Just Do It! Dont Procrastinate, Start Your Side Hustle This Year

"Last year i came on here and i told you guys about my youtube channel. I'm going to start. But i still have not recorded in uploaded a video for said channel. Okay that is my confession for y'all today. But i know what i'm dealing with. I'm ready to push through it. So kind of letting you inside my head as i go through this process bringing you along and hoping helps you to. I figured that. I cannot be the only one in this boat. I can't be the only one who has made big plans and has not acted on them or who has started. But it's really kinda playing around because you're letting your nerves get to you. So i thought what better ways chronicle meet pushy out of this mental block pushing out of this phase and this head space and out of my nerves and bringing a side hustle idea to fruition then to share it with you. All on the podcast. I really really hope it can help you too. Because let's face it. We're just stalling. You might not be. But i know i am when it comes to this i know when i am stalling and stalling for me happens for one main reason. I'm trying to be perfect plain and simple. I'm trying to be perfect. And i'm over thinking actions that i need to take the thing about over thinking it is it can create a spiral and this hamster wheel effect that it's very very hard to get out of even when you know it's counterproductive and not necessary so with my youtube channel for example. I find myself in that overthinking loop. Even though i knew. I wanted to keep it simple. I found myself ordering new lighting equipment. Redecorated my bedroom since i plan to do some filming in their heck even ordering new towels for the bathroom since i plan to do some filming in there. You know i'm going to do a hair channels. So i'll be doing some hair tutorials and i found myself focusing on all the wrong things and then i just have to keep having this talk with myself talking through it recognizing that this is part of my process to stalling is part of my process. The starts and stops is start is part of my process so i'm not beating myself up for this. I'm recognizing what's going on. And i said to myself curl you know what this is right. These are stall tactics things you do because you're nervous to actually start but you have nothing to be nervous about so i'm going to put an anti stall in today and i invite you to join me

Chris Pine to Star in ‘Dungeons and Dragons’ Movie for Paramount

"We have a movie based on the infamous and famous role playing game Dungeons and Dragons That's in the works for some time in 2022. And Paramount hopes to release the movie during that year and reportedly is in talks with Chris Pine to star. Oh, nerve ease delight right there. There's already been a movie a Dungeons and Dragons movie before, but it was, gosh, it's been like 15 years now, I think, and it wasn't great. It's had a resurgence in recent years, thanks to Celebrity gamers that play it. And there's an online syriza called Critical role. And Hasbro is also a dont live action TV Serious and development Just so funny to me. I mean, I played dnd a lot and the fact that it's going to be something that's mainstream, Probably and not dorky. Yeah, speak that as a fellow nerd. Yes, Alexis Dragons have played but To see it. People Fear What They Dont Know

