And so they're reportedly weighing whether or not to leave Facebook completely and forever over a slew of hateful comments that they've gotten in response to post on their platform. Buzzfeed obtained an internal Facebook discussion in which employees wrote that Starbucks may take may take down its Facebook page, which has more than 36 million followers, by the way, because the company is so frustrated by the negative comments they get when they post with regards to social issues or their mission and values at work. I know you do to this kind of a cool thing about all of this stuff that's going on the realities of the world. Rob Gronkowski that drunk Is releasing, you know, trading cards. The drunks getting in on the I didn't realize digital sportsman revealed here was that big a deal? Right? I didn't either. So they're digital trading cards? Yeah. For a while. They got booted because they've been biting people. Who is it? What's that Some are going away. But major Major Biden is the one that I guess had the biting incident. They said the two German shepherds that belonged to the president from the first lady. Were returned to their family home in Delaware. After aggressive behavior at the White House involving major Biden. He was adopted by the Biden family. In November. 2018 from a Delaware animal shelter had what one of the people described as a biting incident with a member of White House security. The condition of the victim is unknown. However, the episode was serious enough that the dogs were moved to Wilmington. Where they remain so unintended consequences of the news. So one of the Republicans saying, But this is a this is the this dog could have been could've been owned by a Republican before they adopted your is a Republican. He's very upset with Biden's border policies. Now think about though. Being a dog and living at the White House. I mean, from the dog's perspective you're seeing there are a lot of people in it out. Ah, lot of smells a lot of sounds, helicopters. It's got to be kind of weird, and I don't think it's the first time that there was a move like a demeanor. Problem wasn't didn't George W. Bush have an issue with one of his animals, too. I think Remember, I know that Lyndon Johnson did about forgetting where there any have all the other President Jimmy Carter have dogs. Quentin anything Clinton always loved to slam Trump for not having any animals, which is like ridiculous, but Maybe this is why you don't have animals at the windows with George W. Bush animals. Mm. Right. Meanwhile, let's talk jy Jennifer's looking that up. About this brawl. It's trending at the bath and Body works store and the video that's gone Viral. What in the name of heaven? Is going on here. It happened in Arizona. Two identified women were charged after it was a disagreement. One woman cut in line wasn't wearing a mask got too close to another woman who had a child with her. They started throwing some words around, and then the one woman like things were escalating and so on, Employees jumped in trying to de escalate the situation where the video picks up. It's one of the customers and one of the employees physically fighting and then other employees came trying to stop it. But then everybody's getting thrown around. It becomes this pile up. I mean, it was and whether anything about somebody broke in the line clearly will buy three Get three sale. It was a big deal. A spokesperson for L brands. The parent company released a statement saying they're deeply concerned for over the incident, and they're going to do an investigation in partnership with local law enforcement. But would you see the video no matter what happened? Those employees. They didn't conduct themselves very well. Know that was it looks It looks bad. I mean, they don't need that. That bath and war body works does not need a security team because those three people were tough and they're wearing their stupid like suspenders and their uniforms, and they're a brilliant woman. It's interesting. You said that Bath and body works belongs to L brands, which owns a lot of the of the high end clothing concerns, too, Doesn't it? L brands and that own the tie end. It's it, isn't it? Victoria Secret plane, Brian something that there's another one. I think so. Right. New York City Cruz with Yeah, Yeah, Alright speaking and just to answer your question, so I don't I can't find any bad reports The media used to record used to say that spotty. Which was George W. Bush's dog was kind of a jerk. But there's no incidents. I confined If inviting anybody, so spotty was the last one and then Boa belonged to the Obama's. Okay. All right. Next up here, Speaking of problems that are of your own, making Papa John's The founder is a guy named John Shatner. Or is it Schnatter? It's I guess it's I've always, said Shatner, but it's Schnatter. Eyes talking and double speak these days, saying he's not a racist. I am not a racist, but he's having to purge, he says. I'm working on purging the end word. From my repertoire. This guy's a jerk. What does that even mean? Why did you tell that much work? How is it taking decades of work? He's a jerk. That's ridiculous. You just don't say it. I just don't understand that I saw that story. It was TMZ, and they picked up in a one everywhere. And I don't get it. I mean, how do you even use that word number one. And then if you get caught for using it and you lose stuff, why wouldn't you just get rid of it? It's so hey, got fired for what? 20 months ago, and he's still working on it. This guy needs to go to a shrink. Muchas maybe even more. An exorcist. Get rid of all of that stuff. Kim Kardashian is going to get the house. About that boys and girls part of her divorce from Kanye the 15,000 Square foot home that they have. Are they in Calabasas? Where are they? Jennifer Hidden Hills with that Carly on here as well. The Kardashians are in Calabasas. But Kim and Kanye I think lived in Beverly Hills. Well, they did. Okay, so they had They bought a house for 20 mil, and they spent 20 mil fixing it up, Okay? And talk about what we're doing The last hour about the quasar that came from outer space that 13 billion years old. How does anybody even imagine that you buy a house for 20 mil. And you spend 20 mil fixing it out Those numbers. I know you just slumming it at 20 e mean, think about the Kardashians were in nothing. Zero. They had nothing. They do nothing on the door again. The dad was a pro high profile lawyer. Robert Kardashian representative so that I mean they weren't like destitute. "Doug Stephan, Jennifer Horan, Victoria Keelan, and now Jake Kerschner is in the fray if you will in charge of social Media How much Victoria is Julianna Stones, contributing to Social media comments these days. I don't know if he's allowed to don't cars allowed. Well, I know I don't little bullets back up. I don't know what he's allowed to do. So I have no idea if he's on social media at the moment if he's allowed to, but Ah British judge ruled just within the last half an hour. That Wiki that he is, of course, the founder of Wikileaks. We know that. But the British judge has said now that he should not be extradited to the US to face charges of violating the espionage act because he's at extreme risk of suicide. That's the reason that the this bridge is British Magistrate. The Ness, a barrister has said that the defense had provided compelling evidence that he suffers from severe depression. That he has written a Will. He saw absolution from a priest and a razor blade was found hidden in his cell at Belmarsh Prison in London, where he is currently charged with 18 federal crimes, including conspiring to obtain and disclose hundreds of thousands of pages of secret government documents, classified diplomatic cables sensitive military reports from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. In all of this. He has dumped on through the Wikileaks website. And also he did direct love. He did direct data dumps two journalists. Well, so obviously the U. S. Has had uninterested in having him extradited to they want him to be flown by U. S marshals to Northern Virginia. To face the charges, but it would expose him to 175 years in maximum security prison. That would make me depressed too. If I thought that that was my only option. So now there s so now I guess the British court is being more sympathetic to him. So we'll see where it goes. But that's a that's a big win for him because face it, you know, saying where he is in London is nothing compared to the charges he faces here. Wow. Speaking of jail, there's an execution date that has been set for a woman. Federal death row inmate. She was supposed to be put to death and that was apparently taken off the table. And now Lisa Montgomery Always convicted of strangling a pregnant woman taking the baby out of her womb eyes now now scheduled once again for execution. Was supposed to be December 8th. And now it's back on for January. 12th. Apparently they're trying to stall it till bride becomes president because he's against the death penalty. And you know, you wonder she has a history of mental illness is that What do we take into consideration when somebody does something like this? And I'm not a bleeding heart. So it's not first looked at this before. I really dug around Victoria sort of pointed me in another direction. I thought, Oh, this is heinous. This is horrible. This woman deserves to die. And I don't like I don't like the death penalty because I don't really mental illness. Make the woman who had her stomach carved apart feel any better. I mean, I don't think it does. You're still removing the rights from someone else at, But was she aware of it? Is that the question? I'm not huge death penalty advocate. But my and I've said this before one of my best friends lost. Grand parents of the night stalker, Richard Ramirez. And she said it was the only thing that would give her closure to move on. And you know what? She deserved it and he didn't And so I mean he raped her grandmother and ate her eyeballs. Good morning to that. I mean, do you really think that that kind of person needs to be sucking up here on the planet? Don't so I think for victims if it does give them closure. They should be a part of that decision. I think. Hmm. Well, they're obviously different points of view on this. If you are, depending on your religion, sometimes there's Staunch opposition to it. I don't have because of religious reason. I just think for the most part of it isn't a defect. It isn't a deterrent the other side of his sound like paying for people to be in jail for the rest of their lives when they're going to do anything, anyway, we're just paying Haven't sitting to sell or to work in the weight room or a cream or criminals of people. They're going to get out. Who knows what that goes on in prison? It's not an easy and my friends. That's the person I talk to you about Richard Ramirez. He died of hepatitis C in prison. He wasn't even put to death. I mean, California doesn't usually keeps people on death row for their whole life. But I mean, think about the medical expenses that go into treating some of these diseases to a lot of times, you'll hear the argument that it's cheaper to keep people alive than it is to put him to death and again. I'm not advocating. I think it should be only used under the most serious of circumstances, but Man, I don't know. Well, the last time a woman was executed by the government and our country was 1953 so that tells you something about the public focus. On women being executed or what the public feeling is the emotion that's attached to it. I think it's the crime. I don't think it has anything to do with the public. I think that that women statistically are not mass shooters. They're not mass murderers. They're not serial killers, and that's statistically they commit. That's true lines. Why Why is it white and women not grab a AK 47 ago? Shoot up the post office or things that guys do? What is there other than the obvious that that keeps women from doing stuff like that? I think it's a really interesting question. And I would if we ever had like a criminal behavioral expert. I think it would be really interesting. You know, you see the FBI profilers toe on different shows. I think it would be interesting to figure out what they know about the differences. I don't know the hormones. Maybe. I mean hormones are pretty powerful. Think psychologically. Women. Women are more maternal women have an empathy that I think men don't rap on And so I feel like I mean, there's probably some real physiological differences in the brain chemistry of how people treat one another so What does that say about me? I'm in touch with my feminine side. Is that what does that mean? I'm like, hopefully means you're not gonna be a serial killer. That's probably I mean, I think you probably would have gone down that path already. Despite your life. I've had play. Yes, I've had plenty of opportunity. This lady, by the way, is 52 years old. So this was she was quite young. And apparently she wanted a child. And this was the only way I think I remember vaguely what went on with this thing. She was that she couldn't get pregnant. She couldn't have. She didn't have a baby and she wanted one. So she just saw somebody pregnant, killed him and took the baby. I think the baby died. Obviously, that's not a balanced person. That's a personal, severe mental illness, right? Yeah, yeah. Right. So there's that I noticed that California is turning away a lot of patients at Jennifer. There are all these hospitals around the country..

