Memorial Tournament Recap - Weather Delay Replays

"You have any a hamster? Damn take! Take only covers takes I. Had I'll keep it very brief I actually thought CBS did a really good job with rahm coming down the stretch? I do want to say I think this might be unpopular opinion. I think dottie pepper better I think. She's finding a straddling more I think she's not trying to do the the standup comedy routine anymore I think it's just being very. She's. She's given a lot more. Specifics on just like. Here's the golf shot and here's how it's going to play and. I find her very like very helpful in in a lot more instances. What I did not find helpful was when they go to weather delay. and. It's I at at the time that this happened. I was just looking at photos of people forget Roger. Maltbie was the inaugural champion at the memorial tournament, so I'm just getting wistful look, and all these old cool pictures of Roger Maltbie and the cat is tournaments been around for so long. It's got so many cool winters. All, right, we're in weather delay. We're GONNA. Throw it to a replay and in my head I'm like Oh, the cats, one here one hundred sixty five times like maybe we watch who has shootout with furic one year I think right, or maybe if you're one one year. One your own out from the bunker right on eighteen or something like that Paul as and your hotel from the bunker one year, but continued anyway listen. There's a lot of cool share point. Yeah, show will remember it a lot of cool stuff. Who'd they put up. machoocher versus Kevin Chappell in two thousand, thirteen and Kyle Stan Kyle Stanley to a much lesser extent he was. He was further back to back when they cut off off the cuff. Well, he finished. He finished further back, but. I don't WanNa Watch that. Get that Shit. Get that away for me like I know. This is the opposite of what I want to watch and that speaks. I'm massively projecting I'm sorry I'm going over my hamster. Damn time here massively projecting this, but that speaks so much to me on like. Will Watch it. Yeah, like this is what you know. Couture is a good guy. Let's let's let's those two cooter solid like these these people will watch it, and no is just like all right. Let's sit around and think like what are these people wanna see right now and I would think nine out of ten households would be like. Do just show me the cats greatest hits man. Yeah, that's all I want. See just show me. Me something cool like here's truly among the most vanilla tournaments we could possibly think from the last seven years here you go enjoy, and that was immediately like all right. I'm going to turn off the TV, and like they got lucky with all turn on my alerts, and like maybe I'll come back when the coverage comes back, but like I'm not absolutely not doing this. They got lucky with the delays today. They got one delay the. Growth Thunderstorms could have hit.

"The warriors last night blue thirty one point lead. So they lost the clippers. Biolo- counts. It was an exciting finish. I checked out after the half. I felt okay. This is good. I'm going to bet Clinton too. Yeah. Thirty five one thirty one first round series one game game apiece. Twenty nine point rally by this is so the comeback topped a twenty nine point rally by the Los Angeles Lakers in the nineteen Eighty-nine west. It's Western Conference, fighter vitals, over Seattle. So this is this is now the best comeback ever at a playoff there, saying unbelievable. You know when you look at the at the the score breakdown through quarters. It was like the warriors for the first two quarters. They were the ones that were slamming it, and then they have time, and I have no idea what happened, but then it flicked. And now, we have you know, the clippers are making the forty points a quarter. A lot of a lot of turnovers and a lot of turnovers in game one twenty one they had twenty two on Monday nine by Durant. Well, they're gonna have to regroup. Obviously, meantime, I love this the media headed in for Tiger Woods for for so long. They kept saying he was over. It was done. He should retire cetera et cetera et cetera. Of course, then it comes out that, you know, tiger is a friend of Donald Trump and even supporter Donald Trump. And so now all the more reason to see go by I think Steph curry, I know Steph curry really likes was excited for tiger. But there are people that are ripping curry for saying anything nice about tiger. Because Tigers afraid that Trump which is so weird people settle down. There. It is. I'm reading a story here. In Breitbart this morning, the many times the media claimed Tiger Woods was finished. So. We'll get to that. Just my what was that? There was something. I was teasing in the last segment. What was it? I wanna pay off. What what did I leave you with prior to the news? But I wanted to hear about it. Oh, I did too. What are we talking about talking about beards? Oh, yes beards. Okay. We'll get to beards. Because even Steph curry got a beard. Everybody's got a beer. We'll talk about how filthy the beards are just a moment. But my point is Tiger Woods wins his fifth green jacket masters over the weekend. But look at all the naysayers now again, you know, he had the personal problems marriage troubles divorce issues substance issues brushes with the law, multiple back surgeries, knee surgery, everything. So I'm looking at all of these people. Here's Fox Sports Jason Whitlock. I think he's done as an elite