"I'm Doug Kazarian alongside Tyler fulgham and Tyler a whirlwind weekend with a bunch of game 7s yesterday and the Mavericks pull it off, get the outright cover after the home team and one uncovered all 6 games of that series. That was really the big story. Luca dominating and the sun's laying an egg. Yeah, that was the most surprising part, not the Dallas won the game, but the fact that Phoenix didn't even really show up. I like Dallas plus the point 'cause I thought it would be a close game and whether Phoenix or Dallas won three, four point marching of victory either way, did not see that type of dud from the Phoenix Suns after what they showed all regular season and pretty much all this postseason outside of that game 7. Yeah, I'm right there with you. I just stunned. I mean, it's one of the worst performances from an effort standpoint and execution. That we've ever seen. Really. I mean, I know that's a sound. I don't think it's hyperbole. No, I don't think that it's really remarkable. When you consider how dominant the sun's team was and how they were expected to just be maybe the warriors, people were giving them a chance, but Luca was awesome. The Mavericks, I mean, this trade that was overlooked kind of during mid season to bring in Dinwiddie and berton kind of swung the series a little bit throughout the entire 7 game set. So looking ahead, I do think the Celtics are rightfully favored. I'm not sure if there's a price I had in mind, but I do expect the Celtics to have been favored. And I thought the warriors were too high, came down a little bit, but I still think it's a little too high. I'm with you. I don't have a problem with Boston being favored over Miami. I have a problem with the manner in which they are. I think it should be much closer to a coin flip because Miami was the best team in the Eastern Conference all season long. They are the one seed. They have Jimmy Butler who can go toe to toe with Jason Tatum. They have bam adebayo who can play defense at a defensive player of the year level like Marcus smart. They have role players like max drew's Tyler hero, TJ Tucker, all these guys that just fill their role at an all star level. They may not be all stars, but they play their role at an all star level. Eric spoelstra is as good as any coach in the NBA, they have home court, so I mean, again, if you're giving me Miami at plus four 20 to win the NBA championship of the four teams remaining, they have the third shortest eyes or third longest odds however you want to look at it. Granted, Boston is great. Their defense is great, but I think right now the market is disrespecting this Miami Heat team a little bit and if they get Kyle Lowry back at a 100%, that strengthens them. I think they can win even without Kyle Lowry because of his age. He's still a good player, but he's not a difference maker to me at this point in his career where he's 36, 30, 7 years old. I think he's more of a supplementary piece. But even without them, without him, they have bam. They have Jimmy planted a high level. They have complimentary pieces and a great coach and a great culture. So I kind of like both underdogs based on the price right now. I think they need to tighten up those prices. Hopefully, maybe they will if more people are listening to this and go out and vet, but I think Miami and Boston has pretty much a 51 49 coin flip and I look at Golden State, Dallas is kind of like a 53 47 kind of coin flip. I think these are two really good series and the prices don't necessarily reflect that at this moment. Yeah. No, it's gonna be really exciting. The coaching adjustments too for both teams throughout the series has been really so intriguing to nerd out on it. So be interesting to see how it all unfolds. We'll have much more to discuss later daily wager tonight, 6 eastern on ESPN2 throughout the week as well and obviously things get going tomorrow night. We've got to get you some plays. Let's talk a little baseball. I have a few opinions on the diamond, but what about yourself? Yeah, the two plays that I like the most. I'll start with my cardinals taking on the mets. I would play that under 8 cardinals, you know, maybe there's gonna be some recency bias because they just, you know, hung 15 up on Sunday Night baseball against the San Francisco Giants, but this series moves to city field in New York. Miles Michaelis is pitching for the Cardinals. He's been really good all season long and although the Cardinals did put up 15 runs. Their offense is not quite as prolific or as intimidating as you might think with the names and star power they have. Both of these teams are built on very solid starting pitching and really, really good defense. They're not strong offensive teams. So I like the under here and what I expect to be, you know, close low scoring game with the Cardinals having the better starting pitching advantage, but the mets just being the better team and being at home. My other play I like the angels. I like them on the run line, whether it's first 5 or the full 9 innings. Against the Texas Rangers, they got Noah syndergaard former met pitcher on the bump. He's been really, really good. This season and the angels absolutely crush right handed pitching, especially mediocre right handed pitching and John gray as going for the rangers. He can be good at times, but he certainly doesn't scare me in any way, shape, or form against this angel's lineup that's absolutely murdering right handers right now. They're first in Major League Baseball and Homer, slugging and OPS against right handed pitching and with syndergaard being on the bump and pitching the way he has. I think the angels can lead by at least one after 5 and a place of plus one O 5 and then win this game by at least two runs at a price of plus one 15 against a rangers.

"I'm Doug Kazarian alongside Joe forton ball and also I guess technically my dog Arthur, who is here wanting to be pet. Arthur, I always love it when he gets himself on to SportsCenter. You don't get to see him on SportsCenter, but you get to see him bump into the tripod and wiggle the camera shot. It's always my favorite part of this working at this network. Yeah. It's pretty, it's pretty unique because he usually is just chill and sits there. So I felt comfortable with not putting him in the other room or anything, which I could have done all of that. But he happened to when the TV was going and wanted to jump up on the chair and he bumped the tripod, so it is what it is. He's a star. You gave him a taste by bringing him on a couple times and now he wants on every time. That's how it is. That's true. I know. They say in the business, don't feed the puppy. Once you start responding, you know, if you're on a remote and there's people in the crowd and you start acknowledging them, all hell is going to break loose. So you don't feed the puppy. All right, let's get into a couple of games. I'm gonna keep talked about this on air yesterday briefly with Stanford Steve. We didn't really get into it in a full discussion on the show, but I'm firing against the reds, run line, just blindly doing it. I bet it like the previous night, don't even think about it. Don't track the score, don't do anything, just check it. Maybe at night. And I'm like, oh, 9 three and the 6, we're good. This one starts at an hour and a half from our taping. I'm laying it with the brewers one and a half. I'm not going to do it this week. 'cause then the reds host the pirates. And we don't want to get involved in that nonsense. So let's go slide. I'll let that one slide. Maybe we'll see how the first game goes or so, but you got some other baseball plays for us. All right, these games are tonight, I'm gonna rip through three of them. Number one, I'm gonna lay minus one 35 with Tampa Bay over Seattle. That Mariners regression that we talked about before the season started. It's very, very real. They dropped 7 of 8, and they send Robbie ray out there today. Ray Cy Young last year, but again, he fits Seattle perfectly because he's due for a regression and it's happening. He's given up 7 runs in his last 17 innings, which isn't awful, but look at who he's pitched against. Kansas City, the Marlins, the rangers, not exactly elite offenses, the raised hit lefties better than Seattle, Tampa minus one 35 over the Mariners. Game number two, I'm gonna take a shot here. The tigers plus one 35 over the Astros. I like the price giving the pitching match up. School bulls going for Detroit. He's been rock solid in two starts. He's been average to slightly below average in his other two starts. So he does have the goods. And remember, Houston's about league average against left handed pitching. So there's an opportunity here for Detroit to suppress those Astros runs. Now on the other side for the Astros, it's orchid, who's pitching 5.95 ERA, prone to getting rocked, the tigers have been miserable this year. I understand if you want to pass on it, Detroit plus one 35 over Houston. And then finally, the Phillies. First 5 innings, minus half a run over the mets. Okay, everything about this should point to the mets. Taiwan walker's pitched twice this season, both against the fills. He shut him down. Aaron Nolan just pitched against the mets, had a good outing, but not a great outing. That's a red hot, Philly stink. I like the bounce back spot for the fills. They just dropped two in a row against the rangers of all teams, big series here at the mets, Aaron nola's gonna go. He's been solid in his career against the metropolitans and in general. So we're gonna play the first 5 innings minus half a run 'cause it's gotten pretty pricey. Philly's minus one 25. Quick recap, raise minus one 35 over Seattle, tigers plus one 35 over the Astros, Philly's first 5 innings, minus half a run minus one 25 over the mets. Wow, quite the quite the list there. So you ripped through that. Interesting you're taking shots and grabbing like plus one 40. I know that's the way in baseball, but when I do that, like Stanford Steve like the Giants yesterday, I just can't. I need more than a buck 40. If I'm gonna bet into these powerful lineups and stuff like that, but goodbye you, let's hit the ice. Flames, I'm on them in the series. I'm on a minus one and a half games. Eked out at one zero win in game one. I'm gonna lay the one and a half here. I think we see a little bit more offense from Calgary or Calgary as they like to say. I'm in agreement with you. I would lay the one and a half. It's plus one O 5. Another bet I would make in this one and it's juicier. It's minus one 50, but I'd play the stars under two and a half goals. What you saw in game one, those Dallas struggles. That's not a rarity. That's not an outlier. That's how they've been throughout the course of the regular season. Dallas ranked 30th this year in goals per 60 minutes. And those woes have carried over to the playoffs. The stars register just 16 shots in game one. So it's not like they had a bunch of great opportunities, but couldn't cash in. They couldn't get to the net and they most certainly couldn't score. Now, Calgary number one in the NHL in goals allowed for 60 minutes during the regular season. So they've been a freight train all year long, and they allowed just 29 shots per game during the regular season, which is top 5 in the NHL. So the fact that the Dallas struggles to get to the net and struggles to score happen in the regular season happen in game one, Calgary does a great job of defending the net and not letting opponents get to the net and that happened during the regular season and in game one. I see that carrying over. I think the only difference in this game is that Calgary makes adjustments to get more offense..

