"Gave pinson added. Max strouss in here. But honestly i consider max druce more of a small forward but he can certainly play shooting guard. So i guess we'll atom here for that list but in terms of point guards. You really only have gave. Vincent isn't even a true point. He he's more of a. You know a defensive point defensive-minded guard who could choose like three d. guard. But you know that. Three point shot has been inconsistent. And i'd like what. I saw from game vincent last year in terms of his defensive potential like he is a dog on that side of the ball. And you know womb will make a lot of different players work in the nba. Like he's not a perfect defender but he's a hard worker he can move his feet very quick And and just gets in the right positions at the right time now in terms of help defense positional defense. He lacks a little bit in those departments. But when you're talking one on one you want him to lock someone down. He can certainly do that now. In my opinion it's gonna all come down to three point shooting with pretty much every single person on this. Ross on this guards list if you can hit the three point shot you're going to be valuable to this team because you need to. The floor needs to be spaced. In order for jimmy butler and bama bio to do their work. That is the only way this is gonna work. And i'm not concerned with hero or robinson and not even lower because i feel like the last thing that would go for him his jump shot and for him to shoot almost forty percent from the three point line on just over seven attempts a game and he's been suiting over seven attempts to game for the past six seasons. So you know he likes to shoot them any makes them with free good efficiency and other the two years before that were in the thirty five percent range. We certainly don't want to see that if we can get the way he was doing it to three years before that which was thirty nine pretty much forty forty one and then thirty nine. That's what we would love to see. You know seven plus. Three's a game at about a forty percent clip. That would be incredible. From kyle lowry and i expect it to happen because you have a lot. More guys are going to draw attention away from him which will allow them to get more looks. And you know the way that spoelstra likes uses point guards. I feel like you'll be able to do a lot of creative things with lowering. Get him a lot of open. Looks and let them plane space. And i i just feel. It's a great fit it just everything the kyle lowry is about just screams miami culture and i feel me and that's going to work out so now talking about huron robinson. I'm really not worried about their three point shooting now. Of course the other parts of their game that needs to be addressed. There were times last season. When he wro- robinson none and drug would cycle through being considered the heat's warts defensive players. You know doug robinson got a bit better towards the end of last season which gives me a little bit of hope that you know especially with his size. His length and strength he'll be able to at least be average on that defensive end and you know of course you put that together with his three point shooting. He is an extremely valuable player. There's a reason he was paid five years. ninety million. i mean this guy is one of the best three point shooters in the nba. So you're going to be expecting you know ten three pointers a game. At north of forty percent anything less than that and it's considered a disappointment from duncan robinson. I mean that's kind of expectations. He put himself because of how good he played over. The last two seasons. I know last year was a bit of an inconsistent year for him but he's still shot over forty percent that is still very solid. But that's the kind of three point. Shooter duncan robinson has pretty much shown to be a guy who can just absolutely shoot lights out yet a historic catch and shoot season two years ago when he shot over forty five percent from three point land overall and it was some crazy clip like forty seven percent or forty six percent on catch and shoot triples which is the best in. nba history. In front of the splash brothers. So you know. He's an incredible three point shooter. And that's going to be as best value to the team now when you talk about tyler hero. He comes into a season now. Where obviously last year compared to his rookie season. It was not the same yes. Technically his numbers looked better. He went from averaging thirteen and a half points a game to fifteen on better field. Goal percentage worse three point percentage but there was something about just the way he was going about it in just just the way it looked. It just didn't feel the same as rookie. Tyler hero like. He had a slump in his sophomore season. And of course you have to attribute that to to injuries that he was dealing with the shortest off-season or second-shortest offseason in nba. History has a lot to do with it. But you know of course you want to see improvement. And he's certainly did. Have you know parts of his game where he improved like getting to the basket. I felt like he was able to do that a bit. More this season. You know he's a little more comfortable with the nba defenses. And he's able to get to the line a little bit more but overall you need to see that confidence from him again and now that he gets put into a role this season where he is clearly the sixth man. And i'll talk more about lineups in that third segment. But you know this. This season is really shaped up to be. You know tyler. Heroes breakout season. I i know you did that in the playoffs. And the bubble you know in twenty twenty but this was. This is really the year that you've got to expect how the hero to really break out. He's officially the sixth man. There's nobody in his way he's the guy that's gonna be coming off the bench. Probably i every single game and expected to play with the starters and get buckets like the and i feel like i hear this all the time that his role has been simplified. He knows what he needs to do now to come off the bench and just be you know an instant spark plug microwave and into score points for them you know. He's been working on the off season so an end the reports. I've heard have been very encouraging for tyler hero. So i'm excited to see what we get from him in his third year the league i have not lost hope in him. I'm sure he's going to be a very solid player in his career but we do need to see a bit more and to me though one reason why he struggled just a bit is because of course confidence.

"Thirty nine point six percent three is really good he shoots a very good besides three consistently and he likes to shoot a three right. So that's only gonna add to whatever exposure likes to do live dribble handoff. And that's only gonna help because he can shoot basically from any kind of situation offhand. Dos drill me off ball screens cash. Shoot you know pulling in transition. That's only going to help the miami heat from that angle too. Because they're gay guy at least it's gonna continue to add to the three point shooting and that was something. They struggled with plausible been. That's where the struggle at times in the regular season came a little dependent on dunkin. Robinson gonna take less pressure of doug robinson to be the only consistent three point shooter and pressure off tyler hero to be consistent three point. You're off the bench having another guy who can really shoot the three and shoot it insured. Any way is only going to put more pressure on the defense to have to adjust and pay attention to a guy like kyle lowry. So that's a big benefit. They're going to get from him. Being at three point shooter that i think really can help his team in a positive direction and again the nba's about three point shooting right so the more consistent three points years get in how they can create their own shot in how they can do it. The better right. The nba sky turned to gore base leak. Having the ability to shoot and shoot consistently is something that is so valued upon. Because they look at guys like steph curry damian lillard klay thompson trae young. Look at the way. These guys can shoot the basketball. That only helps adds value of guys. Like cow larry playing on a team that likes to shoot the three like rather rather offense to get three point shots through constant motion. So that's all that's gonna help that. Sue and again. You don't have to rely on the constant motion to Shot and get into a three point shot as well so that also as after tip so now in terms of where i see. Miami miami has the better position But this doesn't make them a championship team by by no stretching immagination and makes them more of a team that you know you have to wracking because they have you know three legitimate stars in their team now. But they're not i. They're there for their august second round team the best in the eastern conference in my opinion. So that's kind of way. I look at it and analyze it from that lens. Because they just don't have enough star power beat teams like milwaukee. I land personally better than still. I think that brooklyn's definitely better and you can argue phillies better right. So like so the there'll be a team that can compete to try in the second row but it all really depends on how these guys play in. How good the other guys. That are the role players. Make the adjustments. So that's how it is to. Where's that quick commercial break. But when i come back to talk about what the dallas mavericks need in free agency all backup when we return tired of searching the.

