"And I was up underneath the rack. He was laying on its side, right and crawled, but underneath that broken glass and I got enough in there. Was there any way to get the two out? Well, here's the problem. You don't know the extent of your injuries. And you can actually do more harm if you try to move it. Investigators are just trying to piece together what led up to this crash. They do believe that speed was a factor. The owners of the Joker pub and grill in issaquah had a big mess to clean up this morning. The front smashed by thieves who made off with the ATM inside, leaving behind thousands of dollars in damage to truck, backing up around three 30 this morning, a blue truck into the front of the building. They smashed right in. It looks like there were several people involved in this theft. They tie something around the ATM inside, then try to yank it out of the building. It takes a couple of tries, but eventually that machine does come flying out the front of the building with the cable going flying as well. Then the thieves take off, we're told they went northbound on east Lake Sammamish Parkway. This family owned business already going through a lot right now. The owner's son tells us that his dad and mom owned this pub together for many years and his father recently passed away so the family has been dealing with that. This is the latest in a rash of ATM theft just like this one. Thieves typically use a stolen vehicle. That's come before us there in zone. And at 6 40, let's get a Beacon plumbing sports update from Bill Schwartz. Let's get physical. That's the theme for game two, the kraken stars playoff series tonight's. The Seattle at Dallas series opener was wide open a 6 goal first period and the visiting team netted the game winner in overtime. What type of game two tonight does kraken forward Ryan Donato anticipate? I didn't feel like they're gonna come out flying a lot more physical than they were last game and

on Bloomberg radio Thanks for joining us on Bloomberg intelligence We're here each and every week Tapping into our Bloomberg intelligence analyst covering some 2000 companies 130 industries worldwide the next company on our list today needs no introduction Let's talk Warren Buffett and Berkshire Hathaway And what the company's earnings last week say about its outlook insurance is a big part of Berkshire's portfolio of course Matthew Palazzo covers the insurance industry for Bloomberg intelligence and joins us now Matthew thanks so much for joining us You were out in Omaha a couple weeks ago for this investor day which I guess I haven't done it in a couple of years because of the pan pandemic Tell us about what it's like to go to one of these you know Warren Buffett events So it's an interesting experience Paul I have not been there before It's a big Warren Buffett Berkshire Hathaway love fest I think the investor base there is a lot of retail investors There's a big shopping component to it Okay so what are some of the messages you took out of Omaha I mean where is she putting the money It's interesting I saw that he took a big stake in Activision That one surprised me because when I think of Warren Buffett I don't think of gaming Yeah I don't think you're going to see him at the arcade but it was really just an arbitrage play One of his investment deputies actually took a position in it before the Microsoft bid and he then looked at it a little more closely and evaluated the deal He thinks it's going to go through so he just sees it kind of as free money Where else besides gaming I think Chevron popped up as another investment where they're putting some capital to work So what he did was very interesting They put a lot of money to work in the quarter It's $41 billion of net equity purchases in the quarter And about half of that was in Chevron And going into the quarter we had said look inflation's coming maybe he's a little afraid of that And maybe he would buy some sort of inflation hedges and it looked like he did put that money to work inflation hedge and energy suck Still over a $100 billion as I understand it kind of on the books that's cash that can be invested any hint Did you glean from this event about where they may be looking They're pretty cagey about where they're going They actually bought more apple as well So they tend to stick to their knitting He didn't really give any clue as to what they're doing I would definitely think things they're used to energy stocks they're used to but he keeps it close to the best They still have the big stake in which railroad is it Burlington northern That's one of their biggest businesses That's one of the biggest businesses Okay People love get Buffett's take on the economy take on range trades Did he talk about inflation because that's certainly the big big topic that corporate America is dealing with And again consumers are dealing with It was less of a topic than I thought it was going to be Because they take questions from retail investors I don't think they got a lot He got one or two but he basically will say inflation I don't know where it's going to be we're kind of positioning I think a lot more goes on behind the scenes than he lets on Activision is one thing The other big topic that another huge topic in the financial markets is just crypto broadly defined Bitcoin however you want to play it I can't imagine Warren Buffett and the folks at Berkshire Hathaway have much appetite for crypto Is there ever talked about what he thinks about that whole space So him and vice chairman Charlie Munger are kind of notoriously anti crypto I believe they called it rat poison squared in the way But he had a great analogy which I thought don't send.

