"And make it all right for men to listen to it and women to respect it because it's articulated in a way that's clear for them to know what we're dealing with. And what we're saying. And I think the 90s kind of found this way of doing that. There were artists that did it other than JB. Donnell Jones, you know, being in love with when you love someone, you just don't treat them bad. Now I feel so sad and not that I want to leave. She's crying her heart to me. How could you let this be? I just need time to think where I want to be. That's a conflict. Like living in this place of conflict is what I think we were really focused on with confessions. And every time me and JD worked together, you know, and it became a really a practice of all of the art that I've created. I make that. Like, what is that conflict? You remind me of a girl that I once knew. You don't have to call 'cause I'm out with my homies, I can't. You know, I'm gonna be all right. We broke up and I'm cool. I'm gonna keep it moving. I gotta get back on my feet. Confessions. I got a baby on the side. You know? I don't mind. You know, I'm looking at a girl in a stroke club. Like, I don't mind if you do what you do. I ain't got no judgment for you. You dance on the pole and they don't make you a ball. You know what I'm saying? All of those things are conflict. That you got it bad climax. I've reached a climax. This relationship. I know it's not going to be more than sexual. I get it. And I'm letting it be what it is. You got it bad. Let it burn. These are things that were real. I can't remember, you know, filming the emotions of like, I'm out of control. I can not deal with the emotional internal burning that I'm going through like I can't stop crying. I can't stop what I'm feeling. That's like a burning sensation. We wrote a song called burn. So living in or finding ways to articulate conflict is what is in those songs and what was in confessions. So just to wrap things up, you're working on a new record.

Who Is the Frontrunner in the Missouri Senate Race?

"I want to move to Nancy Pelosi's one 6th committee, but only after I get your assessment of the Missouri Senate race. I have been worried for months that Democrats were going to nominate along with the help of some rather innocent Republicans Eric Brighton. Now he is collapsing according to both Trafalgar and this morning Emerson looks like Eric Schmidt is going to be the nominee and what would have been a likely loss for the Republicans becomes a surefire win if Eric Schmidt is the nominee. How confident should I feel about Schmidt? Who I've endorsed being the nominee. I think you should feel pretty confident because I think there's a factor that kicks in when an election gets closer and that is the reality of a candidate actually winning gets closer and I think with grid and that is actually hurting him. And Republicans are really kind of terrified about repeating the mistakes in the Senate of 2010 O'Donnell Todd Aiken and Sharon angle mistakes. Which cost the Republicans the Senate. They had to wait till 2014 max when the Senate. So I think it's 50 50 now. They just have to get to 51. And I think they're pretty aware of that.

