"You're listening to on air with Doug Janik toria hi let's get back at it here are over you that tries to jog his magazines the week of may eighteenth through the twenty second at number eight the relationship changes that are obvious by as the families getting into close the close confines I was talking to my daughter last night and her son on facetime which I do frequently he's going off the wall well some of these incentives just bounce and they go outside they play they put on a mask and they go on the drive when they go up and down the street and got a little tip this may be a little inside baseball yes some of the the recreation areas are are starting to open up you should tell Meghan because I guess you stick it in there before they should go to discuss our gardens it's open it it'll give him a lot of place to run around and okay you have to wear a mask though okay yep hi this is K. all right but what about relationship that the two of you your relationships with the men in your life has been enhances it stayed the same what sort of changes have you noticed and what have you noticed in your friends everybody holding on or is there some are there cracks here and there I feel like that I know is doing fine actually I think man yeah I have you know one friend who's had some complications but part is a general yeah for the part I think I think everyone's okay my one friend has a has it has a husband who is very AT T. he tell you that so I'm not talking out of school and she is a school teacher and she's got three kids so she's been trying to manage him because he's home and teaching her school her kids she teaches J. junior high middle school and and managing her three children so she's probably the one maybe the most from but otherwise I think everybody's doing okay for for us that means we don't have kids because everyone I got it home it's not you know it's a lot of pressure I can see miles bouncing off the walls in last couple of nights of our conversations yeah bouncing number seven this week let's throw this to you Victoria the technology changes that are taking place you have you follow this every week the top five items from the world of technologies they implies they it as they help us all live a better life supposedly so what's new with this being developed because of the of the virus well I think the biggest thing that everyone is seen is a good for most people working from home is that it you know zoom is is something that can be businesses can survive with people working from home and I think that's the largest lesson that we've learned from this so many businesses who thought that everyone needed to be physically in the building there are realizing they don't need to maybe have four floors of you know of an office building anymore maybe they could have won Florida people who can go in on chefs because everyone's working from home and it's working so I think that's the biggest technology news that we've had throughout the whole code that I know of is some businesses yes definitely working I know others as it is hurting the business because they can't work together and it's important for their particular business to work together but yeah thank you certainly I'm glad I don't know enough is building up to yeah that would have been down the major highways there for rent for a lease for sale all over the place and it's directly related to the virus I've next Mike Pompeii gets investigated number six on the story list twenty.

"You're listening to on air with Doug Janik toria all right here we are at forty six and change after the I wanna sort of justice I like the stuff like this where it is so obvious that these this is two people in one body the this guy's a big Major League Baseball player named Madison Bumgarner you know who is place so there is a number back okay so this past weekend apparently he was recognized on the rodeo circuit nobody paid much January you get the hats on you can't really see who's under that but there was a story about him competing as a rodeo Roper and performer as masons Saunders which is apparently a combination of his in somebody in his family and his wife though his wife's maiden name whatever it is but I thought it was kind of interesting as that he would go to such lengths are there a lot of people have been the baseball players or football players that have also played another sport but for whatever the reason he didn't maybe it's his insurance is much anything else okay these teams carry a lot of insurance on these guys and he's a three time World Series champion anyway I'm I'm now that his covers been blown I wonder if his team is gonna tell America yes yeah yeah the the the dangerous stuff dangerous stuff anyway so let's get kind of a cute thing the settlement of these opioid cases that we've been talking about off and on the opioid album is the number of people are suffering because they got hooked on opioids so now we had what five six months ago there was an announcement of a settlement with the the drug companies that have been responsible for all of this stuff and because there's so many lawsuits the fact is that the money though drug companies will pay to compensate people and communities is going to be far less much less than what was completely there was earlier on I envision lawyers on all sides have been stepping up efforts to reach an agreement before the start of a trial next month in New York bringing all these companies together the plaintiffs lawyers now believe the payout from dozens of opioid makers and distributors and retailers will be half of what the big tobacco companies agreed to pay twenty years ago in the settlement that went to people who were sick because they smoke this is much worse than that the settlement in nineteen ninety eight was two hundred six billion dollars that they paid out and so this final amount is supposedly half of that of building one hundred billion dollars how many people's lives when it's like seventy thousand or so many people have been dying of opioid poisoning in the last four five years is that it's in the tens of thousands is that yeah for sure I don't know I I didn't you know I think these these companies get away with so much you know the Sackler family who there is value pharma Purdue pharma yet they they're all in New York and and they've been just siphoning money it in by the billions out of the company so that they wouldn't have to pay anybody else whose lives they basically manufactured to re Roland road yeah so it I don't know it's it's pathetic it right I know who has a seat at the table here lawyers now they get away with all the stuff I read and really want to know how they get away with it because it is an outrage it's a ten before the hour here on.

