What Doug, what do you got on tap this week for plans? Well, you know, I really it's just one more game where he has to play tonight to tie dye drivers record. This is Monday night excuse me. And then tomorrow night, he would break it in Long Island. We have a big crew of guys planning to go down. So he's got to get through the game this evening and one, two, three knock on wood, but what a career it's been. I think I'd like to talk about this a lot more when he's able to get it done. But I will say that I saw a stat on NHL network today that just shows the career keys had and kind of what he's been through to continue to play this long and the streak began March 26th, 2009. And NHL stats rank among defensemen since that day. These first in games obviously hasn't missed one. In goals, he's 18th with 93, assists his second 479 points his third 572 and power play points he's first with 269 power play points. So that's a 13 year span of him not missing a game showing up to work every single night. I think there was an instant when they had a game in Florida. He had about 90 knocked out in 30 stitches and he played the next day at 5 o'clock after spending all night in the dentist chair. Ekblad hit him with a slap shot in the calf and Boston a few years ago. Could barely move the trainers worked on until three in the morning that night got his calf and leg able to go the next night. He played. So there's just so many different things I could say about him that I'd like to maybe talk to him and you guys about at a different time when this thing is broken. Like I said, so just tonight though for him to tie this record and Doug Jarvis had a couple amazing quotes that he's really happy for this guy and Phil kessels right behind him too. So just the amount of the amount of perseverance and professionalism it takes along with the amount of luck of not just catching a bucket buck they could break your foot. It's just an amazing record that I'm so proud of Keith and I can't wait to be there. When he does it here here, holy shit, nice little run there, and the fact that he made me laugh every single day at the rink while doing it. I mean, it was incredible, man. And right now, you can kind of segue into fires talk. You know, the team's not doing so good and unfortunately through your pros and pro career. There's going to be some ups and downs. But when you have guys in the locker room, like Keith, sometimes the bad days and the gloom days don't seem so bad because you're able to at least share some laughs and be galvanized as a group. And sometimes sometimes humor can take away from these long, long losing streaks. And I know that that team had way higher expectations going into the season and it's been very unfortunate. All right, you were reading off that stat. I don't know if my Internet kicked out. You said they've lost 16 games in a shootout this season? No, they haven't scored a goal in a shootout. Over 16 on shootout attempts and all the over 9 versus the island is in over 200 penalty shots. Okay, I was like, part of the had been a 16 shootouts. So jarus coming to the end of his deal this year. You got to think that he'll be traded. I don't know what they could fetch for him. Considering he's UFA at the end of the season, but whoever whoever gets him, that's a big time player to add to a lineup that could possibly win a Stanley Cup. I think he's just under a point per game this year he's kind of had a revival this season in his career and there's going to be a bunch of teams lined up to grab him at the deadline. Yeah, I just going back to Philly overall. I think just given what they give up, given up as far as assets this summer and maybe that core group that they had, they thought that they would be able to make a push. I had them making playoffs. I thought for sure, but they've also a pretty tough difficult extent dealing with the injury bug. Yeah. No Ellis was a killer. We're taking a view, hazy, fuck. Just so tough to be getting news like this, all the surgery didn't work. It didn't work. Got to do it again. It's just, and I'm telling you, it's harder on the mind than it is in the body, in that sense. So we're thinking to him and like, yeah, Ellis is out. It's just been couturier's. It's been a disaster of a season in Philly. Yeah, and drew, he's in the last year of an 8 year $66.2 million deal. So that's really terrible things to say. So we're going back and forth and now I lose it and I go, why don't you get off the F and ice all skate the guys? And he left. And he went off the ice. And now I'm looking around. I'm going all right, now what? I know I'm in a lot of trouble. I don't think he was going to leave. Yeah, he left. So I started skating the guys. So all of us are doing the suicide notes, the blue line back, red line by blue line back, and I've never hustled and worked so hard in my life. So it ends, and I know I'm in trouble, right? So come off the ice and Todd button was the assistant coach at that time with shorty and Todd's waiting for me. He goes, hey, show me he wants to see a type like really? That's a surprising to me. So every player went in and this is hanging over my head because I'd had this outburst, right? So I get a call from Joe Juno. He says, hey, Sony asked me who I wanted to play with and I told him I want to play with jonesy. So two hours later, I got Michael pav calls me. Joni asked me who I wanted to play with. I told him I want to play with jonesy. Another two hours Dale hunter calls me, hey, Sean he asked me, I told him I want to play with jonesy. Because I had told him I want to be traded and I just said this crazy outburst. So at 11 o'clock at night, I get the call to come down to this conference room and show me an intimidating man. He's right across from any looks at me and he goes, you still want to be traded. And I said, you know, I did. But since all the guys called me and said they want to play with me right decided I'm gonna stay. So you've now tripled down. This is it. I just can't stop myself, right? So he looks at me. He looks really at the 5th head, fist, you know? He wasn't a handshake. He gave you a little fist thing. The hairy knockout. He was a German. He was way ahead of his time. He was a German germaphobe. That's why I did it. Yeah, yeah. So he gave me that and I give him this one. Yeah, you're bowing. Yeah. So I walked out of the room, I gave Keith Elena wink on the way out of the room. Back in the lineup. True story. Is that the craziest thing? And I was making at that time 300 grand a year. I thought I was rich. Like I thought I had a great money, but I thought this is like I'm set for life. This is what I was thinking. I was so brain dead. Now we know why shiny went after co host so hot. You enjoyed just being around the guys, especially during your junior C days. You guys are playing 30 games this season. Yeah. So you'd be done by the end of March and you would take from them to training camp completely off what was the title of that chapter, beers and chicken wings? I haven't read it. I don't recommend anyone reads it. Well, it was a great 5 reading level, so I figured it was right up my alley. It is. It is, yeah, so I was yeah, I played hockey because I love playing hockey. And I didn't do anything else. I never thought of the show. Never, I was playing junior C hockey. I was 17 years old and 18 years old. I went back. You know, I tried out for junior junior B on a team that rob Blake played for in my hometown called the branford classics. And I thought I'd make the team. You know, I was a good hockey player through midget. I was good. I wasn't great. I was smaller, 'cause I hadn't grown yet. I was a late bloomer. But I just thought I'd make the team and they cut me. And I was like, oh, now what do you do? And then I got a letter in the mail junior C hockey in Paris Ontario. It's like 15 minutes outside of branford. I'm like, well, I guess I'll try out there and see what happens. So I tried out for the team, barely made the team, and then all of a sudden started the.