golfer. I really don't expect him. He may win some nondescript tournament, but I'll never you'll never see him win a major championship because that's what he said just a couple months ago. Then you've got on ESPN Tony Kornheiser saying we will not see him again. He'll disappear from Gulf that was in two thousand fifteen. Then there Stephen a Smith. This is twenty fifteen when I saw the eighth hole. He would lose his club altogether. Literally lose the iron because flying behind him in the opposite direction the ball. He's looking at his club. He doesn't retrieve it as if it's a foreign object. I just looked at him. I turned off the TV. I couldn't watch anymore. I feel like tiger. Which you at what retire Smith says needs to go away. Stephen a Smith walk. These statements back. You think I'm actually I just put a video up at our blog as well. Steph curry does this thing that he calls the Tiger Woods turn around where he puts a ball on the ground, and he acts like he's hitting it with the putter in Tiger Woods style. Then he grabs the ball. And he turns around and shoots at you make three from the sideline. And it's it's really it's it's an honor the tiger. It's an honor the tiger Dottie Pepper over the SPN also jumped on the retirement bandwagon said his health would never allow him to regain his form. It's all over. Then you've got DEA kurtenbach over Fox Sports another space at a death watch for Tiger Woods. He's he's said that woods recurring back problems for told the end of his career. He suggested it was time to retire. That was in two thousand seventeen I'm looking at t Andrews telling his audience golf digest. Tiger Woods is totally completely unequipped. Utterly done. They're all wrong all proven rocked showing that this guy is the tiger. I mean, that's why he's got the nickname. I mean, this guy lives up to it. What he's come back from especially at this age is just in credible. And how could you how could you not wish the guy well for crying out loud? Who is friends with unless you have a bad soul. I mean, this guy he's gone through literally all of it. And here he is again the champion. Now, we go back to the beards we go back to the beers. Hey. Ammann's beard. That's where we left you with the last last segment with me saying who let the beards out. Because they say there's more 'Bacterial in human whiskers than a dog for literally they literally compared both okay or some dog fur. Here's the beard. So this study actually intended to to look into whether humans could contract dog borne diseases. Apparently suffering. You're looking guys with beards they got dogs. Okay. Let's see. Can you get a dog borne disease like what kennel cough or Frank getting all these guys with with what they found was they found that bearded men had high microbial counts that were similar to what you find a dog for. It's not the kind of stuff you would normally find in human hair. It fact when they look at those when they look at those microbes dogs are considered clean compared to bearded men. Oh, boy, either dogs that roll around in whatever, right? So I think the the end of the story has guys if you got the beard, hey, wash it like, you would your the hair on top of your head assuming you're doing that. Yeah. We need some beard shampoo. Anybody yet? I think he really got a beard, otherwise you're going to be a dog. What's your dog? Geez. Wash your beard or just shave it off, you're not indifferent on nineteen minutes before the call. Katie's got a traffic coming right up..

"Great get us caught up on this thing. We were watching a bit of a master's so CBS KK to during the news, Melinda. Also as well. Giving you an update. Go ahead. Yes. Tiger on ten. Hit a rotten drive head himself, dead blocks. We had to punch out. So he's now knocked one just off the back edge at number ten Molinari financial our way off the green. So, but they're probably get up and down and tiger is going to have a tough putt. So he may lose those troch to Molinari and that would knock them to to back. Why do you think so many of these professional athletes we kind of looting to the fact that the penguins? I'm sure all our good golfers. But they don't want to really start playing regularly until June sometime after they win the Cup. But pirates, you know, baseball players. Tony romo's like incredibly. Yeah. Why why is that just hand? I think no, it's fun. It's just so much fun to play the game. And when you have a chance like these guys do to play those those elite places that are so beautiful and so much fun to play. That's that's what really entices these gentlemen, and they are, you know, they're tremendous as you say hand eye coordination that they have it. It's really fun for those guys to be able to participate in this in it like you said earlier, it's one of those ones where it you. You can feel every once in a while you hit a shot. Just like these guys do. Everyone wants three was talking about. He loves the whole number six at a gust because he came within four inches of a hole in one there. You know, Mike thereto probably wouldn't wouldn't be able to compete for more than one hold at a time against these guys. But for that one shot that one moment in time that shining event he was four inches from a hole in one tell you another thing. Thank goodness Arnold. Did in speaking Mike Tariq, oh now with NBC which happens on the golf channel? Is that not a golfers dream just to watch that say you wake up on a