"McCaffrey and rice for Jerry now goes in motion the lap two men in the backfield back to throw his young the middle I think forty one Richard Steve young given a test on signal I was flat on his back after getting hit after a release right right took a little bit of a bang into as he got the ball go in guiding it got into the end zone is a little shaken up again that coming up okay in his favor net shoulder a little bit right now take a look at him left shoulders he comes on touchdown pass of the game five for the most the Superbowl history Jerry rice he just breaks his own removes ahead with his own record already established for most touchdowns in a Super Bowl he's now got sick the mails all that record the extra point by Doug Brian is god and the temple of doom of Indiana Jones is nothing compared to the gloom fell by the San Diego Chargers and their fans as we move late in the third quarter forty two ten San Francisco well the Superbowl records continue to pile up for various players yeah they're all three forty Niners the record we told you about the five touchdown passes by Steve young tied Joe Montana right sold the record down receptions get is only as third Super Bowl ever in fairness I think they should continue to the records against the NFL championship game after all the holder for some forty years before we started going super bowls and Brady divided might see it quite right in terms of all the great players of the past just because they have a different name but that's what they're doing right now but certainly in the modern era the Niners are dominated here's the kick by Doug Brien Andre Coleman waiting with the score forty two to ten thanks to comes up the middle of the field cuts to his left across the twenty to thirty time the forty the only no one could see that come you could almost see it coming the cake before any needs very very dangerous as we said number two in the league returning for the entire season and he can really fly he is quick number three draft choice not against the state rookie year only a hundred sixty five pounds he's a little mosquito can live with that is ninety eight yards which is what we think it is he ties Fulton Walker Miami against Washington back in nineteen eighty three for the longest ever kickoff return touchdown so a great play by Coleman that's great I mean that in both times the forty Niners of played a Super Bowl game in this stadium they've had pick up thrown back against the Cincinnati Bengals this Stanford Jennings the name of a yeah that's right so they're going to go for too which makes sense for Humphrey stepped back throws into the middle of the field say makes the catch thirty eight point plan to make a forty two eighteen thirty three minutes ago in the third quarter so San Diego not going quietly and there will send it down to report on there's barely got the it's on the be the first to which is the right of way and that's great because the crowds here to be entertained that from a lot of money and it's not anybody's benefit for one team or another is take all the problem the excitement out of the so if you're a great player on the Chargers on the camera stayed on recalled in a third round pick in ninety four this guy was a return of ninety yards against the Steelers in December in high school sixty seven down thirty seven hundred yards rushing in only two years of high school ball the kind of lawyer that I recall business has been it is they're showing the Walker of Miami in the Superbowl back in eighty three year on television right now our monitor if you've been able to we don't mind if you want to log on Superbowl Sunday we don't serve the light if you know if you got the sound the radio broadcast and I your regular game the little the Tigers all souls if the Chargers can make this a little bit more interesting of the still a few minutes of play very nice to them on that one we got there and heard any voices right played a one this is your home of.

"Young has had a great game when you think about it they've all been touchdown passes got four already holy smokes four two down passes were the first half leaving his sid Luckman there is Doug Brian with the extra point pick is up and it's god in San Francisco takes the twenty eight to seven lead with four forty four to go here in the first half you know we all thought that the possibility was there the charges to compete but they can't fall behind any worse than this they are a second half team but this is about the outlook yeah and they're not the kind of team that's going to make a whole lot of points they stayed pretty close to both Miami and Pittsburgh in those games they didn't fall this far behind you remember in the Pittsburgh and they only had two big plays one was a a long scoring play too personal and any other one was a long played a Martin so really the only had two big offense he plays in a game against Pittsburgh already here twenty eight to seven we're going to need for five to get back on it was a nine play fifty one yard drive by the forty nine looking at the Super Bowl record for most touchdown passes ever thrown in the game was by a guy by the name of Joe Montana the last four hundred Superbowl victory when they beat the Denver Broncos fifty five ten and so all ready young has tied for second place with Terry Bradshaw Doug Williams to break through the wall had four touchdown game well he's already eliminated most of those Joe Montana demons with his play this year the quarterback rankings the second time he won the player of the year only Montana done that before so a lot of that eliminated with Steve attack of the season the only last week the one he won the MVP two years ago he knew that he had a long ways to improve any as Coleman.