"Guys are like barely rose barely. Mba much less rotation guys. And i you know they. There's a little bit of a reckoning with the celtics team. I think because they've had a lot of traffic over the last couple of years. They went all in on that. You know giving a ton of money to horford and kyri and hayward then having the two young guys and they had this window and now the windows. Kinda over brown and tatum encumber the three expensive guys And none of those rookies have really turned into impact guys even as bench. Guys you know whether grant would prob. Yeah whether grant williams can do it. Maybe but you know every air. It's like hero. You look at just miami two drafts. That are obama and hero or two drafts three years and they just were never able to ahead on any of those draft picks whether they did it this year. I don't know. But i i think they will be better as we get to the end of the season. I don't think this is a fifty two win team. Which is what that over under. So i'm going under Next one is miami so you know forty three and a half for the over under that gets you to a fifty one and thirty one season their minded stranger for the division plus seven hundred for the conference twenty two one to win the title and the case for them being better this year would just be hero and and doug robinson be better You know the guys that moved in and out. I think they're going to miss crowder at mr malleability with him The ability go little small and whatever but for the most part whatever carcasses in now and every bradley's iguala they get him for full year. They'll be fine. I the the reason. I'm going over as i think. Robinson and hero will be better this year and i do think this is a top three team in the east. I think it's a really good team. So i'm gonna go slight over for them. What do you have us. I'm also going over This is a recurring theme with me with the top of the east. I haven't taken an under yet but this miami team to me speaking of dark horse you know. Don't sleep on them. Franchises that might try and add a super duper star and really put their foot down in an effort to try and win the nba title this year. That's pat riley. That's this miami team. They do have pieces. I agree with the assessment that they're developing players are are going to be better and i also think that they did a good job of shopping. I think that that you know harmless and avery bradley will both fit in the what spoelstra wants to do. I think they're good additions. Kendrick nunn is a is a good defensive player You know they're they're they're well conceived and deep across the board so i like the miami over priscilla. I was really curious to see with number. Would come out at and in vegas nails it again or they're not freaking out about the making the finals last year because they were a forty nine win pace team in a normal season last year There's an argument to be made that it's it's one of the weaker teams that have made an nba finals. So do we just go. Oh wow they made it to. Finals compete for championship. Actually got a couple of games off the lakers. Even with all those injuries. Now everybody's back in healthy like this team's going to vegas doesn't see it that way. But that's why. I think the values in this number at fifty winds go for it. I would bet the over here now when we talked about denver jamal murray showed us a version of himself that he had never been before. Butler also did that last year and is he. He's not gonna be like the frontier regular season in his true shooting stuff from who. He wasn't a playoffs too. He wasn't a regular season. I mean he couldn't hit a shot from outside last year the regular season and then he just a all world and it turns into this. How can people have butler outside of the top five or top ten like oh because of all the other years last year was probably the second best season of his career. Will he be that same guy. Probably i mean look. Let me rephrase it. He'll be just as motivated. Because it's jimmy butler. That's his dna. But i don't know if the shooting and all that stuff's going to add up but look at where they're at i. I like the number being lower going say team like boston. It's still getting a couple of wins higher their projection manley fair with the over in wi. I waffled on it. A little bit was just. We were so close to the end of last season. And you know they. With the bubble combined with four playoff rounds and the physicality is some of those games and then eight weeks later. We're back the lakers are in the same position. Miami does have. Anthony davis lebron james. And i worry about them holding up physically which is why i wouldn't bet this but i they're just going to be so good as a shooting team especially drudge back. I really felt like. I know you said are forty nine win team last year. I thought the team that ended round three was not forty. Nine win team anymore actually thought they they tapped into something that is going to translate to this season like that the they just kinda learned how to play with each other and And i don't know the collective basketball and this of of who they have whatever no brings all that stuff i think. What if what. If hero is way more stable as a player and lights it up you know what if what if duncan is passable on defense. More heartless isn't going to be as aggressive as crowder probably as an offensive decision maker but what. Avery bradley covers now for drug. It's where he doesn't feel he's worn out all the time. So yeah. there's there's way. I'm i'm with you and i'm not trying to diminish what that run was because that was a special run. What the group did. They just came together But i think there's way more way more ways to spin this into a positive about where they're where they're headed and they have to look at every every one of these teams always feel like i'd like a little bit more depth. I mean you know. Look that's the problem. You're gonna have nine guys you're in love with always kind of liked tarkwa. Saas me too. I'm i'm i'm excited to see him. Don't know he's one of those guys. I've always been waiting for him to find the right team. And now i think he's been on about eighteen. Months had very patient. He acted really patient. You're one of the celtics. Get him next. One is Toronto which is forty two and a half that translates to about fifty plus four forty win the division pushing fifty for the conference plus five forty not to make the.

"Get projects smarter, faster and easier. Welcome to today's Home Depot. How doers Get mortgage done. Some of these scores air interesting. Florida, Texas and him tied at 31 in the fourth quarter. North Carolina had a huge lead on Virginia Tech and now it's down to 5 40 to 37, Missouri. Hanging with l s u 41 38. In Oklahoma beating Texas by 14 31 17 in the Red River Shootout, Joe the still the biggest story, I think today is the end of a game last night and I we've talked a lot about what it meant. For LeBron not to take the shot and all that, but I just have a more fundamental question. You think he can win this series? I mean, it's probably unlikely we see Goran Dragic. Uh, when you look at Jimmy Butler's had amazing performances, but if we're being honest, Doug Robinson had a really good last game. Heroes had one good game. But some of these other guys haven't been consistently great yet. They're still in it. You could read that one of two ways like they're probably not gonna have another amazing butler game. Or you could say if all these dudes they still haven't played a great game yet, and they're still in it. Where do you come out on it? They can absolutely win this. Siri's now are the odds in their favor. No, obviously because they're down three games to two, but they can absolutely win this Siri's. They've already pushed the Lakers harder than anyone had pushed them prior to this. Detroit got one, Denver got one and Houston got one, and that was it. There were a lot of blowouts in that Siri's, but the reality of the situation is this heat team does not go away. They don't know how to quit. They don't know how to give up. They don't know how to roll over. Alligator blood is tape. Teddy KGB would say alligator blood. They keep hanging around hanging around and you give him these opportunities. They're going to seize upon them, and that's what they did last night. That's what they did down two games to none when everyone was just overlooking them. And then boom. They fired back. And Jimmy Butler had that 40 point triple double, which led to another win. Now again, is it likely? Myron? No, but they've given this team a fight. They're very well coached. They've got superstar talent. They can hang with the Lakers. What the Lakers are realizing is that when you run too deep, and the rest of the team can't be counted on a regular basis, you're going to run into trouble against well coached teams that have some balance. Matt. What do you think it is? Because I'm guilty of this, too. And not believing in a team that beat the number one seed Milwaukee Bucks. Wait, the Boston Celtics and now here they are three to against the Lakers. Like what would it take for us to believe that the Miami Heat have an actual chance? I I'm with you. I don't know why. I mean, sometimes I look in the mirror and try to just address