"J. V show with Doug Stephan and Victoria Keelan Jennifer's off this week, the House rejected Trump's veto of that military spending bill, which I thought was kind of interesting, given the fact that he's always been such a Hammer for the Defense Department. But there's so much pork in it s so they're gonna Bernie Sanders said that he's going to delay the vote in the Senate because He wants to tied to the stimulus checks, so he's gonna that I don't know. Well, are they gonna get with that one, but I don't know, because Chuck Schumer said he wants it to be a unanimous thing in the Senate. But, you know, Republican senators, including Mitch McConnell will probably say no to the $2000. So I guess Bernie said he was gonna try to hold up that vote. Um yeah, but I don't know that's gonna work. So 27% Victoria of the Registered Voters in Georgia say they have already cast their ballots, which I think is a sickness in society. They don't know what's gonna happen. The vote isn't until that next Tuesday is next Tuesday Is the election right? The runoff? So a lot could change early vote. Well, not really. What's going to change these air senators who've already dropout who know no one's dropping out these heir to this is a runoff election. These two senators already ran and won. They just won by such a small margin and triggered the runoff. There's a chance that they won't win this time, but that's you know, now I totally disagree. There's nothing wrong with early 2.1 Million voters have already voted. In races with Kenny Law. Flor Kenny. Good. Doug Kelley Law Flor On one side, with David Perdue, running against What is it? Raphael Warnock, these air both chat so that the Republicans were both in office now, and the Democrats are the ones challenging and for the first time a long time. Georgia's seems to be at least leaning a little tipping a little to the Democratic side, right. Even though around the country have been Biden won the state so yes, that he's the first Democratic president to win. I think, since Clinton my guess is that they're going to be is gonna be one Republican and one Democrat that wins and I don't always wrong wins. Purdue is kind of a turkey get offer. "34 after the hour here on Christmas Eve. I'm Doug Stephan, with Victoria Keelan generators off this hour of the program. We're celebrating with all of you thinking about me and not in a negative sense. What would be different for you and your family this year, As things are obviously changing. I was listening to Carpenter's. I'll be home for Christmas, and they kind of a syrupy, saccharine thing. But it's a good Christmas. You know you love them, but I find all their music to be so depressing and to hear them and then to hear them singing. I'll be home for Christmas. I think I just want to drive off the road. I mean, can't even there's the Grinch right there. Female Bridge, Victoria Yes, I guess. Yeah, Grinch who stole Christmas? So the Christmas movies that are around and with that in mind is thinking about all the MGM because there's a story floating around today that MGM wants to get out of the business. Sell the studio, a cell all of its assets sell the film library. The whole thing is worth billions of dollars. They are the ones that produced the James Bond movies. I wonder what he's gonna go. You know what happens with that? Who's gonna hope Disney. You know who's gonna It'll go into a bidding war. And one of the streaming service is probably HBO, Max because they've got the most funding. They'll probably end up buying all these properties and everyone who's the subscriber HBO. Max will be able to see the whole collection of Rocky and trilogy tension in the future, Because now you know the bond stuff will continue. Their rocky pictures were in there. The Pink Panther movies, the hobbits all of that stuff in there, And then there's a ton of TV. Syriza's That have been made there and belong to the studio. But because of co vid they, you know they haven't been able to make any movies. Now. They they're going back a lot of movie production, it started back up again. But still I was talking to somebody last night who kind of really knows what's going on. And she said to me, you know, it may be first quarter second quarter, maybe late spring before things kind of Turned back into some normalcy. And there may be a huge number of people who over the next couple of months. Take that long and winding road to the next beyond. Because this is the wintertime or people. You know, they get sick anyway. The regular flues and Cole's had even thought about it this way. But many more people are sick in the wintertime, and they are in the summertime. All right. So you know, going through all of this stuff now, I don't want to just cut his Christmas, so it's not talk about it at any rate there. A lot of people who have I think what I'm trying to urge people to think about. You know, I've always do the night before Christmas and all through the house. Somebody sent me a variation. This woman says I hope you're gonna do your night before Christmas. What do you think of this? And this is what she wrote was the night before Christmas and all through the hood. Not a creature was stirring. It was quite quiet His wood when all of a sudden as I was counting sheep, the dog went ballistic. And kept me from sleep. Now, Baxter now con I said in a rage. If you don't keep it down, you'll be sent to your cage. But the barking continued. Then they scratched it the floor and I began to wonder what could make them so sore. So I gathered my courage. I spied through the door and you'll never believe what gave chase on all fours. Rudolph is one thing I believe in the elves. But if I hadn't seen this, I would not believe it myself. And then there's a picture of her dogs Can it reminded me of you actually and your dogs and what they can. What kind of what can they get into What kind of Nixon new CSI stuff can they get into with a tree or decorations? Things like that? I wonder who would talk to one extent or pet expert. About Christmas, and I said to him yesterday because he's always said that every Christmas for he's been on this program for decades, and so I said to him what? Well, I didn't actually ask him a question. I said Okay. No, no, no, no, no, right. And he said, no, no, no. Yes, Yes, yes. So, he said this year because there's so many dogs that are in need that he was going to back away from what he used to say about not getting a pet a new dog or cat or something at Christmas time because there's so many who need And there are people who are. You know, there is not the kind of activity because families they're just not getting together, so he thought it would be okay to get a dog for Christmas. So what do your dog's doing? You've got one that the second dog wasn't with you last Christmas right now. The passing of the other ones. So, Yeah, um Yes. Oh, Chester is our new guy. We got him. Um, we started fostering him in March and then the whole world. Shut down. So, uh And then we fell in love with him. So he this is his first Christmas. And Yeah, so luckily he has not. He doesn't seem to care about the tree or the president's or anything. He had some candy hiding and Luis's stocking and so we got up on all fours and candy cane out, but that's about it. Yeah, well, I just think that that's the sort of stuff that there's some rituals that people are gonna miss this year. Are you thinking about something that I'm not trying to be more? I just think it's worth Thinking about what the alternatives are, because so many of youse are. Well, you know, when you think about what you could do instead of what you've always done, Maybe that's the the new tradition lesson here. Yeah, exactly. Thank you. That's exactly what I was going with us. So what's your new tradition? The sacred What are the sacred ones? First of all that have been hard to realize that you are gonna have to have sort of you had to give him up. But this dinner Christmas Christmas Day We always have dinner with my parents. So you and my dad and our family small. It's just my parents, My brother, his wife and Lewis and me So just the six of us and we open presents and we have dinner and You know, my mom that look like to do a nice, Beano sit down dinner, so I will. Well, obviously all of us will miss that. But we've never Louis Nice that we've never. We've always had to travel on Christmas Day. So we're kind of excited to just wake up and have breakfast and open presents together and we don't have to go anywhere, so it's actually we're really looking forward to it. We have other friends who are couples who are, you know, saying the same thing. We don't love the presents over to so and so's house. You know, it's it's we can do everything in our PJs. And it's kind of fitting for 2020 because everyone lives in pajamas anyway, now, so it's kind of the perfect way to end the year. You know, it's funny. You say that my friend and our our consultant Mike McVeigh, A teases me we have usually on the zoom once a day or three or four times a week. Anyway, and he's usually right after I get off the air or within an hour, so with me, I'm still doing my work. And I'm usually always the bathroom. Very rarely have I gotten dressed. So we, you know, we talked with some big time radio people that we send me the conferences..