"A lot of those trips are also being the latest people look and see that that sort of chaos in the streets and we can also forget I'll see you know kind of mom and pop shops small smaller at look as well casually and and Hong Kong these days than it does business being down twenty percent thirty percent it's it's it's a it's a real thing for a lot of businesses in the city and I think I think we we started to see that show up it in the numbers and that sort of confirming what people have have long been feeling over the past at least three months now as S. began and it started to get more serious with that shut down the subway I went towards number started shopping sort of quantify what people were what people or something on the street so the I think that it's it's a huge thing the government has has tried to highlight that sort of probably as a strategy of winning over the city to try and turn them again okay the protesters who has enjoyed that support hello okay he and let's cross to Steve angle who is out on the streets of Hong Kong and is covering that operation at polytechnic university Steve what are you seeing this morning well what we're hearing now is there was at the beginnings of a pre dawn dispersal operation by the police but it is since up hold back and there's a bit of a tense standoff obviously with protesters setting barricade a light at the entrance to polytechnic university which just across a Victoria harbor from the central harbor main thoroughfare of course a commute into the city for people which has been closed for many days because of this stand up we're getting a statement from polytechnic university president who says he raise your elbow that he's received reassurances from the police of a temporary suspension of the use of force but the condition is the police will not initiate the use of force if the protesters do not use force as well and they're allowing the protesters to leave unimpeded so we're we're in a standoff right now Brian obviously a very tense when we do not know how that's going to resolved but the weekend obviously instilled with a number of clashes between police more tear gas fired one police officer media liaison officer was actually hit in the leg with a with an error that was hired by protesters so it is obviously very tense situation this Monday morning Steve and it seems as though the administration of the governing body here in Hong Kong has been a notable for its absolute silence of the weekend well silence yes from Carrie lam we've not heard much from her we get here from the chief secretary Matthew Cheung late Friday I believe he promised quote more decisive measures the all the protests violence and he refused to rule out invoking further measures from within the emergency regulations ordinance also we heard repeatedly from the police they warned they could use live rounds if they faced violence this morning in their dispersal operations at polytechnic university obviously hardened battle lines on both sides of the political and security spectrum right now we also had some classes at the university of science and technology yesterday and then we have protesters leaving Chinese universities so on the one hand there's still a lot of violence out there but some of these protests are being diffused that's right up at the Chinese University of Hong Kong north of shots in the deeper into the new territory weather was here stand up obviously between police and protesters and barricades at the you know for Trish is how many people describe it but late Friday or early Saturday the protesters of their own volition gave up yeah all right Steve thanks very much I know you've got pressing duties as well on the television side we'll be working you pretty hard this morning thanks very much for joining us that's Bloomberg's Stephen angle our first guest to look at markets this morning is Steven Lee founding principle at Logan capital management well a lot of this is happening in Hong Kong so it's it's quite it's quite nervous here in the city around the rest of the region we're just getting started with trade to Steven how do you look at this week is is it still trade that's dominating the flow it seems like that's going to going to be a little bit more of a factor the maybe we thought a few hours ago we got got some news over the weekend if there's there was some some progress between the US and China so I think those are gonna be the headlines that will be paying attention to for at least the immediate future still not a government that reports of progress can we get before dealers son you know good thing it's really hard to say because some of the you know the some of the more immediate short term issues agricultural things like that they can be more easily solved and then of course there's a longer term issues of how do you deal with the business access to the to the Asian markets is the Chinese markets as well it's certainly a very different approach to intellectual property between the United States and China and I can certainly take some time so be nice to see if they'd won deal come through yeah see let's say that this is it a phase one deal but I mean if it continues to be perhaps a little bit hard to get it over the line it would seem in this phase one day it is really all about the low hanging fruit is it not and so if you can't even be able to cobble together something here then it's going to be so difficult to have a phase two and three surely agreed and and I think what's interesting about the times right now is is if you think about it government on both both the Chinese New Year are dealing with a lot of other distress a lot of other issues you know certainly domestically in the U. S. with what's going on in Washington and and what you were answered without once we've been talking you've been talking about earlier today still let's let's make two reasonable assumptions here one is that president trump wants to run for reelection I think everybody would agree with that and secondly that he's he sees himself as a great negotiator and it's hard to disagree with that so when he runs next year he wants to run as someone who can claim that he did the greatest deal with China that any president has done rather than as a China basher so it's very plain reasoning that that's why he will sign a deal here however weak the deal will get done yeah I would think that's