"Have that connect unit as a separate thermometer that also use the same app. It has all the same technology all the same recipes. Everything loaded in To it, And you can use it with your gas grill your charcoal grill. Whatever girl you have, it will do the exact same thing. The only difference is with the smoke fire. You can actually control the grill itself from your phone as well. So if you're smoking something, the 2 50 You want to turn the temperature up to 400 degrees or whatever. You can do that with your phone. You can shut the girl down. Check the internal temperature of your food. Look up some funding recipes from Weber. So that's called the Weber Connect grilling hub. And you have one of those two. I think, Dean, right? I heard you talk about that, but yeah, I do. I was using it at home. On my genesis at home because I dig the, uh and I'd like million of you. I like knowing the temperature of I like to know when I'm when I should go back outside to take things off again. It gives me exactly the perfect temperature. You are grilling chunky. All right, so the same way. Yeah. So here for the Fourth of July. I wanted to what? I'm going a couple of things I'm going to do on the grill on TV this coming Wednesday. I wanted to do a chicken on the grill. Now should I? Should I use just my regular genesis, or should I fire up the smoke fire for that? Oh, that's a good question, Dean. I think it's really kind of up to what sort of slavery you're looking for. You know, Obviously we know with a Weber Gas grill, you're going to get good roast and flavor. It's going to be a fantastic chicken. But what's nice about the smoke fire is since it is using those hardwood pellets to actually fuel the grill, you're going to get some really nice smoke flavor in there as well. So if you're looking for more of like a smoked chicken, you could put it on the smoke fire at the lower temp, you know, to 75 something like that 300 degrees. But if you if you wanted To get you know Still some more wood flavor, but not necessarily a smoked chicken. You can set your smoke fired 353 175 degrees and do more of a high temperature roasting. Now what I've done what kind of able to do goal When I've done chickens on the grill before I've done the beer cans style. Oh, yeah, yeah. You know, you can just put the beer can up the chickens, but pretty much and let it go. I put it on on vertical roasters. Just you know, like regular vertical roasters. Also when they come out great, because they sort of self baste the chicken and I've done them Greek style I've done on BBQ I've done like teriyaki style of done that, you know. Is that a good idea? Yeah, I love doing that. And what's fun? Like you said. You can use different rubs that only can you use the different seasonings. You can also use different liquids in there. Um, I used the Weber poultry roaster. We have a few different ones. But there's a fun one. It's called the deluxe poultry roaster, and you set the chicken on there. There's no can involve there just a little reservoir and kind of put whatever liquid you want in there. Um, sometimes I'll use like an or sisters or a lemonade. Or if I'm going to use a beer with a little flavor I'll use, you know, throw a summer shandy in there for a little Citrus flavor, So there's a lot of the Three things you can do to kind of make the recipe your own, And that's what I love about it. Okay, So what about I've had I did a pesto pasta this past week on TV because people have been saying they want me to do vegetarian stuff. You know, A lot of people are not eating meat. What's what's something good vegetarian to do on the grill? Well, whenever I have, you know, somebody who I know has dietary restrictions or vegetarian or vegan. You know, I'll try to Italian that recipe with whatever else I'm also cooking because I hate for a guest who is eating something a little differently from everyone else at the party, right, feels excluded or feel like they're not getting to enjoy what everyone else is having. So what am I go twos or something like that? I love making marinated Greek chicken kebabs. It's one of my favorite things to grill. Um, you know, you can ask my friends and family I kind of I don't lean out. But I I trust me. I love doing it. I'll just fill the grill up with them, and they're so good, but I like to do with that is all use the same Marinate I make and I'll just do a bunch of vegetables. I'll get some firm tofu. I'll marinate the tofu as well. And what I try to do is make my you know tofu and the marinated vegetable kebabs. Look just as similar to the Greek chicken kabob. So you know my vegetarian reviewing friends can be comfortable. They know that I serve something that is safe for them, but they also feel like they're part of the party. You know, that's that's a great idea to have something that was just similar to whatever your main entree is also talk. Talk to me about a dessert on the grill. I made Couple of weeks ago on TV, we made a strawberry rhubarb cobbler on the grill. It was delicious. I made one last night. I made one again. I'm the same one last night. Same thing except a little bigger. It was right. It was really good better because you want to have some leftovers. Uh, for this What's a good dessert to do on the grill in Doug's world? Well, I'll be honesty. You really aren't limited too much. I mean, whatever dessert you feel like cooking in the oven, especially during the hot summers. When it's 90 degrees out. We're pushing 100 degrees always to do everything on the grill and whether used in the Weber gas Grill or the smoke fire. The girls cooks so evenly and they hold the temperature so well, you can really do anything on there. So that includes deserts, so give me and I want to give me one quick example. Because I got about 30 seconds left. Well, I love Doing a quick cake and get treated just like a normal cake. I love doing well doing cookies on there, but one of my favorite girl recipes. It's called the Banana boat, and you actually could have banana long ways and you stuff it with marshmallows and chocolate. You can put anything you want in there and you kind of roasted indirect for about a half hour until the banana turns black. It's going to be one of the best desserts you've ever had. That sounds fantastic. Doug Badger S K. K. R. Weber Check out check out all the different grills at Ace.