"Horn, Victoria Keelan Doug Stephan. And the focus on music every hour of the program. We do four or five minutes. Music news, Some of the stars and what's going on with them. This is a song called Boys Will be boys by Dua Lipa. I love that name. I know you do. I was just gonna say of all the modern artists you love, saying her name The Mochi gets it lead to Billboard is unveiled. A presenter and performer line up for the annual billboard Women in Music Awards, including Chloe. Ex Hollywood. I didn't know what we and Hallie OK Miley Cyrus and do is in it. Malu, MMA Dolly! Let's see here. Tianna Taylor is the host who's she? She's an artist director producer. I forget what show she's affiliated with right now. But there's something she's crazy, okay. Buzzy. Let's see that'll be on the air on Thursday. Eight o'clock on the award shows websites Tamika Palmer, mother of Rianna Taylor. Will present Cardi B with issues Women of the Year award. Why What is her claim to fame? Why would she be doing that? Because the reason anybody know well her mom to make it, Palmer. You mean party or to make Apollo to make a bomber is the mother of Rianna Taylor? So she's been doing a lot of, you know. So Brianna's getting into your car debut, Okay? Yeah, so she's going to present Cardi B. With the award, Cardi B usually was going to get the powerhouse award recognizing and actors. Music dominated streaming and sales, radio and the music conversation this year, Charles you're going to perform boys will be boys, which we were listening to at the beginning there. Miley Cyrus is going to be along to present the hit maker award. Their godmother, Dolly, who'll be performing her classic hit 9 to 5, and also that I'll be jolly Christmas. Maybe she's so cute. She looked good the other night on that CBS trying to forget that And then Malone was going to present the marry me co star Jennifer Lopez with an icon award during the Billboard Women in Music event. All right, so it's coming up on Thursday night. Next musically, a 25 and change after on the D J V program is Shin Aid O'Connor. He's going to publish a new memoir, Who's Going to Care is the question Probably. It's called Shin AIDS. Remembering things be out next June, a memoir finds have been following her story, but Why? Because it's a compelling story. She was a huge star, and she's had a tragic ups and downs with mental health issues. She was on Dr Phil that, like broken records when she had you know she was on with him last year. Well, let me ask you this recorder. Drug induced, or was it just what? Her history is? A history of mental illness? It started. I could show you had some some addiction should be taking should be compassionate about her. Then instead of what I what I remember is the arrogance of the way. She tore up the picture of the pope that I remember and I'm no fan of the Catholic Church, but Was just kind of the way it was done. It seemed I could make my mother wasn't tough. Childish. Yeah, right. Or just gotta just mean spirited. Anyway s Oh, I get it. She was protesting in Ireland at the time. You know, I have two uncles who were swept up in that same thing. It was the abuse from of Children by the cat by the clergy. So she was in and out of, you know, the care of the Catholic Church is a child.

"Doug Stephan with Jennifer Horn and Clodagh Doyle is here with us from Ireland. She is the keeper of Irish folklore at the National Museum of Ireland, working on the Irish folk life collection that they have there and she'd been at it for a number of years. It's the museum's longest serving. She's the longest serving curator in the museum. So let's find out. You know, we think about Halloween and what we think about Irish Halloween traditions. Here. Get half Irish blood in you. It's too bad Victoria's ill today because she would like this quota. Welcome to American radio. How are you? I'm grace. Thank you. Good morning to both You and Jennifer. Thanks for having me. Happy to have you? Oh, great. And I'm 25 years working with the National Museum of not battled, although today is my birthday money six years old. That good I did. Yeah, just some young kid how important he is Halloween. In Ireland, You know, we think about it in terms of an American tradition, But Halloween is pretty much celebrated around the world. So what goes on in Ireland? What goes on in Ireland? Well, I think we and turns the marlin you keep into art and I know took but have it has? Yeah. Yeah, great. It's Yeah, it's just the traditions. That would be that we would have always celebrated Halloween because it is a Catholic festival, and it's coming down from 5000 years ago on we're very because Ireland is an island. We were the insular Can we leave? It survives longer? A lot of pagan traditions would have, um, and festivals would have come And before Christianity and now, I suppose, but we were always having bonfires. That's a tradition of Halloween. So that would be that would go back to a kind of a pagan way of celebrating the community and also because it's such a darkness. It's the end of Summer festival, and it's It's the half of the were facing into dark days to brighten up that and bring some lice into your life. With a you'd have a bonfire on that kind of looking to look into the sun for life for some light into the darkness rating. So yes, above very traditional on DH. It's very, very traditional kind of where my people really believed, and that The spirits of the dead weren't on the other world and the fairies that kind of believed in all those words, but they didn't really believe that they were totally separate and gone on. But when it came to the seasonal course, today's the night before a new season starts like winter starts on the first of November. It's always the evening before when people read the celebrations. On DH. That's when they believe you are much more in touch with the supernatural world, and that's where we have all these. Yes, that's why we brought the belief that it's It's a very liminal time. It's a time where you're in between times on DH, you know of Ottoman, You know Christ in winter, and that's when the supernatural world can be on our own world can collide. So people really believe that there's sometimes dad might come back. The dirty departed, one might come back and You know, come back to their own home place on sometimes would leave some food for them. So it's kind of a happy celebration of your own and family who have departed on then I suppose that kind of lends itself to people believe in that maybe if the spirits of people walking around It would be good for on and mischievous and the trick will be on on that would be they dress up and play in masks. Guns, you know, dress up as kind of a scary, scary ghost lady. So that's kind of where we have that masking tradition really, and where it's coming from. One of the things that is very, I think what you just said very interesting at the acknowledgement that the the tradition the Catholic traditions of Ireland and the religious holidays, not only in Ireland, but the Catholic. The Catholic holidays were pretty much all pagan holidays that were stolen by the religionists. And so we will get our enemy. Yeah, that was a good way for convert. Because, really, I suppose when Christianity comes, they realized people our celebration around November on DH, you know, because it's the dark half of the year in the winter. And they also understand, so that's why they make it a holy day on the first of November is Comes from the all saints, So it's a celebration of all things All Hallow's Eve. It's called All Hallow's Eve. Yeah, right. Kind of traditional. Yeah. What about pumpkins and and costumes and masks over there? They similar to what we have here in America. He had probably coming from the same countries made me bring them and yes, But years ago, we would have made her own top costume in Ireland this year. It's the tough guy. I have no idea. No idea because we're not. We're in covert times and there is no trick or treating at all. You know, I hear to another which we're not allowed on DH. So it's kind of cancelled. But, you know, I mean, when I grew up, it was just black bag it wear a black bag or you dress up a goal keeper makes most the time you were just after the witch and, you know Yes. So it was very simple back then Underwear the plastic month, but people made their own things and painting their faces on DH, So we have a lot of those traditions on DH. People still do dress up in disguise. But it's also about playing a trick on people years ago, it was the night for mischief and you'd go on, run away from somebody story. Knock on their door or run away. When they come out. There's no one there are you've thrown a cabin just adore themes with tricks and then cabbage. He understand you had to do the lot. The rotten cabbage. OK, so for those who are interested Irish folks who are interested Goto Hashtag, Ireland, home of Halloween. Hash tag Love Ireland or Ireland. Dotcom. Thank you. Clodagh. Clodagh Doyle here supposes the turn. It is the thing that went to America on your pumpkin back turnaround is fair play. All right, 21 after the hour here. America was made from hard work and pride in a job well done. Since.