"Quick brain, your question for today is how do you improve your sleep? Now, we are actually shooting this at the biohacking conference where my guest and I are speaking. And I like to introduce everybody to the founder of happy, which is a wearable device that helps you everything with everything from focus to the topic of sleep. Scott Donald. Thanks for being here, buddy. Good to be here, man. Thanks for doing this in a random suite in the Hyatt regency Orlando. Well, you did amazing on stage. And so I'm looking forward to going deeper in your brain about sleep and being a serial entrepreneur having being at the head of multiple companies sometimes gone public it's easy for somebody to struggle with burnout that could really affect your sleep. Have you had challenges in the sleep area? Yeah, I mean, kind of embarrassing to talk about, but yeah, very much sleep. People think like when you're exhausted, you can sleep, but if you're stress exhausted, it's almost like a downward spiral. You're sleep gets hit and you know, sleep is the best nootropic ever created. And so, you know, when there's a lot of stress, you know, I think a lot of people can identify. I was thinking about work, thinking about all the companies when my head hit the pillow. And it was so difficult for me to let it all go. I didn't have any rhythms, this was a year ago. I had terrible rhythms. And no prompts and my mind would spin. And so maybe I'd pass out and then wake up an hour later, and I'd just be. And then I'm going and going and going and even if I wrote it down, I was spiraling. And then when you wake up the next day from a bad night of sleep, you're right back in the cycle. And so I'm brain fog. I can't be productive so so sleep, I would say has been one of my toughest challenges as an entrepreneur. But even with little kids, you know, we got three little kids under 5, someone cries, and then I'm thinking about work, even though I am asleep for two hours all of a sudden, I'm up, right? So my wife and I have this kind of joke, it's like, well, the baby cries after two or three. It's like, I'll take care of it because there's no way I'm going back to sleep. So there's so many tips and habits I've had to learn kind of out of survival mode just over the last couple of years. So yeah. It's a big deal. I'm looking forward to going in those senses, tips, and also talk about the technology. Some people are watching on video and I recommend also people tune in to YouTube because we put the full extended version there. Underneath your shirt, this device actually looks like your Iron Man. That's right. That was the inspiration was Robert Downey Jr. and Iron Man. You can turn the light off, but you want to make sure you have a cool glowing light. Yeah, well, I want to talk about the incredible technology and the four year or so patents that you have around it to help people to choose the way that they feel that they actually can choose focus. They could choose calm. They can even choose to be able to relax and have deeper sleep. And so what are some of the things before we go into the technology part? What are some of the things that you found worked for you? Because sleep for our community is very important because without sleep, you don't have long-term memory without sleep, you're not getting cleaning out the beta amyloid plaque that leads to brain aging challenges without sleep or not getting into those dream states where, you know, we can be creative and coming up with inspiration and inventions and things like that. Yeah. I think people talk about education and the best way people can learn well and learn quick is good sleep. There is no better drug you can take. There's no better system or strategy. You can deploy other than having really good sleep habits. And when you and I were talking, like, your habits are pretty, they're pretty, pretty simple, you know, so certain things. So where would you recommend our listeners? Where did you start? Okay, so there's different, there's different levels, right? There's sort of this setting, your environment. There's things you're going to ingest or not ingest be very careful of. And then there's the mental side too. You have to have a rhythm and a routine that puts you in sleep mode. It's time to sleep Scott. So when it comes to the simple setting, light is a big one. Trying to block out everything. I mean, we've blocked out any green light. You know, the old fashioned red alarm clock on the side of your bed or the blue alarm clock or green lights. I always do this right in the hotel room, I literally just whenever I get to a hotel room, I put the clock on its face or unplug it. There's no light coming in. Get as dark as you can possibly get it black shades are fantastic. Sleep masks work for a lot of people. So light is a big one sound is also huge. There's a little bit of controversy around white noise or pink noise. But something that can help trigger a parasympathetic safe response or noise is very, very important. So we live in Phoenix. There's a lot of people around. We are 5 houses down from like camelback road. So there is traffic and sometimes there's lights and alarms and sirens. But we've found that having a little bit of noise like a little bit of white noise helps a lot, especially if there's a kid that cries, you know, on the other side of the house, but it's only a minute cry and then they're fine, right? Right. Sleep training, we can talk about that for babies, but sound and light are two of the biggest ones. And even when you travel, you can control what, you know, you control the controllables. I actually travel with these little black little clips and then helps to close some of the curtains. That one little light that's in the middle of the curtain that always hits me if I don't do it right. You're right. So light and sound are two of the biggest ones. So what about in new messaging ingesting and non ingesting? Yeah. Some people with caffeine. You know, certain things stay in your system longer than others. That's which is why I love your technology. But talk about the foods that should people eat or avoid or not consume or. Well, everyone's different on diet, right? I love the bulletproof diet, I love, you know, plant based. I love vegetables, good foods, good proteins, like all that is good. But there's a couple of things you have to be really careful of, right? A strong nootropic, like a metformin or a caffeine or a nicotine or those things are all nootropic. They have positive, amazing benefits for your brain and your neurons in your body. But be very careful of that. I have a lot of friends who complain about bad sleep, but then they have a cigar. We're going to bed. I'm like, that doesn't actually get you ready for bed because nicotine is a nootropic. It's a stimulant at the end of the day. That's what that buzz is. A buzz of relaxation and stimulation. And so you have to be very, very careful. A good tea is good with a little bit of stretching or a little bit of yoga, absolutely writing down gratitude, sets your mind right. I would put even above anything you're ingesting or not ingesting to get your mind in the right space. For me, just because I'm always thinking about a million things, I can't shut up. I find for me it helps you to mitigate the rumination. You know, like where you're thinking about the bills or you're thinking about what's going on in the world. Those kinds of things because you have to maybe empty that cup.

"Every moment every breath we take we always have the choice to choose. Would your are. We going to go left or we're going to go right. Move forward or moved behind or go back in a lot of times people. Choose to go back. reality I see i see man words to the wise for sure and it sounds like some of the great instruction that you do in your workshops and speaking of your workshops can you can you share some of the benefits that Individuals and businesses have have gained from your workshops weather. It's As a coach. Something that you've Picked up that they've You know as far as benefit or something or benefit that they told you that. They've gained from your workshops. Of course like so like i alluded before i work with people who are really trying to make change within themselves also changed within the world but also you know these are oftentimes entrepreneurs in people with a dream and so one of my clients. He he really was one of those people that was kind of he was trying to like. I want i. I also very private. I got a little bit private about who they are. So china if i'm stumbling by words i'm trying not to give too much about what they are but But so he was in a place where he has a business and he was trying to branch out but he didn't really know how he doesn't have the business skills that But he had he was really good at you know helping public relations. He's in public relations. Also okay And he just didn't have the other the tools and some yet gaps earlier gaps in his business and so i was able to help fill some of those gaps and branch out and like within one month of working. Together we were able to identify new revenue stream. That brought him ten thousand dollars So that was just one example I've worked with organizations where i've really brought in like a strategic partners..

