"P. C. Back to the KGO. Morning show with Chip Franklin filling in for Nikki Maduro on KGO 8 10 Well, this was predictable. Good to have you along. Appreciated up Red Bull cart with me. Chip Franklin here. Nicki will be back a week. She's got this week off and were in her place. Chris Mayor will be up this afternoon. Doing my show. Chris is a great guy, too. By the way, very funny. Smart guy should listen to him. In 326 Right. So you know this would happen that there would be a backlash against bringing down monuments of people that I think we can all agree. Christopher Columbus probably is not the best. I mean, Italians probably won't agree, but wasn't a great symbol of what this nation stood for. In fact, he was never here. I mean, he never made it to the United States. But up in Rochester, a Frederick Frederick Douglass statue was vandalized. And so this is the other side of this. He was an abolitionist on DH. He had one of his most famous speeches was back from 18 52. Do you remember that, don't you? John Here just had a birthday yet anyway, That's where he gave the speech. What? What to the slave is the Fourth of July in which he called the celebration of liberty, a sham in a nation that enslaves and oppresses black citizens. It's funny, cause I did a tweet out, essentially saying the same thing that If you think about it. July 4th is not Independence Day to all Americans. That would have been emancipation in 18 52 and and it obviously You know, this thing was 18 50 deal. I'm sorry. Did I just anyway? Emancipation Proclamation, Wass the moment that that freed you know black Americans, although, as we know the invisible chains of Jim Crow and Frederick. Doug Douglas is really an amazing, amazing, brilliant man. And Ah, and this again, John Rothman, who must like read this stuff in a sleep was telling me this recently on one of my shows about the speech, and I had others tell me that you know, you should really go back and read it and I did. It was fantastic. He's an amazing order and just an incredible writer. And somebody attacked the statue so and you know, in in Baltimore, they brought down the Christopher Columbus right into the to the bay dragged it into the water. The question is, you know how far down that are you? Are you ready to go? Again. We mentioned watching on listening to just You know, the tremendous musical of Hamilton and the lionization of George Washington who was a slave owner. I mean, do we ripped that away because he owned slaves. Or do we make it clear to everybody to understand that? That he was a flawed yet brilliant person who cared. I mean,.

"Target sell price of seven dollars and thirteen cents that looks peeling one thing I would be cautious here. Peggy is a no there's been talk about you know, them and cell gene getting together. I would want to understand more about what's going on. I haven't looked at that. That particular deal in quite a while. I'm kind of left out on the news there. But that is definitely something important to understand because we were talking during the break, I feel like majority of the time when there's these mega-deals it it's not great for stock prices over the longer term. It seems like it always happens come near the peak. When Cummings are striving for growth, I will say however that I liked the healthcare industry right now. I think it's a great potential area to find some good companies because I think this Medicare for all nonsense has really driven down prices. And I think it's creating some great buying up change. I'm going to bet on the American people here that we will not have Medicare for. I hope that's the case. I'm Medicare's already disaster. So Medicare for all is not going to work, and I think that health insurance health companies could be a great opportunity over the next five years, and has to I don't know many drugs Brister miles has the drug we hold we know about the drugs, what the potential is the future what they do and so forth. So if you do wanna proceed, you know, look at Brister miles really understand what their drugs. What they could do. But against chase says the merger. Sometimes just don't seem to work out. Very good. These big time mergers. So that's why I'd probably look elsewhere. But there you go. All right. Okay. Thanks so much. I appreciate your okay picking. Thanks call. Have a good day Bye-bye? Why are ready that over the phone line one eight hundred seven six zero k f m b that's one eight hundred seven six zero five three six two. Let's go out to the. This Santa Clara, San okay? SNAT? Okay. Let's go to speak with Doug Douglas Marin vegetable chase go help you guys a couple of weeks ago. My wife was a reading the journal about Nielsen holdings, their their their part of the AC Nielsen ratings the TV ratings, and and we're doing some research. It was it was interesting to see a it's a much bigger company than you would think. So why don't you take a look at look at at