"World I'm like. Is that the same one from schools at the city? Yes. Yeah to save you know man. She's my soul sister and music she. So you can here's the thing. What's crazy is you can hear it like on repeat is jam. Like my my favorite song off of the pendulum record is enough and you can hear you can hear just this incredible collaboration in just how how well her vocals and her writing sits with your production. Oh, man like it's it's the slammer like those drums are crazy. Man It's litter dot EPA was wild. We did that three days. You know my one song a day you know and like from scratch it was it was just the thing where like with with her it's just like that. You know it's it's very it's. It's cool because the lines get super blurred with her I. Feel like that's that's how I've found that I'm getting a allow veteran in in songwriting to you know because the thing where like is just us to in this room and by the end of the day, there will be something you know but it's because she she kind of like get something. So Weird Outta me you know in. Law Is it true that in her song alone you didn't use a grid. while. Coup. So it was it's not necessarily that I didn't use grid I just like we did the verse. And then she like we kind of like talked for a second and she was like, well, maybe in the course we can like do like. I was like great. Cool. I was like where we'll just there like we'll just go there because that's so dope and I feel like one one of the most important things that I think in music production the I think producers should keep in mind is that it's sort of like the the music needs to speak to the to to the songwriting into the words. Like they they need to they need to it. It should. It should always have a purpose like doing a gesture to be just for the sake of of the gesture or two flags are for for the sake of like Oh. Yeah. That sounds cool. But if if if it's part of like the subtext and the picture like the, the reason why I kinda wanted to do that is to just kind of like make you feel alone you know might just like have you like put you in a space and like it's very like kind of like broken down in a lot of ways and like things come in and out and like it it sorta like draws you in. And then what I wanted and I think a lot of it happened subconsciously to you know. Where where it was a thing where I just wanted to like sweep the rock off and Disney like you're GonNa, feel alone is shit right now you're gonna I want you to feel like shit right now like I want you to like kind of light. Do you should put Mug just be like you you get you get to work like I want you to feel like, Shit? Right. Now. But it's it's it's. It's it's manipulation you're like I wanted to speak. Through the the music without without necessarily like taking Lakers just kind of like highlighting what she's doing. You know and it's kind of like even putting it putting putting it on on..

"And they thought he'd come on something when it came to date. Because it just ask did not sound like they're normal stockcar not at all well thought it was funny because Larry McClure did mention the fact that there were the Tigers with long range telephoto lenses trying to get a shot of what was taking place underneath the race card. act. So you had a lot of SPA versus spas stuff going on at the CIA, some of US walking through the garage Aaron all of a sudden we have been down. In front of that, Morgan Clerk car not. See Anything we did that Rick wanted to let that team. No. We use some was up. Well, he did say that it was some having to do with the exhaust system and just the way that thanks sounded I will never forget that sound i. mean it sounded just like jet fodder going awry. Racetrack. Diaper, sound and it ran just like a jet father in law. You're. Absolutely as good as things were in nineteen, ninety five, that was probably the heyday of that race team I think they won three races I. Think they won Daytona I. Think they won at Darlington and I think Talladega, one of the Talladega is that year they were third in point. So that was the heyday but then just two years later, there is this huge dropoff in results and things didn't look good. Tony Glover laughed in nineteen, Ninety six, and of course, Tony was the longtime kerchief there and sterling moved the following year in nineteen ninety-seven. And both of those guys went to Sadko rising and just from the tone of Larry's voice, it didn't sound like there was a whole lot of love lost their between Larry and it's Not GonNa be much when you lose your driver and your crews, even the space if two years, but you can't really fault Tony and sterling because the results were not there and they saw an opportunity to bed themselves by going with Felix about it sets APCOA. Finally, here's a little bit behind the same stuff from the same podcast as I mentioned in the first episode that featured layer McClure Jamie bishop, who is one of? Our longtime frontier to podcast longtime crew member for a number of different rights. Teams include Morgan McClure motorsports, but Jamie helped may track down some contact information for Larry and when Jamie got back to me, he said that Larry just wanted to talk about race. They just wanted to talk about the positive stuff and I knew immediately while he was getting at and not that I had to Cajole or chases conversation or chases interview. But I knew what he was talking about right. Back in April of two thousand, nine Larry was actually sentenced to eighteen months in federal prison for pleading guilty to five counts of filing false income tax return, obstructing the investigation and lying to our s investigators. So I did call Larry and I told him that if he just wanted to talk about racing, that was fine with me but we did talk about the fact that the journalist in May would always want to know about that experience and how he managed go through something like that. And come out the other side and I did go up to Abington and did do the interview and at the very end I asked him if he would feel comfortable talking about that season of his life and Steve Everybody heard the result he did address it still though I did make sure to ask all my questions that I didn't think he would have a problem with first. So that way if he did get mad about me asking about his jail time and refuse to talk anymore, we'd still have something to go on. But Larry did come and talk about his jail time and talked about the experience that he went through and you know I really respect him for doing that because he accomplished at least a couple of things number one, he didn't hide anything from an interview that he knew he had to know you you're gonNA tax on that and didn't run away from it and number two I think that speaks about it like he did really earns him. Respect from our listeners that he didn't dodge a bad portion of his life and in the end that was the right thing to do I think he said that he did wind up. I think he said fifteen months to go through that and to come out the other side as I mentioned I think speaks volumes to the fact that he learned from his mistakes. Obviously, he doesn't have the rice team anymore, but we met there at the shop that used to house that race team. He still has a just steve he has