"People being afraid of things that they don't understand. Yeah that's that's a great topic because in industry when you're talking to other land investors you've you certain types of jargon and a lot of times we don't remember that the public doesn't understand that type of jargon so we can use that to our advantage in some situations but it hurts us in more situations than not for instance. I know you're like okay. What do you mean by that. I could see the look on your face. After i was just i was gonna ask her an example exam so like on a on a by side. Yeah we've got to do all the paperwork for that affidavit airship you know. It's going to be really tough to get this through. But you're working with the pros. This is what we are made to do. We can get that taken care of because getting a title were cleaned up and everything. It's tough but you're working with the right team to get this done. Let's signed a purchase agreement. Let me get it done well. It's laugh at airships. Just a page They just gotta know somebody. That's not making money off this and they can sign it. Not a big deal. But they don't know that they think it's as big ordeal to get all this stuff done and we know it is what it is. Yeah yeah i mean. I feel like the more you know about a subject the more you can talk yourself out of a cell okay. I'm a big opponent of less is more like i want them to be the talker. If i'm trying to sell some land. I'll just give them the bare minimum. I don't wanna be if. I catch myself talking too much. I feel like i'm losing it already. Okay and so. That's why like the best ads. i've ever run or just just enough to get them excited. When i'm selling land. I'm i don't know man go check it out like don't ask me. It's the same like when you're trying to get someone to join the education you want someone to sell themselves on a basically right and so i don't know sometimes you see these. Ads like listing ads or whatever they're a mile long. I'm bored halfway through it on. Probably moving on at that point. Yeah no i get that. And so the flip side of that. When i when you say that i think of ads where we put so much information in it and you start using terminology that in like oh shit as an investor. I'm scared because i don't know what it is and i don't want to seem dumb for asking. I'm not gonna ask them. Do you just said and move on. And that's the that's one of those things for me that there's a fine balance in what we can provide. You wanna be knowledgeable topic to talk to it to make sure that they're they're comfortable with it but also in a way that you're dumbing it down to the person's level of comprehension. Yeah if you're talking about things that only a land investor or i don't know anything real real estate professional real estate consultant If you're talking about the things that only those people can relate to than you've missed your target on people's is already glazed over you know and you don't want that you want them to stay excited about it. Let their imagination run wild and in my experience. The only way to let that happen is just give enough information feed. Don't lie to him and don't leave things out but you're leading them in a direction to let their mind wander beautiful forty acre property. It's got. It's got a nice meadow in some trees. There's a perfect place to build your cabin. I do see this a lot to with them when you talk like say for example. While i'm i'll use our education that goes ample right someone. We talked to hear it. They sound great right. We're obviously we're not lying about the stuff we're doing it every day. it will. Then they tell their friends who have never heard of. This are never done this now. The sudden they're friends start talking way down. There's no no way in hell. This works or scam artist. Right that happens with land to buy forty acres out in the middle of nowhere for fifteen thousand dollars. Nah no way it has to be. Nobody's going to tell you that. That's and that's like you hit the nail on header. Go look at it. Tell me what you think. Let me know when you're ready to make an offer. You just did that. I did it on the phone goes. Hey man you got this. This differ seventeen thousand dollars a year. It's up next to some. Bela is gonna hunt on it. Yes you can. It's yours to hunt on. Plus you got the land on all right next to you. Okay cool well. Can i make an offer. Have you looked at the property. It will no. But i was thinking about going but i i want to know if the owner will make an offer while i'm the owner telling you go look at it. Make sure what you want and then shoot me an offer. Let's talk about it. Okay actually made an offer right then. Yeah yeah we'll take that let's go. Let's say money on a deal. I was about to jump in now. He he doesn't have any land there. But i do say size. Do you have something here right now. I've got someone who's defaulted. They'll make the payment. They've i find the my most default for the entire year are october-november really. I don't know people are trying to save for christmas. Save or they spent that money on christmas stuff. But i mean. I've got a maybe a third or late right now. Wow i don't have anything late right now but i did give my people that were a little bit trouble. People i gave them a breakthrough kovic so already know that they were three months behind. I have one guy. He's starting a business having a shift bank account so he asked me if you could send me he. He only had cash for some jobs did and he is like. We're gonna send me cash birthday card. You want to send me a check from somebody else. So he was doing that. And then Going back to of the bank account. I am way