their stock. Okay. I'll think of Nielsen holdings up ELC means the London based company symbols and L S N. Unfortunately, here Doug, no PE ratio. Which means no earnings the last twelve months of the thirty one. I'll just check to see what the industry he hasn't kind of curious. What industry they're broadcasting this? I'm thinking about it actually in market research is what they're actually in. Okay. What did you see the price to sales one point four bed in the industry at two point seven price to book value, not material, but that's the same as? The industry and price of cash flow nothing there, either versus thirteen point seven which tells me that they're casual negative over the last twelve months. Not a good thing. You do have a high Devon here. Five point three percent. But with no earnings no cash full that dividend could be at risk. So be careful that we do. See their sales are down one percent year over year energy up three point eight. And while earnings for Nielsen fell by two hundred seventy seven percent energy was up. Fifteen current Rachel one point two one point four. That's okay, but debt equity two hundred and ninety four percent versus one hundred seventy five percent for the industry so high industry, but they're even above that return equities a negative twenty six for positive fourteen point six industry net profit margin, a negative fourteen point to pursue positive eight point five and receivable. Turnover is very good though, five point four versus one point seven salon negatives there chase. What about the earnings going forward? And of course, car. Pricier for Nielsen twenty six dollars Twenty-three cents the to thirty four dollars and eighty six cents. So a pretty sizable pullback there and then fifty two week low. Here's twenty dollars and fifty three cents but look out to December two thousand twenty s estimated aren't Shannon, gap basis positives, they do have earnings of a dollar twenty one cents. Unfortunately, that would just give us a target sell price, though of nineteen dollars ninety seven cents below that current price, and when they have curious about this company, Doug is I know they do all the market research. And then produce those research reports who pays them for those shorts of research reports. How do they make money off of that? That's one thing. I'd be interested on this company. But as that also probably not worth the research to the valuation is don't look that appealing on it. And I'm not sure I'm think the stations pay them. I believe are because they want the research of who's doing it. But I that's just a guess educate gas, but it could be the case. But yeah, kind of an interesting company. It sounds like, but just as an investment goes look, very good at this point in time already. Okay. Thank you. Thank you for calling. Bye. All right. Well, gosh, you know, we had a bunch of phone calls went through them. All so, I I guess people thought were too busy. So don't call in. But now all lines are open one eight hundred seven six zero k f m b that's one eight hundred seven six zero five three six hundred ads. Always that get you through for your unbiased no-strings-attached fun opinion about what you want to talk about the down the clock. Let's go ahead and take a break here. When we come back. "Ben, let's get to the all twenty two film reviewer a little bit late on it this time because of the Tate news dropping and also the coaches film for the eagles Jaguars game was really weird. The broadcast version we couldn't click on the place to to navigate through it. And then when the coaches film drop they dropped half a game. Luckily, that's been fixed since then game pass is made by the devil. So let let's talk about this game. I actually wanna talk about Schwartz. I want to talk about Jim Schwartz on out result. Douglas. On the defensive side. There's been a lot of talk about how gyms dialed up some heat. We talked about Schwartz shying away from the blitz. And I specifically remember saying that with Tampa Bay game. I play the game. He comes with some heat with a linebacker in a corner, and they got beat and then the rest of the game. Healy blitz five times in this game. The first blitz that they bring third in eight with ten seconds left in the first quarter. We a little bit for it. But the Jaguars hold the ball too much in the first quarter. They're double mug in the Jenkins's threatening off the edge of the right tackle, he comes clean Bortles has to step up which leads right into Chris long for the cleanup sack that for me made me think that it gave Schwartz the confidence to continue to bring the heat. And I'll tell you a Borrell's, of course, does not deal the heat. Well, listen, I love the fact that you brought that blitz because the second I saw that blitz. I thought to myself all this is that on this is that pass rush lane retention thing that Mike wrote about when Schwartz clinic, right? Because you've got the