"Good news. As you know, we've been covering this You know, release of sexually violent predators. These are not just sex offenders. These are the worst of the worst. They sexually violent predators with mental illness, a pattern of habitual abuse. On the use of violence in their crimes. They wanted to put Doug Badger and moral Wakefield in a home in a residential community. Out in alcohol in the Mount Helix area. We've been fighting this every step of the way. In the case of Doug Badger, the judges not yet ruled. We're hoping that the judge will rule against him being released and put in that community. But today at a San Diego in a San Diego courtroom A judge decided to block the release of moral Wakefield, saying that the site was totally inappropriate. And it's AH big victory today for public safety. Sarah Thompson has been working on this with us. She's an activist that has organized public outcry. She's been on the show a number of times talking about this, and she joins us for a little bit of a victory dance here, Sarah, We're all feeling really, really good. What was your reaction when the judge said Okay, That's it. I agree with the with the public. We're not gonna do this. Oh, gosh, Carl. Honestly, The first thing I did was just burst into tears. I think it's just It's been so emotionally draining and taxing, and just I mean, we've been fighting for, like, almost six weeks to stop this, and I just Just start crying. I mean, it's tears of joy, but also just I can't believe this is still actually going on. Yeah, well, it is still going on because we still don't have the other judge weighing in on the placement of Doug Badger. The judge. In that case, I decided to take a little bit of time to think about things. What's interesting here, though, is that with one judge already ruling the site inappropriate for the placement of a sexually violent predator. I don't see how we judge in the same court system can then make a contrary ruling neck. That's what my gut tells me. That's what common sense would tell us. But we are talking about California courts. What are you hearing? What do you feeling? What are people saying about the other judge it and perhaps he would take take the lead from this ruling today. I think we're thinking the same thing you are. But again, you know, you just don't know I I honestly don't know why it's taken this long. Maybe he didn't want to influence the second judge. And, you know, we kind of kept thinking. Maybe he's just really reviewing. No. We sent thousands of opposition letter. So you know, maybe he was really reviewing everything I don't know. I'm praying that he is really took. It took today's judgment into account and he's going to come out maybe today and say, you know, I agree. Just honestly never know. And but we're prepared either way, if he says no. Then we're preparing a huge block party. And if he says yes, but it's okay to place them. Then we're gonna hire an attorney and fight this till the end. That's right. Because we've already raised the issue that the county of San Diego was negligent in doing. It's legally required reviews on the placement of the sexually violent predators. We have that we have them dead to rights. They didn't do what they were supposed to do. But the only way to enforce that is for citizens to them, You know, collect money to hire a lawyer and file a lawsuit to force the county to do what it was supposed to do and see if we can get It's actually violent predator removed from the community, But in the meantime it it may very well be that Doug Badger that sexually violent predator could end up being in the community for a period of time. While we're fighting it out in court, and nobody wants that. No. And how unfortunate for us. I'm sorry to say, but I mean, you know, it's like, what did we do to have to deserve this? It's you know, we have to fight this. We don't have any other option. Unfortunately, like you wake up in your whole world is just completely turned upside down. And you have to just be prepared to go to battle and and women were willing to do that. But it's really sad that your whole life kind of has to be put on pause. We have come up with money to do this. We have to pay attorneys that this is the case. It's all because you know what the county didn't follow the laws and individual liberty. They've been probably done this plenty of times, do I? I bet you this is just the beginning. Karl. If you really dug into more of this stuff that liberty's done, I can guarantee they probably done this several other times. There's no doubt in my mind, there's no doubt in my mind that they've cut corners. To them to help with the public safety. Let's just make a buck on putting sexually violent predators in the community, and these landlords are the same way they don't care about the safety of their neighbors. They just say, Hey, let's bring these people and I could make a buck off my property. Who cares? On D County by not doing its job knows that, uh the only thing to stop them would be a lawsuit, which means The members of the public have to pay for the legal fees. They have to be the ones to mount the legal case and and fight it out. And the county knows that. I mean, this is so wrong on so many levels. Yes, either way to taxpayers are getting, you know, start to say this group and it's like, but it's like we don't have an option. There has to be a better way. There needs to be something you know, looked at either legislative or, you know someone a bill. First of all, I I really don't think that the homeowner should be incentivized. If