"Go ahead. Hashtag bubble. What have you got? Yep. This is from Adam Schefter. And he is saying the Washington football team is ruling out quarterback Alex Smith for something his game against Seattle due to his calf injury per source. Dwayne Haskins will start against the Seahawks. Well, there's two different ways you could look at that. I suppose one of them is it's an enormous advantage to Seattle. Haskins looked. It's just terrible winning, winning last weekend in Seattle Going cross country against a really good defense. It's a big game for them. The other way to look at it as an opportunity for Haskins. Here He is now going to get the chance to start on What is now a good team playing really important game against a bad defense. The Seahawks I believe going into last weekend where the 31st rank defense in the sport. He may have improved after playing the terrible Jets, but they've been a bad defense all year. Haskins has the benefit of a good running game in a really good defense on his own side, So it's a chance for him. Okay. Big news as we head into what should be a great weekend. I hope it is crossing my fingers and my beloved Wildcats in the Big 10 championship game. Good luck tomorrow, guys, go cats, You know that. I'm proud to be purple. "Broken You by progressive insurance in all of our guests join us via the shell Pennzoil. Performance line, Uh, score of days here for you. Washington State is up 19 to 14 over organ. That game is at halftime and with four minutes left in the first half, Wisconsin is up 28 to nothing over Michigan. Let's set out to the shell Pennzoil Performance line and bring in Doug Kazarian from ESPN Daily Wager. Doug, I don't. I'm not sure if you can bet this or not, But with all the games that were canceled at any point was Vegas, taking bets on the amount of college football games that would be canceled weekend in week out. No, no, they were not. It's just like that. You can kind of maybe doing some goofy places in the offshore market, but you can't specifically do that. But it is a factor when you look at some of the future's best, right. You know, with Ohio State getting the game canceled. Justin Field is among the favorites for the Heisman Trophy. So you have to wonder if other games air canceled on their schedule. Is he gonna have enough of a resume? What? How are voters going to approach that when there's a guy like You know, Mac Jones out there was playing almost every game. Although the Alabama Mr Ellis you game this weekend, but it could be rescheduled. We shall see down the road. But in terms of the college football playoff committee, Ohio State's among the favorites as well. How many games so they're gonna have. You would think an undefeated Buckeye steam with the Big 10 Championship will get there. But you just don't know if they don't have enough games. And there's other, more deserving teams. So You can incorporate it into the futures market, but not not this straight straight bets on that. Doug, I got to tell you every time I see you guys now a daily wage or set. The level of jealousy is like it's everybody in America. It's incalculable. It's It's really incalculable. But you guys did a great job out there, so it looks beautiful. Uh, let's talk about tomorrow terms the NFL. Are there certain Plays you like. Let me ask you this way are the bills do you like the bill's getting three points in Arizona? Let's just say, Let's ask your thoughts and where. Where's the where? Tell us. Give me a breakdown on that. Yeah, No, it's interesting for the fact that it's gone up to a full three points. I think the Buffalo will be the right side. I forget the exact number,.

These these behind the bat. Welcoming the latest behind the best podcasts. Doug kazarian? We're taping. This on Thursday, November eighth talking NFL with John Murray of the super book out at the west gate in Las Vegas. And then obviously mad props with Mike Clare NFL fantasy football inside or get into all that. And we have a shoutout to Kate Fagin. Does a great job for ESPN. Also, she and I chatted during a commercial break on outside the lines. We were hosting co for Friday for a couple of Fridays ago. And she had a great analogy. I'm gonna run it by Murray about white coaches make these conservative decisions those really creative. They're we'll talk more about last week's head scratchers the sports books. Get pounded victory for the betting public. And then we'll also do a little bonanza where I've sizable lead over John Murray despite my middle attempts not coming to fruition. Although I did not get burned. That's the that's the most important thing while they did not stick the middle. I did not get anything. I'd have to take anything on. The chin. So let's get to it. He started his ticket writer ahead. Got a lot higher here in the last hour. Now, he's a racing sports. Book director, I have the guys at work. Your call me, Mr. director and not looking directly into my eyes. People brought in a whole new staff this year, it kind of Seinfeld esque move where we just rotate the guys the material doesn't get stale in between hot tub and ESPN. We may have to change that because any truth to the rumor, John that, you know, all the higher ups have been axed following last Sunday. And you're the only man left standing. No, no, no, you know, as bad as Sunday was we did very well on Monday night football. The titans winning outright was huge. And we really rallied on Sunday nights. We did very well on the Sunday night game. The game went under the total. And we did very well in the secondary markets like we had a lot of money on the Packers team total over we had a lot of money on the first half over with a lot of money on Brady over two and a half touchdowns. And I think he finished with one. So the Sunday night game was a very good result for us in the Monday night game was a great result for us. We actually one more money on Monday than we lost on Sunday. Wow. But that's you guys you weren't as it wasn't as much of a bloodbath at the super book on Sundays was other other shops. The ten AM games were awful. What we did. Well in the afternoon, we would have done better Denver at beat Houston in that game. But we did very well on the sandy out of San Diego. The the LA chargers and the Seahawks game that game went under the total. That was a very good result for us. We had a lot of money on the over in that game the game almost went over the they call it a ridiculous pass interference call or put the ball but one yard line. And luckily the chargers defense held on for us there. But that that would have been very big swing for us that had gone over the total..

