"He's a top ten tight end play. For us this week. He's got fifteen targets over his past two games. Who knows if Dougherty Nelson's going to play on Sunday? The only reason I mentioned Jordy Nelson. Is that like if you're in a super deep league like someone might make the case for Marcel eightman after four catches last week and potentially some more work on Sunday, but the raiders are largely fantasy irrelevant. The ravens though are more interesting. Joe flacco looks unlikely to play this weekend's to funding. Are we that far with his hip injury? Yeah. I just don't think we're going to say they haven't had to issue. A report yet. You know, the ravens tell us nothing. But I just don't get the sense, especially the Marge Ackson one talk into the media. I mean, there's just a feeling that besides John Harbaugh did say one thing he said it's going to be tough that was immediately after last week's game which says to me now that he's a little bit more confident and Lamar Jackson just after that. It was okay to let us know that it's going to be tough for flacco to get finding one last question about Joe flacco hip. Does it lie? No, okay. I know where you're going with that trying to think of some clever like other line from the song that I could use was just no hips. Don't lie. Yeah. I think that was the correct? According to Twitter, by the way, sixty five percent say hips don't lie that was the ultimate. Here's a huge fan of the oh, six Ono fact total. Shomar Jackson weirdly, more of a fan of you in Ivan's to find. I thought that was odd. The night when she comes ten this. Lamar Jackson is a top fifteen quarterback play for us on the ESPN dot com rankings. The raiders are allowing league high six point six yards per play. And we know Mark Jackson gonna get plenty of run with his legs as well. These really interesting compelling because of that flexibility. I don't know how much the offense will change this week for the ravens, but the low volume passing things seems to persist. So the question Matthew is is there any Raven's pass catcher that you can feel confident mean like we barely have Michael Crabtree. And John Brown and Willie Snead ranked bear Willie seat is the highest ranked amongst all those players, but. We feel sure that just because he got the most targets last week that he is the one Raven's pass catcher you want to start this week too. Yes suppose. So I think there's just there's this kind of higher floor here for Willie snood who's had at least seven targets and seven straight games. Had a forty four percent target chair. I mean, if forty four percent target share with Lamar Jackson and his first start in week eleven so I don't feel confident in any of these guys. I think they run all over to them. I think it's a lot of them are Jackson. I think it's a, you know, it's outs Collins and Gus Edwards. But it's. But yes, if I have to start a pass catcher, it's Willie Snead Crabtree and Brown could easily get into the end zone, but they don't profile as people that are going to get a significant targets here..

Jaguar, star, cornerback, Jalen Ramsey one of the most outspoken players in football right now, making headlines. Thanks to Meena times piece on ESPN dot com. Max, will you both loved his comments on all the quarterbacks? Now he is taking aim at rob gronkowski and the Cowboys saying, he doesn't think wrong is good in saying he will never play for the Cowboys with Jones in charge Super Bowl, champion, coach, Tony, Dungy had this to say on Twitter. I hope one of Jalen Ramsey coaches or teammates tells them that he is a player and not a broadcaster at this point in his career, he's a great player. He needs to concentrate on his job in Levy analysis of other players to the media with that being said, we welcome in our former star here, Jeff, Saturday NFL analysts the desk. So we'll start with you in this one. How are you feeling about Ramsey's comments now, originally and look, I still like disagree with Tony Dungy. I like a guy that's willing to go out and tell the truth. His mind back up. I don't mind any of that. And if he's accurate, I like it even more and the things he said about Rothlisberger and other quarterbacks actually were backed up by his play against those guys. The guys he had poor pains of it thrown picks Jalen Ramsey so he had some accurate opinions, but I feel this way today and it has nothing to do with what he said about the Cowboys. It has to do with these two moments right here. If you're gonna talk that way, you better have no holes in your game. And I don't just mean on the field max, I'm talking about, yeah, he's got to be able to cover whoever he goes up against. He's going to have to back up that talk with all the walk on the field, but he better not have any holes in his game off the field as well. And what I'm talking about is in his trash talk game in his analysis, walk into the field, be being analyst, give us your truth. But if I since that you're not telling the truth on anything, I'm going to start to question all of it and I'm gonna give you two examples. First of all your telling me gronk isn't great. Okay, either a your liar or be it questions if calls into question your entire judgment on everybody. Gronk is great by any definition. I don't care if you can throw up stats about how he's compared against Cornerbacks. I've only hear it. Gronk is great. So Jalen is the wrong. Relying on that one. The more