they're going to do this, you know the fact that they could pay $4000 a person. Me is completely absurd, but also that this wouldn't be allowed to be placing these men in a neighborhood. Any neighborhood. You know that this is wrong and all in all the France specks of it. S So what are the next steps were how come people join you? Well, you can join our Facebook group, which is kid Safe. California with post up updates on their will hopefully be posting of maybe a celebratory message that the judge Weathers has come out when opposed the placement of Douglas Badger hopefully soon Join that and really research. You know, the Department of State Hospitals Research Liberty because again we like I've said before. We are the guinea pigs of this can happen to us. They're going to be trying to do this again and in another neighborhood, they can't keep placing them on Lian Hakam Barn on Lee in Campo. They need to find other places because they're being released. These guys are being released. So they're looking to find places to place them. We need to come up with better options as a community as taxpayers. We need to really come together and think about a better place to put these men All right, Sara. I appreciate your leadership on this. We're going to continue to fight on it. We have to make this political unfortunately, because politicians are the ones that are causing this to happen. Wait. We have to force the county to do it's damn job, which again gets back to the politicians. So let's continue to follow this. I'll be on key. You aside tonight talking to their audience about this issue, and we'll be ready to fight tooth and nail and we'll wait for that judge's decision and the Doug Badger case. Thank you, Carl. I appreciate all your help. Absolutely happy to help coming up the top story, with the nation facing skyrocketing inflation and people on welfare, not willing to work. Democrats double down. This is going to get really bad friend, my friends. First traffic in the North County fountain off sewing.

"6 43. It is Alabama's morning news. I'm JT and joining us now from the Heritage Foundation. Doug Badgers here to talk a little bit more about what's happening with all these mandates that seemed to coming down our governor, just extending hours here in the state of Alabama through March. And Biden saying Everybody put a mask on federal property Then course he doesn't do it. So I mean, what's good for the goose? Not so much for the gander. Joining us once again talk a little bit more. Welcome back in. Doug, I appreciate you being here. Thank you. J t hope you're having a great morning. I am so far so good. Let's talk about the lockdown. So social distancing all the mask wearing here. Is there a better way to combat this? What about self testing and that type of thing? Yeah, Absolutely. JT, Look, we reported our first US covert case a year ago. If I told you then that we were going to do massive lockdowns, extensive school closures. Telling everyone to wear masks, and a year later, we would have 400,000 deaths. Associate ID with the infection. You probably would have said Do we have a plan B. On so far. Unfortunately, we don't We've been very, very fortunate that pharmaceutical manufacturers have produced the vaccine as quickly as they have. We're still months away from having a sufficient number of people immunized that that leaders are going to say it's okay for us to return to whatever normal is So, Yeah, We need to be doing something Mork or and so far that we don't have a real indication from the Biden administration that they tend to do more. Well, they're blaming the President Trump administration for not having a plan better in place for mass distribution. Having a plan B that you discussed and combating this virus. I thought the president Trump, uh, Did a fantastic job with the task force getting everybody together that he could the experts in the field moving forward. I mean, warp speed on this vaccine distribution is still slow going in. A lot of areas, including our state here were last on the list as far as actual, you know, administering of the vaccines, saying that the It's we've got them here. Some. But now they're saying even that is going to be a slowdown Hurdles to overcome with the vaccine distribution. So, uh, what are your thoughts on where we go with this? I mean, I wear a mask. I've got the antibodies because I've had it. But I wear the mask. You know, more than just, you know, respect folks around me that you know, I don't want the looks and discussions from people aren't you wearing a mask? You know, so Your thoughts on where we ought to be going and concentrating right now. Well, we're in the same boat, JT. I wear masks and both my wife and I got it and we're fortunate to have recovered from it over the Christmas holidays. Let me tell you where I would start. The president by his press secretary said last night that White House staffer being tested daily. Good for them. What about the rest of us for the rest of us were testing at a rate of about two million per day. Um, you know you go. You get your test. You wait three or four days and find out. You didn't have it three or four days ago. Um, what we haven't had either from the FDA under the previous administration or yet, under the new one is the FDA to allow us to have access. Too low cost several tests right that yield instant results that we can do at home. Until that happens, we're gonna be stuck in the same pattern on we've got to break out of it. I'm with you there, my son coaches in college football. They test three times a week