true and it's also true on the other side that while you know president trump has has some issues in perception certainly you know if there is a change of leadership in the US the concerns will be different than what president trump has he certainly much more focused on the business side and those issues than maybe some of the other contenders may be some agree I think there's a push for both sides to want to deal with each other at least get some progress all right Stephen hold on for a moment will come back in just a few seconds you want to turn to Doug prisoner not rings up today on how the markets are shaping up on this Monday morning Doug Brian I'm seeing a little weakness right now in the Australian equity market with the SX two hundred down about two tenths of one percent this is really the first opportunity for markets in Asia to react to the record highs that we had in the U. S. equities Friday that move came on obviously the talk of the U. S. and China being very close to a partial trade deal over the weekend negotiators had a phone call and the Chinese side to characterize the discussions is constructive the trump administration meantime is reportedly poised to again extend a license to allow US companies continuing to do business with wal boy this is according to The New York Times Saudi Arabia is going to set the valuation target for the Aramco I BO IPO well below crown prince Solomon's goal of two trillion the board of H. P. ink has unanimously rejected an unsolicited takeover offer from Xerox holdings we've got the offshore Chinese currency holding steady against the dollar right now seven spots zero zero sixty nine against the green back later we're gonna get tough Thailand GDP and also from China foreign direct investment right now in terms of futures action Chicago Nikkei futures a twenty three thousand three fifty that some may be fifty points above where we were in the cash market Friday in Tokyo let's get caught up on global news now at Baxter is covering all the latest from the Bloomberg nine sixteen years room at San Francisco Eddie yeah that thank you and South Korea U. S. joint military exercises been postponed the idea to give more time for negotiations South Korea U. S. joint military exercise what phone China says its sale the carrier strike throughout Taiwan Strait comes just days after U. S. warships transited the region as well Taiwan's president scion **** says pressure on the island will increase China threats trade war Hong Kong increasing to engines Nancy Pelosi vows to protect the whistleblowers house readies for week two of the opening peach meant in query hearings president trump is asking Japan to pay about four times more year to cover the cost of on going U. S. military presence in the country foreign policy report Venice has been hit by a record third exceptional tied this week rising seas northern California P. Jeannie says it may cut power in the Sierra foothills and San Francisco's North Bay in the middle of the week and Russia says it return captured naval ships to Ukraine to Morrow all right Bryant rich back to you guys thanks all for that ed let's say get back to the situation here in Hong Kong party police have stormed into university after standoff also reports coming through that that the students and should I say was the protesters and police have come to some so sort of accommodation we're in the process is could be allowed to leave as it happened at other universities out there as well that is the situation here in Hong Kong does remain very very tense as well let's get back to August evenly he's founding principle Logan capital management no we just to talk about Hong Kong of course we have talked to a ready about where we are with that regards to the what's going on but how does it does it now not figure on your investment radar well it's interesting because all this all these developments with trade in what's going on in Europe and even domestic are happening in the backdrop were beyond where the US economy has been amazingly resilient I mean the nice thing is we the US economy does have work fifty on employment so and since we're seventy percent consumer driven there is this sort of engine of slow growth with relatively low inflation that still seems to be a persistent you know driver thing certainly certainly in the U. S. for now and as long as a consumer stays relatively healthy there's some latitude to deal with some of the others what was your take on the U. S. retail sales report out last week your work solid that little bit little bit of a little bit slower growth would still solid can consumer confidence deal seems to be fine that if anything some of the numbers look like they might be in the kick in the indicative of recently got holiday season so you know as long as employment status wrong and we're starting to see wage growth there it there that's my foundation so so so is that the foundation that you would play off if you don't trade the headlines every day and you just try to find some underlying trend that would be it that the US consumers is well and good yeah the consumer strong and that being said that the behavior if you think about the millennials are not like the what are the largest demographic group and they're getting to a point in their lives with again it's an expensive time life the gonna start investing in home so as we look into the week we want to see if the if real estate investments and traditional housing continues to go forward there's a lot of change both politically applause from technology so we are really focused on companies are able to deal with these changes take advantage of the opportunities yeah I mean did demography must play a huge role in a in how you have to decide where to invest you know what city you that's something we want to be aware of because the patterns in the demographic groups they're what they're buying is it has is not changing as they age certainly how they buy it and think about the differences in U. S. retail and companies that if you have done good jobs Vinik integrating ecommerce nami channel retailing they're doing quite well certainly there are a few that are behind on how the consumer doesn't so so the demographics go both to the of the way people are spending and whose and there is that my question Stephen thank you so much for joining us even the the founding principle that live in.