importantly, where are young, Blake, Bortles Jalen we telling the truth about Blake Bortles. Is he one of the top quarterbacks? Is he a Super Bowl winning quarterback? You've talked trash on almost every quarterback and now you're, but whenever you're saying, ridiculous, whenever ridiculous whenever asked about Blake Bortles, does he tell the truth? This is years, of course not you're being, but he kinda. Did he let you know what he really. You yourself Lou. As an as as a true fan. Except for the few lies. I tell. No, none, no, except for the allies. You tell about your family. That's. No, he Jalen Ramsey I love Jalen Ramsey and it's not because I think everyone should talk loud in everything. I love athletes my favorite kind of athletes even Odell with his boat trip. Right? I thought, okay, Odell go out and ball now. You're right. Well, you're opening yourself up. Can't drop passes, which Odell did and I got on them for it, but my favorite kind of athlete is the one that puts himself out there and then comes through. So you're right. Jalen Ramsey is gonna come through now, but I don't like it because I think everyone should do it that way. I like it. It's the exception that proves the rule. It's hard to do it that way, but the ones who can do it are interesting Dennis Rodman I think of like David Wells in different sports and basketball in baseball guys who March to the beat of their own drummer and yet are great players in spite of the fact that they violate some tenants that that, you know, you need to be down and not cause a problem, and all that Jalen Ramsey is good to have holes in his game on and off the field because he's a human being. He is willing to accept clearly what's going to come from that. Because he's putting himself out there and we'll, of course he's going to lie about his own back in his own quarterbacks, not good looking. He's really doing Jeff Jeff headed to right now. Let me just say this look at who is going after. And of course gronk is great. He's still the best football and he's still begun. I'd pick over any tight end I've ever seen. He's the greatest of all time in my opinion. But I think what Jalen Ramsey is doing is going after two kinds of players. The ones who throw the ball and the ones who catch the ball on his team because that's always defending, I love this guy. You don't cover what happens at home. I mean, Jalen is no dummy, man. You don't cover your own guy late on another team. He'd have a completely except when I'm launching this is this is his covering his own home, protected his house. This is the one thing I would say about him. I don't mind. I literally don't mind it, and I agree with you. I think gronkowski's a fabulous football player. I mean, look man as a tight end. He can block. He can run routes. He's a mismatch for linebackers safeties even. Corners, no matter what Jalen says. So as you're looking at what he can do, is he a great tied in absolute. He's a great idea, but Ramsey does he speaks his mind and he does back it up and he has backed up and he continues about going against the best receivers in the game. He's not afraid. He's got no back down. And I would say this about the Tony Dungy county. And obviously I've played for Dungy forever. I respect. I respect him as a man. This this this conversation was had before the season he spoke. This isn't a Wednesday conference call these doing with all with all these reporters. This is before the season began. My only issue from teammate perspective will be, hey, man. If you don't gotta cover them, don't upset him because I may have to cover them. Right. So at least you're going to grow something on somebody doing the guy you're going to have to go cover because I may not be nearly as confident as you are. Right? That'd be the only my only whole the whole conversation. But what I like about what he what he's saying is not only is he going to bring his own game to a different level. He's actually forcing his teammates to bring their game. Two different level. This defense is nasty. He understands it. You look at the way they played last year. He wants that more and he believes would that bravado it pushes them all to a different level. I respect him have no problem. He did all of these report. He did all these conversations before the season started. If he was doing this every wind, Wednesday, I would agree with Dungy. Listen, this is a distraction. Get off the distraction. This is just because we're all talking about it. Now. He said it a while ago. It's getting put out now, so he's having to address it in his teammates are. But I guarantee you when he said it believes what he said, modest, Blake, Bortles. And again, I don't mind that either right there are a lot of mind in the locker room. I'm not gonna tell you every week this because all players have weaknesses, and I'm not going to tell you everyone of my quarterbacks malteds of lamb. I'm gonna tell you, they're all great. And so they go to a different team. That's the bottom line of every player. And that's not a you're not doing with James do, and you're not talking trash about everybody lead. The point is if you're gonna put yourself out there like this one has truth teller. He was a true tiller. Zepplin is line except when he's his own teammates has really would say these other people that you will say about ESPN employees, but I don't know. I'm not mainly about the people. Every this you