"On air with Doug Janik toria want to bring you up to date on his most of you know Jennifer you know how serious I am about my physical fitness and when I'm in Los Santos the winter time I really on the farm I don't really have to worry about it too much because they get plenty of exercise but this is a different time of year a different focus I'm more focused on what about how I hold my body together so I'm now looking around at the James I've gone to the why I like the why but I don't like a lot of people trying to sort of focus on me in being not around lots of people SO if you're like me then he gets here if you look at the fine print you negotiate a little bit that's what I found if you're going to a gym well the first thing is if you're really serious good if you want then why bother most it's really amazing is that I saw of focus on fitness one of the social networks and it says the people who joined the gym January first a likely to abandon their fitness goals by January seventeenth it's the absolute truth I told you I work in a building that shares a parking lot with the equinox gym which is not cheap by the way for people who join that read it literally it will start it was okay yesterday but it'll start Monday and it will go for about two weeks and then it'll drop off to get it is it is like clockwork every year I've noticed this it's so funny planet fitness eighteen hundred locations in the United States they have a ten dollar monthly fee for membership no commitment etcetera etcetera etcetera the warning however is you can you have to sign up for something that then because twenty two ninety nine a month if you don't cancel it that K. as I'm saying look at the fine print on the contract there are a lot of people in law offices that are looking there at some of these things because they're really some of these gyms are just scurrilous in what they do because they know that the people are not going to come in they gonna grab you for a year and you're gonna be gone a week yeah and that you can sign up and save money commit to the year now a great don't let yourself don't even go to a place if even if you're serious and where you can't cancel I would say that would be what I've learned you gotta be able to cancel get out when you want to get out so there word to the wise hopefully sufficient twenty one after.

"You're listening to on air with Doug Janik toria so I'm trying to figure out what run the said the senator Romney from Utah former presidential candidate used to be governor of Massachusetts he gets around he has said he didn't think there was a conspiracy with Ukraine interfering in our election so does that mean he thinks the Russians where the wild it messed with the election there is that what is this mean there are people who think Russia and if Russia interfered in the election and they're people who think Ukraine interfered in the election and there are people who think both interfered in the election and I think the people who think both interfered in the collection are probably right it all this conversation got started because senator Kennedy from Louisiana came out and said that he knew that Ukraine interfered in the election and people started taking him to task and tearing up stand there is no evidence Ukraine interfered in the election back in twenty sixteen so Ronnie was asked about it and he made the comment he didn't know about interference the truth is there was interference it because Ukraine actually turned over information to try to nail Paul mana Ford who was the campaign manager for trump at the time to get him out of the way to make things a little bit easier for Hillary Clinton so they thought by casting that the trump campaign into turmoil but they realize that the trump campaign strives to right well I was spoiled when they realize the turmoil the name of the game baby yeah so yeah so I it there is the sad thing is that everybody's got to take it everybody believes it to be fact you just really have to follow all these little pieces of story lines that I've been coming out over the last couple of years before you can develop what a big picture of what really happened all right so what really is the end goal of the administration asking the Supreme Court to lift the lower court order preventing executions of federal inmates what are we gaining or losing Guzzi speaking to here I want to get people off death row I guess and start executions again but we've seen so many times how many people have been had their convictions overturned because writing an essay I think this is a dangerous thing that we're moving towards but William Barr the Attorney General he's been pushing for it why would what's the right way he might like I'm saying I don't see I don't know where they are a lot of people who were sentenced to the death penalty and then they just sit and they wait and they wait and they wait and they win a lot of those people have been exonerated the other waiting and a lot of those people never actually got the punishment that was sold out for some of the horror rific crimes that they committed like Richard Ramirez who just died in prison awaiting to be executed swiftly as this is not a factor anymore twenty one after the hour your home of the docks news talk five ninety K. "Your listening to on air with Doug Janik toria. you know before I leave we all leave this conversation I saw something that I thought was interesting Jennifer the state of California going to require abortion bush bills but with him what are they requiring or my missing is some new requirement that the pills be available to all students. that morning morning I plan to be here. yeah yeah really is that a good idea or not there over the counter in every place now anyway I mean I guess it it doesn't matter I take more issue a less issue with college campuses more issue with what California is doing at the at the high school even grade school level let level by put allowing Planned Parenthood sponsor the schools essentially and putting their number on a student ID cards I think that's a step too far but once you're in college campuses in adults you're going to have access to a lot of this stuff anyway so I think it's hard to argue with what adults have access to so yeah. but back to the business about education and parents taking a role that's important I mean we all talk about the parents having an ABC into the birds the bees conversation I never nobody random birds and bees conversation with me and when I started. when I started having my son he looked at me and he was about twelve years old he said that I know all that stuff that is so in a bit did legally she need to take the initiative one way or another because find out one way or another ten before the hour food for thought.

