I think that's in reference to what Coop said that Douglas counties on a Ah Safer at home level one. Which basically is You know, not a lot of restrictions there. Not a lot of restrictions from the 303. 38 58 upset Total B s Um Upset. Total B s. Oh, you mean to me? What is the when you gotta pull young Alfred? Did you hear what the poll question was? It's like it hate it or I'm on the fence. So That was 77. They thought it was total B s. They don't like it. They don't like it. But you understand why it was done because the increase in Covad cases. I don't know. I think the question is vague like they always are. Vancouver doesn't Let me start the pot a little bit. Cause I voted hated for one aspect under the guidelines. I've talked to Nicole. People hear about here about this. When it comes to the restaurants and bars. When the decision has kind of taken out of their hands when you know, maybe if they had the opportunity, maybe up to this point, they've been enforcing some really good, really strict guidelines. For any patrons that come into their restaurant or bar. Where now the decision's kind of taken out of their hands. They you know, they're told you don't get the opportunity to provide those guidelines. Don't get the opportunity to provide those guidelines and now you're forced to either close of your bar or the restaurant. You go down to such low capacity. That's going to be kind of tough to get by. Do you guys think that that's fair to those restaurants bars to get the decision taken out of their hands and decision making ability out of their hands to have very good, strict guidelines because I think the city and county Could have the personnel either now or hire him and say, I'm going to put you out to the restaurants and bars and you guys go make sure these guys are being enforced. Now it's just a blank a blanket decision. You don't get to choose your clothes, or you get only this much capacity is that fair? I just part of the way that it works. When you're you're dealing with something that's AH global pandemic. It's it's worrying about everybody. And you know, unfortunately, I mean, Alfred, Where was the last time you went and hung out at a bar? Oh, my god we owe but that was before the pandemic. My absolute maybe only heir in Nashville, February February wearing national probably No. You know what? That was the last time you know what you are right? So no, no, no, no, no, no. Yeah, You're right. It was Nashville. What was that? February 21st something like that. If I'm like that, So No, I'm not. I'm not like I say, I'm We have a family that we're caring for. Ah, some older, untold generations, So we want to do what's right by them, and they're doing what's right by not going out into grocery stores and Doing all of those things so You know what would taking care of them? And they are taking care of themselves. It's ah, it's ah community thing. So therefore I can't do the things that I used to do. Curtis is listening to us in Denver. Curtis you're up next Big Alan Jo Jo on K away news radio. Hi. Can you guys hear me? Absolutely. Yep. Okay. I'm sorry. I'm trying to keep my Conversation short and clear. I get too emotional. This is making me pretty emotional, but I hate the policy, I guess. Start off. Um And if I could try to be a CZ, um Clear as possible. The The death toll and morbidity from covert 19 pandemic is this extends far beyond virus victims. And you know these quotes I'm going to read you. Brief little numbers are data pulled from the Wall Street Journal article that I read trying to get just facts and research data out there. They're saying that Alzheimer's disease. Death. It'll heart attacks, Federal data show in 2020 has exceeded those in previous years and his other categories. As well. Those are the two I doted. Cancer. Um, uh, mammograms, colorectal and cervical cancer screenings. From UnitedHealth Ah national insurance company, they thought they'd seen nearly a million fewer mammograms, colorectal and cervical cancer screenings in 2020. And people are. Unfortunately, it's uh, you know, that's a tragedy. And that's because people are going to the hospitals to get that stuff done because they can't write and they can't. They couldn't they can now they're fearful of of the virus itself. Um You know, I understand the nurse in what she was saying about chronic illness with no one knows what this could do. No, there's mental illness is going to be chronic for for Decades for people with this. Oh desire up suicides. I sadly no of six people since April who have committed suicide. And and So I I'm just worried that the The cure is worse than the disease. We don't hear about that The number of cases going up is unfortunate. Um, the World Health organization just last week or two weeks ago, said the 50 million cases worldwide that we're aware of. It's probably closer to 800 million. And that's 10% of the world population. Um not a good thing, necessarily. But, um, this is a virus that is ubiquitous. It's not going away, and, um, we do have better therapeutics. The last number want to give you is out of New York. Um They're saying that hospital data drawn from the GNU Land on health system from March through August shows. Eh? 70% drop. In hospital is hospitalized patient death rate, not the number of people who are hospitalized of those who have been hospitalized, a 70% drop in those who are not making it. It's dropped from a 25% rate march, 7.6 in August. We know how to treat this better. We need to let people Fine. Eh? You