a cordless, a gorgeous collection of vintage cars and trucks and I mean just some amazing vehicles. His relationship with his wife is still intact so they're still married. and. They have gone through that and he is Larry McClure again. And to be honest with you, it was like we were long lost friends and I thought that was a very cool experience. I agree with you on that with what happened between you and Larry talking about this is as it should. because. As. I. "Wanted. I something with the payload something with malicious intent. There's a video that shows the four, nine installer installed via the Samsung apps store run like normal than the app installed as expected, only reveal it actually installed something different in the app settings. It shows has been having installed on the Samsung apps store. So Google audited, the software notified, epic of the flaw. Then they went public with per their own disclosure policy and then epic games got pissed Google didn't hold off on that announcement until the it was widely installed as they requested ninety days before public. Closure ethic went on record saying it was so Google score, quote, unquote, cheap, PR points. So epic games, Google, the fight that we didn't think this would happen. It's epic is this is battle ever was if Google ever had ammo for the point of why to use the Google play store. This is why right this would this able to slip through the Google play store? Oh, Google vets. Everything. Will. Yeah. And from what I understand. So let me read this Email from Chuck because he called us to task. He said with all the fear of four night, not being on the play store. I'm surprised that no one on triple a. has mentioned the obvious fortnight is in the Samsung apps store. This means the largest Android phone share in the US download fortnight without turning on unknown sources. I think the done a disservice to your listeners by implying that it's only available via side loading, which is true. That's fair. Did not pretty sure that Ron, and I mentioned that it was in the Samsung store. Okay. I if you did stores and we definitely mentioned that all right, if. The record we did with the play neutral down the line. We did mention it, but we really focused on the outside the Google play store side of it. So I could see why the sidelight both. Right? But the reality is, in this particular case, it would not have been any benefit regardless that it was. In fact, it isn't the video that you saw kind of demonstrates that it was installed using private galaxy apps PI apparently which works behind the scenes when you're doing it through the through the Samsung apps store to make the whole process easier, which basically meant that what affectively did for you. It allowed. Allowed packages to be renamed the same name as four-night, which in this case was calm, dot EPA games dot fortnight. That could basically masquerade as the real app and install them out where whatever the payload is win. The fortnight installer that you got from the legitimate Samsung apps store was installed and running. So within that app, as you see the kind of video that's showing here, you clicked download within there and what's happening at that point is that another apple, the phone has masqueraded its own version of com dot EPA games dot fort night that has whatever the payload is that inserts in there and as user you just don't know. And the way that that even happened was because it was, I mean, partially in this case was because it was delivered via the Samsung apps store. Now they've made changes. They've updated, like you said, Ron. One challenge though, and I I didn't include this in here is that the games did mention that like an update to the installer doesn't happen a less. Somebody actually goes into the installer app. That's what when you launched the installer app, that's when the installer app realizes there is an update to be made and then makes that update and fixes the whole. I'm not sure anybody's going into the installer happen and running it again, unless I misunderstood that. Once you run it, you've got the app, the actual four-night app running on your phone. You don't need the installer anymore. So missing something there, but that's not vs on. Yeah. So regardless, we should probably look at this as more of what's to come from Android device makers. Just this kind of like exclusivity in a way to sort of like wou- certain, you know, groups of accusers and gamers and players, and it kinda does add an extra frustration. And I know it's a buzzword hearing all about Android, but it does add a little bit of fragmentation ecosystem that's already so apparent. And this is why it's a problem is because you have Google putting all of these efforts into the play store to make sure that like it is scanning apps, and there are people who are reading descriptions and making sure that these apps you know, aren't malicious and how I mean, what is everybody else's stance? I mean, now you've got to keep track of so many different places. So many different sources we're getting wraps I, it's just it, doesn't it? It's not good. Bob, it's not good. Not great buff. Right. Very nice. Agreed and now we will never have another fortnight story on this show again until next week. Flow. You got the needle next week. Yeah, that's fair. All right. So last week I booked my first flight on Google flight. It was an amazing, easy experience. You've never Google funds. I've never booked a flight on. Well, because Ken to, you know, you'll go to to the website. I usually go to the website and book at Drexel airline, but last week was the first time I booked it through Google flights to see like if it would really get me the cheapest deal and it did. Did you did it? Did I only paid one hundred eighty bucks to fly to Portland, which is not bad? It's not bad. Google flights is great. I didn't even like, I don't even. I tried it against differen- way. We're not here to compare it, but I did want to add that. I did my first Google flights booking last week. I will be flying on that flight and a couple of weeks. And I'm really looking forward to the whole experience of the transaction being done. And it's also because you know, we know that Google is really good at tracking flights. So naturally think you'll get the best the best deal. And you know, Google flights is now doing a price tracking feature roll out which is based on historical pricing of the current year. Sue can get more of a. A expanded look on with the pricing is like from your favorite airlines in like the places that you wanna go little show you the low high and typical price points compared to the price that you're looking at. Just kind of based on like an annual view also include similar tools for hotel, so you can see like, oh, is this hotel cheaper March than April? Maybe we should stay at the hotel in March. So you know, little ways. I mean, this was always kind of part of Google flights is to kind of help you find deals on a spectrum, whatever your budget was and then just kind of stay within that budget. But these are just additional features that makes you want to really commit to using this to plan your trips. And Jason did leave a little note in the dock, which I really agree.