myself and I say self. What is it about you that is not doing extra wide. One of things, I say itself. Why don't you believe in the Miami heat? Because I was convinced against Milwaukee that Milwaukee was going to come back. I mean, lookit Johannes is so good that Miami is going to get cold. When it comes to Boston. I was convinced Look I know they're down 31. But these guys are gonna get hard. It's the Celtics come on, and the exact same thing here. I assumed, you know this has been a nice story, but they're going to get swept. I think it's because Joe that at least for me, I've had to recalibrate how I number one. Look at Jimmy Butler. I didn't consider Jimmy Butler a star and I'm of the opinion. You have to win a title. You have to have a star. It's only happened really once when that hasn't happened, and that was that Pistons team. And then I think the second thing for me was I just looked at those role players and I think I downplayed their toughness. It just was. I didn't give enough credit to the fact that even though he went D three, Duncan Robinson would hit big shots that Tyler hero could be a rookie, but still not scared that Jae Crowder still had something left in him. I think that's what it was for me. But I can't help but now say they're right there with a shot to win a championship. I think what it is for most people is that when it comes to the embassy, people are programmable. It's a programmable sport. What I mean by that is your program to believe LeBron James will be in the finals because he's been in the finals. What 10 of the last 11 years your program to know who the good teams are. You were told the Warriors would be good. You were told the Clippers would be good. You were told Boston would be good. You hear the narrative over and over and over again, and you believe it. No one ever told anybody that Miami was going to be good. Even when they tried to tell you With that great home record, they went ahead and counter produced on the road by having a terrible road record. It's the exact same reason why so many people can't bring themselves to the point where James has surpassed. Michael Jordan is the greatest of all time. Because you have a group of people a large group of people that for 20, plus years have been programmed into believing that Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player that ever lived, and that's largely true, But now those same people. Because we fear what we don't understand, are watching something play out in front of their very eyes every single night, and they have to find ways to cut it down because they can't accept the truth. That's in front of him. White James takes more heat than anyone. James shouldn't have passed last night. You should have taken the shot. He made the smart basketball player last night, but you got to cut him down. Now. Danny Green makes that shot. You know, the narrative is James didn't want it. Danny Green had to win the title for him much like Ray Allen had to win a title for him in Game six. Back in 2013. There's always going to be a way to cut down LeBron James because people fear the idea that he has surpassed their beloved God. Michael Jordan as the greatest of all time yet if it's easy to make assumptions about LeBron James Considering who he's faced, right. You always expecting to get to this moment, but he's gonna lose. You're like OK Tim Duncan and Kwai Lin er on the other side, Dirk is they're all he's got to get through Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. So there's almost none of this built in understanding of He's really good, but he's facing an incredible opponent. You don't have that in this series, fellas. You've got a team in Miami that has played incredible basketball. But you're looking at a squad that might not have a guaranteed Hall of Famer. I don't know what Jimmy Butler do from here. But that's the kind of team when you look at him ago. Oh, James will steamroll that team, So you just assume that he'll find a way The difference Making in this series is that we know Miami can keep things close and.

"Twenty six points. Are you kidding me Oh my what a night yet Doug Robinson scored twenty six points in the NBA finals is about as Probable as it gets, and then there we are in the moment where it's either going to be something we see for the rest of our lives or war, it's going to be something that Lakers fans be mon possibly forever. But probably not to they still got two games to close this thing out but it is swing swing Danny Green. One of the great finals three point shooters of all time. At the top of the key. All alone chance to ice it give the Lakers, another championship and instead. Cranks off now you get a weird rebound Marquis Morris throwing the ball out of bounds I mean. It's it's just so close like the thing that we didn't get in this game was that like signature shot because you think about the the Bucket Center scored down the stretch of this game. It's like frigging airball Anthony Davis Book Bag. It's Lebron bully ball all the way to the basket baller believe all yeah. It's Jimmy Butler bully ball you know doesn't finish but gets I. Guess you had the one you had. You had the big. Three. from Dunkin Robertson no less after I thought Jimmy Butler should've gotten the end one. Now it didn't end up making a difference, but that was a one point game. Butler finished on a shot they didn't give him continuation. Already going into the shooting motion nevertheless, it didn't end up hurting a Donkin Robinson it that three but you typically in a game like this where it is like back and forth there's like some kind of big shot or big moment that you remember I honestly I. Don't know if I'm going to remember Danny Green being wide open and clanking that I I might remember Markeith Morris Chuck in that ball out of bounds you know what I mean like, but there wasn't really that play. That's the only thing though that we missed out on because we saw two of the greatest individual performance is you could ever see even if I if one of the guys did it, it would go down in finals lower but instead one guy did it on either side and frankly Jimmy Butler got a little more help tonight than Lebron did in. That was one of the big differences tonight, Jimmy Butler obviously, just heroic tonight thirty, five points eleven assists twelve rebounds five steals just did it all in the first half of the screening actions Miami ran with Butler as the screener on the role the Lakers. Had A hard time with that end of the game on the ball could not be stopped Lebron James Tonight Anthony Davis they did not get the help that they needed from their teammates Lebron AD tonight combined for sixty eight points on twenty four, thirty, six, sixty, seven, percent shooting everybody else you mentioned the Danny Green missed the end in the Markeith Morris turnover forty points fourteen of forty, six shooting in only thirty percent from the field butler God, the help that he needed creating for others. Lebron James in this tonight did not he just didn't help was needed. Imagine if there was somebody out there that. Didn't love the Lakers three through eight players and didn't didn't like well, that was constructed that would be strange right? Like that would be odd if there was somebody that was on a podcast every single week one that got be raided greatly for not loving disappointed cast of the Lakers. And we do have a special guest a we do have a special guy. He doesn't eat out now I'm going to attack him right watch this attack our boss right off the bat. Bill was right there with me. He didn't love the supporting cast either right I listened to you and re Sillo and I thought you kinda backed off of it I. Thought You Kinda started be okay with their supporting cast but I was glad they hit the bed the night honestly you know they played really well the other day it was hard to attack the supporting cast Lemay today it was a big act. Lebron has to be bummed out 'cause the stage was set for this everything believable closing game. WHO's GonNa have like forty thirteen, seven. I thought he was going to take the game winning shot regardless of whether the double team or not but he made the right play like Yo is Dana Green Gac did What? Marquee. Boris did you guys talk about? What was he doing I? Think he was trying to throw it down to a D wasn't he chokes that's what he was doing the game. This is a great question I say, I'll give you. I'll give you this to van Gundy even brought it up. About him being in the game. Like what's going on here because and the reason being gundy brought it up is because they were trying to switch him. They were getting the switch every time. There was getting that switch onto him. So it's like it's Kinda, like Yo if the guy is obviously getting picked on defensively and that's what they wanna get to with Jimmy. Butler. I mean, are you expecting to hit some kind of massive clutch shot on the other end like what's the point here? You might have some better options well, the reason I wanted come on I thought that was an Alzheimer Unit I don't know what you guys I did not intend to come on crash your podcast I just wanted somebody to talk about it with. An insane game and you know there's been some great duels over the years right like Dominique and bird grownup.