"doug kazarian" Discussed on Behind the Bets

"I'm Doug Kazarian, joined this morning with Tyler full Jim, how are you, my friend. Doing well this morning had a good night in the NBA, kind of everything that we thought would happen with those two games kind of did. In terms of the totals and the sides and props, I think we had a based on what I remember from our show yesterday, a pretty good day. Yeah, overall, solid day. I was wrong on a couple things, but that happens. We got there with the Cavs back door, but that's the reason we said the defensive Brooklyn was not good enough. So moving forward, I'm on the hawks tonight. I do like this team. Look, you wanna use the season stats. Most of the time. But November, December really don't carry a lot of weight in my world and we're mid April here in the team has changed so much. So just given how the hawks have been playing, I know the hornets kind of got them the last time they played, but I think Atlanta takes care of business and we see a similar performance solid 7 to ten point win here. So I'm going to lay the 5, 5 and a half Atlanta. Yeah, I'm going to attack the total here and we were talking about this on a daily wager yesterday, especially early in these playoff playing and play off series games, unders are likely a strong play as possessions become a little more measured and defensive effort, ratchets up. The hornets and the hawks have the highest total of the four playoff playing games. It opened at two 39 and a half has already been bent down to two 36. I still think you can attack the under there. Despite the pace and offensive prowess of both of these teams, they matched up four times this season. Three of the four games went under this total. They had one game where they combined score 257 points. And even accounting for that game that was a complete outlier. The four games still averaged only 225.8 points per game. So if you take that one out, you're talking about an average in the two teens. And we got to get to two 37 to cash the over here. Again, there is the one outlier, two 57, these offenses can go off, but the other three games featured a total of two 22, two O four and two 20. I just think we're going to see a little more measured game, a little more defensive effort and a lower scoring game than the market is predicting based on the reputation these two teams have as two teams that like to get out, run and gun, chuck and duck and play a little defense. I think there's enough evidence there in those four matchups that, again, even with the game of two 57, the average in those four games was two 26 and the total here is set at two 36. I'm going to go under and make that my play for the total and this one. Nice. Yeah, no, look. Odds makers and the betting market uses regular season stats and applies into this. I don't even want to call it postseason, I guess. I don't know. And I think that's something so narrative sometimes apply. I was talking to a professional better a week or so ago, and he said he doesn't really focus. It doesn't really do the NBA for the last month or so of the regular season because it's all narrative driven. And sometimes the narratives do apply. So that's something to keep in mind. Spurs pelicans, similar spread here, 5 and a half. I like the underdog here. I think it's too many points. But it wouldn't shock me at the pelicans cover here, but I'm expecting the spurs to be there. Obviously, more experience with the coach. And I just think the spurs have enough here for a pelicans team that's been great with Ingram and McCollum. I mean, you talked about earlier throwing out the first couple of months. Well, obviously with income didn't play this team was like two and 25 or something ridiculous. Much different teams. And then certain guys like herb Jones have really come into their own. I like this pelicans team. I just think 5 and a half too many. Agree with you. I'm on the spurs side. Again, you have to take into the context that these rosters are a little different than what we saw over the course of 82 games. But the spurs were three in one straight up and three and one ATS versus New Orleans and four games this season. And they finished very strong on the road down the stretch. And they were playing meaningful games down the stretch Doug. That's one narrative. I think that we can apply to the spurs because they were trying to qualify for this playoff plan. So it's not like there are resting guys or taking it easy down the stretch. They were trying to win games. And they did in their last 7 road games, they were 5 and two straight up, and they had a positive 7.7 net rating, which was the fourth best in the NBA over that stretch. Obviously a coaching advantage over Willie green and that's not to say anything negative about will agree. It's just Greg pops Greg popper, bitch. Mount Rushmore of all time coaches. I think the gente Murray will be the best basketball player on the floor. He joined Michael Jordan as one of only two players in the history of the NBA this season to average 20 points, 8 assists 8 rebounds and two plus steals in a single season. That's how much he can affect a basketball game. Now that it's the team as his with Aldridge and Derozan gone, he dominates the basketball, and he dominates both ends of the floor. He creates first teams in transition. He creates an ISO. You can shoot, he can rebound, he can pass. He does everything. So given that team with that coach, 5 and a half, I think the spurs are the better bet here. Any props that interest you in either of these games. One, it's 5 and a half, this is rebounds, the overdue, the minus one 50. He's had 6 plus in like, I think I want to say 17 of the last 18 games except for, so it's really 17 of 22, but I kind of throw out the four. He only played 16 minutes in one game. And so I kind of throw that out and then the other three that I want to throw out of the Portland games. I weren't a real team out there. So for whatever reason he wasn't doing, I don't know. We saw what happened on Sunday. They lost by a million squared like 80 points. So but I just.

