"donohue" Discussed on The Charlie Kirk Show
"Very important topic here and an incredibly important film. Joining us now is Bill donohue, creator of Walt disenchanted kingdom, and also the president of the Catholic league. Bill, welcome to the program. Thank you for doing this film. I think it's incredibly important. Tell us about it and we'll proceed from there. Tell us about the film. Well, it's basically a movie to show how Disney has evolved. It was when I was a kid. It was the most family friendly institution in America. I came to love Disney as all of our kids that there were some signs that they were changing in the 1970s. They adopted when they bought ABC, which then took on miramax as a distributor putting out some anti Catholic movies, but they didn't go deep into this woke culture until more recent times. And now Disney, along with a lot of the corporate 500, along with the healthcare sector and the military, very traditional institutions that have now taken on the left wing agenda. That's what makes this different than what it was in the 1960s. In the 1960s, shit they shouted people down like they did at you in Arizona state. And Dennis prager, I've been shut it down out in California university. A long time ago. But it's worse today because today there's a hatred that is so deep, it's hard to imagine. The fact that Disney is now cited instead of being agnostic and not getting involved in politics. It just stick to their agenda, which was to make its happy. Now they're out there sexualizing them. So I decided that, you know, enough was enough. If you're going to fight desantis on this, and you're going to have to kids in kindergarten. That's 5 years of age. Yes. I threw to 8 in the third grade, then we have to really step it up and tell the truth about what's happening. And it's not just that Disney used to produce innocent or neutral content. They actually used to produce beautiful content. The stories that they would publish were had Christian values all over them, strong defending the weak, the hero's journey, the development from adolescence into maturity. I could go through story by story, Peter Pan, or Pinocchio, the need to tell the truth and to be a commitment to honesty or the idea of no longer being your former self and going on a journey of self improvement. Disney was the hallmark of trying to enrich and instill adult values or proven honestly Christian values through the stories in in cartoon form or in classical format in the 1990s Disney is still great today, but so what changed then? How did we go from the kind of the central canon of Disney, which you could say was, you know, Lion King, Snow White, Pinocchio, stories that really were embedded deeply into the consciousness of the western tradition to now know exaggeration LGBTQ propaganda. Why did that change? You know, back in the 1980s, I became one of the founding guys involved with the national association of scholars, and I stayed on the board of directors for 20 years running the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh champions. It's about keeping the academy clean to keep it a space where merit counts where free ideas, whereas the pursuit of truth, not politics. I mentioned that because the answer to your question, Charlie is, it all begins in the academy. It always starts in higher education. I've never met more dysfunctional people in my life than the average college professor and I spent many years being a professor. And there's a lot of good people out there don't get me wrong, but they've got me become increasingly dismissive and alienated from our society, but tremendous angry and resentment. It took a long time, but to seep into the side. He almost percolating up. It starts his crazy seminars and associations and conferences and it's taken a while, but it's now got into the mainstream culture. They've now been able to educate. So many of our leaders in this country, beginning with the Ivy League, but not exclusively to an Ivy League school. I taught it a small cap and stolen Pittsburgh. It's all over. It's taken a while, but it's now into the culture. It's deep. They've even succeeded in the corporate world. My office is looking right down at the World Trade Center where it used to be. I saw it, I saw the World Trade Center, but down that day, down there was Wall Street. It was a time when Wall Street would be on our side. They no longer are..

ASU Faculty Condemn Event Featuring Dennis Prager and Charlie
"I'm going to be speaking at an event with Dennis prager at Arizona state university, ASU. And it is causing a little bit of an issue, apparently. So it is the Barrett honors college we're speaking at this event. I mean, can you think of a less controversial title of an event? Health, wealth and happiness. That is the name of the event. Set the take place tomorrow at ASU's Arizona state university's damage auditorium will feature speakers, Charlie Kirk and Dennis prager, as well as personal financial coach Robert. Kiyosaki. Faculty at the honors college claim to have been made aware of the event, not through the established channels of communication, but rather through social media postings. So the professors are getting really fired up. The professors are really upset that Dennis prager and I are going to be on campus can't happen. Irina Levin, who's an affiliate at the Barrett honors college set about me speaking, my initial response was shock, I do not think that the decision to host these speakers at Arizona state university's premier venue is in congruence with Barrett's principles as an institution. What principles are that exactly? Outraged that conservative people might speak at the school sponsored event, Barrett faculty then created a petition. This is what they're worried about. Dennis prager and I coming on campus, they were requested the university to condemn the event.

Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy Discusses AT&T's Big Censorship Move
"Is a top 16 channel of all there's a couple of hundred cable channels they pay. We're top 16. We're top four and it was top 16 overall. So there's probably a hundred channels lower than us in the ratings. That they keep that have high fees, newsmax, they run around and take newsmax wanted an excessive fee. We wanted $1 per cable subscriber per year. It's one of the cheapest that CNN gets $14. What? For nothing. For nothing. Well, for liberal propaganda, but you have to remember AT&T's awoke company. You know, they were the ones that weaponized CNN against Trump and the Republicans when they owned it. The chairman of the AT&T board is William kennard. He was Obama's chairman and the FCC. There's a whole bunch of Obama Clinton people at the board. So that Alan Dershowitz is just set on newsmax on the website we have it today that this is a cover for political reasons. They're using economic. He said, this was political bias. This was ideology. There's no reason newsmax should have been deplatformed, but other than their cleaning up their channel guide for the 24 elections, they don't want people to have a voice that are dissenting from the liberal establishment.

AT&T's Politically-Motivated Move to De-Platform Newsmax
"Of power that corporations have to be able to choose what you hear is disturbing and it's somewhat of a new phenomenon. AT&T AKA direct TV has been for years going and more and more in the woke direction. And I love watching newsmax. I know so many of you agree. They do such a great job and actually I watch them when I work out and I watch them on AT&T, my condo association provides DirecTV for all of us now because of their decision that's going to be put in jeopardy and not be able to happen. So joining us now is the CEO of newsmax does a fabulous job Chris ruddy to talk about this very urgent issue with a specific action item for our audience. Chris, welcome to the program. Well, Charlie, thank you for having me on. I think you do a fabulous job when you do a really incredible work. The media with young people and spreading the message. Well, thank you. So Chris, the floor is yours, tell our audience what's going on. Well, a lot's going on. I think a lot of people know that newsmax was censored by AT&T DirecTV. AT&T owns direct TV. They own 70% of it. And we were removed from all their signals on January 24th, 13 million homes couldn't get newsmax anymore, at least for the moment. Charlie, you know, this really starts in 21 Nancy Pelosi gets control of the House, her democratic minions send a letter to AT&T and other cable operators and say, take one America channel on newsmax and Fox News off their spreading disinformation. They send this two page letter, they hold hearings, AT&T complies. We know they remove the one American channel last year. It was a popular channel. And they removed it. They said it was cost cutting.

Caller Molly Puts the Pieces Together on the Whole Biden Scandal
"Cause it's Friday. First up, it's Molly, line one, San Antonio. Hi doctor G, I called you last week about the timing of the Penn Biden center in D.C. thing and Joe taken off back to and I happened to catch cash Patel. I think he was talking to Brian on Fox and Friends saying that he thought that they were tipped off by something they saw in the laptop. I mean, in the DoJ. And of course, of course, they told him and then that night, Tucker did his opening. I don't know if you saw it where he had the email that hunter was sending to Devin archer about, hey, we've got to get this wrapped up before my guy goes over there. And all the points. In 24 items in this long email and also Tucker was showing the box on the dining room table. And you know Hunter Biden could never have written that. You read it and you knew it was something from CIA analysts or something governmental, State Department and he said, you've got to get all this and then Devin archer went to The White House to see Joe and then Joe took off for Ukraine, but in any case, I got to thinking about all of this and I thought that's how they knew to go look at that and that woman lawyer that went that was a previous White House counsel? Yes. Guess who and then she became Biden's personal lawyer. She's Perkins Kuwait. Well, of course, of course, they're all really, they're all connected. I haven't seen that and then here's something I do want you to check with Gordon Chang about. I think it came out from Gordon in the last year, how all of a sudden the assets that we had in China were grabbed up. You mean, you mean intelligence assets? Yes. And of course they were exposed.