"Yes i do believe you can have a genuine connection those people but it's up to a point win if if that person says not only do i support trump. But i believe that who you are as a person is is wrong. I think that is really where we get to the place where. I'm not sure if we can ever have a genuine connection show. Or i may be able to show up who i am but you're never going to be able to show who you are because when we together i say if i have a get married right and i invite you to my wedding. You're not gonna come right right right. So that's not really a genuine connection to connection but it's not genuine right. Yeah no. I understand and excuse me for I just want to qualify the question. I asked and thank you for answering it i mean that. that's a. That's a great clarification. I really really appreciate that but for the sake of the listeners. And the sake of everyone i just want to kind of qualify my question by by basically stating that you know i love and respect everyone And their reason for who they support or for whatever side that they're on I never let that get in the way of any relationships that i have With with anyone and and everyone knows on this show. We don't talk about religion or we don't talk about politics and maybe that wasn't the best example to to give when it comes to Try just trying to you. Know give you an example of how to people may not agree on the same thing or align with their true selves. But how do they still establish that genuine connection. That may not have been the best example that i gave it was just one that came to mind and so you know for the for those were listening. I love and respect. Everyone's opinion for who they support for their own reasons as long as we love and respect one another so thank you for answering increase. Just just maybe one other analogy just really quickly to kind of cap this whole topic off. Sure if you are vegetarian. And i'm a meat eater. We can still sit down and have a meal right right play..

Jim Clyburn Has Some Explaining to Do

"Clyburn probably has some explaining to do. I'm quoting here from the washington post back in march of twenty or april first twenty twenty. Jim clyburn changed. Everything for joe biden's campaign in late february before the coming pandemic had begun to sweep the nation back in the democrat. Primary field was crowded and it looked like former vice president. Joe biden's campaign was hanging by a thread. Congressman james clyburn stood behind a lectern and began talking about fear. I'm fearful for the future of this country. The south carolina lawmaker said three days before south carolina's primary while urging votes for biden. I'm fearful for my daughters and their children and their children and their children's future weeks later clyburn was less anxious reports. The washington post his emotional endorsement of biden as the democrats proper antidote. For the era of president trump had earned clyburn the title kingmaker another notch in a long career that has made him the highest ranking african american legislator on capitol hill. Yeah he's he's got another notch. Alright he's also got some explaining to do anybody who voted for joe biden. This is the result of your catastrophic decision back in november. I hope you're happy. "News had a great analysis. How biden has repeatedly implied that. It's his handlers. Who set the rules and determine when and where he's allowed to take questions from the media leading observers to ponder who is actually calling the shots. I'm not supposed to take any questions. I've been instructed. Remember last week when he said they gave me a list here. I was instructed to call on kelly o'donnell and then he said back in june as usual. They gave me a list of reporters. "Here's yesterday. Jim queue up for me. Cut one, if if you don't mind. Here is a top U. S diplomat in the region under the Biden administration, Ross Wilson, who was telling nor O Donnell on CBS. That if Americans get stranded, it's their fault. They're preparing not to take our people out, folks. They are preparing for narrative narrative damage control right now, listen to this year, they left our people behind and they're getting prepared right now. As I warned you yesterday and earlier in the week to blame them for doing it. Check this out. The question has been raised. Why didn't the U. S? Get out Americans and are Afghani friends before the Taliban were able to take control of Kabul. You warned about this in a cable were you ignored? We put out repeated warnings every three weeks to Americans going back to I think, March or April, each one in stronger terms. Leave now leave immediately. Never In my 40 years of working since I began working at the State Department, have I seen such strong language used People chose not to leave. That's that's their business. That's their right. We regret now that that many may find themselves in a position that they would rather not be in, and we are determined to try to try to help. You see it? This is disgusting. This is the worst. Uh, this is really For even the most hardened among us who expect nothing of politicians, swamp rats and diplomats. I have to tell you, this is a new low. This is just straight up malfeasance, not misfeasance. This is the difference between not helping someone up off the sidewalk and when they try to get a punching them in the face.