"You have a little post keeps screaming where he died. We run back another screen. Hope they switched he is an inch. He's he's pulling up he can fade he hit shots on the Move. That's why like I'm not as quick though that somebody in the in this in the stuff like dog needs to do come off a lot of action. We talked about that before at Vanderbilt, but I don't know if necessarily there's a perfect fit there that that's his mold. Yeah, I think Naismith probably the closest one that I've seen, you know, somewhere between six foot five and six foot six 6:10 wingspan has size does have the quick-release does get his feet set. The biggest difference though between Doug Robinson and the general floor spacer is kind of something you alluded to their Duncan can just get more shots off than other guys because it's releases so quick and because he's so good at setting his feet so quickly off. There isn't really a guy in this class that I think does that at his level and look he's gotten better at it since he left Michigan. By the way, funniest thing in the world to me is that he came off the bench for this Michigan team that went to the office NCAA finals with Isaiah livers and Muhammad Ali abdur-rahkman and the starting lineup like Devin Booker was a six-man. We'll get to that a minute. Yeah, like the guy that probably stands out the most to me as just like a super ridiculous high-level shooter is Sam Merrill actually have Sam Merrill as a top forty guy now in this class because he's ability to shoot and just get rid of guys as an off-ball spacer is kind of ridiculous like you go back not in his senior year but to his junior year they played Arizona State in Las Vegas. I remember correctly one of those empty. He's he made lewd or it look bad like he made lewd or genuinely looked terrible in that game and Ludo game. Is very quickly emerged as one of the better defenders in the NBA now the difference between Sam Merrill and lewd or is that Earth's and Maryland? Duncan Robinson is that Duncan is probably two or three inches bigger than Sam Merrill and there is a very real kind of value to having a guy who's six foot seven that can do this versus someone. That's somewhere between six foot four and six foot five doing this is he? How old is Santa he twenty-three Sam Merrill is 24 24. Okay, which by the way I believe is how old Duncan Robinson was when he got to the NBA. Okay good spin-off. I thought when you said Sam Merrill thought you were going to say when he met like Iceland in the that shot over the top cuz you watch Malachi flow tapes are religiously wage. Ya know that it definitely plays into it. And I touched on there too. Does the age matter? I mean you had a tweet about all rookie team to see your me first TV off. 23 year olds and a twenty-five-year-old containment between two year old and a twenty-three year old we talk about Excluding terrible Terry controllers twenty three iPhones 22 Wednesday temperature both 22 to 1..

"Basketball podcast. Greatest, podcast NBA The he went insects accessory predicted by the way and. He Lakers what do you think? I think that first off poaching in the NBA. Horrible. I think that SPOELSTRA has out coach everybody grand circles around him. I think Doc rivers got what Doc rivers should have got about ten years ago. Right? You're not a doc rivers fan I lost. I he's fine. He's a nice guy. I guess I don't know. But as a coach, I've watched him and I'm just down NBA coaching I just think spoelstra outmaneuver everybody I have a hard time believing set Greenberg anybody's going to beat the heat. Our excuse me I'm sorry we're going to beat the Lakers on the branch to me. I've said this before in your little bit older than me. So maybe you saw Oscar maybe you saw well I did not. But I I've said always cream diligent Jabbar Michael, Jordan to best I've ever seen but I tell you man Lebron's moving in there for me says my God what this guy's I know the NBA. Is a much easier game now I do you know I always said this about steph curry he's great but him going to the basket and sashaying like he does and then talking smack. I would have liked to seen him do that in the eighties and nineties where you Almost died from elbow from Carl Malone, you'd have make some business decisions. So get all that. But in my opinion I'm GonNa take the Lakers but my God, the heat passing everybody in terms of scheme cutting moving screeners getting shots. And Doug Robinson was my son Andrews Roommate, their best friends Swat root for him but I can't see the Lakers losing our screw. I think coaching I think good coaches in the NBA, are really good and I like I like I kind of disagree I think that the big part coaching obviously dealing with Egos and the chemistry team. That's most times put together by someone else besides the coach i. Let me answer that the real quick what team has good chemistry sides he. I think the Lakers went with the teams have good chemistry where the roles are defined and the person that put together a team. Coaching. Clinics. It's easier at's to say that. Chemistry. Too Easy to say that there's no coaching the NBA. Head coach. They don't adjust Utah Zone Adam and it's like, did you see the cell a best coaching? College basketball few years ago was Brad Stevens. Juicy, the Celtics disintegrate, and then Kyrie's fault now. Again I think that they don't see a lot of that that they had some success against his own, and then what happens I thought Spoelstra made a great move going man and then go back to the zone because you know what it's like anything else later game later, a heavier legs more pressure the the shots that they made early in the movement step ahead early let the heat zone who so much more active in fourth quarter wasn't first-quarter. Close not even close how act they screamed at the top. So didn't have that to on the ball. They bumped back quicker or they stayed abuser shooter. I think that you under appreciate the coaching in the NBA and the preparations the changes in I. Stopped the Mohican Sun Coach's clinic. Now. It's easy you. Need the cut eatable bomb maybe that's it right there. That's that's. Control, your controllables. Okay. Great and all the little coaches download just. About Actual in game coach. Is Horrendous. There is literally I watched a guy. I had a conversation with nate McMillan I said nate talking about switching on different? No, we don't switch on the okay. Well, you're an idiot the bull switched on defense with Michael Jordan. So nate McMillan needs to go. I think it's horrendous and I didn't think it was these guys have ninety, seven, thousand people on their payrolls they have analytics all this crap and I gotTa. Tell you I think it's I think it's clogged the brain of smart coaches I'm telling you it's awful it. Kid I know how we think we can agree to disagree because. I watch NBA I see guys do really really good jobs and you know what? Question of jobs open, who would you hire? If I were going to hire a guy in the NBA I would hire somebody that can think for themselves. I would hire somebody. That is a little bit innovative and I'm GonNa tell you. I got absolutely no idea who the hell that would be. If,.