"By golly, it's 30 for half the hour. Good day to you from the TV program. Doug Stephan, Jennifer Horn, Victorian Keelin, Things are popping along for Amy. Tony Barrett, right? That seems to be moving in the direction that the Republicans predicted it would move to my right. Is that something? I I'm not paying a lot of attention to our cause. I find the situation during his L, however. Anyway. The The situation moves ahead. Everything is moving toward Election Day. How many people will be influenced? Do you think by the shenanigans with the confirmation? Robert and I say that I don't even know it wasn't it's not lovingly. I think it's just it's it's they're all shenanigans. It's all playing politics, and I'm not even sure they're playing to the base. I just think it's It's a power game power trip, which is what politics is all about. Let's face it. So if you wanna have the power to influence it to a certain extent, don't let anybody talk you out of saying things like, well, your own count. Yeah, it's it's that's not true. At all, and you need to feel like you have some kind of power. There's a word that's overused these days, and it's called the word is empowerment. But I think you have to feel like you have I say. And a lot of people just say what time's my vote make if everybody said that? What would Howard the system work? That makes me crazy? Because think about how many elections I mean even the 2016 presidential election. Was determined by thousands of votes. A lot of local elections determined by go to the person you shouldn't want it actually, does you the electric surge in college? So it's right. And I think I forget what state but it was only 70,000 votes, right? So, yeah, it matters It matters and one of the things I think that's even more prevalent right now. Is people being bullied? I don't know if you guys if this made national news or not, but in my home town or home area of Los Angeles, I don't live in Beverly Hills, but Beverly Hills is just announced. They're going to board up and shut down. On November 3rd and fourth because there are threats that if Trump wins, they're going to be huge riots in that area, And so they're actually getting people they have that. I don't know. I guess they have some intel because they're shutting down literally. The entire stretch of rodeo drive their boarding everything up. And they're putting it already. What you might call it a curfew in place. We you know, I like to know if I was a resident there and I am part of the year. I'd want to see some proof. What do you do What you talking about? What kind of craziness is this serious bowler. But see, That's the thing like I don't have that again. This is I don't know if this made national news but a friend of mine who lives in Colorado sent this to me over the weekend. There's a trailer park in Colorado. Did you guys hear about this that the owner of the trailer Park said. If Trump wins, then No one's rent will go up. But if Biden wins, he's doubling everyone's rent. Crazy. I mean, that's like that's one course away to say that you could say under buying policies..

"J. V show. Doug Jen Victoria. I'm Doug Stephan. My comments. General One has hers in period keen and also hers. We were talking about the presidential race, and I wondered whether the John Bolton book We'll have anything to do. That was sort of in here in the whole overall review of what's going on this week and the chaos of AH review. What about the bowling book? Who's read it? And what do we think? I have not read it, but I don't know. I think it's it's going to be tough for him to get sales. I don't know who his audiences Victoria's pointed that out many times, and I don't necessarily think it changes the election. John Bolton's books leaves two people. The ardent supporters of President Trump who aren't going to listen to him and the Democrats. Tio want something bad on who are never going to vote for him, so You know? Is it going to have a huge impact on the independent voters? I don't think so. He's going to be on the TV program with us next Tuesday. I don't normally do with you. These such strident political stuff. I find him to be sent to care. And I've been so out. Spoken about him. I thought, Okay, Let's take a shot at having him on the program and see what he sounds like what he has to say. In a few minutes. You know as a quick hit people who is anybody listening to this program. We have millions of people on hundreds of station. Listen to the D. J V program every week. Is anybody going to be influence? That's kind of what you just address Jennifer. Whether anybody's going to be influenced by listening to him to buy the book. How is it selling by the way to this point went out for a week or so. You want to know what the statue on Tuesday so I don't know what the stats are yet? No Alright, Number three on the story list this week. We're getting into the area, which was number one last week, the week before. Now this week Number three the whole business about race relations in our country Police reform movement. I think the pendulum has gone if I could put my two cents worth in The focus on on black lives matter how that relates to our relationships, whether it be black on white or whether it's any number. Of different consideration for race. I think that the police reform movement is something that is long overdue, and I would encourage everybody listening to participate in this discussion. And I think, as I said, with the education situation in number six that there needs to be complete reform there as well. One of the subtext to race relations was the complete overcooking of the news case in NASCAR, NASCAR and Bubba Wallace. That was that, like became ridiculous. Eso anyway, those really though Why do you think it's ridiculous?.

"Twelfth Doug Stephan with Victoria Keenan here looking at the list it's repaired by talkers magazine number ten is a focus on the immigration I don't know who's been talking around rigors haven't heard anybody talk about immigration this week at the communication technology have you admitted I have no no I I and the only things that we've heard this week the correctly is the same stuff from last week the business where it serves as the co created but also more focus on black lives matter that movement maybe the fact that police are going to be de funded in various markets around the country the economy is a focus but I think that in terms of what is real Victoria at the activity in Washington have for example the Armed Services Committee passing offense bill amendment that would curb the use of military force against protesters I thought that was part of the constitution that you could use military force as protesters so I was I thought that was a I thought that was like in the bill of rights so I'm not sure why they needed to do that I I know senator Tim Kaine from Virginia he had an interesting quote he said I never thought I'd see the day that I even had to propose and vote on this type of legislation but here we are twenty two anyone else could go wrong well everything going yeah I guess we can look at the world and and be happy that we're all that we have our families and we have our health but there is so much you know that the protests that the world seems to be coming apart at the seams and one of the things that you and I talk about with regard to this I mean even the listener technology of what we're doing and how you doing the program is impacted by some kind of accent is an international act that seems to be in the way of us being able to do the program and it's affecting everybody who do these sorts of programs from both locations SO you get right down to brass tacks everything is being affected how much of it is being affected by the the Chinese problem have that Russians who knows who else north Koreans I don't think the Iranians are capable much of acting stuff but when you get right down to brass tacks the the world also whether the average person wants to admit it or not is being impacted by the astrology of this stars the the business people say oh you're crazy I I don't think I'm crazy at all and you and I have the same sort of spiritual if that's what it is outlook on things and understanding that the alignment of the stars and how many of the stars are and retrograde and things that it just it happened many times in the conversation Hey even the average person doesn't necessarily follow this knows what it means when Mars goes to I mean mercury goes retrograde well there are five or six planets at the moment according to astrology is better in retrograde and this hasn't happened since the American revolution that is the stars have not been in this formation since we went to get direction extract ourselves from from Britain and we all know kind of turmoil that was and the last time the configuration was the same as it is now prior to seventeen seventy four five and six is when the Roman Empire fell apart and that was a thousand years before that SO is really in a sense this kind it I mean it's just it sounds crazy but how else do you explain all of these things happening at the same time look at the problems that we have the the ongoing problems of of the economy and that's been affected by a course the code bid and that was started by the Chinese and now there are people who think that the Chinese are behind a lot of disturbances that have popped up since the death of George flight and he's not you know that's another discussion with me we have in the next half hour why it is that he's the poster boy of this at the moment when in fact there are plenty of other problems that have been encountered by the police and the blacks that are not related to him we continue here hi I'm Lauren expand with the picture tip of the day lick lick lick lick lick you know for all of us were owned by our dogs have been made by our four footed best friends at one time or another this can be a sign of affection a special greeting an expression of pleasure or an attention getting device on the other hand your dog may be looking to stop the taste the salt on your skin or the remnants of that great astronomy sandwich you just state so don't flatter yourself on a serious note down if you don't develop obsession with making a specific spot on his body it's often of way of telling you that this pain in that area so have it checked by the veterinarian another reason doc looked at people are unaware of what a puppy's first born the first thing the mom does is look at the clinic so when a dog is feeling stressed or cats for that matter as well when you're feeling stressed pretty often the re birth the things they remember when they were very young just like the the human being who stopped their thought so if you have a dog that's in excess of liquor one of the best ways to resolve that is really get that mind stimulating mental stimulation go a long way but always check with the vet as well to make sure it's not a tooth or periodontal problems are more expect all three different than every other weight loss product out there because it's actually good for you a lot of other weight loss products have drugs and stimulants and I'm so you have.