"So DJ at 16 to one, I'd be looking at some top ten options as well. I'm also gonna look at bubba Watson. He is literally the core definition of course for the whole horse for the course. It feels like if I was going to lay out the definition, I should have gotten that right rather than stumbled through it. But that's a human we're there at this moment. Watching his ten career victories 7 of them have come on three courses. Two wins at the masters, two wins at the travelers, three wins in this event. Three. In ten starts in this event, he's got three wins and three top 15s. So two bets I like for bubba to finish in the top 20 is plus one 50. There's also a four round matchup play where he's even money against Adam Scott. Scott won the event two years ago. So I think that's why we're getting a good price, but he was 38 last year. He's solid here too, but I think bubba's more consistent so I'd even money I'll make that play. Anything you like for the genesis? There's quite a bit I like. What a stupid question. What a stupid question? Well, here's the thing. You've got probably 15 of the best golfers in the world that are team it up. So it's really hard when you've got that great a talent. Playing. So I think one of the, one of the best bets you can make out there is the two chance where you could bet either rom or can't lay to win at four to one. These two guys, you know, metric wise, this course for rom when you go, I did a deep dive into all the metrics that matter here and none more important than strokes gained tee to green as well as greens and regulation. And ram, top two in both. Cantley? Nobody's playing better golf than him, right? Like he's finished top ten and four straight starts. Top 5 and three of those four. So he almost should have won at Phoenix in my opinion, lost in the playoffs. He's due, man. He's due. He's got to win. So two chance ramen cantley four to one to win this tournament. Rory, he's teetered up here 6 times in two of those 6. He's led after the first round. And you can get first round leader at 30 to one. Why not Rory actually fly in low on the radar because he hasn't played a lot of here in the states, but he did he had a hot start. He did well across the pond and playing elsewhere. Willie Z back in action? Yeah. You know that I love him. Are you ready to rip it in grip it and rip it again, he ranks first in strokes gained tee to green. So to me, that puts him in the top ten at plus two 50 for sure, easy money, top 20 at plus one O 5. And all in with this one. And I think this is a sneaky good play, and that's Fitzpatrick. I got him in the top 20 at plus one 40 top English player at minus one ten and I wouldn't be like I would not be surprised if he wins it this week, Joe, he comes in hot from the Phoenix open, he gained 7 strokes tee to green and finished top ten at Phoenix and also top 6 of pebble, so he's due to win as well. And this is a track that really fits him to a T so Fitzpatrick that has to be one of my favorite plays for him to finish in the top 20 at plus one 40. I think that's easy money right there. Excellent work as always. Let me try it again. She's, I need a more fine Joe Ford and ball. We'll be teaming up today on bet. You can catch that at 4 p.m. eastern on all of ESPN streaming channels. We'll be teaming up with Doug Kazarian on daily wager today, ESPN2 at 6 p.m.. Eastern, but for the podcast, that's a wrap. Thanks for checking us out. "I'm Doug Kazarian flying solo here on the podcast, very significant day as Tom Brady officially announces his retirement. We kind of knew this obviously over the weekend, but something that we are keeping an eye on is the betting opportunity. So I want to go through a couple of things. One is starting college basketball. This will be my dog of the day later on daily wage. I don't have the exact stats in front of me in terms of ATS. But one thing I've always enjoyed over the years is fading duke and fading Carolina, the game before they play each other. So they obviously play each other twice a year so you get an opportunity like that midweek because they always play each other on like Saturday. So Louisville is hosting Carolina. So things I usually do is like maybe first half Louisville, it works great when it's like a double digit spread, like a sleepy opponent where dukes like lane 12 and a half at wake or something like that, you just grab all the points and do barely shows up and then that's like come back and win. This is different Louisville is a good team, obviously new coach. I'm gonna grab first half Louisville. You can maybe do some North Carolina team total unders, things like that, but the situation I just like to play it, it's just not a monster play because it's not one of those double digit spreads that we like so much. So somebody in mind it will be my dog of the day though later on, I'll discuss it more and hopefully we'll have some more numbers in terms of over the years. And then duke tomorrow will not be a monster favorite, either, but I'm gonna fade them as well. MBA, couple things here, it's a little bit lighter card than we had yesterday. And I know Memphis that was just a wild game Philly played great, give them a lot of credit. First thing I want to talk about is Spencer Dinwiddie. He's been great with the points plus assist plus rebounds prop when deal is out. We know Beale is going to miss some time for Washington. Now they could get blown out and maybe a fourth quarter he sits or something like that. But I think he'll get enough run, especially he's on the trade blocks, maybe that'll help, but bucks are 11 and a half point favorites at home, but I'll take the wizards in terms of Dinwiddie the least get enough minutes there to go over his points plus assists plus rebounds. The one side I like and it was overnight O's around three now it's four and a half. Don't love it as much, but I'm still gonna lay it with Minnesota. There's some fours out there too. I grab it T wolves obviously much better team than people realize they just waxed Utah. Although Utah has been struggling of late, I just like what they're doing Denver has Utah tomorrow. I don't know if it's I'm not going to say it to look ahead play, but it's one of these for whatever reason up for whatever reasons, but the T ws don't get everyone's best effort. And not best effort, but they're not one of these marquee franchises that everyone gets up for so the T wolves went healthy, can really lay it on you and play well. Phoenix, lane 5 and a half to Brooklyn, obviously the nets are capable. But this sun's team is just so explosive so dynamic they've been playing great. Biambo has been filling it nicely in the middle with 8 and out. There's just a lot to like with Phoenix. It's hard for me to get off that train. Golden State San Antonio Tyler always talks about the overs whenever the spurs are at home. That number is two 23 and a half. I'm not going to get involved, but I certainly it's certainly caught my attention and Orlando and Chicago. 9 9 points is a lot. I'm not going to lay it. I would consider taking it. And the New Orleans Detroit pelicans played really well down the stretch with the Cavs gave him a run for their money. They're now going to Detroit. I can't get involved in that game. So there's not a lot of like not a lot to like on this car, Toronto's playing better, laying two and a half at home to Miami. I got to check who's playing for the heat. That's always much more significant than anything. But that's sort of my breakdown of the card. I like that one play in college as I mentioned, but there's a few variants variations of how to play it. I would go first half team total under for UNC. I would also play Louisville first half on the side and then for later today I'm gonna do dog of the day. That's the thing that jumps out to most unless something changes there with some of these NBA underdogs and maybe some last minute handicapping. But in general, it is tough to get too far ahead. I mean, yesterday I was lucky that I got Memphis plus three and then beads out. I just like the spot for the grizzlies. Of course, you get the last second millisecond lay in by maxi to push the plus three, went to overtime, just a crazy games, huge swings down the stretch there in terms of point spread hijinks. But that'll do it for this pod. We'll see you later today. 6 eastern on ESPN2, we were off yesterday. We'll be back on usual schedule the rest of the week..