"Into the game, you kind of your money. That's how you find out who's bad. All my bets were safe. That wouldn't be any juice. Juice point spreads the prophets, but teasers the parlays from Vegas to you. These these behind the bats. Welcome in another behind the bets podcast. I Doug kazarian. We're taping this on Thursday, October eighteenth coming up. Mike clay fantasy insider will join us. He has four prop bets to break down and also John Murray obviously of the west gate odds maker and director. He's going to recap. We are going to recap together a poor performance in the baby bankroll bonanza KYW you must be loving this. You're gonna get paid. Yeah, got an admit, got my swagger back a little bit after you've just been cleaning up Phil's. Good. I got us nice to be the house. Isn't it? Eventually let let people lose. So we've talked about, we're not gonna win every week, but hopefully we will win more than we lose. And so we'll do baby bankroll bonanza into this weekend. Shockingly I won't have nine place, so that'll be a good thing. And then we'll also recap last week. Awesome game on Sunday night with the chiefs and patriots, and we'll look ahead to this coming weekend straight ahead. P started this at ticket writer will handle has gotten a lot higher here in the last hour. Now he's a racing sports book director. I have the guys at work. You're calling me Mr. director and not looking directly into my eyes wave people brought in a whole new staff this year. It kind of Seinfeld esque move where we just rotate the guys to the material doesn't get stale up. One happened in between a hot tub and ESPN. Get into hot tub weather out here. Very chilly. I needed a jacket today and this always sort of, I don't know if it's Pavlovian, but it just triggers the busy time for sports bettors with all these overlapping sports, we have our man, John Murray to break it all down for us. It's probably my favorite time of year. Doug, you got the baseball playoffs NBA and hockey or starting the NFL is going on college. Football's going on. And then the weather in Vegas is awesome. Right now. I'm trying to get out there and play some golf this weekend. That right now, Vegas is ideal. Yeah. What is it? That's what I was gonna ask you. I kind of I've forgotten. It's like during the day, it's like in the mid seventies. I mean, it's like San Diego weather here. Do you have time high today on my day off the high. Today's seventy five tied tomorrow's eighty. I mean it's pretty nicer. Man, yell play some golf on Monday. Probably. It's also ably. It's also very weird time and built the college and pro football season's just given that you really gotta show your experienced nail these weeks. I think. College, especially it's like the underdogs. You know, these big favorites. You know, we've talked about it in the podcast week ago with Brad Edwards, like the percentage of all these top four teams. Like we're all talking about chaos in areas where there's five hundred like it just doesn't happen. And at some point clemson's gonna lose or were these other teams and sure enough. We saw Georgia lose last week, so it doesn't happen and the NFL's different. Like we think we know everything, but I forget which quarter which coach coined that phrase of the NFL's into quarters. And so we're through the first quarter and it's, you know, week seven ish week. Six is sort of where you just start to really have some head-scratching results..