Why frightening facts dont always move people to action on climate change

"Anger anxiety. Overwhelm climate change can evoke intense feelings. It's easy to feel dwarfed in the context of such global systemic issue. So ecologist rene lurs man says that when people experience the feelings they often shut down and push information away so to encourage climate action. She advises not bombarding people with frightening facts when we lead with information. We are actually unwittingly walking right into a situation that is set up to undermine our efforts. She says if you want to engage people on the topic take a compassionate approach. Ask people what they know and want to learn. Then have a conversation this conversational approach may seem at odds with the urgency of the issue. But lerman says it can get results faster when we take a compassion based approach. We are actively disarming defenses so that people are actually more willing and able to respond and engage quicker. And we don't have time right now. You know to mess around. And so i do actually come to this topic with a sense of urgency. We do not have time to not take this approach

Thanks so much for me today. Karen. Thank, you for the vacation I? AM WE HAVE TO BE HERE I am thrilled to have you here We are going to be spending time. really talking about Being open to change and and how you we have to be able to. shift and change and whatnot order to be successful and You know with everything we're going through and and all of the upheaval and. crisis and you know you name it that's been going on over the past. I don't know seven months. I would just I love your insights on how businesses survive. The business cycle during a crisis like the one we're experiencing. So. It's it's it's pendant of the business. So the reality you've had some businesses that have had minimal impact other than the having to transport for move from working in house on Office to tell were you've had some that were only other some that actually have flourished because they worry a needed commodity or service, and then you have others that unfortunately have suffered significantly because of the crisis. So it really depends on the business but. In any case, your business has to be established and set on a foundation that is agile and flexible enough to be able to shift or pitted depending on what the market brain. So of course, we all know about slot analysis. So strength weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and one of the threats that if you're really doing a true swot analysis. Is located at potential external factors that could negatively impact your your company and a lot of them. We don't think about right whoever gets. Years would've thought about Kobe coming in and then having the negative impact of his hand and for the duration of at his dad. worked. Challenges that we're faced with is and I can't say this to your listeners. This too shall pass the question is win. Because we face so many other challenges, but the differences and this particular challenges the other challenges we've had. Twenty two thousand when we had the nine eleven on two thousand and we have the economic meltdown and crisis. The thing was it happened you know we got through the week we got stopped or it happened, and then we were able to work on rebuilding in coming up with a plan to get to the recovery. This is is is that it's happened and here we are a month later it's still happening so. We'll get through. It is just a matter of time. So what we have to do is we have to recognize that for every door and window that closes there's seventeen others that open right. So the needs of our community, the needs of our clients may change based on what's happened. So in some instances, businesses that had a lot of very well thriving company where customers wanted. X., after this, they may not need X. or maybe they don't need X. Right now because the Kobe still going on but then you have to ask you a question, what do they need and if it's not particular customers, maybe it's another set of customers that I never thought about. So what am I have to Kinda scan the environment I have to keep my eyes and ears. To the needs and then figure out from our company's perspective. What can we? What can we feel? What need can we fulfill than is out there now that may not have been there before.