would say the same thing about other people. It's in house, will you. Real quick what we'll says. He's a truth teller truth with lies. He's telling some truth, and then he's going at some player just to go. He's as taxed the ball because he got a cover them. Truth is do the baller. That's absolutely how you say there. I mean, you got to move on one guy though. That is not a fan of criticism. Washington's agent Peterson hall of Famer. Chris Carter was pretty candid. When speaking his mind about the Thirty-three-year-old in Peterson caught wind of it. Here's what Carter said on f s one did you see me in a dolphins uniform had no business playing that season wouldn't have admitted it either these guys get so sensitive everything. Adrian had better get himself. We were all great. But at the end we all smelled like a baby's diaper. All right. So Peterson, had this response to USA today watching some of the things that they said about me, man, I really hurt me to the core, not only are they black men, but these are people I looked up to, and these are people that made mistakes, especially Chris. Carter. So some of the things that came out of his mouth not only personally, but about me as clear, he's washed up and this and that and the other. And he should just retire. How dare you, Jeff is Peterson being too sensitive over comments from critics like Carter. This is difficult for me and I, I would say this, I think he's being sensitive to a point. I think that the tone the tact and the timing from corridor and sharp. It's headlines, right? They're looking for people to watch their show. So from a media perspective, that's what they're trying to do. They're trying to create that buzz when you're talking about one of the greatest running backs to ever play in our game and the things he's done. I think you let him go off whenever it's time for him to go off and if Washington decides he can't do it anymore and they and they pass on them. But I just think he was hurting more about the personal part of your washed up your this, your that as opposed to letting him kind of end up. However, it ends up and listen to a point there. Correct. Look, we all we as as as as we age if we get on our career, we're never as good as we once were everybody understands that. I think from his perspective, this is going to be a hall of fame running back. Everything's this guy has done is you allow him to move on, and we do that in a lot of other positions. And the truth is the wide receiver position as a whole. You can hide a whole lot more than you can at running back, right? You're going to be exposed at running back because people are going to get the ball a whole lot more. Often. It's going to look like. It's going to look the way a player can be evaluated much quicker at that position. And so from from Adrian Peterson perspective, I'm sure it bothered him because their relationships he's probably had with these guys leading up to this moment. Right? And and again, it's the media's job. I think the way you say things matters, and I think a guy like him at a player of his stature, and he's come through and how he has played football. I think you say, hey, look, maybe he didn't have any more, but let's let Washington the side as opposed to the attacks and kind of in more of a light hearted way. I would imagine they're attacking him, but it still hurts me. Listen, I don't care how far along in your career. Somebody says, you ain't got anymore. It bothers you and whether he has doesn't have, it's still does bother you to your core and at least he admitted that. The pure talent as a prospect, the potential, the actual production on the field which exceeded even the hype. He's one of the greatest who's ever done it. And I don't mean that like people wait for people, toss it around one of the ten or twenty five greatest one of the four or five. I mean, he is a among the very greatest to ever play the game. He came back from injury that ends most careers right back to being Adrian Peterson. His drive has mental focus has toughness, physical ability, his legacy or all beyond dispute. But I think and he takes the stuff personal, Adrian Peterson, and he uses it as fuel. I'm sure pretend to understand the psyche of one of the greatest athletes who's ever lived in any sport in the history of this country or world. I, he can. You know, I leave that alone, but he does take it personal when Chris Carter or me or anyone. So I don't think. Adrian Peterson's Adrian Peterson anymore. We're not talking about AD what she did that's beyond dispute. We're not talking about the kind of man you are or the kind of drive you have or the kind of art. You have all that stuff. That's that's nothing to do with this. We're simply talking about what we see now that said, and I think he's just being sensitive, but I think as being sensitive because he's that kind of competitor, he's a legend. These are the kind of things that made him this way internally. He takes things personally. Okay, I get it. Let me say this will as much as I think he's just a guy now. I think he'll get enough carries this year and I think he's shown flashes in spots where he can even be in the running for comeback player of the year this year. But I don't believe that he'll ever be Adrian Peterson again, and it's nothing personal and Chris corners of sure is not personal either. I'm gonna have to keep a running list of the things. I feel like