"Look like they are trying to turn him into more than just a straight line burner cuz when they took him, I think we all thought. All right. Well, you know, maybe turns into damiere Byrd and it's good to have a player like that. It's not a number one wide, receiver God comparison. Yeah. Just kind of that guy who can fly down the field and keep the defense honest. Here we go. Picking up to Mere bird again. But I you know, I think that's what we all thought when they picked him and know it looks like they're going to try to kind of round them out and turn me, more well-rounded, you know, three down wide receiver. And that tells me that they they don't plan on just letting this kid go and we'll see what happens if he makes the roster and then get them on the practice squad. I don't think you should. It's not to say he's a Foxboro flu candidate. So we'll see what happens with him but it does look like they have a focused plan for him. He is right right now. He is playing the Edelman roll with the back up, right? Like he's the second team medal. Meg. He's playing inside. He's running. I wrote down today and, and throughout the days that he's worked with Matt Jones, 59 option, probably a dozen time, Right, where he's just running those that little Juke series inside, you know, read The Zone coverage, sit-down Juke out, you can versus Man coverage. You know, little option routes and the inside and Mac is just a quick quick to get that ball out and you just can pick on those underneath linebackers like that with Dre Nixon. And I just didn't know, because he didn't play that role at UCF trading. Since coaches told me, he's a much better route Runner than we were able to show off because we didn't really run that kind of offense, right? We were vertical offense, we were get up the field type of offense, so we didn't really get this show how quick he was, but they were all acting up is a really quick receiver that runs good routes. We've definitely seen that, at least against the scout-team defense. We'll see, I think in some of these preseason games Tre Nixon might have a huge game, right? Like we thought I think he's a guy who's going to pop off. Yeah, he could have over a hundred yards easily and one of these preseason games so I just wanted to bring him up as well. I also wrote down Adrian covert, I mentioned him earlier in the show, your guy had a ninja Option today. What do you think about it? Yeah, it was a nice pic. I mean, it's I, he hasn't maybe popped as much as I thought he would. He's been the first guy on the field almost every day. So that, yeah, it's interesting. I was looking for him, you know, that kind of play today is what I envisioned him doing. And, you know, complementing, Devin McCourty. They just, you know, in my mind, it was okay. I'd love to have the Duron Harmon roll back. And can you get another deep 50 to pair with McCrory and just give yourself a more reliable to high? Look than just rotating Corners back there. But between miles Bryant, it seems like miles Bryant's a safety. Now, I don't think they view him as a corner. He's been working a lot with. Yeah, he's a nickel safety, right? Cuz he plays the slide. Really behind Jonathan Jones and yeah. Yeah, he's played. He's played deep a couple of times too. So I think between miles Bryant taking on more safety reps and they're just so deep at box office and they want to be focused there. You know, I'm starting to kind of rethink that. And, and the plan I had in mind for Adrian covert maybe isn't there. But, you know, good to see him get the interception today. I still think he's a good player..

"Listen, we had a team and I need to find guys to fit certain roles to give us the best chance to win a championship That season and so I was drafting guys with the thought in mind. Okay. This is a weakness. Let's fill the weekdays the player and hey, you know, three years four years from now. I'm not even thinking about that. I'm more thinking about what gives us the best chance to win a championship. Is that possibly part of what Belichick's talking about when he says selling out for Brady is that he was trying to find not just on offense, but he was trying to find guys to fill specific roles to give those specific teams the best chance to win. I think there's some validity to that. You know, I am looking I'm looking back like let's just say To me. Well what it Belichick said 14, right? Is that when he said so eighteen yet? Yeah. Okay. So looking going back to those drafts, you know, actually, I mean, let's go to let's go to the draft before because I want to call I also going to call bullshit on this from Belichick about you know, cuz I do think I do think you're right. I think that's part of what he meant. But when you actually look at it, I mean in 2013, they drafted Jamie Collins and Jamie Collins was he you know, he started a special team as sort of an edge rusher do a little bit of that this and that almost like hoochie a but you know, he he was good football player. They could plan all three Downs because he was fast cuz he could run off the Jump like and also woken Ryan was a really good football player that could play on every down Duron Harmon not a great football player, but at least dead You know, he could he could play free deep safety on all three Downs Aaron Dobson and Josh Boyce were the quarterbacks the the wide receivers that year and they sucked it.