"I, there's no second, but I can have myself and this is the thing is like, I thought that LeBron was a a newsmaker in Cleveland, and this is a whole different animal and we just we need a dry spell and this season so we can catch your breath. I, I don't think you know, very well. Andrea. Thing that so now, Andrew, I don't know if you're aware of this, but Dave and Nick went to Syracuse together and they've been known to even though they're much older, more mature and total professional. Now they've been known to occasionally bring the old frat life back and I don't know anything, but I do believe you gentlemen were both in Las Vegas for a preseason game last week. On the job naturally, I mean up -solutely but what was that like? Every I I told that we were going to the golden steer. They started laughing because they thought exactly what would Brian did like, oh, that's a hell of a name for a club in and I was like, no, we just got some steaks. I mean, as far as our Vegas trips go, Mr. winters, we we pretty much held the form. We had a hell of a state center. We went to the casino and preceded the loose several hundred dollars, and then we said, all right, see in the morning. That's that women, David Ivy going out to for years and years, and most nights have a hold a similar form that's for sure. The most impressive performance I saw by human body in Vegas was Ray Ridder, allowing everyone in the media to actually had access to people the morning after dinner in Vegas, the warriors PR person. There was no other types of performances that I was being in. Awe. I see. So I. Can you tell what these two guys? I mean, this is. So I was, I hate to hate to do this, but I, I have to talk about another podcast that I was on. I did this podcast where else? No, God, I hope not. I hope. I, I really hope not. I during the NFL season, it's a little bit safer. But it was it was gambling podcast with this progam Bler I was on with and they were going over the. It was like a snake draft sort of thing where we would pick are over under bets for its Eddie SPN. It's with Doug kazarian. I don't know. The name of the podcast goes, got clearance. Be. Anthony, what's the name of that podcast Anthony's are behind the bits behind the bets. And so we did this where basically me the pro gambler in Doug kazarian who essentially as a pro game, but let's just be honest, he's our gambling guy. He lived in Vegas for years, and he never really ever left even though he technically lives in Connecticut. Now he's still is spirit lives in Vegas, and so we went through and made our picks like an snake draft fashion. For over unders. By the way, my number one draft pick was the under on the kings. It is a twenty six and I would I would have considered going under if it was sixteen. But. Guess who guess who the last pick was the thirtieth pick that nobody wanted to touch the over under the warriors? Lakers the Lakers at forty, seven and a half. Nobody wanted to touch that all the way down to the thirtieth pick and it's just be. I mean, I believe that the Lakers are a playoff aim this year. I just don't know how good they are and they had a good week last week. I feel like days and Nick, you got to see him play twice. Although I guess the second game in San Jose was kind of they sorta arrested people. But let's just tell me, tell me what you guys see in the Lakers right now. Should I have gone over over under the forty five, forty, seven and a half. I think you should go on. I mean, we've saw spots of them looking really good and that was when LeBron playing fifteen minutes a game. So when LeBron please thirty five minutes a game, they'll continue to look really good, and they'll be able to compete with what about when he plays forty, five minutes a game. Yeah..