"Falling. not point nine percent that is a look at markets it's almost nineteen minutes past the hour let's get a new self. we have dug prisoner in our New York news Doug Brian will begin no with this hour's top story the Supreme Court is allowing the trump administration to limit asylum seekers at the southern border this would be the U. S. Mexican border the White House is considering a ban on non tobacco flavored vaping products given an upsurge or rather a surge in under age usage Purdue pharma is close to a settlement over its role in the opioid crisis we're told the company has secured support of twenty three states and local governments for a multi billion dollar deal NBC news is reporting Michael Cohen this is president trump's former attorney has signed a proffer agreement with the Manhattan DA's office and is agreeing to cooperate in the DA's investigation of the trump organization and the California legislature has approved the gig economy be it deal it means drivers for ride sharing companies like uber and lift will be entitled to a minimum wage mileage reimbursement and workers compensation California governor Gavin Newsom has until October the thirteenth to sign it I'm Doug prisoner in New York Juliet to you thank you Doug I'm joined here in Singapore now by Bloomberg's Michelle Jim is going to take a look at the case for and against a global recession and I guess when we talk about this Michelle a lot of the data points have been pointing to the fact that the American consumer is still spending but moment Sally basically saying if they stop then that's a bit of a worry that's right they the US consumer really is at the heart of this and especially lately and the yeah the data is piling up actually on both sides on that front I mean you've course have the trade Rhys raising and that's really battered sentiment of late I mean the university of Michigan sentiment one of the key indicators in the U. S. side you just just turned down and and kind of shockingly so maybe not shockingly was surprisingly so and we do see an auto sector that's troubled worldwide that's kind of having an impact you know in the U. S. lightly but also you know more so elsewhere and could leak into the U. S. job openings at a five month low in July. I saw all these that are kind of on the bad side but at the same time you do see signs of hope in the labor market still I mean it's it's really held up in the U. S. with consumer spending showing some of some good months and U. S. wages and labor costs pretty healthy right now so it's kind of a mixed picture on that front but there are signs that maybe it could be turning and and and really that's troublesome since that's kind of the last stable pillar of the global economy right now yeah kind of saving from from recession concerns that more and more analysts always saying don't worry this looks more like a twenty twelve or twenty fifteen Downton rather than a global recession yeah that's right of what you're hearing well it is it is a a mix again a mixed picture on the on the predictions as well I mean if you know you often hear it's looking back through the history of these recessions these business cycles they're getting longer so we've had you know the longest expansion on record since the World War two it really is kind of a it's hard to predict the duration and and even more so when that might happen and what the trigger points are but yes so there are reasons to believe that based on a historical trends that this might not be as deep as such as we've seen before and certainly not as deep as the the last financial crisis but really it's anyone's guess at this point so you know that there is another that being easy peasy cherry Mattias yesterday was saying that they they think they're they're going to see a shallow global recession and less than twelve months but it could happen as soon as next year I think with James Galway no also telling Limburg look it doesn't have to be a recession every ten right as well right yeah there's no you know there's no rule that it has to come up and and and no rule that it it's it's going to happen for a long period either is there a concern that we can talk ourselves into a downtown particularly as we see all these tweets yeah and we and we hear that from market participants to and and and businesses and CEOs sometimes always like to say you know let's not let's not just exaggerate what's happening of course in the media we do get a lot of Flack for for headlines even if we're just telling it like it is you know there is a lot of there is. a lot of blow back for for maybe talking ourselves into it as you say but you know is that is that is the whole question a a business sentiment has been roundly sour of course with the terrorists and that's hampered investment plans and hiring plans but you know you could see that turn and and that it really is that the question on the US consumers well what about what you're saying in the rest of Asia because we source sentiment Cajun Correa full in August it's worse let radiance about two years ago yeah yeah we've certainly been tracking the you know we've talked a lot about the US consumer but the consumer around the world and and yes that's been troublesome for for places like career that I've already been dealing with the other factors that everyone's dealing with trade and investment issues and even the labor market there is is not doing very well and so we've seen that across the board I mean India is another example you know certainly the auto sector is is not doing well there but the consumers is really you know battered and in other ways so yeah we we do see signs that the the global consumer has already kind of turned down it's just a question of whether the world's biggest economy will see that as well and just very quickly of course to get the ECB making you think they'll talk about the weakness in hiring and and everything as well surely that's the I mean that's the biggest I mean I don't there's so much to talk about in the city. so I think they'll hit on that maybe not directly as directly as were were speaking right now but certainly a factor as they as they look at signs the downturn might be coming all right thanks Michelle generates great thanks as always taking a look at the case for and against a global recession with Morgan Stanley economist warning that to American consumers are all that stand in the way of the U. S. contraction looking pretty good though he in terms of market action as we got a little bit of good will from both sides both the US and China in terms of the latest on the trade dispute the US saying that they're going to push.