So anyway i i love a good manhattan once in a while but i i will cut back right and so instead of three or more. I'll have one. Miss that i love. I unfortunately don't do it while talking because it makes my eyes water and a good blow my nose. After but i do various forms of nicotine say i get up and i have a coffee and then i run the happy signal. That's mimicking that molecule. I was thinking that it was like cancelling itself out. But you can actually kinda just double the effect or you know whatever the metric of multiplication is there. Yeah you can extend the feeling so yeah. It just depends on receptor sites. So let's run through. I want to open the app here for those again. That are watching the video red phone but you have like a we gave you got your audience discount as a gift. Yeah they're real easy There's a lot of basic first aid kits the size of wallets that you can carry. That have just real basic things. Even if you get stung by being are allergic. I mean there's things you can bring with that like. I said the ultimate goal is time by yourself more time because the longer you can stay alive the better chance that searchers are gonna find you So we'll have to do an episode. I'd love to get a survival expert on.

"Sure and he just happened just fell into an area that for whatever reason is not very searchable or he hit his head knocked out in the river washed out but yeah i think the third one no foul play. I think. I think some kind of accident definitely happened. And a lot of these cases. I think probably some days something will be found. I really hope so because you always read about how you know. Obviously the families already devastated distraught over. What's happened but i've never experienced this. Because i've had a lot of loved ones die but like you get to go to the funeral and that's a very important grieving process. I cannot imagine having a loved one. That's just gone in like we get perplexed when we're talking like the last case it's bugging me and it's not even someone i know i know. Can you imagine if someone you have a deep love for family. My brothers sisters yet like someone you like deeply love and there's a sorry not gone. Yeah like that's that's awful. It's gotta be torture. Yeah so like. I always terrible like when when paul's when paul's remains got found i felt a sense of relief for the family and then we talked to his his sister who is out there searching with her husband from canada and she even wrote back. She's like word. Glad that there's closure like it's almost like a relief like it's terrible but like okay. We have answers we can start to slowly. Move on yeah. It's like the fear of the unknown if they haven't been found your you have that creeping sense like what if they're still out there. What if yeah like what happened. What if we're failing them not finding them because there's a possibility they could be found in. You can imagine like. I would never wanna stop looking. Because you feel like you've failed on the other thing is just a hiker of these parks. Now that we've been doing these cases it is a little unsettling when you're hiking through glacier yosemite or yellowstone or any of these big parks and you just sit back and think about wow..

"Yeah and if you're off trail where you're supposed to be. I can't picture anyone finding you. So like i don't know if that's a thing but like i'm terrified like these random like out of the over go hiking alone ever. That's always look where you're walking. Yeah that too seriously though. But like i think about that i think about like okay. There's these crazy cave systems like sinkholes exists like are there areas. That just have been worn down over time. And there's millions of acres were no one has ever stepped a single foot or at least in the last hundred years and if you just put the wrong way in the wrong spot you're in a crash like what was like a foot of soil. You just open up a new hole in the bottom of some cave and you're you're done. Yeah no i mean i. That's kind of my theory wasn't exactly the cave system but the same kind of thought process of something happens. Like maybe he had to navigate a narrow section down to the river that had some deep drop-offs on both sides and he trips and falls. Sure and he just happened just fell into an area that for whatever reason is not very searchable or hit. His head knocked out in the river then washed out. But yeah i think The third one no foul play. I think. I think some kind of accident definitely happened. And you know a lot of these cases. I think probably some days something will be found. "Yeah that's it's such a weird way to communicate in a modern times twenty fourteen if it was like nineteen ninety-four exactly then it's like okay. Maybe but even then like you're writing a letter to say i'm gonna go to toews yelich do something for a day and who knows if that had some kind of meaning with her friends like when they read it they're like oh no or maybe they sent random letters to each other like. Maybe maybe they like. Hey this is one doing this week. That could be normal to me. I'm looking at it without knowing the personal dynamic of that front group but given the fact that it was mentioned that she had the financial problems. You only say something like that if it's significant that it's impacting their life. That it's worth mentioning. Yeah so i look at that. She's a restaurant owner. Lot of pressure on her. I'd like to think that maybe she went there to reset. And maybe there's foul play involved. But i think i one. I'd say foul play second one. She went there to harm herself for foul. Play third one. I don't know. I feel like maybe an accident. It's too bad is phone was powered down. Maybe ran out of battery or something. Because you could tell they there would have been able to triangulate his position. Yeah if he had his phone on. I don't know in the last one. I'm just trying to think if if you're fishing what are the odds of you. Being washed onstream but not finding the body in that area. I don't know if say he was fishing and had a heart attack and fell into the water and got washed away. Yes the body will be potentially washed out of the search area but somebody downstream will eventually find that find the remains. Yeah it's not like it's gonna stay in a stranger point forever I mean the fact that it it happened in two thousand sixteen. Perhaps it just hasn't been found yet. I i don't know a lot about this river. And i guess i should've looked in. I should do a little show. Well there there are areas you know. There are areas of the river that you can whitewater raft. Obviously he's not fishing there. Yeah but if we're going to go with that maybe swept up. He had a heart attack collapsed floating downstream then got into some rapid things like that maybe he could be like against a boulder and rapid..