"I am Doug kazarian. We are taping this on ten, ten Tober tenth. It is Wednesday. We are discussing college football coming up, John Murray still traveling dealing with the convention. So he will not be on the podcast. He will be on tomorrow's NFL podcast, so will sort out all be baby bankroll bonanzas I hit a big middle on that as many on Twitter. We're having some fun with it with me. So that was really cool. And then also recap the last weekend look ahead to all the NFL lines becoming up on this podcast. We're talking college football with Phil Steele who will rejoin me after last week's four and one performance, and also bred words haven't had him on the pod for a couple of weeks. We're going to dive deeper into this Alabama situation. It is a situation first-half six, no against the number, but what's going on with their defense? What's special about the offense. He also wants to talk about Michigan. Wolverines have a big game at home against Wisconsin this weekend, laying. Over a touchdown, Brad things they still are alive for the college football, playoff. He's not alone. He will show us that in terms of analytics and also Georgia. What do we make the BULLDOGS team? So Brad's gonna explain a lot there and Phil Steele's well, with his picks against the spread all that straight ahead on the behind the vets podcast, stop hammer time. That's the mating call for Phil Steele. It's hammer time we, we bring him on Phil. How are you? Buddy? I doing great. Doug. How about yourself? I'm doing well, not as well as your foreign one last week. Impressively done as your debut for this season on the podcast, nice to come out strong three in sort of three, no, and marquee games. Well, done my man. Well, I appreciate that Doug and it's good to see that you picked up yet another two and one the listeners just taken this to the Bank each week because that's when you're, you can't go broke if you make a profit every single week in two and one's agree. Record. Well, thank you. You know, it's funny. The one of the three picks I gave out on sportscenter Saturday morning was the Hawaii game under the Wyoming. Offense is really limited and their defense travels. Well, of course they got a break with the injured quarterback, but I was like one in one during the day. I'm like, you know, this means it's hammer time for the Nike. When you know, you know the outcome of the first to you, kind of get you gotta know what's going to happen in the third and three, three at the half. You had a feel pretty comfortable at that point. Didn't you? I did. You know, stranger things have happened five times later you get burned, but no man, it's good to connect. And obviously we had you on the on the preseason show. So I misspoke a second ago, but you're on the priest gave out a lot of futures. You gave out Notre Dame on six last week. You gotta be looking pretty good with the Irish right now. Yeah, you know, in the magazine I had the errors has never won surprise team in the country. My surprise team is always a non top ten team that I think it makes the. Playoffs. Now I am getting a little annoyed with everybody saying that it's pretty much slam dunk. They're going to run through the rest of their schedule because there's some tests still along the way. I mean, navy's option is always difficult to prepare for north Western's grade is an underdog. We saw Florida state played well against Miami and US's going to be a much better team at the end of the season with their freshman quarterback than they are now and that games on the road..

"The parlays from Vegas to you. This, he's behind the bats. What a week in the NFL welcome in. I'm Doug kazarian. This is the latest behind the bets podcast. Obviously, we do college football on the Wednesdays to go check that out for October. Third, this October fourth, with the NFL content, John Murray is gonna join me and Mike clay will return did well last week on the podcast with his fantasy analysis. So we're going to use him to break down the prop bets. That's jump out to him on the Thursday, Sunday and Monday night games. So a lot to get through with Mike clay, he'll join us at the end, but John Murray is coming up and hey, we're both winners on baby bankroll bonanza and we have a sizeable wager coming up on this week's baby bankroll bonanza the almost triple the highest bet so far coming in. So lot of lot of action right now. Straight ahead on the behind. The best podcast. P started as a ticket writer will handle has gotten a lot higher here in the last hour. Now he's a racing sports book director. I have the guys at work. You're calling me Mr. director and not looking directly into my eyes. People brought in a whole new staff this year. It kind of Seinfeld esque move where we just rotate the guys to the material doesn't get stale. One happened in between a hot tub and ESPN. Hot tub in Vegas. Interesting. Interesting. Then some interesting times out here over the years. I can't argue with that John Murray back with us here to talk a little NFL and. You know, I don't know why. Wherever surprised with the NFL it is such. I I know zigzag is reserved for the NBA betting world in the postseason, but it really is moving to undefeated left. That's it. Yeah, and Kansas City, very fortunate to be undefeated. I hope that I have an opportunity to gush about Patrick Mahomes on this show. 'cause I, it's not. He that guy is we'll get into him, but man, that guy special. Well, let's start there because the point spread had some interesting movement. We talked last week on the pot. I thought it would go up and I was wrong. Obviously, I thought it would close maybe six just based on the chiefs love the powerful offense and what they've done the first few weeks going into that game. But I'm assuming the sharps get that number low. I did to a dog. I thought it was going to go up as well. So and I said that I think on this show, I thought that line was gonna go higher, but the sharps just wouldn't allow it. There was so much sharp money that came in on Denver plus five, even down to plus four. We had one of our sharper NFL betters come in on Sunday ninety two four. So the sharps just would not let that number get any higher despite the public, of course they were all over Kansas City. And we got lucky on that game because our biggest bet of the week on either side, we had a guy laid four and a half on the chiefs. So he lost and the game went under, which was a big deal for us here at the west gate. There was a lot of over money in that game. Yes. Strange game the chiefs stall in the first half on some drives had to settle for field goals. I thought the biggest disappointment if you were achieves backer maybe was the fact that they had to play separate situations, third and long on the forty one..