Plans for Chicago's Lake Shore Drive overhaul move forward

"North Lake shore drive is getting rebuilt or make that redefined as part of the years long redefined drive project, the Illinois in Chicago Departments of transportation of and gathering feedback, and coming up with potential ways to overhaul the drive from grand to Hollywood. They've narrowed it down to a few options and they're looking for your input ahead of an upcoming public meeting Chicago tonight's Nick Bloomberg takes a look. Lakeshore drive is iconic but with icon status comes aging infrastructure some up to eighty years old and are in need of replacement, and so can we look at some opportunities to really reinvasion the area and solve problems while we rebuild the road problems not just like crumbling infrastructure, but also safety and mobility for all kinds of users. One of the things we heard definitely was improved access to. North shore drive itself. But really to the park, which is an iconic park based on roadway needs and public input planners came up with some essentials lakefront access every quarter mile grade separation for the Lakefront trail where it crosses east West streets getting rid of the pesky signal at Chicago, avenue, and reinforcing the shoreline which has taken a beating of late all the things that we see as critical to install. Harbinson what alternative? The alternatives look at ways to improve travel for buses. One would add a fifth lane in the center just for transit another option would convert an existing lane for transit leaving three for general purpose planners are also considering creating one or two lanes usable by buses and by drivers willing to pay a toll, how do we improve and how do we further manage the traffic? How do we further improve the reliability of that transit but as always a major project like this one has raised Concerns about the character of the Lakefront Lakeshore drive needs it's improvements, but we don't want to see lakeshore drive reconfigured to a point where it becomes a an interstate highway Miller. Says past renovations like near McCormick place created that wide interstate feel. He's also hesitant about a trenched roadway like what's on the table at Chicago Avenue WanNa keep that boulevard character to the drive friends of the Parks Twenty Years Ari agrees she's concerned expanding the drive could put parts at risk our preference is that Improvements be made to make traffic flow better to improve transit access, but not to create more lanes for cars, and while she appreciates the project I toward shoreline stability, this project released should be set within a much larger more comprehensive consulation about our late for neurosurgeon problem others think improvements for transit don't go far enough Kyle Lucas of the group better streets. CHICAGO SAYS ACTIVISTS HAD TO FIGHT TO KEEP the option that converted a lane for buses only, and he wants planners to think bigger like bus rapid transit shifting transportation closer to the edge of the city, and then creating something that's similar to an L. Line a fraction of the cost. Another idea protected bike lanes in both directions since Lucas says, the Lakefront trail isn't always practical for cyclists and none of that taking away from access for cars but we think the data suggests that. If we were to actually invest in alternative of transportation. We need way less space for cars on the Lakefront we could dramatically reduce the footprint of the road and create more park space for people to enjoy and kate low of UIC worries about focusing too much on congestion since transportation is the biggest contributor to greenhouse gases. In the US, we should instead have reducing vehicle miles traveled be one of the primary motivating factors while she appreciates. That improving transit is one of the goals at the heart of a it's about enabling auto commutes during the peak our peak our downtown commuters are disproportionately affluent. So this project would speed their commute and not address transit as on the South and West sides for their part I dont and CDOT say the project is multimodal focused on the future and effort to balance a lot of different interests. Everyone loves lake shore drive for different reasons. We've tried to. Weave into our designs public comment on the five proposed designs is open through November ninth for Chicago Tonight I'm nick. "Do is increase your low time. This is really important especially, because Google has mobile I indexing go google dream hosts. You can check out their site they not only a really super affordable reliable but they're hosting improves your low time converted most hosts out there which increases your seo ranking. So check them out. Welcome to another episode of Marketing School. I'm Eric Su and I'm Neil Patel and today we are going to be talking about how to write perfect cold emails that don't get ignored it. You just get cold email earlier neil I did someone was trying to tell me how it was something about helping the United States you know I live in the United States for anyone listening. Okay let me open it up and the guys like guy. I'm Dan you know I live in the united. States we need your help and pretty much long story short he tried to get me to link to one of his websites. I didn't respond to Dan. I was like this isn't really hoping the United States. This is more so helping you but I did up because it was just so creative. The other thing that I've found with creative subject lines is I short to the point does well, like sometimes Brian Deane will send emails would just. Be Site audit or Seo template or something like that. Those do well anything that's casual lower case like your friends would send you do well putting people's name in the subject line does well to what have you tested Yeah you. Looking at this email from Nathan Lot guy, he sends me this email and it says five hundred K. Twenty Twenty ytd. So that basically I'm like, okay he's probably talking about a business that maybe things I'm interested in. Right. So I'm like, okay I'm going to click on it. So to your point short sometimes it might be like we've talked about just putting the person's first name with a question mark that's been used quite a bit now. So a lot of things we. Talked about on this podcast will tend to get over US really quickly and you have to move onto the next thing. Let's see I'm doing a cold email and I'm trying to get a client. I might say three issues with your website, right? It's it's short. It's to the point and it's something that you know that they care about. So if I'm the CEO of the company reach out to me, you tell me there's problem with my website on my own God. I'm. GonNa. Do I'm at the very least I'm probably if I'm responsible CEO, I'm GonNa Ford that to whoever's responsible on the team, and that's actually longtime ago. Here's a better example Neil and I hit a Zingo when they're are thinking about getting into poker and we just think the email is that was we've grown a poker websites before and then we getting a call with on a call with like four or five of their executives unfortunately day ended up scrapping the program but. It just shows and this is at the time Neil and I were I think it was twenty, six, twenty seven still sitting out the cold email you gotta think about what people care about and go from there. Neil. You even talk about the cold email that you sent to someone that kind of got into like a issue, which is call it that way. Yes. So there was a billionaire who got into a issue bad press I literally send a cold email on like. You're. GonNa run into more trouble unless you do this like something generic like that in decline and then I broke down. How my company can help them with PR you end up hiring me but I got him to respond to the email and he's prying but I quickly got from it that he didn't WanNA spend any money. So I kinda stopped messaging him back. But in general short catchy subject lines do well and anything that is very relevant to the time or something that they're facing problems that they're having do extremely well, and you don't need to know the person like if I'm sending you a cold email to fifty one hundred people in a space and I know I'm an SEO and I'm trying to get him for s you're related stop. I know people always want more traffic like I m saying like, try this hack. Your traffic will just go through the roof. And just like something that simple and a lot of people end up opening it, and then you can have a conversation and get responses. The final thing I'll add from my side is that the body of your email just you only need a personalized ten to twenty percent of it, and then it's personalized. So you don't need to go that far but the personalization goes a long way 'cause anybody and I promise you anybody that has a decent brain will know but it's just a template, and so you got to figure out how you can make it look legit and by the way you WanNa make. Sure your