the bagel man that was it sorry about that live here at the image and we'll talk about the two o'clock that's only deal yeah do you get it early go absolutely what what the traffic now we leave the house at nine I don't think for him on a a better deal getting a little earlier the home for dinner a little earlier hopefully yes kids gonna be like why are you here yeah what are you doing here dad Hirono back to work so yeah I want to shoot a video after the show or something like that for crew does not to fight the bay bridge traffic anymore coming in for the mid morning crews out many fights with many different forces out there though there is a way home we have to deal with that right yeah flight is way every day she just can't come and then in the Nahr time or if you were talking about the sun it's unbelievable actor yeah I have your sunglasses on your because now I'm gonna call you I got a problem my what's wrong we go right over the regular ones yeah sure you do right these are prescription shades are with you too and it is underneath but for some reason it's not working this morning okay that's Joe I'm not to get it out we got up here in your house says a lot about Robbie gold yeah what he said holding out he still hasn't made a decision yet so he's gonna what we quoted as I don't have a plan right now what's going on yeah he's going to be here his plan he won't commit and so he won't commit to reporting of the fourteeners don't trade him yeah I'm I don't know what his guys coming from Allison eager he's a good kicker I'd love to have on the record saying oh sorry at the same time let's get things in perspective here right I mean he's not so you don't think one Barkley and I don't have yet to make any decision right now I don't have a plan right now obvious is the deadline internet to make uses anytime soon the deadline to sign a long term contract is Monday and the rest of a potential does up to me I don't have a plan here's a point duty in a plan right now plans put the ball on the tee and kick it that's it yeah that's the whole plan gold said it's a quote complicated situation and quote okay life is complicated yeah learn how to sort through that they said a kid yeah a little tough because all the kids and they still do it but you don't I mean you guys I think I'm going tough love would be sitting right here would you be to talk and so bad I don't want to stay yeah hello with a moment here's the deal we will try to get him at some point but yeah he's requested a trade I you know Niners have no interest in making a trade and there's no such thing is I don't know I don't know yeah that was it I got to stand off your kid that's the latest I mean yeah it I mean there is an argument that you can go find a kicker anywhere right well that's not entirely true having a bad kicker become a serious problem you can lose games because of a bad kicker loose ball games when the last time that I was really were plagued by kicking problems we Phil Dawson Robbie I like that about a twenty year runs a good question actually let's think about the look on that and then Jose Cortez is that gonna go back to god about Jose yeah we are because they had a pretty good history on my co for had a little few Mrs he would miss Fauria every now and again when you didn't even to the mess that is benefitted from a missed field goal nineteen eighty three plus Eddie Murray aligns missed one to get them into the championship game thank goodness for that messy I you know I missed wish Mr free could be able Matt flippin bar is who I wish to feel how you know I mean the worst may feel gone candlestick history yeah my god I don't know a lot about it Robbie gold right at all hold on a minute don't forget to to place that against the the height Hanna Barbera guy who says exit stage left it's very similar by the way they were from actually sponsored by Donna financial group because planning is a process for loans insurance investments and "Michigan has done its part to make next week's clash Wisconsin really will bring taken down Maryland forty two to twenty one to get the five and one on the season. Welcome back into the post game show Brian Bush with you karate Higdon voice. He'd been fantastic for Michigan wolverines without Chris Evans here today, and he was the bell cow for the wolverines twenty-five carries a hundred three yards and he's down to that Michigan locker room with Doug cars. Doug. Brian. Thanks twenty-five carries one hundred three yards for Koran Haganah goes over two thousand for his career. How to feel out there today? I feel great. We lose going to be a dogfight out there. We can't play man in his show each and every play. I'm so proud of offense. You a little talk about the run blocking a little bit. Because it felt like this today. It was a consistent four to five yards per carry for you. Those the favorite games. I talked about last week against northwestern guys are gonna key on the run game. Now, we've been having some success. So we spent defenses really trying to take away our run and we've got some strong front, and they're not going