Tuesday, and you're off from work and you have nowhere to go. And it's the middle of summer. You turn on the golf channel, drink your coffee your leg. Head into a golf course. Wouldn't it? Be Dottie Pepper is is analyzing the the whole number twelve varies issues. Really good. And one of the things that she talked about during the coverage yesterday, she she actually went out onto the green and took putz from a number of different angles mentioning I'm probably a couple of dozen diff. Putts. So that during the broadcast, she could tell people what to expect as where it was going to break. I was gonna break. What is going to do usually? Right. She all man. She was really good very spot on in her analysts of the event yesterday. This is the difference in the again, the great thing about golf, whether it's somebody who belongs to that local golf league where they belong to a country club. Everybody has the same thing in mind. Just watching these people play because they love the game of golf, and it's fun as you mentioned. So that's why I love because it brings people from all walks of life together super super super stuff. But I don't think people realize caddies important. They are how good these golfers. When they can you know, I've seen Phil Mickelson maybe the king of the backspin could planet just about two inches from the pin pin high. If he said he was going to do it more times than not he did it. I saw him one time with his back to the pen in a bunker hit the ball that went up over his head and on the green. I mean, you see when they skip it over the lake what they do at the masters. I mean, these people these men and women have a God given ability, but there is actually a method to golfing reading the green. Knowing the distance everything what club do use all of that really is strategy. And it's something that you get and gain with experience, and you talk about rob the the casual golfer of the guy that plays in the Gulf Lea he's not out there playing with a caddy. But if you've ever have an opportunity ever had a caddy I have at Oakmont. That's right. Yeah. And when you get a chance to play golf with a guy who knows what he's doing. And if you don't listen to them, you're a moron. And when I when I did it. Ball's gonna go, and I would miss putts by forever. And now when I'm fortunate enough with my buddies at Hefferin Tillotson to invite me out there. No manage I'm and takes me every year. Hopefully, Jay, you're listening hopefully up again this year. You get a chance in those caddies. There are just absolutely fantastic. And all you gotta do is get to the green. And wait 'til they tell you where you wanna hit your and it goes right where you are in once. They learn to club you. They also are tremendous telling you what you need to hit. And where you need to hit Greg Tillerson. Of course, Kim is sister all of those folks they love golf over different Tillerson. I've learned more talking to them about golf them probably watching some of these analysts. I it's it's just a tremendous day. It's a great sport and tiger wearing the red and black. And you know, I forgot my red and black headphones that they're sitting over there. Good. Hopefully that will be the color combination any needs to get a win. But when he steps up to the t- the last day wearing that red and black business, you do absolutely pan was tired voice. Wouldn't it be great to be tiger? Because you know, when you're playing yet to pick out your clothes. You're just grabbing a red shirt, black pants and lex us. You're going to play. Let me ask you this between tiger and just say. Rickie Fowler big difference in how they travel what they do in new. They are now we know the people like that Corey Connors who won last week at the Valero, Texas Open. He's they're just looking for the free cold cuts. You know what I'm saying? And I get that. But how does a tiger? Do you think travel nutritionist therapist? All that stuff. Come with them. We'll certainly with with his back situation and the injuries that he's had. I'm sure he has a chiropractor with them visible therapist with them probably neurosurgeon with with the spine. If that he's had but tiger himself and the good guys the good golfers. The guys are the elite they all travel by private yet. So that they get there when they need to get there. Sometimes the cat he's taking the clubs with them and going in, you know, kind of meeting them there. They don't get to travel in the same luxury that the players do. But the guys who are the elite there either for weather tiger. I think was living on on his yacht. Going up and down the coast when they would be. Florida. He would stay would stay there. But, you know, well, you know, chiropractic medicine has become a big part of the Allegheny health network for years, you know, worked with the PGA. And I remembered FOX chapel they had trailer after trailer after trailer with chiropractors who were you know, utilizing that service that they're blessed to have with these profession that was the senior tour few years ago. So I mean playing around a golf competitive round of golf day after day week after week, no matter what kind of shape you're in. Or how young you are or old? It can take a toll on well, especially at Augusta. Would you don't appreciate when you're watching the golf tournament on television is the severity of the hills that these guys are walking in especially if you watch these guys when they're coming