"Guards in transition. If he's WANNA pull up from three or take it all the way to the rack, either way mammaries and incredible point guards specifically in transition speaking of another game seven type atmosphere I thought that this heat celtics game four was a game seven same reasons. If you're the heat, you don't WanNa tie to to with the Celtics giving them all the momentum. And if you're the Celtics, you obviously don't want to go down three one while the game happened Miami Heat Win One hundred and twelve to one hundred and nine an absolute incredible game. Once again, the Heat Celtics series I think is giving us the best games. It's close to understand you know the game winner. But if you remember Jimmy Butler first game went back and forth I wanted to overtime that game one of the heat's eleftheriou. So both of these series are both extremely entertaining but man was the celtics game versus the heat fun. It was kind of a weird game both teams really struggled to score pretty much through the first three quarters get into the stat lines, and of course, we'll get into tyler heroes incredible game. Both teams really struggled to score the first three quarters, tatum zero points in the first half. It was kind of weird back and forth both these teams kind of feeling each other out with a defensive matchup. Almost at this point, the heat stuck with their zone. The Celtics were playing pretty good defense playing man to man, and then the fourth quarter of the teams combined for I believe over seventy points and we got course normal score one, hundred, twelve to one hundred, nine, Miami Heat Win. We'll get into all angles is the over. I don't know I don't want to declare it over man, but it's as close as you're going to get for the Celtics Jason. Tatum despite only having, you know despite having zero points in the first half ended up the name with twenty, eight, nine and four. So we scored twenty eight and a singular half Jaylen Brown with twenty one, nine into Kemba Walker with twenty points and five assist Marcus smart with only ten points but he did have the eleven system not shoot well. From. The field that all Gordon Hayward with fourteen and seven off the bench as well for the Miami Heat. Of course, Jimmy Butler twenty, four, nine and three Bamut Abaya with twenty twelve and four. Goran Dragic with twenty nine, twenty, two, five, and three Doug Robinson with only three points. Didn't you well Jay crowder shot horrendous didn't shoot well, and of course, the rookie twenty year old tyler hero thirty, seven points six rebounds three assists in game for the Eastern Conference finals the Miami Heat. Take. A massive three to one lead over the Boston Celtics. Again. It's tough to say when the series is going to end again, the Celtics have the talent to come back down three two one don't get me wrong one hundred percent one of the most talented offensive teams in the entire league. Really. So they could come back down from three to one but man does this team smell blood and they smelt the today. To. Allow thirty seven points from Tyler here when the judge with the Miami Heat are getting thirty seven points out of their rookie shooting guard tyler hero their damn near impossible to stop would do I. Think the series is GonNa go. I'll have to think about I'll talk about at the end of the segment but man. Again, this.

"Higher in a single postseason. They got LeBron James and Dwyane Wade Butler's teammate Duncan Roberts. He's really been huge for us, and it's just Ah, luxury to play with a guy like that. Who does so much that doesn't show up in a box for just to help the team win. Tim Legler. Why, in what is different about Jimmy Butler in the clutch? Yeah, He's an amazing player because he is so he could go 68 minutes sometimes of court time and never really be worried about getting a shot. Very few star players that I've ever been around are covered. Had ever acted that way. But you go three minutes without a shot, and you're an all star. You got your thinking like, okay, It's my trying to get one up, throw not just a mentality of great scorers. Devoted to think that way, and I think as a result, he has so much trust in his teammates. Today, they have an incredible amount of confidence. In some cases. It's almost unjustifiably level of confidence that some of those guys play with, and I think it's because Of the way he carries himself. Trust you guys. I'll be here when its time and we need to have an answer here at the end, And so it's been amazing that you know what a night when a guy takes seven shots going into the fourth quarter. That he could have an impact because, you know, Hey, maybe I could be there going to that. Well, you're not loose. You're not rhythm. You haven't had a lot of touches. You haven't taken shots. How do you know you're going to answer the bell? And yet seemingly he finds a way to do it, And I thought a game too. The contributions defensively, we're actually every bit as good as what he did offensively in those last 56 minutes, So he's an amazing player in that way. The most patient Big time go to clutch player. I think that I have witnessed in recent times with the way he measures himself and takes his time. It doesn't worry about getting shot and just goes with the flow. But then if he has to answer the bell, he seems like he does it every time. The other side of the coin is Butler's got a lot of very good, ancillary role players. I'm looking guys like Goran Dragic's Tyler hero, Duncan Robinson, if all three are going to probably not going to beat the Miami heat that night. Two out of three or going, it's going to be a struggle to beat the Miami Heat legs. How do you stop? Two of those three guys other than follow trouble? Yeah, it's look don't around, has been pretty quiet most of the postseason. He got loose the other night. They had some late situations where they were not paying attention to him and getting on his hip. And you turn your head for a second. He's on the move constantly. 86 8, But you get there late. He's going to get it off. Gotta quickly leave, and I thought they lost contact with him in the first half, And now you let him into the series. He wasn't really Ah, factor to that point. So he means the one guy. Probably the easiest to make sure if you want to target someone stuck in Robinson, you give no help responsibility. You get on his hip. You chase him everywhere. You don't turn your head to follow the basketball away from you, because that's when he moves relocates and he gets space and he's going. He's going to come a problem. So I think he's the guy that you can really kind of target. Take out of the news. Gord Rocket just tough because you get so many ball screens. He handles the ball so much. I know you're going to make the stakes all coverage is our pick and roll and he's always got the ball in transition, so he's going to get his opportunities that that's a tougher one. In some ways, you just got to hope that he's taken tough shots, and he has a Off shooting night, A Tyler hero has emerged as a guy that can really handle the basketball get anywhere on the court and again, that confidence level belies someone his age. Shouldn't be this confident this situation. But he has now emerged as another go through players. I think the two guys you can really focus on would be Duncan Robinson, Ajay Crowder, because primarily everything they get is going to be a catch and shoot three. And if you're Brad Stevens, you've got to take something away. If that means dragging Butler and hero get more opportunities off the dribble, So be it. If you could take away that, you know 18 to 24 points or given up between Doug Robinson a crowd on the three point line. You've got to try to limit that. Yes, begin MBA analyst Tim Legler catch him on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt. The night is done. That'll do it for also mea countdown up Next, we tip it off Game three Celtics in the Heat. "Stylistically standpoint and from a lot of the same moves and movements with their shoulders and their feet, their hips and everything like that. Was Really Awesome to see I want to switch gears now to the Miami Heat series versus the Milwaukee Bucks, and I also thought that the Milwaukee Bucks would rebound. Running. About the raptors rebounding the Buxton not remand. I. Think they actually you can consider that they played worse. I think both teams played a little bit worse now. I WanNa talk about an interesting thing here. because. The