"And you know are nice to and will make small talk with them so maybe she was making small talk with this patient and told him. Oh you know. i really like your semi. I'm going up there this weekend to go shopping. And maybe he abducted her and then well and if. He said he heard she'd been found. Yeah where did you hear that from. And why would you come into work and say that if it's not true reaching out like sometimes he likes involving themselves in the case. Because they're part of it. I don't know i mean there's obviously a good chance of foul play happening at the the vista. Maybe somebody. I don't think it would be robbery because her wallet was left in the car and car was their personal belongings. Were still there. Take your stuff. So i mean it could have been someone that could have been a serial killer kind of you know. We've i think that's always a we've talked in previous episodes that i don't think we give those theories enough weight when we are thrown around theories. There there's a lot of you know weird stuff that happens out there. Maybe there is more of serial killers lurking than we think know. I think it's foul play. I don't know. I don't know you know the polygraph. Failing a polygraph i think he's a prime suspect. I would put it in that bucket. Yeah it's interesting that the police must have had you know. They didn't have enough evidence to actually charging with something. So a lotta times. Graphs are not considered very you. Can't i mean there's been cases where people will fail polygraphs and then be proven completely innocent still because if you're questioned hard enough people start believing things. So they've even proven some cases if you're sitting in a room for fifteen hours being questioned by police they can get. You signed confessions. They can get you to believe you did something you do. And your later proven to be innocent. So i think that's the only reason that they don't use polygraphs as like a good means of Oh we should get this guy. They probably need other stuff. Yeah no so yeah. I think it was a foul play. So let's say yeah. Let's go gone patricia. Soto tolhurst in twenty fourteen so patricia. Or patty sue. Tolhurst is forty eight years old. Was the owner of petty shack. A restaurant eastern sonora. She was last seen in twain. Harte on april eighteenth. Two thousand fourteen on april twentieth. She sent a mailed letter to some friends saying she was going to go to kennedy meadows to put her feet in the water on april twenty second. Her white toyota forerunner was found abandoned at donald vista. Point on highway one away. Tolhurst person other belongings. Were inside the car. Her loved ones stated. She was having financial problems and may have been distraught over them at the time of her disappearance. A search lasting over seven days yielded no clues to patty's whereabouts and her case remains unsolved. Thomas f kelly. Which is patty's father said. Patty has had been raised in the bay area but always had a fascination with nature. She loved that whole area up there ever since she was very young. He said she liked everything ahead to do with the outdoors. She'd never been heard from again. So there's not a lot of details on this case but basically it was two days from the last time. She was seen that she went there. And you know the first one was two thousand and five. Yeah so internet. Still kinda new in twenty fourteen. She's sending a letter to friends saying she's gonna go put feet in the water. That seemed a little odd to me like mailing a letter. Sam going to do something because it's gonna take what three days to get to somebody. Yeah unless what's the point sending that letter..

They were not 20,000 people in the dear district, and I'm not just talking about last night when the rain and the threat of more storms was prevalent a lot of people yes. Lot of people I was in the area I think was before Game three against the Nets. It took me a good 20 minutes just to go east on Juno from State Street to Old world Third. That's one block 20 minutes. There were that many people walking around getting ready for the game, but to say 20,000 people in a block and a half as little Circus parade esque, don't you think? 907. I'm Dave Michaels in for Dan O Donnell. This is the Daniel Donald show. Remember, we get those ridiculous numbers. I was talking with Doug Russell, who was producing the show today. Three quarters of a million people are in downtown Milwaukee. The entire metro areas about six of another. The city of Milwaukee itself is 600,000 people. That math never made sense back then, and it sure as heck doesn't make sense now, so while visually the dear district looks great on TV, it's awesome to see so many bars in the area, get some much needed business or not. Punch bowl Social obviously, which has been open since March. They can't find workers which will get into here. Momentarily. But that number isn't isn't isn't realistic. Fun to watch. In my case comfortably on my couch at home, and I'm okay with that chance to win $1000 in the sizzling summer cash contest. Maybe you could buy two standing room only tickets for Game six. I hear they were going for 500 Bucks apiece Last night. A good buddy of mine lives in Columbus, Wisconsin. That's just outside of Madison. Big Bucks fan. He paid 500 bucks. One. You can't even say seat. You don't get a seat. One ticket to get into visor form 500 bucks to go to last night's game. Driving from Columbus was guys are good for him. I'm guessing if the Bucks do win Game five in Phoenix. The tickets would be even higher. Can you imagine? Possibility of clinching the NBA Finals on your home court. That's what would happen if the Bucks win Saturday night Game six, of course, which there will be no matter what in Milwaukee standing room only will be it'll probably more expensive than 500 bucks a pop, but this would help $1000 If and when you text the word smile s m I l e. Chip Crisis in 'Danger Zone' as Wait Times Reach New Record