Friends Don't Really Think Of You As Part Of Group

"Well, I hope you're sitting down because a recent study has revealed some pretty upsetting news regarding the relationship between you and your personal friend group results from a comprehensive survey of your friends is found that they don't really think of you as part of the group here to discuss is OPR popularity correspondent Dr Laura Albert Doctor Dow for thank you for joining us. Thanks for having me. Leslie. Now, this is probably pretty shocking. For the person listening to find out that the group of people they thought they were closest with don't feel the same at all but how exactly did the survey work? Well, mostly, it's actually pretty simple. Researchers just asked to every single one of your friends what they thought of you the person listening and the results were overwhelming. They just sort of think of you as a peripheral figure in their lives. That's just not really part of the crew. So you're saying all of. These quote unquote friends actually hate the person listening to this podcast well, hate is a strong word. These results seemed to indicate that friends view the listener don't even feel strongly enough about you to hate you.

Dont Mess With Notorious RBG: How to Fight For The Supreme Court

"To this week's on one with Angela. Arrived podcast. NATORI is a CB does not have the same notoriety as notorious RPG and what is really notorious is the Senate Republicans for trying to bulldoze the traditional Supreme Court nominations process. So we have assembled an all star legal panel today that also reflects how Supreme Court should look it probably also think here to break it all the way down like a fraction are Kristen Clark President and Executive Director of the National Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law Christopher. Kane. Chief counsel of demand Justice Ellie Misao justice correspondent at the nation and Tina Johnson President and CEO of times up. Hello everybody. Angela. Thank you so much for being here. So I want to start with giving honor where honor is due in. That is to start with Ruth Bader GINSBURG who we lost on September. Eighteenth. I feel like she held on just as long as she possibly could end for that I say thank you. To our BG to the to the real story is and I just wanted to give you all the opportunity to share some thoughts on route Baiter ins, birds passing on her impact in jurisprudence in which he wrote some phenomenal opinions including just two words, I dissent and you know anything else on your hearts to share about that because then we're going to get into the battle that is the Supreme Court nominations but I really WanNa give her some some time just do. Well, if you're a lover of justice than you definitely are feeling this, you're feeling the loss of Justice Ginsburg on the court right now having been inside the court was always great to see her in action. She was always an active questioner questioner always asking all of the tough questions and and really pushing. The. The Orleans before her. I also think though about Thurgood Marshall and what he meant for the court and Thurgood Marshall is somebody who dedicated his career to the practice of civil rights law when he was appointed in one, thousand, nine, hundred, sixty, seven, and justice Ginsburg frank lease the only a second civil rights lawyer to sit on the court. So right now we're at a moment where there's that void that vacancy in terms of somebody brings that lens to the issues that come before the court. So for me that really matters because we're not getting that with this nominee has been put forward. I'm. Christian I agree with you completely, I mean this this her career even before she got on the court is astonishing in all of us who are working women who are women who can sign around credit card applications and hold a mortgage in our own name and pursue our careers including. Alexis. Johnson wrote this morning you know including the current nominee to the court. We are -bility to do that to repair Berg I mean she dreamed up the idea that the equal protection clause should cover women equally as we weren't in there we were you know the kinds of. Laws kept women out of the economic life of our country. Were not challenged until she had the foresights quite frankly and the legal ability to think that up and percents that and so even before she got on the court Mike Thurgood, Marshall's she had transformed landscape forever for all of us and my dog is Getting this okay. Tina go ahead see. My my story about Ginsburg is is a personal one. So I was in high school I was on trial and a week with states or nationals whatever and one of the guest judges was at school year. And then after the thing he he gave a talk for for the kids and we got to ask questions I asked him a question and answering made fun of. I I asked him how he squared his opinions about originalist. I didn't know what was called originalism. Downing intangible whatever. But how he's wearing those opinions. Brownie. Be Bored event, which was obviously against the original intent of the founding slavers. Yet like super important right and he laughed at me and then everybody else laughed and you're like I. Don't know what they're teaching school and everybody else. A bunch of jokes and then some like really not really credible answer I would later. So he kind of any make of me dismissing it is sat down kind of embarrassed son how GINSBURG heard this story? I am magid now that since they were friends was probably bragging. Point about how? Of. This seventeen year old or sixteen year old. But anyway she's GonNa Message to remark. That was held back. Kids they keep descending. which you know is again, I didn't even realize how awesome and amazing was. Sixteen seventeen year old kid. But it really to me goes to show that at even kind of social setting in A. In a private setting as it must have been for her earth the story. The her her commitment to raising credible questions and raising the sense not backing down She lived at right and she gave me a nice little note when I was a kid. To keep trying.