mandatory for those folks to be tested. You know the organizations that have the financial you know, wherewithal to do that can get it done. Obviously, the White House has got the financial means to get it done. But you're right. The average Joe. It's got to be affordable and it should be available soon. I mean, if they can do the 15 minute, quick test Now what's preventing more manufacturers to step up that game and allowing us to buy it in the Walgreens or CBS and go get the self testing kits there? I mean, is, Do you see that? That is a major hurdle or they just haven't you know, worked in that direction yet? Well, the FDA has not yet approved those tests that are very affordable. So far, they've only approved one test that you can get over the counter. Um and do your own gets room results at home. Unfortunately, it cost 30 bucks a pop. It's made. But are you an Australian company, and they think they can get 20 million of them here over the first six months of this year? Well, you know, that's not good enough. There were other products pending before FDA that really cost only a dollar or two to produce. Can be manufactured at the rates of tens of millions a day and give the rest of us the kind of thing that your son's football team and that president by the staff get. Which is to find out what their status is right on a fairly regular basis. Let the families and their you know those are the citizens have a you know the making best decisions for themselves. Based on what their test looks like, in their own homes. I agree with you completely. So you know, we've got some work to do on it. No doubt about it. Doug Bad your Heritage Foundation. Thank you so much. Doug. It's 6 48 now. Alabama's morning news. Well, if remote work is here to stay, Uh, might businesses adjust this year to continue to be successful? We'll be talking with Clint Pageant who is the president and CEO of Project Success Inc. Up next three minutes. Alabama's morning news Free healthcare hundreds to more than $1000 per month and.

Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin says no, he's running for re election. So if we put Look forward to working with Biden administration, but I will be working with the administration while serving this mirror, burning him. I'm Leah Brandon, and this is Alabama's morning news Now back to your host. Here's J T. All right, Leah. Thank you very much. It is 6 34 Alabama's Morning news. Well, this is kind of interesting here. Not only is President Trump left the Oval Office, but it also looks like the Diet Coke button has left as well. Are you familiar with this? Yes, very famous button that would bring the President Trump Ah beverage when he pressed it Well, it's absent in the photos of the President Joe Biden's Resolute desk posted yesterday, Ex White House aide Chris Simms claims that Trump would use the button in a prank guests into thinking he was launching nuclear devices when in reality was alert for his staffers. That he was Thursday. Bring me a Diet Coke. Yeah, by and got rid of that. He also got rid of a mil. The military flags in the Oval Office. You see that? Why is he doing this? Is it offensive now have military flags, and we're offending people. Now it's unbelievable on a believable How about some good news this morning, Robert Peters has been delivering pizza for the Tipton, Indiana Pizza Hut for 31 years. And the town calls him Mr Smiley. Well when he had car trouble with his 28 year old Oldsmobile regular customer started to go fund me to buy him a new car. Raised $18,000 and surprise him with the 2017 Chevy Malibu, along with paying for the registration, the insurance and the taxes. They also gave private on the gas card and a big nice. Thank you. Tip is well. That's the way to take care of somebody in your community. How about them? I love this 12 pair of anonymous donors have paid off $95,000 worth of medical bills for patients it Pratt Regional Medical, centering Pratt, Kansas, The hospital says the generous gift allowed them to pay the debt owed by 430 families. No word on who the givers were, but they're active kindness, obviously helping hundreds of people there. That is just incredible right there. Did you see that? The Powerball has a winner. And that winner is out of Maryland. I mean, this This is a ton of money, and apparently, the good news is The family that one. It's in a really small part of Maryland rural town and it's a poor town. Obviously, it's got about 22% unemployment obviously way above. The national average, but they're not going to unveil who it is just yet they may or may not Maryland's one of those states. Where you have the option of not coming forward and saying who you are that one the money, but My gosh, That's a lot of money that they have one now. I mean, you know, after the cash payout and everything The Powerball jackpot now starts over 20 million, But you know, it's unbelievable that it was 750 billion or something like this. And then cash payout was 500 million and After that, in taxes and everything, and they're probably gonna walk away, You know, $250 million But I'm not sure we're ever gonna find out about it. But it was one winning family is about 300 families living there in this little town. It's called LA Koning, Maryland. Locking Oni, Lana Koning. Lana Koning, Maryland. I think that's how you pronounce it, but it's a poor little town and, uh, you know, it's It's a couple that they have won this money so You know, bless them. That is good news for them. There's no doubt about that. 6 37 Alabama's Morning news. So all this talk about the mass