"Our lead story today is one of demand and supply in that order. The commodity in question is semiconductors. The demand as we'll explain is nearly universal the supply well it's lagging and more so every day bloomberg got its hands on some data from the susquehanna financial group that says if you order a chip today the aforementioned semiconductors you're going to have to wait seventeen weeks for it to be delivered. Four plus months that is to put it mildly no way to run a supply chain. And as marketplace's samantha field reports. It is doing damage to way more than cars or computers or smartphones. These days almost everything has a chip whether we think of it as high tech or not. If it has a plug or battery probably has chips in it glenn. O'donnell research director at forrester says that includes refrigerators video. Doorbells and light bulbs you can turn on with your phone and even lower tech things like kids toys because all the toys gotta talk now and they got to react and they have little motors right. Now there's a shortage of all kinds of chips. Even the most basic ones says china vasan an analyst at bloomberg intelligence for. It doesn't matter if it's one hundred dollars or fifty cent part. There's just not enough capacity at factories around the world to meet the demand from all of the industries. That need chips because there's such a shortage. The semiconductor industry is having to pick and choose what to prioritize says. Mario morales at market research company. Idc it's for prioritizes. The large scale lear is like computing. Mobile phones is the largest market so though supply chains are always going to get priority and other companies especially smaller are going to have to wait longer for chips so shrine of austin at bloomberg says if you need something like a new appliance anytime soon even if you don't care about it being smart all of those products will be in. Short supplies are investigating line and shrim- boston says the shortage is likely to get worse before it gets better

Riot Games Loses Alienware as LoL Partner, Denies Allegations Towards CEO

"So we need to talk about Ride game CEO and the allegations against him on the dreams and the sports minute from E Sports Network have to say my last two weeks in the show. Certainly haven't been overly wage doesn't and today is no different. Here's the background on January 7th. Former Ride Games employees Sharon O'donnell filed a lawsuit against her former boss right game CEO Nicola rent in that lawsuit O'Donnell alleged that Lorenz had created a hostile work environment and had fired her after she denied his sexual advances among other issues that lawsuit is still ongoing but this week sought a big piece of news around it. The first was Alienware a major partner of the Legends Esports cutting its deal with Riot games short. According to Jacob Wolfe now at. E sports that deal was set to continue through January 8th 2022, but Alienware wanted to terminated ten months early wolf also has reported that ride games image impacted by allegations like the ones with the rent as well as the ongoing discrimination lawsuit home. And the neon controversy of the last summer played an important part in Alien, we're leaving the deal early right games is still in that lawsuit with many former female employees around sex discrimination in the workplace is an issue that came to light with the Kotaku article from 2018 Ride Games is currently focusing legal efforts in that case on pushing the lawsuit to arbitration the neon controversy centered around right about accepting a sponsorship from a new city in Saudi Arabia at faced immediate backlash from fans casters and parts of the community do to Saudi Arabia's poor record on human rights in a variety of different areas. But the most topical impact on Ride Games image is those allegations towards threat yesterday right games announced that the right games board found no wrongdoing by the rent and recommended no sanctions following a third-party investigation the recommendation of no sanctions came from three people doing the investigating of a law firm to review of the allegations that law firm was hired by Riot but it was not the same Law Firm that is representing them in the case against O'Donnell the three people reviewing the law firms report were young May Moon a Harvard Business School professor and part of riots board as well as two unnamed male c-level Executives at 10 sent the Chinese company that owns Riot for his part. Loretta has denied the allegations in a company-wide email while O'Donnell's lawyers have pledged to follow this up in court.

Trump acquitted in impeachment trial; 7 GOP Senators vote with Democrats to convict