first game, the heat one by eleven and I thought that game was a lot a lot closer then. Than than it looked I. thought that gains the score did not show What was really really was the tail there right I thought that the heat and bucks were a lot closer in that game and the win by eleven didn't really do Justice Pablo's that game was now for game two, there was only decided by what two points I believe after the Jimmy Butler free throws and one of the craziest. CRAZIEST Games I. Think I've ever seen really. Yeah, the only one by two tonight. I think the game was a lot less close than it appeared. The heat were up by a lot late I. think they were up by the way a bunch of ten they kind of choke the lead at the end there, which is why even got tied in the first place some also some questionable calls. Again, that's that's how I view. Personally, I think the heat were in complete and total control tonight from start to finish. And when he just started talking about the Miami because they're six now in the playoffs, only two teams doing that the heat and the Celtics through the only two teams that are undefeated the place right now and they're facing the Milwaukee Bucks they're facing the number one in the NBA this isn't some Lebron James East from what five years ago where they were just completely run through everybody right? That's not how this works. Anymore the East is tough. The mock is supposed to be better than the Miami and of course, the heat, the seep, the bucks or the one seat again, they're up to right now and I think they. Were leading pretty much the entire way just just from just from a physicality standpoint just from an it standpoint I think the heat were in complete control of this game There was a lot of questionable calls. The heat shot seven lists free throws in the Milwaukee Bucks Janas played a lot better tonight than he did the other night she at twenty, nine, fourteen in three Middleton at twenty, three, six, and eight Lopez at Sixteen and seven bledsoe at sixteen and seventeen grant. Hill had fourteen off the bench. If you told me all that I would've told you that the bucks probably won by seven or eight plus not to mention. Jimmy Butler. Only thirteen points tonight. And Duncan Robinson only at thirteen point night as well. Zoo only Dunkin Robinson three threes Jimmy. Butler only gets thirteen points. A Jonathan gets twenty nine. Middleton gets twenty-three Lopes Sixteen. Let's get sixteen grain. He'll gets fourteen and you're telling me that the ninety heat won that game are up to nothing. We really need to talk about how balances Miami Heat team is again guys tonight who stepped up what it reminded me of the heat all season pretty much every different night for everybody for the Miami Heat I thought that would change a little bit in the playoffs with. A Butler would be more assertive. He wasn't that first game. You obviously got forty bucks only get thirteen points tonight. Don't get it twisted the Buxton like find a way to stop him or anything like that. They weren't hyper focused on him or anything to me about it only took eight shots tonight. He was not the leading shot taker. It's a different night for everybody the only a different night for the. MIAMI. Heat every single night, I think the most balanced team in the NBA when it comes offensive standpoint. So tonight, let me give you some of the stats. Jae crowder was sixteen Butler with thirteen, Bam and abaya with Fifteen Doug Robinson with thirteen dragic was their leading scorer with twenty three hero was actually their second leading score was seventeen and Olympic with eleven. So what does that one? Two, three, four, five, six, seven, different guys in double digits tonight for the Miami Heat and I think they played maybe one of the best defensive games I've ever seen from a switch ability standpoint from a steel standpoint the steals they actually got the got five six eight, ten eleven, twelve seals tonight as what the Miami he had. Against the Milwaukee Bucks, a lot of them against of a lot of them against Chris Middleton, and again, the bucks to really good game offensively. But the he always had an answer always had something to come back from.

"Nothing really fantastic and just generally a credible. I think Siachen will be incredible I. Think we'll have a lot of great games a lot of close games on again. I think the Celtics will win and seven. Now it's also looking like the Miami Heat in the Milwaukee Bucks are planning predicted. Now I've been adamant I'm saying and some other guys on ESPN I think Kendrick Perkins has been saying as well I'm a firm believer the Miami Heat are going to beat the Milwaukee Bucks in six or seven games in the series everything that Milwaukee has a weakness in defending guards defending shooters defending outside of paint. That's what Miami the best three point shooting team in the League the second most the second best when it comes to bomb moving only behind Utah they have suitors like, Tyler Hero while talk about in a minute Doug Robinson Kendrick Nunn got some minutes again to go dragic who's averaging twenty two points per game in the NBA playoffs right now they just swooped the Indiana Pacers Jimmy Butler is incredible. Of course, Bamut of Bio Jae crowder shooting forty, five percent from three right now audrey good dollars shooting in the high thirty percent from three now as well. Everything's going right for the Miami Heat are peaking at the right time not to mention they have a championship petteri coach exposure who's coach multiple playoff series is like this who's coach in the NBA Finals about the time? What time? NBA Champion Again. I've in the mining he win the series and six or seven now when it comes to the bucks, Chris Middleton needs to step up if they want to beat the Miami Heat but here's the thing. Is Not going to be stopped. Because there's no way of stopping US onto the pupo but the he'd have every single player pretty much in the NBA that can make life difficult on that even if Janas still gets his twenty five to thirty a game you made them work for it. You made him tired because you made him pass out a lot of times you made him. Check not pass out on the floor like pass out like a situation made him settle for a lot of jump shots that's the Miami Heat do them at Jimmy Butler Jae crowded. They've Andre Dare Jones Junior. You can even throw Kelly Olympic in there as well or maybe Meyers Leonard. All, these guys are just throw and throw and throw a honest onto the coupon build that wall make driving kick and don't forget the he play really permettre defense because they're one of the best permanent teams in the League Robinson knows how these shooters moving how shooters operate. He will guard them as well as Goran, dragic in tyler hero aren't the greatest defenders but they can step up and don't forget while you might only have one or two of those guys on. Jimmy. Google like Jae Crowder On. Jimmy Butler will be absolutely locking down Chris Middleton, and that's what I expect. I think I expect Chris Middleton to be put in prison in this series and not a lot of good stuff from him as well which makes me want to believe that the heat are GonNa win the series I. WanNa Talk About Tyler here though in particular I saw a statistic today. Tyler Hero. is absolutely ridicules and he's better than a lot of people think. So Tyler Hero has been the headline of a lot of recent trae patches I've been talking about because again I think the heat or after a guy like Donovan Mitchell but. There is a really, really interesting point here about tyler hero that I think we're not giving him enough credit for is that he was absolutely incredible in this series and he was also way closer for the Miami Heat in this series as well. Tyler hero is one of only four rookies in the NBA in NBA history including Ben Simmons guys like Ben Simmons Donovan Mitchell to play in a playoff series, their rookie year and average and get fifteen plus points in each of those four games in the last twenty years Tyler Heroes. One, of those rookies to do that also tyler hero out of all four games here played forty six of the possible forty, eight fourth-quarter minutes. In this series he was literally nobody on the heat. Play more fourth quarter minutes than twenty year old rookie tyler hero for them more than fourth quarter minutes more than Damon a bio more than Goran dragic he was pretty much starting and finishing the entire fourth quarter during that time he was a plus.