"Into the game, you kind of your money. That's how you find out for my pets were safe. That wouldn't be juice. Juice point spreads the prop bets, but teasers the parlays from Vegas to view. These these behind the bats. Welcome in another behind the bed spot cast. I'm Doug kazarian. Yesterday was the college football podcast coming up NFL coverage. We're going to recap the week, three patriots losing record. Are they? Are they still a contender in the AFC we'll we'll chat about that. Also. The chiefs is the verdict still out. They've been lights out and the Rams undefeated are they unbeatable they obviously have a big game coming up tonight on Thursday. So we'll get into all that with John Murray, the west gate, Las Vegas super book. Recap the card also play a little baby bankroll bonanza and then making his debut on the behind. The bets podcast is Mike clay from our fantasy football coverage is an analyst who specializes in wide receiver and cornerback matchup, so good to get Mike on. We'll do a little betting talk, particularly with the prop bets for all the key games, the high, the primetime games, Thursday nights, Sunday night and Monday night games. We'll get into all that. Just a reminder, yesterday's pot. Cast all college football that was posted on Wednesday, September twenty, six. So down though that as well. But straight ahead. We have NFL talk, talk nerdy to me all. We're barring a segment from the college football podcast, Brad Edwards, not in, but Mike clay is in for little NFL style of talk nerdy to me, Mike. How are you? Man? I'm good. I don't. You know some people take offence to that. You know, being called inert. I do not. I've I've accepted that long ago even when I was young grade school and high school, I knew I was sports nerd so and just in general. So I'm cool. Well, I'm glad Brandon. I actually talked about it on the last time. He was on the podcast and we were both like totally cool with ever being called hell ya. I think it's a, it's a sign of fictionalise. That's where I'm intending it to talk about football for a living, like come on. I mean, how can you complain? Right? So you do a lot of stuff with fantasy football, your fantasy football analyst here you do stuff on the podcast. You do stuff on Sunday mornings in the fantasy football show, which is all the. Contents. Great. You focus on matchups that's one year, big things. And I think there's obviously overlap with fantasy and then betting especially prop betting. And because especially because your focus on receivers and defensive backs matchups and I just thought it'd be good to at least discuss, maybe kick around some few props and just let our listeners sort of into this space where I think there's always wisdom to be gleaned. Yeah, absolutely. Do the player projections inside the fantasy game as well been doing them for a long time, almost a decade. Now always tweaking that model. As you know, you're always trying to find one new variable that can help you. You know whether it's betting or fantasy football. So yeah, it's been a natural fit for player props for a long time. So let's start with a Thursday game because it is such a marquee game with the Rams hosting the Vikings and versed overview question any adjustment to your power ratings or your projections, given that it's Thursday, short rest, especially with him traveling, actually..

"And one of the most crazy NFL lions I've ever seen next Spain and Fitz on ESPN radio, Spain, and Fitz. Jason Fitz hanging out with field Yates field in for Sarah. Or hanging out with Doug kazarian. Remember behind the bets with Doug kazarian podcast, new episodes twice a week. You can listen on the ESPN app or apple podcasts. You can also follow him on Twitter at Doug ESPN. We do it every single Thursday. Can't wait to do it. Now three bets here on Spain, infants, dabbler, or degenerate. Which one are you? Let's find out, right? So this is where we're going to run through the gamut and give everybody a couple of few different levels of bet. Right. So Doug, let's start with the dabbler. The guy that's brand new to this is me with cookie jar coming up and he's saying, Doug, what do I do? What do you got for the dabbler? Let's go to Monday night football because we all like to bed games that are on TV and you have correct an interesting matchup with the bucks, Ryan fits magic that hair chest and gold chains and all out of the gates at home hosting the Steelers who are winless, thanks to a tie and then a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. And you have the Steelers, laying one and a half. What do we make this book squad? Is it fool's gold to? And they did beat the defending champs at home and kind of lead wire-to-wire essentially is that a dabbler or degenerate bed given the so many unknowns with this matchup I think it's a degenerate bet. And here's the reason why the number that I'm more. Interested in. I believe the over under fifty three and a half this week is the second. I think the only only only higher total Kansas City in San Francisco. It's seven fifty fifty six. Oh yeah, ballpark. Yep. So like fifty six to fifty three and a half right there. That's the number of that I'm interested because I think fits and Ben could combine for eight.