potential mug with the linebackers. You've Jiang extra guy coming off. And Jenkins extra guy. Winds off the edge, Chris long. I believe it was Brandon Graham on the interior stunt and in stunting, it frees up Chris Law to kind of act as a quasi spy in that big app. Right. So you're the scheme is generate pressure in the D gap. But Schwartz made sure with that little twist that he's got a a player who is currently disengaged not being blocked because of the twist in that big apps when Bortles steps up away from the gap pressure. Chris long waiting this is the thing. So proud of him. Yeah. They did a lot of that too. But they're only to blitzes in the first half, and there were two sex and that second one that they had here that was second quarter second nine with four forty one left. The Jags driving to the eagles forty-two. They bring Malcolm Jenkins again off the edge. And they're bringing him off that that right side where which is the the ball hand for like. Portal's? Now, he gets a one on one Carlos Hyde who is what you would call stout in as a pass protector and that aspect actually landed him in the doghouse McConnell Shanahan in San Francisco last year. So Jenkins wins that and spooks Bortles and it gets cleaned up by Hicks and Bennett. So they were bringing those blitzes. Yeah. Two places in the first half two sacks. Now, how did that impact? His play calling in the second half. Third play the second half six band blitz. Jenks and Hicks to the ball hand side again. So going back to a word Bortles want to escape to where do we want him escaping? We want him escape ING away from his ball hand. We want him escaping left. That's gonna come a big later in this game. When when we talk about Rousseau Doug Douglas specifically. So that's Bruce Bortles early throw. Great job on that play by resold. Douglas's work relationship with a wide receiver to turn up feel from coverage. Steer and widen. Limit that window on the side. I thought I thought if I turned early on that play the second I saw that. I was like man I'm coming back with deep comeback next drive. They didn't hit it. But I had heard early. I think if like Douglas has a slower transition phase than a lot of corners..

"Is it for? Yeah, Nitra is one of the more popular things you'll hear about sort of recreational diving. Yeah. And what that really is is just a higher concentration of oxygen get rid of some of the nitrogen. Okay. So nitrogen is kind of the evil gas so spans as it comes out of solution. Yeah, right. So the air we're breathing right now is actually eighty percent nitrogen, right? And so when you go underwater, it's too much. It's way too much. It seems greedy. Yup. And I hate it. Yeah, it doesn't whole lot or nothing, but when you get underwater, it's pressurized right. If you're at a really great depth, you're breathing pressurized air. So you have nitrogen in your blood, and if you come up too quickly that nitrogen is no longer in solution, it makes bubbles in your veins in your arteries, it clogs things, and it makes you very, very miserable, and you have the Ben's. Wow. So how do you know someone that has had the bins. No, okay. It's something you really really try hard to avoid and you'd have to like when you're diving, it's like you have to just wait if you're down like around one hundred or one hundred twenty feet. You have to come up and wait at like forty feet and then like thirty feet for like ten minutes. Oh yeah. So the gas it off. Okay, I've never done this. Yeah. So so when you come up, you have that excess nitrogen that your blood can no longer hold. So you sit there and you keep breathing and all that accession nitrogen begins to leave your blood. And so you have dive tables and dive computers that tell you exactly. Based on how DP went, how slow you should go back to the surface. She should disobey those dive tables. You run the risk of getting bent because it's like every and that's right after I saw the abyss I went out and I got my scuba diving license at age, twelve. So I started diving at twelve and so that's like the whole the whole science too. I think for people who don't do this is like every thirty two feet is one atmosphere. So it's like it's compressed. So it's like if you have like a foot like a cubic. Foot of gas at thirty two feet. That's a half cubic foot of gas and then another thirty to sixty four feet. It's another. It's another half and having had. So then it expands. You come back up because it's less pressure. Go what I like to use. Like as a visual example as you just take tonic water club soda, right? And when it's closed, you look at it, it looks fine, but the moment you open it, you release all that pressure. You see bubbles everywhere, right? That's what happens when. I like that. That's interesting. Yeah, and I'm out of it that way. Yeah, love soda. So I wanna pause the super science stuff for a second. Now we're gonna get into it only that I wanna I wanna