"Hello I'm Doug Stephan this I'm the D. in the DJB showed categories here Victoria Feelin working through the ritual of our daily or deal here which is one of the nicest things that we all do during the course of the day something that we all look forward to we love being with you we love being with each other and their covert nineteen as changing the rest as we were never together anyway I mean together physically we do our program virtually and it's a ritual that I started actually I've been virtually doing radio programs since nineteen ninety two I think the third fourth year of doing is maybe late nineties or early ninety three when I started doing this program from home through a facility at that time was I connected to I don't remember where I was what I was going to do is because I've done this through our connections in Washington and New York and on the west coast anyway not important it's nice to know that we can do these things were just talking about all the people who are working from home and what that will do once things become more normalized which I maintain will not be until next year about this time I think everything's going to be upset they're gonna be a lot of who was going through a list last night of all the restaurants in my area and then I looked in another you love this click bait stuff I know but I when I yeah did Victoria was go through about a dozen restaurants that have just declared that they are bankrupt and we're not open and that's it we dont which kind of sad because couple of more really good restaurants yeah then I'm in the restaurant business enough without it is nine oh my god yeah it's it is a it's a treacherous business to be in it really is hard but anyway the circumstance and restaurant owner think about a lot of the people who work and play and said wait staff there and they don't know if they're going to go back because even if restaurants start to reopen their doing it slowly they're not doing a full re hire of people because they might be doing curbside or delivery they're going to work at half capacity how many people are actually going to come into restaurants I mean there's so many questions swirling about that industry it's it's not going to be pretty for a long time well there are a lot of seasonal industries that open up to a point whether they will open is big I think to the places did you visit the summertime the parks and that sort of thing will require you wear a mask this summer just having this issue is going to be other than that the restrictions are being listed herein if you look at where already that's happened like in Germany and maybe other parts of Europe the restriction to be eased and the number of cases is going up and that's what's going to happen the public is not going to stand any longer though for just being told you have to stay put it's just not good whether it's here or whether it's anywhere around the world at one of the things that I want to remind myself to do later ladies it remind me to do it is to have that they were gonna called that woman from the apart times I read something yesterday that the deaths in China are well into the millions perhaps double digit Miljan mages double digit millions the major **** are diagram more rapidly than big people but yeah is it numbers in in China are astronomical well what we're learning from the cell phone data not only that the epic times talking about the twenty one million people who are using their cell phones that are off from January to March but this cell phone data has also exposed that they closed down the streets around the wheel him lab in October it's not in December or January like the Chinese suggested that they actually settled down in October so why why did they do it probably because they had a leak and they kneel yep yep so anyway it's just a more more every day I want to know what's being done here by our leaders to make sure that we don't have a repeat of this by encouraging that by making sure that most of the people doing business in China bringing business back here incentivize it somehow or other let's see if there's some real leadership there and not people pandering all well we don't want to maybe heard them do that but let me they've killed millions of people in their own country no mind around the rest of the world and caused chaos like we've never seen in our lives so no not going easy on the Chinese at all meanwhile is bring you back home Victoria speaking of not making it easy at this video maybe it's it's sort of brings around what people fear about a one individual on another individual and what can happen when there is corruption but I don't know what that much about this third person was in the truck was taking the video of the guy these two white dude father and son killed a black guy so what is what do we know more about him today that he knew well now he's a he's from Georgia his name is William rock quote unquote Roddy Bryan and he's the one who filmed the fatal shooting of a mod operate he is now saying it is according to his lawyer his lawyer says that he's just a pawn in a much larger game so William Roddy Brian gave few interviews local interviews in Georgia and he was on the Chris Cuomo and his attorney not CNN and he said I would like to first of all say I am very sorry to the family I pray for them every night as well as my own family and retirement the job like I or the white guys let's use the his name Ahmad armory is that is the victim and and so that's it so that that's a radi Brian said that he prays for Ahmad Aubrey's family every night he prays for his own family as well because he said they've received death threats so he and his fiance are now reportedly living in their car and so he said that ever since he released this video that it this is been you know at look people want to know and Jensen saying this too and we all feel the same way what the hell was he doing why was she filming a murder he was filming selling nations right now it when he was asked that question by Chris Cuomo he didn't immediately respond other than to say that police sirens were audible almost immediately he did he did not call nine one one and then the Mick Michael's the father Gregory Nick Michaels was the one who called nine one one now this guy claims he has no relationship what so ever with the Nick Michaels but it's also very suspicious then well why were you filming this whole incident than if you had no relationship whatsoever so many holes in the story obviously the prosecution is going to be cutting some sort of deal with him because he didn't return over the video which will convict the Georgia Gregory in Travis make Michaels but it's it's it's the whole thing is just it's very disturbing the guy you know it did the first he's mentioned in the police report as trying to attempting to block Ahmad armory but that if he was unsuccessful now that's the only time he's mentioned in the police report which is very it's a weird statement block him how we don't know if he tried to physically blocking with his body if you try if he was in a car it looks like he's on foot from that from the angle of the video it's there's so many questions and obviously now he's going on a P. R. tour with his lawyer to try to make sure he doesn't face any charges I don't know how you can't be an accessory to this but he's claiming that he was just an innocent bystander who started filming because he saw something unusual that's his story really that's his that's what he says so I don't know there's obviously gonna be a lot more to come out about this but the whole thing is a mess now the first the first time I'd read about the story there wasn't there was it there in the white pick up truck that the father and son were driving the the first report that came out said that the third party we did know was name then jumped into the back of the pickup truck and so I don't know if you don't know someone why would you jump in the back of their moving pickup truck it doesn't make sense yeah I don't there's so many holes in that story yeah there once was a lady named sue who had nothing whatever to do and who did it so badly I thought she would gladly have stopped before she was through they once I once knew a word for Segway in the history of radio Jan just go with it okay well thank you follow the bouncing ball that's bouncing around Oakley today is national livery day however here are twelve pays homage to the man who made the short poems widespread Mr Edward Lear English poet known and he writes there once was a man from Nantucket I know I know him as the owner of that ever yeah I once knew a word I forgot that means I am sorry we met and I wish you the same it sounds like your name but I haven't remembered it yet are they do you have examples of Limerick's today's national none that I say on the air really the only lyrics I never dirty yeah there once was an apron Izu who looked out through the bars and so are you do you think it's fair to give poor apes to scare I think it's a mean thing to do there once was a Martian name Zedd within ten I. all over his head I'd like to myself in the then a lot of DDT dash dot but nobody knows what he said anyway I get what's your problem is the funny thing is B. "This the DJB program Doug Stephan here with two people who have another great story to tell we're very concerned with our health we've been talking a lot about the people who have health issues and what that means if you're exposed to corona virus people with diabetes are very susceptible it seems to me for lots of different reasons so this story to be told in well by two different people who are withstanding the car is the senior director and brand leader in the insulin department Eli Lilly and company and doctor and Peters is here who is on the science advisory committee for beyond type one which I'm gonna start with you doctor Peters I'm guessing type one diabetes is the reference to my correct well all the people with diabetes type one and type two but yes it's called beyond type one and so what are we finding now in terms of connection I have a product that I talk about that aims to have people think about why so many folks who are overweight who are challenged because of the things that over being overweight does to your body so what are we talking about in terms of numbers here the people that I can be helped or need to be aware of how much more susceptible they are to covert nineteen than the average person number wise there's about thirty five million people a knighted states with diabetes and those who have diabetes get sick with covered nineteen end up doing work and so diabetes is a risk factor for poor outcomes but we also know that better control diabetes is better for you and you do better so that's why we're here is to encourage patients to do better in terms of treating their diabetes all right so how do they do that both you and Mr cari I think you probably weigh in on that how do we answer the call that you just created their doctor Peters first of all I want people not to despair and know that they have the ability to control their diabetes if they take their medication if they test their blood sugars in say eat in a good way and if they exercise so healthy good habits that they always will about I think they should be doing even more so now so they stay healthier all right doctor Connery what is Eli Lilly a doing to try to help the availability of insulin to people because I think there are shortages are there not of insulin so we've got no shortage of millions one whether it was pretty cold in nineteen our during this pandemic yeah we've seen certainly a significant increase in the amount of orders from wholesalers and things like that that's how we see it as a good sign and that people are following the advice of a people like Dr Peters and I are getting an extra prescription on hand perhaps or moving to a ninety day supply so we had no challenges with Williams one and don't anticipate any supply my mistake there I think I I had read a story and it wasn't it wasn't really I guess the idea we have so many shortages of so many things the good thing is we don't have a shortage of lily insulin so who is it that using this Mister Carr who are the people that qualify because they're different prices depending on what you can afford to pay right Sir Sir so we have the best option for individuals that are having.