You can do whatever you want. Sounds to me like you guys a couple of bookies Billy Ray Valentine from trading places folk. No, I know. You know what? I'm gonna. Let that go. I think are picks should be almost submitted before the pie. 'cause there's gonna be some game theory later in the year. Sure. Sure. Yeah. Later. Yeah, absolutely. There. I mean, there's major game theory in these contests, these contests around town, and for sure, as we get close to the end of the season, I think it's a little bit too early for that sort of thing. But yeah, if we're neck and neck at the end of the year, we're gonna need to REVEAL OUR place to KAI before we record why do picks in the column so and and on sportscenter. So maybe I'll just have to steal it. They're just formulate my pick with your input. So I appreciate that funding. That's fair. All right, Murray. Good stuff is always, this has been. Van baby bankroll bonanza. Can't get enough of that. Okay. But I I think that does it for us pre sheet the time as always. Yeah, you know, the only other player liked. I kind of like the Redskins plus three, but it's minus one twenty which I hate, and I just don't trust the Redskins. They've got no home field advantage at FedEx field, Doug the worst stadium experience in the National Football League, you realize they've lost four straight home. Openers. The Redskins are usually good as a as a road underdog as at home. They don't have any home field advantage there. I mean there there was only fifty seven thousand people at the home opener last Sunday with them coming off a win and nobody went to the game. So expect to see a lot of Green Bay Packers fans in the stands at FedEx field. I think that number is a little bit high, but I'm gonna pass. All right, sounds good. But not I'll talk to you next week. Thank you. All right. That's going to do it for this behind the best podcast. I'm Doug kazarian and thanks to John Murray and also thanks to Matt humans. For the college. Casts a lot of time and energy, they've contributed there and devoted there. So pre sheet, their efforts and good luck to everyone. This weekend will catch back here next week..

"Options. The Vikings are Packers at six or seven without Aaron Rodgers or pick them with. That's a whole lot of knowledge of gambling. I mean, you're expecting me to know at six that the spread is that like far off lands offer six right now. And then there's currently in most places like the west gate. Another Las Vegas sports books do not offer point spread. They're just waiting, but the contests have seven. So what you're saying is if you're somewhere where they're forced to put it up, you can take advantage of them having to put it up before they've got further information, but you don't know that information either. So you making a bet without correct, because the contract tough game to call anyway, I think Minnesota's probably the better team, but when Aaron Rodgers at any power and strength, it's tough to bet against him. So I'm terrible at bending segments because at the end fits, I'm always like, I would say just don't do anything. I would say, go get, go get a milk shake and watch the game and have fun. Hey, look, you had me at milkshake. That's all you guys follow me on Twitter at Doug ESPN. What are you guys mentioned? It unsurprisingly Aaron Rodgers is the most valuable player in the NFL according to oddsmakers. Based on more than Brady more than anyone. So much of that is hinges on who the backup as well. So let's say like when Garoppolo was backing a Brady and he served a four game suspension Brady wasn't as quote unquote valuable because the drop off between him and Garoppolo once he played that opener and they won in Arizona proved to be wow, it's not. So it's all about the backup as much as it's about the starter and that's a big component to this. That's why we continue to bring him on to get you educated in a way that we can never do ESPN sports betting analyst hosted behind the best podcasts, Doug kazarian. Although, Sarah, I think you might want to rename the segment hold onto your money. Yeah, and that's fair. It's not. That's definitely fair follower. Scared. Yes, sir. Scared. I like that to follow him on Twitter at dougy ESPN Doug, we appreciate you.