"So the games are still going on on this particular Sunday, but Sam, this is the moment it seems like when all these risk analysts are deciding to put out their sort of IPO almost, like their initial public offering on the next week's slate of games, like this is when their read of the market turns into actual stakes with people putting down real money. Yeah, that's exactly right Pablo. And even though it feels like a huge thing I mean, it is a huge thing. It's that the first chance for everybody to get their money down on this next week set of games and a lot of ways I was struck by how incredibly casual the whole thing was. All right, I got two and a half and 45. I have three and 44. I've got three and 45 and a half. And each of the guys calls out their line. I got rams headed 47. I have ten and 48. 9 and a half. With no jokes? There's literally not a single mention that we heard of a strategy for the most part. There were almost no players mentioned. There was no like DVO way or any of these advanced stats mentioned. And they were always so close to each other that setting the actual line wasn't difficult. But I think that they'll take the ride. I made it Cleveland three when Cleveland was up by two touchdowns. They've given up three touchdowns in the last 5 minutes. This is like the beginning of the dance, right? Between the professional betters, the casual betters and the books in terms of how the markets move, how the line changes. So our lines are up now. So basically what's going to happen here is one of these offshore accounts is going to start putting up. Essentially, they'll take our lines, put their opinion into it. And then others will copy and then so here they go right now. Are you guys like first? Yeah, we're always first in the NFL. And they'll be able to tell by how the pros bet, whether they need to make adjustments. It's one of these things that as a sports fan, we sort of take it for granted. We hear about a line move man or the over under or whatever. But to be able to see it in action, here's how the lines made, and here's how that dance begins. It was pretty cool. Now obviously, Sam, gambling does come with risk, and I want to say right here that if you or someone you know has had problems stopping gambling, there is a national helpline for that. It is one 805 two two four 7 zero zero. But for the adult Sam who are aware of all of these risks, and they want to play bets. What should those listeners keep in mind, do you think? Navigating all of this. You know Pablo, I think there's a couple of things that they should keep in mind. And I've been thinking about this a lot. I think the first thing is that they have to rise that they are a incredibly tiny, tiny, tiny minnow in an increasingly giant pond. And so what they do within the context of that massive landscape is really a very small small part of the larger business, right? Like it's unlikely that a, they're going to get really, really, really, really rich. And also unlikely B, that what they do is going to have a material impact on Ed or Jeff or any of the sports books that they're going to be involved in betting. I think the second thing to keep in mind is that it's really hard. While we think as sports fans we know what's going to happen to a given team or in a given game, the reality is is that there are a lot of really smart people who are looking at how to set up these betting markets and beating the betting market is really difficult. And Doug our colleague, Doug Kazarian, he gave you another way to look at all this, Sam, not even as winning or losing money. When we were hanging out with Doug, he made the point that a lot of times when casual bettors think about money lost, they get upset. They get frustrated about betting on sports. But if they were to think about it as money spent, nobody gets upset once you decide, oh yeah, I'm gonna pay this price and I'm gonna go have this experience. To me, there's no difference between going to the bar and having a bucket of beers with your two buddies, then there is, if you go to the bar and watch a game, you each put in like ten bucks and have a $30 parlay on something. You literally have a shared experience with a little bit more intrigue on some things or rooting interests and then you could alcohol. Imagine if you paid your 15 bucks to go to a movie and depending on how the movie ends, you might win a prize. People wouldn't be frustrated if they didn't win a prize, they still enjoyed the movie. That's the different element here. And I think generally a casual better would probably have a little bit more enjoyable experience than if they were to get so wrapped up in whether they won or lost money on the game itself. Sandboard and I figured that this is the point in the podcast where I hit you with like a bunch of puns about Vegas while saying thank you so instead I will simply tell you good job. Under the sharp betters of the under, they came through yet again. Thank you very much for having me. I'm Pablo Toure this has been ESPN daily. "I'm Doug Kazarian joined this morning by Joe forton ball. It's like a Friday but on a Wednesday. Yeah, you could say it like that. I'm so stoked. It's obviously we're a day before. Thanksgiving with the tapings here and there's a lot we can cover for the weekend. But as is tradition from each and every year, I will have our action on all three games Kazarian. I do not take a day off when it comes to Thanksgiving. I will play all three games, including the egg bowl. That'll make four. I did not realize that was a fort and bought tradition. Egg bowl, a couple of years ago was my biggest bet of the year and I talked about it on SportsCenter. I was in Connecticut, I got up and emailed producers on Tuesday or Wednesday. I need to do the egg bull pick Thursday morning. I wasn't pad the record. And we got there. We did get there. Was that the one with the fake peeing in the end zone that led to the penalty? The plus one. No. That was the one where it was like -9 and I did have that right side though. So they missed the extra point because the extra but it was the year before that I believe that was like, I was laying like 7, I think, and they won by ten or 13, but it should have been like a 30 point win. But probably won't tell the story otherwise, but it was funny because I just had to get there and I told a bunch of people that you know, one of those, like you tell everyone, this is like your game of the year. Oh yeah. I do not have a game of the year on the 8 ball this year. Maybe you do, we shall see. Let's obviously tomorrow Thanksgiving, a lot going on. I only have one play for the ESPN dot com chalk section. It's going to be probably a pretty popular one, although maybe not incredibly popular because it's split over Thursday and Sunday. But I am going to do the teaser with Dallas and New England. I just love what the Patriots are doing. It's self explanatory, 5 straight wins, 5 straight covers, the defense changing. We talked about it last week playing more zone twice as much as they were before that and they have the best defense. Rating wise in this span. So we'll see what Tennessee off the loss, but they're limited, right on offense. I am a little worried about Dallas, the injuries, no Maurice Cooper. There's chance at CD lamb comes back and raiders will play well at some point. They have too much talent, but they just don't have it right now. Three straight losses, three straight losses, ATS as well. So I think Dallas bounces back from the loss at arrowhead. I like the teams apply. I'll be with you as well, buffalo and New England. Here's a Thanksgiving card for me. We'll start with the morning. I'm leaning to the Lions plus three if Jared Goff plays. I think there's a lot of trouble lurking for the bears. They're a mess this week with are they firing that naggy after this game? Are they not? They've never fired a coach in season before. So I'm leaning to Detroit, but I got to have golf. I don't want to play it with boil. One play I do have Deandre swift over 64 and a half rushing yards. The bears are gonna be without Khalil Mack and should be without akeem hicks when hicks isn't in the lineup, the run defense goes to crap. Three games without him this year. They're giving up a 125 yards per game on the ground. And this is something that if you go back over the last few years, it holds true as well. Swift has been killing it the last two weeks. 47 carries for 266 yards. He averaged 9 yards per carry against the browns last weekend. I like him to go over 64 and a half rushing yards in the first game. Game number two, I'm gonna play the under in that matchup between the raiders and the cowboys. It's sitting at 51 right now. I think that's too high. I think it's too high. I could see the Raiders since the Raiders released Henry ruggs 16 points against the Giants. 14 points against the chiefs, 13 points against the bangles. Their averaging 326 yards per game. The offense has no pop anymore. They don't have rugs to stretch the field and open up Waller underneath. They have been pathetic on offense. Dallas is going to be without Amari Cooper, could be without like you mentioned CD lamb due to the concussion under his cash and four straight cowboys games. So I'm looking at under 51. Dallas might handle their end of the bargain. I'm not expecting a whole lot from the Raiders. In the night game, I'm looking at a couple things here. One prop that stands out to me is Josh Allen throwing an interception. It's minus one O 5. He's had an interception in four of his last 5 games. He's at an interception in four of 5 road games this year. You got the crowd noise. You got short week. You got the pressure to bounce back. New Orleans has 11 picks this year that's 8 most in the NFL. Allen's been forcing The Rock. He's regressed a little bit this season. That colts game was a disaster for him. And as he's feeling the pressure, you get this guy in a third and long. He feels like he has to make it all up with his arm. Sometimes he won't take what the defense gives him. I think he throws a pick in this game. When it comes to the game itself, I do lean to the under. I'll probably play under 46 points. Buffalo off a loss giving up just 9 points per game this season. I think you get a good defensive bounce back. I don't expect a whole lot from the saints offense, but I do think the bills offense could be limited because of the crowd noise the short week and a good saint's defense. So recapping the card real quick, Deandre swift over 64 and a half rush yards early. I leaned in a lion's plus three of golf plays. I like the Raiders cowboys going under 51. I like Josh Allen throwing at least one interception at minus one O 5 and under 46 points between the bills and the saints. All right, so no egg bowl for you. You know, the Lions. Do you want me to throw this? Sorry. I was going to say the lion's bears gains really interesting. Do you think the bears get the win? I am a little skeptical here. No, I don't. That's why I'm leading to the Lions. It boils plays. I'm not going to have anything on the side, but if golf plays, it's not. I mean, I think Dalton's a capable backup. But the thing with this is, I think the lions have known forever. This is the game they could win. The bears are a mess. That's my point..