up the eighteenth fairway, that's a real very steep climb that they have to go out. And when they when they're taking their shot from their second shot on eighteen they can't see the green. So they're aiming at a flagstick, but can't necessarily see the green. And then. They've got a March up that and you're going to you're going to be out of breath when you get up to the top of their you need to kinda compose yourself to then make a very critical one of the things they did they changed the eighteenth green this year. Rob there used to be kind of like a large ridge. So it was two plateaus, and it was a real steep area in the middle there. And they've kinda shaved that down a little bit and recon toward that green. And I to me it's not a change for the better. I like that real steep slope that they had there where you could throw the ball up against that. And then bring it back down to the traditional pin placement. Which is in the front half of the eighteenth green. Listen as I'm sitting here trying to look at this television. That's a few feet from me, and it's not a larger screen. I have a very difficult time seeing with the scores. Are that's got to be really tough for Tiger Woods or someone who was so dominant. So good it really any golfer who go they fill because when you get to be in your forties. You know, your eyesight changes a little bit. That is got to be another. And then, you know, you think of surgery, and what that's done for a lot of these golfers. But when you're eyesight starts to affect you and your professional golfer that can really cause you some serious issues. It does especially because one of the most important things you have is your perception. And if that gets thrown off by by changes with your eyesight, not only judging what you're gonna hit from teas. But reading putz if you can't see as well as you once did you're not going to be able to see those little subtle undulations that you have to put the ball. I don't want to say is your bad. But how many times did it? My guess is that it take before you finally told me what the color of your shirt was? All right. Well, we are gonna come back talk about pirates. Gimme of get to your phone their row quick if you could sir and give us an update. And then we're gonna take a break and also Melinda will be back at forty to pass the out with another masters leaderboard update. So right now, we got tiger must've bogey ten so he's too back. Molinari thirteen hundred tiger eleven under Brooks KEPCO who's been really just stuck at eleven under. So Tigers to back KEPCO to back Fennell three back as Andrew Shaw, flew three back. All right. Would hold any bogey. Ten. Okay. So he's on the eleven t right now. And there he goes he's just teed off on them five that's a boat or a birdie hole should be a very hole for him. All right. "I'm Michael Yaffe, very special guests. This day is Ken Rainer PGA golf professional here in Florida and up in the state of Maine. He's got a brand new book from sky horse publishing. I called him Mr President stories of golf fishing in life with his friend, George H W Bush and Ken when we went into that break, you were talking about your relationship, and and Mr Bush's relationship with a gentleman who was on this program several times in that. Of course is Arnold. Palmer who also spent a great deal of time in Florida. And I wanted to go ahead and finish up on those stories. What an amazing individual Mr. Palmer was and and. Your honor that I was able to have played with it and share it with my father in law who was actually a great golfer it Arnie's career fifties sixties and seventies and came to Cape run dole. And said it reminded him a lot of the club. And actually was really kinda fun. We have an old Mazzy first purchasing tractor. And our superintendent parts behind the maintenance shed, Bernardi went by with a Pennzoil quarter oil on on the verge of the thing about and there's a fun story. I'm not hitting the ball really well and making parts, but don't happen struck it very solid finally comes up to me on the fifth Tali as we're walking off after our T shots and puts his arm around me is, you know, you're swinging just fine. You just swinging little quick. And that's just as President Bush watched by us, and I looked at Arnie's army. You know, I'm a little nervous. I'm playing here with Arnold. Palmer. Got the big ticket out look at the United States walking by says as I said that and I'll be had never paid before. But I'd play with President Bush or the president one hundred times before so in in around the golf is just last lots of laughs and fun because of the nature of of the two exclusive gentleman. I was lucky enough to play with. I wanted to ask you to about a gentleman who had a home here in Saint Augustine for a long time. Oh every other year or so he would come to Florida and do a tour around the state and a couple of years, I was privileged to be the MC and and time with him in the green room before shows and whatnot a gentleman from Africa who was known all over the world, one of the great whistling are hist ever. And that is Roger Whittaker. And I think you have unique story about the bushes and Roger Whittaker. Well, it's fun. Roger Whittaker great singer at the tar. And when president was when he was president. They had a Roger Whitaker fan club with us, nurses that traveled with him. And that he would stop in Boston. Not needing a doctor cutter a band-aid