"He tried to put some lipstick on the pig with the booming, and he did a decent job, but we're not buying. It fits. I mean he did. It wasn't pretty spectacular effort though. I mean, yeah, absolutely. By the end of it, I was like, what did he start with? Well, never mind. He's just trying to defend the booze coming up. The NFL is trying to embrace gambling this season, so we'll decide to do the same. But first we very much need some help. We'll get it next Spain and bit on ESPN radio. The just told you, look, we the rules are changing. The game has changed and gambling is becoming more and more of a conversation. But one of the things they're in I are more than happy to do is ten what we don't know. So we figure rather than try and pretend that we're going to be experts. We're going to do something a little more special dabbler or degenerate. Which one are you? Let's find out. So to help us break it all down ESPN sports betting analyst and co host of behind the bets podcasts, Doug kazarian Jonas joining us in studio. So you know, we need a little hope. Navigating the waters and what we're gonna do here with dabbler degenerate. Doug is we're going to sort of let the the plays go both ways for people that know nothing for people that are diehards. I think there's a mix of both we have to. We have to acknowledge going into this. So let's let's dip our toll on the water first and say, okay, when you look at the landscape this weekend, what's the easiest dabbler hey, I know nothing about betting, but there's something out there. I wanna play. Well, it starts with the TV games and let's go to Chicago for the Packers and bears game Sunday night. The big game. The guys were just talking about with the gone with last night's game. So Sarah, I ask you, you know, Chicago. Obviously the bears really well who owns the bears, Virginia mccaskey. The answer is Aaron Rodgers, incorrect. While Roger trade into that one is twenty career starts against the bears. He's won sixteen of them and covered the point spread fifteen of them. So even a point per that's supposed to be kind of balanced, he's one and covered seventy five percent of those. So the point was that all of them the what's at every single one just crying alone. So the point spread for Sunday, obviously, big news with Khalil Mack. So it's come down a little bit. So right now it's Green Bay minus seven against the bears. Do you think Sarah, the bears will keep it within seven and lose or even win the game outright? No. So you think so? That would be Green Bay minus seven would be the bet that's our dabbler dabbler, but I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna take that one because I wouldn't bet against my own. But that is a good starter bet for people who are looking for what might seem to be likely to be an easy because bedding, form of entertainment, just like having a beer or a dog at the game. So you already have a rooting interest in the. Game? Yes, on Sunday night with other people which kind of fantasy have need a rooting interest and that would be the dabbler. Okay. So do you have another dabbler that you you like a game? I like would be the giants Jaguars game. So this is interesting because the giants were like the butt of everyone's joke slasher, right. Three wins could figure out who to start ally manning or Gino Smith and the Jaguars we're like a couple of plays away from the Super Bowl and everyone thinks they're trending up. Right. Well, I like the giants plus three at home. I think New York gets the win, and I'll take the three points dabbler. Right. Well, that's noted for my picks coming up later. I'm just going to have to steal steal from would hug Sara. Where do you weigh in on that? Like you? I mean, we all remember where we last saw what the giants and Jaguars going deep in the playoffs. How do you feel about these teams this year? The most interesting thing for me will be obviously saquon Barkley and how he fares in his first outing. I expect him to play very well, but with the Jaguars d on the other side that could kind of maybe make it. More difficult for him to come out with a bang..

"Are you not gonna then place it for the casual better? You'll be legal. You have a legal options, correct? Correct. Then that's if they wanna put those out of business, they got off fair market, you. But you know, if you go all the way there and you're kind of emotional built in, you really not going to place a bet. 'cause it's another forty cents. Some people say no, some people say yes, I think it'll be fascinating to follow. And obviously there's, you know, there's going to be bumps in the road. This is one of the bumps and we'll see how it all shakes out. Agree with that. I hope everybody keeps perspective very, we're creating basically a hundred billion dollar market from scratch your almost here in the US basically. So there are going to be hiccups, there are going to be scandals and they're going to be people screw things up. Handles screwed something up last week about closing before they able to cash tickets and telling people that you know cash the ticket, and then they couldn't do it because the vault was closed. But I think there are going to be some hiccups and some growing pains. We keep them all in perspective burden. We appreciate it as always think I've talked to you more this week than my girlfriend. Hopefully we'll hopefully we'll change talks to in the next couple of weeks. No, then I have heard. Okay. I just wanted to make sure confused