mandate the president signed this whole new. You gotta wear it on federal property. Keep going. We're fighting code. Well, you know. His rapid tests are marginally less accurate, but it's more than you know, offset by their volume. I mean Testing tens of millions of people daily, as opposed to two million frequency people contest themselves often. When is this happening? Well, I think that there's some folks it also think that we should You know its citizens of this country do what we need to do. But it be our decision and not have the government, you know, hammers down on this. "50 deadlock, including forming the majority body in the Senate, that would be the first vote, she will break that ties of the Democrats now have barely have a majority in the Senate. And, of course, now they have the head of the executive branch and the president, United States Joe Biden. So here we are, as the loyal opposition and part of our role here in our job here is communicating all of the things that the executive branch along with the legislative branch may do that will make your life miserable. That will report reverse the very good path we were on over the last four years of the Trump presidency. So let's get to that. Shall we dug? Badri joins us not from Heritage Foundation doesn't Thank you for joining us. Good to talk with you. Thank you for having me. Well, have you written quite a bit here about where the current state of our covert policy? I've seen the President Biden of his signed into executive order a mask mandate for anyone in federal properties federal parks for federal buildings. He's trying to influence governors to institute mask. Policies. Can you tell us how that policy has been working so far? Well, so far, it hasn't worked out terribly well. Now I want to be clear on this. Public health authorities in the U. S. And throughout the world agree that mask wearing slows the pathogens rate of growth, so not telling people don't wear masks Where are saying masks or bad thing? But then the question is what happens when you have mass mandates? Has that really shown to be a powerful tool against the pandemic? We looked in the US and we went county by county We identified 25 U. S counties reporting the highest number of new cases during the surge in cases here that would be an last fall. 21 is, um, had mass mandates in place prior to August, Looking at the 100 counties. With the most confirmed cases over the fall, 97 had either a county level mass mandate a state level mass band aid or both. He also looked at Italy, which has a national mass mandate back by €1000 fine and enforced by the military police. Once again, we saw a big run up in cases so wearing masks is a good thing. But if that is our main tool, what we find is it's really inadequate and we need to look at other policies that the government should be pursuing that we do a better job at getting control of infection. I want to get to the solutions here in a moment of what you think might be doing a better job. In a moment we're seeing the Doug Badger is with the Heritage Foundation is a former White House and Senate policy adviser. He's now senior fellow that Galen Institute and a visiting fellow over at Heritage Foundation. And you specifically right here in your article over daily signal that relying on lockdown, social distance things and mass isn't working, and that's pretty much over hearing now from the incoming by administration is that we need more lockdowns. We need more mask protocols and more social distancing protocols. You're basically saying what they're prescribing is exactly what hasn't worked. Yeah, again. I think we can all agree when we have now surpassed the 400,000 covert related death Mark Mark roughly one year after the first case, the U. S was reported. I think we turned back a year and say a year from now we'll have formed 1000 covert related deaths. We would say that the policies we've been using, maybe haven't exactly worked out very well. So again, not saying Mass don't help management. But we've got to acknowledge when you when you've pursued a certain course and gotten these kinds of results. You want to also be looking at what else you can be doing during the many months it will take to get a sufficient number of people immunized. Also, we know for a fact that they're not even they have not even begun to measure the casualties and, yes, even deaths. That will result from this lockdown from the shutdown. There there, there's great harm caused by all of the lockdowns as well. In fact, Doug Badger hasn't the World Health Organization of all groups come out several months ago and said, Please stop relying on lockdowns as the way to stop this virus because ultimately it's not going to be in that benefit. Yeah, I think I think with respect to lock down, everybody gets that, Uh, they're fine in a on an episodic basis, right? If you have a situation in the city where your hospitals air getting overrun and so forth. You may have to push the panic button and put in place a lockdown for a period of time. But the idea of just instituting widespread lockdowns giving him place for indefinite periods of time, you know, just really hasn't worked out terribly well, certainly hasn't gotten the results that we had hoped. So let's turn to some solutions released some suggestions that maybe we could give it I certainly is gonna make matters worse. I don't think Doug Badger. First of all, Can we agree on this? That the solution Um, to get this country through this pandemic isn't necessarily a federal mandate of any sort coming out of Washington, D. C. Do