Control The Plane and Don't Hit Anything

"We really have to concentrate on aircraft control and trying to avoid any collisions with terrain vehicles, etc. One of the things that we do aviators and we learn when we're aviators is we start with. Navigate and communicate mantra, and that's A way that we can pray our ties things, but there's times when we need more than just that, we have to internalize in not just talking about it and one of the things that we're finding now in this whole pandemic and it happens when people stop flying and we're seeing that throughout general aviation is that we see more accidents incidents in even people that are dropping out because they're afraid of. There's ways that we can actually hopefully maybe promote the vision industry and promote you to start getting back into flying and also do it safely, and that's the most important thing. So, let's talk a little bit about this and you know Eric that whole I wanna ask you real quickly because you kind of in that that collegiate environment. Navigate Communicate Mantra as far as what has happened here because you're you have so many students go through. Have you seen this these challenges of people having issues coming back from flying or not flying for? Awhile. Assure absolutely. So when everything sorta hit the skids in March mid March late March. WE SHUT flight training down effective April I was a cruel April fool's Day joke but it was real And we didn't resume flight training until the fifteenth of June so. We had two and a half months go by where students worked flying and when everybody came back. It it was an interesting thing. So instead of just picking up at the last lesson where everybody left. We thought it was important. To, basically re standardize everybody. So the flight instructors went back through standardisation training which. Requires whatever, year. Under part one, forty one, we re standardized everybody anyway, and then we brought all this bag standardized them and it's amazing I mean you know that it's true. But when you see it happen on that kind of scale the the amount that those physical skills degrade over a short period of time is is extreme. But. More important than that, and maybe the things we take for granted are those soft skills like collision avoidance like clearing turns before you start maneuvers right? And as the airspace particularly here in central, Florida started to get flooded with more and more aircraft if people were coming back. We started seeing a lot of students reporting. Hey, like We were in the middle of the clearing, someone other aircraft, and just off the just off the wing and change your altitude change your position. Just. Doesn't happen. Anyway it's just to your point Carl I think when when we have a hiatus like that when we come back, we're so focused on the physical flying skills. I hope I still remember the stick and rudder stuff, which is important. Sure. But those soft skills like looking outside the airplane at a staring at the flight instruments that we know those things but we. That stuff degrades to. When we're looking outside the airplane trying to avoid those are like you said, some of the sauce skills, clearing turns, etc.. One one thing that I think that degrades quickly is our ability to make decisions. But I think part of that can be attributed somewhat I'd like to kind of think outside the box here because our our degradation of are flying skills are currency our proficiency because I think what happens is whether we think we are proficient or not. We actually those skills start diminishing and we have to put more brain energy Omar Energy towards that physical flying, which means that we take away from like those soft skills you you talked about and that's where we talk about currency and proficiency I know that now especially at some of the airlines this whole. Extension of the Ninety Day rule has been talked about. Quite a bit and been reduced because of that because. Again going back to we we see that those physical skills come back quickly but during that period of bringing those physical skills back, we do grade some of those other soft skills like you talked about. So are you current or you proficient I think that's kind of where we're going with. That is the difference between currency and proficiency and currency is more of an FAA turn and it means that your legal in my mind truly true proficiency is like what you're talking about Eric.

Fonts Can Send Political Messages

"Here's something weird. Certain thoughts can send political messages. And with that. I am announcing my campaign for presidency using economic sense. Ms Well actually when you listen to this research you're gonNA realize why you don't WanNA use Comic Sans. Because nobody likes. It and liking fonts is one big part of this. I like Comic Sans No you. Don't nobody likes Comic Sans Vinyl run using papyrus even worse. My running mate will be Matthew mcconaughey all right well. A little while ago. A researcher at Virginia Tech named Kathryn Hanshin Notice that a local political candidate use different fonts on their signs in rural areas than they did in town as a political messaging expert. She wondered. Why was there. Something different about the fonts that worked best with people in the city versus people in the country so Hanshin turn that question into a research project. She and her team surveyed more than two thousand people to find out what they thought of various typefaces. And whether they thought fonts lined up with political ideologies sure enough they found that fonts can send political messages people see Fonseca's having liberal or conservative leanings. And the more people think of aligns with their thinking the more they'll like it. So here's the breakdown. Funds come in two basic varieties Sarath and sans Serif. A Sarah is a little liner stroke at the end of a letter. Think Times New Roman or your classic typewriter font the stuff you see in Newspapers Sans Serif Fonts are the ones without syrups silicon Arial Helvetica or the meriwether sands of the curiosity logo or just look at your keyboard right now. Chances are those letters are in a San Serif style. The study showed that generally speaking Sarah Fonts are considered more conservative and Sans Serif. Fonts are seen as more liberal. Bold type is seen as more conservative than Italic type but there are some differences within font families for example the highly serif black letter typeface. You usually see on the masthead of the New York Times and the Washington Post was seen as more liberal by conservative participants. Possibly because that's how they see these outlets specifically the important thing is that the more people viewed a font aligned with their ideology the more they liked it and vice versa. Basically this research shows that fonts have meaning and they're not just all about looks so as the two thousand twenty election heats up maybe take a closer look at those lawn. Signs and billboards design has a bigger impact than you think.