you're contradicting yourself on today, come about player of the year, but also a Jag, just. By, but comeback player of the year. Got it. Well, by the ravens won like negatives, your raven, Harry tenders but Lamar's the tobacco. Okay. I'm just got a list here. Here's the thing. I'm generally look. I'm not a sensitive guy. I generally most people are way way too sensitive and Adrian took it to a point. Jeff, look even mentioned this word like to his core things. I don't know about just like hurting you to your core. You gotta get through a lot of layers of scan and then muscle and then ability in history to get to the core. And yeah, if you took it to your core Adrian, it's too sensitive, but I also get it to some degree. I mean, I don't know, maybe I'm Adrian Peterson defender, maybe I still see it. I think he's still got something. I don't think he's just going to be a guy, and I think stuff like this is the absolute and you said max fuel that could help Adrian Peterson along. I don't think he's washed. I think when Frank gore Russia's for whatever it was at age, thirty three, we'll guess what if Frank gore can do it? Adrian Peterson can do it as well. Is that a whole up? But will you're being slick now because lie to be in other words, he can be player. Just the guy starting running back in the NFL is valuable guy can put up some numbers. You can come back from much less than that. Is he ever going to be? Adrian Peterson was not the standard again, be the best running back in the league, even one of the best handful. That's not the same guy, but that's a ridiculous standard. Nobody's the God, they were yesterday, so they're better. They're worse, but that's what that's when you say wash, no, is not. When you say guys washed her guys trashed, it's not comparing him to his height. Nobody's saying, well, is he gonna run two thousand yards. Again, the question is this, I think Adrian, if he's being sensitive is only by a little bit. Okay. The core stuff, the racial stuff like the bottom line is I think he should be offended. I think you should use it to show guys like you. He's not washed. He's not just a guy, I think he should, and that's not sensitivity. That's bulletin board material. We see everywhere willing Luma adjusts. Good will adjust being just a guy is washed for Adrian Peterson for most running back prospects in the after. The first couple of picks that would be. Great career. I'm not saying he's terrible. He can't play in the NFL being just the guy being an Rb one on the low end or a high end Rb two, that's a good player. But by Adrian Peterson standards. When you talk about a baby's diaper, those things that's not if he gets thousand yard, he's still half the back. Did he was in his prime? That's that's an unheard of standard, right? I mean, the guy rushes for nine hundred yards, eight hundred thousand yards. If you tell me that's not an excellent career an excellent year and everybody would want that there's a ton of teams looking for that kind of thing to say. He's a baby's diaper, all that kind of stuff. That's where I'm saying, that's that's the standard that's ridiculous thing to try to to try to uphold by the way he did play thirteen games over the last two seasons. The opened up the season against his former team Arezzo, Jeff Saturday with insight. Thank you so much. Always enjoy it. Ricky always wanted to play baseball in the majors. He was playing catch before. We could walk practically lived in the batting cages. He was behind home plate more than he was home and one day after all that hard work. He found himself walking into a major league baseball stadium after buying tickets at the gate, a news bleed seed obscured by a pool, but he was in the new. Rickie never did in the big leagues, but he did switch his car insurance to gyco proud partner of major league baseball, which saved them a lot. So while in all things were good. Good morning. Everybody get your strategy with your sports right now. Update Colin Kaepernick has be in another defense. This time. It's the NFL's in the form of the league's request to throw out the quarterbacks claims that owners conspire to keep him out of the league in arbitrator did not dismiss those claims. Meaning capper Knicks grievance will go to trial well documented by now as you are all well aware. What started more than two seasons ago with capper, Nick, kneeling during the anthem might have an end in sight for his case, specifically ask for the NFL's new anthem policy now being amended jointly with the NFL PA for ESPN's. Dan Graziano. Both sides are encouraged. They can come to a mutually agreed upon policy. However, do not expect that policy or resolution by week one Beckford tape. Thank you Gary. So Colin Kaepernick since we'll go to trial and the NFL anthem solution is not expected to before the start of the season to over max is the. Anthony controversy. The new normal in the NFL. Yes, in the sense that it's never going to go back to the way it was, and that's roiling our politics now and sewing social divisions really in our country. The fact that there is a percentage of the population that wants things to go back to the way they were and another larger percent of the population. In fact that says, no, the way things were, I know, seem sentimental in sweet too many of you in good, but that's because many of us were on the margins. Many of us were subjugated and not treated with the full