"Welcome to the daily wager podcast presented by DraftKings America's top rated daily fantasy app. I'm Doug Kazarian alongside Tyler folding this morning as we put another week in the NFL to bed. The chief's survive, but they do not get the cover, some drama, the end last night, but we turned the page of the World Series after the Astros survived forced the game 6 as the series shifts back to Houston, Houston a short favorite here, although it's getting up there a little bit -1.35 Tyler. Yeah, this is been a difficult World Series for me. The trend I'm going to try and ride that I noticed from games one and two in Houston now that the series has returned to that venue is the first 5 over. The game two went over the 9 inning total game one was a run short of cash in and 8 and a half, but both games had to think 6 or 7 runs through the first 5 innings. So I'm going to ride that trend again, minute maid park was the second. I had the second highest percentage of overs of NA park Major League Baseball this season only Arizona had in higher over percentage. So I'll go first, 5 over with both of these offenses coming off a game, which they hit the ball well. I'll ride that trend that was two O games one and two. Yeah, I'm on the over for the game. Really pitching has just been deteriorating for lack of a better word. The bullpen has been they're just kind of spent, and we've seen this in past World Series two. It just gets to the point where the season is carried on pretty long. And I'm gonna go over here. I do trust max fried a little bit. So if I had to play a little bit on the money line, I would take the braves to close things out tonight. But at the other day, I'm on the over 8 and a half as well. In the NBA, one game stands out to me Tyler. I know you're interested in this site as well. But I like the heat. It's up to two and a half now. Mavs are short. No cleaver, maybe no porzingis, but I think just Miami seems awesome. One loss. They've been so dominant. They're so deep now that tuckers on that roster. I just really like Miami. So I'll lay the short number on the road here. Yeah, I'm with you in liking the Miami Heat laying two and a half against Dallas, Miami has been one of the better teams in the NBA this season. I also like the bucks land four on the road against the pistons. You probably wondering why that's such a short number against the pistons, no Chris Middleton? No, drew holiday. The bucks have lost three games in a row and they've been wildly disappointing, obviously it's very, very small sample size. But if the season ended right now, they'd be way out of the Eastern Conference playoff picture. So I think Giannis puts the onus on his shoulders to go out there and dominate. Probably the weakest team in the NBA certainly the weakest team in the Eastern Conference. I'll lay the four there. Also like the sons lay in 11 and a half to big number against the pelicans, but again, the pelicans are about as bad as the Detroit Pistons are. The sun's too have had a slow start to this season, but at home, they were such a good team against the spread last season. I think they'll go out there. And dominate a New Orleans team. That's just hasn't been any good and it's still waiting for Zion Williamson to come back. One game that I don't know what to do with is rockets Lakers. These two teams play two nights ago at Staples Center. Lakers won by ten, but it was a 95 85 game. We seen a lot of unders so far this season Doug. That's kind of been the trim as we only have one game on the slate with a total north of two 20. Last year it felt like every game was north of two 20 and we had some games that were well into the two 30s when two fast paced teams went at it. So seeing the rockets and the Lakers at just two 17, despite the fact that they combined for just a 180 points two days ago, thinking about sprinkling a little bit on the over there kind of zigging when everyone else is zagging. But I was certainly wouldn't blame you at all for taking unders across the board and just kind of letting this trend right out as my best guest Doug is that the way that the officiating is changing benefiting defenses is helping keep games way under the total. So if you like that trend if you think that's something that's real, which I kind of do, maybe it was a weird, a weird 95 85 victory for the Lakers two days ago, the two teams had a day off and they play in the same venue back to back. Two 17 is reasonable. But I wouldn't blame anyone else for just all 5 games going under because if you've done that so far the season you've been very profitable. The bucks pistons under is the one game that I had circled just with the thin offensive output for Milwaukee. And the pistons by nature just depend off its output. Can't let you go without a little max and we'll talk more about these games later tonight and daily wagers 6 eastern on ESPN2, but.

"Podcast you're in this on the final sunday night of the nfl. season september. i should say and specify that and another wild day here. We are weak three. I'm doug kazarian playing a little hurt today sore throat earache. But we're going to be fine. Because i have a compadres that we had last weekend researcher. Extraordinaire mackenzie creamer. How are you my friend. While the great day of football the my jets game destroyed it again. Ryder cut the supporting some baseball tonight. A great day sports but obviously raina talk football. So let's get on with it. yeah. I'm a little upset and look i had the niners. I had no no no chance to win. I think people got a little carried away with what a great game was great. Finish in terms of excitement but we got to have a better way to figure out the officiating and all this other nonsense it should be someone from above. There's gotta be a better way for this multi multi multibillion dollar industry to resolve this of these phantom calls and nonsense. The packers should've won comfortably in this game. Now they got the win. That's all that matters for their playoff hopes but it was. The niners never had a clean drive. It was phantom call on third and long and we just just a bunch of nonsense throughout the game referee in the nfl is always dicey. I mean you're the most famous thing couple years ago. Gene star to bring out the index card to determine a first down so as shows just how to high tech this multibillion dollar industry is so yeah you hope that at some point they'll figure out a way to make the calls more consistent but as of now we're stuck with what we got mean just the fact that we have the chain gang is kind of comical but anyways i don't want to go on a total ramp but anyways rogers incredible. We've seen him. And then we saw the raiders on opening weekend monday night to go to field goal range with no timeouts and there may be another team that i just can't think of we. It's remarkable to see him do that and that was at the end of the day. That's all justin tucker sixty six yarder remarkable blown delay of game situation there. A lot of head scratching plays but obviously a lot of excitement as well. Let's recap just from a macro approach. How the day was for the better. In terms of some ats performances. Yes so it was a great day for under. So if you're under better you would have gone eleven and four hundred this week. Obviously it was eleven and three heading into the senate i- game which was one of the four overs home team seven and eight against the spread underdogs one again for the third straight week. They are nine and six eighty s this week. Thirty and seventeen against the spread on the season with twenty one. Straight up wins. That's one shy of the most. In the super bowl era. The twenty one straight up wins road underdogs nineteen three weeks right through three weeks three weeks and home teams this season. Twenty and twenty seven against the spread twenty three and twenty four straight up for home teams. This year's teams have a losing record outright this year at one of the home wins the saints in week. One when they played in jacksonville so not really a a home game there but to me the most interesting trend this week was when you look at the favorites this week I guess there are six nine the favorites this week favorites have at least four points six into against the spread favorites of less than four points between one and three and a half. Oh and seven against the spread one six straight up including the sunday night upset by the packers so The really really rough week for the short favorites this week. I did say the big favorites of at least four point six two against the spread one of the teams that did not cover was the chiefs laying seven against the chargers chargers. Poff the upper outright upset as the biggest upset. We've seen all year. We had a couple of six and a half in the first two weeks but chargers plus seven. That's the biggest upset. The is far the season. We nearly had a seven and a half point dog cash with the lions but as you mentioned earlier justin tucker with breaking the nfl record for the longest field goal kick in nfl history and keeping me alive in my main survivor pool in the process. It's crazy all the people that took the ravens in the eliminated. I will say again that. I've said before dan. Campbell is a moron okay. He called time out on defense. Right somewhat justifiable. After lamar jackson avoided this act and got to the silent. gotta bounce. what did he do during the time out. You went and talk to the wrath and was just kind of like complaining about something instead of pulling teeth inside the young guy saying. Don't let hollywood brown get behind you. You know that might have been the right thing to do. Instead of barking at the refs during the time out. Why did you call the time out to give lamar jackson rest. I don't know he just baffles me. Brand-new dropping another pass every other nonsense. But i want to go back to a couple of things so basically. The short dog's got they're usually. The book takes a lot of wagers from the public. That likes the short favorites. Like the better team laying a short number so that's usually the perception. We'll see how it all comes to fruition. When everything shakes out would you mentioned the underdogs. This is something we have seen the last few years now go back to a year ago. We were trying to do a piece. I wrote a feature about like no fans in the stands. What does that mean for bedding. And we've seen correct me. If i'm wrong the last five years mackenzie when we dug up some of these numbers is that dogs went outright allies like basically fifty fifty the performances That the market is tight. But it's still favors the home team too much. Yeah i mean. I don't feel the i mean you talked more acres than i do but it's definitely not a full three points now for us to be. It's probably one. Yeah i was gonna say too but it made me closer to what at this point. I mean twenty nine thousand nine hundred numbers in front of me. But i know that and twenty nine thousand nine. It was one of the best years for perot teams. We've had in the super bowl era. Which is as far back as we go at. Last year was closer to fifty fifty. But there's no fans in the stands and this year we're seeing a continuation of of row teams doing very well against spread and obviously it depends on what the number is if you're moving from eleven that's different than moving from three to four to six things like that who's been cashing for backers. Obviously the chiefs are only three eighty s. Now who's on the flipside who's delivering so. We have three teams. That are three fred. The denver broncos who played three this year but they've won and covered. All three games are two tomorrow night to go three also three now against the spread on the flip side. You mentioned the cheese. They're not against the spread fourteen. The they're one of the three against the spread teams washington also three against the spread and that the jets and the jaguars so as not really the company you'd expect the chiefs to be with the jets and the jaguars A couple of other notes on. Let's talk about this jaguars game. Because i warned everyone on the jags. I thought it was a horrendous spot for arizona. They win to kind of feeling fat and happy to go to the southeast again after going to tennessee in week one and then just kind of the humidity and just the situational spot and lane. Seven and a half. There is a lot to like dislike about that more than necessarily like with the jags plus the points but the fact that they didn't cover. Jacksonville is kind of remarkable. Yeah we've talked about teams that go into against the spurs in their first three games. They typically cover in in the next game. That didn't really happen this this week. I believe it was one a one in four. Ats this week. For teams started against the spread. We already read off the to fourteen teams covered. The cardinals were one of the most popular teams in terms of just the general public. This week they had the most lopsided split in the end. Caesar's in terms of tickets and money ninety four percent the tickets on.