to let happen. We gotta talk about Shay's performance making plays happened. When pass protection did break down the plate at Donovan people's Jones. He pulled that like a rabbit out of a hat. Yeah. Man. That was amazing. You know, but I've seen those plays and many more in practice and solve it wasn't that soccer. I'm just excited for him. He had a heck of a day. And I'm proud of obviously the pass protection was pretty good some of the deep boss. It looked like he had all day, and you guys are part of that from the running back position. But whether it's you or the offense of line creating opportunities to get the ball downfield giving your quarterback time. Good job today. It looked like. Yeah. They did a heck of a job on the backs. Did a great job as well. Of and like, you said, you know, say was able to make something out of it, man. That's what it's all about. When officers flicking together. He's made great place. How.

"Two hundred eighty third consecutive game. More than one hundred thousand fans filed into the big house, and they were able to weather a pre-game delay to enjoy a forty two twenty one Michigan victory over Maryland. Wolverines only allowed the turps to acquire two hundred twenty yards and much of that came in garbage time or at least late in the game. When it was likely not in doubt, Michigan's defense really strong Tyree. Kennel was one of the keys for the wolverines. And he's down to the Michigan locker room with Doug Karsh. Doug. Brian. Thanks tyree. Let's just start with your overall thoughts on the defensive performance today. But that we played well we had a very good stretch of plan. Good ball. And we're getting them off the field pretty early. And you know, they're they're good offense. They do a lot of different things a lot of emotions a lot of things to try to get us off balancing. I thought we did good executed the game plan today. There was a couple of holes that we know that we are happened later in the GameBoy overwrought that we played great great. There was a point that game ended the first quarter. Second quarter defense is on the field. You're down seven three after the long touchdown on the kick return. Rashawn Gary wasn't playing was in the middle of the defensive huddled out on the field. Talking to the guys do you? Remember that moment you remember what he said he I mean, he was supportive all week an all game. You know, you know, he knew he wasn't gonna go to play this week. And he was here for us all week and throughout the game. He's on the sideline with us. And it was great to have his support out there. You know felt like he was out there. He just wasn't really plan. The challenge of defending Maryland a lot of jet sweeps. They do a lot of like pull the rabbit out of a hat in the backfield with the football. What made it tough? To defend the jet sweeps and some of the other stuff they had a little success with the thing is that they're good at what they're doing. They know they stay disciplined to that. And they try to have a good game plan against our defense. And now, you know, they had a couple of garage overwrought that we played well against it. And we know stopped it for the most part, and especially I have twenty yards of half. So we did really good. You know, they didn't stop fighting. They can they got a couple. Good runs on us. At the end of the game. But you know, I thought we played Tari Kenilworth us in the Michigan over into win. The one of the more popular plays in the game. I would say was brand of Watson pick six for the touchdown. When he got to the sidelines. You guys mobbed him. He refused to talk to us. He's not a talker. So what do you think he would say we asked about that point? I mean Brennan's oh old guy here, you know. And he he's been working hard, you know, especially for moments like this. And you know, I if I had to say somebody would say, he's just blessing. You know, he he's just doing everything the right way in this program. And that's what happened when you when you do good days. You know, good things you wanna come. So he's he's he's doing good. I'm happy for him to get a big play. Like that. After the Notre Dame game. Everybody looked at the schedule and said, well, the goals gotta be to get the five and one before your face, Wisconsin. And you guys don't look past any opponent. Clearly, but you've done that now with a huge game looming. How ready do you guys feel for that challenge next Saturday night or covered a boost is extremely high right now five straight wins. And you know, we can't wait. We're back home. It's going to be prime time. And our fans are going to be behind us. Get out after you know, we always wanting, you know, we went to their place, and they beat us. Oh, we own kennel. Thanks for your time. Brian back to you. All right, Doug. Thank you very much. Thanks for taking some time. We'll flip to the offensive side of things and hear from grant Perry who had three catches for twenty four yards. And he had a completion. We'll talk about that with grandparents we continue along wolverines over Maryland. Forty two to twenty one.