privilege that you were. And I think that that a lot of this impulse and I understand that I feel too as a consumer, it would be great if every things were back in the good old days, but the old days weren't good for everyone and we'll even the lyrics of the star spangled banner, which some have been omitted when we sing it. But there there is racism in the song itself. No refuge can hide this higher. Linger slave from the terror of fight flight or the gloom of the grave. In other words, the British were hiring Americans leaves the fight against of course because they were being enslaved. They had incentive to fight. And so right in the in the lyrics of the national anthem itself, which those we no longer sing references to a terrible past for many Americans and I and we'll, I'm with you. America has this amazing ability to change. So I choose to celebrate that and focus on that. But I don't insist that everyone focused on that and those who say, wait a minute, there still inequity, etc that we want. And I don't feel good about standing for this people. Those people and people like me, who would support their position aren't going anywhere. I think the toothpaste is out of the tube. You're not gonna be able to get it back in and just, hey, how did everything go back to the way it was because for many, the way it was wasn't so great. Even though as a symbol of unity in it's set. Era and and kind of ceremony. Many of us did feel good about about the NFL and the national anthem and the way that made us feel and wish at least part of us that it could go back to that, but I don't think it's going back. Okay. I wanna make a couple of points here. If I could. I on the cabernet, kiss you and it going onto trial that the arbitrator saw enough to move past summary, judgment. I think that's being written max today as though it's this massive win for capper, Nick and this massive loss for the NFL. It's not that way in lawsuits. Often some regiment motions are filed by the person seeking the suit to be dismissed. It's a suggestion, hey, there's not even enough here to go to trial. Just forget it. And the arbitrator said, no, no, there's enough to continue on to discover more evidence. There's enough that question here. They're going to proceed to a real trial. It happens summary, judgment motions, or filed all the time, and they are denied all the time when they're warded. I the bigger deal. In other words, not that when they're warded it's a really big deal. That's the point because they're right. But yeah, they're not often awarded. It really means the suit has no merit whatsoever. So. I mean, it says capper, Nick suit has some merit to move forward and now find out what's really up second as to whether or not the anthem. Controversy is the new normal. I think this is my prediction max, I think in the first week or two of this NFL season. So probably starting when we looking at a week and a half from now, we will have conversations. We'll have issues. We'll have cameras to focus on players who are doing something other than on the line or stay in the locker room. We will probably have these conversations in the early parts of this NFL season. It will appear to be once again, the controversy is relive it may even be that the president states chimes in and ratchets it up here for a couple of weeks. But the truth of the matter is I think as time goes on, it will recede into the background and that's not because the issues aren't important and it's not because NFL players don't care about the issues, but that because the mode in medium of the protests is no longer effectuation. The message in the change that they want. The point is this the NFL has very little do with these issue. And for that matter, much of the flag and the symbolism and the anthem that you point out and even the lyrics anthem have very little to do with the issues. So when you're protesting during a moment and in front of a symbol, that really doesn't have that much to do with the actual issues, you want changed, meaning the unarmed killing of black man by officers and the perceived lack of accountability or the alleged lack of accountability. By those officers, it's not directly tied enough to become a new normal max. It's not change. Can be affected over here out the protests over here. I appreciate what you're saying. I think the question becomes, will everyone participate in a ceremony or not? And I believe the answer would be no. The question then is not everyone will participate, and I don't believe that you can mandate that. In fact, if it's challenged in the courts because I don't think of all I say this every time I amendment rights don't extend to the workplace. In other words, you're free to say whatever you want doesn't mean you have to be employed. Where you're employed, if you say whatever you want, but I do think you're probably protected in the sense that you're ploy or can't say, hey, is a condition of your employment. You must parrot my political speech, which is what it would amount to. If you said you must stand for the ceremony. Now the question that so it's not everyone's participating. Is it still a media story? Do we still notice and talk about it? And will you brought it up? It depends how long Trump is in the White House. He clearly believes that this is a winner for him according to Jerry Jones when he pointed out, and if he does say something, how much attention do we