know, a better approach to health care and individual Well being. I just think this is terrible. And I don't know what more to say. I'm thank you for your time, Curtis. Thanks for for calling the show and ubiquitous, by the way is the word of the day. I think we can be sure that those discussions will intensify this off season too late, of course, for the saints and a possible trip to the Super Bowl for them. Senior bowl week is underway. Diane Tremblay on a message from the school, and please respect their respective. No media on school property today. Please this case remains a team effort from the beginning. And I'll never be able to think all the agencies and businesses individuals that help on this case with their singular focus to bring Jamie home yesterday. There was a lot of confusion with an Iranian social media post about thirty four thirty PM in Walworth county. This was an incident in Walworth county. But in no way had connection to this case as reported on Facebook. Shortly after I posted that Jamie was not involved in the war county incident. My detectives were alerted a nine one one call out being given out in Douglas county. Responding to a person claiming they had phoned, Jamie. I'm now going to bring up sheriff, Tom doll Beck. The Douglas county sheriff he'll address this part of the the incident sheriff, thanks Chris. My agency received a nine one one call about four thirty yesterday afternoon from the individual who was walking her dog. Said she was approached by a young female claiming to be Jamie Kloss, this lady immediately went to a nearby house notified that neighbor of the claim and this neighbor called nine one one and Mike. Yep. Yep. He's responded en masse immediately and identify Jamie as the person that approached the neighbor took control of her and possession of her put her in safe-keeping and a short time later one of my patrol sergeants happened to find a vehicle that matched the description that Jamie gave my deputies of the suspect and pulled the vehicle over and took the suspect in custody at that time. Beyond that Jamie was taken to a local hospital up in Duluth superior area where she was. Looked over and examined and she was held overnight for observation and the suspect was interviewed and subsequently brought back down here to Barron county. That's all I have right now. Thank you sheriff doll Beck. And thank you deputies for the work that they helped in this case. The suspect arrested was arrested in is currently being held in the barren county jail. That's suspect is Jake Thomas. Patterson P A T T E R S O N. He is twenty one years old from Gordon, Wisconsin. He's currently being held on two counts of first degree intentional homicide for the murder of Jamie's parents and one count of kidnapping, Barron county district attorney Brian white. We'll give a brief comment next. Thank you. Thank you sheriff, Gerald, first of all I wanna thank everyone with law enforcement for the tremendous work. That they did to bring Jamie home that starts with sheriff FitzGerald and the Barron county sheriff's department. It includes the FBI the division of criminal will live update on the discovery of Jamie Kloss, thirteen years old and his constant. She was found alive yesterday after being held captive for three months. Her parents were found murdered back in October how brave determined and dedicated these men and women are. It has truly been an honor to see the work that they have performed as public servants to this community. It was only a few months ago that we as a community gathered to pray for Jamie's safe return at Barron highschool. Got his answered those prayers. The case will now be referred to the district attorney's office. Our office will review the reports and then make a charging decision. It is my intent to have a criminal complaint filed by next week. It is our job in prosecuting this case to obtain Justice for James Denise and Jamie, close we will do so. Thank you. Thank you. Dear right. This remains very active in fluid as we stand before you today, we have FBI DCI state patrol Douglas county. Investigators in Barron county detectives actively working seen conducting interviews so details will be sparse right now. We do plan at four PM media update with more details to be released at that time right here as you heard the charges of suspect. The suspect is being charged with kidnapping Jamie was taken against her will in escape from a residence at which she was being held in found help. We also do not believe that this time that the suspect had any contact with the family. We do believe Jamie was the only target. I can tell you that the subject planned his actions and took many proactive steps to hide his identity from law enforcement and the general public next. I want to invite some partners to take a few Cup to make a few comments. Again, these ages. Nsee step forward coming here never gave up hope and became part of our community. I can never thank them enough. I I'll bring up special agent in charge of the FBI, Justin tala male. Invent sheriff again, I am just a Tommy I'm the FBI special agent charge. The Milwaukee division, which covers all of Wisconsin. We are so pleased to stand here today with our fellow law enforcement partners to celebrate Jaime's recovery. It is an incredible day. As the sheriff said this case was challenging given the proactive steps the subject took to detection. In this case in cases, like this. We often need a big break was Jamie herself who gave us that break. We'd like.