"Third or fourth sorted guy in the bullpen brian shock and get the job done you look at the offenses of these of these two and i certainly think that cleveland has more of the the the elite star power but you look up and down that yankees lineup they batted todd frazier last yesterday and you know todd frazier's no schmuck i know not on them did you see the thing on mlb network with their showing him hitting ultrabra barker walls no and he was hitting played eighty four mile an hour curve balls bout four or five inches off of the play when he hit one for a double we does i mean that is like a crazy guy like that of oba yanking kinda get down on that on that one nieto almost bell trace style and get that one headed swing out there and he'll go downing in engulf one out of their frazier well and in that the whole thing is that in pretty much their entire lineup can go yard at any given moment uh i loved that that they let aaron hake start they so they've got stronger defense out there and center um you know this audits it's salad i think you're right that the yankees have a chance because look at the indians um you know they're they've got good players but it's kinda the good i mean it it's kind of weird i mean ah jose ramirez francis gutmann door on amazing up the metal and chosen hall is underrated so i'm not going to talk smack on him but the kind of starting outfield is chiwetel fields only at reus is a little bit weird i mean no diarist like negative defense kipniss is like second game in center field as you say we don't really know it negative or not but you know any poor play that he makes is going to be highlighted all my by the fact that he's not a true centerfielder and so his in marty five oil that they seem like a centerfielder centerfield irving need seems corner like a like animals rather see ho they're here i mean they're both kind of barrelchested second baseman are not negga um.

"Maybe montgomerie's this the second left out of the bullpen and that's it i didn't i didn't see the back end of the of the roster there and i guess that can change it to write because this is a new series technically would that they're going to drive cleveland big make adjustments because of the i don't think they had like tanaka and sobat the on the roster ram because they didn't have to get extra bullpen extra bench pieces there something in some ways the bullpen uh for the yankees is better than the one the the men and further the indians because we've we've talked a lot about how great the indians bullpen was staff might have been one of the best of all time there's a great piece on by solvent and yes cody alan joe smith and andrew miller that's great maybe dan solid salazar is in that bullpen mixed but damager or clemenger but then there's definitely not the same depth like the starters of the yankees are gonna turn into relievers like the jordan montgomery situation like i take during montgomerie over josh tomlin and sure but but ugo lasko bauer guys have more lengthened on so yeah and you pick one of tomlin clemenger salazar for that next starter and then i think salazar starts may be and then club injures his piggyback and then tomlin's just kind of roaming there it's not as rich as the yankees one i agree but they shouldn't have to deal in those unto yeah you're right the expansion and to go that far and mcallister is actually pretty good and tyler olsen brian shaw battletested as well you know he was big piece for them people will say that he's really bad would have you washed at meet through was like a nasty ninety five mile are cutter thing that has the loss movement is a crazy pitch now he he eased he's pretty solid obviously is not your go to you you don't want them with an on the line too often if you can avoid it of course but uh i i certainly think as a.

"Thought i'd drop them a million times but it was just goes to show them five wins unosom at maybe next year he gets more winds because they realize what they have earlier and i can totally see him being being that guy who who worse a lot of middle innings and ends up with doubledigit saves again in what predict that but those are the types of guys that i i i think you look at so projecting forward on this yankees team they're going to face cleveland now um i think they have a real shot i love this cleveland team with its no shade on this cleveland team i just thank you look think minnesota was the clear weak link in the playoffs and um i don't know maybe the rockies to a degree to will see how that goes tonight with them but i think i think that minnesota was the clear week lincoln's and i are looking at the aol and i don't really see any combination of an f c us that would surprise me the yankees if they beat the cleveland indians it would definitely be an upset because obviously there they're eleven wins worse than there the wildcard team but i don't know that outside of it being a statistical upset that it would be that crazy do you think this yankees team has has a real shot to take down cleveland i i do i mean they're very powerful the bullpen is there you have all these offdays built in um so the biggest yankee weakness in some ways is mitigated by the situation you now talking about uh you know being able to throw all those them it's a great bullpen they put together a grape open i mean do we do even see down matanzas yesterday.

"Um i want to just one and he's a man who union about you're gonna go get vargas inseason because the winds and then you get the terrible half of he have no you get the secondary starters on the good teams wants those teams start to develop yeah i guess that would be a kind of like go get michael walker he didn't carso monster new ancelin i mean you know i don't know how many whence he had i'm just saying he's guy who usually goes deep in the games i mean or you're just trade first order who's doing really well like i'm just not gonna tax alshara as we're working with so little information and that plans going to fall apart they all get her room yeah exactly so i don't think that you know even with justin's numbers on on those um on the the guy's not qualifying for the innings threshold which is going to cut into the winds i'm just i can't plan for that you know down to slow down all suffering from the same exactly it it kinda makes some of these uh you know it continues to add viability two relievers to write the guys who come in who we're seeing more and more fireman and and and they're starting to get wind louisville unimagined trying to predict reliever wins i mean i am people ask me that in the end game and david robertson once he got went to the yankees and krista venzke those are easy answers but then the those are the ones again i mean you can't go to you can't go too much beyond it i'm not saying the trying figure out that michael lorenzen is going to get our an app michael gibbons was clearly not going to get saves uh he has a decent team that was going to win some games that he came in and the fourth linear preventing order and he has great numbers otherwise too because i don't even want my even if someone told me michael owens is going to get eight wins i don't care he has an eight point seven strike up her nine in a 445 era but you can find those those stud relievers that aren't going to be closing on quality teams in kind of kind of go for it that way.