Dr. Jeff Barke on the Tip of the Iceberg for the Vaccine Industry
"Let's talk about what we've learned in the last two months since Elon Musk took over at Twitter, the suppression of factual data by The White House by Fauci and others. Do you think this is the tip of the iceberg? What are the ramifications going to be for next time when we have a serious pandemic? Give us your response, doctor barkey. Well, it's not only the tip of the iceberg for COVID-19, but it's the tip of the iceberg for the entire vaccine industry. Now people are questioning all vaccines, whether it's the annual flu shot or routine childhood vaccines or shingles vaccine or pneumonia vaccine, et cetera. They scratch their head and they wonder, can they trust these companies to provide a safe and effective product? And the answer is probably not. We need to review all of these things. And under great skepticism, we should be reviewing the vaccine industry as a whole as some people are doing. So good for veritas for bringing this out and good for the CDC now having the courage to say, we have seen injury signals and we're going to start investigating.

Sebastian Reviews the Bodycam Video of the Paul Pelosi Attack
"Show you it has been released not only the 9 11 call from Paul Pelosi to the dispatcher in San Francisco on that October night. We now have the body cam footage of what happened when the police came to his home. Really weird because he stood there with his quote unquote assailant and didn't try to leave the building. Here's the footage play cut. Hi guys, how you doing? How are you? What's going on, man? Hi. Drop the hammer. Nope. Hey. What is going on? So for those who are only listening to this show, it's unusual, the door is opened. Poor Pelosi standing there in his underwear in his left hand, he's holding some kind of drink some big like a Monster Energy drink can or can a beer or what have you. And then his quote unquote is sailing, this illegal immigrant from Canada is holding a hammer which Pelosi is also holding, there doesn't seem to be a lot of fear on Pelosi's face. Until what happens, the police officer says, to the illegal immigrant, drop the hammer at which point he refuses and raises the hammer and goes after Pelosi, what was happening in the intervening period, what was he doing there standing with a drink in hand and in his underwear, it's all very, very strange.

Bill Donohue: Biden Is Beyond Creepy in Interview With Transgender Man
"Bill, I was really taken aback by an article that appeared on Catholic league dot org and you rightly called out this crazy interview that this transgender TikTok star did Biden inviting him to The White House and you say Biden is beyond creepy here. Yeah, I mean, this is astonishing. A doctor here recently said, if somebody walked into my office as a man, and he said, I want you to cut off my leg. He said, well, we wouldn't do it. We just don't walk in here and say, we're going to amputate your leg. But if he says I want you to cut off my male genitalia, they would say, well, just go down the hall. It's okay. I mean, this is child abuse when you're dealing with children. And the idea that you would mutilate your body and engage in chemical castration with irreversible puberty blockers, does Biden even know or does he care? What happens to young people? They're all now, there's a big movement of people de transitioning, they're trying to get back to where they were before they had this kind of a breakdown. Instead of reaching out to these people, many of whom are mentally ill, others of whom are young girls, 70% of the people transitioning or girls try to be boys, so much for the women's movement. These people need help. Now, they're doing it because they take it chic and they have no idea about the long-term consequences. He's celebrating this at the same time that he says it's okay. He came right out and said, it's okay for the boys to use the girls bathrooms. You can shower with them. It doesn't matter to him. You can bust into this sports, ruin women's sports and at the same time use their facilities. And as I pointed out, well, this is not a big shocker.