"DJB clan I Doug Stephan with Jennifer wanted to carry a Cuban carousel in the epicenter of the or at least the next one New York City with all what's the number give us the numbers again and we're leaving Terry on well the numbers are constantly changing but we do know this that fifty eight more than fifty percent of the cases in the entire country are in New York City so obviously the content because content over forty thousand yeah in big concentration is in what they call down state so that's the five Manhattan the five boroughs Brooklyn queens Staten Island the Bronx that's where the the real clusters are and so governor Cuomo has started shifting some of the patients who are not you who can who can be transported they're gonna try to offset and move some of the patients to upstate New York hospitals which are right now not over burdened at all that and so many hospitals in in the five boroughs are just in really really bad shape in terms of supplies there are pictures of doctors wearing hefty trash bags in replace air in place of gallons because there just aren't there aren't supplies and they're wearing you know they're wearing masks that are supposed to be one per patient and they're just having to use them and reuse them and reset of ties them now it's it's it's it's a mess it really is missing fifty six percent of the cases are actually willing to back to New York so even the ones that are outside of New York state New York City out that they're actually they have links back to New York yep right so what's going on in Los Angeles the other side of the country the other big city there doesn't seem to use much action in Chicago it would seem I haven't seen a lot of focus on on sky August much as the other two big cities so LA is spread out more people can have their space more easily than New York but there still are plenty cases there right Jennifer yeah there are still a lot of cases that route that they're asking let me let me put the spin on it the immigration situation which has come to pretty much complete standstill what about the not custody fight so much but the the giving of help to people that are in the king and the president even a president saying we need to know who has it and who doesn't so that it doesn't your your immigration status does not matter if you go into a hospital to seek treatment if I don't think I think was something like this everybody needs to know why would you send people home to die I I don't think that that's who we are so I don't think that necessarily we can't make that an issue right now but the issue for California's been what to do with the homeless people because they're big government officials are very concerned that this is a community with over a hundred and sixty thousand people who are homeless in the state more probably more because I don't believe those accounts that are more of a multi line more home was dying I don't think not many have yet not we don't use right we don't know and not at this point I don't think anybody knows exactly but they're worried that this is a place because they're just not clean they're not washing their hands it could be a place that would really see through so they're actually using hotels now they're getting hotels that are closed down and that they're putting homeless people in those rooms almost essentially like a quarantine is not going to those rooms after they reopen the bakaly Milo finding the right way to put up and that's the best option at this point they have all the hotels are actually there a lot of hotels have opened up for first responders and nurses and doctors are doing that too want to sort of you know they have to see the patients and go back and forth in the hospital but they don't want to take it home to their families and so that's a wonderful thing that all a lot of hotels the four seasons and you'll tell and the list goes on and on it kind of keeps building every day which is great and all those hotels have opened their doors to that health care professionals which is so essential right now all right so New Orleans looks like it's gonna be the next epicenter of you see what's going on down there why are you crying yep yep the celebrations how can you be so stupid are there a lot of Mardi Gras was right around the time when this really started to like it we have it is terrakom regaining his see people going to the bars on Bourbon street stealth of Bourbon street shut down now that's two event time early in the weekend last weekend when people shouldn't own much better who is still going on is to look out of here in Louisiana the traveling through twenty past the hour on the overview of the news talk week.

"After the hour Doug Stephan with general one victory Q. in carousel and looking around at the various states my friend Mister Bailey out in Roseburg Oregon has sent me a note about what the Oregonians are during the governor has said all gatherings over two hundred fifty people bandit starting immediately or at least the next four weeks the same guidance for schools there SO that you know there's a lot of action steps and the politicians and bureaucrats are going to have to you know somehow rather again on the same page there's a lot of disorganization to this because it's something this new new rules and new situations the new realities but it isn't going to last I'm just looking at some of the other things here long care long term care assisted living facilities limitations by the board of health as to the number of people who can come in and I wonder if it wouldn't make sense at these you know how that they have those guns when you go into some big event now or in the restaurants and stuff then we have some here tell me the other day there's some kind of a little gun you pointed some his forehead you do you can tell what their temperature is yeah they're yelling at a Chinese restaurant in LA Chinese restaurants in New York City and that's no joke yeah I only Chinese restaurants because that's where the virus came from China in a Chinese restaurant in New York and come on it's pretty silly it's right I'm just saying that's what's happening no one size fits but did you find that I mean it's almost there's us there's a smirk that goes with that I guess maybe every restaurant should do the same thing hello can you imagine doing that a fast food joint if somebody that's going to a McDonald's and some guys will point a gun at you and see you know what whether you got a temperature or not and now a practical well listen everybody's gonna take shots trying to get into the national association of broadcasters has canceled their annual show which take place takes place every year in April gonzo well we're going to have it later you're a great much later than that I don't want their schedules disrupted because the weather gets to there on vacation and then people say oh we're going on vacation this year everything well it's like it's like your V. yeah it's like the the St Patrick's day parade has been officially canceled in New York City but they say that they're gonna just postpone it so it's like well who wants to celebrate St Patrick's day later seventeen to may yeah that's no not at all yet green slime maybe you get that and thrown around that's a good thing for well they get two million spectators for the parade every year so they cared yeah I guess they figured if they cancel it it's saving two million people from possibly getting infected right so does anybody really know what the travel ban as early as every they have guidelines there were some suggestions in that in the oval office speech about banning travel from Europe is that us going the error them coming here a plane going both directions the so this is going to stop flying what they get everybody out of there it doesn't include England or Ireland right now so of the Irish have no problems at all there's no they do not all schools are closed yeah they do right now all my family yeah my god mother and her boyfriend are thinking of going to their house in France because they want to get out of Ireland because there are so many cases now in Ireland it's about this is this is everywhere and it's going to be in France too so you know they have it they have they live they have a vacation house on an island off the coast of France and so that's really they want to go but then you're just on an island with everyone is going to happen anyway so yeah and so that no schools are close my little cousins are at home it's it's you know it's it's the same thing everywhere really so do you have any numbers Victoria although we don't believe in because as I've said every time we go over the numbers whether they're important or not at the Chinese numbers of forty times whatever they're telling us so yeah well it's a the number the number is eighty thousand cases in two hundred twenty one here's the latest number hundred global cases a hundred twenty one thousand ninety eight cases and four thousand three hundred sixty six deaths that's the the latest number that I'm seeing but again you we we don't know if China line or not who knows anything every it's it's there are cases in it Iceland doesn't agreement has none I'm looking at the map of the coronavirus Greenland safe most of Africa is safe and pretty much all of central and South America now have reported cases so so I'm gonna get released guy Dr this fellow here in Los Angeles it's on all the radio stations trying to set the record straight the lethal is it legal not legal what are the numbers at center at center at cetera he says the mortality for seasonal flu is point one percent one tenth of one percent the mortality for the virus is about two to two and a half percent but that's what people are is that he said that's what he was saying what is probably closer to one so it's still ten times more lethal than the seasonal flu that's the thing about how many people get it and what goes down the pike it's just I mean when you look at the numbers that way you realize what what how impactful the regular fluence if only one tenth of one percent of people who have the flu die and so far this year over thirteen thousand Americans have died of the regular flu wow how many people the flu can slow now why isn't it right because every year yeah you would think yeah I mean last year seventy six thousand Americans died of the flu and how many Americans have died so far this thing what fourteen or something I hate to admit it well it's a higher percentage per the I mean only get that I don't understand is that is the flu in every different country all over the world it's not South America they must do anything other than Australia we just see what happened with Tom Hanks is why did they bring it with them though that's the question I meant overcoming the flu flu because the reason the coronavirus a pandemic is because it's all over the world that's what actually makes it a pandemic I would I would think to do I mean I find others