S. has since last year actually sending number mass shootings like the Las Vegas shooting Santa Fe shooting at Texas shooting so this is hurting tourism in its founder terrorism all this stuff I have nothing else motivates us to do something about it maybe that's is a crab so you can get but I think it's very interesting how I don't remember I really am Amnesty International is as people around the world should exercise caution when you travel anywhere in the United States wow that's it and that's the first time that they've ever ever made a statement like that so yeah it's well it's just you know I think that we live in we're in a bubble and we're all you know I think everyone's on edge and it across the country and we don't realize we sometimes forget how the rest of the world perceives us when there's a lot of us make living all of them well with the world but for ever some of it is but but forever though the rest of the world especially Europe thinks of America's just guns yeah and that's you know that's spent my entire life going to visit my family in England Ireland and France that's what everybody just things America's got all the guns everybody has a gun that's what they think of us that everyone you add on issuing a travel warning for Hong Kong following all the violence there that that was interesting things that's going to hurt their tourism even more absolutely because there are gonna be sticking a big hit because of that yep and there are to be getting close to the to figure out a fix the problem either as there have been warnings from Australia the UK Ireland chat Japan Singapore don't go traveling there just a home and enjoy yourself ten before.

"Your listening to on air with Doug Janik toria so the question does video the games that people young people play does that trigger violent behavior there have been studies that have been done and certainly now after what happened in el Paso what happened in Ohio once again this says service this argument I think it does there are those people who represent you can expect this but there is not right this up is because there's an association call the entertainment software association the biggest video game trade group and they say there's no connection between video well it's it's become its new cigarette smoking it's a new cigarette companies all there's no connection between smoking cigarettes and cancer no news service is now the new one no connection joke background checks do they work to prevent violent crime is research indicates that they need to be accompanied by a more comprehensive set of reforms that is note from the gun control research center here is in California I don't think that's his best friend either video games are component and background checks are yeah I was gonna come on it is a whole bunch of things you put him together it's a very new wants thing I feel like people are trying to find one solution to the problem and it's obviously I know lots of people who play video games were perfectly normal and they have a very normal social life and go out the staff and so obviously all video games don't make everyone violent but it probably makes some people and so I don't know there needs to be yeah my background yeah you know any girls in your circle and have played video games cara or Victoria maybe yeah sure yeah I think yeah I think there are plenty of violent video games Tyron islands no girls now yeah I chose this part of the toxic masculinity that is being discussed the girls do not play these games and boys do I just think women are probably more versed to violence than men and I think they're just not made as much for them I mean so many these island video games also have like women who are half naked and see out and I think women are just not into that as much yeah I don't know yeah comments on reality here on the DJB show twenty one after the hour the local news station newstalk five ninety K. "To on air with Doug Janik toria maybe that's one of those songs that you can't get away from once you start singing it right in the navy you all of you singing to yourself during the breakers I the only one in five no we were just you wait wait well a lot and the president a federal appeals court has blocked a lawsuit against president trump filed by two hundred congressional Democrats those couple years ago it was not yet twenty seventeen court of appeals in the fourth circuit issued a unanimous decision the three judge panel said the attorneys didn't have legal standing to bring suit against president which the suit alleges that he violated the constitution's far in what because Emelia mall a monuments LL you haven't been hearing about this now okay when it comes to drop by and paid into the news because usually is in the news is usually so it's taken a shot at him so this is this is news to me that provision says the government official can't accept payments from foreign governments are agents the specific complaints against the president receiving payments from foreign governments to stay in his hotel you haven't heard about this really this is ideally I mean I heard about this year is of no no I heard about I just didn't hear the Farney mall you ins or whatever on all the menus whether they use English at the far end no good gas is part of the constitution if the arguments clause because they're over rated as we know of the judge's decision blocks dozens of subpoenas issued to government agencies the president's business enterprise what they think the guy's going out of business because he's president and I was supposed to put everything in thruster well yeah post to but that that was where this all came from yeah this is a win for him for sure I I don't know what they can do next if they if they're going to go back and try another round of appeals I don't know I think it is difficult thing to prove anyway you know right yep yep yep all right so here's the next win this federal appeals court ruling the president cannot block critics of his Twitter account I guess is is no in so much for him as it is for the people like take shots at him judges upheld an earlier ruling that decided that add real Donald Trump that account is a designated public forum so if you use this private account instead of that one that is the right account yeah that is private account and then potus is the other one that basically just re tweets whatever he tweets from his private account right okay so if that's the case then and it's his private account why can't he block because either public official and he's and he's talking about private no no no that's not it works that that read the rest of the copy it's because he's a he's talking about public policy on it and that makes it fair game as a public official in here the copies is only a from a point of view if I had a car but I I've I have not found yeah okay my Twitter account is at Doug Stephan I can't say Kerr is a pain in the neck on it without having some well retort because you're not a hand out the elected official that probably gets into when you're elected office and you're talking about policy issues and privacy as well now and it it's not alley private it's a pile exams because you Cortez also at the same thing because she was blocking people on her Twitter and she just got into trouble for a P. eyes that she's not allowed to block either so all right well then just fair play not just him it's now anybody's darted with him and now it's the turn about so they just mostly applied to politicians our lives celebrity homes number as the list along of people that trump is blocked yeah no no so now I don't have anybody else who might want to block a you can private says yes you can if you're a medically elected official you let in on the lock yeah that's the thing and that's constitutionally proven I guess apparently writers this call I don't have Twitter is in the constitution no that's the point I mean words we did have airports during the revolutionary war by we did not have Twitter twenty one after the hour news talk five ninety K.