created a wad Roger Whittaker fan club. But none of them endeavor net Roger Whitaker, and they loved his music, and they'd played it when they traveled, and of course, they spent lots of time together, traveling the globe. And when when Mr Bush became former president he bought you hadn't seen as nurses, which he looked at his daughter's which is very common for him to be that engaged with people. He thought he didn't like the, nurses and the husbands and their children up the locker point to enjoy weekend in Maine to surprise them being invited. Roger Whittaker to come to the house. Nobody has ever met him. But of course, buzzer Bush was the president of the Roger Whittaker fan club. And the next thing they know Roger that occurs. There we played with them for the weekend. And then we got just an amazing evening with dinner and sitting around the living room with all his nurses. Roger Whittaker singing songs where the nurses are giving the president all kinds of old stories of their. Travels, and you know, really historic is historically tales that that the president and the nurses shared his presidency. Insults. Roger was I think he had a great weekend as we all did. So. Really fun to see Roger and Kenny bunk. I'm beginning to draw a feeling here of a humanness a personality kind of a relaxed. Europe. Who is some of the other celebrities that you were privileged to get around with Mr Bush. That stick out your mind. It's pretty amazing when the president would invite people held the all these celebrities that we know are banned or at the busy schedule themselves, and how often they made time to make sure they got the walkers point some more sort of the boat rides lunch. Almost for the weekend. Gymnasts is a great a great friend and always come up a couple of times a year for a couple of days to do all the above and along along with Greg Norman Nicholson, David Toms, Davis leg, all thirty topples Jose Maria. Ben crenshaw. Guys came Dottie Pepper. All these people would come and just play some golf that just really there to enjoy the president's company more than anything else. We had labor Ubon Lendl Kevin Costner from that dick shields. Teri hatcher. All these the music world. We had let's see Michael W Smith all the Gatlinburg, others, Adra ludicrous. Oh. All these people that just engaged, you know, what a wonderful profession. The president is a welcome. They always Walker's points. What a wonderful town Kennebunkport is. And and that continues today even at ninety three. We had the president of tired to come into their dinner, which we've done many many times. And you still got that. Sparkling design is what the people. So the title of your book is I call him. Mr President talk about why you decided to make that your title. Well, the title was started the hardest part of the book. Details were the easy parts. And you know, one thing we talked about naming it was keeping pace with 'cause he's just a bundle of energy, go go go all day long was it'd be hard at the office or around the, you know, round of golf went out fishing speedboat ride once somewhere. So we decided we call Mr President because we all do and not only I but everybody else around them. We respect the presidency of the United States for anybody who holds the office of the presidency kinds of allows people to take notice there's something about a president Piques their interest. So we really were trying to do all of the above and the title. But then we wanted to bring it down to the human story about human goodness that all the staff all the secret service and all the superstars and all the people got to shake President Bush's hand. Have a smile on face because of it. So that's really what the book is all about. Can I guess you've you sort of answered my final question there. And we do hope that folks will pick this book up and give it a good read. That's the overall feeling I take it that you hope people will bring away about George H W Bush once they read this book. Well, he certainly live life to the fullest. And you've probably one of the greatest Americans if you look at his resume and all the things that he's done outside the office. Also, it is ninety three years, but the neatest thing for all of us is he shared so much of that himself with all of us. And I have so many dear friends now that are lifelong friends of mine in other people feel the same way because of the introductions that we've gotten through President Bush, all these wonderful people that I've met we stay in touch with today. And because the relationship has been so meaning to us, so hopefully, we pass it on to other people make the world a little better, and we all become President Bush would say a point of light. Indeed. You do Ken Rainer. The book is I called him, Mr President from sky horse publishing available at all the fine bookstores around Florida and places like Amazon dot com, and we recommend that you pick this up. It's a very personalized story about her. I president five stars from here and Ken we'd like to invite you to come back and do this again sometime soon. That'd be great that people are in the Boca GRANDE area. Stopping core creek love to sign the book forum and say Hello. And maybe they can tell me one of their stores. That'd be wonderful. This is the Florida roundtable, I'm Reagan's man. I'm Michael yappy. And if you'll stay put Michael, and I will be back with a brief closing plot. Following these messages?.