"Eddie rosario and i bought i forget who else but i i thought there we go i thought i thought that was kind of your modified approach right where was later on i'm paying attention to it i'm buying into steals but i'm not you know going in buying zero homer steals guys and i ended up with like 40s steals it's crazy i mean obviously at francisco endorse supposed to be a big part of your stolen bases and he did decide to hit thirty two home runs and i i'm doing a job i would i would have given that up in a second i would give me 32 homebase zero homers lipid alexandria virginia and homers 33 stolen bases army flip that there had 19 azt year he he is so efficient on the basis to that i i don't think he's going to get away from from running i do think that uh i'll be really interested to see what happens with when door next year at age twenty away the game is gone i mean th the game has been engineered this why because stolen bases are not worth that much and it's not great to have your pitch receive the lineup the third time rounds unless there you know a a dominant starter but you know in terms of chasing wins how do you feel about that because i look at the winds leaderboard and i see a bunch of indians abc's some red sox you know i see some good teams but i also see urban santana with six guys i just called twins bad team that made the sale of settlement adjacent vargas will be a good one he had eighteen wins that davies i mean they were good they were solid team it in milwaukee but uh that you'd have predicted those rides would have been hard by that you wouldn't have bought jason vargas because he thought he would win eighteen games so exactly and jose uranium had fourteen wins in that that i it is yeah but it is interesting to think that this is a reason to buy an ace high because look at the guys who do when these like the guys who you would have predicted to have a lot of wins kleuver carascalao kershaw sale grank you.

"Now justin mason a producer justin mason pointed out on twitter uh he's at justin mason f w f be friends with penza benefits and that he had a yearbyyear breakdown of i think you reference it of the qualified innings the number of starters that have reached the qualified any special that's where the ira title in it's gone from eighty one to eighty eight and thirteen and fourteen to fifty eight this year so it's crazy now we are pulling starters earlier injuries the 10day do those things are frittering away at the number of innings you can expect out of a pitcher and then just wins which is like a normal uh stat that's given given to to you know that's a court counting stat must more leagues has gone from in 2010 seven seventeenhundred and 40 wins to 1600 ann 28 last year six hundred four as as a hundred winds that are not on the table anymore our almost going the way of the sarin base and that the stolen base of of pitching yeah and i don't know that i'll go so far as to want to you know change my philosophy completely you still have to compete in run in home runs and rbi and runs and those things are all in a related those things are all cocoa related basically so if you get a homerun you get a run an rbi rights from mob so like i you can't punt home runs it's too many categories but in terms of how much allocate towards speed and pitching that may change a little bit just because the rob silver also had a great thing he looked he looked at all of the different categories you know the threshold the ninety ninety th percentile for all the different categories an nf fbc and he had us is a threat on a goods two or three days old and he just you just look at what it takes to get into the nineties percentile and steals is down to like fifty eight or something.

"And and i think that can have some benefit in a game in a win in a game winning situationally a one game situation in that you could start a lefty and then go to severino second or or or go to a righty second and force the other team to do weird things their lineup uh and play matchups from the very beginning so that that's definitely something that i think should happen certain wildcard situations annan and certain game four game three where it's not your severino like theoretically you want severino to pitch more than you want adam warren to pitch or more ziane yes cc to pitch you know so like you still start submarine on hope you can get three or four innings because you don't want to pitch nine innings from your bullpen are eytan a third you know every game so you know i think that's there's a couple of different concepts are being inflated i mean yes the bullpen went heavy in the way they went hard and they they saved the yankees season um but for for example if you're going into that game is the twins do you want to do you plan on both petting because you know that they don't have hope as the thoroughly out of the bullpen to do it and that's what always worried me and so when they get a 300 lead i'm thinking now you look looking santana barito's hopefully four seven innings of this game ideally in obviously did not play out that way but that would have been in my estimation their best path to victory did not play out that way and of course now they're going home but um yeah i i just never really thought that they had the bullpen to hang the pit even if they won this game i don't i'm not sure how far that the twins woulda gone with their pitching personally overall the pitching is not very good but i do think that the way that this game worked out i think that is that does point to something that's fans irrelevant which is that it's harder and harder to get wins i mean.