"And now back to the podcast but six months plan. The wedding and there was a lot of details. I want to do but we. Diy the of his wedding on the day of the wedding. I literally sat down here. Thank god we hired people who are friends that we trestle right. My god thank the hair makeup. Julius follow him on instagram. Julius michael one we met through saucy. He's a he does all bravo liberties and his husband arturo already. He is phenomenal as well and we were in their hand. But it's funny. Because i sat down to get my hair makeup dumb in already started doing the makeup and i went like this five minutes tank. I'm used to working with them on younger I sit in the chair. Close my eyes and they just like get after it. And i was like i get an artist like what did you hear me now. I was like doing. I have not hear you say that he was like i'm doing. I'm doing your makeup. And i was like what like. We didn't even talk about like 'cause i'm a control freak and especially over my physical appearance. I'm usually like hyper psycho like trials and this and like i know exactly what i'm doing i don't even know if fucking shoes i don't even know if my spanks fit on what we did. Try them on the day of. Oh i wore them to the dinner. And then dirty asked me was all mcgann and then actually didn't have the right like bra across top..

"A one time use mental desk that fits perfectly inside your body years ago. I had a birth control ring that i would put in for birth control and it was actually very easy to put an easier than a tampon. And that is what the flex disc in terms of like insertion reminds me of and it's very easy to insert do not be scared. I understand changes terrifying. But i'm telling you it's really there's so one flextech's can be worn up to twelve hours. You heard me twelve hours and hold as much flow as three super. Tampons now want to be cleared. The flex disc. It's not a cop and it's better than a tampon. It's unlike any other period product that you've seen before. I have had so many disasters with tampons. It is just i mean. I can't even count the amount of time. Like even if i don't have an accent anxiety around having like a tampon just like you know it's just like gives out even if it's like a super super super plus and you've got this like embarrassing mess on your hand it doesn't happen with the flex disc plus you can wear the flex disc for mess free period. Sex your heard your partner will be very grateful and you're white sheets will definitely thank you. Flex discs also creates sixty percent less waste compared to pads and tampons. So yes you can consider it using flex your environmental good deed and if you wanna go zero waste and have the planet love you even more. Pick up the flex cop. It's a reusable menstrual cup. That cosmo rated number one. The patented pull tab makes flex the only cup in the market that removes like tampon. It's so easy seriously really is if you knew how to use damp on you know how to use this..

I feel like somebody who had a super over the top expensive new york city soul wedding and that i grew up i learned perspective. I came alive lesbian. Nfl love with you. My true love my twin eight megan fox and michigan. Kelly stole it from us like vogue. You guys saying. I'm forever. But i will say yeah we. We had a low key. Low key wedding a low key life low high. Do you think our wedding was key. Do I guess it was. I don't know i. Somehow i would categorize it. It was not over the top like the flowers weren't outrageously expensive. I refused i. Did the lights myself yet. like a it was just. It was simple and elegant and call lassie. So that's another thing wrong. My first wedding. The budget was out of control. My parents gave me budget. I cried like the little bitch brat. That i was on the side of the street like christy. What an asshole. I hate my old cell. And i'd be miles south of i met her ever. I kick them bitches fight. You know what we like. We wanted good things for ourselves but also for our guests so it's like we had good food and good booze yet because like for clam bake it's like we got hard plastic utensils. We didn't spend stupid money now where where didn't have to know we didn't. We really didn't so that thing. Is i think my first wedding. I spent way too much way over budget. It was unnecessary. My parents was been me and his parents had to contribute that same amount and it was it was it was six figures so that was a huge mistake. I will say this And i knew this going in. And i knew this day. I got mary my first wedding. I knew on the day at this. The prettiest ever look. I will never look prettier..