pay too it do. We react to it. We cover it as a story. It's very different because he's the president, but lavar bowl, we stopped covering every single thing. He said because we decided he's an attention seeker and not everything is relevant and he sees and if the destroyed till lavar don't think dissipate. Braun lavar show. We'll see if he comes right hearing that, right, but that's my point. We'll, I don't think everyone will participate. I think Trump will continue. A point that out, and I think we'll continue to react to it. So I think for the time being it's the new normal. Alright. As you guys mentioned a story far from over where we are six days away from the regular season. Much love and you call it. Football season means the return of Stephen as friend, Tim Tibo and his weekly appearance on I take. We welcome in Tim. How are you? My friend, I'm doing great. How are you guys doing doing well, Tim ready for college? Football. Friend. Sorry. Sorry. Your friend couldn't be here today, but we are also your friend. We love you. It's our first matchup at. He's a show up. Right here. Scared. We got a lot of Greek games and we and wick week one which team Tim needs to be on upset alert already. Oh, I think it's Washington and Notre Dame, and to be honest, I think both of them are losing. I think, Auburn, beat Washington, and I think Michigan beats Notre Dame and I think both of them went pretty handedly. I think when you look at the Auburn, Washington matchup, the best quarterback on the field is Jared, sit them in the best defense is auburn's. And so I'm gonna trust, Auburn game, and then with Michigan Notre Dame. When's the last time that you could trust Notre Dame? It hasn't happened in my lifetime. So I'm going with Michigan. I think they've got the best defense in the country and they've got a young quarterback in shape Patterson that if he can mold himself into the offense, not play outside this game because he likes to do that. He did that at all, miss if he plays inside the scheme. But let's talent takeover. He could be very, very special. So I'm going Michigan as well. We'll mass. Can I do next. A little because here's the deal, Tim. I've gotta make my college football playoff picks. I'm going to do it this afternoon. We'll Keijo three to six eastern on ESPN radio ESPN news. I'm gonna do that man and plug, but this this weekend is huge. It has a massive impact and whatever I think think's going to happen at the end of the season. Right? The last four teams because the huge debate for me is I'm wondering about both the teams you discounted Notre Dame in Washington, look, man, washing Scott. A pretty good quarterback itself washing has got a pretty good defense. And when's the last time Michigan had a quarterback that import one just now from Mississippi. I'm not really convinced all of a sudden just because he's gone up to Michigan. He's going to be the winner this weekend, much less all season. So you're telling me right now when I'm making my picks right off Washington right off Notre Dame. Well, let's just be honest. It's not my job to convince you. I'm just saying, look at old miss and shape Patterson, how he performed and now look at him with Michigan defense. I think you have a more trustworthy team then Notre Dame in Washington. You're right. They have a good defense. They have a good quarterback, but wins the last time they showed up in a big game. Let me tell you something two years ago playoffs a lot of hype around him. They played, Alabama, got wax last year in a big bowl game against Penn State for the first three and a half quarters got wax. I'm not saying they're not a good team. I think they're good football team. They have a chance of winning the Pac twelve, but are they good enough on a neutral field to be Auburn team that I think is one of the top six teams in the country. I don't think so. Meantime, most teams that play Alabama, get waxed, Tim and Louisville have to play them without Lamar Jackson. What's going to happen. I think it's going to be a real, really. The only way Louisville can stay in is if they go after the deep pass early because Alabama secondary all young, very talented, but all young, listen, you look this Alabama team defensive line linebackers very good offense of line to all Americans, receivers, three studs, running back. There's four possible all Americans and two great quarterbacks. The only way to go at this Alabama team is to their secondary. But honestly, by the end of the year, they're going to be really good as well. Tim, the go next Glenn. Next, do you think there is going to be a winner of the quarterback competition early and permanently for the season? I don't. I actually think Jalen might even start and play the first couple of series. And then I think to takes over and plays really well. But I think that Sabin wants to keep both of them involved in his offense and in his team because they're two of the best players in America, and it's really hard to have two quarterbacks. A lot of. Will save you have to you don't have one, but I think with these two guys knowing them and knowing what good people they are and what good teammates. I think both of them can be involved in the offense and help the team win because listen this SEC, grinding their schedule. There's a chance at one of them gets banged up, so they're going to need both of these guys to be the best they can be to optimally win another