talk about the the film. So my favorite part of the movie was when Lindsay is passed out and dead. I mean they're saying she has no pulse. She has no pulse, and then they bring her back. You're shaking your head already, Douglas what's going on by the way. Can I call you Douglas or should I say Doug, Doug Douglas, whatever. He didn't want to make you feel like your parent that that was one of the thank you. I just hate when people do that. Yeah, yeah. No, that was a moment I had trouble with. Oh, why? Why is this not? You know, you know the whole movie things suspension of disbelief that that that's great. Yeah. But what do they say was like going to be ten fifteen minutes, right back. Yeah. And she says it the way that she says it is like, that's why it's it's gonna work because she says, like, you've told me that that's what you know. I can be out for ten fifteen minutes and then get revived with hypothermia. Let's do it. And then actually there's weird moment where she's like grabbing his helmet and then she liked passes out. Right? So your arm and he goes, no, that wasn't that the plan the plan was for heard about. So why are you freaking out about it? I didn't understand that really weirded out by that. So I mean, it's understood that like when children fall under the ice, right?.

Basically pretty angry at you and other exit is for, is putting the party at risk I think major spent pretty much is being angry about, people he, says destroyed any. Kind of, vision that he, had the reality is that these people you always forget this fact whenever he speaks British people who. Did to leave the European Union it. Was made absolutely clear by people like him by the way And that would mean that we, would leave our customs union and the single market people vote shit And they understood where they were voting about and. Whatever Joe major anybody else says the reality is. That democracy is this was what was. All about we gave people a referendum wasn't an. Explosion referendum it was a decision handed to them they decided we now? Have to act on it and what would be, worse than anything else talked about by majoring code, is it if we were. Made on democratic votes we will plunge this country into a democratic crisis and that is the reality so we need to get on with this and those who don't, want to basically just have to lump it. And just see it through these talking about fiscal crisis, the prime minister you say she strong today will she be struck by the. End of the day she's got prime minister's questions at midday Chia. Faces questions for the liaison, committee this committee. Of of the the chairs of all the committees more the big issues of course will be Brexit. We also understand the Boris Johnson is. Set to make his Commons resignation speech later today as well he's going to make that formal resignation Statement straight after prime minister's questions to packed chamber we know some resignation speeches from, former senior ministers have been very damaging to. The policy could have Jeffrey how moment widely ticketed to? Having been the beginning of the downfall foot for Margaret Thatcher how damaging is. Not going to be the prime minister I predict that today will. Go off producing is concerned, like a damp. Squib I think what will actually happen is versus Johnson will make a speech in which he said. Sanchez reasons his disagreements with the government Reason to sign but I. Think believe, he will attack personally I think it will be a balanced speech I haven't, seen it but I'm convinced that. We'll be the case we have you have you spoken to Boris Johnson a Basset not about speech. But I talked to him since he's resigned. And you know he stage does he speak. Personally about, he has a difference of opinion resigned from the government some two and a half years when I disagree. With the government on a tax individuals since then I think that's the key difference so no I think that she is in a strong position because she won the vote the government one that, last night and that should be the end of the. Issue about whether it will be in the customs union there is clearly no. Parliamentary majority so that and so people just have to recognize this I mean it is quite, peculiar when the public looking on this They think they made a decision about this and people who. Simply cannot accept that decision on and on and on and they raise vast sums of money from. People all over the world just to be. Able to continue to mount this case they. Went to argue that, the British people were misled and make mistakes. And they didn't understand it the reality is that they voted? To leave and, we simply have to deliver on k. Doug Douglas Womack seventy party leader, and Brexit here thank you? Very much indeed coming up we all going to be, talking to a a guest about. Donald Trump clarifying his statement said that Lieutenant press conference but let, me just briefly get the future.