"Actually have animals that were extremely injured where we've, uh taken and we've actually health would you know regenerative nerves being able to see through? I The an eye that you shouldn't be able to see through. So we've done some miracles. But you're absolutely right. We don't. Um, take money. We don't do anything. As far as for for profit, we just do it as far as they're out of our heart. To try to help. But the other thing is, I think we do have a little bit of a hell in touch. Because there's some things that doctors have come out and told us that they were totally surprised. We've taken the same animal been for several visits. Where they shouldn't have been alive would like I said, cancer or anything, you know that's very, very deadly, and we've brought them out where they completely healthy, and it's not just once many times, But as far as talking about demonic feelings with, um People out there. I see it. I can tell because there are times at one point where whenever my family tried to get in touch with us. Something happened or the animals kind of go crazy just from them trying to get in touch with us in there and we try to break it off, and so far we've been okay, but it's been very hard. But we've Seen. We know it's out there. So just to, you know, let you know in that portion of the deal. Thanks. First time testimony there, Adam. So at the beginning there did you say you come from a family involved in black magic? I'm not. I'm not sure I caught that right? Yes, my. I didn't really Pay much attention, but I come from a family of deals in in black magic, which I guess blind to it. Um, but I've seen things that they've done as far as later on. There are things that have happened where You know, we've had friends who had gifts who had told us certain things that they only knew from singing us which we put together, me and my wife. They hadn't wanted me to kind of have my own life. I guess because with me and my wife was kind of a storm couple as far as with the healing and being able to help and they don't want that because of that. They've actually tried to curse us. They've done a lot of things. It's been a little hard. I'm not going to lie to you. But I know for a fact because we've seen and I've had family members who have actually done it. I've also had an uncle who have done as you said some miracles. He was good. I guess that's part of the family is not good and part of family that is good, including parts of being able to literally communicate with animals. Things that were you know, he would ask if an animal to do including and settlement into the house, you know, without killing them. And they would literally not come into the house. They would literally, you know, not come in, and they portions of the house and stay outside. I mean, I've seen these things if I hadn't seen, I would say I, You know, that's the social deal. But these are things that not only I have seen, but I've had a few friends that have actually seen these things as well. Animals are pretty sensitive, Adam, aren't they to the spirit world? Yes. So there's Some are some some, maybe not as much. But yes, I've heard stories of some Christian deliverance groups that had dogs that seem to be really sense of spirit that they would have a deliverance sessions. And they would see the dog's reaction when the spirit was cast out as if it was chasing something like to the door of the window. I've heard stories like that. I've also seen cases with, you know, demonic cases in homes where the animals are affected by those spirits kind of driven a little crazy or Into violence as part of the torment of the family. So yes, um they some are very sensitive to it. And the demonic certainly does mess with them sometimes. Bob and Corpus Christi, Texas. Welcome to the show. Hey, Bob, Go ahead, sir. Georgia there? Yeah. Okay? Yes, calling from the body of Christ. And I believe things happen for a reason. And I believe in the power of prayer. My question is About six years ago, I was bringing my home my my son home from a baseball game. It was about midnight. And I saw this. Terrific light. It was a it was in the floor like an egg shape. Type of Severe, um I know it wasn't the moon. I know what the moon looks like. It was. I mean, completely white. And I was traveling down. It was the most Exhilarating. Uh, Of saying I ever found my life and my kids kind of tease me about it that it was, you know, um four, but it didn't move. It was Just this brilliant light. Um, it was, Yeah, Amazing. And my question is The next day, I learned or somebody had said that there was that was the Northern star that we hadn't seen over 200 years. I don't know how legitimate that was. But it was something that had never seen in my life. And I know it wasn't the moon. If Adam could explain that if he knows anything about it, Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. I mean, of course, I can't know for sure What you saw there. Um, a lot of great celestial events, though, Adam Uh, yeah. Yeah. And I would say in terms of, you know, if you're wondering if that was something spiritual and miraculous, I think One of the best judgments of things is the fruits that come from them. So if you have a strong or a strange experience like that, and the fruits are good if it draws you closer to God, and it brings you peace. That's a good sign that it's likely a good thing. And if it brings confusion, and if it brings distress, that's that's a sign that it's a bad thing. So I would say I chalk it up to. That was an interesting experience. And if it was from God God will eventually reveal why that was shared with you. And if it was just something odd or random. Then it will just be on the shelf in your life is Hey, I had that experience and I can't explain it. A lot of people have those things on the shelf. You know, something happened in life. That they can't explain. But I would say judge things by their fruits and and that requires, you know, given it time and see how it plays out. Let's go to New Jersey. Donatos with us. Hi, Donato. Go ahead. George and Adam. Thank you very much for taking the phone call thing. I wanted to ask Adam about Fatima in particular, and there's an excellent book that just came out. Just reading right about has been so far. The impostor. Sister Lucy, by Mike means it's available on Amazon. And, you know, this is more than a good third or fourth book on this topic regarding what equipment appears to be very clear evidence that there is an imposter sister Lucy. That came about after 1960. I wanted to know your thought Adam because the more I study, it's more. It seems so clear to me. For many, many reasons, starting with just the visual aspect If you hold to vote of the two women side by side, clearly two different people. I wanted to know your thoughts all on and just really quickly. You mentioned ST Michael Dark Angel as a traditional Catholic. We always say that prayer at the end of the trading team Mass. And I try to incorporate that prayer or daily basis because it is an exorcism. Whatever. Well, okay, so.