"Historic day in washington today a majority of senators including seven republicans voted to convict former president trump on the charge of inciting an insurrection on january. Six never before have so many senators cross party lines to convict a us president but it was not enough and president. Trump will hold the distinction of being the only president impeach- and acquitted twice but the trial. Tonight's vote revealed deep divides both across the country and within the republican party. Now both will try to move forward. We're covering all of it tonight. We begin with casey hunt on capitol hill former president. Donald trump tonight declared not guilty at the impeachment charge. He incited insurrection. At the capitol on january six is hereby acquitted of the charge instead article seven. Republican senators voting with democrats to convict fifty seven to forty three. The most bipartisan senate. Impeachment vote in history but far short of the two-thirds majority needed to convict forty. Three republicans voted not guilty including republican leader. Mitch mcconnell but mcconnell still offered a blistering indictment of trump's action or that impeachment was never meant to be the final forum for american justice. President trump is still obel for everything he did while he was in office. The former president defiant in a statement calling the trial a witch hunt and insisting our historic patriotic and beautiful movement to make america. Great again has only just begun the vote coming just over a month after rioters invaded the capital and took the very chamber where the vote was held. Then vice president pence to safety as he was hunted in the halls senators casting their votes tonight from desks. That were ransacked by the rioters. After then president trump said he would walk to the capital with them. We fight fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell you're not gonna have a country anymore. The final moments donald trump's historic second impeachment trial playing out. after a day of missteps and confusion. The debate is not an order at the last minute house. Managers unexpectedly calling to subpoena a witness to explain how the top house republican leader called president trump on the sixth to beg for his help. The president said well kevin. I guess these people are more upset about the election than you are case. This was the shortest impeachment trial ever. That's right jose. And they didn't call witnesses today in part because members of both parties were anxious to move on many republicans. Wanna put the trump era behind them and democrats want to focus on president. Biden's corona virus relief package to speed vaccine distribution and send more stimulus checks to americans. They're racing to pass that bill before. Unemployment benefits expire for millions in mid march. Jose hundred the capital. Thank you throughout the trial. There was a sense that there were not enough. Republicans to convict but more ended up voting guilty than expected leading to more questions about the future of the party and the former president. Here's kelly o'donnell mr cassidy not enough to convict but enough to make history seven. Republicans turned away from donald trump. north carolina's richard. Burr retiring next year. Surprised colleagues mr burr. Mr guilty six others had signalled their intentions straw. Ni guilty the most ever to vote to convict a president of their own party. If trial by impeachment is ultimately political theater what is the next act for republicans and a twice acquitted former president. Who today gets to his freedom to run again. We love you. We will be back in some form while. Republicans protected mr trump. Gop leader mitch. Mcconnell welcomed the prospect of criminal charges against the former president as the better venue for justice didn't get away with anything. Mcconnell also suggests trump voters are being unfairly held hostage are ex-presidents associates. Have tried to use the seventy four million americans who voted to reelect him as a kind of human shield against criticism. Trump's arden's allies may keep up threats to purge any republicans who backed impeachment like house. Republican conference chair lays cheney who already beat back one challenge to her leadership post. Who says you can't stand up against boyce. Who says in my mind was a hero for standing up for the truth.

Riot Games CEO Faces Lawsuit Alleging Sexual Harassment, Misconduct

"Games CEO has been accused of sexual harassment and misconduct by a former employee and they're investigating internally. I'm at dreams and this is the Esports minute from you Sports Network racking said money issues with gender discrimination in the workplace starting with a 2018 article published by Kotaku that detailed the culture of sexism it right games developer has basically been in court the entire time multiple lawsuits have been filed against the company and one lawsuit was settled out of court for ten million dollars and I think most people thought that was the end of it but after being examined by California state agencies found that the woman might be entitled to as much as four hundred million dollars. So the women pulled out of the ten million dollar settlement then they got new legal counsel. And now they're back in court. The ten million was not paid out and the case has not been settled that case is still ongoing with Ride Games trying to push more women into arbitration and prevent a jury trial but last month another case was opened up against the wage. Sharon O'donnell vs riot games, Nicolas Le rent or rent is the CEO of Riot Sharon O'donnell was a former executive assistant for the company who worked closely with the rent during her time O'Donnell accuses the rent of creating a hostile work environment with allegations of unwanted sexual advancements demeaning comments about O'Donnell's femininity and termination for not reciprocating his advancement Riot games naturally disputed that characterization of her termination. There are specific grievances in the filing. I cannot go over them all in this format, but they include the page as you know, Donald whether she could quote handle him when they were alone at his house and quote and there were also according to O'Donnell questions about her underwear according to the lawsuit when O'Donnell refused became angry started removing work responsibilities and eventually terminated her contract right game says that O'Donnell was terminated after over a dozen complaints from employees and external p.m. There's no ride games claim to be changing their culture for the better after that Kotaku article the rent even published a blog post titled the buck stopped with the CEO where he pledged to do better off clearly Riot games has not worked through all of their issues with this case and the other one that is still ongoing. We will update you more on this show as these cases progress.