championship ten. The other conference that I'm struggling with, you can convince me, we'll see it's not your job, but I'd like you to because I want to hear your opinion here. The other conference that I'm struggling with his big ten because like five good teams, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan, state, Wisconsin, Penn State. Do you think most people seem to like Ohio State, but all the stuff going on around the program? Is that going to have sort of a New England Patriots affect? Is that going to bring them together and you're anti discipline, or is it going to pull them apart? How does the big ten shakeout? I think it totally brings them together. I think it kinda already has brought them together. I think Ryan days doing a great job as the interim head coach, I know what it's like to play for him. He coached me when I was at Philly given it was for like thirteen minutes. So I got. But but he is a really good football coach, and he is in a great job of really rallying that team. I know Mickey Muratti their strength coach has been really focusing on having each other's back and kind of us against the world mentality. And I really think you're gonna see Ohio State rally together and play really well. And I also think Dwayne Haskins their first time starting quarterback. I think he's got a shot to compete for the Heisman this year. He is a really talented passer, and he has been waiting for his moment. And when he said a time to shine like against Michigan last year when JT bear went down, he really stepped up. I think this kid has a clutch and I think we're going to see it to me. Number crazy. Here. I want to know your final four and who wins at this season. I'm gonna go with Alabama, Georgia, Clemson and Ohio State, and I think Alabama beats Ohio State in the championship. All right. All right. All right. They haven't see again, Tim t will helping us make sensitive to the seller college football Sunday. Thank you so much over here every Friday starting now, right? Yes, ma'am. With less than a week till the beginning of the NFL season. It's time for the experts to make their predictions are ESPN panel of experts voted on who will be the NFL MVP the season in Aaron Rodgers finished first defending NFL, Tom Brady, finished a close second and drew Brees finished a distant third. So max, do you think Brady will be an MVP contention this season, nor don't even think it'll be in contention not only predicted the cliff and the time is now if he's still good week one, then he will live exceeded my prediction and I will have been wrong of course, also be the only one who could fully appreciate the magnitude of the compliment as a result. But I do not believe he will do it, and it's not just because of his age. It's also because in spite of the fact for playing for the greatest coach of all time, and he got his offensive coordinator back when he was a Batum, either the head coach in India and all that stuff. He doesn't have the weapons, the offense of line. There's been turnover an injury, his running back. Is gone and the guy drafting going to be there. He's hurt his left. The left tackle that they drafted his hurt. They had to make a trade for guy who looks more like a right tackle to me that a left tackle. He has no receivers. Gronk is his weapon, and grunk is an unstoppable weapon. That's the only weapon it seems to me on offense. So you combine that with his age and the fact that Aaron Rodgers just did get a big new contract. And by the way, all he has to do is just play like Aaron Rodgers and the fact that drew Brees still got it in on a better team on paper. No, I don't think Brady isn't MVP contention this. Well, thank God. You argued that I thought I was going to have to write a third entry here into the list of contradictions today. Let you are on both sides of the table because you know you. Yellow. Yeah, I think you're on twenty your true. It's just every twenty minutes. That's all. Just every twenty minutes the other ensuing nineteen minutes. It goes on noticed that look you. Of course you can't say he's in contention for the MVP when you say he's going to go over a cliff on week one, he's a hell of a statement by the way about the raining. I don't even like defending. I like raining MVP of the NFL. He's going to be in chant ways to get hurt. And yet you come out here and you say you're going to be one that appreciates the full magnitude of his accomplishment. You undercut him every way, but you're going to claim the crown of Tom Brady champion, kitty play out, play the competition in week. One of the NFL. Let me explain true. There are some truths in what you say. It's not your completely void. No, I don't think you are completely contradicts writing this down for you. Don't want to be ability to see truth uttered on occasion. It doesn't add up to a conclusion that's ever right now. You get a few things, right? The point is this the point is this Tom Brady? You're right. Doesn't have weapons at least not more than rob gronkowski and least for the first four weeks of the season because he does Gettleman back. Right? I mean, some point Eshelman does come back to the team. What pooh-poohing mean to like in either noticing. Eventually he gets on the back then he has a good thing. I don't wanna fight about that because the more important thing is Tom Brady's one MVP's and Super Bowl trophies without weapons. In the past this