It makes a point of showing the often exemplary lives they've built in the decades since the crime they're caught up in This season. Each of the main suspects has also been warped by growing up in a difficult family, and the show takes time to show sympathy for each to give them all a destiny not wholly defined by a long ago murder. This is even true of the season's best and most daring character, Ram Sidhu. Having grown up a target of racial hostility. He's internalized an angry sense of grievance that puts him on the attack with everyone except his brother and wife. That's your typical gamer in the U. S. Who knew who knew? Although I was really excited that my husband who's you know 50 almost 50. He never been into the gaming thing. Even though we grew up with the Atari and other things in our childhood, he never got hooked. And then we had a son and he seven and Santa brought him a Nintendo switch. So don and Donato have been bonding while playing the switch. Mario Kart. I would take Mario kart in a monster truck game. Now, I will say it doesn't happen every night, maybe a couple times a week. They go to the basement. Half an hour 45 minutes, the two of them cackling, laughing, having a great old father son time and I'm starting to wonder if you can become a gamer late in life. Can my husband suddenly become addicted later in life? So your husband is how old almost 50. All right, so he's about what four years plus older than me? I wouldn't tell you that after spending some time playing this souped up Happy Man game on my apple arcade over the weekend for the first time ever. Yes, I think it's possible that at 50, you could fall in love with gaming again. If you haven't fallen love with it before for the first time because There's something therapeutic about it. Also, if he looks at this as a way to create memories with his son, I can see him continuing on this path. And I want nothing to do with it. Like I am thrilled that I don't have to be roped into this thing, because video games have never been my thing. And the other thing that I've noticed, too, with guise of a certain age who fall back in love with gaming is that they can use that gaming as a Time to relieve stress and spend some time alone away from everybody else in the family. So just keep an eye on that. That's fine. If he wants to go downstairs to the basement and play little Mario cart or whatever. "Troubled times, with many people working at home and staying at home to kind of stop the spread of this cove it we're turning to different things to give our minds occupied and define sanity were told me in chilly in the morning. It's 97.1 Wash FM and Chili Amar, You've turned to something new. You know, people were doing jigsaw puzzles that didn't work for me. So I turned to paint by numbers, Toby paint by numbers, you know, like back when we were kids. Yes. So tell me you've been painting by numbers. How is this going for you? It's started only two weeks ago. And I love it so much so that I've already ordered my next one. And that one's arriving today. So the first one I got Is the title basin with the Washington Monument and I thought, you know I'm going to try. Let's see how this goes every day. I chipped away at it while I was in virtual class with Donato. And what's great for me. It really help with my anxiety because my mind doesn't wander and think intrusive thoughts while I'm looking for number seven that's supposed to be pink. You know what I mean? Like it just Makes you think about just that in the moment and so, in addition to some of the medication, I'm now doing this. Wow, who knew liquor meds and painting by numbers are helping you to get through these troubled times. I never said liquor out loud. I'm telling you right now go ahead and send me a picture of that. I want to see a quick shot of what this looks like. Send me that here in teams via text away. Hang on me, like all right? Okay, since you told me it's supposed to be the tidal basin with the monument, I can see where you're coming from. But you're right. The pink to me at first blush looks like fog. Um, but I do like the abstract colors of everything to the north and to the east of the monument. Very abstract, the way the colors cascade. That's very cool. Very cool. Water color, looking paint by numbers, sort of a gimmick it and when you're in it, you don't know what it's gonna end up looking like Because you hope that it turns out, Okay, but get a magnifying glass. If you do paint by numbers because those dots are teeny, tiny. Well, it looks like you found your thing. Chile, Monet. So if you want to commission me for any paint by numbers, just make sure you put the numbers and that the color matches. Yes, please. All right. Well, tell me you're chilly in the morning. Ah, witness called with a tip that Williams appeared in video being run by British broadcaster ITV depicting her presence in the capital during the riot. Richard CAn't Sue ABC News We welcome Mark Some person from club his business first this morning. Hey, Good morning. How are you bringing me a pretty good You're doing well. I'm doing fine. Just just fine. Alright. Well, let's dive into this this morning, very