Cases of Flu Are Down Globally

"Job. Maybe next time you're here you can present. That would be getting green jobs. So i'm just asking when that happened. Richard trumka who is a friend longtime friend of joe biden says about that day one eastone. He says i wish he. The president has paired that. Were carefully with the thing that he did. second by saying. Here's where we are creating jobs. So there's partial evidence from richard trumka. Well you didn't include all of his interview. Would you like to include. How about this. The international union of north america said the keystone decision will cost one thousand existing union jobs and ten thousand projected construction jobs. Well what mr trump. Also indicated in the same interview was that president biden has proposed a climate plan with transformative investments and infrastructure and laid out a plan that will not only create millions of good union jobs but also helped tackle the climate crisis. That guy was peter doocy from fox news and i always hate his questions because he takes four ever to get to the point he just beats around the bush because his conscience is fighting him the whole time and at least that's what it seems like. It's like that tiny little part of them that still has morals and ethics is trying to tell him. He's being deceiving and a bad journalist. But pete here just wants at fox news money one of the more unexpected biden policies. I would say. Just because. I never thought he would actually do. It is that he announced on friday. That trump wouldn't be eligible to receive intelligence briefings anymore. This is the first time that a former president has been cut out of these briefings. But we've never truly had a president trump have we biden explained in that norah o'donnell interview saying quote. I just think that there's no need for him. To have the intelligence briefings. What value is giving him. An intelligence briefing. What impact does he have at all other than the fact that he might slip and say something and he also said that has shown quote erratic behavior. Well that certainly the polite way to say that. He's been acting crazy honestly if he didn't read them well he was president. Why should he get them now. I mean the way. I imagine it. They practically had to create puppet shows and plays to get him the information that was in those briefings like they probably had to act it out for him. The man doesn't or possibly can't read so the story here as promised is about the flus really bad year sir remember. I talked a couple weeks ago. About how bad well not. How bad how good for us it was that. This year's flu season is almost nonexistent. In that was in new york city as it turns out that sort of the case. Globally this reporting from the atlantic followed a doctor from the mayo clinic in rochester minnesota. And they just sort of talked it over with them. What they're seeing in. Why we might be seeing this really good flu season for us. He said on december first that they began testing all patients with respiratory symptoms for covert and the flu so thousands and thousands of these tests have turned up positive for covid but out of the twenty thousand flu tests that they've run which is ten times. The usual number zero have come back positive for the flu since early fall. Eight hundred thousand flu tests in the. Us have been done and only fifteen hundred have been positive. That's point two percent for context. That's about one hundred times so last year. We had a hundred times more cases at this time when we had done. Eight hundred thousand tests back then. The flu positivity rate was anywhere between twenty and thirty percent twenty and thirty percent a lot of other respiratory viruses have disappeared as well well disappeared in quotes because they're still out there somewhere including ones for the common cold. Obviously the reason for this is the number of restrictions and precautions that we've had to put in place social distancing masks etc and all of those help because the regular flu and covid spread in pretty much the same ways however covert spreads more easily because it can be passed on by people who don't even have symptoms in front example just look at all these super spreader events. That didn't happen before. It's not like if you went to the movie theater and just anyone had the flu. You al- suddenly got the flu. There are also differences at the macroscopic level. Like how it sticks to the particles that we exhale when we breathe or talk like cova sticks more easily so is easier to transmit of course doctors

It's great to be back. I didn't make engage Thailand band, but you had a good time today in Dadar did, and it's a portion of heavy back in the driver's seat once again on such because I watched from the distance. As you may or may not be aware. I don't get folks hillsdale's any watching the edited all lights. It was a Donut performance by triple eight of both days. Qualifying one two's both days races, the Qasr certainly had massive speed and they did they usual thing which something that have been doing for some years. And of course, now back on top of the championship with Shane grabbing that lay there with a second Bryce on Sunday, and one thing of coming up in the weeks ahead spoken at length with mocked up in the belt, the satisfaction of going to a new trek like that and having that sort of success that certainly if it's not next week, it'll definitely be the week after on the show just before we go into what he's on the show this week. Interesting to see that the Team Penske were floundering, almost certainly in was no way Scotty was doing his best. But really not making much of an inroad into things. It was the worst and first of all, rhodium since humble, she in two thousand sixteen. So that's a long time for them to of now former met distance. The other very obvious thing was the Spade. The Bayrak has now, obviously, to degree that's echoing the Zayd, be performance of the triple eight guys. Great to see Brad and came with a pair of drivers in an of course, running four cars in the main game this weekend, but to save Nick and Tim in the top five, that was a fantastic result. It wasn't a Tim slide mentioned early in the wakened that the Bayrak has do like that super smooth, low deg taught of rice trek, which is exactly what we head tail and bend. So I guess he was extremely disappointed on Saturday when the result didn't come his, why that he was expecting after good pay some Friday. And then as you said, bench. Back with both.