"He has three touchdowns wolverines obliterate, Nebraska, fifty six to ten Mason now with six career scores in the maize and blue he's down to the Michigan locker room and very happy. Michigan locker room with Doug Karsh. Doug. Brian. Thank you. And you out of the single setback. Loan running back. We talked during the week. You must have known. This was coming. But how do you like that formation? Yeah. I knew it was Thomas we've had it in a couple of weeks now but made the debut today, and we run hard the blocks were there, and look when's the last time you had a three touchdown game. Haven't since high school my senior year last week. Donovan people's Jones got in the end zone three times and held up the three fingers this time after your third touchdown when you got to the bench. He greeted you with the three fingers that must've been fun. That was really funny. I held the three fingers backup you said. During the week. I asked you what's better for you long run for a touchdown or a big block. And you leaned over to me and said, well, how big's the block so today you got actually had some longer runs. It must have been fun to kind of get in the open field break through the line of scrimmage for. Sure. I I love carrying the ball. That's one of my favorite things to do in football and blocking great and everything. But if the team needs me to carry the bomb hundred let's do that to how about how about the job your offensive line. Did all the offensive line was moving people off the ball today. It was great to see talk about northwestern next week challenge ahead for you got having really looks much into. Loan, but it's another big ten team. And I'm sure we're going to go in there and to a hostile environment and OBI challenger. Do. You think big ten play the intensity in the building this week? Maybe brought out the best in you guys. Yeah. I think it's also an internal things too. I think it was a lot of the guys that came out very hungry this weekend with fire. So that was really good for the football team. Your defense held them to thirty nine yards rushing on thirty carries. You obviously go against him in practice quite a performance by them today. That's an unbelievable. I mean, almost what'd you say? Thirty nine thirty nine yards on thirty carries a little over a yard carry. I mean doesn't get better than that. Donovan people's Jones. Punt return to all electric, the spin move to dive. It was just great a lot of great blocks on that to your physical player. So I want you to get evaluate something Dylan McCaffrey had to run and late. The put a shoulder down and ran over a defendant a defender, you're lying went nuts. Did you see it? When you just said, I literally got chills all the way down my body because that's that's great for great quality of a quarterback. You wanna have someone who's physical and ready to put their shoulder down for the team and do anything that it takes one extra talked to thanks for your time. We debuted your your nickname bench. Mason we call on the broadcast today. So just say, no, that's your old nickname from the weight room. So we debuted it to the people today. Awesome. Thank you bench. Mason. Thanks for your time. Appreciate it three touchdowns. Brian back to you. Pretty cool. A if you're trying to debut and get a new nickname to catch on three touchdown certainly will help that process. Good work from Ben Mason. And the wolverines they would at fifty-six at ten over. The huskers will flip to the defensive side of the ball and hear from Josh Patel's in Devon Bush as we continue along on the post game show after this wolverines just blow out Scott frost and the huskers here in the Michigan IMG.