"But he takes them out and the the heated made a concerted effort to really get out of bio going after. I think he had two points in game two on some of those catches closer at the elbow not so much of the three point line like the real elbow and then take a hard dribbling go score and Turner really snuck that I thought he. Did a great job on him in one on one defense. But then he goes out, they run the same play or to place in a row, just get it to autopilot the at the elbow one dribble hard go right through Sampson for two buckets and then the next play they run a screen for a bio and Samson tries to get through it and volume and each make two free throws and so that six quick points they bring Turner back in but like game. Early in the fourth and so another one of those little things where you can say, Hey, you know what? Like we're going to match up miles turner with them out of bio every single minute that he's in the game and we're going to make them post will match up. Takhar Sampson, against Kelly Olympic instead and or dirt Jones instead. So he can't kill us this way and six points and yoga you her back in but you just lost six points and I think the countered yet other ways we've been drawing this comparison between the two coaches that Jerry Jones junior at center hadn't worked as. Well in this series and so more more Kelly, a winnick blessed dirt on CNN Center I think made a lot sense the one thing that I? Do you questioned with SPO- not going back to Duncan Robinson Lady did have five files, but it's like hero was getting cooked brogden anyway I thought Robinson was has been okay. Ish on Brandon's at least got more size and that was kind of the problem for hero was brought in is just able to get a shoulder by and shoot over him with his superior size and strength. So and Robinson really gives them some so much more to me than hero of. I mean hero especially because they don't need heroes shocker nation in those lineups they already have. Yeah I mean, they've got drag. It's they've got Butler already to run a pick and roll. So do the off ball stop and heroes decent at that but he's still not as good as Robinson. So that was if Indiana head come back to that could have been you point to Robinson didn't close out their game on Thursday either never came back in. In the fourth. So that's that'd be something to watch maybe particularly because I think Duncan Robinson against the bucks, it is a unique throughout but the perhaps bode trust hero more densely I mean hero like competes harder maybe but I don't know that he's been better at least a in this series. We'll see a particularly against the bucks you might want to have. More size out there but that's just something to monitor under Allah continues even though he's not a huge offensive player to just be a positive player for them he just always makes the right pass in a pink ball movement situation. You know he'll just take a couple of GERBILS activate the defense, keep it moving. He doesn't make mistakes defensively is good. Communicator particularly, the switch he has a ton of experience with it doesn't surprise me that they've done this switching with there now because he really fits into that system and they know that vitriol depot, I mentioned that play where he doesn't help on the back Serena, Butler gets the layup. He just got his ask kick defensively by Dunkin Robinson in the. Second which is part of why it was annoying me that they didn't go back to holiday and put Ola deep on somebody else at that point because I mean here's the sequence I he just gives up a straight back door and like a top lock situation and he doesn't have helped behind him. You can't just top locker guy because remember Turner is. Up on a bio so there's no real back to help. So he gives up a lay up there to Robinson then he comes down and takes that terrible running jumper from two-point range. Then he gives up a three shot foul in the corner to Robinson, and then he loses Dunkin Robinson again for no reason and gives up another three. So it was. Really just about as rough of a stretch and Doug Robinson's a really good player like he's causes problems but vigil depot did not do a good job in that considering there are just all these sort of like lil two or three play sequences where Indiana just seems like they're they're playing pretty neck and neck with these guys and then you get like two. Or three days in a row where they just grew up or they commits a bad files and they're just not disciplined and that's what it costs game. Let's jump to bucks magic first game of the day on. Saturday might be the last time we talked about the series. Yeah. I don't think we're GONNA talk too long I. think that this game kind of. We've seen overall from the series it mostly not entirely gone for him. I mean especially given some of the late running Orlando ended up shooting nineteen forty on threes in this game, which is not something that we expected to other shooting personnel has actually gotten friendlier with some of the absences but Milwaukee sealed off sealed off the rim again, only twelve shots in the restricted area for Landau in this game and fourteen free throws. So not getting to the line that much and then Milwaukee won seventeen offensive rating made enough. Of their threes I thought that either the this this looked like what I expected the rest of the series I think. So I mean only even two of six in the first half when it was basically a third thirty point lead and the game was over at that point Orlando came back with some really good shooting as you mentioned that nineteen forty three point shooting. But worth noting that even with nineteen out of forty three point shooting the overall numbers for Orlando in terms of their offense efficiency were pretty poor here. Forty two percent on twos and I believe that's the second given road where they've been around that level in two hundred. Yeah and so the talk arc numb wrote about this for the athletic after Game One and then game two was, hey, we actually made some like matchup specific adjustments here to try and take stuff away from Bucci Bitch for example, and Bridgford still killed him in game one anyway and Nicole Butchnevich is. A good player yet he's wasn't as good in this game, but he's not going to beat the Milwaukee Bucks four games out of Seven I. Think like your base defense is probably good enough against her lender and this isn't it will be an interesting conundrum here for Mike Daniels or something that came up in the Toronto series of Hey you know is the basie fence good enough do you need in that game five? They start switching against why they're doing this extreme thing where they're just not gonNa let him go right under any circumstances he ends up beating that down the end. It's a lot of people saying maybe they should just stick with their base defense now Bruno's of course, gets pilloried even on this program at times trying to be evenhanded about it of not adjusting enough and I think that was definitely the case for. Him For the Hawks against the Cleveland Teams in two, thousand, fifteen sixteen but it's he may have gone too far. I thought in the series against Toronto where they were really very good against Toronto I thought most of the series I thought their defense was good enough to win most that there is just they couldn't score, and so they did switch up defense and and hit a couple of big three's overbrook Lopez An. Three COUPLA might have been like long twos but and they ended up losing that series. So I'm just something to watch against Orlando. It probably wasn't a matter ultimately, but the end, the base defenses good enough. You know just the Milwaukee is a team that does a few things incredibly well, and the question of do they just stick with that or do they switch up little but they? Do have better personnel to switch up this desire to with Marvin Williams it's just GonNa be something to monitor but not really a stress issue in this series particularly I think that's totally fair..