you agree with the federalism model here that each state needs to do what's best for the conditions on the ground in their state? Yeah. I definitely think that what happens here and you see it was with emergency response is generally when you have AH, hurricane, for example, people on the ground, the local and state leaders Have to be the ones that are in control of that local strategy. Now the federal government supports that they bring in supplies They bring in personnel and so on and so forth. But, you know, generally speaking, you're looking to the governor's. You're looking to the local leaders. To help coordinate the response on the ground, and I think we're dealing with a similar similar situation here with the pandemic. There certainly is a role for the federal government, and it should be. It should be playing that role. But the leadership on the ground really has to come from proud of the state and local officials. So what would you say if a governor picked up the phone and said Doug Badger, You've been around the block? I've heard I've read what you wrote a daily signal. Smart guy. What should we prioritize right now in our state so that we can get past this thing? Well, first of all, I think it's way have to make sure we're doing a better job of nursing home, so some of the states are doing a better job and others. In getting residents and staff vaccinated, But the standards that we've had in place so far have been well, you test the staff once a week, you screen visitors with a temporal thermometer. Well, look, you nursing home residents are on lockdown. By definition. The only way that disease gets in there is from outsiders and You need to do a better job of testing staff on the damn Li basis, not on a weekly basis in order to protect them better now is the immunizations roll out, hopefully will be in a better place in a month or so with with with immunizations. But really, the second thing is something a governor can't do anything about. Um, and that is that the Food and Drug Administration is not approved short term home tests. That would enable people to find out their covert status without having to go to have a laboratory tests and find out whether they had a two or four days before they could find out now and take appropriate action. That's the biggest thing that stands in the way and that's where the federal government I think could play. The greatest role is in removing regulatory battle of barriers to self testing. That would be a great thing as well. And then we can start getting our economy opened up, which is that should be a top priority for all of us. Certainly should have been and and certainly should be going forward, especially with regard to getting our schools in our small businesses open Doug Badger, We gotta leave it there. Thank you for joining us with your expertise today. Thank you. It's for 45. Now.

"So instead of testing two million people a day people are testing themselves at a at a much higher rate. Secondly, the results are instant. You don't find out that you weren't infected for days ago. You find out whether your infectious now And certainly you can test yourself a couple of times a week. So even if you've got a false for his old on one test, the chances of getting a false result on two in that short period of time are very love. These would be a terrific tool to inform and equip people. I know before I get together with family members, whether I might be infected, I might want to get a test of more accurate tests confirm the diagnosis. But but we can be informed and empowered to take steps to protect others. Yeah, I agree, And I think these are to be more readily available. It's not like we don't have them correct away. What's holding it up? Is that the medical profession that says And not quite as accurate. So we're really not pushing these right now. Or is that the cost or the manufacturing slow process? Why aren't these more readily available? And why are we into this area of helping to bring these numbers down more or more quickly? Well, Unfortunately, our friends of the FDA mean as good as they've been on vaccines, trying to move this through the process they've been reluctant to approve at home test. Now you talk about the Madonna vaccine and the visor vaccine. And he said these tests these vaccines shipping, which is all great. The other piece of news came just two days ago, when the FDA approved the first at home test available without a prescription that you can that doesn't have to go to a laboratory. Bad news is that costs about 30 bucks? It's made by an Australian company, and they think they can ship about two million tests to us over the course of the first six months of 2021, which of course, isn't isn't there, but it is least shows that for the first time the FDA is open to this, and we're hoping that they will move to approve these much more affordable tests. It could be manufactured at the rate of tens of millions of day on can get out into people's homes, schools, businesses and elsewhere so people could know their covert status. You know, as they discussed the stimulus package in Congress right now, and it looks like they're getting close. Is there anything that would affect or improve the possibility of getting these at home tests? No more readily available and move the needle on that. Well, there's an awful lot of money in that bill for for testing JT, and in fact, there's an awful lot of money that Congress appropriated way back in the spring for testing that still hasn't been spent. With what the Trump administration did with