"Coming out. Early offense to the hell of a job and our defense. A time believable without game was going really good shape. Patterson after Michigan's victory here today. Forty nine to three heard it from the wolverine signal caller everybody played a part a very important part including this Michigan defense. Oh, so close to delivering a shout. I'll settle free three point Broncos performance. Brad Hawkins was in the midst of much of that great productivity from the wolverines defensively and he's down to the Michigan locker room with our Doug Karsh. Doug. Brian. Thank you. And Brad, let's talk about your overall feeling of defensive effort today today. We had a great game. You know, we've paired week we came out strong. You know, we we priest it all week about just not letting them breathe. So I mean, that's what we did today. When I hear everybody did a job everybody play. Well, we got the job done got the field goal to end. And I know Don Brown was gonna use that may have a reason to be mad at ya. So other than that they'll pretty much a complete defensive game. Yes. I mean, we tried to stop him on that last drive. We had we thought we had the block field goal. But they said it was off side. But yeah, but I mean, it was it was definitely a great game by the defense robot by both sides of the ball forty two points offense. So I mean, it was just a it was a good team. When a great team how about you. There was a third down play swing pass out of the backfield where you closed and not drop the guy for a loss. Take us through that. I had I see that the linebacker had got picked by my guy. So I mean, I just took over his guy in the working right to me. And I just made a play on it. They had six hundred twenty seven yards a week ago. Two hundred eight yards today. Obviously what you guys saw thelma's an explosive team. And maybe the most impressive thing is their best receiver. Dwayne ask ridge who went for two hundred and forty yards last week was targeted eight times and only two catches as a secondary. You gotta love that. Yes. You know, we preach. The every day all day you want to be the best secondary in the country. You know, you got two great guys on the outside. Look, very hill Dave along. So I mean, they did a pretty good job on him in keeping him from getting any catches or any touchdown. So did you guys stay up late and watch SMU your next opponent last night? I mean, we watched a little without a game. But instead of too late had to get some sleep. We knew we had early on. So I mean, they're definitely a spray team. They want a lot of tempo. So we're going to be ready, Brad. Thanks your time. Appreciate Brad Hawkins down to the Michigan locker room back to you. All right. Doug, good stuff from Brad Hawkins from missing tire. Michigan defense as they. Now. Celebrate this victory and look ahead SMU Mustangs team that was right there with TCU at the half yesterday before the horned frogs pulled away to win big. We'll preview that matchup. Look ahead to this next week of Michigan football also have one final wrap up wolverines downing western Michigan. Forty nine to three..

"Wolverines forty nine to three victory over western a little extra special for Koran Higdon why it was birthday celebrated his twenty second today in front of more than one hundred ten thousand people and he did so with one hundred forty first quarter yards one hundred fifty six to the game including a touchdown. He's down to the Michigan locker room with Doug Karsh. Doug. Brian. Thanks cranleigh. Just start with your overall thoughts on today's game offensively thought. It was great. I thought we came out strong. The they did they brought the game. I'm so proud of those guys, you know, today's bit contribution to them. You know, they put it all on him up all on the line. And now they did a heck of a job a sixty seven yard touchdown run. Take us through it from your perspective. Yeah. A slow pleaded. I singing sees Ruis in front of me. And I was thinking to myself, you know, I can just temporary down and let them get on safety. I can just blow pass the safety and make it a foot race. I felt like I had to leverage made it a foot race. And I want you had to break a tackle in front of your own sideline on that run. That's one where he could push you out or he could take you down and take us through kind of getting past that last guy. Yeah. I think I was just too far in front of his last thing was, you know, trying to take my legs out. You know, like I said I jumped over that hurdle and got into the end zone. It's felt like one of those games where everybody got involved, and it probably is a pretty happy locker room. It is for sure, you know. But we gotta take this with a grain of salt. We got some other competitions coming up, you know. And this is just a great start. Tell us a little bit about the week of practice and preparing for this game. How intense was it to try? Move beyond last week. I think it was very intense. Guys, would really focus coaches, you know, making sure they're good players making sure there's a good, and you know, we just capitalize each and every day. Got better each and every day and just really took advantage hundred and fifty six yards rushing. We just got that total. But over three hundred as a team, I know running backs an offensive lineman. Love those types of numbers. Oh, yeah. For sure. Unless you know, you're gonna job done. You know, like I said credit those guys up front tells all today and they showed on the field. Got to ask you about the Jacob McCurry. Touchdown walk on the sideline went nuts. All Magus also happened to so proud of him that kid works hard day in and day out. You know, and I knew last year he was going to be a great contributed and today, he got his opportunity. He sees it. I don't know if you guys stayed up late and watched SMU last night. But obviously, you got them coming next week and tell us a little bit about that match. I did I watched it a little bit. You know, those guys jumped out on TCU. I'm not sure how the game ended. But those guys were in a dogfight, and they were you know, they were holding their own. So I know they're not gonna come in here and take us lightly, and they're going to definitely try and jump on us. Thanks for your time. Thank you Brian back to you. All right. Good stuff there from a leader on this ballclub Koran Higdon and boy did he show it Michigan needed a big victory. They needed an emphatic victory. And he was the catalyst early with one hundred forty rush yards in the games. I fifteen minutes a catalyst for the entirety of this game. The defense in one of the members of the defense. Brad Hawkins will join us. When we come back as the post game show Roselawn forty nine to three Michigan downing the Broncos of western Michigan here in the.