"When it to be honest and trying to play hard go out there like the most. So. Yeah. So they're bringing them along. Slowly, you brought up a very good point that he had hand surgery the summer. Yeah. So they didn't get the benefit a lot of summer league game. Right. So as his fellow rookies took part of the summer league in about eight games. I think he missed because of his hand surgery. So he's a little bit behind but kept up in the Atlanta Hawks, they're rebuilding. So he should get a fair amount of playing time this year. I'm sure he'll do great. We were surprised to find out that Dottie Pepper legendary area golfer was not already in the New York state Golf Association hall of fame. I know so yes, he's being inducted. We're like, well, why is she not already in there is this misprint? Yeah. So they're inducting her on November second, and we're like she's not in there who's in there ahead of her. But she is going to be inducted. And so it's at Brookhaven golf course Puerto corners in on November second, and you can go online to get tickets, but certainly deserving honor one other thing flacco and testaverde's this is crazy. Yeah. So the quarterback for you. Albany is Vincent Tessa Verney not to be confused with his father, Vinny Testaverde. He's been playing there for the last couple of years and Joe flacco 's younger brother, Tom plays for Townsend and the two teams will face off this weekend at the university at Albany. So they're thing is not flacco versus Tessa, Verdy, whatever that's how that's what it's gonna look like. So they're both the quarterbacks varying themes NFL pedigree. That's pretty cool town this weekend. So I guess Tom Lycos doing pretty well thousands five and one and it'll be cool. And I guess the testaverde's come to many of the Albany games. You know next to us on this last game last weekend last weekend home game, and they're not like, they don't expect special treatment. They don't sit in the bottom discerning dang athletic director that his mother and grandmother were seated next to us, but they don't really blend in with everyone else. I mean this. Very nice. And stuff on very nicely at big rock on our hand. I'm like this lady. And then I didn't realize who she was until she started going. So that Saturday three thirty you Albany, tousands shocking. Kelly eight forty. Three one.

Effect from eleven AM until eight tonight temperatures are expected to be in the nineties with the heat, index possibly break The one hundred degree Mark w. g. y., morning news time is, five thirty five our, next update at six I'm, Richard now Chuck and Kelly on NewsRadio one zero three one WG y. The capital region's breaking news traffic and weather station good morning how are you Hello Rachel I have to agree with. You and it kills me. Do so it is it chilly in here this I thought. You'd be thrilled I like. Actually I do like it that cold but it even for my standards very cold this morning a great contrast to what you. Were just. Talking about read Hubs. Of you you. Could, go, outside there I'm sure it'll be a little bit warmer out there already seventy five last week we we had a clip from Jimmy. Fallon talking, about, how Aretha Franklin I have it, like ice cold right when when. She was on his, show came out in like it was warm he likes, freezing Warns rice became she'll come out a fur coat and it was already ninety five degrees in there and normally he keeps a studio. Where you can see your. Breath and it's kind of like us. Near he prefers, it where you have icicles you know and then I prefer it where it's a little. Bit warmer it always amazes. Me that in two thousand eighteen th this has been almost, every building I've worked in my wife's building at work HVAC they're conditioned it just doesn't always seems it's very tough to get it right even with technology it seems like I absolutely agree with every building I've. Ever worked in Yeah I mean there is some element Comfort zones vary greatly that's true but I also think that it's either. It's, either frozen or it's a sauna yeah I once worked with, a guy as a matter of fact who. Was, doing his. Show in his coat no he's no he was. Doing. His show, with his shirt off I was. Doing, the news. With Mike hold on that's not how it is My hands are freezing Kelly actually has an elected she will use an electric blanket. Perhaps on a day when it's going to be ninety four outside the. So-called, so the heat will kick on. It a bit anyway sooner or later. Hey let's start on a positive note our. Friend Dottie Pepper was honored yesterday she is Dottie. Pepper from Saratoga. Springs induction the New York state golf association's hall of. Fame we've met her she does not only offer a great announcer really broke a. Lot of barriers becoming the first woman to. Be a commentator on. The, masters she does an awful lot for the. Community we. Know, that firsthand yeah. And she's written a children's book and gas super nice. Yeah it's. Very annoying she's an overture She's the greatest that what. She does is very annoying to underachievers like myself. She won the. State girls championship in eighty one and eighty three she. Was the LPGA player of the year back in ninety two you forget how great. She was so congratulations to her going into. The the state steak. Off, association's hall of fame you know I was. A little. Bit, surprised to see. This this morning I'm not sure if it, was, executive, times union, but the Tri, city valley cats they don't have an agreement with with