idea that somehow it's going to undercut completely derail. His MVP hopes because they didn't have weapons. I give you oughta know the entire body of his career. He's never been a guy that's needed big-time wide receivers. He's never been a guy that had big, famous running backs. They've constantly shuttled players in and out the truth. The matter is he throughout his career has had a lesser weapons. Than Aaron Rodgers. Has you talked consistently about what Aaron Rogers does? One man team, Tom Brady had a season with Randy moss. Where's where's his Dougherty Nelson. Where he doesn't have the guys that that that Rogers had. So not having weapons is not going to be some big detriment, some big cliff driving derailment to his MVP candidacy he, he is the single straw that stirs the drink. He will be an MVP MVP contention again. He has become to his credit and not unlike other quarterbacks who are great and got even better somehow as the cliff approach. The reason it's a cliff is because they cruise, this incredibly high altitude and then fall off, but but I have to give Tom Brady credit. He went from game manager, big on third down. Looks like Russell Wilson and other game managers wind up in the hall of fame. We played for great coaches accrue the kind of experience they need and then operated a very high level late in their careers early in his career. He wasn't distraught at stirred the drink and an obvious way as he's become lateness career at act until recent years. It was only when he had a crazy offense of weapon surrounded by other real weapons like Wes Welker was on that team with Randy moss that he was an elite numbers kind of quarterback. When he had Randy moss, they were about to be crowned the greatest in the history of American team sports laggards that was about and they went undefeated. You hear? Yes, he got the MVP last year. He said a Super Bowl record for five hundred yards plus in passing in the Super Bowl, and he had gronkowski and he's still, he's still does any any played catch with gronkowski. But part of the f. any still hasn't the effectiveness of gronkowski was he was surrounded by other offense of weapons. Also, you have Dion Lewis. Also, you have other receivers that you have a good connection with and you've been productive with. He's stripped of all of that. Now at the age of forty one and his offensive line is in turmoil just to be clear. He's stripped of Dion Lewis, and that's why he's not going to get an MVP this year. That's why he's not in continued and like all of his receivers. But yes, sure. I think he's got his receivers are not awesome by the way that's a landing spot or should be landing spot for Dez, Chris, HOGAN eventually Julian. And that's a place where Dez could use could be could be used. But Tom Brady the point is this Tom Brady wins with or without these weapons. That's what history shows with less than a week until the season opener. One eagles player expects Carson Wentz. The start for this before champions lane. Johnson said, he looks impressive and ready. When asked the, that means he'll be starting Johnson said, that's the way he's feeling will. Are you surprised by hearing this? Yeah. Got it. You got to be a little surprise. And I mean, what did they say? It's a twelve to eighteen month injury were nine months into this and Carson Wentz is already coming back. I mean, it's not surprising max to the extent that Doug Peterson has been hinting at it and avoiding actually saying, right, we know this is where it was headed to some degree, Sal, paolantonio, and others said this is going to happen. It is still surprising that wins came back physically like as a man, like Adrian Peterson style, healing. So quickly. I wish the best for Carson wins. I mean, everybody knows them a little bit of a Cowboys fan and let me go as not favorite team, but I think Carson Wentz is a great player, a great dude, and I wish the best form and this is awesome. Awesome news for the eagles because he's just that much better than Nick foles. I was in LA at the Coliseum watching when Wentz was injured and on one wheel completed three passes like throwing the ball down the field and moving around a little bit. He's a really tough guy. So even though it's impressive in a way, it's not that surprising that he came back so fast, but unless he's truly ready like they think, and that includes psychologically ready to play on it boy, that'd be careful here. I would not have been my preference to start em week. One. I'd err on the side of caution with a franchise quarterback the age and quality of Carson Wentz. I know I've I've been talking about it for the last several weeks. His velocity and accuracy have apparently improved Peterson said they have technology to demonstrate that and all of that. But I just think it's not just this season where the eagles are in good shape. Anyway, it's seasons to come where he can be a difference. Maker him if I was sure he was healthy right, and they got the guy behind him. This is why you have besides winning the SuperBowl point. This is why you have Nick foles is why you trade for teddy Bridgewater. So why you don't cut RG three. This is why Nick foles is there right? That's gonna do for us today here on I take and on Monday for the day of the show in New York City and to help us say, could by to Bristol. Here's a look for you at home at all the best moments over the past few years on I take enjoy.