"Kicking things off three or five Eastern time on CBS, followed by Tampa Bay in New Orleans. 66 40 Eastern Time on Fox. Doug. I'm gonna start with the chief because they're usually the public's betting favorite, the betting, darling, What? Call Whatever you want to call it, But they haven't been covering spreads lately. And when you look back to Week. Nine. I'm not factoring in that game and week 17 when nobody played, But you know, it's a host of tight games 33 31 over Carolina 35 31 over the rent over the Raiders 27 24 over Tampa Bay. The list goes on and on until they get two week 16, so they're not winning a lot of games by more than a touchdown. Um, how should we play this if we're looking at that game? You know, it's funny, cording. Good to be with you guys. It's popular sort of narrative that the Chiefs they're just kind of been disinterested with only one law through their 1st 15 games and those kind of flip the switch and take off from there, But I'm not so sure. Obviously, we gotta remember last year this 16 got Awesome break, But I'm not gonna say lucky, but they talked them break they needed Patriots losing week. 17. In order for them to get the bind. Then they avoided the Ravens, the one seed, and then they were trailing by double digits in the second half. So I think that this year's theme is better and more homes. Is that much better, but I think we should not just assume they're going to steamroll every team and cover these double digit line. I just don't think that cut up fair expecting when you don't have a elite defense, so to speak, So I think the first thing I would do is look at the point. But when you think about How this team has started at times this year and then historically things that have a bye in week 17. Excuse me. Kind of rest their starters. The chosen by if you will intentional by and then also a bye in the playoffs. They start slow, so I think there's an opportunity. Maybe take the Browns first quarter plus three first at plus points, maybe isolate that rust. Factor for the chief, But, um, it is interesting to see how it's gonna play out because the Browns have a lot of weapons and historically when double digit win, teams are catching double digit points. Those underdogs typically covered Divisional playoff game going on right now in progress in Buffalo Bill's lead the Ravens 17 to 3 and Lamar Jackson has been ruled out of this game with a concussion. So the Ravens are in real trouble now, with a backup quarterback going into the game as we talk with Doug Kazarian here on ESPN Radio and the ESPN app Doug. What do you see? With the total in that game? You've got to really high powered offenses. Can they make that number high enough? You know, that's interesting. It's a good point because the brown defense is leaking. Now they're going to get some guys back on that defensive side of the ball. But you wonder. Can they stop this chief machine and then obviously the Browns can run the ball. And then the fancy word consultant play. Actions off that go over is definitely like I think the play if there is a play to be made on the total. I don't think you can play under here just because when there's these high scoring games The Chiefs don't exactly grind clocks of speak even when they protect the lead, So I think the over is the plague and the Browns are gonna be looking to take shots, so to speak. Talking with Doug Kezirian, host of Daily Wager and ESPN abetting analyst Just just one more thing on that. Do you think they were falling like at least like the betting public's falling victim to recency bias? I know that the Browns are red hot right now, and they're coming off that 48 37 game. Last week in the wild card round of the Steelers, but Know is Are we reading too much into that means is that why it's 80% of the money at least 90% of tickets right now on the over for that game. Well, they always do. I mean, that's just recently by Actually, the Browns are getting some tickets, which is pretty rare. But I will say that the overs air usually bet, um and I don't think I do think it is what it is. And I don't I don't really I don't spend too much time worrying about what were the public money is and things like that. I just think that You know what I remember like 57 58%. You're a you're a very successful better. So, um, Public's gonna win a fair amount of well, so I just went read too much into that. It is kind of funny, though, And there is overwhelming percentage is, though it is noteworthy for sure. The Saints and Bucks have already played twice this year. How much can you look to those two prior meetings when evaluating this divisional playoff game tomorrow? You know, there are some kind of memorable situations. I remember the Kabul connection is what I used to sit. Call it. The Tony Rome Oh, and Jason Witten. Those guys went to Kabul in their bye week and then lost. When they played the Giants had they beat them twice in the regular season. But for the most part, typically, that's really appreciate. That has no merit seems that won the first two meetings 14 and eight outright. In the playoffs and then there, but they are 10, 11 and 1/8 yet so the underdog cover a little bit more, but it's just kind of a cliche that really doesn't carry a whole lot of weight. I think it's an interesting matchup, though. Because they haven't played for two months. And anybody who's following football which you guys are clearly this. Tampa Bay just looks different, right? Brady looks sharper. His Yeah. Week. 15 on air travel on deep balls is sharper. He's more accurate completion percentage is higher, so he's better in the long ball since week 15 on and it's certainly that matches with what we're seeing with our eyes, but Thinks or 71 this year against the spread and outright when Michael Thomas plays so now they got him for the playoff run a week ago. They look sharp, obviously covered a week ago, winning by double digits. It's hard to fade that New Orleans thing when they're only having the late three and they should be able to apply the right pressure against Brady. But now that Antonio Brown being incorporate the offense more we assumed Evans is gonna be fine, although he was a little mix up at the end of the last game. There's a little bit of concern, I guess. But Brady's got his weapons if they if he can gonna just stay clean, so to speak. He should be. He should have another productive game. Got about a minute left here. The Green Bay Packers air onto the NFC championship after a 32 18 win over the Rams in the divisional playoffs. Now they were When you're taking a look at the teams that were not as popular eyes picks for the Super Bowl this season. They were certainly among the you know. Most with Buffalo, New Orleans, The Ravens, the Rams, Cleveland of the teams that were still playing this weekend. I know it's early now. But how do you think that win today is gonna factor into how the line's going to be played for them now going into the NFC championship and potential for the Super Bowl odds? Well, so much depends of the chief went now assuming they win. It'll still be the Chiefs of the favorite in the Packers of the second favorite, But there are gonna be at home obviously going to be a decent favorite, maybe three or four, depending on how Tomorrow's winner looks whether the same Starbucks maybe 4.5 of it if it's ugly, kind of win for one of those teams, But there certainly earning the respect that Roger has come a long way right odds on favorite now overwhelming favorite after being a 25 to 1 long shot This summer. So the Packers reminded us something to apply for the Chiefs tomorrow. What? That week off does for that for that first, you know, the divisional round game. Out. Great stuff is always thanks so much for breaking it all down. Thanks so much for having me gonna be with you guys. It was Doug Kazarian, ESPN betting analyst and host of daily Wager,.