everywhere yeah I think so well Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have both tested positive the Australian government believes that they either contracted it on the plane on the way to Australia or they had it all ready and just didn't have symptoms until they got there so that they caught it somewhere in in Florida in Florida in it's California and so his movie set he's filming that Elvis biopic where he's playing colonel Tom Parker he's that's been shut down the Riverdale TV show on the CW that's been shut down said Mr no that's actually shocked in I wanna say Vancouver yeah seven Hoover LA then someone invented a I think it's yeah if that's where the film of the same kind of that and it's Vancouver yeah yeah and so Vancouver's got a big cluster of outbreak tale so I threw it probably end up seeing yeah I mean we'll end up online I talked to my pal Tucker who's up there filming that he's the lead in the new NBC show debris and he said they're going to be done in a couple of weeks with a pilot that they'd take about a month to get it all done well if somebody shows up on that set testing positive they're going to shut it down because that's how it that's how they're that's how they're handling all this my friend works in for a private equity firm in the city and someone in her office tested positive and like the whole building no one's allowed in the building until April really so every other and then the Olympics we retire all the sports things that are shutting down the Olympics what happens if that gets kicked off his you know all these athletes and reworking all this link yeah I am and they put it off for two years and what does that do the cycle of things why would they put it off for two years I guess with that and then more questions well every time we come up with something there are more questions about what we come up with and there are answers at this point because it's something that hasn't really been around for awhile at least taken this way here you go back to the sars thing which was the most recent prior to this and you can go back to some ten years before that and there was something there is bad information because everybody got to social media and everybody will have the new right every day is a different story there needs to be and that's why I just started going to the CDC website because at least you have one consistent message yeah but they're they're a bunch of bureaucratic black kids most of them have the courage they released one story otherwise if you're looking at social media your watch you know some people say oh it's no big deal some parts so here's what I heard I yesterday Jennifer simple self check we can do for ourselves every morning so everybody listen up to this this is what has been provided by if you want to take their word for it the experts in where they handed land I think the CDC's in Atlanta take a deep breath and hold your breath for ten seconds if you completed successfully without coughing without any discomfort with any stiffness no tightness it proves there is no fibrosis in the lung which is what will kill you the fibrosis is what causes or is tantamount to pneumonia as there's no infection if you can do all of those things so self check every morning in your in some place that has clean air that sounds like a pretty good advice the Japanese doctors that are treating this everybody should ensure their mouth and throat is moist never dry take a couple of sips of water every fifteen minutes even if the virus gets into your mouth drinking water or any liquid will wash them down through your esophagus into your stomach and your stomach acid will kill the virus you don't want it to get into your windpipe or into your lungs that's where the danger is so the more water you drink I have found myself I'd be you know when I'm on the air here I actually have a concoction of lemonade and there's some ginger in my drink that I have been T. and yeah it well but I'm always very always want my mother to be voiced about I think more it's it's you can bring anything but doesn't make so much sense where is coming from because this is literally the only advice that I have heard it besides washing your hands that makes any sense that's a practical application that everyone can do so props to you for actually delivering in useful information because I didn't get anything from the president I haven't gotten much from the CDC yeah but it is getting worse where did you get that because my dad gave me the same information yesterday and you guys will get an email well we both were was it yesterday together the day before no I don't think I'm trying to figure out where it was hold on just a second and I will find as he gave gifts six trips to the rear areas yeah you know what I have I pulled it off of the website yesterday afternoon I was looking at hold on just a second and I'll mail this information I need to send to my mom because my mom is very high risk and also she's got long is ours and she's diabetic just I don't know what I just told you yeah I watched all of this stuff it is I'm sure if you Google Japanese doctors in coalbed you'll come up with the same thing but I will look for the answers but I give you just Google that I'll do that for in the next minute or two as well well I remind you first doctor came crown house is all over the place is.

"Now thirty four after the hour on today's DJB program it's Doug Stephan with Jennifer horn Victoria Keelan carry Sheldon isn't it exciting they always get together every single day and we talk with authority we are the leaders the thought leaders of the country right discipline hard work has got us to this point and now we're just great until I get credit goes where credit is deserved I think that's actually I really am thinking about what the benefits are to keep you engaged in what we're talking about and one of the great ways of doing it is to talk about what you eat because we all love he'd love to talk about what leads over Kerry's get some food news here than we can chew on he ever I'm doing there yeah yes so very clever so if you are if you are someone who observes lands then chick fillet wants you to know that you can you can pop in and for their limited time until Easter you can get there fish sandwich that's a new thing that they've brought back early they do bring this back they they I think they did it last year for land and it was very popular and it's fried cod and so that's that you know if you obviously if you observe lent you don't eat meat but you can eat fish and so chick fillet having a religious sort of slant they I guess right that's the way to put it so they don't open on Sunday because the guy runs it doesn't want people to work on the lord's day exactly so now you can have on or use these options sounds yeah your Arby's has I saw an ad for Arby's last night and they would take a real shot rushed me out at what the fish add or just I don't know I haven't seen the fish what are we even got to meet one yeah now this is this was a fish thing it showed a McDonald's square piece of fish where fish is totally natural yeah right and then they have their fish that looks like a piece of fish and so they were touting the value of that okay so that's also a good place to go if you're observing lent yeah a lot of firsts for whatever reason maybe people are just you know all these restaurants are trying to get people excited for spring or something but Wendy's has a freebie going on now through April six on their app and you get a free honey butter chicken biscuit with the purchase and and using the app for a coupon that was to celebrate that it's to celebrate their national launch of breakfast because you know Wendy's is now in the breakfast room breakfast yep and one of them one of the best things anybody home anymore I'm not the only guy needs at home good rolling I mean LMAO the answer is no and and I think I just read a study that something like two thirds of Americans calories come from restaurant food now that's not answer this for me would you please ladies and then I'm gonna hire a queen because the size of your yard the new dairy queen yep yes very clean D. Q. so in honor of its eightieth birthday I did not know dairy queen has been around for eighty years but yes is there AT this year and so they have a buy one get one deal that's happening right now on blizzard's which are delicious so now through March fifteenth morning sure sure when you buy a blizzard you can get a second blizzard for eighty cents to honor of birthday wishes yes so why is it that these restaurants thank people want cheese on a fish sandwich what is more dis L. fish and so you know I don't know why you're leaving you put fish in chili okay puts fish and everything he's such a kitchen sink cooker everything but the kitchen sink goes into every recipe that doesn't make sense okay thank you but I doubt she's in fishers we're fish yeah Aqaba all right so now we have something a new the we've heard about the impossible burger now apparently there is impossible pork as the work is made from plants not pigs but why would anyone who's a vegetarian or vegan why would you even want the taste of pork like a lot it begins I haven't eaten anything on four legs since our high school I don't want the taste of beef I don't like the taste of port this I don't understand who this lady from heme which is a plant based just the name of it makes you discussed it with a plant based protein that mimics the texture and flavor of pork sorry so now they're going to bring in the impossible sausage to Burger King impossible burger that they had the impossible size don't has a Dunkin donuts has a fake sausage too but it's from their yawned company so there's impossible company in beyond meat so they have the beyond sausage sandwiches sausage though haven't they forever no they have the impossible Whopper too is done then bird that is impossible I mean that no side Windies your timer Wendy serving breakfast don't they have some kind of an impossible sum on there I don't know and I don't know but I don't I know the chicken is there is there is an impossible checking HM yeah there is it's gross yeah it's like robbery it's just it's the rubber chicken Robert J. can near the one membership thanks for going for a century and yet now they want to make rubber chicken like it takes the same thing it's growing up all these politicians all laughter you all hear the politicians talk about all the rubber chicken that the weather on the road but they have yeah they're all Robert and things yeah hi we continue our focus on food in the farm with the the old bay seasoning company watching a new hot sauce McCormick and company spice purveyor they make old bay I've I even I know that I have all been my seasoning thing I don't ever use it but I was also old news like yeah we're only about a month by now talk about this a month ago is this guy for you is a good way this is good for you