"Two wedding would actually be more. Like forty to fifty really. Here's why because when you have a number of like thirty or under it there. No one has an opportunity us any guest like really take a breather without anybody noticing. Okay not that. I wanted to clear everybody got along. Awesome and it was so fun but god forbid there was like two people that didn't like mesh well or something. Can you imagine how awkward that would have been like with like such as like it's so small you can't really avoid people. That's what i'm saying and so that's why i'm saying i'm singing. Ours was fantastic. I'm saying yeah in a perfect world of me consulting future people getting married. I would say the perfect number is fifty. That's not a that's not a good enough reason to invite twenty or thirty more people and that's a lot. That's w budget literally wolf when you say that. I wanna bar for myself. 'cause arguments speaking of our budget and i do wanna get into budget because our budget. We had a relatively low budget. Starting out at least for new york city standards. I will say this. I'm not gonna give hard numbers but The budget for my first wedding was a lot and our budget and being probably a fourth of both of us combined because we both contributed A fourth of that budget which is significant. That's but also but also we had twenty six people versus one hundred eighty people the fact that we still spent a fourth of it is it's a lot of it may be but we still. It was my house. I don't i don't know how people have like every i go to one hundred fifty people. I don't know how that's possible. I don't either. We did fifty percent of the stuff ourselves. Well maybe the towers and the lobster tails dinner may be pushed us over the edge now. That expensive green right. I don't know where we do. Not damn chairs you want. Nobody is it like if you you know if it is one hundred fifty you get like twenty percent off. I don't understand how these numbers lineup. We'll also we bought our own alcohol. People that know. No usually you're gonna venue make you just pay the bill. No they make you use their vendors like you have to use like at third well when they make you use x amount of vendor and so like they get the alcohol and the thing too is we're control freaks.

"Eat the catchweight by creating. But it was like i said and i kind of like the bitchy side of me coming up but i was like i paid for this wedding. I want to enjoy it. But it's like i did like and that's something that i think happens to a lot of brides and grooms grooms brides and brides. It's like you're so wrapped up in the hosting stuff that you don't even get to participate in the actual thing you've spent all your time and potential money on. I really do feel like you know for us. Having a small amount of a small amount of guests really helps but we had a small amount of gas for a handful of reasons. One was because of budget right so we need. We need to have a certain amount for a budget and also we to have a certain amount for our care day said if we went over twenty six they would not be able to cater what we had specifically wanted. He actually already had to cut some things that we want because we went over twenty like the pasta course. We really wanted. I know that sounds stupid. You're like people or pasta appetite for monthly so it wasn't even money it was like space and resources in asia with having a how much weight the debt could hold no. We can't possibly because it was too heavy for the deck fearful amount of people on the data. Like if we if we had gone over a number of people. My dad would have been freaking out. Yeah and other debt collapsing. Not that it would but he had you know he's all on a little bit. He's hosting us in his home. Yeah there were a lot of reasons. Well and i'm bringing this up the way i am because obviously feel guilty about the. We obtain were interviewed for a wedding outlet. That's all we're gonna say. Because i don't know if it's going to be out at the time this airs get But they asked us what the hardest part of wedding planning was and you because we were filling out like the interview and we were both.

"Catholic church to and tain both race cast like but you know we're like what does it cradle catholic or something is that the phrase cradle catholic. Yeah but i mean we still have catholic roots and we are big part of catholicism. Before you get married is counseling. It's like it's like mandatory in the church. But still and i think that that's really great. I three qena. I guess so. I think that's it. Yeah but i think it's important to like whether it's through a church of your choice or it's just through your own private commitment to each other. I think that going to premera. Counseling is actually should be like a part of the marital law prerequisite. I think it's important. Yeah and look at not. Everybody has like the luxury of waiting and some people. Don't have kids right away people. There's a there's a zillion different scenarios can't wait or they're moving or they're getting pressure by their families husbands. Go to point just going to get pressure but my mom even said to me this week and she was like oh. I'm so sorry. That i put pressure on you get married because i was living with. That was a no. No i was and it's like now. Yeah yeah then your kid gets married. Then they get a divorce and like i mean i wanna be clear. It's not my mom's fault at all. Okay mostly me was been fault and there's no shame around divorce because i mean i think everything happens for a reason so if you had have married was been. We probably never would've met. I don't think so it look everything. No i'm grateful. I really am grateful and like i gave you a lot of perspective and and made you who you are say. I'm very grateful to was been for a lot of things. He was a really nice husband his family and i just couldn't fucking get along and that was going to cost poems for my life but i wanna be clear like especially getting married to kind of made me think about not like i miss him like sexual way but in like i don't know i feel for him like who knows if he knows that we got married like i'm sure they know i'm sure. But but i don't think he was sniffing around. I think people probably shoving it down his throat but like i just wanted to say something nice about him. I like what's been i. I really do too and he really was. You know he did the best. He couldn't have really difficult situation as salm down walking down the street. I'd like one of them a hug. I don't know he wants to give me a hug. I like literally at the same way. Like i'm like well should. We call wants to be friends now. I don't think that's ever going to happen. But i just wanna be clear me. Really think the best of him. Which i know kind of sounds crazy. But that's just. That's how i feel. But i will say we did not know each other and we did not know our families and our family dynamics and the way everything was going to go down and that was i mean wedding. Planning is difficult enough when everybody is firing on all cylinders. So when she's not going well a wedding exacerbated and that's for sure okay so anyways so that's just like my two cents on waiting waiting until so i think that was huge waiting to have sex until marriage. Sorry next soldier whatsoever so no you said you said what did i do wrong. Which i think is interesting to see what i said. You're not producing the one. I am the captain now. This ship i told you. That's that's your two cents on waiting to have sex until marriage here. It was funny this the story of my entire life. I'm not kidding you..