"Go ahead. Hashtag bubble. What have you got? Yep. This is from Adam Schefter. And he is saying the Washington football team is ruling out quarterback Alex Smith for something his game against Seattle due to his calf injury per source. Dwayne Haskins will start against the Seahawks. Well, there's two different ways you could look at that. I suppose one of them is it's an enormous advantage to Seattle. Haskins looked. It's just terrible winning, winning last weekend in Seattle Going cross country against a really good defense. It's a big game for them. The other way to look at it as an opportunity for Haskins. Here He is now going to get the chance to start on What is now a good team playing really important game against a bad defense. The Seahawks I believe going into last weekend where the 31st rank defense in the sport. He may have improved after playing the terrible Jets, but they've been a bad defense all year. Haskins has the benefit of a good running game in a really good defense on his own side, So it's a chance for him. Okay. Big news as we head into what should be a great weekend. I hope it is crossing my fingers and my beloved Wildcats in the Big 10 championship game. Good luck tomorrow, guys, go cats, You know that. I'm proud to be purple. "Broken You by progressive insurance in all of our guests join us via the shell Pennzoil. Performance line, Uh, score of days here for you. Washington State is up 19 to 14 over organ. That game is at halftime and with four minutes left in the first half, Wisconsin is up 28 to nothing over Michigan. Let's set out to the shell Pennzoil Performance line and bring in Doug Kazarian from ESPN Daily Wager. Doug, I don't. I'm not sure if you can bet this or not, But with all the games that were canceled at any point was Vegas, taking bets on the amount of college football games that would be canceled weekend in week out. No, no, they were not. It's just like that. You can kind of maybe doing some goofy places in the offshore market, but you can't specifically do that. But it is a factor when you look at some of the future's best, right. You know, with Ohio State getting the game canceled. Justin Field is among the favorites for the Heisman Trophy. So you have to wonder if other games air canceled on their schedule. Is he gonna have enough of a resume? What? How are voters going to approach that when there's a guy like You know, Mac Jones out there was playing almost every game. Although the Alabama Mr Ellis you game this weekend, but it could be rescheduled. We shall see down the road. But in terms of the college football playoff committee, Ohio State's among the favorites as well. How many games so they're gonna have. You would think an undefeated Buckeye steam with the Big 10 Championship will get there. But you just don't know if they don't have enough games. And there's other, more deserving teams. So You can incorporate it into the futures market, but not not this straight straight bets on that. Doug, I got to tell you every time I see you guys now a daily wage or set. The level of jealousy is like it's everybody in America. It's incalculable. It's It's really incalculable. But you guys did a great job out there, so it looks beautiful. Uh, let's talk about tomorrow terms the NFL. Are there certain Plays you like. Let me ask you this way are the bills do you like the bill's getting three points in Arizona? Let's just say, Let's ask your thoughts and where. Where's the where? Tell us. Give me a breakdown on that. Yeah, No, it's interesting for the fact that it's gone up to a full three points. I think the Buffalo will be the right side. I forget the exact number,.

"We've got the U. S open coming up a little bit later. Taylor's Ours are from serious extreme golf is going to join. Matt Wolf is incredible. Young kid early twenties shot 65 yesterday. I think he hit like two fairways at wing foot, which is out of control. He's got a two stroke lead over your favorite golfer in the world, Katie Bryson de Shambo that coming up going to be an unbelievable finish like it's gonna be great to watch the end of the U. S open and watch what the end of the three PM game's over on the NFL today, like I'm extremely excited about that. Do we feel like Bryson has it in them to finish? That's the question. Um, last night, he did an interview walking back from the parking lot says I'm going to go to the range. Then I'm going to drink a protein drink and work out. Then I'm going to eat a steak, and then I'm going to play fortnight. So the fact that he ended the night with fortnight means Bryce. Andy Shambo is probably gonna be aggressive, and I think he's going to struggle. But maybe that's what the odds are over in Vegas, right. Our ESPN betting analysts and up early Aziza hose from daily wage You're there in Las Vegas. Doug Kazarian friend of the program here, Doug, Let's start with that. I mean, I was going to start with NFL but us open odds right now. Matt Wolf. He's one before. So where we at it? Where's the money coming in from the U. S open golf stuff. Good to be with you guys. I'm curious mind like the first live guests you had on the West Coast. I like it. But I am that Matthew is the favorite plus 1 50 So obviously I know guys who got him 150 to 1. And here he is, with leads of easier adjusted price leaders readjusted odds, which is something they do after every round, especially the big tournament, And then the Sambo's right behind with, plus 2 25, So it's a little over. 2 to 1. And then the next day, Xander softly at 8 to 1, and then we go down the list so forth. So sometimes the guy with the lead is not the overall favorite because maybe someone who's more established right behind him like D J or something like that. But in this case, the Wolf is the favorite. Right now. It is interesting with no crowds. I think that actually helps him in the fact that if you had a traditional crowd over at wing foot, especially in New York, where people would be heckling, and I know it might really help Bryson is well, too. I'm sure people will be absolutely heckling Bryson, but that's not going to be the Jay's. Kenny and I were discussing it earlier when you stalk about where Vegas has liability, and she was trying to say, you know, like, you know, Katie, I was explaining it to you. Nobody better than they explained it to Doug Kazarian. What's the biggest liability on the books when it comes to NFL Week two for Vegas? So, Yeah, Basically, these books have to manage their liabilities. So when stuff gets over the top crazy in terms of one sided action, they have to adjust the odds. And you know, protect themselves and that's facing what they're doing some of their job titles or risk manager and not necessarily oddsmaker. They're basically bookmakers, sometimes more than they are odds makers and they know how to take certain bets and just kind of balance sheets of speak. They're not completely you're bankrupt on one play. Now with that being said they also stay with the market sometimes mind state. They can't just go minus 10. Then they'll get all plus 10 money and things like that. So what is the answer right now is all about the Kansas City Chiefs. Now they're not the only answer this weekend. You have a lot of quote unquote good teams on the road. Laying points and the public loves road favorites, especially wants a short number. Do they think Hey, better team Small number delay. I'll take them. But the Cannes City chiefs are the darling right now of the NFL, and obviously, for good reason there. Locomotives, so to speak, and then they have Super Bowl chance. And in the face of the NFL on Patrick Mahomes, get this guys They've covered 10 straight games, winning 10 Straits one thing Covering 10, straight dating back to last year's playoffs is another. That is the tide for the third longest cover streak in NFL history and 14 the records so 10 gives you perspective where they are, but most books or looking at 90% of the money on that Chiefs at Chargers game. Is on Kansas City. So certainly liable there. What is they know who has that record? You said 14 games, is it? Is it patriots with great question? Yeah. The 85 patriots, the one that got smoked in the Superbowl by the Bears. Wow, we're the team that had covered 14 straight entering that game. So going off of that What line has moved the most this week as we get ready to kick off at one So Sundays where we see a lot of movement. You see a little movement earlier in the week, But what happens is the limits are a lot lower earlier in the week, so it doesn't take a ton of action, so to speak. To move the line. It's more like a respected bed, especially with technology. Now Big flagged account put him in different categories. It's not just a person acts walking up to the counter, but it's all about you know, certain lines moving. We'll see a ton move in the next few hours leading up until kickoff, But it's something we've talked about a bunch of key numbers right so from a three to a 3.5 Is really significant because about 14% of NFL games over the last five years that landed exactly three so those key numbers, which are obviously correlated to the typical margins of victory, and also just the units of scoring in terms of field goals. And touchdowns like the Eagles and Rams kind of had the movement around picking, which doesn't really matter a whole lot. But what's interesting is there's something called a look a headline so You can bet, like,.