We're one of the most watch half hour sitcoms on television, like where were the number one. That families watch together. Yeah. Yeah. So it was funny. I mean right. I mean it was like he's full house. Now is basically what he is. But it is, is amazing. I felt great show. It really is smart. I you know, I always tell the story when he's in studio. His mother came up to me in a restaurant and said my son, you know, him my son. He's got this show coming out. It's called the goldbergs is looking twenty thirteen and this, and it's gonna be great and it's about this family, and it's, it's going to be beautiful and you're gonna love it. You're going to talk to him about it. And I said that Goldberg's what is he thinking and? By the way. One of the people that pushed for the name the Goldberg okay? You know who who, who decided they wanted? That was the network said you should call it. The gophers the name of the show, originally was what's wrong with my blankety life. And you know, and I thought that's the lamest name I've ever heard. And then I talked to Adam Goldberg created the show and Doug Robinson the other producer their Jewish. And I said, let's dive in the pool come on. Don't stick your towing. Let's be cold. Ironically, I'm one of the only Jews on the show. Yes. That's my wife's not Jewish. My children are Jewish. Although they're all playing Jews George Segel's Jew. But, but yes. So I'm the only, yeah. Harvey Korman said and blazing tales to Jewish Jewish. It's if I'm on the two biggest Jewish shows, which that occurred to me, if years back, curb your enthusiasm and the goldbergs are the two biggest that's what people get their Jews in America. Right. That's actually the guys, the guys in Charlottesville rally had Larry David posters they were running down to so. So it is got I gotta tell you both the curb is the funniest have our outrages so but the goldbergs now as for a family sitcom is got by its edgy. There's. The former spectacular. Well, you're very kind honored to be on the show. And okay. Network salary network TV is going down. But we keep I keep reading in the trades. Is that the Netflix possibilities are creating Bank for celebrities to go there and do his mode for Bank. Well, first off celebrities should should. Celebrities. That's that's successful. Actor excess what celebrities could be the Kardashians. Do you know what I mean? Liberty is about fame and not about content. And, and so, but that's the thing there is meaningful work in work. Work celebrities to. I mean, that's yes. And there's money to be made. Don't get me wrong. But it's not what it was someone in my position would be making at this point, a million dollars an episode. Right. And in the remember working on mad about you. And I'm not if I'm not mistaken Paulin Helen the last few years, we're making a million dollars an episode and that was a big number at NBC right at that moment because friends cast all one remodel got an end. No, I'm lucky I'm getting in at the end of shows being popular enough on that worked television, like I'm, Ana hit sitcom. Not many people in the future going to be able to say that. Right. Yeah. It I feel that way about radio. Jeff. That's exactly who feel about it. I'm like, I'm gonna go close. But by the way. I think that that's true of music radio. Like I did Eric show this morning. And they don't have a nighttime person that just play the songs a computer. Does it the whole strength of this channel is about human beings right, discussing the trail had cats, the podcast is ridiculous. Okay. So today, actually thought so today I got a call from a city official who said, hey, it was listening to this podcast. John cast as with our producer, Jeff Carlin, no relation, and there is an here's something on the podcast that he wants to get corrected right? So I'm sitting there thinking, wait a second. I could literally take myself hostage here and nothing would happen. If I took myself hostage in my podcast, swat would show up at my house, every hour on the hour until they figured it out while you're obviously, exaggerating. But that being said podcast if you put out something interesting. Here's the thing, what has what's great about podcast is the same thing. That's great about independent filmmaking. The. The difference between independent filmmaking podcast is that a podcast has a great delivery system. Independent filmmaking you, no longer can go in the theater, when you do, but not really Netflix. It's a little more difficult. But the point being is technology has made it an even playing field. You have an idea. You want to do something you can do it. So let's say you back in the day with the big money and the bigger numbers, you went to a producer here at WGN and yet and idea that you wanted to do a radio show about serial killers, which seems to be a lot of podcast about crimes. I would say that one hundred fifty deals of fallen through more deals fall through than deals happen in for various reasons. It took almost all of two thousand nine two goes through this. And this is early two thousand ten and deal falls through in Bob and the team are wildly disappointed. And they're like, what are we going to do? And you know, an you just going to grow your business. Don't worry about it. Let's something else will come in the you'll still within the sage products still though point. Yes, stolen stage route. So as said go back to the strategy. We send is replicated go out and find another stage in execute that contract or whatever the team was really struggling. They're finding all different types of parties. They were trying to get contracts together. But it just nothing was really connecting and fast forward to two thousand twelve January of two thousand twelve and I always tell funny stories like we had a board meeting. And you know, it was like man, we look exactly the same as we did in two thousand ten we hadn't grown. We're still four. But we are spending a crapload of money trying to grow we weren't profitable. We're all sitting there, and we're like man, I went to the restroom and came back and next thing. You know, they said we voted you in a CEO as guys know there's a bathroom rule, man. If you go to the bathroom, you cannot be voted in his see of this. I'm joking. But they really said John we need you to come in here to grow this business. And I said, oh, man, I was just literally finishing up the deal at digital globe. In at got about another six seven months at a half to finish up. This. Deal with the acquisition over there, etc. It's gonna take me a while. So I think we should find somebody else, quite frankly. And they said, no, no, no, you're the one, you know in. So did you wanna do it at? I know right. Yeah. Especially voting yet when you're gone, you know, because if he wanted to do it, then it probably would have been your idea. Right. Yeah. But then I'll tell you a couple of weeks later, Bob, and I went out to dinner, just you, and I we call it the infamous palm restaurant palm restaurant here. In town. We went there we had couple martinis have dinner couple bows line and Bob was just like, and I could just see it. I mean, this is one that he really really wanted to really take off. And I said, I'm going to do this for your brother. I'm gonna come in. I we actually just kind of convinced each other that we could change the world for the SMP. That was really the thought process is how do we change the world for the SMB's the small business player? And that kind of got me jazz. I will tell you that. I started thinking about it. Wow. There's tons of tools out there and that kind of stuff, but nobody's really bringing it all together. And if we could do that that would be. Crazy while after allies like, yeah, I wanna do this worked my way out of digital blow. I officially took over in July of two thousand twelve when I finally took over as CEO we were fifteen person company crammed in a little tiny office here, Colorado..

"Let's talk about damning again, a lady that I I do spend with took a picture of her her back door, okay? And the back door. She started with the picture of the lock Lou frozen on the. Insight k which is not a good sign. Okay. That should that that to me is a door. That's not sealed properly or the locks not installed properly. If the if the inside of the house, Donna, the lock is frozen. Okay. So there's there's frost on the lock and the insight on the inside of her house. Then the next day. I guess she went to bed you're supposed to h went to bed came up. Now this was Wednesday Thursday. It was fifty five below and all that stuff. Right. We all made it congratulates put on another sweater shut up. All right. And let's your heats out unless you're heats out. Then then you then you got problems. Yeah. Okay. There's there's there's chops paying attention gladly put down the truck magazine and span attention to the to the show. So so so she took a picture of the inside of her door completely frost covered probably two inches of solid ice on the inside. And I sent her a text right away. I said, please call my good friend, Tom Janke at builder supply outlet. Your door is not properly. You know, the is not properly installed the house has shifted something's happening there. I know nothing about building is already by listen to the show. Okay. But I did see if you have ice on the inside of your house. You have a problem. Are you getting those calls? I can't be the only person that that's happening. And if listeners are having that same challenge with their house, what is typically happening, and what is the solution? So typically that is not a well insulated door itself. Anyway, but when you see frost like that, it is an ear seal problem. So when you're not stuffing the insulation around or using spray foam around the door. You're going to get an air leak. It will freeze up right on contact with that air that's coming in and it builds up until up and build up and build up. And then if you have a steel door that's not an insulated steel door. It's even worse. So that's probably what she's got going on there. And I I saw her this morning at at at spin class. And I said, you know, what you're probably wasting the cost of the door installed. What five six seven hundred dollars? Okay. Okay. The amount of energy that that she's pissing away through. I'm sorry. I don't know if you could say that. Probably not wasting through that door. Right. Just the energy savings alone. Probably over a twelve month period of time, especially in the heat coming in obviously in the summer, especially when you're cold, and you turn the heat on you gotta continue to run the heat in order to keep your house warm when you got up obviously have a hole in your back door. What what type of procedure should people do if if that's happening? Well, buying a good door number one is great. But you still have to install correctly, right? If you can just throw the door and door trim on it. It's it's not gonna work. You gotta have that air seal. Totally so stuff that installation around it seal, it up caulk, the outside get all the air seal up that you can possibly because that is definitely where you're gonna find all your frost coming in. Donna explain how that negatively impacts somebody trying to sell a house while I tried to fix the audio here. Go ahead go well that will certainly not be a selling point. When you've got frost on the inside of the door. I mean, that's just a no brainer. I forgot. How much you want me to expand? Here's another technical for all you would be radio. It helps when you plug the microphone court into the port. If you wanna have audio on Facebook live.