there. Go concern. Degenerate, you know. Thanks for being all over it and we'll talk to you soon. Man. All right. Take care. All right lengthy pod, but obviously a lot going on Ben in this gambling space. Anything coming up on the horizon on for Chuck summer's over. I guess that's for sure. We'll have David Purdham next week on kind of running file for the NFL which again, hall of fame game tonight. Re-taping this on Thursday, just kind of gambling storylines to watch. I think you know, Cleveland Browns over five and a half wins believe the Indianapolis Colts now with Andrew luck shoulder looking. Okay. But they have the fewest bets to win Super Bowl at west gate, stuff like that already been a lot of big injuries. I, I think there's a distinction for gamblers versus the common fan, but Daryl Williams the, you know, Carolina Panthers right tackle. That's a big injury, especially when you're left tackle as Mackel. And so things like that have already happened. We'll be following those an interesting piece as well from Purdham and Rosenberg on five ways. Technology can impact sports betting. Whether that's people having sports books on yachts, offshore, people being able to place bets basically on something underneath their tongue. Cyborgs tracking things while very interesting. Scared. No, it's good. Good. All right, man. Good stuff is always going to be back from vacation. It's August football season, exciting times across the sports betting landscape catch you back here next week on the behind the vets podcast, revenge FOX, and thanks, David Purdham and Phil Steele as well. "The bat. Busy week in the world of sports betting. I am back from vacation than FOX in the house as well. I'm Doug kazarian this the behind the best podcast. We're taping this on Thursday, August second, Benjamin, how are you? Man? I'm good. Sarah. I don't think we fully put out that parasol picture yet, but that may have to be re tweeted brought up some. We'll bring that back somehow, but it was good house vacation. Yeah, it was great. Italy is awesome. I been there when last went there a decade ago. It was good to get back and run around the the country. But yeah, the parasol picture was enjoy, hey, look, it's ninety. Two degrees got even hotter. I, I have no shame do what you gotta do. I mean, come on and I wasn't enrollment time, but went in Roman Italy. You gotta. Do you gotta do well, don't worry. Didn't miss anything on the sports panic friend was around y'all. Braille quiet kosh so much going on. Lots of get through here. David is going to join us on the back end of the podcast break down some of the big announcements. From this week and also Phil Steele's coming up momentarily with some good college football analysis and picks because here we are in August, the regular season is upon us NFL just around the corner as well. A lot of good a lot of good opportunities out there, whether it be futures for the championship conference even games of the year. And there's some week one lines that I even like as well Benso. We'll touch on all that. Both talk about the news at first today, which is Thursday. Tiger Phil announce Cording to ESPN's Mike Greenberg, some odds being posted, and we've talked about it briefly on the pod, but there's mixed feelings on how big of a handle this will generate. Yeah. West gate opened per Jeff Sherman. Tiger minus one thirty. Phil plus one. Ten. I'm sure expecting that. There will be a ton of tiger money. Think Caesar's opened at a pick them a couple of weeks ago. You know, being out there, I guess that was for summer league and talk some people. They don't think there's going to be very much. I know some people are going to far and being like it's. Xd where the McGregor it's like, no, it's it's not gonna be that. I think they'll be a lot of interest in this is reported over thanksgiving weekend. I think that will probably heard it some because obviously of NFL of college football NBA. That was a big advantage of may worthy McGregor is it was before college football before NFL. It was that weekend. That was the big of that and what's the format? We don't really know yet. It's going to be in Las Vegas shadow creek I league. I don't know whether it's just a against b, whether they are doing some sort of Yemen Gulf handle a lot is, I mean, it's more on the futures market than is the matchups. But this is tiger and Phil and its motto. It's like magic bird in the eighties, we all wanted right. But this is I think it'll be more than what the low end is and lower than the high in fat is in fact, may whether McGregor it's not gonna be. I think the very interesting thing from following this. I don't think I moved on Sunday for the British Open, just watching. And then following the odds, I think the in game odds will be fascinating. I don't know how many people are gonna wanna bet hole by hole tiger. And Phil or stroke by stroke. But I think that's where some of it will come from as well. I think people are going to want to have action. It's gone event involved in parlays and things like that because it's a big weekend with football college. Football's while a lot of rivalries that weekend, and then the NFL takes over few days as well. So good stuff. There also Mississippi is official. They've joined the party of legal sports betting and right before football season. It'll be very interesting to see the variance in some lines at something we're gonna talk a lot about once the season begins and look, man, it's not common..