"Little taste of it. Wait do this every week during the football season. This's the amateur competition in terms of the picking of the NFL games we used in college again. This offense to that. Yeah, You're right. You did You won last year here. Are you guys, We're not pros. Doug Kazarian is a problem at this. We're not. Would you like me to consider you a pro? Three amateurs in there's Chris. He's a problem. We'll make some pics. Are we going to do the meat that Yeah, I mean, well, I think like we I think we can throw in between 25 $30 a guy, Okay? Why don't we do 27 50 And you know, because because there's only three of us here right now we need a general consensus amongst the group. I don't want to pick a number 25 30 throwing a $50 wagered in Sylvia's like now. What would he say it like that? I don't know. I don't think that's a bit rude on his Friday off. What are you doing? What you're doing, by the way. This is typical Sylvie, right? It's the first Friday before the NFL season. Don't do that this year. Really way can we could still do your job. I was texting with him earlier trying to get his picks for today. And he you know, he had a hit A rough night. Always did a rough job. He knows that we're you know, we love him. And we're just busting marvels. Did he did? He did have a rough night? Yeah. I don't think you got to enjoy that every no. Yeah, well, I mean, I still I think when he started believing it better I think you'll be comfortable with the $25 Bet a guy can comfortably go 20. Yeah, yeah, 24 time out, like listen. They're all of the chat is still debating the merits of frozen. It's great. Listen, everybody's different. I'm not telling you like I don't I'm not a huge, expensive pizza guy. Just frozen pizza is not really the thing. Well, it's chicken nuggets in the freezer Got, you know, I had a lot of stuff in a frozen chicken nuggets in a minute, man. Chicken tenders Navy I got frozen sausage in the freezer. So you know what I love bagel bites. When the pendant with a pandemic started, and we're all like buyable the food and I went to target your pocket guy. Probably too. I don't like no no. Do you eat those weird? Gideon J's are in the Little Circosta. Bols those? No. You like Lunchables? Yes, Lunchables when you're higher when you're not high Well, I suppose I wasn't high because I was I was a youngster. So know what you just when I said, do you like young launching balls? He almost dove through the glass, like from my youth. Okay, All right. So this is what we're going to do. We're going to kick in 25. Right? You go to that, Chris. You're good with it, Adam. Okay, so the winner is gonna have $75. And you gave me a hard time. Get me a hard time wasn't even close. Okay, so the winner's gonna have $75 meets your desiccated on whatever they way I meet certificate or a bucket of me. Whatever it is, you can't spend like, Okay. I only wanted $60 and meet. I'm going to spend 15 chips and everything else. All $75 has to be spent on meat combination. But what if, like, can I get sandwiches? No, no, maybe Straight up me. Nothing so I could go across the street to check filling. It's $75 worth of nuggets. Well, I mean, yeah, if you're buying it from a restaurant, but I think what Elin I RM or envisioning into your local gone to a butcher saying Hey, Watch me up some meat. Is it because a butcher that butchers don't butch me? I've never heard that phrase fishermen today. The butcher's butch throwers throw, but I mean, what did you just pinch hitters? Pitchers hit? What That's right. Which is the catch. Catch. Catch Butchers putsch. What do you know What? I don't see what this is so fun. Basic smoker. Smoke. Drink this drink. You know what? I think you've made your case, Which is bunch from now on. That's a rule, which is bush. Like like, you know what? Once you pushed me up some flays over there, Mr Butcher. All right, so we're good, right? We made them eat better way. Okay, so we're gonna have to choose one game. We like one game We love and one game jazz taste of what is there scoring this year? The scoring is you get three points for a love to points for alike. And one point for a taste. Check this butt and ah, we if you push Do we do? We award points for pushes or No. You're a pusher, you polish. If you push you push, And don't tell me pushing is like kissing your sister because no one wants to kiss their sister. "Of the closest poll questions we've had this year will reintroduce that here in the five o'clock hour. I still have to share my gambling story of all bets on my first day. I was gifted one yesterday, the first one that I've legally done on count like if it was a gift That really doesn't mean accounts in your in your account balance. But do you really consider that? Hey, guys, listen, I wanna bet yesterday I draft kings they were offering the Lakers on Kobe Bryant Day 8 24. They were offering the Lakers plus 81 points. So they basically gifted you. You could bet as much as 50 bucks, which I obviously dead and you won 45. So they bait. What Draftkings basically did yesterday was for anybody. This wasn't for new uses. It was good for anybody. All you had to do. It was opt in and pick the Lakers, and it was glorious was that karma's best play on odds, Couple? Probably It was my best play ever. And it was the day that I didn't need the 81 points because the Lakers won going away and it was and there was a time when I thought that may have been in jeopardy. Hold the Siri's No, No, no, no. I mean, like in the first quarter, they were up 25. So that equates to have their up 25 every quarter. You could have lost that know the Lakers were given 20 0. I thought they were minus. What was the Lakers minus 81 or Plus 81? It was like Ouaziz bed, Evers. Plus anyone They gifted you $45. There was no way they were gonna blow it. So that that was. Ah, It was a good promotion and I've got it handy now and maybe I'll do it. You know what you're gonna bet on. I think I'm going to start gambling Mohr during games live betting, because by the way, Kudos to Doug Kazarian. He was just re upped ESPN local guy and a guy who has been on our show a lot. I slid into his DMS to congratulate. Did you nice? He's moving to Vegas to they're moving the gambling show to Vegas. And like he's gotten me into more live gambling. So it's just another way for me to lose more money now, But I'm like you just keep it like just for fun Just for interest. 10 20 bucks a time. Yeah, that I'm gonna bet like market. I'm just getting like Just just to keep it fun. You're exactly right just to have some to sign up to. Yeah, it's really good. And we're both draftkings guys. Let's bring in Jesse Rogers right now. Who joins us to talk? Some Cubs joins us on the Corona hotline. What's going on, Jesse? Feeling good boys. How about you guys were doing well, I felt much better. After yesterday's game. I was happy. The Cubs salvaged one anyone possible against the White Sox and I don't care like I'm not one of these guys where I need the Cubs to be the number one power ranked team because they're beating the best teams in a year where the Central is playing the central or win against a team that you're playing. Is a win, and I don't need it to be a beauty contest. Yeah, it's a good point. But, you know, Tommy, you brought this up during their first little run when they were playing well, they really weren't beating good teams. Are we in that mode? Right now They're playing the Tigers. Now The Reds are supposed to be good. That's who's next. They're not very good. And after that, and the pirate's not very good So, Yeah, I get it. You're right. It's not a beauty contest, but you do try to extract extrapolated towards October. Can they beat the good teams based on the way they're playing and they play like last night? Yes. Getting hits with runners on base, something we talked about you guys talked about yesterday. That's great, but you just wonder if they're good enough to beat the good teams, and I think that's a that's a good question. It's a good question, but let's not let's not dismiss the fact that they're beating the teams. They should be. Hey, aforementioned Reds are not doing that. For example, The Brewers, for the most part, are not doing that. They just got swept by the Pirates before last night. So it's that has half glass half full or half empty perspective about the Cubs. And don't you think we've had it for the last couple of years with this team? They're good, but You know, you just don't know I'm with you, Jess, I I put their chances of getting to the post season of 100% late last week. I just don't know how damn good they are. I wouldn't put my money on them taking a deep ride into the postseason. But who knows? What is that? What do you expect? Kin? Tana toe, actually do now that he's back. Will he be in the bullpen exclusively? Will he make starts? What is your expectation? Neither will start in the bullpen. Just feel about field out a little bit Extraction mount a little a cz Well, and then he'll make a few starts. I mean, they have to double headers coming up over the next two Saturdays, So let's say, get some work in today. Today's Tuesday It would fit that he might start one of those seven any doubleheaders on Saturday against the Cincinnati Reds because it's not going through 100 pitches tonight. So that is a possibility. I do think he's going to find his way back in that rotation somehow, but I think you gotta leave yourself open. They don't have a lot of lefties in the bullpen. If he has success there, he's only made four appearances in his career out of the pen..