yeah there's a lot of the sinuses yes hi here's something you haven't heard then I'm sorry that was months behind them cosmic crisp apples they're still good there is so delicious have you tasted them they are really good yeah I mean there try to get out of the ones I've had there like bigger than your head but we modified their own man and by the way yeah like made in a lab has found like the other ladies are that worried about it being a genetically modified that's how all the apples things come into their they're all you know what they do is they take a twig off of one tree and they put it on another tree and they have the through that they are marginalized and and in that way they become even more than that it's at the C. level high they splice the seeds and yeah they took a seat from some apple that is are larger and then they mixed it with the a smaller one that was sweeter and then that's how they they got the crispy it's officially known it was a product of work research at Washington State University watchin stays where they grow lots and lots apples it's officially known as W. A. thirty eight I can that when you go into the store I'm going to ask the clerk may I have some W. A. thirty eight apples please get taken care of like something from a sci fi movie the matrix yeah right anyway because because I have not ever tasted one run a look for him now that I see that there are eat honey crisp I do yeah they're kind of similar to Honeycrisp they're just I don't know a little bit more I wanna yeah part time it's got about twelve of them on his kitchen table right now I want a firm sweet apple it's you see that's what I want I don't want that so I can touch is awful we'll make it as adults are ours and anything else that soft is nothing worse than biting into a soft apple the lines are not soft so not a nice a nice site yeah when you buy other scientifically engineered to stay crispy and have added up all right I need a high standing was beer to their delivery service you know that slice of pizza and cold beer how much of a factor I always wonder about we talk about the delivery services now and was it the other day retire when ninety percent markup on some of the addresses those right so yep Pizza Hut does anybody order from Pizza Hut they might even either first of all I love usually a hot Pizza Hut within an hour of me here Jersey I don't know why and there are there aren't any in New York it are in in Manhattan either I I don't know I don't know what so now you can add an ice cold beer the two I thought it was in perfect sense it does is there a law against delivering beer though in some states yeah single huh yeah I would have thought that you can deliver alcohol I just found out from AmazonFresh year house waiting room but you have to have an adult who will sign for it her okay let's see since they started in Phoenix with this and now it's expanding nationwide and let's see you've got well I mean this makes sense you're not going to send a follow of beer if you're not licensed to the mini pizzas have beer licenses I guess that's the idea that the bottom line right I don't at the ones near me don't they're like walk ins you kind of you know just walk in and pick up but you can see the hot restaurants when I was it yeah yeah restaurants around here yeah you can get your choice of Budweiser bud light shock top and kilt lifter what is that and even though that it must be local Shakhtar docs out of I know because my brother works that muster craft beer I must admit your guilt yes what happens like kind of a fruity like ours like bloom I'm gonna play the devil's advocate here okay I'm a parent and I've gone out and the kids call pizza in order you do would you just say you got to be eighteen yes on the phone who will sign or you have to have someone who's over twenty one designed for they do check your idea I don't think any of them I don't know how that works is I have an order number the delivery drivers are going to hand you a beer right you're obviously a team but I you know so I. D. because they're not responsible for that yeah I ordered champagne from Amazon fresh and I was having my Christmas party and they made sure you had to have some inside so my mom had to come over and sign for it what is your house she didn't ask cries could you not sign up for it this last Christmas no I because I wasn't home okay I was like did they not twenty one yeah well normally I just have Amazon just leave the stuff on my doorstep but this time they say oh no you have to have someone sign really in N. out burger is growing Jennifer big time they've expanded they were basically a southern California deal right they've been in business sixty some odd years and then now are expanding exist anywhere beyond California yeah now there in Nevada Texas Arizona in the wild again the opening up of fifty new spots in Colorado as the one with all that weed consumption that said not to send it out is just good it's why his burger go well with weed munchies snacks mmhm really shares you learn all of this before you start kind of like a weed off of your farm I'm not the only way the weeds not coming on my phone where of retail distributor where growers and and okay well if you're gonna be in the weed they should know the one thing about weed is that it gives you munchies yes I just eventually there should know that like everyone knows that really only the opposite of what the city because they are I am doing at all the water the fiber of the exercise but I still have constipation with belly pain straining and bloating that keep coming back my doctor said that I may have a chronic medical condition called irritable bowel syndrome with constipation or IBS C. Linzess linaclotide is a prescription medication that treats adults with IBS with constipation winds S. helps relieve belly pain and let you have more frequent and complete bell movements individual results may vary do not give.

HIV well let's talk about the results of the survey doctor very Penner's with this executive director of the prevention access camping and doctor Peter Scolari who is the director of clinical research at Merck research laboratories as I said world aids day is coming up the first of November next Monday and we want to get an overview of all of this so let's start with you doctors Clark tell us the situation as it exists the kind of research that's being done it to work on this because I think a lot of people I do think that the aids problem at least in America is over no thanks we really appreciate this opportunity to talk to you died and so America's very proud to have partnered with the prevention access campaign on a new initiative known as owning HIV young adults and the fight ahead and what were rolling out here today in coordination with world aids day is the results from a first of its kind survey that really took a look at the perceptions and beliefs about HIV amongst young adult certainly a group within the U. at that has a rising incidence of HIV infection at this point all right so let's talk to Murray Penner the prevention access campaign is what just what is this Mister Penner the prevention act that campaign is a organization that is focused on spreading that the information about undetectable equals and transmittable what that is is some of the new advancements in science where if you are living with HIV and you take her medications daily which are required to do it in order to be inherent and you can suppress your virus the virus in your body to such a low level that it can't be detected by most tasks and that's called undetectable and if you are undetectable you are an transmittable meaning you do not transmit the virus to your sexual partners and so it's a revolutionary advancement in science that really does help erase the stigma associated with HIV which is something in our survey that we're talking about today we found we found a lot of the young people in this survey still have a lot of stigma related to HIV in fact a quarter of the HIV negative millennials who responded to our survey indicated that they had avoided contact with somebody who is HIV positive and a third of the individuals in our survey actually said in the future they would avoid social interaction with someone who is living with HIV so lot of work to do yeah this sixteen hundred people between the ages of eighteen and thirty six there were participating in this so the level of basic bottom line here it looks like to me Mister Penner is that the level of HIV knowledge among these people is pretty low at the end of the factual the number the amount of factual information is pretty low AS out we found some real knowledge gap and it's important that we change that that's what this campaign is about we are about making sure that we're disseminating information about HIV so what is the what's what's the what do we go ahead you want to talk for a second I'm just gonna go ahead not sure I I just wanted to have you one of the other areas that we picked up within the survey here so in addition to serving those who are living with HIV in it it reviews you know some of the facts related to it here and there you know half of that sixteen hundred patients were HIV negative young adults and certainly there was great concern among that group with two thirds of them actually ranking HIV is among the sexually transmitted diseases they were most concerned about yeah that was really a disconnect and it sort of shows where we need to do increase levels of knowledge spreading but with two thirds of them having that as a greedy greatest concern actually less than half of them took steps that could prevent them from getting HIV routine things like wearing condoms actually taking perhaps at the medication something you can take every day actually to prevent yourself from getting HIV is this from people who are there when you say prep that's something I'm guessing Merck is responsible for developing is this something that anybody or everybody should take and that is worried about to sexually transmitted diseases are just for HIV yeah it's actually not a product that murder specifically involved in in fact our interest here in the survey really goes back to our thirty years of being involved in the academic but there are specific guidelines as to who should take crap and how do you find those where do we get more info on all of this stuff maybe they send us and our listeners to some a website where they get more info on this so you can go to owning HIV dot com for more information about our campaign others there's information there about about the survey results and we will continue to be releasing more information on the on the results of the survey yeah this is a this implies certainly is again December first is world aids day SO congratulations I guess are in order for the work being done here doctor Peter Sklar from American Mary Penner of from the prevention action campaign ten before the hour news talk.