the Astros yet and it's kinda late Raillard season. Is wrapping up kind of late I thought it was interesting the, chief operating officer of the valley catch ripped Murphy by the way of pittsfield native athlete basketball with his brother Joe he says? They'll probably have an announcement next week which I feel like okay just, you know matter of fact but he says it. Could be descended new? Player, or a. Contract with the. Astros or the third possibility what surprising me maybe seeking a contract with a. Different MLB team which would be I just didn't see, that possibility, even coming up going to happen most people in this area care what affiliation. The team as as long as there's good quality minor league baseball. Here I would say unless it was with the Yankees Red Sox. Or Mets no they would they. Wouldn't care it's it's as long as it's affiliated with some sort of major league. Team I, don't think I don't think the Astros holder particularly you know Warm spot necessarily right people here. So yeah so well hopefully hopefully they'll just reopened the, Astros but You know you definitely want to. Major league affiliation, let's see they. Are second in the league in attendance over four thousand. A game just, pretty good great, job here they really do anything is with with. The valley cats it's it's yes it's baseball primarily but there are so many, other things happening there they really. Do, a, nice job, of drawing families in and keeping them, interested You do Luck you show up even if your kid. Likes baseball if you have a seven and ten year old stuff to get him to be occupied for two two and a. Half hours so it's. Great stadium so I don't think they'll have. Any trouble, I, mean I I assume they'll be up with, the Astros but. We'll see it's just a funny. To me that's still an open question a little something. For Rachel Die hard giants fan Odell Beckham junior See talented often receiver has, cashed. In, huge huge third he just contract in the NFL largest receiver and they actually do you think people don't. Like, money here here's here's the reaction in the giants locker room yesterday when word of the contract came out Hey Lisa us There's a. Couple of, things. They're, like, Yay, finally, we're we're Right and also like hey, there's a prospect down the. Road if, I. Keep, my, sights Hey I can negotiate like that to what did they say? Rising, tide lifts, all. Boats the more, you, make the maybe the morale make. Your right yeah that's good If he stays healthy it's worth it but that's the big question. He's guaranteed sixty five million dollars oh my God third highest in. The, NFL behind Matt Ryan. A quarterback for the, falcons and Kurt, cousins of quarterback for. The. Vikings, he will also. Average roughly. Twenty million over the first three years wow that's pretty good money even in New York, New jersey, now he's, got, to deliver yeah well there you go exactly right the the looks like we have, closure at least legally speaking in the the late Jake the? Lake, George tragedy That took Charlotte. Accused life a couple, years back fine, we thought this once. Before. There, was a final. Chapter exactly. Right now this is the final chapter where the there's one person was sentenced Armernian front, of me, Morlin keys It's a it's a woman she, was the fourth and final defendant. Who was charged us on, the boat that ran over the, McHugh. Boat and she was in court yesterday now the other. Three in the, boat got jail time the other three and the driver but she was the last one she she Was she, pleaded guilty to. What finally a false statement or making false statements said basically I you know they hit us and they just drove away no big deal whenever. We knew there were screams that can be heard a mile away so she said her. Statement actress that they hit us. And, left Hit. Them and drove off exactly yeah. And her the mother the grandmother. Of of, Charlotte McHugh Christine just blasted keys before sentencing yesterday for refusing to cooperate and she, says, she, used if, a charge could be brought for unimaginable lack. Of humanity they'd. All be serving life sentence she said so but that's over she didn't. Get what she gets you didn't get any jail time she got I know she, got probation oh she she got probation two years probation. And one hundred hours of community service so one other quick thing we we. Mentioned yesterday we kind of found out a little bit, more about that, that, that Canadian firefighter who disappeared from Whiteface at the end of. The day and ended up in in California six days later. Confused it looks like he fell in the parking lot hit his head and. Had a concussion least that. Much we know there's a case going to trial in. October Kelly, about this guy Isaac hide north creek. Man who was arrested for allegedly lying to. Police oh being stuck on the gore mountain. Ski center ski lift overnight he's refused a plea deal to going to trial in October this is another one where. It's, just. A weird story and, I don't understand I don't, understand, the motivation I mean he says he was stuck there all. Night they say their procedures are to check the list there's no way he was stuck, there overnight I just his auto. Racing if he's, lying I don't. Know if this motivation try to. Sue sue the mountain and get. Some money I don't know what the motivation other than that That he claims that he was stuck there overnight and they're saying that some of those. Some of what he said doesn't quite add up.