I mean that's like a nightmare. I know so my heart goes out so like and that's why ultimately was not asked to come back for like a second season abacha's broddrick totally got but i learned a lot while i was there and then for us to literally have a completely opposite wedding wedding and there was a lot of. Diy involve which you don't think you're gonna artsy but it really was like i feel like i really can speak to every facet of the wedding industry at this point question please so you you mentioned your first marriage and you mentioned that you did things who me messy. My marriage just repetitive. Read over here. No you were married before so weird. You mentioned that you did things right and wrong. Yeah i know what you did wrong. What did you do right okay. Your feelings hurt rice. Or i can't help but compare and my father's daughter okay. My father's data motor dude dude literally the philly accent. The boss nex off water ice. So everything i did wrong. I corrected in this marriage guy or this wedding. I chose the person this time. Okay check who. I was incredible. And i also waited a very long time to get married. Which i i. It's not for everybody but for me. It's what i needed i. I'm glad we did. It took us. That took us that long to get our shit together. I think something so tan. I just finished white lotus. I don't want to spoil it for anybody. But there's like newly married couple and i think if you watch a show spoiler alert you can tell that she's grappling with her decision to marry this guy 'cause she's finding out things about him on their honeymoon that she does not like and i think part of the storyline was like very early established. They kind of rushed into it. Got they met. It was like fast love and then they kind of rushed into exactly. And so i mean with was binned. We daily year and a half and then we were engaged so nuts. Isn't that crazy like knowing me and looking back. Oh my god we were like strangers a year and a half in right. Yeah same girl. I mean we didn't speak the same language until like a year ago. Oh once him. And i were engaged. The masks through came off of everyone's face and i was like holy shit. I mean i was in panic mode. I was like what is going on like. I never talked to kelly. He's a he's a state employee in massachusetts. I think were on bank regulation and visually. He's a big balding white dude with a wearing a red tie and blue blazer in you know he was sort of on a bit of a role on jeopardy. He had one in fact three in a row which is pretty good. And i think with you know. Set to take home ballpark hundred thousand dollars. And in. after he won the first time on the second show he puts when they announced that he has already won one. He holds up a finger for once in the second time. On the beginning of the third show they not suggests already won twice. He holds up two fingers and then on the fourth show after his won three times. They nazis one three times in the up three fingers and what happened right away. Well he helped the fingers in kind of a weird way. He folded in his index finger in his thumb. Any kind of held them across his chest and a handful of people. A couple dozen people on twitter said that's weird. That's some kind of secret you know. White supremacist hand gesture. Or is that cunanan sign or what is that. It was a weird way of holding his hand and jeopardy contestants who are very earnest and very focused on jeopardy have their own private admission only facebook group only for contestants which is like a pretty cool honored to be part of.