operation Warp Speed is to say to Fizer and Madonna and AstraZeneca and some of the other companies. Look, we're going to sign a contract with you now. It says We're going to buy up 100 million of these things if you get FDA approval that enabled them the ramp of manufacturing. So once the FDA approved it, the truck started rolling. They have to wait to produce the vaccine. The the administration should make a similar commitment to some of the manufacturers of these rapid test, saying that the minute you get FDA approval, these things can start to ship and get into people's homes. Schools, businesses, churches and elsewhere. Well, in your estimate, your best guesstimate. What do you think The reality is August far as getting these available to you and I and our neighborhood drugstore. How soon will that be? Or is there gonna be more delay and dragging their feet? By the time they finally approve? It will be a moot point. We won't need to because the vaccines are already out there. Well, it's definitely not. The vaccine definitely won't make it moved. I mean, it's going to take many, many months asleep through the first part of next year before you get a sufficient number of people immunized, so we still got a ways to go with this pandemic, and we still have a lot of cases and lot of deaths that are continuing to mount. Um, you know, we need to know if we're infected. We need to know quickly, and we need to know in a way to protect ourselves. And are we making progress, though, Doug, do you think that will be able to get this? You know, at home Quick test that you're talking about in advocating for it. Walgreens pharmacy, say by first quarter next year second quarter That is certainly feasible and a more hopeful than I was a couple of weeks ago, based on the FDA, finally approving one of these tests, admittedly one that's a little more expensive and can't be produced his widely But they have at least taken that step. And I really hope they follow through. All right. Very good. Well, I appreciate your info this morning. I hope they follow through as well. Doug Badger Heritage Institute on the at home testing for covert If you didn't catch it when it was live here, it on our podcast. Just search for Alabama's Morning news on the I Heart radio. As we get rid wrap up 2020 2021 hopefully will bring his much better circumstances when it comes to Corona virus. The only problem is it looks like Joe Biden's Give me their president, Jerry McLaughlin joins us now. Take a look at the possibility of some pathways for Trump to work this all out as we see these lawsuits continuing being thrown out, Jerry. Good morning. Welcome in. Good to be here. Thank you, Jakey. Absolutely. So I'm with you. I believe there's a stench of a rat so bad in all of the election process. This go around that It's almost overwhelming and so pungent. I need medical care. So when you see these whistleblowers still coming through With more information and things just not adding up. What are your thoughts on the president's options and how we move through this? Well, based on my discussion with hearing officer so David just focus yesterday when he went with 45 election poll watchers and they Band. Every one of them. They won't let him look in Pennsylvania. He's got enough evidence there and other people do is to throw out those 20 electoral votes that lowers the threshold providing for a win from 270 down to 260 because you split the difference on the 20. On the other hand, with his 20 electoral votes that they were given to trump except his alternative slate of electors. Then it would even be better for Trump make a long story. Short January. 6 is D day for 10 legislators to step up the place if those 10 legislators But I got listed at middle American media dot com that Middle America media that calm people still list of them in the most recent video there. People contact them and they step up to the plate. I'll take one objection from one your senator and joint session on January 6 and one objection in the house and it goes mandatory constitutionally. Ordain, uh, subject sessions, and then each elects for not each statement intellect or gets two hours on each side of four hours. Right, Right. 400 some electors that literally will push the past January 20th that they do that. That means that either be an interim president Pelosi or interim president. Pence. For a few days more and so they work it out. And then when the smoke arises, I believe it will be President Trump. Well, you know our own congressman, Mo Brooks is pushing for a move that would do that, And he needs a senator to jump on board. I talked with Senator elect Tommy to burble from Alabama's well the other day, and he told me Yeah, he's going to sit down with Mo Brooks. And support anything you can do to make this happen to get this back into the hands of Congress to make the final decision as you mentioned and not the Supreme Court ready, it is Mohenjo Mo. From your backyard and then Joe from Wisconsin that will raise the first objection. Probably, and then he literally have a constitutional crisis and from that will emerge either. By the way doesn't happen. Nancy Pelosi because On the third. They're gonna vote from the speaker of the house and then in the sixth there, get inside. If they're gonna put that well, shortly after that, if they're going to be put in the alternate the president, it's a caretaker president. So it could be a dark horse could be somebody that doesn't like you might not like Nancy Pelosi That might take some long, sad person being the speaker of the house. We'll see..