jealous to see that there's a local university that is hoping to draw a new students. I understand the pandemic and the communication, but they're going to a drive through admission. Yeah. Hi, a Dominican University Private Catholic College in Columbus. Um, just like the other colleges faced a ton of problems in the pandemic. They couldn't get to schools to recruit kids. They couldn't go to college affairs where kids can come by and talk with advisers. They're hoping this drive thru event that's coming up will attract students who really just want something quick and easy and get into that college. So you drive up. If you've already started your preparation online. You can put a deposit down and within 20 minutes, you might get accepted to the university. And then all things are cemented. The university gets more students. The students get an easy quick answer. And everybody's happy. I see. Pre registration is encouraged, but it's not required for this. No, no, you can actually do it there. What What you do is you'll drive up. You start the process. You can put a deposit down. You can do a self guided tour of the university, which takes a few minutes. On Ben. They can offer a decision within 20 minutes or so. So it may be that quick. I mean, when I applied way back 30 some years ago college I had to wait for a letter to be delivered by Uncle Sam That told me either. I was rejected or accepted. And, you know, I got a couple of boats. Yeah, well, Mark, is it wrong? I save my rejection letters. I saved all of my college rejection letters, which there were a lot of them and my Job rejection letters. I don't know what that says, but I saved my job rejection. Some of them were so funny. They were very creative and telling me I was not qualified to work for their company. Hey, could quick story so I sent a what's called a demo back in the day is the tape. Now that you just send it, MP three And it was to a radio station in l A. Apparently I thought I just I had I had enough mojo to go there and never heard back from them. But, you know, I know that they got it. Because they put an ad in the industry newspaper Trade magazine. And it was it was. It was specifically saying, Hey, if you want to apply, we're looking for this. But please don't send us a demo saying this. This It was everything I did in the devil s anyway. You provided You provided a public service for sure. Yeah. I never felt so ashamed of my life. I'm like, Wow, that's embarrassing. Wow, I'm not okay. Moving on Red Robin, this red Robin deal We've heard about for months here, Mark. This is giving something pretty cool with the Donatos, and that's a nationwide reach now. Yeah, they had this deal. Signed a couple years back with Red Robin menu. Uh, Berg Gourmet burgers, and there are Colorado based chain into Nodoz, of course, is a Columbus based piece of chain that makes round pieces with square cuts. Um, they had this deal that there would be red robin pizzas on the menus and 79 locations. Well, apparently it has done so well that they're going to do another 120 restaurants nationwide this year, which gives a Columbus brand a national reach, which is something that Donatos pizza really? Once they think that this is a good fit for them, And obviously it's a good fit for red Robin. Um and because of the pandemic and people doing carry out. This gives consumers an easy choice that if you have a family that's divided on whether they want burgers or pizza, you can do both. And suddenly red. Robin has that on their menu, and that's really good news for Donatos and Red, Robin says. That's really good news for them. Well, Mark in this struggle of small businesses, and I realized in Otto's is not AH, small business, either. It is red Robin. But in this day and age of the struggle is real. If you will, a partnerships, Seymour important now between businesses. Yeah, you would think so. It's a way to share revenue. It's a way to share, uh, things that both of them once, but the other one can provide on bit's away to double up on something that you can provide consumers and this is something that consumers are looking for, especially during the pandemic, and they're and they're taking carry out is more ease. So the timing seemed to really good on this. You know, Mark A couple of months ago, I did a podcast with chain grody able, and she was talking about the excitement of this partnership with the red Robin and she She said. I think in this podcast that she feels like this is part of the future of denied. Oh, so good. Oh, yeah. Um yeah, definitely. I mean, they've got 540 restaurants nationwide on. But if you could get a Donatos in each of these, that that's a huge reach for a company that mostly stays in in and around Columbus, so suddenly they are a big nationwide brand with a big nationwide chain. To anchor their stores..

As she listened to the show. So she said, Hey, would you like to help out? Of course I would. I thought it was a one and done thing. Oh, no, It's a weekly thing. Because, well, I'm extra and everything that I do. And so now you're bringing all of this extra to bear for the class. When does the first Dramatic reading start. It's already been two weeks.
